OUT SIDE REARVIEW MIRRORS, WILL NOT OPEN AND CLOSE, USING INSIDE SWITCH. HAVE TO ROLL DOWN WINDOWS TO ADJUST MIRRORS. THIS IS DONE WHEN ENTERING OR BACKING OUT OF THE GARAGE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE HYBRID. WHILE PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE AT 10 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V719000 (STEERING). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 122,000.
A CRACK APPEARED RECENTLY ON THE DASHBOARD STARTING AT THE CORNER OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. I JUST HOPE A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER IS NOT KILLED IF I EVER WERE TO GET IN AN ACCIDENT. I SEE THERE HAVE BEEN QUITE A FEW COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS. WHY HAS GM IGNORED IT AND NOT STARTED AN INVESTIGATION?

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. AN UNKNOWN DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. *BF*JB
I HAVE A 2008 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ AND THE DOOR LOCKS JUST QUIT WORKING ONE DAY. ON ALL 4 DOORS!! THE KEY FOB WILL NOT LOCK OR UNLOCK THE DOORS NOR WILL THE LOCK OR UNLOCK BUTTON IN THE CAR WILL WORK. I FEEL THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. WHAT IF YOU ARE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT WITH NO WAY TO LOCK YOUR DOORS AND SOMEONE JUMPS IN YOUR CAR WITH YOU WITH A GUN! I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND THIS IS A MAJOR CONCERN FOR ME! PLEASE ISSUE A RECALL FOR THE DOOR LOCKS.

THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED NO REPAIR SOLUTION OTHER THAN STATING TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,000.

DASHBOARD CRACKS AT THE CORNER OF THE PASSENGER AIR BAG!
I STARTED UP MY 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE LTZ ON SATURDAY AND THE DASH CRACKED ON THE HUMP OVER THE GAUGES. VEHICLE IS GARAGE KEPT. SECOND OWNER TO VEHICLE AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. IF AIR BAGS WERE TO DEPLOY COULD BE EFFECTED. I HAUL MY 3 CHILDREN IN MY VEHICLE DAILY AND I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE.
87K MI LIFTER CYLINDER 4 COLLAPSED AND NEVER RE FILLED DUE TO THE EMISSIONS SYSTEM SHUTTING OFF THE OIL AND FUEL TO THIS CYLINDER (ELECTRONIC FUEL MANAGEMENT). AS A RESULT THE LIFTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, LIFTER ARE LOCATED UNDER THE HEAD.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
DASH CRACKED WHILE STATIONARY. VERY COMMON. POTENTIAL TO BECOME PROJECTILE DURING ACCIDENT.
THERE IS A CRACK IN THE DASH THAT EXTENDS FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AREA. I AM CONCERNED WITH THE FACT THAT IF THE AIRBAG WERE TO DEPLOY IT COULD PROPEL PLASTIC MATERIAL INTO THE CABIN AND AT THE PASSENGERS.
HELLO, THERE IS A CRACK IN MY DASHBOARD OF MY 2008 CHEVY TAHOE THAT MAY VERY MUCH AFFECT THE DEPLOYMENT OF MY AIRBAG. I REALLY AND TRULY FEEL THAT IF AN ACCIDENT SHOULD OCCUR THEY AIR BAG WILL NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. I JUST PURCHASED FROM BMW IN MACON ON 1/6/2016 AND I HAVE AN EXPENDED WARRANTY.
THE DASHBOARD HAS A CRACKED FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE TO THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CRACK INVOLVES THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG COVER.
A CRACK HAS DEVELOPED ON THE DASHBOARD BEHIND THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. THE DASHBOARD WAS COMPLETELY REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY BY THE DEALER (BRYAN CHEVROLET, METAIRIE, LA) IN 2010. THIS IS A WIDELY COMMON PROBLEM WITH ALL GM TRUCKS AND SUV IN THIS "CLASS". THIS IS A DEFECT AND SHOULD BE CONSIDERED FOR RECALL DUE TO POSSIBLE INJURY DUE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH.
MUTABLE CRACKS IN DASHBOARD. THIS IS A WELL KNOW ISSUE WITH 07 TO 11 GM'S. THERE WAS NO ABUSE OR REASON FOR THE CRACKS. THE CRACKS ARE CAUSING SHARP EDGES AND POINTS THAT ARE DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER. AS WELL AS EXPOSING INTERNAL EQUIPMENT THAT COULD LEAD TO FAILURE INCLUDING AIR BAGS.
