TAKATA RECALL; MY VEHICLE HAS AN AIRBAG THAT HAS BEEN RECALLED. IF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYS, THE PERSON SITTING IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WILL MOST LIKELY BE INJURED OR KILLED. GM REFUSES TO PROVIDE LOANER VEHICLES TO CUSTOMERS. WHY? THE DEALERSHIP WHO SOLD ME THE VEHICLE, ED MORSE SAWGRASS CHEVROLET, 14401 W SUNRISE BLVD. SUNRISE, FL 33323, REFUSES TO PROVIDE ME WITH A LOANER VEHICLE AND REFUSES TO PROVIDE ME WITH THEIR GM REPRESENTATIVES' CONTACT INFORMATION. WHY AREN'T DEALERSHIPS' BEING FORCED TO PROVIDE CUSTOMERS WITH LOANER VEHICLES INSTEAD OF SITTING BACK, DOING NOTHING AND LETTING INNOCENT PEOPLE GET HURT OR KILLED BY FAULTY CAR PARTS?

TAKATA RECALL - NOTIFIED 18 MONTHS AGO, LOCAL DEALERS DO NOT HAVE PARTS TO REPAIR. WE WANT TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE BUT HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. AFTER HAVING THE OIL CHANGED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AND THE STABILITRAK INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 183,544.
MY SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON
TAKATA RECALL: I RECEIVED NOTICE OF THIS AIRBAG RECALL IN MAY 2016. MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN UNABLE TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE. THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH AND NOW THE AIRBAG MANUFACTURER HAS FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. I FEAR THAT I WILL BE STUCK WITH DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS WITH NO REMEDY FROM ANY MANUFACTURER. THAT LEAVES ME FACING THE OPTION OF CONTINUING TO DRIVE A POTENTIALLY DEADLY VEHICLE OR BUYING A NEW VEHICLE WHICH WILL CAUSE ME SIGNIFICANT FINANCIAL HARM.
TAKATA RECALL . GM HAS NO RESOLUTION FOR THIS BUT THE OPPORTUNITY TO FILE A CLAIM ENDS 2017. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE AIRBAG WE HAVE CAUSES DAMAGE AFTER 2017 SINCE THERE IS NO FIX FOR THIS RECALL AS OF YET? THEY SHOULD EITHER EXTEND THE OPPORTUNITY TO FILE A DAMAGE CLAIM OR SPEED UP THE RESOLUTION OF THE RECALL. THE POTENTIAL FOR COMPLICATIONS FROM THESE AIRBAGS STILL EXISTS.
"TAKATA RECALL" I RECEIVED A NOTICE IN THE MAIL A WHILE A GO AND CALLED MY CHEVROLET AND THEY INFORMED ME I WOULD GET A CALL TO TAKE MY VEHICLE IN AND I NEVER RECEIVED NO CONTACT. TWO WEEKS AGO I RECEIVED ANOTHER NOTICE AND I CONTACTED SALINAS CHEVROLET AND THEY SEEM NOT TO CARE AND THEY WONT SCHEDULE ME AN APPOINTMENT TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE, IM VERY WORRIED AS THIS VEHICLE IS MY FAMILY CAR AND MY DAUGHTER AND MY WIFE AND SELF DO NOT FEEL SAFE.

THE DEALER (CLARK CHEVROLET, 105 N DIVISION ST, CAYUGA, IN 47928, (765) 551-4487) DID NOT GIVE A SPECIFIC DATE FOR WHEN THE PART WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE DEALER STATED MONTHS AGO THAT THE CONTACT WOULD NEED TO WAIT TO RECEIVE A SECOND LETTER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND COULD NOT PROVIDE A REASONABLE DATE FOR WHEN THE VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT WAS NOT EXPERIENCING A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
I AM STARTING TO GET VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS RECALL. ITS BEEN OPEN FOR MORE THAN A YEAR NOW AND THE SAFETY OF MY DRIVING EXPERIENCE I FEEL IS BEING COMPROMISED DUE TO MY AIR BAG SAFETY LIGHT COMING ON CONSTANTLY ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIPS THAT I CALL IS SAYING THAT THE PART OR THE REMEDY HAS NOT YET BEEN COMPLETED THEREFORE THEY CANNOT PERFORM ANY ACTIONS ON MY VEHICLE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED DAY CHEVROLET (1600 GOLDEN MILE HIGHWAY, MONROEVILLE, PA 15146; 724-519-4614) AND WAS INFORMED THAT CHEVROLET HAD NOT INDICATED WHEN THE REMEDY WOULD BE AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL. CONCERNED WITH SMALL CHILDREN THAT THIS DEFECT COULD CAUSE HARM TO MY FAMILY. I WANT THE AIRBAG REPLACED.

