TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2002 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A GUARD RAIL. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A FRACTURED COLLAR BONE, SEVERAL BROKEN RIBS, HEAD TRAUMA, BRAIN BLEEDING, AND STROKES. THE CONTACT WAS PLACED INTO A MEDICALLY INDUCED COMA AND ON A RESPIRATORY MACHINE, BUT LATER DIED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SAVAGE YARD. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,000.
WHEN THE A/C FAN IS TURNED ON..IT BEGINS TO MAKE A FLUTTERING NOISE THE WHOLE TIME YOU ARE DRIVING.( VERY LOUD). I HAVE HAD TO A/C BELTS TO BREAK BECAUSE OF THIS FLUTTERING. THE COMPRESSOR MUST BE LOCKING UP. *TR

HOWEVER, GOODYEAR DENIED HIS CLAIM, STATING THE DRIVER SIDE REAR TIRE FAILURE WAS DUE TO LOSS OF AIR PRESSURE AND NO WORKMANSHIP OR MATERIAL RELATED CONDITIONS WERE FOUND TO HAVE CAUSED THE INITIAL AIR LOSS. THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED AS A RESULT OF THE TIRE FAILURE. *JB
2002 CHEVY TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING ATTEMPTED TO SLOW DOWN FOR A RED LIGHT AND DRIFTED THROUGH IT JUST MISSED GETTING HIT BY A TRACTOR TRAILER. GOT THE TRUCKED STOPPED AND HAD FOUND THE BRAKE LINES AT THE ANTILOCK BRAKE CONTROLLER ARE CORRODED AND LEAKING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TAHOE K1500. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKES. SHE WAS ABLE TO ENGAGE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND SHIFTED THE VEHICLE INTO PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE BRAKE LINE WAS RUSTED AND CORRODED. THE DEALER RECOMMENDED THAT SHE REPLACE THE BRAKE LINES. THE CONTACT DID NOT INFORM THE MANUFACTURER OF THE FAILURE NOR WAS THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED AND THE BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED TO THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE ROLLED TO A STOP AND THE CONTACT NOTICED BRAKE FLUID WAS SPILLING UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO REPLACE THE BRAKE LINES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 99,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE ON 2002 TAHOE.FIRST FAILURE AROUND 17,000 MILES. FIXED UNDER WARRANTY. SECOND FAILURE LITTLE OVER A YEAR LATER. FIXED UNDER WARRANTY. THIRD FAILURE LITTLE OVER A YEAR LATER. DEALER FIXED, BUT SAID THEY PAID FOR IT. FOURTH FAILURE LITTLE OVER 2 YEARS LATER. I HAVE READ ABOUT DEFECTIVE SUN GEAR IN TRANSMISSION AND THAT THEY WERE NEVER TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE. GM WOULD NOT REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AND WOULD ONLY REBUILD I HAVE HAD 4 FAILURE'S IN ABOUT 75,000 MILES. I DON'T THINK THIS IS NORMAL SERVICE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 5 MPH WHEN THE BRAKING SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING AN INCREASE IN STOPPING DISTANCE. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 05V379000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK) AND THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE HE WAS ADVISED THAT HIS VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE DEALER RECOMMENDED HAVING A DIAGNOSTIC PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NEITHER DIAGNOSED FOR THE FAILURE NOR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000.
