DASHBOARD CRACK NEXT TO AIRBAG AND OVER INSTRUMENT PANEL. I AM CONCERNED THAT IN A WRECK WHERE THE AIRBAG DEPLOYS THE DASH WILL BECOME A DEADLY PROJECTILE. I WAS SITTING STILL WHEN THE CRACKS OCURRED.
THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED AT THE TOP LEFT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THIS WAS NOTICED THE OTHER DAY WHILE DRIVING. VEHICLE IS VERY WELL CARED FOR.
THE DASHBOARD IS BROKEN AT THE UPPER LEFT CORNER OF THE AIR BAG HOUSING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE.
CRACKED PASSENGER SIDE DASHBOARD. PICTURE SHOWS THE CRACK JUST BEGINNING FROM THE AIRBAG AREA TO GOING TOWARDS THE VENT. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE IN GM VEHICLES, MY TRUCK IS A 2011 MODEL.
THE FUSE RELAY BLOCK ON MY 2011 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 WITH ONLY 56,000 MILES NEARLY CAUGHT FIRE WHEN THE REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER AND HEATED MIRRORS WOULD NOT TURN OFF EVEN WITH THE KEY REMOVED. THE PROBLEM WAS TRACED TO A BAD GROUND ON CIRCUIT G200, THIS IS PART OF THE SWITCH CIRCUIT THAT CONTROLS THE MIRRORS AND DEFROSTER. GM HAS DESIGNED A CIRCUIT THAT HAS THE ABILITY TO TURN ITSELF ON EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS OFF AND THE KEY REMOVED! BUT EVEN WORSE GM REFUSES TO PAY FOR THE PARTS OR LABOR TO REPAIR MY TRUCK. I HAVE MADE SEVERAL CALLS TO GM CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WHILE INITIALLY ENCOURAGING GM HAS REFUSED TO STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. HOWARD THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE AT GM COULDN'T DISCLOSE TO ME THE AMOUNT OF FINANCIAL HELP THEY OFFERED THE DEALERSHIP, IT TURNS OUT THEY DIDN'T OFFER ANY HELP AT ALL. I'M NOT SURE I WILL BUY ANOTHER GM PRODUCT AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE.
TAKATA RECALL ; RECEIVED NOTICE IN EARLY JULY 2016 AFTER SERVICE NOTICE CAME UP ON THE DASH IN MARCH,NOTHING SINCE . TODAY'S DATE 10-25-2017 . I PLAN TO SUE IF ANYONE IS INJURED DUE TO THE LACK OF A TIMELY REPAIR . EXCUSES ARE ALL THAT HAVE BEEN RECEIVED FROM DEALERSHIP . LOST A CUSTOMER
THE DASHBOARD HAS DEVELOPED A CRACK AT THE CORNER OF THE AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. NORMALLY I WOULDN'T THINK THIS IS A RECALL ISSUE BUT I PERSONALLY KNOW OF AT LEAST THREE OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME EXACT CRACK AT THE SAME EXACT LOCATION ON THEIR DASHBOARD. I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH ON THE ISSUE AND IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THIS IS A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM WITH THE 2007-2011 SILVERADO AND TAHOE VEHICLES FROM CHEVROLET.

ALL 4 SEAT BELTS WILL NOT FULLY RETRACT
THE DASHBOARD CRACKED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF VEHICLE NEAR THE TOP LEFT CORNER OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. DEALERSHIP WOULD FIX THE ISSUE BUT ONLY AT FULL COST TO ME, EVEN THOUGH I EXPRESSED THE CONCERN I HAVE HOW IF THE AIRBAG WERE TO DEPLOY THE SHARP EDGES OF THE CRACKED AREA MAY NOT ALLOW THE AIR BAG TO WORK PROPERLY. I.E. COULD PUNCTURE THE AIRBAG. ALSO SHARDS OF THE DASHBOARD COULD CAUSE HARM IF AIRBAG WERE TO DEPLOY

