THE DASH IS CRACKING BY THE AIRBAG. THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED WITH MY 2006 TAHOE. THERE IS A FACEBOOK PAGE WITH OVER 3000 PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE - IN ADDITION TO A NEWS SEGMENT THAT WAS RECENTLY COVERED. IT IS A MAJOR ISSUE THAT GM IS NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY. THE FACEBOOK PAGE IS "07-13 GM CRACKED DASH SAFETY HAZARD FOR ALL TRUCKS"
GOT IN MY SUV THIS MORNING TO LEAVE FOR WORK AND NOTICED A HUGE CRACK MIDDLE WAY OF THE DASH COMING UP TO THE TOP HUMP WHERE CONTROLS ARE LOCATED. AS I HAVE RESEARCHED I SEE THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS ISSUE. WHEN PAYING OVER $30,000.00 FOR A VEHICLE, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE REPORTING CRACKS ON YOUR DASH. I FEEL THIS MAY CAUSE AN ISSUE WITH AIRBAGS GOING OFF AS THEY SHOULD IF EVER IN AN ACCIDENT. THIS SHOULD MOST DEFINITELY BE REPAIRED BY GM ASAP. IF THERE ARE THIS MANY ISSUES WITH ALL GM MAKES THEN THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.
MY 2011 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN WITH ABOUT 85,000 MILES ON IT HAS RECENTLY DEVELOPED CRACKS IN THE DASH. ONE AT THE REAR LEFT CORNER OF THE PASSENGER-SIDE AIRBAG SECTION, AND ANOTHER BEHIND THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THE CAR IS IN IMMACULATE CONDITION OTHER THAN THE DASH. ITS AN EYE-SORE TO SEE THESE CRACKS EVERY DAY. HAD THESE CRACKS BEEN THERE A YEAR AGO WHEN WE BOUGHT THE CAR, WE PROBABLY WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT. ITS SAD TO SEE THAT THIS IS A SYSTEMIC PROBLEM ON ALL VEHICLES OF THIS MAKE/MODEL/YEAR RANGE.
MY DASHBOARD IS CRACKED OVER THE STEERING WHEEL BUT MOST PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING OF THE DASH BEING CRACKED AROUND THE AIRBAG. GM REFUSES TO REPAIR.
EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION WHICH GM REFUSES TO FIX UNDER WARRANTY.
CRACKED DASH AT AIRBAG AND ABOVE STEERING. DEALER WILL REPAIR VIA AN EXTENDED WARRANTY I PURCHASED WHEN THE AUTO WAS NEW.
VERY CONCERNED THAT THE CRACKS ON THE DASHBOARD STARTED AROUND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG AND NOW HAVE SPREAD ALL THE WAY ACROSS TO THE DIAL AREA. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ IT SEEMS THIS IS A HAPPENING TO A LOT OF THE GM/CHEVY VEHICLES AND IS A PROBLEM GM SHOULD REALLY ISSUE A RECALL TO FIX. ARE THEY WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO DIE WHEN A AIRBAG DEPLOYS AND THE SHARP PLASTIC THE CRACKS ARE MAKING IMMEDIATELY DEFLATES THE AIRBAG AND IT IS USELESS? STEP-UP GM AND ISSUE THE RECALL AND FIX THE PROBLEM BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE AND SOMEONE DIES.
WINDSHIELD WIPER HOSES (FRONT & REAR) SELF DISCONNECTED AND I PLACED THEM BACK ON SEVERAL TIMES. THE LAST TIME I PUT THEM BACK IN PLACE, THE HOSE BROKE OFF WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO PLACE BACK ON THE LAST TIME AS THE PLASTIC CONNECTOR HAD BECOME BRITTLE. NO I CANNOT CLEAN MY BACK WINDOW AND SOMETIMES UNABLE TO CLEAN THE FRONT WINDSHIELD MAKING IT HARD TO SEE WHILE DRIVING.
