THE DASHBOARD HAS BEEN CRACKING AND CONTINUES TO INCLUDING PORTIONS NEAR AND AROUND THE AIRBAGS. *TR
CRACKED DASHBOARD IN MULTIPLE PLACES. THIS IS A WELL KNOWN PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED. I REACHED OUT TO CHEVY AND THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE. MY BIGGEST CONCERN IS AN AIR BAG DEFECT BECAUSE OF A BIG CRACK NEAR THE AIR BAG.
TAKATA INFLATORS I LIVE IN THE NORTHEAST REGION AND I BELIEVE MY CAR IS AFFECTED BY THE DEFLATION OF THE AIRBAGS. ALSO I HAVE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE WHERE SOME OF THE SPEAKERS WOULD WORK AND THEN HAVE A SHORT AND NOW THE VEHICLE OUTLETS IN THE FRONT HAS STOPPED WORKING. WHILE DRIVING I NOTICED THE SPEAKERS WOULD WORK AND THEN SHORT AND COME BACK ON . NOT ALL THE FRONT SPEAKERS ARE NOT PUTTING OUT ANY SOUND AND THE OUTLETS STOPPED WORKING. LASTLY THE DASH HAS BEEN CRACKING . THE CRACK STARTS FROM THE DRIVERSIDE AND ENDS IN THE CENTER OF THE FRONT DASH. I HAPPEN TO GET IN THE CAR AND NOTICE A CRACK IN THE DASH THAT GRADUALLY STARTED TO GET BIGGER. *TR
THE DOOR HANDLES ARE COMING COMPLETELY APART ON THE VEHICLE. I CANNOT ENTER THE VEHICLE ON THE RIGHT SIDE AT ALL AND NOW THE DRIVER SIDE HANDLE IS COMING APART MORE ALL THE TIME. EVENTUALLY I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET INTO THE VEHICLE TO DRIVE IT WHAT SO EVER AND DO NOT HAVE EXTRA MONEY TO REPAIR THIS GM ISSUE. THIS NEEDS TO BE TAKEN CARE AT NO CHARGE BY CHEVROLET. *KB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PANEL ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000. *TR
TAKATA RECALL AD MORE. 2007 CHEVY TAHOE LT3. FIRST DENIED CLAIM ON CRACKED DASHBOARD AS WARRANTY WAS UP. THEN CHEVY RECALLS CHROME INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES, BUT MY TAHOE IS NO IN THE RECALL. MY KIDS HAVE CUT THEIR HANDS ON THE PEELING HANDLES I TOOK IT TO GM THE SAID TOO BAD YOUR MILEAGE IS TO GREAT WE WONT HONOR RECALL FURTHERMORE YOUR VEHICLES IS NOT LISTED IN RECALL. HOW IS IT NOT LISTED WHEN ALL CHROME INTERIOR HANDLED VEHICLES WHERE RECALLED? THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE A HIKE. NOW I HAVE HAD A AIR BAG RECALL FOR OVER A YEAR, AND A VERY CRACKED DASH WHICH GM WILL NOT FIX. IF THE "RECALLED" AIR BAGS DID AS THEY HAVE DONE AND THE STATE OF MY DASH THERE WILL BE SIGNIFICANT INJURY TO OCCUPANTS. GM DOES NOT CARE, THEY HAVE ADDRESSED THE SITUATION NUMEROUS TIMES AND NOTHING THEY ARE DOING IS CORRECTING THE ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE PARKED, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO OPEN THE REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR WHEN THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE PARTIALLY DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED ON THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
I WAS ON R&R LEAVE FROM THE MIDDLE EAST FROM 26 OCT 2011 THRU 09 NOV. ON THE 2ND OF NOVEMBER I ATTEMPTED TO OPEN MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR AND THE PEALING CHROME ON THE DOOR HANDLE SLIT THROUGH MY MIDDLE FINGER. THE PEALING IS RAZOR SHARP AND LEFT A ONE INCH CUT IN THE CENTER OF MY FINGER. I HAD TO PLACE TAPE OVER THE DOOR HANDLE TO PREVENT BEING CUT AGAIN. WHO CAN I CONTACT ABOUT THIS HAZARD. I AM ACTIVE DUTY ARMY AND I AM OUT OF THE COUNTRY QUITE A BIT SO IF THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS I NEED TO KNOW. I AM THE FIRST AND ONLY OWNER OF MY TAHOE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE PARKED, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR HANDLE WAS FRACTURED AND DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTICS. THE DEALER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THAT THE DOOR HANDLE WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED IN TWO PLACES. ONE CRACK IS IN THE DRIVES SIDE AND ANOTHER CRACK IS IN THE AREA NEAR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I QUESTION WHETHER THE CRACK IS GOING TO HAVE AN IMPACT ON THE PERFORMANCE OF THE AIRBAG AND/OR POTENTIALLY CAUSE AN ISSUE OR INJURY IF THE AIRBAG IF EVER DEPLOYED.
EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE BROKE OFF WHEN TRYING TO OPEN THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR. THIS IS THE THIRD SUCH FAILURE OF A DOOR HANDLE ON THIS VEHICLE. *TR
MY 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE LT WAS POORLY MADE. THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE IS CHIPPING AND IT SLICED MY TWO FINGERS OPEN THIS MORNING. I THINK IT SHOULD BE RECALLED! ALSO MY DOOR PANEL ON THE OUTSIDE HAS BEEN CHIPPING BECAUSE IT IS PLASTIC. COME ON THE VEHICLES ARE EXPENSIVE! USE BETTER PRODUCTS GM! TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOOR HANDLES FOR THE REAR PASSENGER DOORS BROKE AND SEPARATED FROM THE DOOR FRAME. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
I BOUGHT A 2007 TAHOE WITH A MILEAGE OF JUST OVER 77K, THE LOW OIL LIGHT CAME ON JUST AS THE FIRST OIL CHANGE WAS DUE(3K MILES). IT WAS APPROXIMATELY A QUART LOW. THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT IT HAD JUST CHANGED THE OIL SO I THOUGHT, "MAYBE THEY JUST DIDNT PUT ENOUGH IN." TOOK IT TO LOCAL STATION THAT I GET ALL MY WORK DONE AT TO GET AN OIL CHANGE. LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN BEFORE THE NEXT OIL CHANGE WAS DUE AGAIN ALMOST A QUART LOW. I PUT MORE OIL IN AND CHANGED AGAIN AT 83086. AT 86147 LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AND WAS 1 1/4 QTS LOW, SO I ADDED MORE OIL. THEN AT 87098 WE WERE LEAVING TO GO ON A ROAD TRIP SO I CHECKED OIL AND IT WAS 1/4 QT LOW. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM FOR THIS YEAR VEHICLE ACCORDING TO ONLINE REPORTS. I SHOULDN'T BE HAVING TO ADD THIS MUCH OIL TO THE VEHICLE IN SUCH A SHORT AMOUNT OF MILEAGE. *TT
DOOR HANDLES KEEP BREAKING OFF . *TR
THIS MORNING AFTER A HEAVY RAIN LAST NIGHT, WHILE TAKING THE KIDS TO SCHOOL, I HEARD A WATER SLOSHING SOUND COMING FROM THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. GOT HOME AND INVESTIGATED THE DOOR- IT WAS LITERALLY FILLED INSIDE WITH WATER. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION, I FOUND THAT ALL DOORS HAD WATER IN THEM! SCARY! I HAD TO LEAVE ALL 4 DOORS OPEN FOR APPROX 20 MIN FOR WATER TO STOP DRAINING OUT! MY SAFETY CONCERN HERE IS IF THESE DOORS ARE FILLED (AND I'M NOT EXAGGERATING WHEN I SAY FILLED) WITH WATER, THERE MUST BE A RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK FROM THE DIFFERENT ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS INSIDE THE DOORS FOR WINDOWS AND/OR THE POWER LOCKS. *TR
