THE DOOR HANDLES ON MY TAHOE HAVE BROKEN OFF AT THE POST IN THE DOOR. THIS IS A COMMON OCCURENCE FOR THIS MODEL ACCORDING TO THE DATA ON THE INTERNET. THE PLASTIC HANDLE EASILY BREAKS OFF FROM THE METAL POST OVER TIME. THIS IS NOT FROM EXCESSIVE USE OR FORCE THIS IS JUST A DESIGN FLAW WITH INFERIOR MATERIALS. BOTH THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE HANDLES HAVE BROKEN OFF. THE SITUATION JUST CONTUINUED TO GET WORSE OVER THE LAST YEAR. THIS VEHICLE IS GARAGED 90% OF THE TIME ONLY BEING DRIVEN AS A PLEASURE VEHICLE. THE DOORS BROKE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED.
HAVE TWO AREA ON MY,DASH BOARD WHERE. CRACKS ARE LOCATED, RUNNING FROM THE STEERING TO THE PASSAGE SIDE. NEVER USE ANY CLEANING PRODUCTS, JUST A DAMP TOWEL.
I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING IN MY POWER, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE OF MY CRACKED DASHBOARD/PAD. I HAVE REACHED OUT TO DOZENS UPON DOZENS OF OTHER TAHOE/YUKON OWNERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME ISSUE AND HAVE REACHED OUT TO GM FOR FURTHER ASSISTANCE TO ONLY HAVE BEEN TURNED AWAY.
SO I TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF MY TRUCK ITS GARAGE KEPT ALWAYS HAVE SUN VISOR ON WHEN IN THE SUN BUT THAT DIDN'T MATTER. I FIRST NOTICED A SMALL CRACK ABOVE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL MAYBE A INCH AND WITH A MONTH IT'S CRACKED ALL THE WAY UP ALMOST AROUND TO THE FRONT. THIS IS NOT HE FAULT OF THE CONSUMER. THERE ARE THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS ON FACEBOOK, ON THE NEWS AND ALL SOCIAL MEDIA. GM NEEDS TO GET THIS RECALLED IMMEDIATELY. *TR
ITS ABOUT A CORNER I HAVE JUST GOT A USED CHEVY TAHOE HYBIRD 2008 AT A DEALER IN NJ WITH 30 DAY WARRANTY, AND NOW THE DOORS FROM LR-DRIVER LEFT REAR AND RR-PASSENGER SIDE REAR LOCK DOESNT OPEN OR LOCK! HAD MY FRIEND IN BACK AND DOORS DIDNT OPEN FROM NO WAY!! HOPE IN GOD THAT THERES A FIRE OR EMERGENCY HOW DOES MY KIDS,FAMILY GET OUT? THATS MY PROBLEM. I THINK IN EVERY CASE SAFETY IS ALWAY FIRST! MY AIR BAG SENSOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED - AT AN ASTRONOMICAL PRICE THIS IS CRAZY - I HAVE JUST REPLACED THE BALL JOINTS AND NOW I HAVE TO REPLACE AN AIRBAG SENSOR IN ORDER TO GET AN INSPECTION STICKER.....NOT HAPPY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO DECELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 145,000.
DASH HAS CRACKED IN MULTIPLE PLACES. FIRST CRACK IS ON RIGHT SIDE OF DASH, TOP LEFT OF THE AIR BAG PANEL. SECOND CRACK IS ON LEFT SIDE OF DASH OVER THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. MOST PEOPLE DON'T THINK ABOUT A CRACKED DASH BEING DANGEROUS. HOWEVER, IF THE AIRBAGS ARE DEPLOYED, FRAGMENTS COULD BECOME PROJECTILES THAT CAN HARM PASSENGERS. CHEVROLET/GM NEEDS TO MAKE THIS RIGHT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THERE WERE MULTIPLE CRACKS ON THE DASHBOARD WHERE THE AIR BAGS WERE LOCATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE DASHBOARD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
DASHBOARD CRACKING IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT PLACES, EVEN BESIDE PASSENGER AIRBAG.