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STITCHING ON THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE SEAT WAS ROTTED AND CAUSED THE AIR BAG IN THE SEAT TO BULGE OUT WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SEAT COVER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN DUE TO THE AIR BAG POSSIBLY DEPLOYING INDEPENDENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. DASH CRACKING ABOVE PASSENGER AIRBAG. NOTHING HIT OR WAS DROPPED ON DASH, CAME OUT ONE DAY AND THERE THE CRACK WAS.
DASHBOARD CRACKS AT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. THIS WAS REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY IN 2014. THE DASH HAS CRACKED AGAIN IN THE SAME PLACE. SHOULD THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOY, I FEEL IT COULD BE A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE.
I AM ONE OF THE MANY THAT HAS A CRACKING DASHBOARD THAT GM HAS REFUSED TO FIX. MINE IS ABOVE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I GOT IN ONE DAY EVERYTHING WAS FINE, THE NEXT DAY GOT IN TO GO AND THERE WAS THE CRACK. VEHICLE WAS NOT MOVING WHEN I NOTICED IT. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A SUN SHADE IN THE WINDOW WHEN THE TRUCK IS PARKED.
DASHBOARD AROUND PASSENGER AIRBAG IS SPLITTING AS MANY OTHER ARE. IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT THAT WOULD CAUSE STRESS ON THE DASH FROM ABRUPT AIRBAG INFLATION, PLASTIC COULD BECOME SHRAPNEL AND CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
2011 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 RECALL.
TO YOUR COMPANY OFFERING TO PUT A USED ENGINE IN A USED VEHICLE. THEN PURCHASING A 2011 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500, AND HAVING NUMEROUS ELECTRICAL ISSUES. YOU HAD ASKED ME TO GIVE YOUR DEALERSHIP A SECOND CHANCE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM WITH MY 2011 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. WITH THE AMOUNT OF UNPROFESSIONAL DEMEANOR THAT I EXPERIENCED PRIOR I DECIDED TO GIVE YOUR COMPANY A SECOND CHANCE TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM.

THE CONTACT REGAINED CONTROL OF THE VEHICE AND MANEUVERED TO THE MEDIAN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. IN 2011, THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED UNDER THE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V007000 (SUSPENSION); HOWEVER, THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT REQUIRE THE REPAIR. THE DEALER DENIED THE RECALL REPAIR FOR THE MOST RECENT FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

DASH CRACKED FROM PASSENGER AIR BAG COVER TO WINDSHIELD VENT. ONE DAY THERE WAS NO CRACK THEN I NOTICED THE CRACK. NOTHING WAS DROPPED ONTO OR BANGED AGAINST AIR BAG COVER.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE FRONT END AND FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STRUCK BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER. A CHILD PASSENGER SUSTAINED WHIPLASH, BRUISES TO THE ANKLES, KNEES, AND WRISTS. A SECOND CHILD PASSENGER SUSTAINED WHIPLASH AND MINOR BRUISING FROM THE SEAT BELT RETRACTING. MEDICAL TREATMENT WAS RECEIVED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. I HAVE 2 CRACKS THAT ARE RIGHT ABOVE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG AREA ON THE DASH.
THE TRUCK HAD LESS THAN 50,000 MILES WHEN WE NOTICED A CRACK IN THE DASH RUNNING FROM THE UPPER LEFT CORNER OF THE AIR BAG COVER AND THE DEFROSTER VENT. I KNOW SEVERAL OTHER TRUCKS WITH THIS SAME ISSUE. IT APPEARS TO BE A DESIGN FLAW. I WENT TO THE LOCAL DEALER AND HE ESTIMATED IT WOULD TAKE NEARLY $1,000 TO FIX. I WONDER IF THIS CRACK WOULD BE NEGATIVELY INFLUENCED IF THE AIR BAG EVER INFLATES CAUSING MORE DAMAGE OR INJURY.
MYSELF AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS DASH'S ARE CRACKING RANDOMLY IN OUR CHEVROLET SILVERADO PICKUPS. MINE IS CRACKED JUST TO THE UPPER LEFT OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. I HAVE REACHED OUT TO GM AND THEY HAVE ACKNOWLEDGED AN ISSUE HAVE OFFERED TO PAY $590 TOWARDS THE REPAIR. I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THAT AND THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER THOUSAND PEOPLE THAT HAVE THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE SAME RESULTS OR WORSE. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SEE GM BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS AS I BELIEVE THIS IS AN SAFETY CONCERN WITH THE PASSENGER AIRBAG DEPLOYING IN AN EMERGENCY. THERE IS A FACEBOOK PAGE WITH SEVERAL THOUSAND MEMBERS DEDICATED TO THIS MATTER IT IS NAMED "07-13 GM CRACKED DASH SAFETY HAZARD FOR ALL TRUCKS"
WE HAVE HAD A RECURRING ISSUE WITH THE TRACTION CONTROL FEATURE ON THIS VEHICLE SINCE BUYING IT. RANDOMLY AND OUT OF NOWHERE IT WILL SHOW STABILITRAK OFF ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE ENGINE BECOMES SLUGGISH WHEN THIS HAPPENS. THIS, TO ME, IS A SAFETY HAZARD WHEN DRIVING. THERE IS ALSO AN ISSUE WITH THE IGNITION GETTING STUCK WHEN STARTING WHERE IT GRINDS THE STARTER. I HAVE TO TURN THE TRUCK OFF AND START IT AGAIN TO GET IT TO STOP. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE AT THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED AND THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE STABILITRAK ISSUE. I HAVE READ MANY COMPLAINTS ON THIS AND THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL.