MY 2011 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN 1500 LT (IN EXCELLENT SHAPE) HAS MULTIPLE DRIVERS SIDE DASHBOARD CRACKS AND THESE CRACKS MAY AFFECT AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT BY CUTTING THE AIRBAG IF DEPLOYED POSSIBLY CAUSING AIRBAG FAILURE WHEN NEEDED. ON 6/23/15, ATTEMPTED TO HAVE MANUFACTURER (GM) REPLACE THE DASHBOARD (THRU LOCAL DEALER - BANNER CHEVROLET, NEW ORLEANS). DEALER TOLD ME THAT GM WOULD SHARE THE COST OF REPLACEMENT? MY SHARE WOULD BE APPROXIMATELY $500? WHY WOULD GM SHARE THE COST OF REPLACEMENT, UNLESS THEY ARE AWARE OF A HEREDITARY ENGINEERING DESIGN FLAW CAUSING THE DASHBOARDS TO CRACK ULTIMATELY INTERFERRING WITH THE PROPER DEPLOYMENT AND USE OF THE AIRBAG?
THE DASH IS CRACKED AROUND THE CORNER OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. IN THE EVENT OF AN AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT, THE CRACKED DASH COULD BECOME A PROJECTILE AND CAUSE HARM TO OCCUPANTS.
NOTICED THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED AROUND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. HAVE CONCERNS THAT MAY CAUSE A SAFETY RISK IF IMPROPERLY DEPLOYED.

ENGINE IDLING LOW, HESITANT AT LOW SPEEDS. CHANGED GAS, NO CHANGE IN HOW THE TRUCK WAS RUNNING. ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, TOOK TO DEALERSHIP. REPLACED SPARK PLUG THAT WAS MISFIRING DUE TO OIL CONTAMINATION. CLEANED FUEL INJECTORS AND THROTTLE BODY, REPLACED VALVE COVER TO PREVENT THIS FROM OCCURRING A THIRD TIME (HAS HAPPENED TWICE ALREADY AND IN THE LAST NINE MONTHS). TOTAL REPAIR $1173. NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NONE OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATORS WERE WORKING AND THE ABS WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,289.
TOP OF DASH BOARD CRACKED AND BROKE, I AM AFRAID THAT THIS MY EFFECT THE PROPER OPERATION OF THE AIR BAGS.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
I BOUGHT A GM CERTIFIED SUBURBAN AND LESS THAN TWO WEEKS LATER THE DASHBOARD CRACKED BEHIND THE AIRBAG. I CALLED THE DEALER AND GM AND ALERTED THEM TO THE PROBLEM AND TOLD THEM I FELT UNSAFE DRIVING THE VEHICLE WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE. I FEEL THAT IF THAT AIRBAG DEPLOYS IT COULD SEND THAT SHARP PIECE OF BROKEN PLASTIC FLYING THROUGH MY CAR. THEY WILL NOT FIX THE DASHBOARD WITHOUT ME PAYING FOR IT AND SAID IT IS NOT A COMMON COMPLAINT PEOPLE ARE HAVING. HOWEVER, EVERYONE I HAVE TALKED TO WITH A SUBURBAN, TAHOE, OR PICK UP TRUCK BETWEEN THE YEARS OF 2007-2013 IS EXPERIENCING THE SAME CRACK IN THE SAME PLACE NEAR THAT AIRBAG. GM NEEDS TO FIX THESE BEFORE INNOCENT PEOPLE GET HURT.

AFTER INSPECTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THERE WERE TWO CRACKS OF SIGNIFICANT SIZE ON THE BOTTOM PART OF THE DASHBOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,300.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD EXHIBITED CRACKS THAT ORIGINATED ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND BECAME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. IN ADDITION, THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG SEAM WAS CRACKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERS WHO STATED THAT THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
DASHBOARD CRACKED WHILE PARKED AND THESE CRACKS HAVE SPREAD TO BECOME VERY LARGE OVER SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. LARGE CRACK IS ABOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND ANOTHER IS NEAR PASSENGER AIRBAG. THE DASHBOARD IS UNSTABLE BETWEEN THESE TWO POINTS AND THIS COULD BE POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD AS DASH COULD CRACK OR SPLINTER IF AIRBAG DEPLOYED CAUSING INJURY TO THE PASSENGERS. DASHBOARD HAS BEEN PROTECTED IN GARAGE OR WITH SUN DEFLECTOR DURING OWNERSHIP SO DASHBOARD CRACKS WOULD BE DEFECT VS. ELEMENT RELATED.
