System detected a slide that didn’t happen causing traction control to counter steer making the vehicle slide into a pole
P2138 code causing the car to have reduced engine power causing unsafe driving conditions and danger to other traffic. Vehicle has been to dealer multiple times for issue, ECM replaced costing thousands and still not working.
Dash cover is falling apart, a well known defect. I worry that an airbag deployment could cause dangerous shrapnel to be projected throughout the passenger compartment causing injuries like skin cuts and eye injuries.
My vehicle's throttle position sensor malfunctioned while I was driving on a busy highway at 55-60MPH, causing it to suddenly enter limp mode and display the error code P2138. This resulted in a rapid and unsafe reduction of speed to 30MPH, then down to 15MPH posing a hazard to myself and other drivers. Despite replacing both the gas pedal and the sensor itself in an attempt to rectify the issue, the problem persists. There are no prior reports made to the police, dealership, or insurance company regarding this matter.

The Side area bags are Deployed a The vehicle is parked an not be operated. It wasn’t involved in any collision, The front Dash board airbags & steering wheel air bags aren’t Deployed an are in tact….there is No Body Damged or The Vehicle was Parked Not Being Operated for Over a month I Don’t understand How The Side air bags Have ruptured without any Cause That is Very Big Danger to My self an Family…There is No warning Lamps On Or Check Engine Light activated,
I have this car since 2018. The dashboard of this car was in good condition however in the last few months we have see cracks developing near the airbag and the driver steering wheel. These are deep cracks. The car was 100% parked inside the garage. We are concerned if the airbag function will be impacted due to this cracks
Cracked dashboard. Took it to the dealer for the Airbag recall and they cracked it even worse. The dealer said well it happens to all of them. They had no solution or anything.
I purchased the gm sts2 software and program my truck and now I have no brakes, have all lights on with calibration and rams problem I’m sure that the calibration they provided to me, costed this problem and none off the lights are turning off, the truck lost brakes I have to stand on the paddle to stop the truck. Now I have no choice to send it the GM for there mistake. I spoke to acdelco sts2 rep. And he couldn’t figure out the problem. And the hybrid system issue also. Both front air bag impact sensors cracks in the middle turns the light on. That’s been a fault with all gm trucks. They need to update this problem.
Recall #09V154000 should have been performed on my vehicle according to the list of VIN #'s affected, but it never was and I was never notified of the recall. I purchased this vehicle the month before this recall was announced in 2009 and did not start having safety issues until after my new SUV warranty had expired (how convenient). Over the years, I have spent thousands of dollars replacing all kinds of sensors, relays, batteries and various other parts trying to alleviate the unsafe electrical and loss of power issues that this faulty part continues to cause. I have taken this vehicle to my local dealership on countless occasions, complaining that the vehicle intermittently: does not start, the engine suddenly dies while driving on the highway or turning a corner (becoming unsteerable and the brakes won't work), suddenly decelerates, door locks cycle rapidly while driving, the check engine light and other warning lights/alarms come on, headlights and dash lights suddenly shut off, windows or AC stops working, and now the fuel gauge only reads 1/4 tank when I just filled it up. I took the SUV to my local dealer again today, explained the intermittent electrical and loss of power issues and history again and asked why this recall had not been performed or was not scheduled to be performed at any previous time that I had brought the vehicle in for diagnostics or service on these related issues. The service manager admitted that the recall had never been performed, but denied the possibility of the FSCM causing any of these issues, regardless of the recall notice stating they were. He then refused to perform the recall and said I needed to pay $380 to have another diagnostic scan performed. Never scheduling/performing the recall when the SUV was serviced countless times for related safety issues as defined in the recall notice that they never mailed to me and refusing to perform the recall today is a violation of the US NTMV Safety Act and should have consequences!
The contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would jerk, accelerate independently and stall. The contact stated that the failures all occurred on different occasions. The contact stated the service engine warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic where the auxiliary transmission fluid pump and auxiliary transmission control module were replaced. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repairs as of yet. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 145,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PRESTON HOOD CHEVROLET (212 HOLLYWOOD BLVD NW, FORT WALTON BEACH, FL 32548) FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SOON AFTER RETRIEVING THE VEHICLE, THE BLIND SPOT DETECTION SYSTEM FAILED TO OPERATE AS NEEDED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE TURN SIGNALS MADE AN ABNORMAL CRACKING SOUND WHILE ACTIVATED. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED THE CONTACT WITH A DIAGNOSTIC FEE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

I Keep getting code p2138 car stalls check engine light turns on, stability control flashes. I have to erase code to get it drive again, but will do it again soon. Been doing it for 4+ years now. The worst time it has done it is when I'm in the freeway where I have to pull off to the side if I can, I almost got into a bad accident because of this issue. Took it to my mechanic and he says take it to the dealer. I've replaced gas pedal, throttle body and it still does it.