I PREVIOUSLY FILED A COMPLAINT REGARDING TWO CRACKS IN MY 2008 CHEVY TAHOE DASHBOARD, WHICH HAVE NOW INCREASED TO THREE. THIS HAS NOW LEFT THE ENTIRE PIECE ABOVE THE PASSENGER AIRBAG DETACHED FROM THE REST OF THE DASHBOARD. ALSO, I NOW HAVE INSIDE COMPONENTS THAT HAVE BROKEN, FALLEN THROUGH THE DASHBOARD COMPARTMENT AND FALLEN ON MY FEET AS I AM DRIVING. THE PIECES ARE VERY SHARP AND ARE A DISTRACTION WHILE DRIVING AND I AM CONCERNED FOR OTHER PIECES THAT MAY FALL AND IMPEDE MY ABILITY TO OPERATE THE GAS OR BRAKES PROPERLY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BATTERY DRAINED AND REQUIRED REPLACEMENT EVERY THREE MONTHS. IN ADDITION, THE ENGINE RPMS INCREASED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. ON ONE OCCASION, THE DEALER REPLACED THE WIRING HARNESS THAT CAUSED THE CHECK ENGINE, THE BATTERY LIGHT AND THE ABS WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 118,000.
DASHBOARD ON TAHOE IS CRACKING ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG.
CRACKED DASHBOARD AND INSTRUMENT PANEL.
CRACKING DASHBOARD. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER TIME AND CANNOT BE ATTRIBUTED TO THE SPEED, DIRECTION, OR ORIENTATION OF THE VEHICLE. I FEEL THIS CAN BE A SAFETY ISSUE INHIBITING THE SAFE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAGS.
THERE ARE NUMEROUS CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD AROUND THE AIRBAG. I AM WORRIED IF THE AIR BAG WILL PREMATURELY DEPLOY, OR WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DEPLOY AS DESIGNED WITH THE CRACKS. MY VEHICLE IS A 2008 TAHOE LTZ. THERE ARE COUNTLESS PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE, WITH THE CRACK IN THE SAME PLACE. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE ELECTRICALLY SYSTEM AND WHAT THE CRACKS MIGHT BE DOING. *TR

TAKATA RECALL DASHBOARD CRACKING MORE AND MORE... FALLING INTO PIECES. WORRIED IT MAY AFFECT AIRBAGS OR PREVENT AIRBAGS TO WORK PROPERLY.
TAKATA RECALL GM DELAYING IN TAKING ACTION TO FIX ISSUE
PASSENGER SIDE DOOR LOCK STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS. WOULD WORK OCCASIONALLY. NOW, IT WON'T WORK AT ALL. HAS TO BE MANUALLY PULLED UP TO UNLOCK AND PUSHED DOWN TO LOCK. I NOTICED OVER 450 COMPLAINTS FROM OTHERS ABOUT THE ACTUATORS GOING OUT ON THEIRS TOO. SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM. *TR
THE FRONT DASH BOARD IS CRACKED, IT HAPPENED IN 2014, THERE WAS A CRACK ACROSS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM ON THE DRIVER SIDE, I DID NOT CONTACTED THE COMPANY BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY ALREADY BUT JUST A FEW MONTHS AGO ANOTHER CRACK APPEARED IN THE PASSENGER SIDE ACROSS FROM WHERE THE AIR BAGS DEPLOY, THIS GOT ME CONCERNED FOR SAFETY REASONS, I STARTED READING MORE AND FOUND OUT THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH MOST CHEVROLET TRUCKS/SUV'S. ACTION NEEDS TO BE TAKEN FROM GMC TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE AND REPLACE CRACKED DASHBOARDS.