MY CHILD ATTEMPTED TO OPEN REAR DOOR ON MY 2007 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ. ONE SIDE OF THE HANDLE BROKE, THUS PULLING ONE SIDE AWAY FROM THE DOOR AND PINCHING HER HAND SOMEHOW! THIS IS THE 2ND HANDLE TO BREAK ON THIS VEHICLE. I PERSONALLY WENT TO OPEN MY PASSENGER SIDE DOOR AND IT BROKE RIGHT OFF! WHAT IF WE WERE IN A CRASH AND NEEDED TO BE PULLED OUT AND THE DOOR HANDLES BREAK OFF?!? VERY DANGEROUS! UPON INVESTIGATING THIS DEFECT I HAVE LEARNED THIS IS NOT AN UNCOMMON INCIDENT! MY HUSBAND AND I PURCHASED A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE 8-16-11. I CUT MY LEFT MIDDLE FINGER ON THE CHROME DRIVER SIDE INTERIOR HANDLE 8-17-11. AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATION, WE DISCOVERED ALL THE HANDLES ON THE VEHICLE ARE PEELING AND VERY SHARP. WE HAVE A SMALL CHILD & I AM VERY CONCERNED THAT HE WILL ALSO START CUTTING HIS HANDS WHEN OPENING/CLOSING THE DOORS. I FEEL AS THOUGH WE SPENT TOO MUCH MONEY ON THE VEHICLE FOR THE HANDLES TO BE SLICING OUR FINGERS OPEN. *KB
OUR 2007 CHEVY TAHOE HAS HAD TO HAVE 2 DOOR HANDLES REPLACED IN THE LAST 2 YEARS. BOTH HANDLES HAVE EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. THE PIECE WHICH CONNECTS THE HANDLE TO THE DOOR SNAPS ALLOWING IT TO MOVE FREELY FROM THE DOORS. THESE INCIDENTS BOTH OCCURRED WHEN THE PERSON ENTERING THE VEHICLE TRIED TO PULL ON THE HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR. ONE INCIDENT WAS DUE TO MY WIFE OPENING THE DOOR AND THE OTHER OCCURRED WHEN A 14 YEAR OLD TRIED TO OPEN THE DOOR. WE HAVE HAD IT REPLACED ONCE AND NOW HAVE TO DO THE SAME AGAIN. SINCE THIS IS A $400 EXPENDITURE WITH PARTS AND SERVICE EACH TIME. THIS ISSUE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY SO WE HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS OURSELVES. *TR
THERE CRACKS ON MY DASH...AFTER LOOKING AROUND THE INTERNET , THIS A BIG PROBLEM..I CALLED GM, AND THE REP TOLD ME THAT THEY WHERE NOT GOING TO FIX IT AT THIS TIME SO I ASKED WHEN WILL A GOOD TIME BE. THEY REFUSED TO FIX IT AND MY VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.IF THIS AIR BAG DEPLOYS IT IS GOING TO CAUSE SOME SERIOUS DAMAGE OR DEATH TO SOMEONE, THIS NEEDS TO BE A MANDATORY RECALL.
THE DOOR HANDLE DETACHES FROM THE DOOR! I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN 3 TIMES NOW! IT COSTS $170 TO REPAIR AND IT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN. I BELIEVE THIS IS A FLAW WITH THE VEHICLE WHICH SHOULD BE REPAIRED AT NO COST BY THE MANUFACTURER. *TR
EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE ON MY 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE LTZ PRACTICALLY BROKE OFF IN MY HAND WHEN OPENING THE DOOR. MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD THAT HANDLES BREAK APART AND ENTRY INTO THE CAR COULD BE A PROBLEM SHOULD THEIR BE AN EMERGENCY OR ACCIDENT. *TR
DASH BOARD IS CRACKING AND HAS BEEN. CALLED AND WENT INTO DEALER AND ALWAYS TOLD NO RECALL BUT CAN THEY COULD REPLACE IT FOR $1000 - 1500 DOLLARS AT MY EXPENSE. I WORRY ABOUT THE AIR BAGS WITH PARTS OF THE DASH BOARD FALLING INTO THE DASH.

