DASH CRACKING DUE TO INFERIOR MATERIALS. WIDESPREAD ISSUE THAT GM IS AWARE OF, THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ON THEIR OWN. IT'S TIME A DECISION IS MADE IN FAVOR OF THE CONSUMERS WHO PAY SO MUCH MONEY FOR THESE OVERPRICED CARS.
TAKATA RECALL WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO GET OUR AIRBAG REPAIRED BY OUR GM DEALER WITH NO REAL EXPLANATION AS TO WHY. MY WIFE IS AFRAID TO DRIVE THE TAHOE AFTER READING WHAT COULD HAPPEN IF INFLATED AND SINCE WE LIVE IN A HOT HUMID AREA IT MAKES IT EVEN WORSE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE ENTERING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED WHITE SMOKE AND FLAMES FROM THE REAR PASSENGER SEAT. THE CONTACT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE STAB TRAC WARNING POPS UP ON THE MESSAGE WINDOW AND WE LOSE POWER. WE HAVE HAD IT TO THE GARAGE FOR THE SAME PROBLEM MULTIPLE TIMES AND WE HAVE REPLACED MULTIPLE DIFFERENT THINGS AND IT KEEPS COMING BACK. AS PER ONLINE RECORDS OF THIS VEHICLE IT APPEARS SHELBY DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT EITHER. I'M TIRED OF JUST THROWING PARTS AT IT AND WANT TO FIX IT PERMANENTLY. EVERY TIME THIS PROBLEM OCCURS IN A WHILE WE ARE DRIVING AT AT LEAST ABOVE SPECIES OF 40 MILES AN HOUR AND TO BE HONEST IT'S MORE OF A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE IT GOES INTO LIMP MODE AND THEN YOU CAN ONLY GO 10 TO 15 MPH.

TAKATA RECALL BEEN WAITING FOR 2 YEARS FOR GM TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM! IT IS UNSAFE AND I FEEL THAT GM SHOULD HAVE TO REPLACE MY VEHICLE DUE TO IT PUTTING MYSELF AND MY WIFE'S LIFE AT RISK!
THE DASHBOARD OF THE VEHICLE CRACKS IN MULTIPLE LOCATIONS TO INCLUDE AROUND THE AIRBAG. SHOULD HE AIRBAG DEPLOY IT WILL BE PUNCTURED BY SHARP PIECES FROM THE DASHBOARD. THIS MAKES THE VEHICLE UNSAFE AND ITHE AIRBAGS INEFFECTIVE SHOULD THE DEPLOY.
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

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED A SMALL CRACK ON THE DASHBOARD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CRACK BECAME BIGGER DUE TO THE HEAT. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CALL NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 195,000.
WHEN LOOKING TO PURCHASE ANOTHER TAHOE I HAD SEEN A LOT OF DASH CRACKS. THE ONE I PURCHASED WHICH WILL BE 2 YEARS THIS JUNE JUST GOT A CRACK ON THE DASH NEXT TO THE PASSENGER AIRBAG.
I WAS TRAVELING AT ABOUT 50 MPH ON AN ASPHALT ROAD, AND FOR NO REASON AT ALL, MY SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS SUDDENLY DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON AT ALL.. THE ROAD HAD NO POTHOLES, AND MY VEHICLE HAD NOT VEERED FROM THE ROAD. I COULD NOT SEE THE CURB BECAUSE ONCE INFLATED, THE AIRBAGS WOULD NOT DEFLATE AND IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT MANEUVER MY VEHICLE OUT OF TRAFFIC AS I COULD NOT SEE FROM ANY OF MY SIDE WINDOWS. I ENDED UP HITTING THE CURB AT ABOUT 40 MPH, AND FLATTENED BOTH PASSENGER TIRES AND SEVERELY DENTING BOTH RIMS AS WELL. HAD A MORE UNEXPERIENCED DRIVER LIKE MY DAUGHTER BEEN DRIVING AT THE TIME, THIS MALFUNCTION COULD HAVE EASILY COST US WITH HER LIFE. I WAS ON A SMOOTH ROAD, TRAVELING IN A STRAIGHT LINE, IN VERY LIGHT TRAFFIC. THERE WAS NO REASON WHATSOEVER FOR THESE AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY! I SPOKE WITH MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND AFTER GIVING MY VIN, THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS, BUT THAT IT WASN'T TECHNICALLY A RECALL YET, BECAUSE THEY HAVE YET TO FIND A SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, WHEN I SPEAK TO CORPORATE, THEY COMPLETELY DENIED ANY KNOWLEDGE OF ANYONE EVER HAVING SUCH A PROBLEM. YET WHEN I LOOK ONLINE AT TAHOE FORUMS, THE NUMBER ONE COMPLAINT THAT I SEE ON EVERY SINGLE SITE, IS THAT THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOY FOR NO REASON AT ALL...

