DASHBOARD HAS A LARGE CRACK IN FRONT OF DRIVER
DASHBOARD IS CRACKED ON BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE NEAR AIRBAGS. MY FEAR IS THAT DUE TO THAT THE AIRBAGS WONT FUNCTION PROPERLY. *TR

DASH CRACKED ON LEFT SIDE OF STEERING WHEEL HUMP. A FEW MONTHS LATER THE DASH CRACKED ON THE UPPER LEFT SIDE OF PASSENGER AIR BAG. *TR
DASHBOARD IS CRACKED AND FALLING APART
MY VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION DUE TO THE ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENT(DISPLACEMENT ON DEMAND) FEATURE. THE VEHICLE CONSUMES APPROXIMATELY 1QUART EVERY 1000 MILES...THE OIL IS BURNED THROUGH THE PISTONS CAUSING BLUE-ISH COLORED SMOKE TO COME OUT OF THE TAIL PIPE. THE VEHICLE COMES NOT A DROP OF OIL IF THE ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENT IS TURNED OFF. EVERY SINGLE VEHICLE FROM GM THAT I HAVE TESTED HAS HAD EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION DUE TO THE ACTIVE FUEL MANAGEMENT FEATURE. AFTER THAT FEATURE IS TURNED OFF, NO OIL IS CONSUMED. 1 QUART OF OIL IS BURNED IS AS LITTLE AS 300 MILES. THIS CAN CAUSE THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE TO SHUT OFF AT ANY RATE OF SPEED DUE TO THE OIL PRESSURE CAUSED BY NOT HAVING ENOUGH OIL IN THE ENGINE. GENERAL MOTORS HAS TRIED FIXING MY VEHICLE AND OTHERS BY REPLACING THE LIFTERS, CAMSHAFT, PISTONS, PISTON RINGS, ETC..THIS FIX HAS NOT WORKED AND MANY VEHICLES CONTINUE TO HAVE EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION. VEHICLES AFFECTED RANGE FROM YEAR 2007 AND UP (PRESENT). MY VEHICLE ALSO HAS VARIOUS TRANSMISSION ISSUES WHICH CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO SHUT DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF MY DRIVING AND GREATLY INCREASING THE RISK OF AN ACCIDENT. GENERAL MOTORS HAS HAD VARIOUS REPAIRS BUT HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL. THIS IS A PROBLEM FOR GM SUV'S WITH THE 4-SPEED TRANSMISSION. THE OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUE IS WAY MORE SERIOUS THAN THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN AFFECTED MORE BY THE OIL CONSUMPTION PROBLEM. EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION ALSO DAMAGES THE EARTH'S ENVIRONMENT BECAUSE OF THE EXCESSIVE SMOKE COMING FROM THE TAILPIPES. *TR
DASH HAS MULTIPLE CRACKS AROUND THE AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND ONE CRACK IN DASH ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 CHEVY TAHOE AND THE DASH IS CRACKED FROM ONE END TO THE OTHER AND IS STARTING TO CRACK ON THE SIDE BY THE RADIO. I FEEL THE WHOLE DASH CAN FALL IN, BUT THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL. I HAVE A FRIEND WHO HAS THE SAME YEAR TAHOE AND IT IS AN LTZ AND HE IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
THE FRONT DRIVERS DOOR HANDLE SNAPPED OFF, THEN THE DRIVERS SIDE PASSENGER SNAPPED OFF ABOUT A MONTH LATER. I PAID TO HAVE THEM FIXED AT THE DEALERSHIP AND NOW THE 3RD DOOR HANDLE SNAPPED OFF. THE LAST ONE WAS THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE PARKED, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO PLACE THE GEAR SHIFTER INTO DRIVE. THE CONTACT WAS ONLY ABLE TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE. PREVIOUSLY, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT WHILE ACCELERATING, THE RPM READING WOULD INCREASE DRAMATICALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
DASHBOARD CRACKS WITH SHARP EDGES AROUND AIRBAG CAUSING NOISY AIRBAG AREA VIBRATION AND SEPARATION FORM DASHBOARD, IT IS SCARY THING TO HAVE WHEN MY WIFE OR ONE OF THE KIDS IN THE VEHICLE WITH ME. *TR