DASHBOARD HAS SEVERELY CRACKED AROUND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG, AMONG OTHER AREAS. DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG COULD CAUSE SHARP SHARDS OF PLASTIC TO BECOME PROJECTILES POSSIBLY CAUSING INJURY OR DEATH.
WHILE DRIVING WITH CRUISE CONTROL ENABLED TRAVELING AT 70 MPH WITH RPM AT 2000 RPM, THE 2007 TAHOE SURGED, JERKED IF YOU WILL, AS IF THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS TELLING THE VEHICLE IT WAS GOING TOO SLOW. HITTING THE BRAKES DID NOT DISENGAGED CRUISE CONTROL. ENGINE RACED TO 4000 RPM AND LOCKED AT 4000 RPM! SUCCESSFULLY SHIFTED VEHICLE TO NEUTRAL AND WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD AND I CAN ONLY HOPE THE NEXT PERSON THIS HAPPENS TO WILL BE AS LUCKY. HAD TO TURN VEHICLE OFF TO REDUCE ENGINE RPM FROM THE 4000 RPM IT WAS LOCKED ON. CALLED ON STAR AND INFORMED THEM OF WHAT HAPPENED AND THEY RAN A TEST WHICH INDICATED NO PROBLEM. VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESTART ON FIRST FOUR ATTEMPTS. DISABLED CRUISE CONTROL BUTTON ON STEERING WHEEL, WHICH WAS GLOWING YELLOW, AND THE ENGINE STARTED. GM CUSTOMER SERVICE CONTACTED, FILE 71-965035291 AND GM REFUSED TO REPLACE CRUISE CONTROL AS THE LOCAL DEALER IN SAN ANGELO TX INDICATED THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE CONCERN. IF SHOULD BE NOTED IT WAS 104 DEGREES AND THE ENGINE HAD BEEN RUNNING FOR OVER AN HOUR AND 100 MILES WITH THE VEHICLE LOADED WITH 5 PEOPLE AND LUGGAGE. THE LOCAL DEALER DID NOT DUPLICATE THE EXACT CONDITIONS AND INSTEAD DID A TEST DRIVE OF 60 MILES WITHOUT THE LOAD OR HIGH TEMPERATURE. TALKED TO SARAH AT 866 790 8601 EXT 12869 AND SHE PASSED ME ON TO VICTORIA, DAVID, AND THEN BACK TO VICTORIA. I AM AN EQUIPMENT ENGINEER AND VICTORIA DID NOT APPEAR TO HAVE ANY TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE. GM DID NOT TAKE MY OFFER TO REMOVE MY CRUISE CONTROL SO THEY COULD BENCH TEST THE UNIT AND ADD HEAT TO DRIVE THE FAULTY COMPONENT TO FAIL. GM, SPECIFICALLY VICTORIA, WANTS TO WAIT UNTIL SOMEONE ELSE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. I KNOW THIS LACK OF ACTION BY CHEVY/GM SEEMS HARD TO BELIEVE BUT THE DESCRIPTION I HAVE PROVIDED IS ACCURATE.
HI TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, I'M CONTACTING YOU GUYS IN CONCERNS OF A CRACKED DASHBOARD THAT INITIALLY STARTED AROUND MY AIRBAG AREA AND LATER ON CONTINUED CRACKING OVER MY INSTRUMENT PANEL. IN DO TIME I REALLY THINK MY DASH WILL HAVE HOLES IN IT ALLOWING ONE TO SEE ALL OF MY ELECTRICAL PARTS AND WHATSOEVER. THIS IS GOING TO IMPOSE A VEHICHLE SAFETY ISSUE DO TO IF GOD FORBID ONE GETS INTO AN ACCIDENT OF ANY TYPE AND DA AIRBAG DEPLOYS,ALL OF THAT SHARP PLASTIC WILL BE EMBEDDED INTO OUR FACES,ETC. GM NEEDS TO ISSUE AN RECALL BECAUSE THIS IS NOT CONSIDERED A NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ISSUE BEING THAT WHAT ACTIVITY TAKES PLACE ON MY DASHBOARDS!