APPROACHING INTERSECTION ATTEMPTED TO STOP FOR RED LIGHT, BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR WITH VERY DIMINISHED BRAKING. FORTUNATELY IT WAS A SATURDAY EVENING AND THERE WAS NO CAR IN FRONT OF ME AND NONE COMING THROUGH THE INTERSECTION. INSPECTION SHOWED REAR BRAKE LINE SPLIT AFTER ABS DUE TO EXCESSIVE RUST. TWO DAYS LATER AND WE WOULD HAVE BEEN ON VACATION DRIVING IN THE MOUNTAINS. THE DAY AND TIME IS THE ONLY REASON THE OCCUPANTS WALKED AWAY. THERE WAS NO BRAKE IDIOT LIGHT OR MESSAGE CENTER MESSAGE TO INDICATE A PROBLEM. THE BRAKE IDIOT LIGHT DOES WORK WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED ON. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED WHEN COMING TO A STOP AND DEPRESSING THE BRAKES, THE ABS SENSOR WOULD ENGAGE INDEPENDENTLY AND CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO LUNGE FORWARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE FAILURE UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 05V379000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC: ANTILOCK), WHICH WAS REPAIRED IN 2006. 2002 CHEVY TAHOE LT 4WD, CURRENT MILEAGE IS 85K. FOR THE LAST 25K MILES THIS VEHICLE HAS EXPERIENCED A NOISY SHUDDERING SOUND WITH A SLIGHT VIBRATION FELT THROUGH THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT. BALL JOINTS, TIE RODS AND ALIGNMENT CHECK OUT OK. PROBLEM CAN BE TEMPORARILY (FOR SEVERAL DAYS) RESOLVED BY DEALER WHEN FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY IS LUBED DURING GENERAL SERVICE. HAD FRONT AXLE SEALS REPLACED AT 80K, NOISY VIBRATION WAS TEMPORARILY SUPPRESSED, RETURNED A WEEK LATER. *TR
I OWN A 2002 CHEVY TAHOE AND ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO(DECEMBER 2010) MY FUEL GAUGE BEGAN TO START FAILING TO READ PROPER FUEL LEVELS. THE PROBLEM CONTINUED FOR A COUPLE MORE WEEKS UNTIL FINALLY THE FUEL GAUGE SIMPLY WOULDN'T MAKE A READING AT ALL. I STAYED OPTIMISTIC THAT THE SITUATION WOULD CORRECT ITSELF BUT NO SUCH CORRECTION AROSE. I TRIED USING FUEL INJECTION CLEANERS TO POSSIBLY RESOLVE THE ISSUE BUT AGAIN NOTHING HELPED. FOR THE PAST COUPLE DAYS I HAVE BEEN READING NUMEROUS FORUMS AND ARTICLES ON THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM IN CHEVY VEHICLES RANGING FROM 2000 TO AS RECENT AS 08 MODELS. I'M WRITING THIS IN HOPES THAT A RECALL CAN OCCUR THAT WILL HELP SOLVE THIS ISSUE FOR THE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE THAT ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM I AM. CHEVY NEEDS TO BE LIABLE FOR THE FRAUDULENT MANUFACTURING OF VEHICLES THAT EXPERIENCE THE SAME ISSUE OVER AND OVER AGAIN. INSTEAD OF LETTING AMERICANS SHOVEL OUT 800 PLUS DOLLARS IN ISSUES THAT SHOULDN'T BE OCCURRING SO EARLY IN A VEHICLES LIFE. I HAVE YET TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE IN HOPES THAT THE GOVERNMENT WILL FORCE CHEVY INTO RECALLING THE VEHICLES FOR PROPER REPAIRS. *KB
I HAD A COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE ON MY 2002 TAHOE AFTER DRIVING AT HWY SPEEDS, NO WARNING LIGHTS, NOTHING, COULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC, AND OR DEADLY. BRAKE LINES COMPLETELY RUSTED UNDER DRIVERS DOOR ALONG FRAME..LIKE HUNDREDS, AND THOUSANDS OF OTHER COMPLAINTS OF SAME EXACT PROBLEM, SAME LOCATION. TO REPLACE ALL OF MY BRAKE LINES EXCEPT THE REAR LINES, WHICH WERE REPLACED 2 YEARS AGO FOR THE SAME PROBLEM, IT COST ME $800. RECALL NEEDED BEFORE SOMEBODY IS SERIOUSLY INJURED, OR KILLED. *TR
WE HAVE NOW HAD TO REPLACE ALL FOUR OF OUR DOOR HANDLES. THE BLACK PLASTIC AND HARDWARE JUST ROTS AWAY. EVENTUALLY YOU PULL ON THE DOOR HANDLE AND THE PIECE BREAKS OFF OF THE CAR AND HANGS BY ONE REMAINING FIXTURE. MONEY PIT FOR SURE. *TR
