COMPLAINT RECEIVED VIA E-MAIL. "WE HAVE A TRUCK WHICH WE BROUGHT BRAND NEW AND HAVE HAD IT BACK TO THE DEALER FOR VIBRATION EVER SINCE WE BOUGHT IT." THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING, BUT BALANCE AT THE TIRE. WE HAVE HAD BRAND NEW GOODYEAR TIRES PUT ON THE TRUCK, MOUNTED, BALANCED, ETC,. AND IT CONTINUED TO VIBRATE. THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, YET IT CONTINUED TO VIBRATE BETWEEN 40-50 MPH. WE RECENTLY FOUND A SERVICE BULLETIN ON THE TRUCK #3009. *AK THE PASSENGER DOOR LOCK WAS FALLING OFF, THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR WAS HARD TO SHUT AND THE DRIVER DOOR LOCK POPPED OUT. *SC
CLUNK TYPE FEELING IN STEERING WHEEL ON TURNS AND WHEN HITTING BUMPS. ENGINE KNOCK ON COLD START. *BF ENGINE WAS NOISY WHEN STARTED AFTER HAVING SAT OVER NIGHT *TC *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET C/K 3500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, HE DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL BUT THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TRAVELING INTO THE INTERSECTION UNTIL THE VEHICLE STOPPED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION WHERE THEY STATED THAT THE FRONT BRAKES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED FOUR ADDITIONAL TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
THE CABLE ON ONE SIDE OF MY CHEVROLET PICKUP GATE BROKE CAUSING THE GATE TO FALL ONTO THE BUMPER. AFTER PURCHASING A NEW PAIR OF CABLES FROM THE DEALER I NOTICED THAT THE GATE WAS NOT PROPERLY ALIGNED CAUSING THE WEIGHT OF THE GATE TO BE PLACED ALL ON ONE CABLE. I ALERTED THE DEALERSHIP TO THIS PROBLEM WHICH THEY LOOKED AT AND SUGGESTED THAT I COULD MAKE SOME ADJUSTMENTS TO THE TAILGATE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I TRIED TO MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT BUT COULD NOT GET ANY MOVEMENT IN THE TAILGATE SO I AM STILL DRIVING WITH THE PROBLEM.*AK
CONSUMER STATED THAT HE WAS HAVING A HARD TIME GETTING THE VEHICLE TO STOP WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES. HE HAD TO PUSH DOWN HARD ON THE BRAKE PEDAL TO GET THE VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN, THEN STOP. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO DEALER 3 TIMES. ONCE DEALER REPLACED THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER. HOWEVER, HE WAS STILL HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN AND STOP.*AK THE CONSUMER IS CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY ISSUES AND FEELS THAT THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE LOOKED AT AGAIN. *CB *JB
THE POWER STEERING PUMP SHAFT HAS FAILED. AS A RESULT THE VEHICLE'S BRAKES FAILED AND STEERING BECAME IMPOSSIBLE. PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *NLM
THE TAILGATE CABLE BROKE WHILE LOAD AN ATV. THE ATV FELL ON THE CONSUMER BREAKING HIS SHOULDER IN THREE PLACES. DEALERSHIP INDICATED THAT THIS WAS CAUSED BY THE TAILGATE RUBBER COATING RUSTING.*AK *PH *NLM