I RECEIVED NOTICE FROM TAKATA AND CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO GET THE AIRBAGS REPLACED AND THEY SAID AT THIS TIME THERE IS A KNOWN RECALL BUT GM HAS NOT DECIDED HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM,
TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE RECEIVED MULTIPLE WARNINGS ABOUT THE DANGEROUS HAZARD OF THESE PARTS AND AM URGED TO GET THEM REPLACED. ONCE AGAIN I CALLED MY LOCAL SERVICE SHOP AND THEIR ANSWER (ONCE AGAIN, YEARS LATER!) IS THAT GM DOES NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT PARTS. IS THERE SOMETHING YOU CAN DO TO PUT PRESSURE ON THEM? I'D HATE TO HAVE SOMETHING HORRIFIC HAPPEN IN THE MEANTIME AND GM WOULD NOT LIKE THE LAWSUIT THAT FOLLOWS SHOULD SOMETHING OCCUR WHEN THEY HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING ON THIS ISSUE FOR YEARS.
I GOT A NOTICE IN THE MAIL STATING THAT MY CAR WAS UNDER A TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL. I CALLED STEVE RAYMEN CHEVROLET IN SMYRNA GA. I SPOKE WITH SERVICE AND GAVE ALL INFORMATION AND THEY SAID THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING THIS DEFECTIVE AND RECALLED PART ON MY VEHICLE FIXED??
TAKATA AIRBAG RECALL TAKATA HAS NOT OFFERED A FIX. MY VEHICLE IS OPERATING WITH A MAJOR SAFETY DEFECT. NO ISSUES YET BUT WHO KNOWS WHEN....
TAKATA RECALL - MY TAHOE HAS BEEN UNDER RECALL FOR OVER A YEAR NOW AND MY SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON IN THE DASH. I HAVE CONTACTED DUBLIN CHEVROLET FOR THE REPAIRS AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. I HAVE AFRAID THAT IF I DO HAVE AN ACCIDENT THAT THE AIR BAGS MAY NOT WORK OR MAY EVEN GO OFF WITH NO ACCIDENT OCCURRING. I FEEL THIS COULD BE LIFE THREATENING AND WANT THIS TO BE CORRECTED IMMEDIATELY AS I HAVE NO INTENTION OF SELLING MY TAHOE IN THE NEAR FUTURE. I HAVE GRANDCHILDREN THAT RIDE WITH ME ( ALL OF WHOM ARE OVER AGE 12) AND I FEAR FOR THEIR SAFETY AS WELL. I AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH THE WAY THAT CHEVROLET, GENERAL MOTORS, OR MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP IS HANDLING THIS SITUATION. I HAVE HAD THE RECALL NOTICE SINCE JULY OF 2016 AND THE AIR BAG LIGHT HAS BEEN ON SINCE BEFORE THEN. MY DASH HAS ALSO CRACKED AND BROKEN IN SEVERAL PLACES NEXT TO WHERE THE PASSENGER AIR BAG IS LOCATED IN THE DASH AND I THINK THIS MAY BE CONNECTED TO THE AIR BAG SITUATION.
TAKATA AIRBAGS. I CALLED WILMES CHEVY AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WERE NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG OR TAKATA INFLATOR. ALSO CALLED WILMES SUPERSTORE OVER A YEAR AGO AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. WHAT DO I DO NEXT?
"TAKATA RECALL" THE DEALERSHIP DOES NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO REPLACE MY AIRBAGS WITHOUT CHARGE TO ME. IF I WANT TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR MYSELF THEY WILL REPLACE WITH TAKATA PARTS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS TO REPLACE DEFECTIVE PART WITH THE SAME COSTLY DEFECTIVE PART. WHY ARE YOU SENDING OUT RECALL NOTICES WITHOUT THE DEALERSHIPS HAVING REPLACEMENT PARTS.
TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO HAVE AIRBAGS REPLACED AT AUTONATION IN GILBERT THREE TIMES AND HAVE BEEN ADVISED ALL THREE TIMES THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE PARTS TO ADDRESS THE RECALL. I CONTINUE TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS THAT THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE; HOWEVER, I HAVE YET TO DO SO BASED ON "NO PARTS" BEING AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL - THE SERVICE AIRBAG WARNING IS ON MY VEHICLE. I RECEIVED A CARD IN THE MAIL STATING THE THERE IS A RECALL AND I SHOULD CONTACT THE NEAREST DEALER IMMEDIATELY TO HAVE REPAIRED FOR FREE. THE DEALER SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS AND TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE 800 NUMBER. I WAS TOLD BY THEM THAT THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT PARTS AT THIS TIME, NO RENTALS AVAILABLE AND CHEVROLET SAYS IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE EVEN THOUGH THE SERVICE AIRBAG IS LIT UP AND A RECALL HAS BEEN SENT. AFTER READING THE WARNING ABOUT THE AIRBAGS I AM UNCOMFORTABLE DRIVING MY CAR AND NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE OR HAVE AN ACCEPTABLE SOLUTION.

