MY 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE WILL OFTEN SHOW THAT I HAVE MORE THAN A QUARTER TANK OF FUEL, BUT WILL SUDDENLY STALL. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME, BUT RARELY DO I LET THE TANK DROP BELOW A QUARTER DUE TO THE ISSUE. IT HAS STALLED OUT BOTH IN MY AREA NEIGHBORHOOD AS WELL AS ON THE HIGHWAY. ALSO, THE DIGITAL READOUT SHOWING ESTIMATED MILEAGE LEFT, HAS SHOWN ABOVE 100 MILES WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLS. THE ONLY WAY TO RESTART THE VEHICLE IS TO ADD 2 GALLONS OF FUEL OR MORE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE EQUIPPED WITH A WEBASTO HOLLANDIA TVS 900. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SUN ROOF WAS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 10E038000 (VISIBILITY:SUN ROOF ASSEMBLY). THE CONTACT WAS ATTEMPTING TO HAVE THE SUN ROOF REPAIRED FOR APPROXIMATELY FIVE MONTHS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE WITHIN FOUR WEEKS. THE PARTS NECESSARY TO REPAIR THE SUN ROOF WERE NEVER DELIVERED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS AGAIN MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE DOOR HANDLES KEEP COMING OFF. I'M ABOUT TO REPLACE THE 4TH ONE. *TR
THERE WERE MULTIPLE CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD AND GM REPLACED AT NO CHARGE WHILE VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THE NEW DASH DEVELOPED ANOTHER CRACK...THIS TIME IT IS A FAIRLY LARGE PIECE THAT HAS SPLIT AND COULD FALL OUT. I NOTIFIED GM AND THEY OFFERED TO REPLACE IT IF I WOULD PAY A $200 DEDUCTIBLE. I REFUSED AS THE INITIAL DASH PROBLEM WAS IDENTIFIED WHILE STILL UNDER WARRANTY PERIOD. THE FACT THAT IT HAS CRACKED AGAIN WHILE BEING NO MORE THAN 2 YEARS OLD IS INDICATIVE OF A MATERIAL DEFECT ON THEIR PART. I HAVE "NEVER" HAD A DASH IN ANY VEHICLES I HAVE OWNED (FORD, NISSAN, MAZDA) CRACK EXCEPT FOR GM. IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE CONFIDENCE THAT PIECES OF A GM DASH WILL NOT FLY INSIDE THE CABIN OF A VEHICLE AND STRIKE SOMEONE SHOULD THERE BE AN ACCIDENT IN THE FUTURE. THERE ARE WELL OVER 200 PEOPLE ON FACEBOOK COMPLAINING ABOUT THE INFERIOR DASH QUALITY OF SOME GM VEHICLES AND ARE FRUSTRATED THAT GM HAS NOT CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. THIS ISSUE ALSO MEANS THAT I TAKE A FINANCIAL HIT SHOULD I TRY TO SELL THE CAR BECAUSE OF A FAULTY DASH. GM IS WRONG. *JB
LIFTGATE GLASS FELL ON HEAD WHEN OPENED. APPEARS WEAK BRACKET AT TOP OF GLASS IS INSUFFICIENT IN QUALITY, CONSIDERING LIFTGATE GLASS IS RARELY OPENED/CLOSED. MILEAGE AT INCIDENT WAS 58,102...VEHICLE IS 3 1/2 YEARS OLD. *TR
TWO EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES BROKE OFF IN MY HAND IN THE PAST YEAR. SEEMS TO BE MORE OF A PROBLEM WITH THE CHROME ONES THAN THE OTHER TYPES. *TR
2007 TAHOE. INTERMEDIATE STEERING SHAFT CLUNK NOISE. THIS NOISE IS A NUISANCE AND DOESN'T FEEL SAFE WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THE PROBLEM HAPPENS INTERMEDIATELY SO IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO DIAGNOSE. GM NEEDS TO RECALL THIS PROBLEM AND REPLACE THE SHAFT INSTEAD OF DOING TEMPORARY GREASE JOBS. *TR
OUTER DOOR HANDLES FREQUENTLY BREAK SOMETIMES COMING OFF COMPLETELY. THESE HANDLES PROVIDE BEST EMERGENCY ACCESS TO SMALL CHILDREN IN REAR CHILD SAFETY SEATS. LACK OF RELIABLE ACCESS POSSES SIGNIFICANT SAFETY RISK. *TR