THE 1ST CRACK IS AT THE UPPER LEFT CORNER OF THE PASSENGER AIR BAG. THIS APPEARED ROUGHLY 2 YEARS INTO OWNERSHIP. THE 2ND CRACK IS TO THE LEFT OF THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, STARTING AT THE FRONT CLOSEST TO THE WINDSHIELD AND MOVING BACK TOWARD THE HUMP OF THE CLUSTER CLOSEST TO THE DRIVER. A 3RD CRACK HAS APPEARED, BRANCHING OFF THE SECOND CRACK AT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER POINTING TOWARDS THE DRIVERS WINDOW. THOSE CRACKS APPEARED ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO.THIS PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN KEPT UNDER SHADED CARPORT OR IN WAREHOUSE MOST OF IT'S LIFE.
OUR 2007 CHEVY TAHOE HAD BEEN DRIVEN FOR ABOUT AN HOUR AND THEN PARKED FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO HOURS. UPON STARTING THE TAHOE WITH COLD ENGINE AND PULLING AWAY FROM THE CURB THERE WAS AN IMMEDIATE SMELL OF SOMETHING TOXIC COMING FROM THE AIR VENTS FOLLOWED BY BLACK SMOKE FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AND TURNED OFF AND LESS THAN A MINUTE LATER THERE WERE FLAMES EMANATING FROM UNDER THE HOOD AND WITHIN A COUPLE OF MINUTES THE HOOD WAS BLOWN OPEN AND THE ENTIRE FRONT OF THE CAR WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES.