I WAS DRIVING HOME & WHILE ACCELERATING I NOTICED MY TRUCK BEGIN TO REV & NO LONGER ACCELERATE,MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR & PUT IT BACK ON IT, I WAS IN AN 50 MPH AREA, & MY TRUCK JUST CONTINUED TO REV. I STARTED TO LOSE SPEED. I REPEATED TO PUT MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR THEN I PICKED UP SPEED BUT ON TO ABOUT 35 MPH. MY TRUCK WOULDN'T SHIFT TO 3RD GEAR. I MADE IT HOME. THE NEXT DAY I HAD IT TOWED TO THE REPAIR SHOP. I ORDER A NEW TRANSMISSION OFF EBAY, HAD IT INSTALLED & GOT MY TRUCK BACK IN ABOUT 3WKS. IN JUNE 2012 THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED, MY TRUCK WOULDN'T SHIFT INTO 3RD GEAR & MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I HAD THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED WITH ANOTHER NEW TRANSMISSION & IN JULY 2013 THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. THIS TIME I DID NOT GO GET ANOTHER NEW TRANSMISSION. I STARTED ASKING AROUND & FOUND THAT OTHERS HAVE BEEN HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR TAHOE TRANSMISSIONS. I THEN TRIED PUTTING LUCAS STOP SLIP & THAT DID NOTHING TO HELP THE PROBLEM. MY TRUCK HAS BEEN SITTING FOR MONTHS BECAUSE I HAVE PUT TOO MUCH MONEY INTO NEW FACTORY BUILT TRANSMISSIONS & THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT SEEM TO BE THE PROBLEM. *TR

MY VEHICLES ABS LIGHT JUST CAME ON FOR NO REASON AND IT TAKES LONGER TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP WHEN PRESSING ON THE BRAKES. ALSO, AFTER TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF, IT SOUNDS LIKE SOMETHING UNDER THE HOOD IS STILL RUNNING AND THE BATTERY IS DRAINED. *TR

I CALLED CHEVROLET AT THE NUMBER STATED IN THE RECALL AND WAS TOLD IT DOES NOT APPLY TO MY VEHICLE THUS CHEVROLET WILL NOT REPAIR THE DEFECT ON MY VEHICLE. I FIND IT AN UNIMAGINABLE COINCIDENCE THAT I HAVE THE VERY SAME YEAR/MODEL VEHICLE EXHIBITING THE EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS AS STATED IN THE RECALL YET CHEVROLET STATES THAT IT DOES NOT APPLY TO MY VEHICLE AND WILL NOT PERFORM THE REPAIRS UNDER THE RECALL. I WALKED INTO MY GARAGE AT NIGHT TO SEE IT FILLED WITH SMOKE, PLASTIC SMELLING AND COMING FROM UNDERNEATH WHEN I LOOKED UNDER THE 2002 TAHOE I SAW A RED GLOWING BALL AND A LOT OF SMOKE COMING FROM ABS BOX BY THE FUEL FILTER. I BACKED IT OUT OF THE GARAGE AND FAR AWAY FROM MY HOUSE WHEN I STOPPED AND LOOKED UNDER AND THERE WAS A BURNED BLACK SMUGE BOX . IS THERE A RECALL ON THIS TAHOE? *TR

ANTILOCK BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON AND WANT GO OFF. BRAKES WORKS FINE. *TR
2002 CHEVY TAHOE WITH 105, 000 MILES. CHANGED SPARK PLUGS AND FOUND A SEVERED EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLT ON THE ENGINE. THE BOLT IS FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE END OF MANIFOLD. THE BOLT IS WORN AND RUSTY ON 90% OF IT AND THE OTHER 10% IS SHINY (LIKE A NEW BREAK). CALLED DUBLIN, CA CHEVY AND WENT IN AFTER THEY SAID THEY HAVE HAD MANY COMPLAINTS. THE OFFERED TO FIX IT FOR 10% OFF THE $1000 BILL. I TOLD THEM THAT IT WAS THEIR DEFECT AND THEY SHOULD PAY. I CALLED GMAC AND THEY TOLD ME TO GOTO ANOTHER CHEVY DEALER IN SAN LEANDRO, CA FOR A DIAGNOSIS SINCE THE 1ST DEALERSHIP NEVER LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD. THAT DEALER LOOKED AT THE TRUCK AND TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO REMOVE THE MANIFOLD AND IT WOULD COST APPROXIMATELY, $500, BUT IT COULD RUN MORE IF THERE WERE MORE BOLTS THAT BREAK OFF DURING THE REPAIR. I HAVE THREE YOUNG CHILDREN AND I HAVE TAKEN IMMACULATE CARE OF THIS TRUCK. I DON'T THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A REPAIR WHEN IT IS OBVIOUS BY LOOKING AT THE BOLT THAT THE BOLT WAS OVER TORQUED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS BUILT. AFTER MUCH RESEARCH, I HAVE FOUND THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS OF THIS EXACT PROBLEM. THEY NEED TO RECALL THESE VEHICLES AND FIX THEM. IF I LET THIS CONTINUE WITHOUT FIXING THE PROBLEM, I WILL HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM ON MY HANDS AND IT WILL BE A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
UNABLE TO FOLD DOWN REAR SEAT DUE TO CABLE ISSUES.