THE CHROME PLATED DRIVER SIDE DOOR HANDLE IS PEELING. WHEN THE PLATING STARTS TO PEEL THE CHROME IS VERY SHARPE AND CUTS LIKE A RAZOR. I HAVE CUT MY FINGERS THREE SEPERATE TIMES. THE DEALERSHIP WANTS APPROX. $100 TO REPLACE THE CHROME PLATING. IN OTHER WORDS, TO REPLACE A STICKER. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE AND VERY HAZARDOUS. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE AND OVER THE PAST 3 MONTHS, THE DOOR HANDLES HAVE BEGUN TO COME LOOSE AND PULL OFF THE VEHICLE. I'VE DONE RESEARCH ONLINE AND I'VE FOUND THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM. THE PIECE IS MADE OF PLASTIC AND SNAPS INTO PLACE AND THUS HAS BECOME LOOSE. ALL 4 OF MY DOORS ARE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM AND WE'VE BEEN TOLD THAT GM IS NOT COVERING THIS UNDER WARRANTY (I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AS WELL) BECAUSE IT IS CONSIDERED A "TRIM" PIECE FOR THE VEHICLE. THIS IS ANOTHER REASON WHY I WON'T BUY ANOTHER GM CAR AND HOPE THEY FAIL NEXT TIME. I CAN'T BELIEVE THE GOVERNMENT BAILED THEM OUT AND I WOULD LIKE A RETURN OF MY PORTION OF TAXES GIVEN TO THEM FOR THEIR IGNORANCE, LACK OF QUALITY AND LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PLASTIC EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES WORE PREMATURELY AND FRACTURED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER DOOR HANDLES HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED ON THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 41,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

2 COMPLAINTS 1 IS DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO HONOR A RECALL WE NEVER RECIVED ON CHROME INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES. SECONDLY THE FRONT DASH STARTED CRACKING SHORTLY AFTER WARRANTY EXPIRED NOW IT IS CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES ESPECIALLY AROUND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. IMPO THAT IF THE AIR BAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DID GO OFF. SHRAPNEL FROM THE PLASTIC DASH WOULD BE DANGEROUS GM HAS HAD SEVERAL COMPLAINTS AND NO ONE HAS ADDRESSED THIS
I WAS AT A STOP LIGHT, AND THE PROBLEM HAPPENED UNEXPECTEDLY WHEN I PRESSED ON THE GAS WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN. MY CAR MOVED FORWARD JUST SLIGHTLY, JERKED HARD TO A COMPLETE STOP, AND IT WOULDN'T DRIVE ANYMORE. I WAS ABLE TO GET PUSHED TO THE SIDE IN NEUTRAL, BUT NEEDED A TOW TO THE DEALER. THE ONLY WORKING GEARS WERE R, 3, 2, AND 1. BRINGING IT INTO THE DEALER, THEY CONFIRMED THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION. I HAD DONE SOME RESEARCH WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND NOTICED THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, ALL IN THE SAME TYPE OF SCENARIO WHERE THEY WERE AT A COMPLETE STOP. SECOND ISSUE, NOT NEARLY AS MAJOR IS THE STABILITRAK. THE LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF CONSTANTLY, PRETTY MUCH FROM THE FIRST YEAR I'VE HAD THE CAR. AND LASTLY, THE INTERIOR CHROME DOOR HANDLES HAVE ALL PEELED OFF AND CUT ME AND MY PASSENGERS SEVERAL TIMES. THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAVE COME LOOSE, THE FUEL POCKET IS COMPLETELY BROKEN, AND AFTER A HEAVY RAIN, WATER GETS TRAPPED INSIDE THE SHELL OF THE BACK DOOR AND SLOSHES AROUND WHILE I'M DRIVING. I HAVE TO REMOVE THE BOTTOM LINING OF THE DOOR FOR THE TRAPPED WATER TO BE RELEASED. *KB

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH THE SIDE AIR BAGS OF BOTH THE FRONT AND REAR OF THE VEHICLE DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY CRASH NOR DID HE HIT ANY DEBRIS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THEY INFORMED HIM OF THE REPAIRS AND THAT HE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT AN INSPECTOR WOULD INSPECT THE VEHICLE BUT DID NOT SAY WHEN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY AN INSURANCE ADJUSTER WHO ADVISED HER TO CONTACT THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 64,000.