THE DASH BOARD O THE VEHICLE IS CRACKING ALL AROUND THE TAKATA RECALL AIRBAGS. THE CRACKS ARE SPIDERING ACROSS THE DASH, THERE ARE SO MAY COMPLAINTS WITH THIS DASH BOARD CRACKING AND IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE IF THE AIRBAGS GO OFF THE DASH BOARD IS LIKELY TO SHATTER AND POTENTIALLY BE A PROJECTILE CAUSING INJURY OR DEATH. THIS SHOULD BE INVESITIGATED AND BE A RECALL. YOU WILL FIND THOUSANDS OF VEHICLE HAVE THIS PROBLEM, GM IS AWARE AND ITS ALL OVER FACEBOOK AND ONLINE. TAKATA RECALL NO REMEDY AVAILABLE TAKING A LONG TIME TO COME TO REMEDY
OPEN AIR BAG RECALL ON MY VEHICLE SINCE 2016! THIS IS CRAZY. WHEN WILL THIS BE RECTIFIED! NOT SAFE
MY DASHBOARD RECENTLY CRACKED ON ITS OWN IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS INCLUDING AROUND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AND IN FRONT OF THE DRIVERS CONSOLE. IT SEEMS AS IF THIS IS SOME SORT OF DEFECT IN THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. IT SPLIT ALL THE WAY THROUGH. MY MAIN CONCERN IS THE PIECES NEXT TO THE AIRBAG MAY BECOME PROJECTILES IF THE AIRBAGS WERE TO EVER BE DEPLOYED. GM AND CHEVROLET DEALERSHIPS REFUSE TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE AFTER NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS. *JS
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE CRACKED DASHBOARD AS HUNDREDS OF OTHER PEOPLE AND THE MORE SERIOUS CONCERN IS THAT MY BRAKES GO OUT WHEN I AM STOPPING SOMETIMES CAUSING MY CAR TO JOLT FORWARD AND IT SOMETIMES DOES THE SAME WITH THE GAS WHEN I AM STARTING TO DRIVE, WHERE IT WILL STALL AND JOLT FORWARD. THE DEALERSHIP HAS "FIXED" THE PROBLEM TWO OR THREE TIMES REPLACING FIRST THE HYBRID BATTERY AND THEN THE REGULAR BATTERY. NEITHER TRULY FIX IT. A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO, I CAME WITHIN INCHES OF HITTING ANOTHER CAR BECAUSE MY BRAKES WENT OUT AGAIN. I KNOW IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH BEING A HYBRID BECAUSE THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF OTHERS WITH THE SAME VEHICLE WHO HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM.
THE DRIVER SIDE DASH BOARD IS CRACKING
I BOUGHT MY 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE BRAND NEW. PEOPLE LAUGH AT ME BECAUSE I'VE ALWAYS DEALT WITH THE DEALERSHIP ON EVERYTHING INCLUDING ALL OIL CHANGES. NOW I'M BEING TOLD THAT I HAVE LIFTER AND CAM PROBLEMS. I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE ENGINE LIGHT BEING ON 5 MONTHS PRIOR TO BE TOLD THIS. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON BECAUSE OF THE TPS STICKING. I'M A SINGLE MOTHER OF 2. I PURCHASED A NEW VEHICLE NOT TO HAVE THESE KIND OF PROBLEMS ESPECIALLY SINCE I'VE ALWAYS TAKEN MY TRUCK TO THE DEALERSHIP. I CANT AFFORD A NEW ENGINE, MY TRUCK IS PARKED AND I HAVE TO GET RIDES TO WORK FROM CO-WORKERS. I CANT SLEEP NOR WORK.
THE DASHBOARD HAS A 6-8" CRACK, VEHICLE IS GARAGE KEPT & SUNSHADES. NO DAMAGE CAUSED TO VEHICLE TO CAUSE THE CRACK.
IT'S BEEN OVER 4 YEARS SINCE THIS MANDATORY RECALL AND CHEVROLET STILL HAS NO FIX FOR THE AIRBAGS. HAVING A CAR THAT I SPENT SO MUCH ON AND MAINTAINING IT CAUSE I LOVE IT BUT I CAN'T EVEN DRIVE IT SINCE I DON'T FEEL WE AS A FAMILY IS SAFE. I WASTED OVER $40K FOR IT TO JUST BE THERE...CAUSE WHO KNOWS WHAT CAN HAPPEN WITH THAT AIRBAG.