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON WHEN FUEL TANK IS MORE THAN HALF FULL. *LA
THE DEFROSTER KICKES ON IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING, SINCE I GOT THIS TRUCK. I WILL BE DRIVING DOWN THE RD, AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN MY WINDSHIELD FOGGES UP VERY RAPIDLY. LAST TIME, A SEMI WAS BEHIND US AND MY WIFE AND SON WERE WITH ME. WE WERE ALMOST KILLED!!!MY WARRANTY WAS VERY SHORT LIVED SINCE THIS WAS USED WHEN I BOUGH IT. MY WIFE, AND SON ALSO DRIVE CHEVYS & GMC.I HAVE TAKEN IT TO DEALERS BUT THEY SAY I HAVE TO PAY 100'S OF DOLLARS TO REPAIR IT, THEN IT MAY NOT BE REPAIRABLE THAT IT IS AUTOMATIC. WE WILL NEVER BUY GMC OR CHEVY AGAIN. IT ISNT EVEN SAFE TO DRIVE IN THIS VEHICLE!IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME!*AK
ALL FOUR TIRES ON THE VEHICLE WARPED AND HAD STRESS MARKS LOCATED ON THE INNER AND OUTER SIDE OF THE TIRE. THERE WERE NO INCIDENTS OR FATALITIES TO REPORT BUT THE DRIVER IS CONCERNED BECAUSE THESE TIRES ARE A POTENTIAL HAZARD; A ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. THE TIRE ARE BRIDGESTONE LT#P2457R16 1201169. PLEASE PROVIDE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND THE DOT NUMBER FOR THESE TIRES. *NLM
THE HYDRAULIC PUMP FAILED WHILE DRIVING. THE CONSUMER WAS FORCED TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. HEAVY DUTY 2002 DIESEL SILVERADO. *NLM DEALER REPLACED POWER STEERING PUMP BUT THERE WAS NO BRAKES, PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, CONSUMER LEFT VEHICLE IDLING WHILE CHANGING A TIRE ON THE TRAILER. GOT IN THE VEHICLE, STEPPED ON THE BRAKE AND LOST THE BRAKES AND TRAILER LIGHTS. CONSUMER DECIDED TO DRIVE ABOUT A MILE TO EXIT FREEWAY WHEN THE BRAKES STARTED TO WORK AGAIN. *PH
I PURCHASED A NEW 2002 CHEVY SILVERADO EXT CAB 4WD IN NOVEMBER 2001. THE TRUCK CURRENTLY HAS 48000 MILES ON IT. THE REAR BRAKES HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY REBUILT 3 TIMES DUE TO EXCESS WEAR AND FAILURE. THE DEALERSHIP HAS PAID FOR THE REPAIRS TWICE AND SPLIT THE COST ONCE BUT HAS ADVISED THEY WILL NOT PAY FOR IT ANYMORE. THE CAUSE APPEARS TO BE STICKING WHICH WEARS THE PADS OUT WHICH IN TURN WEAR OUT THE ROTORS. THE CALIPERS FREEZE UP AND REQUIRE REPLACING. THE PARKING BRAKE IS USED REGULARLY AND WORKS OKAY. AFTER THE LAST REPAIR, THE ABS CHATTERS WHEN COMING TO A STOP ON CLEAR DRY PAVEMENT, LIKE A PARKING LOT OR STOP SIGN. *LA
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN FOR STATE INSPECTION AND THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WOULD NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE REAR ROTORS TO WEAR PREMATURELY WHICH RESULTED IN THE REPLACEMENT OF THE ROTORS TWICE PRIOR TO BEING INFORMED OF THE EMERGENCY BRAKE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.