ON 7 OCCASIONS (AFTER 3 THEY RESET THE CODE, THEN A MONTH LATER I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN OF THEY HAD VEHICLE FOR 30 DAYS OF WHICH PUT IN 3 PARTS. AFTER 800 AT DEALERSHIP THEY CANCELLED REMAINING WARRANTY WITH AGREEMENT FOR ME TO AFFORD PAYMENT TO FIX EXCEPT IT KEPT HAPPENING. WHILE DRIVING 2009 TAHOE DRIVING APPROACHED CORNER AND BRAKE SYSTEM FAILED. WAS ABLE TO COAST TO A STOP. SHUT OFF VEHICLE AND RESTARTED VEHICLE AND IT STARTED TO WORK FINE. IT WILL NOT FIX WHILE DRIVING AND IT IS AN EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD. VEHICLE ACCELERATION HAS DELAY OR LACK OF POWER WHEN ACCELERATING. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO BRAKE, VEHICLE CONTINUES TO INCREASE MOMENTUM FOR BRIEF MOMENTS. I'VE HAD THE VEHICLE BACK FOR 2 MONTHS AND PROBLEM WITH BRAKE FAILURE AND ACCELERATION HESITATION/IN FLUCTUATIONS HAS HAPPENED AND CONTINUES TO HAPPEN. BY PHONE AGREEMENT TALKING WITH DEALERSHIP WHERE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED, WAS GOING TO RETURN VEHICLE TODAY BUT THE OWNER BILL NETTLETON REFUSED. I NEED THIS VEHICLE SAFE SO I CAN DRIVE IT OR SELL IT.
MY EMGINE HAD JUST A LITTLE OVER 100000 MILES ON IT AND I ALMOST GOT KILLED ON THE INTERSTATE. FIRST I SAW SMOKE COMING FROM BELOW AND IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS COMING FROM THE TRUCK NEXT TO MINE. THEN I FELT A STOPPING FEELING IN MY TAHOE. I MOVED QUICKLY TO THE SERVICE LANE AND GOT IT IMMEDIATELY TO MY MECHANIC. I HAVE RECORDS OF REGULAR SERVICES TO MY VEHICLE. I HAD TO REPLACE THE MOTOR $7239.49. I HAD MY ATTORNEY LOOK INTO IT AND MY YEAR PLUS A FEW OTHER YEARS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM BUT THE DEALER NEVER RECALLED IT.
CRACKED DASHBOARD. HAZZARD FAULTY INSTALLATION AND MATERIALS
THE DASH ON THE VEHICLE HAS CRACKED AT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG COVER. ALSO CRACKED ABOVE THE SPEEDOMETER. CONCERN IS THERE MAY BE HUMIDITY INGRESS TO THE AIRBAG, THE ELECTRONICS OR SUB ASSEMBLIES INCREASING THE RISK FOR AN AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT ANOMALY. ANOTHER CONCERN IS PLASTIC OR METAL FROM THE DASH COULD ALSO IMPACT THE AIRBAG (DEFLATION) OR PRESENT INJURY TO THE OCCUPANTS (FLYING PARTS). A LESSER CONCERN IS THE SENSORS FOR THE AUTOMATED AC/HEATING SYSTEMS IN THE CAR. BELIEVING THEY ARE CALIBRATED WITH SEALED INTACT COMPONENTS. THE LARGER SPLIT AT THE SPEEDOMETER HAS ONLY RECENTLY HAPPENED WHICH MAKES THIS A CONCERN THAT THERE ARE LARGER MORE UNDERPINNING ISSUES NOT FULLY REALIZED.