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNKNOWN.
I HAVE A FUEL GAUGE PROBLEM NOT READING CORRECTLY,IT REGISTERS SOME GAS IN THERE WHEN THERE IS NO GAS IN THERE. I CAN PUT 20.00 DOLLARS OF GAS IN THERE, BUT IT WILL NOT REGISTER THAT WHICH I JUST PUT IN THERE, THEN SOMETIMES IT REGISTERS MORE, I'M NOT GETTING ACCURATE READINGS FROM MY GAS GAUGE *KB
CHEVY TAHOE 2007 LTZ EXTERIOR LEFT REAR CHROME DOOR HANDLE PARTIALLY DETACHED. STILL FUNCTIONAL, BUT LOOSE AND WILL REQUIRE REPAIR NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. HAVE READ THAT THIS DEFECT IS NOT UNCOMMON AND IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE FOR A $50K CAR. *TR
2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE HAS FAULTY CHROME DOOR HANDLES OWNED THE SUV FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR. ALL 4 HAVE BEEN REPLACED BUT WITH THE SAME FAULTY HANDLES. RECENTLY THE DRIVERS HANDLE BROKE AGAIN. THIS TIME MY HUSBAND HAD TO TIE AND HOLD THE DOOR CLOSED TO GET TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY WANTED US TO PAY FOR THE LAST 2 B/C IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY. THEY SAID IT'S A ONE TIME COMP. THE NEXT TIME WE WILL HAVE TO PAY. DEALERSHIP SAYS THEY HAVE NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THE CHROME HANDLES. THEY NEED TO BE RECALLED AND REPLACED WITH A NEW DESIGN. *TR

MULTIPLE DASHBOARD CRACKS AROUND PASSENGER AIRBAG AND NOW ON DRIVERS SIDE. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND THE TAHOE HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN THE GARAGE WHEN PARKED AT HOME.
I HAVE A 2007 CHEVY TAHOE AND RECENTLY WENT TO GET OUT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AND SLICED MY FINGER OPEN ON THE DOOR HANDLE. I EXAMINED THE HANDLE TO FIND THAT THE CHROME COATING IS PEELING, AND IS EXTREMLY SHARP! DEFINATLY WILL NEED TO BE FIXED TO PREVENT FURTHER INJURYS! CHROME PEELING OFF OF DRIVER INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE SLICED FINGER OF DRIVER WHILE ACTUATING THE DOOR HANDLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. MINOR INJURY TREATED WITH OUT-PATIENT CARE. UPON DETAILED INSPECTION, BOTH INTERIOR FRONT DOOR HANDLES EXHIBIT SAME CHARACTERISTIC OF SHARP, PEELING CHROME ON THE TOP OF THE HANDLE. CHEVROLET DEALER ADVISED THAT CHEVROLET WAS AWARE OF ISSUE BUT OFFERED NO REMEDY TO THE CAUSE.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS HER V-8 ENGINE SHOULD SWITCH TO A V-4 WHENEVER SHE INCREASED HER SPEED TO SAVE ON GASOLINE. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER WHO ADVISED HER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS STUCK IN V-8 AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO MISFIRE. THE 8 LIFTERS, MANIFOLD, AND ALL OF THE GASKETS SURROUNDING THEM WERE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.