TAKADA AIRBAGS RECALL NOTICE RECEIVED IN MAIL IN JULY 2016. I WAS REAR ENDED ON APRIL 3, 2017 NO FAULT OF MY OWN. THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY THANK GOODNESS. I PARKED IT AND HAVEN'T DRIVEN IT SINCE. MY COMPLAINT IS THAT IT'S BEEN 1 1/2 YRS SINCE THE RECALL AND STILL NO FIX FOR REPLACEMENT OF AIRBAG. I FEEL THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND I SHOULD BE COMPENSATED FOR THE INCONVENIENCE OF NOT HAVING A SAFE VEHICLE TO DRIVE.
MY 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE DEVELOPED A FUEL LEAK AT THE DISCHARGE OF THE FUEL PUMP. THE LEAK OCCURRED ON THE TOP OF THE FUEL TANK DIRECTLY BELOW THE LEFT REAR PASSENGER SEAT. THE LEAK SPRAYED FUEL ALL OVER THE GAS TANK AND BOTTOM OF THE TRUCK BODY. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF THE ATOMIZED FUEL STARTING ON FIRE. THE DRIVER OR PASSENGERS COULD HAVE BEEN SEVERELY BURNED. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE LEAK OCCURRED. I NOTICED A VERY STRONG SMELL OF FUEL, I PULLED OVER AND GAS WAS DRIPPING OFF OF THE FUEL TANK. THE FUEL LINE DEPRESSURIZED AFTER THE ENGINE WAS SHUT OFF AND CONTINUED TO SPRAY GAS FOR 10 TO 15 SECONDS.
DASHBOARD IS CRACKING EVERYWHERE. EVERYDAY GOES BIGGER AND BIGGER.
TAKATA RECALL ENGINE POWER REDUCED, STABILITRAK NEEDS SERVICING. I'VE REPLACED PARTS TWICE SAME PROBLEMS AGAIN. VERY DANGEROUS. IVE SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS OF THIS. I NEED HELP. VEHICLE WILL SLOW DOWN AND NOT ACCELERATE.
THE TOP OF THE FUEL PUMP RUSTS OUT. THE FUEL TANK HAS A DESIGN FLAW THAT HOLDS WATER AROUND THE FUEL PUMP. THE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL LINES ON TOP OF THE TANK RUST OUT AND CAUSES GAS AND FUMES TO ESCAPE THE TANK. FUEL WILL SPRAY ONTO EXHAUST AND UNDER THE VEHICLE CAUSING A FIRE HAZARD. ALSO EXCESSIVE FUEL VAPORS ESCAPE THE TANK. I HAVE RESEARCHED THE PROBLEM ONLINE AND THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS TO GM OF THE PROBLEM BUT GM HAS NOT ADDRESSED THE PROBLEM. I AM NOT LOOKING FOR ANY MONETARY GAIN I SIMPLY WANT GM TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED. SOME PEOPLE REPORTED THE PROBLEM BEFORE 100,000 MILES AND NEARLY ALL PROBLEMS OCCUR BEFORE 150,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF A SECOND VEHICLE. DURING THE CRASH, THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE BACK, SHOULDERS, ARMS, LEFT LEG, AND KNEE. THE PASSENGER SUFFERED INJURIES TO BOTH KNEES. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS RECEIVED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
TAKATA INFLATOR I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR MY 2007 CHEVY TAHOE'S AIRBAGS LAST JULY. I HAD NOT HEARD A PEEP SO I CALLED THE LOCAL DEALERS AGAIN AND WAS TOLD THE SAME THING, THERE WAS NO FIX COMING YET. I CALLED GM AND THEIR PR PERSON TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD TESTED 43000 AIRBAGS( NOT REAL ON THE ROAD) AND FOUND NO ISSUES SO THEY WERE GOING TO REQUEST THAT THE RECALL BE RECALLED! I CLEARLY STATED THAT I LIVE IN A HOT, HUMID AREA BY THE OCEAN AND WAS CONCERNED THAT THE PROPELLANT IN THOSE TAKATA AIR BAGS MAY BE CORRUPTED LIKE THOSE IN OTHER CARS LIKE MY WIFE'S HONDA WHICH WAS RECENTLY REPLACED. SHE SAID THEY WOULD DO NOTHING, TO WHICH I REPLIED THAT I WOULD NOT LIKE TO BE ONE OF THE PEOPLE THAT HAD TO HAVE SHRAPNEL IN ME TO PROVIDE MORE EVIDENCE OF THE NEED FOR REPLACEMENTS. *JS
TAKATA RECALL I RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE LAST YEAR AND WHEN NOTHING HAPPENED, I CALLED THE LOCAL DEALER WHO SAID GM IS NOT GOING TO REPLACE ANYTHING AND THAT IT WAS SAFE.GM'S REP REPEATED THE SAME THING. I LIVE ALONG THE CHINCOTEAQUE BAY AND THE WARM SALT AIR CONCERNS ME WITH THOSE FAULTY TAKATA AIRBAGS IN MY TRUCK. MY COMPLAINT FILED WITH SAFER CAR IS # 10948531, BUT HAVE HEARD NOTHING. JUST RECEIVED A CARD INDICATING THAT TAKATA IS SENDING THAT UNIT INTO CHAPTER 11, WHICH ALSO CONCERNS ME.
I READ THE ARTICLE ON THE AIR BAGS AND DO NOT WANT ANY SERIOUS PROBLEMS. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS FOR REPAIR?

