"TAKATA RECALL"TAKATA HAD PUT MY 2011 CHEVROLET SILVERADO UNDER A RECALL IN MAY OF 2016 BUT GM IS TAKING A VERY LONG TIME TO COMPLETE THE RECALL AND PROVIDE THE REMEDY.THE STATUS SAID THAT GM WAS SUPPOSED TO RESOLVE THE SOLUTION BASED ON THE RESULTS OF THEIR PETITION BY AUGUST OF 2017.IT IS NOW JANUARY OF 2018 AND STILL THE RECALL STATUS STATES "INCOMPLETE/REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE"I FEEL THAT IT IS VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE AND GM IS TAKING THEIR TIME ON A VERY IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE EXHAUST HEATER FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V407000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
CRACKING ON THE DASHBOARD OF A VERY WELL KEPT LOW MILEAGE TRUCK. WORRIED ABOUT SAFETY AROUND PASSENGER AIR BAG AS WELL AS THE QUALITY OF THE VEHICLE IN GENERAL. A SUNSHADE HAS BEEN USED SINCE DAY ONE AND THE TRUCK HAS NEVER BEEN OFF-ROAD OR IN A POSITION TO WHERE THIS SHOULD HAPPEN. GM SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE AND FIX THIS PROBLEM. NOW A $49,000 TRUCK SEEMS VERY CHEAP AND AM WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF PASSENGERS.

CRACKING DASH. HAS BEEN REPLACED TWO TIMES NOW. CRACKS HAVE OCCURRED IN THE SAME PLACES BOTH TIMES AND SIMILAR TO THE THOUSANDS OF PHOTOS ONLINE WHEN SEARCHING FOR GM CRACKED DASH OR A SIMILAR VARIANT. CRACKS EXPOSE MECHANICAL PARTS UNDER THE DASH AND ARE BRITTLE BUT VERY SHARP WHEN SEPARATED FROM THE DASH. DATE ENTERED WAS TODAY BUT INSTANCES STARTED IN 2011 AND THEN APPROX 1 YEAR AFTER THE FIRST REPLACEMENT. LAST REPLACEMENT TOOK PLACE IN MARCH OF 2016.

THE CHECK ENGINE AND STABILITRAK WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LEN STOLER CHEVROLET (LOCATED AT 343 BALTIMORE BLVD, WESTMINSTER, MD 21157, (443) 650-0926) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE OIL WAS TRAVELING BEHIND THE PISTON AND THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 124,639.
I OWN A 2011 CHECK SILVERADO I CLEAN MY TRUCK REGULARLY AN TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT I HAVE LESS THEN 50,000 MILES ON IT. I FOUND A CRACK IN MY DASH RUNNING FROM THE CORNER OF MY PASSAGE AIRBAG. I FEEL THAT IT'S A BIG SAFETY HAZARD CONSIDERING IF SOMEONE CRASHES INTO ME AND THE AIRBAG DEPLOYS JAGGED CHUNKS OF DASH COULD POSSIBLY IMPALE MYSELF OR MY PREGNANT WIFE. I DID SOME RESEARCH AN SEEN THAT THOUSANDS OF CHEVY MODELS ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE BECAUSE OF MANUFACTORER NEGLIGENCE AN I FEEL THAT THIS IS ENOUGH OF A SAFETY HAZARD TO WHERE SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS.

TAKATA RECALL. I OWN A VEHICLE THAT HAS THE TAKATA AIRBAGS INSTALLED AND I HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED THAT GMC WILL FIX MY VEHICLE. GMC HAS NOT TAKEN ACTION ON THIS RECALL, THEY FILED A PETITION OF INCONSEQUENTIALITY. MANY MANUFACTURERS HAVE ISSUED RECALLS FOR THE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATORS AND FIXED THE AFFECTED CARS. GMC NEEDS TO FIX THESE AIRBAGS TO PREVENT FURTHER INJURY.

DRIVERS SIDE INSIDE HANDLE BROKE. WAS ATTEMPTING TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, WHEN THE LEVER BROKE OFF IN MY HAND. HAD TO ROLL WINDOW DOWN TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. I WOULD BE UNABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE QUICKLY IN AN EMERGENCY.
MY TRACTION STABILITY LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY CHARGED ME $100.00 TO DIAGNOSE IT AND TAPE A SENSOR. A WEEK LATER IT CAME ON AGAIN, I LOOKED THIS ISSUE UP ON THE INTERNET AND EVERYBODY IS HAVING THESE PROBLEMS. WHY IS THIS NOT A SAFETY RECALL? I HAVE LESS THAN 46,000 MILES ON MY VEHICLE, I SHOULD NOT BE HAVING THIS ISSUE. GM BETTER DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.
MY TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT AND ABS LIGHT CAME ON AND THE MESSAGES TO SERVICE BOTH OF THESE SYSTEMS ARE IN MY INFORMATION CENTER. MY BRAKES ARE NOW DRAGGING THE ROTORS DUE TO THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN AND A RECALL NEEDS TO BE IMPLEMENTED TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE. THIS STARTED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY.