VEHICLE BEGAN MAKING A CLUNKING NOISE THAT COULD BE FELT WITHIN THE STEERING WHEEL AND STEERING COLUMN. EVENTUALLY BECAME A RATTLE SO BAD THAT IT WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC WHO INFORMED US THAT THERE WAS A TECHNICAL BULLETIN ISSUED ON THIS PROBLEM. #00-02-35-003C. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LOCAL GM DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS. IT WAS STATED ON THE N/C INVOICE THAT THE SOLUTION WAS 'REPACK STEERING SHAFT WITH GREASE KIT' PART #26098419, VEHICLE HAD 6,941 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. VEHICLE WAS FINE FOR SOME TIME, BUT BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE THE SAME ISSUE AGAIN. LOCAL DEALERSHIP WAS CALLED AND WE WERE INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE THAT COULD BE DONE. VEHICLE NOW HAS JUST OVER 20,000 MILES AND IS STILL MAKING THIS NOISE AND THE FEELING IN THE STEERING COLUMN IS VERY BAD. FEELS AS IF SOMETHING IS GOING TO FALL APART AT ANY MOMENT. WE HAVE RECEIVED NO FURTHER INFORMATION REGARDING THIS SITUATION AND WILL NOW TRY TO CONTACT GM TO FIND OUT IF A SOLUTION TO THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN FOUND. IT ACTUALLY FEELS 'DANGEROUS', LIKE THE STEERING IS NOT 'SURE' AND VERY LOOSE AND SLOPPY. WE HAD A FRONT END ALIGNMENT PERFORMED JUST A MONTH AGO BUT THAT DID NOT IMPROVE THIS ISSUE. OBVIOUSLY IT IS THE STEERING SHAFT PROBLEM AGAIN. I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED TO FIND OUT IF INDEED THERE IS NO SAFETY RISK. *TR
WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH BRAKES FAILED. PEDAL WOULD GO TO THE FLOOR, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. HAD TAKEN VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP,BUT PROBLEM NOT RESOLVED. *AK
THE BRAKE LINE THAT RUNS TO THE REAR LEFT WHEEL WAS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY CAUSING IT TO CONTACT THE TURN DOWN SEAM OF THE CAB SHEETMETAL. THIS WAS LOCATED JUST BEHIND THE FUEL COOLER. THE RUBBING CAUSED THE LINE TO BURST WHILE STOPPING. THE DEALER SERVICE REP SAID THAT SINCE THE TRUCK WAS 10K OVER THE WARRANTY THAT IT WOULD BE UNLIKELY THAT THE GM WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. SINCE I DIDN'T HAVE THE TIME TO FIGHT WITH THE DEALER AND SINCE I USE THE TRUCK IN THE COURSE OF MY BUSINESS I HAD IT REPAIRED BY LOCAL MECHANIC.
THE CABLES THAT HOLD UP MY TRUCKS TAILGATE SNAPPED WHEN MY FRIEND SAT ON IT. MY FRIEND ONLY WEIGHS ABOUT 165 LBS. LUCKILY, HE ONLY SUFFERED A MINOR SCRAPE FROM THE INCIDENT.*AK
WE HAVE A 2002 CHEVROLET SILVERADO EXTENDED CAB TRUCK. THE TRACKS THAT THE FRONT SEATS SLIDE ON STICK OUT VERY FAR IN THE BACK. THEY ARE MADE OF METAL, AND THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY GUARDS ON THEM. MY FOUR YEAR OLD SON CLIMBED IN THE BACK SEAT AND HIT HIS KNEE ON THE METAL TRACK. IT CUT HIS KNEE. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. I HAVE EVEN CUT MY HAND ON THESE TRACKS WHEN I AM CLEANING OUT THE TRUCK. I HAVE A 2002 FORD EXPLORER, AND THE TRACKS HAVE PLASTIC COVERS OVER THEM. CHEVROLET NEEDS TO MAKE SOME PLASTIC COVERS TO PUT OVER THESE TRACKS. THEY ARE DANGEROUS. I AM PRINTING THIS COMPLAINT AND MAILING IT TO YOU, ALONG WITH PICTURES OF THE TRACKS. I WILL ALSO SUBMIT THIS OVER THE INTERNET. *TS *JB
WHILE DRIVING A "PINGING" NOISE COULD BE HEARD COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE DEALER DETERMINED THAT CARBON BUILD-UP ON TOP OF THE PISTONS WAS THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *NLM THE OIL PUMP WAS REPLACED BUT THE NOISE WAS STILL PRESENT. CONSUMER CONCERNED THAT THE ENGINE WILL FAIL IF THIS IS A LUBRICATION PROBLEM. HE BROTHER HAS THE SAME MAKE, MODEL AND EXPERIENCED THE SAME DEFECT. VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY THE SAME DEALERSHIP AND PROBLEM CEASED. *PH
2002 CHEVROLET 2500HD DURAMAX FUEL INJECTOR FAILURE. SEEMS TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH LEAKING AT 'TEST PORT' ON INJECTORS. APPEARS TO BE A GLOBAL PROBLEM WITH THIS ENGINE. OCCURS AT AROUND 50-70,000 MILES. CHEVROLET WILL NOT ANSWER AS TO WHETHER THEY PLAN A RECALL OR NOT. WHEN THE INJECTORS LEAK, THE DIESEL FUEL ENTERS THE ENGINE BLOCK, CAUSING LOSS OF OIL PRESSURE, LOSS OF FUEL MILEAGE, OIL LEAKS, LOSS OF POWER, AND SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF DIESEL FUEL LEAKAGE. CHEVROLET HAS THESE PARTS BACK ORDERED AS A RESULT OF THE MAGNITUDE OF THE PROBLEM.