NOW RECEIVING USPS MAIL WHERE MY INFORMATION HAS BEEN PASSED OVER TO A PRIVATE COMPANY TO WHICH I AM RECEIVING INFORMATION OF A BANKRUPTCY FILING AND MY RIGHTS ARE BEING TIMED WITH A PROBLEMATIC ISSUE CONCERNING MY VEHICLE (RECEIVED TIME LIMIT NOTICE 10/21/17). OVER A YEAR NOW, I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO FIND OUT ABOUT A RECALL BUT IT IS STILL STATED AS "STATUS: RECALL INCOMPLETE. REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE" (NHTSA RECALL NUMBER: 16V381, MANUFACTURE RECALL NUMBER 2049151). NOW I RECEIVED "IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE" WHERE OWNERS HAVE BEEN GIVEN A DEADLINE OF DECEMBER 27, 2017. YET, THE STATUS IS STILL "INCOMPLETE". I AM NOT WASTING MY TIME AT A DEALERSHIP TO RIP ME OFF WHEN I STILL HAVE NO STATUS OF RECALL TO STAY IN CONTROL OF THE SITUATION. NOW, DUE TO THE ALLOWANCE OF BANKRUPTCY FILING, MY PATIENCE OF HANDLING THIS SITUATION IS COMING TO AN END AND I DO NOT WANT TO WAIT UNTIL I AM INJURED BY A KNOWN FAULTY PART IN MY VEHICLE. THIS NEEDS TO BE REMEDY SWIFTLY AND THE STATUS NEEDS TO BE UPDATED SO THAT OWNERS HAVE A WAY OF DEALING WITH THE SITUATION WITHOUT A DEALERSHIP TRYING TO STEAL MORE MONEY FROM OWNERS WHO HAVE BEEN PUT IN A POSSIBLY HARMFUL SITUATION.

TAKATA RECALL 10/19/17 CALLED CHEVROLET CENTER AND SPOKE TO SERVICE MANAGER, MIKE GARDNER, WHO SAID HE COULD DO NOTHING ABOUT THIS AS HE HAS NO INFORMATION FROM GM.
TAKATA RECALL , I WAS TOLD THAT MY RECALL WAS DOMENT AND THAT AS OF NOW NO REPLACEMENT, THIS IS NOT VERY GOOD KNOWING I HAVE A TAKATA IN MY TAHOE.