THERE ARE VERY LARGE CRACKS ON MY DASH BOARD, THE WORST ONE BEING AROUND THE AIRBAG PLASTIC COVER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE DASH! YOU CAN SEE UNDER THE COVER SHOWING ALL OF THE COMPONENTS UNDER THE DASH! THE CRACK THAT IS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE IS ABOVE THE STEERING COLUMN RUNNING FROM THE DEFROSTER TO THE TOP BY THE SPEEDOMETER DISPLAYS, ETC! I FEEL AS IF THESE CRACKS, SPECIFICALLY THE ONE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, IS A HUGE SAFETY HAZARD! WITHOUT CRASHING, THERE IS NO WAY OF TELLING IF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WILL DEFLATE PROPERLY DUE TO THIS! I FEEL THAT TO FIND THIS OUT, IT SHOULD BE AT NO ONES EXPENSE! I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT & A CLAIM WITH GM A FEW MONTHS AGO ONLY TO BE TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT GM CONTACTED ON MY BEHALF THAT THE RESPONSIBILITY IS MINE IF I WANTED THIS PROBLEM TO BE FIXED! THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME THAT IT WOULD COST $850 TO $1000 TO HAVE THE DASH REPLACED! THE DEALERSHIP ALSO SAID THAT THEY ARE VERY AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM IN THE TAHOES BECAUSE THEY HAVE REPLACED SOME DASHES! GM IS NOT TAKING ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR FAULTY EQUIPMENT & REFUSE TO ISSUE A RECALL! THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF OTHER CUSTOMERS WHO I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT ARE ALSO FACING THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH THEIR TRUCKS & SUVS! THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER NEEDED TO REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLES ARE CHEAP AND DEFECTIVE. JUST REPLACED ONE AND ANOTHER IS BREAKING APART. REPLACED THE HANDLE AT THE DEALER WHO TOLD ME THEY ARE REPLACING A LOT OF THEM! *TR
THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED FOR THE 2ND TIME IT WAS REPLACED A FEW YEARS AGO UNDER WARRANTY BUT HAS CRACKED AGAIN IN 2 PLACES. I HAVE A 2008 TAHOE WITH 51000 MILES. I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH GM TRYING TO GET THIS REPAIRED AT THEIR EXPERIENCE. I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE DASH CRACKING, A RECALL NEEDS TO BE RELEASED TO FIX THIS ISSUE. *TR
WE HAD THIS SAME RECURRING PROBLEM WITH THIS TAHOE FOR THE LAST 10K MILES. SOMETIMES WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHER SPEED OR JUST IDLING, IT WILL DISPLAY A "REDUCED ENGINE POWER" AND YOU WILL LOOSE ALL POWER. ENGINE IS STILL RUNNING AND LIGHTS AND RADIO WILL WORK, BUT YOU GET NO POWER WHEN PRESSING THE GAS. ITS SCARY BECAUSE IT HAPPENS SO SUDDENLY WITH OUT ANY WARNING. WE HAVE SPEND A COUPLE OF THOUSAND DOLLARS TRYING TO TROUBLE SHOOT THIS BUT IT HASN'T BEEN SOLVED.. *TR
WHEN PUSHING THE BRAKE PEDAL THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SHAKE/VIBRATE AS IF THE ABS WAS ACTIVATED WHEN I GOT TO WORK, AND EVEN WHEN PLACE THE VEHICLE IN TO PARK AND PUSHED THE BRAKE PEDAL THE SAME VIBRATION HAPPENED. I RUSHED TO THE DEALERSHIP HAD TO DRIVE ON HWY TO GET THERE KEPT AT MIN SPEEDS AS POSSIBLE AND NOT USING BRAKES AT ALL. WHILE APPROACHING AN EXIT RAMP, I APPLIED MY BRAKES THEY LOCKED UP ( IT REALLY SCARED ME) THEN THE ABS VIBRATING CAME BACK AGAIN. AS I WAS APPROACHING MY HOUSE AND HIT THE BRAKES AGAIN FOUND I HAD NONE HAD TO USE EMERGENCY FOOT BRAKE TO STOP. AFTER OVER NIGHT ON MY DRIVEWAY ATTEMPTED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THE BRAKES STARTED TO WORK KIND OF WITH THE SAME ABS VIBRATION PROBLEM. DROPPED IT OF AT THE DEALER AT VALLEY BUICK GMC ON SAT 06/28/14, ON MONDAY THE DEALER TELLS ME ITS A BPMV BRAKE PRESSURE MODULAR VALVE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND THAT IT WILL TAKE 3-4 WEEKS TO GET THE PARTS. 1ST OF ALL IT WAS SCARY ENOUGH TO LOSE THE BRAKES AND NOW 2 WEEKS LATER RENTING A CAR OUT OF MY OWN POCKET $600 OUT AND NOW GOING ONTO 3RD WEEK ANOTHER $250 EXPENSES, AS OF TODAY 7/14/14 DEALER PART SAYS THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THE PART WILL BE SHIPPED. CALLED GM CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY SAY THERE IS NO RECALL ON THIS ISSUE (THEY HAVE TO WAIT TILL ENOUGH PEOPLE DIE OR GET HURT), SO THEY TRANSFER ME TO THE DEALER THAT HAS MY VEHICLE WITH NO IDEA WHEN THE PART WILL COME. I LOVE THE HYBRID TAHOE BUT THIS IS HOW GM TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS I DON'T THINK I WILL BE BUYING A NEW TAHOE. *TR