I OWN A 2002 CHEVY SILVERADO 2500HP. WHILE GETTING ONTO THE TAILGATE ABOUT A MONTH AGO BOTH CABLES SNAPPED CLEAN AND I WENT TO THE GROUND UNHARMED. LUCKILY I FELL AWAY FROM THE TRUCK AND THE TAILGATE WAS NOT DENTED. HAVE WARNED ALL MY FRIENDS TO CHECK THEIR TRUCKS AS WELL. BOUGHT NEW CABLES AND INSTALLED FOR ABOUT $25. *LA
MY DAUGHTER CLIMBED UP ON THE TAILGATE OF MY 2002 CHEVROLET PICK UP AND WAS STANDING UP WHEN THE CABLES BROKE. THE TAILGATE DROPPED AND SHE FELL TO THE GROUND LANDING ON HER TAIL BONE.SHE WAS NOT SERIOUSLY INJURED BUT WAS VERY STIFF AND SORE AND COULDNT HARDLY WALK FOR 3 DAYS.*AK
VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH. *MR THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD THAT THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE PROBLEM CONTINUED, THEN THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD AGAIN THAT THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AGAIN. THE DEALER FOUND THAT THE A/C LINE WAS ROUTED DIRECTLY ABOVE THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP TO RETAIN MOISTURE AND MISFIRE. *SC *JB
THE ENGINE CONSUMED AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF OIL. THE DEALER HAD INSPECTED THE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES, AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE OR CORRECT THE PROBLEM. *AK IF ENGINE STOPS RUNNING BECAUSE OF LACK OF OIL, THE STEERING AND BRAKES WOULD LOCK RESULTING IN A COLLISION. *PH *JB
A VERY NOTICEABLE CLUNK IN THE FRONT END WHEN TURNING RIGHT OR LEFT. CAN BE FELT THROUGH THE STEERING WHEEL AND ON THE FLOOR. THIS PROBLEM HAS EXSISTED FOR OVER 15,000 MILES. DEALER PUT AN EXTRA HEAVY GREASE IN STEERING SHAFT. ONLY LASTED FOR ABOUT 2,000 MILES. SEVERAL MORE GREASE ATTEMPTS. NO IMPROVEMENT. AT 35,900 MILES NEW FRONT SHOCKS. PROBLEM IS STILL PRESENT. I AM CONCERNED AS TO WHAT MAY COME NEXT. LOSS OF STEERING? TRUCK IS NOW OUT OF WARRANTY AND I AM APPARENTLY ON MY OWN.*AK
THE FRONT AXLE SEAL FAILED PREMATURELY. *JB THE CONSUMER STATED THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT FAILED. *SCC *JB
ON THE 2002 SILVERADO CHEVY PU TRUCK, THERE IS A PLASTIC COVER OVER A BAR UNDER THE DASH BOARD, NEAR THE GAS PEDAL. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE TIP OF THE SOLE OF A DRIVER'S SHOE CAN GET SNAGGED ON THAT PIECE OF PLASTIC WITH THE EFFECT THAT THE DRIVER'S FOOT IS HELD DOWN OF THE GAS PEDAL. ONE DRIVER EXPERIENCED THAT.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 30-40 MPH, THERE WAS A CLUNKING NOISE COMING FROM THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE BOUNCED. THE NOISE INTENSIFIED WHEN MAKING A TURN. THE DEALER GREASED THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT. THE FAILURE CONTINUED AND THE INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE STILL PERSISTS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 112,000. UPDATED 03-05-08 *BF