STARTED HEARING NOISE FROM DASH ON HIGHWAY UPON FURTHER INSPECTION NOTICE CRACKS ON DASHBOARD ON PASSENGER SIDE AROUND AIR BAG
THE DASH HAS CRACKED ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND NEXT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG.
I HAVE A 2011 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 THAT HAS APPROXIMATELY 44,000 MILES ON IT AND IS GARAGE KEPT. I HAVE SEVERAL CRACKS AROUND MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WHICH COULD POSE A SAFETY ISSUE EVEN THOUGH GM SAID THE CRACKS WILL NOT.
ONE MORNING, MY DAUGHTER AND I WAS GETTING IN THE TRUCK SO I COULD DROP HER OFF AT SCHOOL. WE GOT ABOUT A MILE DOWN THE ROAD AND STARTED HEARING A RATTLE. ONCE WE MADE IT TO A STOP SIGN, I LOOKED AROUND IN THE TRUCK AND FOUND THE PROBLEM. THERE ARE 2 CRACKS GOING DOWN THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE GAUGE CLUSTER ON THE DASH. AS WELL AS ANOTHER CRACK ON THE LEFT BACK CORNER OF THE AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DASH. I'M VERY PARTICULAR ABOUT MY TRUCK. I KEEP IT VERY CLEAN. I'VE NEVER PLACED ANYTHING ON THE DASH/WINDOW AREA TO CAUSE THE CRACKS. THAT MORNING IT WAS COLD OUT, PROBABLY AROUND 30 DEGREES. IT WAS VERY DISCOURAGING THAT WHEN I CALLED TO ASK ABOUT THE REPLACEMENT, (DURING THAT TIME, I STILL HAD MY WARRANTY FROM WHERE I HAD BOUGHT THE VEHICLE) I WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED, AND WOULD NEED TO BE PAID OUT OF POCKET. I WAS RAISED AS A CHEVY MAN, I BELIEVE THEY MAKE AMAZING VEHICLES. FOR THIS NOT TO ALREADY HAVE BEEN AN ISSUE TO HAD FIXED DUE TO THE LARGE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE IS OUTRAGEOUS. IT IS OBVIOUSLY A SAFETY ISSUE. SINCE THE ENTIRE CENTER DASH IS WEAK FROM BEING CRACKED ON EACH SIDE, I FEEL IT COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE THE AIRBAG TO FAIL IN THE FRONT OR EVEN WORSE IS INJURE WHO IS SITTING IN THE MIDDLE SEAT IN THE BACK. (DAUGHTER SITS IN THAT SPOT DUE TO AGE.) PLEASE, DO SOMETHING TO FIX THIS ISSUE. IT'S CLEAR THAT IT'S A PROBLEM AND IT COULD POTENTIALLY SAVE A LIFE BY BEING PROACTIVE ABOUT THE SITUATION. CHEVY HAS ALWAYS BEEN DEPENDABLE, DON'T LET YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS DOWN.
I WAS DRIVING ON NJTP MY DAUGHTER WAS FOLLOWING BEHIND ME AND CALLS ME (HANDSFREE) SAYING MY BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON . SO I TAP MY BRAKES A FEW TIMES THEN PULL UP ON OEDAL AND LIGHTS GO OFF THEN MY CC STARTED WORKIMG AGAIN .AT SAME TIME MY STABILTRAC IDIOT LIGHT COMES ON TO GET IT SERVICED SO MAKE APPT AND THEY FIND NO PROBLEM WITH STABILTRAC AND TELL ME IM DRINEING WITH FOOT ON THE BRAKE.HOWEVER I DID SOME CHECKING AND IF I STEP ON MY BRAKES LET OFF AT TIMES MY BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON. IVE AL SO NOTICED WHEN I AUTO START BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON .ENGLEWOOD CHEVY SAYS ITS MY BAD DRIVING HABITS 2 FOOT DRIVER I SAY FAULTY VEHICLE IS THERE A STATE AGENCY TO VERIFY ITS THE VEHICLE. IVE TRIED EMAILING SERVICE DEPT BUT NO REPLY. JUST LAST WEEK IN NEW YORK POST WAS A STORY OF A LADY WHO FOR WHAT EVER REASON LOST HER LEGS DUE TO SOME KIND OF PROBLEM WITH THE STABILTRAC .I DO NOT WANT TO BE A STAT ON THIS .
THE DEFROST ON MY TRUCK DOES NOT FUNTION PROPERLY. IT MAY TAKE UP TO 15 TO 20 MINUTES FOR MY FRONT WINDSHIELD AND DRIVER AND PASSENGER WINDOW TO CLEAR. THE WINDOWS ARE CLEAR WHEN I PULL OUT OF THE GARAGE. AS I AM TRAVELING TO MY DESTINATION THE WINDSHIELD AND DRIVER AND PSSENGER WINDOWS FOG UP. I USUALLY PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD UNTIL IT CLEARS. I LET MY TRUCK WARM UP BEFORE LEAVING THE DRIVEWAY SO THE AIR COMING OUT IS WARM. MOST OF THE TIME I MAY HAVE AN 8 INCH CIRCLE TO SEE OUT OF. IF I WIPE IT OFF IT COMES BACK AGAIN. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN 2014. I DIDN'T LIKE BUT I WAS LIVING WITH IT. BUT THIS IS CERTAINLY A HAZARD TO ME AND OTHER DRIVERS.