I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET MY AIRBAG REPLACED SINE I RECIEVED MY LETTER IN MAY 2016. I CONTACTED SEVERAL DEALERS AND THEY CLAIM THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS IN AND DON'T SHOW A RECALL FOR THIS MATTER. I CONTACTED THEM AGAIN TODAY NOVEMBER 1ST. OF 2017. I'M STILL DRIVING THE VEHICLE BUT AFRAID IT MAY GO OFF FOR NO REASON AND RESULT TO A MAJOR ACCIDENT. I RECIEVED A LETTER FROM TK HOLDINGS INC. ON 10/18/2017 AND STILL GETTING NOWHERE

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED REFERENCE NUMBER: 8/3448983846. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REMEDY WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 143,830. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
DEFECTIVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - THIS GAUGE CLUSTER HAS BEEN NOTORIOUS FOR BEING DEFECTIVE IN A GREAT MANY OF GM VEHICLES. I HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET TO FIX THE CLUSTER IN MY 2005 TAHOE BECAUSE GM WOULDN'T FIX THE ISSUE. THAT SHOULD NEVER BE THE CASE. WHEN THESE CLUSTERS FAIL THEY CAN LEAD TO MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF INJURIES DUE TO IMPROPER READINGS WHICH DRIVERS DEPEND ON TO MAKE CORRECT DRIVING DECISIONS. THE U.S. GOVERNMENT SHOULD MANDATE THAT ANY DEVICE PLACED INTO A VEHICLE WHICH GIVES DRIVERS INFORMATION FOR WHICH THEY DEPEND ON ACCURACY TO OPERATE THAT VEHICLE SHOULD BE COVERED FOR REPLACEMENT NO MATTER THE AGE OF THE VEHICLE AS THIS IS IN ITS SIMPLEST TERMS A MATTER OF SAFETY. SEVERAL PHONE CALLS AND 1 TRIP TO THE DEALERSHIP INDICATES THIS IS A "WEAR AND TEAR" STANCE THE COMPANY IS TAKING WITH THIS ISSUE. I FOUND OUT MY CLUSTER WAS DEFECTIVE WHEN I RECEIVED A SPEEDING TICKET WHEN MY GAUGE CLEARLY INDICATED A PROPER SPEED LIMIT ON CRUISE CONTROL. THE OFFICER STATED THAT I WAS GOING 17 MPH FASTER THAN WHAT WAS ALLOWED. THIS WAS MY FIRST TICKET SO I WAS LET OFF WITH A WARNING BUT TO HAVE MY VEHICLE CHECKED IF THAT WAS TO BE MY REASONING. DEFECTIVE DEVICES SUCH AS THIS CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE AS THE NORM.
UNDER NUMEROUS CIRCUMSTANCES, THE "SERVICE STABLILITRAK AND SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL " APPEARS IN THE DASH MESSAGE CENTER ALONG WITH AUDIBLE BEEPS. SHORTLY AFTER THIS HAPPENS THE VEHICLE ENGINE GOES INTO LIMP MODE WITH LIMITED POWER AND SPEED. I HAVE BEEN ON INTERSTATES WITH HEAVY TRAFFIC AND THIS BECOMES CHALLENGING TO REMEDY ASAP AND GET OUT OF THE WAY. THE ORIGINAL PART SUGGESTED WAS THE THROTTLE BODY, THIS WAS REPLACED AND THE PROBLEM SEEMED TO GO AWAY FOR 12-16 MONTH. THE PROBLEM HAS COME BACK AND THE THROTTLE BODY IS NOT SUSPECT THIS TIME. THE DEALER BASCIALLY TROUBLE SHOOTS THE PROBLEM WITH PARTS.

CANNON MOTORS (LOCATED AT 100 THACKER LOOP, OXFORD, MS 38655, (662) 638-0301) EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
CRACKED DASH ISSUE. 3 CRACKS EXTENDING THE LENGTH OF THE DASH PANEL AND ONE OF THOSE CRACKS IS ADJACENT TO THE AIRBAG ON PASSENGER SIDE.
TL* THE CONTACT COMMITED TO A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE AT AN AUCTION. WHILE TEST DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT ANY SPEED, THE CHECK ENGINE AND REDUCE ENGINE POWER WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 156,000.