I HAVE A PROBLEM WHERE THE DASH CRACKS RIGHT NEXT TO THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WHICH SPLITS THE DASH AND MAKES IT WEAKER.
THE FUEL CONTROL MODULE ON THE 2009 GMC TAHOE HAS MALFUNCTIONED FOUR TIMES SINCE WE PURCHASED THE TAHO, IT HAS FAILED AS WE ARE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY COMPROMISING OUR SAFETY, IT FAILS WITHOUT WARNING, GM IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND HAS ONLY RECALLED THE EARLY MANUFACTURED VEHICLES, 27000 TO BE EXACT, HAVE TRIED TO TELL GM ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND THEY REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE IT AS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE LAST TIME IT FAILED WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY ABOUT 65-70 MILES AN HOUR WITH CHILDREN IN THE BACK SEAT, AND THE FUEL SYSTEM JUST SHUT DOWN...THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THE MANUFACTURED PART THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE WATERPROOF, BUT THE SEAL FAILS AND SHORTS OUT THE FUEL SYSTEM. THIS IS THE RECALL ON THE EARLY PART OF THE YEAR VEHICLES: GM IS RECALLING 27,188 MY 2009 CADILLAC ESCALADE, ESCALADE HYBRID, ESCALADE ESV, AND ESCALADE EXT; CHEVROLET AVALANCHE, SUBURBAN, TAHOE, TAHOE HYBRID, AND COLORADO; AND GMC YUKON, YUKON HYBRID, YUKON XL, AND CANYON VEHICLES. THE FUEL SYSTEM CONTROL MODULES MAY HAVE A CONDITION IN WHICH AN ADHESIVE SEPARATION OF THE ROOM TEMPERATURE VULCANIZING (RTV) SEAL BETWEEN THE SEAL AND THE HOUSING MAY ALLOW WATER TO SEEP INTO THE MODULE.
TAKATA RECALL WHEN IS THIS RECALL GOING TO BE FIXED. I DON'T WANT SOMETHING TO HAPPEN AND THE AIRBAGS FAIL AND SOMEONE GET HURT OR KILLED BECAUSE SO MUCH TIME IS WASTED FIXING THE ISSUE.
KEEPS LOOSING POWER AND STAKING WHILE DRIVING THE BRAKES CALIPERS ARE MALFUNCTIONING THE FUEL CONTROL MODULE IS BEING EFFECTIVE SEE THERE WAS A SAFETY RECALL ON THIS BUT MY VEHICLE IS LISTED DMFOR MAKE AND MODEL BUT NOT VIN BUT IT'S EFFECTIVE
HEAT SENSOR ON THE DASH BORD NEVER WORK CORRECTLY BECAUSE OF MY CRACK DASH BOARD. AND EVEN IT IS FREEZING OUT SIDE, WITH IN 5 MINUTES, NEEDLE WILL SHOOT TO FULL IN RED ZONE. MAKE MY CAR SHUT OFF , I HAD TO REPLACE IT 3 TIMES AT 325.00. I WOULD LIKE TO BE REIMBURSED. THE SENSOR COMES ON AT LEAST 4 TIMES A YEAR AFTER THE DASH CRACKED.

