WHEN I PRESS DOWN ON THE GAS, MY VEHICLE STALLS ABOUT FIVE SECONDS BEFORE IT ACTUALLY TAKES OFF. WHEN I TRY TO STOP, IT DOES NOT STOP RIGHT AWAY AS I PRESS DOWN ON THE BREAK. I'VE ALMOST REAR ANOTHER VEHICLE ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHILE SITTING AT A RED LIGHT. I HAVE TO STAY AT LEAST 15 FEET AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. MY VEHICLE HAS SHUT DOWN WHILE I WAS DRIVING. MY ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND GOES OFF PERIODICALLY. IF I TURN MY WHEEL TO SHARPLY (REVERSE OR FORWARD), IT JERKS, MAKES A LOUD NOISE, AND THEN IT FEELS LIKE ITS ABOUT TO CUT OFF. I FEEL REALLY UNSAFE DRIVING, HOWEVER, I HAVE NO CHOICE BECAUSE I HAVE TO WORK.
THE DASH AROUND THE AIRBAG IS CRACKED. TAHOE HAD 45K ON IT WHEN IT STARTED TO CRACK.

THE CHROME ON THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLES FOR BOTH DRIVE AND PASSENGER SIDE IS PEELING AND IS VERY SHARP. MY 12 YEAR OLD RECENTLY CUT HIS FINGER OPEN ATTEMPTING TO OPEN THE DOOR. ONLINE RESEARCH INDICATES THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THESE VEHICLES
MY 2009 HYBRID TAHOE ACCELERATES UNCONTROLLABLY ON OCCASION. THE ISSUE ARRISES COMMONLY IN STOP-AND-GO TRAFFIC WHEN THE HYBRID SYSTEM STARTS/STOPS THE GASOLINE ENGINE REGULARLY. I NOTICE IN MANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHEN SWITCHING GAS/ELECTRIC MODES THE VEHICLE LURCHES FORWARD. THE FEELING IS THE SAME AS LETTING OUT THE CLUTCH QUICKLY ON A VEHICLE WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. I HAVE DONE AS MUCH RESEARCH AS I CAN AND IT APPEARS THE PROBLEM POINTS TO ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION FLUID PUMP(S) AND/OR CONTROL MODULES. WHEN THE SYSTEM OPERATES ON THE GAS ENGINE, THE HYBRID TAHOE'S TRANSMISSION RELIES ON AN ENGINE DRIVEN HYDRAULIC FLUID PUMP. WHEN THE SYSTEM SWITCHES TO ELECTRIC MODE, AN AUXILIARY TRANSMISSION FLUID PUMP TURNS ON, DRIVEN BY AN INDEPENDENT ELECTRIC MOTOR. THE LURCH I DESCRIBED RESULTS FROM WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE A FAILING PUMP OR CONTROL MODULE, OR A COMBINATION OF THE BOTH WHICH ENGAGES GEARS WHEN IT SHOULDN'T. THIS LURCH IS RATHER DANGEROUS AS I HAVE HAD TO JUMP ON THE BRAKES MANY TIMES TO AVOID REAR ENDING OTHER DRIVERS. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH SEVERAL INDIVIDUALS WHO OWN, DRIVE OR HAVE DRIVEN THESE GMT900 SERIES HYBRIDS (2008-2013 CHEVY TAHOE/SILVERADO HYBRIDS, GMC YUKON HYBRIDS, CADILLAC ESCALADE HYBRIDS) ALL INDIVIDUALS HAVE DESCRIBED THE DREADED LURCH. SOME SAY REPLACING THE ELECTRIC AUXILIARY TRANSMISSION FLUID PUMP SOLVES THE PROBLEM, OTHERS STILL HAVE LURCHING ISSUES. ONE INDIVIDUAL WHO DRIVES A CADILLAC ESCALADE HYBRID CLAIMED TO HAVE ACTUALLY REAR ENDED SOMEONE DUE TO THE UNCONTROLLABLE LURCH. AS FOR MY PERSONAL CAR, THE LURCH OCCURS IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC AND OCCURS AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK, SOMETIMES MORE. THANKFULLY I HAVE NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT YET, HOWEVER I FEEL ONE MAY BE IMMINENT. THE MANUFACTURER CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
CRACKED DASH. THE DASH HAS CRACKED AT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. IF AIRBAG DEPLOYED, THE DASH WOULD PROBABLY TURN TO SHRAPNEL.
I HAVE BOUGHT 4 DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS AND ALL KEEP FAILING THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. IF THERE IS A FIRE OR AN EMERGENCY I HAVE KIDS AND SOMETHING MAY HAPPEN.

I RECEIVED A RECALL IN MAY 2016. I JUS GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH NORMAN FREDE CHEVROLET AND THEY TOLD ME THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX MY CHEVROLET. I CURRENTLY HAVE A DANGEROUS AIRBAG IN MY VEHICLE WITH NO RECOURSE TO RESOLVE IT AND NO TIME FRAME FOR WHEN THIS WILL OCCUR. I HAVE CONTACTED TWO DEALERS AND NEITHER SEEM TO KNOW WHAT I CAN DO OTHER THAN GO TO THE WEBSITE.