MY 2011 SILVERADO DASH IS CRACKING IN SEVERAL PLACE AND IM ONLY THE SECOND OWNER OF THE TRUCK. I FEEL SHARP PIECE OF PLASTIC COULD BECOME HAZARDERS DURING A CRASH.
THE DASH HAS A CRACK IN IT. 2011 CHEVY SILVERADO 42,000 MILES. THE DASH SHOULD NOT HAVE A CRACK IN IT. THIS IS A PROBLEM GENERAL MOTORS KNOWS ABOUT AND WILL NOT RECALL THIS PROBLEM!! IF THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WAS DEPLOYED PARTS FROM THE DASH WILL FLY APART CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY!!
THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED IN 2 SEPARATE PLACES DUE TO CHEAP SUPPLIES. ONE OF THE CRACKS IS NEAR THE AIRBAG SO IF THE AIRBAG WERE TO DEPLOY PARTS OF THE BROKEN DASHBOARD WOULD BE THROWN INTO THE PASSENGER AND CAUSE INJURY.
TAKATA RECALL THE DASH IN MY 2011 CHEVROLET PICKUP SUDDENLY CRACKED. IT IS CRACKED IN THE CORNER OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG I ASK MY CHEVROLET DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WASN'T COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. I HAVE HEARD OF SEVERAL GM OWNERS THAT HAVE THW SAME PROBLEM . THE VENICLE WAS NOT IN MOTION. THIS VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN EXPOSED TO EXTENDED PEROIDS OF SUNSHINE OR HOT WEATHER. THE VHICLE IS NORMALLY KEPT IN MY GARAGE WHEN NOT IN USE. PHOTOS COULD BE PRIVIDED BUT I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO IT.

I HAVE A 2011 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500 Z71 AND THE DASH BOARD IS CRACKING AROUND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. I HAVE TAKEN THIS TO MY GM DEALER AND THE SERVICE MANAGER TOOK PHOTOS AND TOLD ME THAT HE WOULD GET BACK TO ME BUT HAS NOT. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART. THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE. THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. CONSUMER HAS ANOTHER VEHICLE COMPLAINT LISTED IN ARTEMIS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE REAR BRAKE SHOES WOULD STICK TO THE DRUMS AFTER GETTING WET WHEN THE PARKING BRAKE WAS APPLIED. THE BRAKE SHOES WOULD RELEASE WITH A THUD WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PUT INTO TO DRIVE OR REVERSE. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE OR ROLL, UNTIL THE ACCELERATOR WAS DEPRESSED TO MOVE THE VEHICLE. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN IN WET CONDITIONS, THE BRAKING FELT DIFFERENT WHEN COMPARED TO DRY CONDITION. *JB
THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR HANDLE COMPLETELY BROKE AND NOW MY DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. THIS IS A REAL PROBLEM WITH SEVERAL CHEVROLET MODELS MY WIFE ALSO HAS A 08 TAHOE AND ALL FOUR HANDLES HAVE BEEN REPLACED AND THE DRIVER SIDE HAS PULLED LOOSE AGAIN. FOR THE PRICE WE HAVE TO PAY FOR OUR VEHICLES WE SHOULD BE GETTING A BETTER PRODUCT.
I HAVE A 2011 SILVERADO 1500 AND ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO MY DASH AROUND THE PASSENGER AIR BAG STARTED TO CRACK.