DASH IS EXTREMELY CRACKED IN THREE PLATES INCLUDING BY AIRBAG THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
DASH CRACKS BEGAN APPEARING AROUND 28,000 MILES. CAR NOW HAS 62,000 MILES AND FOUR CRACKS. ORIGINALLY, THE CRACKS WERE NOT COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. NOW, THESE CRACKS ARE NOT JUST AESTHETICALLY DISPLEASING, BUT CONCERNS ARE RAISED ABOUT THE CRACKS AROUND THE FRONT AIRBAG AND SAFETY ISSUES WITH REGARD TO AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. CRACKS JUST BECAME NOTICEABLE ONE DAY. THE VEHICLE WAS ALWAYS PAMPERED, KEPT IN A GARAGE AND PROTECTED BY SUNSHADES WHEN OCCASIONALLY PARKED OUTSIDE. UPON COMPLAINING, GM OFFERED TO FIX IT FOR HALF OF RETAIL COST...$500 INSTEAD OF $1100.
MY WIFE AND I WAS DRIVING ON A ASPHALT COUNTRY ROAD TRAVELING AROUND 40 MPH AND BOTH THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND PASSENGER'S SIDE ROOF TOP AIR BAGS DEPLOYED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. WE DIDN'T SWERVE OR TURN THE STEERING WHEEL IN ANYWAY. WE WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT DOWN THE ROAD WHEN IT HAPPENED. *TR
I NOTICE A CRACK ON MY DASH BOARD IN THE SEAM OF THE AIR BAG FRONT LEFT SIDE- AND THEN INSPECTED THE DASH BOARD TO FIND ANOTHER CRACK OVER THE STEERING HUMP OF THE DASH BOARD HEADING DOWN TOWARD THE VENT OF THE DASH BOARD. AS I RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE I HAVE FOUND SEVERAL OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE SOME UNDER WARRANTY AND OTHERS NOT. THE ISSUE IS THE DASH BOARD IS CHEAPLY MADE AND MAY CAUSE SEVERE DAMAGE IF IN AN ACCIDENT AND SINCE IT IS LOCATED NEAR THE AIR BAG IT COULD CAUSE INJURY. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE AND IN THE PAST 2 YEARS I HAVE CODES P0449 & P0455 CODES COME UP CONSTANTLY, WE HAVE ALREADY REPLACE THE PARTS THAT THOSE CODES REQUEST EVAP PURGE, VEAT VALVE 3 TIMES AND THE CAR KEEPS GIVING THE SAME ISSUES, IT STARTS WITH ASKING TO TIGHT THE GAS CAP (REPLACED TWICE WITH ORIGINAL GM PARTS) AND THEN THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES NEXT
2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. CONSUMER STATES AFTER DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY FOR 15 MINUTES OR SO THE TIRE LOW PRESSURE INDICATOR LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CAME ON *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED BEFORE HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, THE AIR WAS CHECKED SEVERAL TIMES, WITH NO INDICATION OF A PROBLEM. THE CONSUMER THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, WHERE THEY REPLACED THE SENSOR IN THE RIGHT REAR TIRE. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM CONTINUED. THE CONSUMER WENT TO ANOTHER DEALER, WHERE THEY RAN A TEST AND FOUND NO PROBLEM. AFTER FILING A COMPLAINT, THE CONSUMER WENT BACK TO THE SECOND DEALER WHERE THEY FOUND A LOCK PROBLEM. THEY REPLACED AND REPROGRAMMED THE RCDLR. THE CONSUMER STATED THE PROBLEM IS ONGOING. ALSO, THE DOORS LOCKED ON THEIR OWN ON A NUMBER OF OCCASIONS. *JB
THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERS TESTED IT OUT AND REPLACED THE SENSOR AND IT STILL DID NOT FIX IT. NOW THEY WANT US TO PAY A LOT OF MONEY TO RUN THE TEST AND HAVE THEM FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG. I AM READING A LOT OF BLOGS AND COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME THING AND I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY THEY HAVEN'T ISSUED A RECALL ESPECIALLY SINCE THESE AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE OIL ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THAT THE OIL NEEDED TO BE REPLENISHED EVERY 1,500 MILES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE PISTONS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT THE MOTOR NEEDED TO BE REBUILT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED UNDER AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST FOR 100 MILES AND DISCOVERED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A HEAVIER OIL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