THE DASH PANEL OF MY 2011 SUBURBAN LTZ HAS MULTIPLE CRACKS. THE CRACKS ARE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE, ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FROM ONE END TO THE OTHER, AND AT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG, FROM ONE END TO THE AIR BAG. I HAVE PAID TO HAVE THE CRACKS REPAIRED MULTIPLE TIMES, BUT THEY CONTINUE TO CRACK, AS EVIDENCED BY THE ATTACHED PICTURES. THESE CRACKS HAVE APPEARED COMPLETELY ON THEIR OWN WITHOUT ANYTHING BEING PLACED ONTO OR HITTING THE DASH PANEL. SHOULD I BE INVOLVED AN ACCIDENT CAUSING THE AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY, THESE CRACKS WOULD CREATE A "SHRAPNEL EFFECT" OF THE PLASTIC PIECES BEING FORCED INTO THE PASSENGER CABIN AND POSSIBLY INTO THE FACES OF PASSENGERS.
DASHBOARD HAS A CRACK BY AIRBAG AND ANOTHER IS STARTING ON TOP OF STEERING WHEEL AND IS SPREADING. NEVER USED ANY PRODUCTS ON DASH JUST DAMP CLOTH TO DUST. WORRIED IF AIRBAG DEPLOYS SHARP OBJECTS FROM DASH WILL CAUSE INJURY.
DASHBOARD CRACKING AT PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AND DRIVER SIDE ABOVE SPEEDOMETER
CRACKED DASHBOARD OVER PASSENGER-SIDE FRONT AIRBAG. CRACKED DASHBOARD OVER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.
DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED WITHOUT ANY INTERVENING EVENT. ONE CRACK ON THE RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE DASHBOARD IS DIRECTLY ON THE TOP LEFT SIDE OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. I'M AFRAID IF AIRBAG WAS DEPLOYED SHARDS OF PLASTIC WOULD BECOME PROJECTILES OR POSSIBLY INTERFERE WITH THE AIRBAG OPERATION. ANOTHER CRACK ON TOP OF DASHBOARD IS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE ON THE TOP LEFT SIDE OF THE INSTRUMENTATION CLUSTER IS MORE THAN 5.5 TO 6 INCHES LONG.
I HAVE A LARGE CRACK IN THE DASHBOARD OVER TOP OF THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. I DON'T KNOW HOW OR WHEN IT OCCURRED. I FIRST NOTICED IT IN THE BEGINNING OF OCTOBER, 2014. BECAUSE OF ITS LOCATION IT IS NOT EASILY VISIBLE AND IT'S POSSIBLE IT MAY HAVE BEEN THERE FOR SOME TIME. I FOUND THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH GM PRODUCTS AND GM REFUSES TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE. I WENT TO MY LOCAL DEALER ABOUT IT AND THEY TOLD ME IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY I PURCHASED. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THE POTENTIAL FURTHER DETERIORATION WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE. *TR
IN SEPTEMBER 2014, I NOTICED MY DASH ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CRACKING. I PURCHASED THIS CAR AS A GM CERTIFIED USED CAR WITH ORIGINAL FACTORY WARRANTEE IN APRIL 2013 WITH 60081 MILES ON IT. IN LESS THAN 5 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP IT DEVELOPED THIS CRACK WHILE STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTEE. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL DEALER WITH ALL MY PAPERWORK AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOT COVERED, NOR WOULD THEY REPLACE IT. THIS CRACK HAS DEVELOPED DUE TO NO FAULT OF MY OWN FROM NEGLECT, EXCESS WEAR AND TEAR, EXCESS SUNLIGHT OR ANYTHING OTHER THAN MANUFACTURE FLAW. THIS CRACK HAS CONTINUED TO SPREAD AND DUE TO THE THIN AND SHARP NATURE OF THE PLASTIC, IF I WERE TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT, THIS WOULD SPLINTER AND ACT LIKE SHRAPNEL WITHIN THE CABIN. MY FAMILY'S LIFE IS DANGER DUE TO THIS FACT AND GM REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS IS AN ISSUE. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AS I KNOW MANY OTHERS HAVE THE SAME ISSUE WITH EVEN 2015 MODELS. I AM ASKING FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY AND YOURS.