NOTICED TWO SIZEABLE CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD, ONE OF WHICH IS RIGHT NEAR THE AIRBAG. I RESEARCHED THE ISSUE AND NOTICED THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER TAHOE OWNERS THAT ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING AND THAT IT IS A DEFECT IN THE DASHBOARD. THE CRACKS SEEM TO BE GETTING BIGGER AND I'M CONCERNED PIECES OF THE DASHBOARD WILL SPLINTER CREATING FLYING PROJECTILES IF THE AIRBAG WERE TO EVER DEPLOY. *JS
WHEN STARTED (USUALLY THE SECOND TIME OF THE DAY AFTER BEING DRIVEN TO WORK AND THEN HAVING SAT ALL DAY) THE VEHICLE COUGHS AND RUNS ROUGH FOR A SECOND. THEN THE THROTTLE DOES NOT RESPOND TO INPUT FOR A VARIABLE PERIOD OF TIME. WHEN IT DOES RESPOND IT MAY RESPOND TO PREVIOUS INPUT CAUSING UNANTICIPATED ACCELERATION. I HAVE HAD TO USE BOTH FEET ON THE BRAKE TO AVOID A CRASH. THROWS NO CODES. DEALER SAYS THEY CANNOT DIAGNOSE IT ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE REPRODUCED IT. IN ADDITION, AN INDEPENDENT SHOP SAYS THAT ON START/RESTART THERE IS A GRINDING NOISE IN THE STARTER/TRANSMISSION (THE ELECTRIC MOTOR IN THE TRANSMISSION IS USED AS A STARTER). DEALER DENIES HEARING THIS ALTHOUGH THE INDEPENDENT SAYS IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME. *TR
STARTED CAR, PUT IN GEAR, DEPRESSED BRAKE PEDAL, AND IT WENT NEARLY TO THE FLOOR. NO VACUUM ASSIST AND THE CAR WAS VERY HARD TO STOP EVEN AT A ROLLING SPEED. THE FOLLOWING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED: CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, STABILITRACK INDICATOR LIGHT, ABS WARNING LIGHT, BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT. THE FOLLOWING DISPLAYED ON ODOMETER SCREEN: SERVICE STABILITRACK, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, SERVICE BRAKES SOON. VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT DEALERSHIP FOR 2 WEEKS, WITH REPEATED CALLS TO GM ENGINEERS, WHO FIRST RECOMMENDED REPLACING THE MASTER CYLINDER, WHICH COST $1000 AND DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. SINCE THEN, THE ENGINEERS APPARENTLY SAY IT IS THE HYBRID BRAKE VALVE MODULATOR THAT HAS FAILED, WHICH WILL COST ADDITIONAL $2300; HOWEVER, THE DEALER CANNOT GET THE PART AND NOT SURE IF THIS WILL FIX IT. THIS HYBRID BRAKING SYSTEM IS DEFECTIVE AND DANGEROUS!! I CANNOT IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED HAD I BEEN DRIVING AT FULL SPEED. IN READING FORUMS, I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ISSUE. I HOPE THE NHTSA READS THIS WITH ALL THE RECALLS AND COVERUPS THAT GM HAS HAD TO DEAL WITH IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS. A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED. *TR
DASHBOARD HAS 3 LARGE CRACKS. STARTED AS A SMALL STRESS CRACK THEN SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE DASH. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE 08-14 GM VEHICLES ( TAHOE, SUBURBAN, AVALANCHE) THIS HAPPENED AS THE CAR WAS STATIONARY. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AS THE CRACK CAN SPREAD AND/OR BREAK DURING DRIVING, GM NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS MAJOR CONCERN
DRIVING DOWN MAJOR STREET AND FRONT LEFT TIRE BRUSHED CURB AND THE SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. FRONT AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. TIRE DID NOT BLOW OUT AND NO DAMAGE TO ANY PART OF VEHICLE. *TR
A CRACK STARTED TO FORM ON THE DASHBOARD ABOVE THE UPPER LEFT CORNER OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. THE CRACK HAS SPREAD AND HAS CAUSED PRESSURE AND STRAIN ON OTHER PARTS OF THE DASHBOARD LEADING TO MAJOR CRACKS IN THE PLASTIC ALL THE WAY FROM THE PASSENGER AIRBAG TO THE DRIVERS SIDE DASH 'HUMP' ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. THIS HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM/DEFECT WITH THE CHEVY TAHOE MODEL FROM 2007-2011. THE CRACKS ARE A SAFETY CONCERN SINCE THEY ARE STARTING FROM AND ARE SURROUNDING THE AIRBAGS. ANY DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAGS ARE AT RISK OF MALFUNCTION AS WELL AS POSSIBLY CAUSING DAMAGE TO PASSENGERS DUE TO THE CRACKED PIECES POTENTIAL OF BREAKING OFF AND BEING HURLED AT PASSENGERS UPON IMPACT/DEPLOYMENT. GM SHOULD RECALL THESE MODELS AND FIX THE SAFETY ISSUE.