CHROME PLATING ON INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES ARE PEELING LEAVING SHARP AND JAGGED EDGES CAUSING CUTS ON HAND AND FINGERS. ALSO, INTERIOR DOOR PANELS' RETAINING CLIPS ARE POPPING OUT CAUSING PANELS TO SEPARATE FROM THE DOOR.
UPON INSPECTION OF THE DASHBOARD IT HAS CRACKED BOTH ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL ON THE LEFT SIDE AND AT THE CORNER OF THE AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I AM CONCERNED THAT IF THIS CRACKS ANY WORSE THE AIRBAG MAY DEPLOY AND INJURE A PASSENGER OR IT MAY CAUSE THE STEERING COLUMN TO MALFUNCTION IF THE DASHBOARD FALLS. CHEVY SHOULD BE RECALLING THIS SO THAT NO ONE IS INJURED. *TR
AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE AT A CONTROLLED SPEED OF 70MPH I SUDDENLY NOTICED THE STABILITY AND TRACTION ICON CAME ON AND OFF EVERY 2 OR 3 MINUTES. AS THIS HAPPENED I FELT MY ENGINE LOSE POWER AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP FOR A FEW SECONDS. THIS IS NOW HAPPENING EVERY DAY I DRIVE TO WORK OR ANYWHERE I DRIVE OVER 55MPH. I HAVE A 4 MONTH OLD SON AND I AM PETRIFIED AT WOULD COULD HAPPEN IF THIS DOES NOT GET RECALLED OR FIXED. I HAVE READ THAT SERVICE CENTERS CAN NOT FIX THIS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHROME MATERIAL ON THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE DOOR HANDLE WAS PEELING. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A LACERATION TO THE RIGHT HAND. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000. *TR
THEY UNLOCK OR LOCK BY ITSELF, SEATS START MOVING AROUND, RADIO WILL ACT UP, THE LCD FOR THE DVD PLAYER STOPS WORKING SOME TIMES, AIR CONDITIONING WON'T WORK ON SOME VENTS, SIDE MIRRORS, BACK TRUNK DOOR WON'T WORK,LIGHTS IN THE CAR GOES DIM SOME TIMES WHILE DRIVING, THERE IS A BRAND NEW BATTERY IN THERE, SOME TIMES ONCE IN A WHILE IT WON'T START. *TR
THE FUEL GAUGE WAS READING 1/4 TANK AND SUDDENLY THE GAUGE WENT TO EMPTY AND THE DRIVING DISTANT WENT BLANK. AFTER A SHORT TIME THE GAUGE READ 3/4 TANK, THEN WENT OFF AGAIN, THEN RESET ITSELF TO 1/2 TANK. THIS HAS HAPPENED QUITE FREQUENTLY SINCE THEN. IT ONLY HAPPENS ONCE THE FUEL LEVEL GETS LESS THAN 3/8 OF A TANK. *TR
WHILE DRIVING, THE ELECTRONIC TRACTION CONTROL AND STABILITY CONTROL SHUTS OFF AND A WARNING APPEARS ON THE DASH. AFTER DRIVING A FEW MILES THE STABILITY CONTROL COMES BACK ON FOR A SHORT TIME AND THEN GOES OFF AGAIN. WHILE DRIVING THE STABILITY CONTROL MAY SHUT OFF INTERMITTENTLY SEVERAL TIMES. WHEN THE STABILITY CONTROL GOES OFF THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS VERY ROUGH. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKE TO 2 CHEVROLET DEALERS AT TOTAL OF 3 TIMES. EACH TIME THEY CHECK THE CODES AND RESET THE COMPUTER BUT THE INTERMITTENT STABILITY CONTROL AND TRACTION CONTROL PROBLEMS RETURN A FEW DAYS LATER. *TR
I HAVE CRACKS IN MY DASHBOARD AT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND AT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG. I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS FROM LACK OF QUALITY AS THE TRUCK HAS BEEN KEPT IN A GARAGE. I BELIEVE IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AND RECALLED BY GM ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE.