I HAVE SEEN SERVICE BULLETINS THAT INDICATE THERE ARE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH OTHER ELECTRICAL PARTS THAT MAY EFFECT THE CRUISE CONTROL. WHAT OPTIONS DO I HAVE? *TR
MY 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE LTZ HAS CHROME DOOR HANDLES WHICH ARE ALL COMING LOOSE. TWO OF THEM ARE SO LOOSE THAT THEY ARE ABOUT TO BREAK OFF. THE OTHER TWO LOOK AS IF IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME. I OWN A 2007 CHEVY TAHOE. ONE MORNING WHILE DRIVING, I APPLIED MY BRAKES AND CHANGED LANES TO AVOID GETTING HIT. MY SIDE CURTAIN AIR BAGS DEPLOYED WITHOUT ANY EXPLAINATION. I CALLED GM TO REPORT THE INCIDENT, THEY SENT AN INVESTIGATOR WHO CAME OUT THE VERY NEXT DAY TO INSPECT MY VEHICLE. HE TOOK PICTURES OF MY VEHICLE AND DOWNLOADED THE SENSOR INFORMATION. THE GM MANAGER TOLD ME THAT THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AS THEY SHOULD HAVE IN AN EVENT OF A ROLLOVER. IT WAS EVIDENT THAT THE ROLLOVER NEVER HAPPENED AS THERE WAS NO OTHER DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE. GM DENIED ANY FAULT AND DENIED MY CLAIM TO GET THE AIR BAGS AND MY SEAT BELTS FIXED. I CONTACTED MY INSURANCE COMPANY, WHO ALSO INSPECTED MY VEHICLE AND REPLIED THAT THE CAR HAD A MECHANICAL MALFUNCTION AND THAT GM SHOULD BE LIABLE FOR MY DAMAGES. GM HAS CLOSED MY CLAIM AND WILL NOT TALK TO ME ANY MORE. GM HAS DONE NOTHING TO CORRECT THIS FAILURE IN MY OPINION. MY VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER GM EXTENDED VEHICLE WARRANTY AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO FIX IT UNDER THAT CLAIM EITHER. *TR
THE CLUSTER READINGS TURNED OFF FOR A PERIOD OF TIME WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN AND NOT ABLE TO SEE ANY SPEED NOR GAUGES READOUTS DURING A PERIOD OF OVER HOUR, STOPPED FOR GAS AND THE VEHICLE DID NOT STARTED FOR 10 MINS ALL CLUSTER GAUGES NOT READING AT ALL BUT ABLE TO TURN THE LIGHTS/RADIO ETC. *TR

I HAVE A 2007 TAHOE AND THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED IN TWO PLACES. ONE IS ABOVE THE STEARING WHEEL AND THE OTHER IS ABOVE THE GLOVE BOX ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. IVE ALWAYS USED A WINDSHIELD PROTECTOR WHEN PARKED OUTSIDE AND THE TRUCK IS PARKED IN MY GARAGE EVERY NIGHT. THIS SEEMS TO BE A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE AND CHEVROLET NEEDS TO CORRECT IT!
PEELING METAL PLATING ON THE DRIVER'S DOOR HANDLE IS CUTTING MY HAND WHEN I OPEN THE DOOR; I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP, BUT THEY SAY THAT THE VIN NUMBER OF MY TAHOE IS NOT COVERED BY THE PREVIOUS RECALL. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 CHEVY TAHOE AND BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAVE BEGAN TO PEEL AND ARE VERY SHARP. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE AND THE FORENSIC INVESTIGATOR INFORMED THAT THE FIRE WAS RELATED TO A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 10V240000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS). THE CONTACT DID NOT RECEIVE A RECALL NOTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCED THE CONSEQUENCE OF A FIRE WHICH WAS MENTIONED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PREVIOUSLY UNDER THE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 08V441000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM).THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THEY ADVISED THAT AN INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATOR WOULD INSPECT THE VEHICLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 56,000.
DASH BOARD CRACK. THE CRACK APPEARS TO HAVE COMPROMISED THE DASHBOARD ALL THE WAY TO THE PASSENGER-SIDE AIRBAG AND A MUCH LARGER CRACK ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. IF SOMETHING WERE TO HAPPEN...I WAS IN A WRECK, AND THE AIRBAG WERE TO DEPLOY...THERE'S SHARDS OF DASH GOING THROUGH THE CAB. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER ON THIS 2007 TAHOE.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING IN THE PARK POSITION, THE ROOF-MOUNTED AIR BAGS IN THE FRONT SUDDENLY DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO SENT AN INVESTIGATOR OUT TO PERFORM A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE INVESTIGATOR CONCLUDED THAT THE AIR BAGS DID DEPLOY WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK. THE CONTACT NO LONGER WANTED THE VEHICLE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 48,286.
THE TOP PART OF THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKS ACROSS THE ENTIRE TOP SPANNING FROM DRIVER TO PASSENGER SIDE.