AS SOON AS WE DROVE OUR USED 2008 TAHOE OFF THE DEALER LOT WE HAD A TAIL LIGHT OUT THAT THEY CLAIM WAS JUST A LIGHT BULB BLOWN BUT IT STILL CONTINUES TO TURN OFF AND ON BY ITSELF. WE'VE HAD TO REPLACE THE DRIVERS SEAT BELT BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T RETRACT ALL THE WAY. THE DASH CRACKED ALMOST ALL THE WAY FROM END TO END AND IT IS GARAGED UNLESS WE ARE OUT DRIVING AROUND SO THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON FOR IT TO CRACK. THE DRIVER SIDE CHROME DOOR HANDLE IS PEELING AND HAS CUT OUR HANDS. WE'VE HAD TO HAVE THE ALTERNATOR REPLACED RIGHT AFTER WE BOUGHT IT AS WELL. THIS WHOLE TRUCK IS A LEMON! THE TRUCK IS CURRENTLY IN THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T START AND KEPT THROWING A CODE "SERVICE SECURITY THEFT SYSTEM." HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM SAYING WHAT IS EXACTLY WRONG WITH IT NOW. *JS
DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED AT UPPER LEFT HAND CORNER OF PASSENGER AIR BAG AND ABOVE DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL. CRACK AT AIR BAG IS WORRISOME IN EVENT THAT IT MAY EFFECT AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE COMPLETELY STALLS NO ELECTRICAL NOT EVEN HAZARD LIGHTS. I WAS DRIVING AND RADIO STARTED TO STATIC AND THEN CAR STALLED WAS NOT ABLE TO TURN ON HAZARDS MAKING IT VERY DANGEROUS AS OTHER VEHICLES WERE NOT ABLE TO SEE THAT I WAS STALLED AND GOT VERY CLOSE TO HITTING MY TRUCK HAD TO CALL FOR HELP AS I WAS SITTING IN INTERSECTION HAD NO WAY OF TELLING THEM I WAS UNABLE TO MOVE HAD TO OPEN MY DOORS TO CALL ATTENTION TO DRIVERS. A DAY BEFORE I NOTICED THAT PROBLEM BEGAN WHEN I PARKED VEHICLE AND IGNITION KEY TURNED OFF ALL ELECTRICITY WILL QUICKLY SHUT OFF INCLUDING RADIO. WHEN AT A NORMAL TIME RADIO WOULD STAY ON UNTIL DOOR OPENED. THIS INCIDENT HAS HAPPEN TO ME 3 TIMES ALREADY. I HAVE HAD FULL BODY THROTTLE REPLACED, BATTERY AND GROUND CABLES REPLACED AND STILL NOT FIXED VEHICLE ALSO SHAKES ALOT AT TIMES WHEN STOPPED AT INTERSECTION. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V240000, (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE HEATED WASHER MODULE WOULD BE PERMANENTLY DISABLED AND REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT BY REMOVING THE HEATED WASHER FLUID MODULE FROM THE VEHICLE, HE WOULD BE UNABLE TO REMOVE ICE FROM THE WINDSHIELD DURING ICY WEATHER CONDITIONS. THE HEATED WASHER MODULE WAS AN ADDED EXPENSE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE RECALL REPAIR UNTIL THEY REVISED THE VEHICLE SO THAT NO ONE COULD INSTALL ANY TYPE OF HEATED WASHER MODULES IN THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT REQUESTED THAT THE DEALER REPLACE THE MODULE WITH A NHTSA APPROVED REPLACEMENT MODULE BUT THE DEALER REFUSED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. DASH HAS CRACKED TO THE POINT IF THE AIR BAGS CAME OUT IT WOULD BE VERY HARMFUL WITH ALL THE PLASTIC PIECES FLYING EVERYWHERE! DIDN'T GET THE RECALL NOTICE. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED SINCE IT IS THE MANUFACTURER USING INFERIOR MATERIALS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD OF THE VEHICLE WAS FRACTURED IN SEVERAL PLACES, WHICH COULD CAUSE INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED, BUT NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,398.