MY 2002 CHEVY TAHOE ANTILOCK BRAKES HAVE MALFUNCTIONED AND I WAS UNABLE TO STOP AT THE STOP SIGN BECAUSE MY VEHICLE KEPT GOING. I WAS GOING AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED AND THERE WAS A SCRUBBING SOUND. MY VEHICLE WENT THROUGH THE STOP SIGN AND I CAM TO A STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION. I CONTACTED MY MECHANIC AND HE STATED THAT IT SOUNDED LIKE THE ANTILOCK BRAKES AND SAID THAT THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL. I LOOKED IT UP ONLINE AND FOUND THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL. I CONTACTED GM AND WAS TOLD THAT MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE WASN'T PART OF THE RECALL NHTSA #05V379000 BECAUSE MY VIN NUMBER WASN'T LISTED. MY MECHANIC SAID THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME HE'S HEARD OF THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM. *TR
DRIVING DOWN INTERSTATE TRUCK STARTED TO LOOSE SPEED AND DIED HARD TO CONTROL AT 70MPH. HAD TO TRY AND GET TO THE SHOULDER OF ROAD IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, VERY DANGEROUS THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME 3 TIMES TONIGHT BEING THE 3RD TIME, THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL IT PUTS PEOPLES LIFE IN DANGER! *TR
BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE DUE TO EXCESSIVE CORROSION OF BRAKE LINES, 2002 CHEVY TAHOE: A COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE BRAKES DUE TO A LEAK IN THE BRAKE LINES DUE TO EXTENSIVE CORROSION OF THE BRAKE LINES. AN INSPECTION OF THE BRAKE LINES REVEALED A LEAK (DEVELOPED SUDDENLY) AND THE ENTIRE SET OF BRAKE LINES ARE HEAVILY CORRODED ALONG THEIR ENTIRE LENGTH. THE ONLY REASON THIS DID NOT CAUSE AN ACCIDENT WAS THE LEAK DEVELOPED SUDDENLY BEFORE THE TRUCK WAS STARTED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH WHEN THE ABS WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. HE TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND ON AND THE LIGHT WENT OUT. HE STATED THAT THE ABS WARNING LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE INTERMITTENTLY AND THE FAILURE WOULD ONLY OCCUR WHEN DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS. THE FAILURE HAD BEEN ONGOING SINCE AUGUST 2010. HE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS ADVISED THAT HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 05V379000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTI LOCK). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,000 AND THE CURRENT 117,000.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2002 CHEVY TAHOE, A GENTLEMAN RAN A STOP SIGN, I HIT HIM AT 39 MPH, HEAD ON IN MY TAHOE, T-BONED HIS TRUCK. NEITHER AIRBAG DEPLOYED, NOR DID MY SEATBELT KEEP ME FROM HITTING THE STEERING WHEEL AND MY HEAD KNOCKING ME OUT. GM SENT SOMEONE TO LOOK AT MY CAR WHICH HAS BEEN DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. I HAVE YET TO HEAR BACK FROM GM ON THIS INCIDENT. I PURCHASED THIS CAR BRAND NEW THINKING IT WAS SAFE. THE ONE TIME I NEEDED MY SEATBELT TO WORK, IT FAILED. THE COMPUTER IN MY CAR SHOWED BOTH SEATBELTS WERE ON AND IN WORKING ORDER, IT SHOWED THE CRASH WAS AT 39 MPH YET THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND THEY WERE IN PROPER WORKING ORDER. WHATEVER ANSWER GM GIVES ME WILL NOT BE GOOD ENOUGH UNLESS THEY ADMIT TO FAULTINESS IN THEIR EQUIPMENT. *TR
MY 2002 TAHOE'S ABS COMES ON AT SPEEDS UNDER 10 MPH IN DRY CONDITIONS. I SEE THAT THERE IS A RECALL FOR MY YEAR VEHICLE, SO I CONTACTED GM AND WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE WAS NOT ONE OF THE RECALLED VEHICLES, BUT YET I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AS LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER:07E106000 (WHEELS:CAP/COVER/HUB). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 126,000.