I WANT TO ADD TO THE KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE CRACKED DASHBOARDS ON THIS SERIES OF GM TRUCKS. I HAVE A CRACK JUST ABOVE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THE SECOND CRACK IS ABOVE THE GAUGE PANEL ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. MY CONCERN IS THE CRACK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I FEAR THAT IF IN A CRASH, THE PLASTIC ON THE DASH WILL FRAGMENT AND SEND SHARP PIECES FLYING. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE.
BACK PASSENGER DOORS FILL UP WITH WATER AFTER RAIN. DOOR HAS A DRAIN HOLE BUT IS BLOCKED BY DUST SHIELD CAUSING WATER TO STAY IN DOOR AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS. *TR
EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION, DEALER ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM WITH THAT MODEL YEAR ENGINE, AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE IN 3 TIMES ABOUT THIS PROBLEM THE INSTALLED OIL DEFLECTOR PER TSB, STILL HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. VEHICLE STILL USES 1.5 QUARTS OF OIL EVERY 1000 MILES, ALL MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN DONE BY THE BOOK BY THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM. *TR
DASH BOARD HAS EXTREME CRACKING ... IF ACCIDENT SHOULD HAPPEN, HEAVEN FORBID, FLYING PROJECTILES FROM PLASTIC DASH BOARD COULD CAUSE BODILY INJURY
I BOUGHT MY 2007 TAHOE IN 2011. THE VEHICLE HAD A SMALL CRACK BY MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I BOUGHT A SUN SHADE VISOR, BUT THAT DID NOT HELP THE PROBLEM. OVER THE PAST 6 SIX YEARS THE DASH HAS CRACKED 6-7 MORE TIMES. IT CRACKED WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON TBE HIGHWAY, IT CRACKED WHEN MY TRUCK WAS PARKED RIGHT AFTER I TURNED MY A/C ON, ON A HOT DAY. I'M CONCERNED BECAUSE IF THE FAULTY AIRBAG THAT HAS TO BE REPLACED IS DEPLOYED, SMALL SHARDS OF PLASTIC MAY BECOME PROJECTILES CAUSING GREAT BODILY HARM. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES LIKE MINE ON OUR ROADS EVERYDAY. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND THE PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE RECTIFIED.
The dashboard has multiple cracks back to front across its length. It could shatter in the event of an accident.
MY AIRBAG ALERT LIGHT WILL NOT GO OUT VIA THE DASHBOARD. IT'S MY UNDERSTANDING THERE IS NHTSA RECALL (16V383) DUE TO THE PROPELLANT IN SOME TYPES OF THE TAKATA AIRBAG INFLATORS WHICH CAN DEGRADE OVER TIME. THIS CAN CAUSE THE INFLATORS TO RUPTURE DURING DEPLOYMENT CAUSING SERIOUS OR FATAL INJURIES.