THERE ARE TWO CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD, ONE OVER THE DRIVER CONSOLE AND ONE ON THE TOP LEFT OF PASSENGER AIRBAG....NOTHING HAS OCCURRED TO CAUSE THESE CRACKS, BUT I AM AFRAID IF AIRBAG IS DEPLOYED, THE DASH WILL BREAK UP AND HURT US. *TR
ENGINE WAS IDLING LOW AND HESITATING AT LOW SPEEDS, THEN ENGINE STARTED RUNNING RALLY ROUGH. SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, CHANGED GAS IN VEHICLE, PROBLEM CONTINUED. ENGINE RUNNING REALLY ROUGH AND SERVICE STABILITRACK LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK TRUCK TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THE FIRST SPARK PLUG WAS FOULED DUE TO OIL CONTAMINATION AND THAT ENGINE AND FUEL INJECTORS AND THROTTLE BODY NEEDED CLEANING. THIS COST $475 AND WAS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY.
WE OWN A 2011 CHEVY SUBURBAN AND ONE DAY NOTICED TWO CRACKS ON OUR DASHBOARD. ONE CRACK LEADS STRAIGHT INTO THE PASSENGER AIR BAG AND THE OTHER CRACK IS OVER THE DASH CONSOLE ON THE DRIVER SIDE. BECAUSE OUR SUBURBAN IS OUT OF THE 36K MILE WARRANTY WE WERE REFERRED TO GM. WE CALLED GM AND WERE TOLD THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY $450.00 OUT OF OUR POCKET TO GET IT FIXED. WE ARE VERY CONCERNED THAT EITHER 1) THE AIR BAG MAY NOT DEPLOY IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT OR 2) THAT IT WILL DEPLOY ON ITS OWN WHILE WE ARE DRIVING. WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT GM IS NOT WILLING TO STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT AND REPLACE AT NO COST AS THIS IS CLEARLY EITHER A MANUFACTURER DEFECT OR A POOR QUALITY PRODUCT. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY I WAS USING THE CRUISE CONTROL AND THE CAR BEGAN TO INCREASE IN SPEED WITHOUT MY CONTROL. IT WENT FROM 65 TO 90 IN A FEW SECONDS AND I HAD TO SLAM ON THE BREAKS TO GET IT TO STOP. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. ALSO WE CAN NEVER LET THE GAS GET LOWER THEN A QUARTER OF A TANK OR THE CAR JUST SHUTS DOWN LIKE ITS EMPTY. SOMETIMES THE ENGINE WILL JUST REV UP FOR NO REASON AND OTHER TIMES IT DOESN'T ACCELERATE PROPERLY. YOU CAN PUSH THE GAS AND IT FEELS LIKE THE SPEED IS DELAYED BUT THEN WILL CATCH UP. *JS

THE VEHICLE DASHBOARD HAS DEVELOPED MAJOR CRACKS IN TWO PLACES. ONE CRACK IS ADJACENT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. THE OTHER CRACK IS ABOVE THE STEERING COLUMN. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD WILL BECOME SHRAPNEL IF THE AIRBAG SYSTEM WAS TO DEPLOY. ADDITIONALLY, THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD "FLAPS" WHEN THE VEHICLE IS MOVING. *TR
TAKATA RECALL. DEALER HAS NO REPAIR FOR MY VEHICLE. DASH IS CRACKING
WITHIN LESS THAT TWO YEARS THE DASH STARTED CRACKING IN MULTIPLE PLACES. IT HAS CONTINUED UNTIL THE CRACKS HAVE SPANNED THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE DASH IN IN MULTIPLE PLACES RUNNING FROM FRONT TO REAR. WHILE DRIVING THE PIECES OF THE DASH CONTINUALLY VIBRATE AND FLEX. THE DEALER WILL NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY OR PROVIDE WARRANTY COVERAGE.