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CONTACT NOTICED A STRONG FUEL ODOR COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS FUEL LEAKING FROM THE REAR DRIVER SIDE BY THE FUEL TANK AND TIRE. THE SERVICE ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 198,000.
MY VEHICLE HAS A CRACK IN THE DASHBOARD ABOVE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AS WELL AS ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. I AM CONCERNED IF I WERE TO GET INTO A WRECK, THAT THE DASH IS GOING TO SPLIT AND CAUSE BODILY HARM INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CRACKING APPEARS TO BE CONTINUING TO SPREAD.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY POSITION SENSOR, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL. THE DASH ABOVE STEERING WHEEL HAS STARTED TO CRACK IN THE LAST YEAR. COULD THIS BE DUE TO THE AIRBAG?
TAKATA RECALL - GM STILL WILL NOT FIX MY DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS AFTER MANY PHONE CALLS AND TRIPS TO THE DEALER. THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. A YEAR!! THIS IS A MASSIVE SAFETY ISSUE WHICH AFFECTS MY ENTIRE FAMILY.

TWO LARGE CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD AND NOW A 1' BY 1.5" HOLE ADJACENT TO THE AIRBAG. THE DASH IS CRUMBLING. THIS IS NOT A RESULT OF LOAD BEARING OR MOVEMENT OF THE VEHICLE. IT IS BRITTLE PLASTIC.
TAKATA RECALL MY 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE IS ON RECALL LIST FOR PASSENGER AIRBAG. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW FROM CAVENDER CHEVROLET IN BOERNE, TX. I HAVE CALLED THE DEALER TWICE REGARDING A REPLACEMENT AIRBAG. THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
MY TRUCK IS CONSUMING LOTS OF OIL AND GAS. TOOK IT FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND THEY SAY IT WAS NO OIL IN IT AFTER PUTTING IN TWO QUARTS IN TWO DAYS AGO. MY TRUCK WAS SAYING I HAD OIL BUT I DIDNT BY THE STICK. MY STABILITRACK AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT IS ON AND IT IS RUNNING ROUGH. THE COMPUTER IS READING A MISFIRE IN CYLINDER ONE. GOT EVERYTHING CHECKED AND I WAS TOLD IT IS SOMETHING INSIDE THE ENGINE. I REAFMD ABOUT ALOT OF COMPLAINTS ON THE SAME THING THATS WRONG WITH MY TRUCK. THEIR NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THESE ENGINES WITH THE AMOUNT OF OIL IT CONSUMES AND DAMAGJNG THE ENGINE...PLEASE TELL ME CAN YOU ALL HELP!!
DASHBOARD CRACKS AROUND PASSENGER AIRBAGS AND ANOTHER LARGER CRACK BEHIND THE STEERING WHEEL. PLASTIC SHARDS WILL FLY THROUGH THE AIR IF IN A CRASH OR IF AIRBAG IS DEPLOYED.
I HAVE TWO CRACKS, ONE LOCATED ON THE DRIVER SIDE DASHBOARD AND ONE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ABOVE THE AIRBAG. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO PRODUCE SUCH PROBLEM. I HAVE ALSO HAD TO REPLACE MY HEATER CORE INPUT VALVE. I HAVE READ THAT THIS HAS TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT THE VEHICLE USES DEX-COOL. I AM UNSURE OF WHAT TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT DEX-COOL HAS BEEN FOUND TO EAT AWAY AT HOSES, O-RINGS, GASKETS, AND OTHER PARTS OF WHICH DEX-COOL COMES INTO CONTACT WITH. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO REPORT THAT MY OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT ALSO NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, IT IS NO LONGER SENDING PRESSURE READINGS TO THE DASHBOARD. I HAVE READ THAT THIS IS A VERY POPULAR PROBLEM WITH MANY CHEVROLET VEHICLE.
TRUCK REQUIRES A QUART OF OIL EVERY 1500 MILES. I KNEW IT WAS A GAS HOG BUT SURPRISED WHEN IT BURN AS MUCH OIL AS FUEL. PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM.

AIR BAG ISSUE DASH LIGHT ON ANACTIVE RECALL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE AT A HIGHWAY RATE OF SPEED, SMOKE ENTERED THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE WITHIN THE VENTS AND DASHBOARD. THE AREA OF THE DASHBOARD AND VENTS ERUPTED INTO FLAMES AS WELL AS UNDER THE HOOD. A FIRE FIGHTER EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES AND REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES TO THE FACE AND HANDS WITH NO FURTHER MEDICAL TREATMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A IMPOUND LOT. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