TAKATA RECALL - RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION A YEAR AGO. CONTACTED SUPREME CHEVROLET WHERE TAHOE WAS PURCHASED AND THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS TO REPAIR. GOT NOTICE FROM TK HOLDING THIS WEEK AND CALLED SUPREME AGAIN AND THEY CAN NOT GET THE PARTS TO REPAIR AND TOLD ME TO CONTACT TK HOLDINGS FOR RESOLUTION. I'VE CALLED THE PHONE NUMBERS ON THE NOTICE BUT THERE IS NEVER ANYONE AVAILABLE AND THEY JUST SAY CALL BACK. PLEASE CONTACT ME TO RESOLVE THIS RECALL ISSUE BEFORE THERE IS AN ACCIDENT.

EVERY TIME I RECEIVE THE NOTICE I CONTACT AUTONATION, 5757 LAKE WORTH ROAD, GREEN ACRES, FL 33463, AND I GET THIS SAME RESPONSE--WE DO NOT HAVE REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THE AIRBAG RECALL. WHY WOULD ANY AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP NOT HAVE THE RECALL REPLACEMENT PARTS? I HAVE HEARD ABOUT MALFUNCTION OF THE TAKATA AIRBAGS. VERY LARGE CRACK ACROSS THE DASH WHILE NOT DRIVING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT UPON PLACING THE KEY IN THE IGNITION, THE VEHICLE CRANKED BUT FAILED TO START. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL CONTROL MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT REFERENCED TSB14515A. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 134,000.
TAKATA RECALL - DEALERS TELLS ME THE PARTS FOR MY AIRBAG RECALL ARE NOT AVAILABLE YET. I THOUGHT THEY ONLY HAD 18 MONTHS OR SO TO FINALIZE THIS RECALL AND REPLACE IT. I DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE WITH UNSAFE FAULTY AIRBAGS.
LIKE ALL OTHER CHEVROLETS, THE DASH HAS CRACKED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BY THE AIRBAG. 73223 MILES. UNSURE WHEN EXACTLY IT HAPPENED
ALL 4 DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS WENT BAD AFTER A SIMPLE SEARCH ONLINE THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE ACROSS THE BOARD WITH 2008-2010 CHEVY TAHOE AND SUBURBAN. AND A VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR. THIS IS VERY UNUSUAL FOR ALL 4 LOCKS TO GO AT THE SAME TIME.
CRACKED AND BROKEN DASHBOARD. BROKEN NEAR PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. IF IN AN ACCIDENT THE DASHBOARD COULD SHATTER SENDING SHARP EDGED HARD PLASTIC INTO OCCUPANTS POSSIBLY PROPELLED BY DEPLOYED AIRBAGS.
DASHBOARD IS CRACKED IN NUMEROUS PLACES. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY.

I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE NOW THE DASH TWICE BECAUSE OF SEVERE CRACKING. NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN REPORTED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET TAHOE HYBRID. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM ERROR MESSAGE DISPLAYED. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AFTER TWO HOURS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MULTIPLE INDEPENDENT MECHANICS WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE HYBRID COOLANT SYSTEM FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 139,444.

CRACKED DASH. CRACK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AT THE EDGE OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. LARGER CRACK ON THE DRIVER SIDE ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER TIME AND THE CRACKS HAVE GOTTEN LARGER. SINCE I HAVE TO SELECT A DATE, SIMPLY PUTTING TODAYS DATE...
DASH BOARD CRACKED ALL THE WAY ACROS DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE. CRACK CONTINUED UNTIL IT MET THE SEAMS OF DASHBOARD TO AIRBAG.
WARNING LIGHT, TURN OFF THE ENGINE. AND THE VEHICLE TUGGED FORWARD. THIS VEHICLE HAS TURNED OFF ON OCCASION AND HAS HAD OTHER ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS. THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT, NOW, REMAINS LIT.
WITHIN LAST 90 DAYS DASH HAS DEVELOPED CRACKS AROUND PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG COMPARTMENT, WHICH RUNS ALL THE WAY TO THE BOLT ATTACHMENT POINT. ALSO CRACKED ABOVE DRIVER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL (IN MOTION OR NOT) HAS A SLIGHT RUBBING SOUND, AND I AM TOLD BY REPAIR SHOP THAT IT IS THE WOUND WIRE IGNITION LINE TO THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG. I AM CONCERNED THAT BOTH DEFICIENCIES IN DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING, COULD PREVENT AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT, OR CASE THEM TO GO OFF WITHOUT A FRONT END IMPACT TO THE SENSORS. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL VEHICLE FOR SEVERAL MODEL YEARS, AND GM ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEFECTIVE DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE, UNLIKE FORD & TOYOTA. THIS IS NOT A MILEAGE ISSUE, IT IS A PLASTIC INTERIOR PART, AND UNRELATED TO MILEAGE. THIS VEHICLE IS GARAGED AND NOT PARKED IN SUN FOR LONG PERIODS.
MY VEHICLE DASH BOARD HAS A LOT OF CRACKS IN IT. I HAVE ONE NEAR MY AIRBAGS AND TWO NEAR MY STEERING WHEEL.IT RATTLES SO BAD WHEN I DRIVE. THE CRACKS KEEPS GETTING WORST.