MY TRUCK 2002 CHEVY SILVERADO 2500HD HAS AN ENGINE LEAK. I HAVE HEARD RUMMERS OF A BAD VALVE IN THE ENGINE THAT LETS TO MUCH OIL GO THROUGH. I HAVE MENTIONED TO THE SERVICE ASSOCIATE AT THE DEALER AND HE HAS NOT MENTIONED OF ANY SUCH DEFECT. I HAVE TALK TO SEVERAL OTHER GM TRUCK OWNERS AND THEY HAVE THE SAME COMPLAINT FROM THEIR 8.1L ENGINE.
WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH CONSUMER APPLIED BRAKES AND LOCKED THE WHEELS. DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK
LOSS OF REVERSE, SECOND AND FOURTH GEARS COMPLETELY IN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. *AK
2002 CHEVY SILVERADO WITH A 4.8L ENGINE KNOCK, FROM WHAT GM SAID IS PISTON SLAP. THEY SAID THEY WILL NOT FIX THIS PROBLEM AT THIS TIME. THEY SAID THEY SEND OUT A LETTER OF WARRANTY FOR SIX YEARS OR 100,000 MILES, IF ENGINE FAILS DUE TO THE PISTON SLAP/KNOCK. I THINK THAT SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS. THERE COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE WITH THIS, SUCH AS ENGINE FAILURE ON THE INTERSTATE. WE THE CONSUMER SHOULD NOT BE TOLD TO DEAL WITH IT, WHEN PAYING UP TO 30,000 DOLLARS FOR A NEW VEHICLE, THAT HAS A PISTON KNOCK. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED, NOT COVERED UP.
REAR ROTORS SHOT AFTER 10,000 MILES. WOULD NOT PASS INSPECTION. TOOK BACK TO DEALER, THEY MACHINED THEM DOWN TO NOTHING. DID NOT REPLACE THE ROTORS. THESE ROTORS FROM THE FACTORY MUST BE DEFECTIVE. MY MECHANIC SAID HES NEVER SEEN ROTORS LIKE THIS IN 30 OF WORKING. SO MUCH FOR THE 3 YR BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. *AK
VEHICLE SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, IN PARTICULAR WHEN THE AIR CONDITIONER WAS ON. DEALER HAS REPLACED THREE TIMES THE CAP AND ROTOR.*AK
THE TIE ROD HAS BROKEN TWICE IN THE LAST FOUR MONTHS. THE MOST RECENT WAS ON 7/19/2003. VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY BEING REPAIRED. *AK
THE POWER STEERING & POWER BRAKES WENT OUT SIMULTANEOUSLY. FORTUNATELY I WAS ONLY TOWING THE BOAT TRAILER(2000 LBS) I HAD JUST UNLOADED A 5000 LB BOAT THE DATE WAS 7 JULY. NO ONE WAS INJURED AND NOTHING WAS DAMAGED. HOWEVER UPON CHECKING AROUND THIS APPARENTLY IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON THIS GM PLATFORM. THE DEALERSHIP KNEW WHAT WAS WRONG BEFORE THEY SAW THE VEHICLE AND ADMIT TO SERVICING THIS PROBLEM. MY ISSUE IS HOW MANY PEOPLE NEED TO BE INJURED OR KILLED BEFORE SOMEONE RECALLS THESE. I JUST FOUND OUT THAT THE SHAFT WHICH IS BREAKING HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A NEW PART BUT THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF THESE THINGS OUT THERE AND NO WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED. MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP. THEY HAVE REPLACED 6 OF THESE IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS. THE DEALERSHIP IN CHEBOYGAN HAS REPLACED 5 IN THE RECENT PAST FOR A TOTAL OF 11 IN TWO DEALERSHIPS.