I AM CONCERNED ABOUT A MANUFACTURING DEFECT IN THE DASH OF TAHOES. I HAVE READ NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ONLINE FROM OTHER CHEVY TAHOE OWNERS OF VARIOUS YEARS WITH SAME EXACT ISSUE. THE DASH IS CRACKING AT THE AIRBAG LOCATIONS. AT WHAT POINT DOES THIS BECOME A SAFETY ISSUE? IS IT ONLY AFTER AN INJURY OR DEATH OCCURS? THERE IS ALREADY A RECALL ON THE TAKA AIRBAG INFLATOR BUT WE REMAIN ON A "LIST" FOR REPAIRS. ANY SAFETY ISSUE SHOULD NOT TAKE THAT LONG TO BE REPAIRED. THE CRACKING IN THE DASH AT THE LOCATIONS OF THE AIRBAGS SHOULD ALSO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY!

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED JACK SCHMITT CHEVROLET OF O'FALLON (LOCATED AT 127 REGENCY PARK, O'FALLON, IL 62269, (618) 589-2634) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. *BF *JB
I HAVE COMPLAINED TO DEALERSHIP OVER THE PAST YEAR THAT MY DASHBOARD ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND AROUND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG HAS BEEN CRACKING. THEY STATED THAT IF IT BEGINS TO CRACK AROUND AIRBAG, THAT IT COULD CAUSE A SAFETY CONCERN. IT HAS NOW CRACKED AROUND THE AIRBAG AND I'M CONCERNED THAT THIS COULD CAUSE A DISRUPTION IN AIRBAG/FLYING DEBRIS TOWARDS PASSENGER IF IT WERE TO DEPLOY (POSSIBLE SEVERE INJURY OR EVEN DEATH). THE DEALERSHIP STATED THERE ISN'T A RECALL FOR THIS AS IT'S COMMON FOR THIS TO HAPPEN IN GM VEHICLES BUT THAT IT'S A KNOWN ISSUE AND THAT SOMETIMES THEY WILL COVER THE COST.
THE PROBLEM IS STATED IN TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN PIP4568S & #10-06-01-008M THAT GM SENT OUT REGARDING AFN LIFTERS FAILING DUE TO OIL STARVATION. GM KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND SENT OUT THE INFORMATION ON HOW TO DIAGNOSE IT AND FIX IT. HOWEVER THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM IN THE 5.3L ENGINES AND A VERY EXPENSIVE PROBLEM! IN MY SITUATION IT CAUSED A SOAK PLUG AND THE SPARK PLUG HOUSING TO BLOW COMPLETELY OUT OF THE ENGINE! WHICH COULD HAVE INJURED SOMEONE OR CAUSED DAMAGE TO SOMETHING IF IT HAD GOTTEN OUT OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. I WAS ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY GOING 50 MPH WITH HIGH TRAFFIC. AS STATED THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND GM WON'T EVEN COVER ANY PORTION OF THE COST TO FIX IT! IN MY CASE I ONLY OWNED THE VEHICLE FOR 4 MONTHS AND HAD THIS HAPPEN. I AM NOW PAYING FOR A VEHICLE THAT I CAN BARELY DRIVE AND SHOULDNT BE DRIVING! AT ANY MOMENT THE WHOLE ENGINE COULD BLOW UP BUT I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO DRIVE IT UNTIL I HAVE THE $4000 TO FIX IT! GM SHOULD HAVE TO COVER REPAIRS OR AT LEAST A PORTION OF THE COST OF REPAIRS! I HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON THE WEB REGARDING THIS PROBLEM FROM OTHER OWNERS OF THE VEHICLES EFFECTED BY PIP4568S & #10-06-01-008M. YET GM WILL NOT HELP CONSUMERS IN ANY WAY AT ALL WITH THE EXPENSIVE COST OF THIS REPAIR! WITH THE AMOUNT OF COMPLAINTS I HAVE SEEN IT SHOULD BE A RECALL! THERE COULD BE OTHER SAFETY ISSUES THAT OTHER OWNERS COULD HAVE HAD ALSO. THIS KNOWN PROBLEM ALSO EFFECTS OTHER FUNCTIONS OF THE VEHICLE SUCH AS STABILITAK SYSTEM. WHEN THIS SYSTEM IS MALFUNCTIONING THE VEHICLE HITS BUMPS AND THROWS THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD MAKING STEERING THE VEHICLE VERY HARD TO CONTROL. THIS AN ACCIDENT COULD OCCUR.