A SMALL CRACK BEGAN ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF DASH BOARD. WITHIN WEEKS, THE CRACK BECAME MUCH BIGGER. AFTER TWO MORE WEEKS, I NOTICED ANOTHER CRACK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE DASH. SOON, IT BECAME MUCH LARGER TOO. NOW, THERE ARE SEVERAL CRACKS ON THE DASHBOARD. THIS AUTOMOBILE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY TYPE OF ACCIDENT OR DRIVING ON ROUGH TERRAIN. I DON NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE DASHBOARD WOULD CRACK. I HAVE NEVER OWNED A VEHICLE WHICH HAS HAD THIS HAPPEN. *TR
THIS IS BECOMING A RECURRING AND REPRODUCIBLE PROBLEM. THE UNINTENDED ACCELERATION OCCURS WHILE SLOWING DOWN FOR A STOP SIGN AND DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE MOST RELIABLE WAY TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM IS AS FOLLOWS. BE DRIVING ABOUT 15 MILES PER HOUR, UP A SLIGHT SLOPE. MOVE YOUR FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND ON TO THE BRAKE PEDAL. DEPRESS THE BRAKE LIGHTLY. JUST AS THE VEHICLE STARTS TO SLOW DOWN YOU WILL FEEL THE ACCELERATION OF THE ENGINE AS IF THE VEHICLE IS ATTEMPTING TO MAINTAIN THE 15 MILE PER HOUR PREVIOUS SPEED. THIS UNEXPECTED RESPONSE WILL LAST ABOUT TWO SECONDS AND THEN RETURN TO NORMAL (IDLE) CONDITION. THIS SUDDEN AND UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR IS VERY UNNERVING AND COULD LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT IF THE ROAD CONDITIONS WERE TO BE SLIPPERY. *TR
THE DASH IN OUR 2011 CHEVY SUBUBAN LTZ IS CRACKED AT THE AIRBAG. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THIS IS A GM DEFECT THAT IF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED IT COULD BE DANGEROUS AND PROJECT PIECES OF THE DASH. THIS NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO FURTHER.
I HAVE NOTICED THAT WHEN DECELERATING & APPLYING MY BRAKES WHEN APPROACHING A STOP THAT MY VEHICLE ACTUALLY WILL ACCELERATE ALL OF THE SUDDEN. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, NOT ALWAYS, BUT ENOUGH FOR ME TO BE CONCERNED. MY DAUGHTER ALSO EXPERIENCED THIS SUDDEN ACCELERATION WHEN SHE WAS DRIVING MY SUBURBAN. SHE, LIKE ME, SAID IT HAPPENED WHEN SHE WAS APPROACHING A STOP SIGN AND WAS APPLYING BRAKE PRESSURE. THIS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. *TR
CRACKED DASHBOARD. THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FROM THE AIRBAG TOWARDS THE WINDSHIELD AND ON THE DRIVERS SIDE STARTED AT THE SEAM AND IS CREEPING TOWARD THE STEERING WHEEL ABOVE THE SPEEDOMETER.
