TRUCK SOMEHOW RAN INTO A CONCRETE FIXTURE THAT SUPPORTED A SIGNAL LIGHT. ESTIMATED SPEED OF HEAD ON COLLISION INTO FIXTURE WAS 25 - 30 MPH. NEITHER OF DUAL AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITH BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER MAKING CONTACT WITH DASHBOARD. DRIVER STATED THAT CHILD'S TEETH PRINT WERE ON DASH CONSOLE. ENTIRE BUMPER SMASHED BACK INTO ENGINE, AND STEERING WHEEL BROKE. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. *AK
DRIVERS' SEATBACK WILL FALL BACKWARDS CATCHING DRIVER OFF GUARD. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN 2 DIFFERENT SHOPS SIX TIMES FOR THIS AND OTHER FAILURES; PROBLEM NOT BEING RESOLVED/REPAIRED BY DEALERSHIPS. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. *AK

THE OWNER PURCHASED AN OPTIONAL PACKAGE THAT RELATED TO THE EXTENDED TOW MIRRORS. ON THIS PARTICULAR TRUCK THE MIRRORS DO NOT COME WITH "FISH EYES" ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE OWNER WAS TOLD THAT HIS TRUCK WAS NOT PART OF THE UPGRADE FOR THE 2002 WHICH DOES PROVIDE FISH EYE ON BOTH SIDES. PLEASE DESCRIBE DETAILS. *MR

I WAS IN A WRECK LAST MONDAY NIGHT WHILE DRIVING A COMPANY VAN. THE CRUISE CONTROL WHEN YOU SET IT AT A SPEED THEN GO DOWN A HILL IT WOULD GET 15-20 MILES FASTER. ANY HOW THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE WENT DOWN AND I HIT A GUARD RAIL WITH THE FRONT OF THE VAN A FIRE STARTED IMMEDIATELY BY MY LEFT FOOT AND NONE OF THE FRONT AIR BAGS DEPLOYED UNTIL THE FIRE GOT TO THEM. THE VAN ROLLED OVER ONCE AND LANDED ON ITS WHEELS THE DOORS WOULDN'T OPEN I ROLLED DOWN THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW AND GOT OUT THAT WAY AND THE ABS BRAKES WOULD LOCK UP WHEN YOU HAVE TO GET ON THEM REAL HARD. WHEN ACCELERATING, CONSUMER STATES GAS PEDAL HAS TO BE PRESS ABOUT 3 QUARTERS OF AN INCH BEFORE VEHICLE WILL MOVE. THIS SOMETIMES CAUSES VEHICLE AND TO STALL AND THE POSSIBILITY OF BEING REAR ENDED. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION. TS
CONSUMER STATED THE SHOULDER BELTS LOCKED UP, IN WHICH CONSUMER WAS PHYSICALLY UNABLE TO VIEW THE TRAFFIC WHILE MERGING INTO TRAFFIC. THE BRAKES WERE NOT BEING APPLIED AT THE TIME AND ALMOST CAUSED THREE BAD ACCIDENTS BECAUSE THE DRIVER COULDN'T VIEW THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC FROM BEHIND. THE DEALER STATED THAT THIS IS NOT A DEFECT. CONSUMER NOTICED THAT WHILE DRIVING DOWN HILL IN SNOW HE WAS UNABLE TO DOWN SHIFT VEHICLE BECAUSE THE GEAR SHIFT WAS STUCK DUE TO ICE. *NLM
WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH THE CONSUMER HIT THE DOME LIGHT OVERRIDE SWITCH AND THE HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT. *NLM *NLM

THE CONSUMER HAD TO REPLACE SEVERAL MAJOR VEHICLE COMPONENTS SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED, INCLUDING THE ENGINE WHICH FAILED AT 36,700 MILES. *NLM
WHILE DRIVING ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS THE VEHICLES FUEL INJECTORS FAILED AND CAUSED A DRASTIC LOSS OF POWER. THE FIRST FAILURE WAS AT 36,500 MILES AND THE SECOND FAILURE WAS AT 39,700 MILES. *NLM
THE VEHICLES OIL PUMP FAILED AT 36K MILES AND CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE. *NLM
THE TRANSMISSION FAILED TWICE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN REPLACED AT 10K MILES AND 20K MILES RESPECTIVELY. *NLM
PROBLEMS WITH THROTTLE BODY STICKING. *MR THE IDLE WAS ROUGH, THEREFORE THE THROTTLE BODY WAS ADJUSTED. THE VEHICLE KNOCKED LOUD ON COLD START. THE CONSUMER WAS UNSURE IF THE PROBLEM WAS THE THROTTLE BODY OR THE PISTON SLAP. THE THROTTLE BODY WAS CLEANED AND DID NOT STICK AT THAT POINT. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FREE OF CHARGE UNTIL THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED. SCC
THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE TIRE RUBBER WAS VERY FLIMSY. ROCKS WERE ABLE TO GET INSIDE THE TREAD AND PEARCE THROUGH WHICH RESULTED IN A FLAT TIRE. THE TIRE WAS REPAIRED. *NLM *CB *JB