CRACKING DASH. DASH IS BUSTING ON ITS OWN DUE TO NORMAL USE. I USE A SUNSHADE TO PROTECT IT EVERY DAY AND IT STILL IS FALLING APART. MANUFACTURER DEFECT.
I RECENTLY STARTED TO NOTICE AN ODOR COMING FROM THE AIR DUCTS, WHILE RUNNING MY AIR CONDITIONER. I CALLED UP A LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP, HOPING THEY MAY SCHEDULE ME FOR A SERVICING OF MY CABIN AIR FILTER. I CALLED THE PARTS DEPARTMENT, TO WHICH THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY DID, IN FACT, CARRY THE PARTS NEEDED (USING MY VIN). I SCHEDULED MY APPOINTMENT BUT STILL HAD A FEW QUESTIONS AND ASKED IF I MAY SPEAK WITH A SERVICE ADVISER/TECHNICIAN (IT TOOK ME A WEEK BEFORE I WAS CALLED BACK). I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO SPEAK WITH AN ADVISER THAT, AFTER SPEAKING WITH ONE OF THE TECHNICIANS, INFORMED ME THAT MY VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE A CABIN AIR FILTER, THUS, THERE IS NO NEED TO HAVE IT SERVICED. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH ONLINE, I CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT MY VEHICLE DID NOT HAVE A CABIN AIR FILTER INSTALLED, HOWEVER, IT DOES HAVE THE HOUSING/SLOT FOR ONE. I PURCHASED A CABIN AIR FILTER AND COVER. THE DIRECTIONS SEEMED SIMPLE ENOUGH THAT I DID NOT NEED TO TAKE IT ANYWHERE AS I AM SOMEWHAT MECHANICALLY INCLINED. I WAS APPALLED BY WHAT I FOUND WHEN I REMOVED THE SEAL. TEN YEARS OF STANDING WATER, LED TO AN INFESTATION OF MOLD AND BACTERIA, THAT I AND ANY PASSENGERS HAVE BEEN BREATHING IN. ATTACHED ARE PICTURES I TOOK AFTER CUTTING OUT THE SEAL TO INSTALL A CABIN AIR FILTER. I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE ANY AND ALL EXPLANATIONS AS TO WHY THIS WAS NEVER ADDRESSED AND WHAT GM MAY RECOMMEND SO THAT THIS MAY NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. I UNDERSTAND THAT MY YEAR AND MODEL OF TAHOE (ALONG WITH OTHER MODELS THAT DO NOT COME EQUIPPED WITH A CABIN AIR FILTER) IS NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS FLAW, AND CANNOT SEE HOW ANYONE WOULD CONTINUE TO SIT IN, LET ALONE DRIVE IN, A BACTERIA/DISEASE-RIDDEN VEHICLE. EMAIL SENT TO CHEVROLET CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE (TO WHICH THEY INFORMED ME THAT BASED ON MY VEHICLES AGE AND MILEAGE, THAT THEY WOULD BE UNABLE TO ASSIST ME.
TAKATA RECALL. NOTIFIED CHEVROLET OF NB IN REGARDS TO RECALL THE PARTS HAVE NOT BEEN RELEASED TO REPLACE AIR BAGS. CALLED TAKATA IN REGARDS OF RECALL. THEY SUGGESTED I CALL GM IN REGARDS TO LOANER CAR UNTIL PARTS ARE AVAILABLE TO REPLACE AIR BAGS. THEY STATE CAR IS PERFECTLY SAFE TO DRIVE...NOT SURE I UNDERSTAND THIS SINCE IT IS A RECALL AND SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED AND ARTICLE READS THAT VEHICLES ARE UNSAFE TO DRIVE...