TAKATA RECALL- THIS RECALL STATES THAT THERE IS A DEFECT WITH THE AIR BAGS AND MY REPAIR AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON AND I CAN'T GET MY CAR TO PASS THE YEARLY PENNSYLVANIA CAR INSPECTION. I'M GOING TO CONTINUE BEING STOPPED BY THE POLICE AND GIVEN A 50 DOLLAR NO INSPECTION TICKET UNTIL I CAN GET THIS REPAIR AIRBAG LIGHT OFF.
I HAVE 3 CRACKS IN MY DASHBOARD THAT HAVE APPEARED OVER A COURSE OF APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS. I HAVE 2 THAT ARE ABOVE MY ODOMETER AND ONE THAT IS COMING FROM THE PASSENGER AIRBAG AREA OF THE DASH. DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IT IS MAKING CRACKLING NOISES AS IF IT IS SLOWLY SPREADING.

AFTER THE FAILURE OCCURRED, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE COULD BE OPERATED AFTER THE FAILURE USING THE VEHICLE MANUAL CONTROL FEATURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENTIRE ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 142,000.
KNOWN DEFECT IN 2007 THROUGH 2013 CHEVROLET TAHOE DASHBOARD. DASHBOARD CRACKS AROUND PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG HOUSING CAUSING DEFECTS TO AIR BAG SYSTEM.
VEHICLE WILL JERK UNCONTROLLABLY AT TIMES AT PARKING LOT SPEEDS. VEHICLE WILL STALL AT TIMES WHEN TAKING OFF FROM A STOP. VEHICLE WILL ACCELERATE AT TIMES BY ITSELF WITOUT PRESSING ACCELERATOR. DEALER CLAIMS IT NEEDS A NEW BATTERY BUT CANNOT REPLICATE PROBLEMS. I DISAGGREE WITH DEALER AND THINK VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS.

DASH, RADIO LIGHTS NOT WORKING
THERE ARE TWO SEPARATE CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD. THE DASHBOARD WAS NEVER ABUSED OR HIT. IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION THAT THIS IS PROBLEM WITH MANY GM VEHICLES FROM 2007-2013.
ALL SIX SIDE AIRBAGS ON OUR 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE DEPLOYED WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE WITH OUR TWO CHILDREN IN THEIR REAR CAR SEATS. THERE WAS NO IMPACT, BUMP, POT-HOLE OR ANY OTHER REASON APPARENT TO US WHY THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. IT WAS COMPLETELY RANDOM. NO ONE WAS INJURED AND MY WIFE MAINTAINED CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE TO A SAFE STOP, BUT SHE WAS STUNNED AND DISORIENTED. THE DAMAGE TO OUR VEHICLE IS EXTENSIVE. IN ADDITION TO REPLACING SIX AIRBAGS, LIGHT FIXTURES, PLASTIC MOLDING, THE ROOF PANEL AND FABRIC/LINER ARE ALL DAMAGED. AT THIS POINT, THE DEALER IS NOT HELPING AT ALL. WE HAVE CONTACTED GM BUT THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED AFTER 2 DAYS. WE BELIEVE THIS IS NOT ONLY A PRODUCT LIABILITY ISSUE THAT GM SHOULD REPAIR, BUT ALSO A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. WE ARE ALL VERY FORTUNATE THAT THIS DID NOT RESULT IN A SINGLE OR MULTI-VEHICLE ACCIDENT, INJURIES RELATED TO THE ACCIDENT, OR INJURIES RELATED TO THE AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. WE NEED HELP TO ENSURE GM ADDRESSES THIS ISSUE PROACTIVELY, BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHO STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE DASHBOARD ON MY CHEVY TAHOE IS CRACKING. IT BEGAN WITH ONE VERY SMALL CRACK AND NOW IT HAS SPREAD TO THE AIRBAG COMPARTMENT. THE CRACKS HAVE BECOME SO BAD THAT THE AIRBAG COMPARTMENT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HAS BEGUN TO PROTRUDE ABOVE THE SURFACE OF THE DASHBOARD.
I BEEN HAVING SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THIS TRUCK FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS NOW. THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKING, THROTTLE SENSOR IS GOING OFF, FUEL SENSOR IS OFF AS WELL. THE LOCKS ARE GETTING STUCK ON MY REAR DOORS. THE LOCKS STARTED TO CLICK ON & OFF YESTERDAY. WIRING SYSTEM IS JACKED. MY SPEAKERS DON'T WORK. MY MOTHER HAS THE SAME TRUCK YEAR AND MODEL AND IS DOING THE SAME THINGS.