WHILE DRIVING DRIVER SUDDENLY HEARD A LOUD SNAP. DRIVER APPLIED THE BRAKES AND BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. CAUSE UNKNOWN. *AK
WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT 60 MPH, DRIVER'S SIDE REAR TIRE EXPLODED FROM THE SIDEWALL. WHEN THIS OCCURRED, DRIVER LOST CONTROL, AND WENT OFF THE ROAD. OTHER 3 TIRES AND SPARE WERE SPLITTING AT THE SIDEWALL. CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS UNDETERMINED. *AK
FUEL WAS NOT FLOWING FREELY THROUGH THE FUEL LINES TO THE ENGINE. THIS IS CAUSING VEHICLE TO FUNCTION POORLY. DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE DISTRIBUTOR AND THE FUEL TANK, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE BLOCKAGE WAS UNDETERMINED.*AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 43 MPH VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A LEFT FRONT COLLISION. UPON IMPACT, FRONT AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, AND PASSENGER SUSTAINED INJURIES. *AK
CONSUMER STATED WHILE TRAVELING WITH 4-WHEEL DRIVE ON AND WITHOUT ANY INDICATION TWO WHEEL DRIVE WOULD ENGAGE, RESULTING INTO POOR TRACKING.*AK
PROBLEMS WITH FUEL TANK ON 2002 K2500 SUBURBAN.*MR THE FUEL TANK SEAL SEPARATED FROM THE TANK WHICH CAUSED THE TANK TO LEAK. *NLM
WHEN TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT A NOISE WAS HEARD. DEALER CLEANED AND LUBRICATED THE STEERING SHAFT.*AK 2002 CHEVROLET SILVERADO EXPERIENCED A NOISE WHEN TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND NO PROBLEM WAS FOUND BUT THE STEERING SHAFT WAS CLEANED AND LUBRICATED.*MR
WHILE DRIVING DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT TIRE BLEW OUT, CAUSING THE WHEEL TO LOCK. THE 4-WHEEL DRIVE WILL NO LONGER PROPERLY OPERATE.*AK

THE TRUCK HAS A FUEL LEAK THAT CAUSED THE OIL PRESSURE TO GO DOWN. THERE'S A RECALL FOR THE CNG FUEL LEAKAGE 03V435000 BUT THE VIN NUMBER IS OUTSIDE THE REMEDY SCOPE. *NM

THERE WAS A KNOCKING NOISE IN THE STEERING SHAFT. DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE BEARINGS, BUT THE NOISE RECURRED. THEN, DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE SHAFT. *AK *MR
BRAKE PEDAL WENT ALMOST TO THE FLOOR BEFORE VEHICLE STOPPED. TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, AND THE DEALER STATED IT WAS NORMAL. *AK
AIR CONDITIONER (A/C) LINE RUNS OVER THE TOP OF THE DISTRIBUTOR, CAUSING CONDENSATION IN THE DISTRIBUTOR. WHEN THIS OCCURS, IT RESULTS IN ENGINE MISFIRING AND VEHICLE STALLING. AT 22,000 MILES TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. *AK *MR
VEHICLE REPEATEDLY STALLED WHILE DRIVING,AND WOULD NOT RESTART FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. *AK *MR

WHILE DRIVING A LOUD NOISE WAS HEARD. CONSUMER PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER, AND NOTICED THAT TAILGATE BROKE, AND DROPPED ONTO BUMPER. *AK
WHILE DRIVING THE CONSUMER NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING FUEL. THE FUEL CAUSED POOR VISIBILITY TO MOTORIST DRIVING BEHIND HIS VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP DETERMINED THAT THE FUEL INJECTION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE IS NOW ON IT'S FOURTH REPAIR. *NM THE FUEL LEAK COULD CAUSE TO PUSHED PAST THE PISTON RINGS INTO THE CRANKCASE, AND A HAIRLINE CRACK IN THE FUEL RAIL ALSO CAUSED FUEL INTO THE CRANKCASE. ALSO, THE LEAK OF FUEL AND OIL HAS CAUSED CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO TURN ON. GENERAL MOTORS WON'T REPLACE FUEL INJECTOR OR FUEL RAIL UNTIL IT HAS FAILED. *LA
