WHEN PRESSING THE BRAKE TO STOP NOTHING HAPPENS RIGHT AWAY. THEN THE PEDAL TICKS (STUDDERS) GOES CLOSE TO THE FLOOR AND LOCK UP.

WHILE DRIVING AND WITHOUT WARNING AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IS SHIFTING GEARS, STALLING RESULTS, AND VEHICLE STOPS. *AK
DRIVERS BUCKET SEAT HAS CAUSED LOWER BACK PAIN AND IS UNCOMFORTABLE TO DRIVE. *AK CONSUMER STATED THAT BECAUSE OF THE DESIGN FLAW, THE LUMBAR SUPPORT ON BOTH DRIVERS AND FRONT PASSENGER SEATS ARE NOT PROPERLY ALIGNED AND CANNOT BE ADJUSTED UP OR DOWN, CONSUMER IS CONCERNED ABOUT HIS BACK. *YD
WE ARE EXPERIENCING EXESSIVE TREMBLING OF THE STEERING WHEEL AND SHAKING OF BOTH OUTSIDE MIRRORS. TRUCK HAS BEEN TAKEN TO 3 DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS WITH NO SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEMS. THE LAST DEALERSHIP NEAR OUR HOME HAS REPLACED BOTH FRONT TIRES, AND DURING OUR LAST VISIT (12/03/01) THEY REPLACED ALL 4 TIRES!! PLEASE HELP, AS WE ARE AFRAID TO DRIVE THE TRUCK WITH OUR 2 KIDS IN THE BACK SEAT!! *AK
RECALL- TIRE PLACARD- PRESENT PLACARD AND NEW PLACARD DO NOT MATCH TIRES THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE SPEC TIRES FOR VEHICLE- ORIGINAL TIRES ON VEHICLE- PLACARDS WRONG OR TIRES AND TIRE SPECS LISTED FOR VEHICLE ARE WRONG- NO HELP FROM GM GARAGE. *AK
THE TRANAMISSION HAD MECHANICAL PROBLEMS, AND WAS SERVICED FIVE TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND THERE WAS AN OIL LEAK AT THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL PINION SEAL AS WELL. *YH
I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE AND 1 WEEK AFTER PURCHASE THE ENGINE BEGAN MAKING A KNOCKING NOISE WHICH PROCEEDED TO GET LOUDER. I PHONED MY DEALERSHIP AND THEY MADE AN APPT TO BRING IN THE VEHICLE FOR INSPECTION. I WAS TOLD AT THAT TIME THAT THE VORTEC ENGINE MADE THAT SOUND AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. I DISAGREED AS IT DIDNT KNOCK WHEN I PURCHASED IT. THEY DID A TOP ENGINE CLEAN AND RETURNED THE VEHICLE. I DROVE IT TO WYOMING AND THE SAME DAY I PICKED IT UP IT WAS KNOCKING AND MISSING. I PHONED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID TO BRING IT IN WHEN I GOT HOME AND GAVE ME GM CARES NUMBER IN CASE IT BROKE DOWN. I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK IN AND THEY HAVE NOW HAD IT FOR 16 DAYS. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO REPAIR IT . I PHONED GM THEY SAID 1 OUT OF 4 VORTEC ENGINES HAVE THIS PROBLEM..THEY HAVE NO FIX FOR IT BUT I SHOULD GET AT LEAST 36 THOUSAND MILES FROM THE ENGINE. I TOLD THEM THAT WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE I PAID 28 THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR THE TRUCK AND WAS TOLD I SHOULD GET AT LEAST 200 THOUSAND MILES ON THE ENGINE. THEY WERE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM BEFORE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BUT NEVER DISCLOSED THIS TO ME. THE TRANSMISSION IS ALSO SPINNING IN GEAR. I WAS AT A STOPLIGHT AND AT THE GREEN LIGHT ACCELERATED BUT THE TRANSMISSION SPUN THEN JUMPED INTO GEAR AND ALMOST THREW THE TRUCK INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. ALSO TOWING MY HORSE TRAILER THE TRANSMISSION DOESNT SHIFT PROPERLY.*AK
AFTER ONLY HAVING THIS NEW TRUCK FOR 2 DAYS THE TRANSMISSION WAS TAKEN OUT OF IT DUE TO A TICKING NOISE IN THE ENGINE. THE MECHANIC WAS ADVISED BY GM TO TAKE OUT THE TRANSMISSION AND REPLACE A FLYWHEEL. AFTER 2 WEEKS OF WAITING FOR A PART I PICKED UP MY TRUCK. THE NEXT DAY THE NOISE WAS BACK. I HAVE HAD 2 GM REPS LISTEN TO THE NOISE. THE SECOUND REP TOLD ME THAT IT WAS "ENTRAINED GASSES" AND THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT. I DID NOT PURCHASE THIS TRUCK MAKING THE NOISE AND DO NOT WANT IT ANYMORE AFTER THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN TAKEN OUT.*AK
THE SEAT SLIDES FORWARD OR BACKWARD IF THE HEEL OF YOUR FOOT RESTS ON THE SEAT, CAUSING THE SEAT ADJUSTMENT TO DISENGAGE, THROWING YOU TO THE REAR OR THE CAB OR INTO THE STEERING WHEEL MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTROL THE TRUCK.THIS TRUCK HAPPENS TO HAVE MANUAL SEAT ADJUSTMENT.*AK
BOTH FRONT TIRES ARE WEARING AND DEALER SAYS THERE IS NOTHING WRONG, AND WILL NOT REPAIR FRONT END. *AK
RIGHT REAR VIEW MIRROR ONLY COMES IN FLAT GLASS. BECAUSE IT IS FLAT, CONSUMER CAN'T SEE ANYTHING BEHIND . ALSO, CAN'T EVEN SEE TO MAKE A LANE CHANGE. CONTACTED DEALER, AND DEALER INSISTS NOTHING THEY CAN DO .*AK
WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH BRAKE AND POWER STEERING PUMP BROKE. CONSUMER REARENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH FRONTAL IMPACT. BRAKES DID NOT TAKE HOLD. CONSUMER CONTACTED DEALER, AND MECHANIC STATED BRAKES SHOULD NOT HAVE BROKEN. *AK
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE AT SLOW SPEED BRAKES WOULD GO DOWN TO THE FLOOR.THIS FAILED TO STOP VEHICLE, AND HAPPENED INTERMITTENTLY. CONTACTED DEALER, AND DEALER STATED NOTHING TO BE DONE.*AK
FUEL SLOSHES AND MOVES TRUCK AND MAKES THUMP NOISE AS IF NO BAFFLES. AFRAID IT WILL BREAK TANK AND SPILL FUEL. WAS TAKEN TO DEALER FOR REPAIR BUT NOT PUT ON SHOP REPAIR REPORT AS I HAD REQUESTED.*AK

I HAVE TAKEN THIS TRUCK TO 2 DIFFERENT CHEVROLET DEALERSHIPS AND CONTACTED CHEVROLET ABOUT THIS KNOCKING SOUND WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STARTED AND THEY TELL ME THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE 1999, NOT JUST ON TRUCKS. ONE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT WAS BECAUSE I DIDN'T USE A GMCOIL FILTER.*AK