GM HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE OUT MY CAR. IT HAS BEEN IN THREE TIMES FOR AN ELTRICAL ISSUE. THE CAR REVS UP AND SPEEDS UP TO 55 MILES PER HOUR ON ITS OWN. HAS NO POWER STEERING. REDUCED ENGINE POWER. THROWING 47 CODES. NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN TRANSMISSION AND COMPUTER. STABILITY TRACK TURNS OFF. DOORS AND AUTO SHUT OFF TURN OFF AND ON WHEN THIS OCCURS.
FRONT DASHBOARD HAS TWO CRACKS. THIS IS NOT DUE TO SUN DAMAGE OR NEGLIGENCE. THIS IS A PRODUCT FAILURE.

DASH HAS CRACKED IN TWO PLACES. ABOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND AT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG
DASH CONTINUES TO CRACK. WORRIED ABOUT INTEGRITY OF DASH IN THE EVENT OF ACCIDENT DUE TO PLACEMENT OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. GM JUST RECALLED PASSENGER AIRBAG DUE TO 'SHRAPNEL' WHICH COULD ALSO BE PART OF THE DASH EXPLODING. FURTHERMORE, ONLY OPTION IS TO ADD A 'GLUE ON' COVER TO BUILD QUALITY TO OEM, BUT HAS POSSIBILITY TO COVER PASSENGER AIR BAG OR MAKE RECALL OF AIRBAG NOT POSSIBLE (OR OTHER REPAIRS POSSIBLE). GM SHOULD OFFER DASH REPLACEMENT AS A RECALL ALONG WITH PASSENGER AIRBAG.

DASH IS CRACKING IN SEVERAL PLACES, INCLUDING AROUND PASSENGER AIR BAG AND TOP OF INSTRUMENT PANEL IN FRONT OF DRIVER, CAUSING POSSIBLE UNSAFE CONDITIONS IN A COLLISION. CRACKS OCCURED UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS AND DASH WAS NOT SUBJECTED TO ANY PHYSICAL ABUSE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.

TAKATA RECALL-THE CAR WAS IN MOTION WHEN I NOTICED THE DASH CRACKED. IT'S CRACKED IN THREE DIFFERENT SECTIONS, I NOTICED THE SAME ISSUE ON OTHER TAHOE'S AND YUKON.

DASH CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES. PULLED OUT OF DRIVEWAY AND HEARD A 'POP' SOUND, STOPPED CAR AND NOTICED THAT THE DASH HAD CRACKED. I FEAR THAT PIECES OF THE DASH WOULD BE SENT FLYING IN THE EVENT OF AN AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT.
I HAVE A LARGE CRACK IN MY DASH. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT OF ANY KIND DONE. IT JUST SPLIT.
TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE TWO YEARS AGO AND MY AIR BAGS HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED. IN THE BEGINNING WHEN I WOULD CALL I WAS TOLD TO WAIT FOR A TAKE IT TO THE DEALER LETTER. TODAY I WAS TOLD BY GM THAT THE AIR BAGS IN MY VEHICLE WERE SAFE AND I WOULD NOT RECEIVE A NOTICE TO REPLACE. THE GM STATEMENT WAS READ TO ME AND WHICH IN ESSENCE STATED THAT THE CURRENT AIR BAGS WERE SAFE AS TAKATA HAD MANUFACTURED THEM UNDER THE GUIDELINES OF GM AND WERE NOT SUSPECT IN BEING DEFECTIVE. IS THIS TRUE??
IN REGARDS OF MY 2009 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ THIS VECHICLE HAS HAD SOME ISSUES IN THE FEW MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP. WHEN EVER THE CAR IS PARKED AN YOU EXIT THE SUV TO LOCK IT IT DOES NOT LOCK YOU HEAR THE CLICKING SOUND LIKE ITS LOCKED BUT WHEN YOU TRY TO OPEN THE DOOR THAT SHOULD BE LOCKED IT OPENS RIGHT UP AN THE ALARM GOES OFF AN TO MENTION THE DOOR HANDLES ARE CHIPPING AWAY AN THE PLASTIC CUTS ALMOST EVERY PERSON THAT OPENS MY DOORS THAT ARE NOT CAREFUL. AN IVE HAD TO PATCH ALMOST 5 PLACES ON MY COOLANT AN A/C LINES THAT ARE ALUMINUM VERY CHEAPLY MADE.
WHEN TRYING TO OPEN THE LIFTGAGE, EITHER MANUALLY OR BY PUSHING THE BUTTON, THE LIFTGATE OPENS PARTIALLY THEN SUDDENLY FALLS. I HAVE SEEN A RECALL FOR THIS, HOWEVER I AM NOT ABLE TO LOCATE A RECALL SPECIFICALLY FOR A 2009 CHEVROLET TAHOE. "THE AFFECTED VEHICLES HAVE GAS STRUTS THAT HOLD THE POWER LIFTGATE UP WHEN OPEN," SAID NHTSA IN ITS RECALL SUMMARY. "THESE STRUTS MAY PREMATURELY WEAR AND THE OPEN LIFTGATE MAY SUDDENLY FALL. IT MAY STRIKE A PERSON, INCREASING THEIR RISK OF INJURY."