THE CONSUMER STATED THE STEERING WHEEL WAS DIFFICULT TO TURN TO THE RIGHT. *AK THE DEALER FOUND AN INTERNAL FAILURE WITH THE POWER STEERING RACK. *JB
REAR WINDOW FELL OUT WHEN TRYING TO OPEN . DEALER NOTIFIED. *AK
VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DEALERSHIP DUE TO FROST AND MOISTURE BUILD-UP BY THE ROUTING OF THE AIR CONDITIONING TUBING ABOVE THE ELECTRONIC IGNITION DISTRIBUTION CAP THAT LED TO COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE ENGINE. *LA *JB
I OWN A 2002 CHEVY SILVERADO, THE TAILGATE CABLES THAT HOLD THE TAILGATE ONTO THE TRUCK BROKE SMOOTH IN HALF WHILE THE TAILGATE WAS DOWN AND ONLY TWO ADULTS WERE SITTING ON THE TAILGATE.THIS TRUCK IS ONLY A YEAR OLD AND THIS HAPPENS, THEY ARE SUPPOSSE TO LAST ALOT LONGER THAN THAT.*AK
BRAKES FAILED TO STOP THE TRUCK (BRAKE PEDAL GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION) I TOOK THE TRUCK BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY FOUND THE HYDRO BOOST TO THE BRAKES TO BE LEAKING FLIUD. THEY REPLACED THE PART, IT HELPED THE BRAKES SOME BUT DID NOT TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM IS WHEN YOU ARE ON A POTHOLE OR WASHBOARD ROAD AND USE THE BRAKES THE PEDAL WILL GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND WILL NOT STOP THE TRUCK AT ALL. WHEN YOU STOP ON A SMOOTH ROAD THE BRAKES SEEM TO WORK FINE. TTHE ONLY OTHER THING THAT IS A REAL CONCERN TO ME IS WHEN YOU ARE JUST SITTING IN THE TRUCK WETHER IT IS RUNNING OR NOT YOU CAN PUSH ON THE BRAKE PEDAL WITH LITTLE EFFORT AND IT WILL GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. I HAVE TAKEN THE TRUCK TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERS TO TRY AND GET MY PROBLEM SOLVED. THE MECHANICS AGREE THAT IT SHOULDN'T DO WHAT ITS DOING BUT CAN'T FIND THE PROBLEM. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN IT IS DARGEROUS TO DRIVE THE TRUCK . *AK

THE SEAT FABRIC UNRAVELED WHILE THE CONSUMER PLACED THE SEAT INSIDE THE VEHICLE (THE CHILD SEAT INFORMATION WAS NOT GIVEN). *AK *CB *NLM
VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHEN NEIGHBOR NOTICED SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE ENGINE AREA. CONSUMER USED FIRE EXTINGUISHER TO PUT OUT THE FIRE. *AK *PH
MOISTURE DRIPPING FROM AN AIR CONDITIONER HOSE CORRODED THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP TO THE POINT THAT THE ENGINE WOULD RUN VERY ROUGHLY AND WITH NO POWER. DEALER REPLACED THE CAP, SPARK PLUG WIRES AND COVERED THE A/C HOSE AT 22800 MILES BUT THE SAME SYMPTOMS STARTED AGAIN AT 43880 MILES.
CONSUMER WILL PROVIDE INFORMATION ON THIS REAR SUSPENSION PROBLEM , (AFTER MARKET PRODUCTS). *AK