TL- THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH THERE WAS STATIC COMING FROM THE RADIO AND THEN THE VEHICLE STALLED. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE STATIC FROM THE RADIO ALSO CAUSED THE ELECTRIC WINDOWS TO OPEN AND CLOSE INTERMITTENTLY. THE FAILURE WAS DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE FULL BODY THROTTLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76127. RK
DASH IS CRACKED IN THREE (3) LOCATIONS. ONE LOCATION IS NEAR AIR BAG AND PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT WILL NOT ENGAGE. DEALERSHIP AND GM DIRECTLY HAVE ADVISED THEY WILL NOT REPAIR. THE AIRBAG COULD DEPLOY ON ITS OWN, OR COULD FAIL TO DEPLOY IF NEEDED, BOTH OF WHICH ARE A SAFETY ISSUE. DASH CRACKS ARE LARGE. THOUSANDS OF GM OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THIS SAME ISSUE. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM HAS GONE HAYWIRE. AFTER THREE ATTEMPTED REPAIRS BY A DEALERSHIP, THEY FINALLY REPLACED THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE. THE VEHICLE WOULD DISABLE COMPLETELY AT RANDOM, REQUIRING TOWS ON TOO MANY OCCASIONS TO RECALL. ELECTRICAL ISSUES STILL REMAIN. I AM AFRAID THAT THE VEHICLE WILL CATCH FIRE, AS THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM APPEARS TO BE ENGAGED AND OPERATING WHEN THERE IS NO POWER TO THE VEHICLE. DOOR HANDLE ON DRIVERS SIDE WILL NOT ENGAGE WITH AUTOMATIC LOCK FEATURE. OTHER DOORS LOCK AND UNLOCK, BUT DRIVERS SIDE WILL NOT. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE, AS THE DOOR HAS FAILED TO OPEN WHEN NEEDED IN AN EMERGENCY. THE DOOR HANDLES HAVE CHROME COVERING COATING. THE COATING IS PEELING OFF AND IS VERY SHARP, RESULTING IN CUTS TO YOUR HANDS. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO FILE DOWN THE COATING, BUT HAVE FINALLY COVERED IT WITH DUCT TAPE TO AVOID FURTHER CUTS TO MY HANDS AND MY PASSENGERS HANDS. ON A COSMETIC NOTE, THE COATING ON THE STEERING WHEEL IS ALL PEELING OFF. ALL OF THE ISSUES I HAVE REPORTED ARE HAPPENING TO THOUSANDS OF GM OWNERS AND GM HAS FAILED TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THESE ISSUES. I HAVE ALSO BEEN OVERCHARGED BY AN AUTHORIZED GM DEALERSHIP FOR TIME EXPENDED ON REPAIRS TO MY VEHICLE. *TR
DASH CRACKING ON AND NEAR AIRBAG IN DASH , TRIED TO REPAIR ONCE AT A SHOP AND STILL CARCKED.. OTHER PARTS OF DASH IS CRACKING .
THE FRONT A/C&HEATER BLOWER FAN QUIT WORKING, AND NOW IT AND THE REAR BLOWER QUIT BLOWING AGAIN. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED THE FRONT BLOWER ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR WAS COMPLETELY MELTED. *TR
WE OWN TWO CHEVY TAHOE'S AND BOTH OF THEM (2008 & 2012) HAVE CRACKING DASHBOARDS. I AM CONCERNED WITH THE SAFETY OF THE AIRBAGS. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ONLINE REGARDING THIS ISSUE AND IS A HAZARDS TO DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS.
