I GOT A RECALL ON MY AIRBAG IN 2016, WAITED FOR A NOTICE TO GET IT FIXED, WENT BACK TO DEALERSHIP IN LATE 2016 AND WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT GET THE PARTS. WENT BACK JULY OF 2017 AND WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT GET PARTS FOR THE RECALL. NOW THE COMPANY HAS DECLARED BANKRUPTCY, BUT I AM STILL STUCK WITH DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS. TRUCK IS OPERATING FINE EXCEPT FOR AIRBAGS THAT COULD KILL ME.

DASH CRACKING IN 2 PLACES. COULD AFFECT AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT
I WAS TOLD BY SOUTH POINTE CHEVROLET THAT MY RECALL IS NOT AFFECTED ON MY TRUCK, AS I READ THIS RECALL IT DOES PERTAIN TO MY TRUCK. CAN YOU TELL ME IF THE RECALL#49152 HAS THIS PASSENGER RECALL FOR THE AIRBAG ON IT. THE SAFETY RECALL IS 16V-381 RECALL# 49152 MAY 31, 2016 BODY, INTERIOR & MISC. ALSO TO MENTION THAT THEY SENT ME A RECALL AND CALLED ME BACK STATING IT DOES NOT AFFECT MY VEHICAL. I SEE IT DOES AND IT CONCERNS ME NOT TO KNOW THE TRUTH. DASH IS CRACKED IN THREE PLACES. IN CASE OF AN AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT THE DASH COULD BREAK INTO MANY PIECE ACTING LIKE SHRAPNEL. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL AS GM KNOWS OF THIS ISSUE. THIS ISSUE HAS HAPPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION.

THE DASH IS CRACKED NEXT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. IF THE AIR BAD DEPLOYS THE SHARP EDGES COULD DAMAGE THE AIRBAG.
THE DASH BOARD GM PART # 19331340. HAS MULTIPLE CRACKS THROUGHOUT ITS BODY. I HAVE CONTACTED GM . THEY SAY THAT THERE IS NOTHING THAT THEY WILL DO. I RECENTLY RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE AIRBAGS AS WELL.

CRACKED DASH NEAR MY AIR BAG PROVIDE A BIG HAZARD. I HAVE OTHER CRACKS AROUND MY DASHBOARD ALSO, BUT THE THING THAT SCARES ME THE MOST IS THE CRACKS BY MY AIRBAG. I COULD LEAD TO PICES OF SHARP PLASTIC FLYING TO MY PASSENGER IF THE AIR BAG EVER GOES OFF. PLEASE WE NEED A RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED THE NEXT DAY AND WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP MODULE WAS CORRODED AND FULL OF WATER. THE FUEL PUMP MODULE WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.

"TAKATA RECALL" RECEIVED A LETTER OF A RECALL FOR MY AIR BAG REPLACEMENT OVER A YEAR AND A HALF AGO AND WHEN I CALL THE DEALERSHIP THEY TELL ME THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS HOW LONG DOES THIS PROCESS TAKE
BRAKES FAILED AT STOP SIGN. GOT TRUCK BACK HOME AND IT HAS FAULTY BRAKE LINES
WAS DRIVING WHEN A VEHICLE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME. I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE SLOWED HOWEVER DID NOT STOP. AFTER THIS THE BRAKE PEDAL DID NOT FEEL RIGHT. UPON INSPECTING THE BRAKES MYSELF I DETERMINED THAT A BRAKE LINE FAILED. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHERE HE PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT THIS IS AN ON GOING ISSUE WITH THESE TRUCKS AND THAT ALL OF THE BRAKE LINES SHOULD BE REPLACED. THE LINES ARE STEEL AND RUST. THE BILL WOULD BE APPROX. $1,000.00 TO REPAIR!!! IT'S A NICE TRUCK HOWEVER I MAY NOT PURCHASE ANOTHER GM VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE AND GM NOT STANDING BEHIND IT AND RECALLING THESE TO HAVE THE LINES REPLACED WITH STAINLESS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS ABOVE 30 MPH, THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE WOULD EXPERIENCE SEVERE SHAKING AND VIBRATING. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET FOR THE SUSPENSION AND STEERING HAD SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE AND A SUB FRAME HAD FRACTURED NEAR THE BRACKET. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
BRAKE LINES ARE STARTING TO RUST AND BLOW. THIS SHOULD NOT BE DOING THIS AT 80,00 MILES. TRUCK IS VERY RARELY DRIVEN IN THE SNOW. AND SALT. I TOW ALOT AND AM AFRAID THEY WILL BLOW WHEN TOWING MY CAMPER WITH MY KIDS IN THE TRUCK
VEHICLE, WHICH I HAD JUST BOUGHT USED FROM A DEALERSHIP, DIED WHILE IN MOTION REPEATEDLY ON BOTH A HIGHWAY AND ON A STREET AFTER BEING DRIVEN FOR A PERIOD OF TIME. DID NOT OCCUR DURING TEST DRIVES OR DURING INSPECTION. INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS, GAUGES AND DOOR LOCKS OPERATED ERRATICALLY BEFORE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STOPPED. WOULD NOT PROMPTLY RESTART. TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS BEFORE IT STARTED. CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP HAD VEHICLE FOR OVER A DAY AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. MY SEARCH ON GOOGLE AND YOUTUBE INDICATES THAT THERE IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH CORROSION OF THE BATTERY CABLES, - JUST "GOOGLE" 2007 SILVERADO ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT I MEAN. WHY THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP COULD NOT OR WOULD NOT DIAGNOSE THIS I DON'T KNOW. I REPLACED ALL THE NECESSARY BATTERY CABLES AND THE PROBLEM HAS NOT REOCCURRED. IN MY OPINION, THIS IS A KNOWN AND COMMON FAULT THAT CHEVY SHOULD BE WELL AWARE OF AND THE FIX READILY AVAILABLE.

WHEN GOING AT SLOW SPEED 10MPH OR LESS. THE FRONT ANTI LOCK BREAKS KICK IN AND YOU FEEL AS IF IT WILL NOT STOP. THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. THERE IS A SAFETY BULLETIN OUT ABOUT THIS. WHEN I ASKED CHEVY WHAT THEY WOULD DO ABOUT IT I WAS TOLD NOTHING. I PAYED TO HAVE IT FIXED. THIS WAS AN ON GOING ISSUE NOT A ONE TIME DEAL.

THE FORWARD DASH HAS CONTYTO CRACK AND BREAK APARTVAT SEVERAL AREAS INCLUDING THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LOCATION. THIS IS A KNOW PROBLEM WITH GM AND THEY ONLY OFFER "GOODWILL" ASSISTANCE FOR CUSTOMERS JUST OUTSIDE THE BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. REPAIRS COST OVER 1000.00 FOR THIS ISSUE THAT CAN SOMETIMES HAVE TO BE DONE MULTIPLE TIMES. LOOKING TO FINALLY GETTING THIS ADDRESSED AND NOT SWEPT UNDER THE RUG.