1.)WHEN WE WERE DRIVING THRU THE MOUNTAINS OUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM STARTED TO GO HAYWIRE AND THE LIGHTS STARTED GOING IN AND OUT AND THE IGNITION STARTED TO ACT UP CAR TURNED OFF A FEW TIMES WE HAD TO RESTART IT WHEN WE BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET CHECKED OUT THEY SAID THERE WAS COINS IN THE RADIO. 2.) THE DEFROSTERS FOR THE FRONT WINDSHIELD DOESN'T DEFROST THE WINDOW AT ALL WHEN DRIVING IN COLD DAYS THE WHOLE WINDOW FOGS UP AND FREEZES MAKING VISIBILITY TO NONE AND WE HAVE TO STOP WIPE DOWN THE WIND SHIELD AND DRIVE AGAIN FOR TEN MINUTES THEN THIS PROBLEM GOES ON AND ON THE HEATER GOES ON FULL BLAST BUT NO RESULTS THAT IS A VERY UNSAFE AND UN DRIVABLE AT TIMES. COINS IN THE RADIO? I WAS ASTONISHED AND VERY UPSET HOW COULD AN INDUSTRY MAKE A VEHICLE THAT IF WATER IS SPILLED ON/OR IN THE RADIO OR COINS DROPPED IN THE CD COMPARTMENT THAT THE WHOLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM GOES OUT AND STARTS GOING HAYWIRE ESPECIALLY HERE IN ALASKA A LOT SNOW AND HARSH WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS ARE NOT GREAT AND IF THE VEHICLE STALLS DO TO THE RADIO AND DEFROSTERS NOT WORKING OR SOMEONE SPILLED SOMETHING ON THE RADIO THEN THE PEOPLE AND CHILDREN WOULD FREEZE TO DEATH THEN WHO WOULD BE AT FAULT THAT MEANS THE COMPANY THAT MAKES THE VEHICLE IS GONNA BE LIABLE FOR THE CONSEQUENCES THE DEFROSTERS NOT WORKING DOESN'T HELP ANY WE HAVE TO DRIVE THRU THIS WEATHER OUT HERE 9MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR AND HAVE TO SUFFER BECAUSE OF THESE SITUATIONS THAT IS INEXCUSABLE AND VERY DANGEROUS TO PUBLIC THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED AND RESOLVED. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP A FEW TIMES BUT THE PROBLEM STILL CONSISTS DOING THE HORRIBLE DANGEROUS THINGS THAT THE SUBURBAN DOES WE HAVE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE IN AGAIN BECAUSE THE RADIO IS ACTING UP AGAIN AND DEFROSTERS ARE ACTING UP THIS IS A DEFECT AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED. *TR

THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. ADDITIONALLY, THE REAR LIFT GATE CLOSED ON ITS OWN WHILE THE CONTACT WAS STANDING UNDERNEATH. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BRUISING TO HER FACE. ALSO, THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE WHILE DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,000. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AN ABNORMAL AND OVERPOWERING ODOR WAS PRESENT IN THE REAR INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT'S FOUR SMALL CHILDREN WERE ASLEEP IN THE REAR ROW SEATS AND WHEN CALLED UPON, DID NOT AWAKEN TO RESPOND. THE CONTACT EXITED THE VEHICLE TO INSPECT FURTHER AND DISCOVERED THE ODOR. ADDITIONALLY, ALL FOUR CHILDREN HAD BECOME ASPHYXIATED BY THE FUMES. TWO OF THE FOUR CHILDREN WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL WHERE IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE CHILDREN'S ASTHMA REACTED TO THE OVERPOWERING ODOR, AND WERE GIVEN MEDICATION FOR TREATMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ONE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL FLUID HAD OVERHEATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER DEALER FOR THE REPAIRS WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THERE WAS NO FAILURE AND NO REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED. THE CONTACT ALSO EXPERIENCED RAPID ACCELERATION FAILURE WHILE SITTING AT A TRAFFIC STOP. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TEN TIMES YET THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE REPLICATED EACH TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 400 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 55,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE ACCELERATOR HESITATES WHEN PRESSED. THE CAR DOES NOT MOVE AND WILL THEN ACCELERATE RAPIDLY WHEN AT A STOP AND TRYING TO ACCELERATE THROUGH INTERSECTIONS. DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE FOR REPAIRS. RECURRING ISSUE. ALSO HAS A POPPING OR CLUNKING NOISE IN BACK PASSENGER SIDE. DEALER HAS DUPLICATED BUT NOT REPAIRED. *TR
AIR BAG FOR THIS 2011 SUBURBAN HAS BEEN IN RECALL FOR 9 YEARS WITH "RECALL INCOMPLETE, REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE". I THINK 9 YEARS FOR A RECALL SOLUTION IS ENOUGH TIME - ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE IS NO WAY TO DISABLE THE AIR BAGS. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT MY RECOURSE IS WHEN A FAMILY MEMBER IS KILLED BY SHRAPNEL.