SLICED FINGER FOR THE SECOND TIME. AFTER THE FIRST TIME I CALLED THE DEALER HE SAID HE WOULD CALL ME BACK AND NEVER DID. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. *TR

CONSUMER STATES SEVERAL ISSUES WITH VEHICLE AND REQUEST INFORMATION ON RECALLS, SERVICE BULLETINS, WARRANTIES OR LEMON LAW *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE CRUISE CONTROL DOWN SHIFTED TO 2ND WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND ON HILLS, THE STARTER WOULD HANG, THERE WAS A NOISE COMING FROM THE AC COMPRESSOR. THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED. HOWEVER, IT CONTINUED TO HESITATE AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, AS WELL AS A VIBRATION. THERE WAS A CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE DIFFERENTIAL, THE IDLE NEEDLE WOULD RISE, WHILE AT A STOP, THE BATTERY DRAINED, THE ENGINE STALLED, THE DASH WAS CRACKED, THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE SUSPENSION, THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM WAS REPAIRED THREE TIMES, THE PASSENGER SIDE MIRROR WAS INOPERABLE, THE WEATHER STRIP HAD COME OFF THE VEHICLE AND THERE WAS A CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE U-JOINT. *JB
THE CHEVROLET TAHOE AND YUKON BOTH HAVE DEFECTS IN THE DASHBOARD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE THAT HOUSES THE AIRBAG. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A SAFETY FACTOR THAT GMC IS AWARE OF. AFTER WRITING TO CUSTOMER RELATIONS REGARDING MY DASHBOARD, THEY SENT ME TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT REPLACED EVEN THOUGH MY CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS, THE NEW DASHBOARD CRACKED IN THE SAME LOCATION. I RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THAT FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL OWNERS OF THESE VEHICLES THAT GMC BECOME LIABLE FOR REPAIRS. TAKATA INFLATORS WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT ON 02/28/2012 AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY AND I WAS INJURED BECAUSE OF THIS SUFFERED HEAD INJURIES SINCE THEN I HAVEN'T BEEN THE SAME FROM MY HEAD.
WHILE I WAS GETTING MY INTERIOR HANDLES REPAIRED SINCE THEY HAVE CRACKED, I WAS MADE AWARE THAT ONE OF MY DOOR HANDLES WAS FALLING OFF. THE INTERIOR HANDLES ARE COVERED UNDER A RECALL BUT NOT THE EXTERIOR HANDLE. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME ON TAHOES AND A QUICK "GOOGLE" SEARCH CONFIRMED THE ISSUE. THIS PROBLEM SHOULD ALSO BE COVERED UNDER A RECALL. I HAD TO PAY $160 TO REPAIR THE HANDLE. *TR
I HAD DRIVEN THE VEHICLE FOR 50 MINUTES. PARKED TURNED THE IGNITION OFF FOR 30 MINUTES. NEXT NEIGHBOR KNOCKED ON THE DOOR AND SAID "YOUR TAHOE IS ON FIRE". WE CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT BECAUSE WE COULD NOT PUT THE FLAMES OUT. FIRE DEPARTMENT TOOK ONLY FIVE MINUTES TO GET THERE. ONCE THE FIRE WAS OUT WE NOTICED THAT THE TAHOE WAS TOTALED. FROM THE NAKED EYE IT LOOKS LIKE THE ELECTRICAL FIRE STARTED ON THE DRIVER SIDE UNDER THE WINDSHIELD WIPER. THERE'S HUGE HOLE IN THE DASHBOARD BEHIND THE LEFT WINDSHIELD WIPER. I ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR 65 DAYS. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT BECAUSE I REALLY LIKE THE 2007 TAHOE. *TR