2007 TAHOE LTZ. MY TAHOE CAUGHT ON FIRE AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY ON 9/10/10. I SAW SMOKE IN THE BACK OF MY SUV AS I WAS DRIVING. I PULLED OVER AND LOOKED IN THE BACK OF THE SUV. FLAMES WERE COMING FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE BACK END OF THE AUTO. IT TOOK THE FIREMEN 20 MINUTES TO PUT THE FIRE OUT. MY INSURANCE COMPANY IS SAYING IT MUST BE MECHANICAL, WHICH THEY START TO TELL ME THAT TYPE OF FIRE IS NOT COVERED AND THEY ARE NOT COVERING DAMAGES, WHICH THE SUV IS TOTALED. BUT THE FIRE WAS ONLY IN THE REAR OF THE SUV. I'M SURE THIS WILL BE A BATTLE! OTHER THINGS ARE MY WINDSHIELD ALSO COMES ON RANDOM TIMES WITH THE WATER SPRAYING WHENEVER IT WANTS. DOOR HANDLES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HANDLE WAS SHARP AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. LETTERING ON BUTTONS DOESN'T SEEM TO LAST. LOT'S OF SEAT BELT PROBLEMS. *TR
I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE AS THE FRONT DASHBOARD HAS SPLIT OPEN AND CRACKED IN MULTIPLE PLACES. THEY APPEAR TO BE STRESS FRACTURES, OR WEAKNESSES IN THE WAY THE DASHBOARD IS MANUFACTURED. I HAVE LOOKED AT THE INTERNET, AND THERE ARE MANY OTHERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE, WHERE THEIR DASHBOARDS DEVELOP STRESS FRACTURES AND SPLIT OPEN. THE DASHBOARD HAS TWO MAIN PROBLEM AREAS; ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AROUND THE AIR BAG OPENING, AND THEN AGAIN OVER THE "HUMP" THAT COMES UP AND OVER THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. THIS CRACK IN PARTICULAR IS VERY BAD, WITH THESE CRACKS SPLITTING OFF IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. THE DASHBOARD IS NOW VERY WEAK AND HAS NO STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY. I WOULD NOT FEEL SAFE IF THIS VEHICLE WAS IN A CRASH, AS THE DASHBOARD WOULD PROVIDE NO SUPPORT TO PROTECT OCCUPANTS, AND THE PLASTIC PARTS OF THE DASHBOARD WOULD GO FLYING THROUGHOUT THE CABIN. CHEVROLET NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS AND REPLACE THE DASHBOARD. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR, REAR LEFT DOOR AND PASSENGER FRONT DOOR EXTERIOR HANDLES FAILED. IF THE DOOR HANDLES WERE PULLED TOO HARD, THEY MOVED OUT OF PLACE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO ADVISED HER TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. LIKE THOUSANDS OF OTHER CHEVY TAHOE, SUBRUBAN AND SILVERADO OWNERS, I HAVE SIGNIFICANT AND EXTENSIVE CRACKING OF THE FRONT DASHBOARD, ESPECIALLY OVER THE INSTRUMENT CONSOLE, DUE TO AN ENGINEERING DESIGN FLAW IN THE 2007-2013 MODELS. IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT, THE DASHBOARD WILL CRACK AND SPLINTER, CAUSING PLASTIC SHARDS TO BE DIRECTED AT THE OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE AT TIME OF IMPACT, POSSIBLY RUPTURING DEPLOYED AIRBAGS, RENDERING THEM USELESS.

I HAVE A 2007 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ WITH 60K MILES ON IT NOW. MY GIRLFRIEND NORMALLY RIDES WITH ME AND HAS CUT HER HAND ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS NOW ON MY INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE THAT IS PEELING. IT STARTED WITH THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR HANDLE, AND NOW ALL 4 DOOR HANDLES ARE PEELING ON THE CAR AND THE METAL THAT IS STILL ON POSES A SERIOUS CUT RISK. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND SO FAR THEY TOLD ME THEY CAN REPLACE THE PARTS BUT AT A COST AND LABOR TO ME, NOT COVERING ANY PORTION. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS IT SEEMS TO BE A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH MY TYPE OF CAR MODEL AND I FEEL LIKE GM SHOULD DEAL WITH THIS CRAPPY PART AND REPLACE FOR FREE. *TR
DOOR HANDLES ARE PEELING CHROME COVERING OFF OF INSIDE DOOR HANDLES CAUSING A PERSON PULLING ON THE HANDLE TO EXIT VEHICLE TO CUT THEIR FINGERS ON THE SHARP EDGE OF THE CHROME. *TR