CURRENT MILEAGE 68K, DASH CRACKED AT PASSENGER AIRBAG AT 38K MILEAGE WHILE TAKING A FAMILY TRIP AND SAME THING HAPPEN AT 44K THE DASH BOARD ON DRIVE HAS NOW CRACK AS WELL I MADE A HUGE INVESTMENT WHEN I MADE CHOISE TO BUY CHEVY NOW IS LOOKING LIKE I MADE A MISTAKE. WHEN I START MY 2008 LTZ TAHOE THE SERVICE SUSPENSION SYSTEM LIGHT COMES ON. THIS HAPPENS EVERYTIME I START MY VEHICLE. IS THERE A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM?
THE DASHES ON A SIGNIFICANT NUMBER OF 1500-3500 SERIES TAHOE, SUBURBAN, YUKON, SIERRA AND SILVERADO MODEL VEHICLES FROM GM ARE CRACKING ALL OVER THE DASH. THE CRACKS ARE LOCATED SPECIFICALLY AROUND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG CAUSING A SAFETY ISSUE FOR VINYL SHRAPNEL BEING LAUNCHED AT PASSENGERS IN THE CABIN UPON AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. THIS IS SIMILAR TO THE CRISIS FACED BY TOYOTA. GM IS NEGLECTING THE SAFETY OF ITS CUSTOMERS BY ALLOWING THIS TO OCCUR. THE NUMBER OF VEHICLES EXPERIENCING THE EXACT SAME CRACKS, DOWN TO THE SIZE AND EXACT LOCATION, CONSTITUTES A DESIGN FLAW IN THE LOCATION OF THE MOUNTING POINTS WHICH IS CAUSING UNEVEN DISTRIBUTION OF WEIGHT AS WELL AS POINT STRESSES. 2 LARGE CRACKS ON DASHBOARD NOT TRUAMA RELATED JUST STARTED TO APPEAR AND GREW LARGER
I HAVE HAD MY 2008 CHEVY TAHOE TO THE DEALERS 4 TIMES DUE TO STABILATRACK LIGHT COMES ON, THEN MY WINDOWS CONTINUE TO CLICK BRAKE LIGHTS QUIT WORKING WINDOWS WON'T ROLL UP OR DOWN AND SOMETIMES THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START. ON THE THIRD TIME THEY SAID IT WAS THE MEGA FUSE AND REPLACED IT. EVERYTHING SEEMED FIXED. I PARKED THE CAR IN THE GARAGE AND PULLED IT OUT APPROXIMATELY 7 MONTHS LATER TO GET TO MY SHELVES AND WHEN I WENT TO PULL IT BACK IN THE SAME SITUATION HAPPENED AGAIN. I HAVE NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER YET DUE TO THE EXTREME COSTS THAT I HAVE CONTINUED TO PAY THE PREVIOUS TIME FOR IT NOT TO BE FIXED.. IT EFFECTS THE COMPLETE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TO THE VEHICLE.
APRIL, 2015 I NOTICED SMALL CRACK IN RIGHT SIDE OF DASH IN FRONT OF PASSENGER AND LARGER CRACK IN DRIVER DASH. MAY 2015 THE CRACKS WERE SIGNIFICANTLY LARGER. THE VEHICLE LIVES IN A GARAGE IN FLORIDA WHEN NOT BEING DRIVEN. IT IS NOT PRIMARY VEHICLE DRIVEN. DASH PAD WAS REPLACED BY PALM CHEVROLET IN OCALA, FLORIDA ON JUNE 2, 2015. THE COST WAS $721.41..
I PURCHASED THIS CAR WITH 69K ON THE DASH BY THE TIME I GOT TO 80K I STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MISFIRES UPON FURTHER INSPECTION I FOUND OUT MY ENGINE LIFTERS WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IN THE VEHICLE WENT INTO LIMP MODE. I CALLED GM THEY OFFERED NO REPAIR ASSISTANCE AND AKNOWLEDGED THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM. HOWEVER THEY HAVENT RELEASED A RECALL TO HELP OR REIMBURSE THE MANY PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING AT 5 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,900.
DASHBOARD IS CRACKING AROUND THE AIRBAG AND ON TOP OF THE ODOMETER/ SPEED AND IS A SAFETY ISSUE IF PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG GOES OFF. POTENTIAL FOR IT TO SHOOT PLASTIC SHRAPNEL INTO CABIN AND IT'S OCCUPANTS. I HAVE CHILDREN AND I FEEL UNSECURED RIDING MY TRUCK.