DUE TO THE ERROR IN THE FUEL GAUGE(INDICATING MORE FUEL THAN THE VEHICLE HAD) THE VEHICLE RAN OUT OF FUEL ON THE INTERSTATE WITH MY ENTIRE FAMILTY ON BOARD. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT AS I WAS UNABLE TO EXIT THE FREEWAY AND WAS NOT GIVEN A LOW FUEL INDICATOR LIGHT. THIS ERROR IN FUEL LEVEL COULD HAVE RESULTED IN SERIOUS INJURY AND I REQUEST A OEM RECALL TO CORRECT GAUGE OR SENSOR ERRORS, OUR FUEL GAUGE IS STILL NOT DISPLAYING ACCURATE READINGS, WE DO NOT TRUST THE GAURE ANYLONGER. GAS GAUGE NEVER WENT TO FULL. 4/2010 FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED $1000.00, NOW IT'S 7/2010 AND GAS GAUGE FLUCTUATES WHILE DRIVING WITH FULL TANK OF GAS TO EMPTY, CAR SLOWS DOWN AND THEN SUDDENLY PICKS BACK UP WITH GAS GAUGE SHOWING FULL AGAIN. VERY UNSAFE ON FREEWAYS!! WAS TOLD BY PEPBOYS WHEN THEY REPLACED FUEL PUMP THAT SOMETHING WASN'T WORKING WITH THE COMPUTER, OH REALLY, BUT OF COURSE WE WERE TOLD THAT 9 TIMES OUT OF 10 THAT IT WAS MORE THAN LIKELY THE FUEL PUMP AND THEY DIDN'T WORK ON THE COMPUTER. COST OF REPAIR WAS PROBABLY THE DECIDING FACTOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS FOUND THAT ONE OF THE REAR BRAKE LINES HAD RUPTURED DUE TO BRAKE LINE CORROSION, WHICH CAUSED A LOSS OF BRAKE FLUID. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO STOP AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND ENGAGING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE PEDAL EXTENDED TO THE FLOOR WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP; HOWEVER, AFTER APPLYING EXTREME PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL, HE WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45-50 MPH, THE CONTACT OBSERVED MULTIPLE IMAGES OF A CIRCLE REFLECTED INTO THE DRIVERS SIDE VIEW MIRROR AND A LEAKAGE OF FLUID. I AM WRITING TO REPORT THE SECOND FAILURE OF A VALVE STEM FROM NTB. THE TIRE IS A MICHELIN TIRE INSTALLED ON A 2002 CHEVY TAHOE. ALL TIRES ARE PROPERLY INFLATED AND ARE MAINTAINED AT THE PROPER LEVEL. THE FIRST OCCURRENCE WAS APPROX. 2 YEARS AGO AND THE TIRE LOST PRESSURE, DELAMINATED AND BLEW OUT. THE CURRENT TIRE LOST PRESSURE BUT IS INTACT. UPON RETURNING HOME MY WIFE ATTEMPTED TO REINFLATE THE TIRE TO DETERMINE WHERE THE AIR IS LEAKING FROM. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE AIR WAS LEAKING FROM THE VALVE STEM. BOTH TIRES AND VALVE STEMS WERE PURCHASED FROM NTB. *TR