THE PASSENGER SIDE TOP SURFACE CRACKS EXTENDED TO THE AIR BAG HOUSING. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER REAR DOOR COULD NOT BE UNLOCKED. THE OWNER WOULD HAVE TO MANUALLY PULL THE DOOR LOCK UP AFTER OPENING THE WINDOW IN ORDER TO GET THE DOOR OPEN. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED BECAUSE A YOUNG CHILD USUALLY SAT IN THE REAR SEAT AND THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT IN THE EVENT THEY WOULD HAVE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE HASTILY, THE CHILD COULD POSSIBLY BECOME STUCK IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY A DEALER NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 92,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
CHEVY TAHOE DASH CRACKED AND BEGAN BREAKING APART. CRACK ABOVE PASSENGER AIRBAG THAT WOULD LIKELY RESULT IN SHARP PROJECTILES IF AIRBAG DEPLOYED. CRACK ALSO OCCURRED ABOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. DASH WAS REPLACED IN JANUARY 2012 AND THEN CRACKED AND HAD TO BE REPLACED AGAIN APPROX. 1.5 YEARS LATER IN 2013. THIS IS A MAJOR DEFECT. A GOOGLE SEARCH OF CHEVY TAHOE/SUBURBAN CRACKED DASH WILL ILLUSTRATE THE EXTENT OF THIS DEFECT.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW SWITCH FRIED ON OUR 2007 CHEVY TAHOE LT. IT LITERALLY BURNED A HOLE IN THE SIDE OF THE SWITCH WHERE THE TWO CIRCUIT BOARDS COME TOGETHER. IT IS A MIRACLE THAT THE ENTIRE CAR DID NOT GO UP IN FLAMES. I'VE DONE A LITTLE RESEARCH ONLINE AND APPARENTLY THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. THE 2006-2007 CHEVY TRIALBLAZERS AND TOYOTA RAV4'S HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUES. I BELIEVE THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL OF SOME SORT IN ORDER TO MAKE SURE THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE AND POTENTIALLY CATCH THE ENTIRE VEHICLE ON FIRE. *TR

I HAVE AN 07 TAHOE AND HAVE READ FROM OTHER PEOPLE THAT THIS IS HAPPENING TO ALOT OF OTHERS AS WELL. I HAD MY TRUCK INSPECTED AT THE CHEVY DEALER IN LAKE ELSINORE. THEY SAID IT COULD BE A NUMBER OF THINGS AND THOUGHT THAT CLEANING MY INTAKE SYSTEM WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. IT WAS FINE FOR ONE DAY THEN OUT OF NOWHERE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY MY STABILITY TRAC LIGHT COMES ON AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND SAYS REDUCED ENGINE POWER . I HAD MY WIFE AND KIDS IN THE TRUCK AND FIND IT FUNNY THAT I GUESS THIS HAS HAPPENED TO OTHERS WITH DIFFERENT VEHICLES BUT THE SAME YEAR GMC YUKONS. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS ONE AND THEY WERE NEAR SEMI TRUCKS. THIS IS NOT GOOD EVEN WORSE WHEN YOU ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE WARRANTY AND THE DEALER CAN'T TELL YOU EXACTLY WHAT IT IS BUT WANTS TO TRY EVERYTHING. THAT IS WRONG. THIS IS DANGEROUS TO HAVE HAPPEN AND EVEN WORSE WHEN THE DEALER WANTS TO SAY THEY ARE NOT EXACTLY SURE BUT FIND OUT FROM READING ABOUT OTHERS VEHICLES LIKE MINE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND NO HELP. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 50 MPH WHEN THE SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS DEPLOYED INADVERTENTLY AND CAUSED THE SEAT BELTS TO TIGHTEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE DEALER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO SPEAK WITH THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY IN REGARD TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,000.

THE INTERIOR PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE BEGAN TO PEEL. THE CHROME PLATING DID NOT LOOK DANGEROUS UNTIL MY GIRLFRIEND SLICED HER INDEX FINGER OPEN TRYING TO OPEN THE DOOR. IT WAS ALMOST LIKE BEING CUT WITH A SHARP POCKET KNIFE. *TR