HWY 90 FRONTAGE RD., NEW IBERIA, LA 70560) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AIR BAG PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 131,415.
ONE EVENING I DROVE TO THE STORE AND PLACED MY TRUCK ON PARK FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES WITHOUT SHUTTING THE VEHICLE OFF. ONCE I'M BACK IN AND GOING IN REVERSE I NOTICED THAT THE ASSISTED POWER STEERING WASN'T WORKING. I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY TERMINALS AND WAITED BUT THE EPS NEVER CAME BACK ON. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOED TO MY NEARBY CHEVROLET DEALER WHOM LATER CONCLUDED THAT THE STEERING GEAR AND SOME COMPUTER MODULE NEEDED REPLACED. THEY BILLED ME FOR APPROXIMATELY $2900. NOW, HERE I AM EXACTLY ONE YEAR LATER WITH THE SAME PROBLEM! EXPIRED WARRANTY AND A HUGE BILL OF REPAIR. I HAVE THE DEALER RECEIPTS ON FILE.
DASH HAS CRACKED ON PASSENGER AIRBAG AND DRIVER SIDE. PLASTIC HAS SHARP EDGES WHERE CRACKING WHEN CLEANING.
20759945 FUEL PUMP FLOW CONTROL MODULE HAS A BAD SEAL AND GETS WATER INSIDE IT JUST LIKE THE OTHERS THAT HAVE BEEN RECALLED ON MANY GM VEHICLES INCLUDING MOST OTHER 2009 CHEVY TAHOE'S. THIS IS TERRIBLY DANGEROUS AND I ALMOST WRECKED DUE TO MY VEHICLE NOT RUNNING RIGHT AFTER DRIVING THROUGH A PUDDLE ON INTERSTATE.
HAVE OWNED SINCE 2010. HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE LOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. THE THROTTLE BODY WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE IDLES ROUGH (YOU CAN FEEL IT IDLE BUT NOT ALL OF THE TIME). DEALERSHIP SAID THEY COULD NOT DETECT A ROUGH IDLE ISSUE. LATER, ANOTHER ISSUE WITH THE THROTTLE BODY CAUSING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND MISFIRES IN CYLINDER (HAVE PAPERWORK INSIDE VEHICLE) REPLACED A SENSOR RELATED TO THE THROTTLE BODY. LAST FRIDAY, MARCH 2, 2018 DRIVING ON A CROWDED DOWNTOWN STREET THE TAHOE BEGAN TO IDLE ROUGH AGAIN, TO THE POINT OF THE SEAT BELTS SHAKING AND THE ENGINE SOUNDED AS IF IT WERE ABOUT TO LOSE POWER AGAIN (BEEN THERE DONE THAT). ARRIVED AT WORK PLACED THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND THE TRACTION CONTROL/STABILITRAK MESSAGE APPEARED THAT BOTH WERE OFF, THEN THE WARNING SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL FLASHED THEN TO SERVICE STABILITRAK. I LOOKED INTO THE ISSUE AND CALLED THE DEALER SHIP AS WELL AS THE WARRANTY FOLKS TELLING THEM OF THE ISSUE MADE APPT FOR FOLLOWING DAY TO BRING IN. WENT TO DRIVE HOME, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NOW ON AND THE CAR IS ROCKING AND SOUNDS LIKE IT MIGHT STALL OUT IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. LIMPED THE CAR TO THE CLOSEST DEALER OUT OF FEAR OF AN ACCIDENT SHOULD THE CAR SHUT DOWN DRIVING HOME. RESEARCHED ONLINE, FOUND THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH A TSB ISSUED # 11273 THAT NOONE HAS EVER MENTIONED WITH THE MULTIPLE TIMES THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN REPAIRED DUE TO THE ISSUE LISTED IN THE BULLETIN THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED A DEVASTATING ACCIDENT AS I DRIVE 5 - 6 KIDS TO SCHOOL EVERY MORNING AND CAN NOT IMAGINE WHY THIS WAS NOT SHARED WITH ME AS AN OWNER (REGISTERED WITH GMS WEBSITE WITH THE VIN) SO I AM SURE TO RECEIVE UPDATES FOR ISSUES JUST LIKE THIS, THAT NO ONE HAS EVER MENTIONED EVEN THOUGH THE REPAIRS ARE IDENTICAL TO WHAT IS STATED IN THE GM ISSUED TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN # 11273.