I OWN A 2007 CHEVY TAHOE WITH ABOUT 46000 MILES. ABOUT THREE WEEKS AGO THE FUEL GAUGE BEGAN TO MALFUNCTION AND READ INACCURATE FUEL LEVELS. I CALLED TWO OF OUR LOCAL DEALERS AND WAS TOLD BY ONE THAT THE MALFUNCTION WAS CAUSED BY A FAULTY UNIT INSIDE OF THE TANK. I WAS TOLD THAT IT WOULD BE ABOUT A 400.00 REPAIR. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THE MALFUNCTIONS WERE WIDE SPREAD, AND THEY HAD BEEN MAKING MANY WARR REPAIRS FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH ONLINE I WAS AMAZED TO SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH OUT OF WARR GM VEHICLES. CONSIDERING THE WIDE SPREAD PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL GAUGES I WOULD HOPE THAT GM WOULD VOLUNTARILY ISSUE A RECALL AND MAKE THE COSTLY REPAIR, EVEN FOR OUT OF WARR VEHICLES. *TR
I AM WRITING TO ADVISE A COMPLAINT REGARDING OUR 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE LTZ DOOR HANDLES. IN APRIL 2011, THE OUTSIDE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HANDLE CAME PARTIALLY UNATTACHED FROM THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE. THE HANDLE CAME LOOSE ONLY ON ONE SIDE (THE FAR LEFT) LEAVING IT ATTACHED FROM ONLY THE FAR RIGHT. THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED TO THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR PASSENGER WITHIN THE LAST WEEK. THAT IS 2 HANDLES IN 2 MONTHS. MY 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER PINCHED HER FINGER IN THE UNATTACHED SPACE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO OPEN THE DOOR. I HAVE TAKEN OUR VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY ARE CHARGING $172 PER HANDLE FOR THE REPAIRS. VEHICLE IS A 2007 WITH ONLY 25,000 MILES. *KB
I HAVE TWO PROBLEMS TO REPORT FIRST MY GAS PEDAL STICKS TO FLOOR IF I TURN MY FLOOR MAT UPSIDE DOWN WHEN MY SHOES ARE DIRTY GAS PEDAL CATCHES AND STICKS TO FLOOR UNDER ACCELERATION VERY SCARY AND UNSAFE. SECOND PROBLEM IS MY DASH CRACKED ABOVE MY PASSENGER AIR BAG AND I AM AFRAID IF IT DEPLOYS THE BROKEN DASH WILL COME OFF WITH AIR BAG AND HIT PASSENGER IN FACE CAUSING INJURY OR WORSE. I RECEIVED ABOUT A 1 INCH CUT/GASH ON THE PALM OF MY HAND DUE TO PEELING 'CHROME' ON THE INTERIOR DRIVERS DOOR HANDLE OF A 2007 CHEVY TAHOE THAT I PURCHASED LESS THAN A MONTH AGO. THE 'CHROME' IS PEELING ON AT LEAST TWO OF THE 4 INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES. I HAVE SEARCHED NUMEROUS SITES, AND NOTICED MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS, BUT THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL ISSUED. *TR
2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE LTZ DOOR HANDLES HAVE BEEN REPLACED AT LEAST ONCE AND NOW GOING ON TO THE SECOND SET. THESE ARE POORLY MADE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES. *TR
MY DASH IS CRACKING IN TWO PLACES ABOVE MY AIRBAGS. THE CRACKS ARE CAUSING MY DASH TO BULGE. IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT NUMEROUS 2007 TAHOE'S AND YUKON'S ALL HAVE DASH CRACKS IN THE SAME AREAS. I HAVE CONTACTED GM ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY HELP. HI, I OWN A 2007 CHEVROLET LS TAHOE AND MY CONCERN IS THAT MY FRONT DASH HAS DEVELOPED A CRACK ABOUT 8" ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE INSTRUMENTATION CLUSTER, THE GIANT CRACK HAS STARTED TO APPEAR TO BE GAPING OPEN, AND IT'S STARTING TO SAG, AND HAS ALSO CRACKED ON THE ABOVE THE TOP DRIVER SIDE DASH AIR BAG, , AT THE TOP CENTER DASH AREA JUST ABOVE THE PASSENGER RIGHT SIDE AIR BAG , BUT IT'S 2 INDIVIDUAL CRACKS. I ALWAYS HAVE PARKED MOST OF THE MAJORITY OF THE TIME IN MY GARAGE OR I TRY TO FIND SHADED AREAS TO PARK.