LOSS POWER WHILE DRIVING WHILE GOING 75 MPH ON A HIGHWAY, THE.CAR WENT TO A LIMP MODE FROM 75 TO 15 MPH IN A COUPLE OF SECONDS TIME, ALMOST WAS HIT FROM BEHIND. , DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS START CYCLING, DASH LIGHTS GO ON THE BLINK, FAIL TO START & CRUISE CONTROL LOSS OF OPERATION. ID FOR RECALL IS 14V614, MY VIN CURRENTLY IS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST, BUT I AM EXPERIENCING THE EXACT SAME SYSTEM OF SAFETY ISSUES ET.. *TR
MY 2009 CHEVROLET TAHOE DASH IS CRACKING WHICH STARTED AT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. NOW THE CRACKS ARE ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THERE IS ALSO ONE AREA WHERE THE CRACKS HAVE COME TOGETHER AND CAN EASILY EXPOSE THE TRUCKS COMPONENTS UNDER THE DASH WHICH COULD INCLUDE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS. I DO NOT PLACE ITEMS ON MY DASH NOR DO I USE ANY CHEMICALS ON THE DASH IT JUST BEGAN TO CRACK.
DASH CRACKED ABOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL WHILE PARKED OVERNIGHT IN MY DRIVEWAY. WAS NOT COMPROMISED PRIOR TO CRACKING.
DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED NEAR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AND DRIVER SIDE NEAR THE DEFROST VENT- NO ACCIDENT. SIMPLY SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY OF OUR HOME. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND WHEN IT WAS HOOKED UP TO THE DIAGNOSTIC COMPUTER SYSTEM IT STATED IT WAS BC OF THE FUEL SYSTEM CONTROL MODULE WHICH IS ALREADY UNDER RECALL.

WHEN DRIVING OR SITTING IN A PARKED POSITION THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM GOES CRAZY. RADIO, DASH CONTROLS, BELLS, LIGHTS, UNLOCK/LOCK ALL START GOING ON AND OFF RANDOMLY. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR WILL ACTUALLY DIE OUT AND STALL WHILE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS GOING CRAZY. THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THEN LOCKED EITHER MY ABS OR 4WD ON THE BACK WHEELS CAUSING THE CAR TO DRIVE SLOWLY THEN WHEN I FINALLY COULD PULL OVER MY CAR WAS SMOKING FROM UNDER THE ENTIRE CAR LIKE IT WAS GOING TO CATCH ON FIRE. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNSAFE. I WAS DRIVING UP A MAIN HIGHWAY WHEN MY TRUCK STARTED FAILING IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC CAUSING ME TO PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND COAST TO THE SIDE. I THEN TRIED TO START THE TRUCK AGAIN AND IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL. AFTER TURNING EVERYTHING ON AND OFF, MOVING THE STEERING WHEEL IT FINALLY STARTED AGAIN. WHATEVER ELECTRICAL PART OR PARTS THAT RUN THE ENTIRE CAR CLEARLY HAVE A MAJOR FAULT IN THEM. THIS ISSUE IS CLEARLY DOCUMENTED ON VIDEOS AND BLOGS FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM FOR YEARS. SEARCH HOW TO FIX CHEVY ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AND YOU WILL SEE. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR SO MANY YEARS WITHOUT GM HAVING TO FIX THIS PROBLEM AT SOME POINT. IF YOU ARE NOT A MECHANIC AND TAKE YOUR CAR IN THEY ARE CHARGING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO TRY TO SEARCH FOR THE PROBLEM. IT SEEMS TO BE THE GROUND WIRES RUNNING FROM THE BATTERY ON MOST VEHICLES OR THE FUSE. THIS IS A SIMPLE FIX IF YOU ARE A MECHANIC BUT TAKING IT IN TO THE SHOP THEY CHARGE OUTRAGEOUS PRICES. THIS IS ALSO THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED MY DOOR LOCKS WERE BEING REPLACED AND WHEN THEY GAVE THE CAR BACK TO ME I IMMEDIATELY HAD TO TURN AROUND AND GO BACK. THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR AT THAT TIME AND IT HAS WORKED FINE UNTIL NOW.
CRACKS FORMING ON DASHBOARD PANEL, PRESENTS THE HAZARD OF PLASTIC DEBRIS EITHER DEFLATING THE AIR BAG UPON IT'S INFLATION OR DEBRIS FLYING INTO THE FACES OF PASSENGERS. TRANSMISSION DIPSTICK TUBE IS ALSO CRACKED WHICH ALLOWS WATER TO GET INTO THE TRANSMISSION, THIS WAS RECALLED FOR 2008 TAHOE'S BUT NOT 2009.
