DASH HAS STARTED CRACKING MORE STARTED ON TOP BY GAUGES AND NOW HAS ANOTHER CRACK BY AIRBAG ON PASS SIDE. CALLED DEALERSHIP SAID ITS OUT OF WARRANTY GM WONT COVER IT, ALTHOUGH ITS MANUFACTURED DEFECT.
MY DASH HAS 2 CRACKS THAT HAVE APPEARED UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE DASH IS STARTING TO BOUNCE AS I DRIVE AND IM WORRIED IT WILL BECOME SEPARATED AND HIT SOMEONE IN THE TRUCK. THERE ARE SO MANY TAHOE OWNERS WHO HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM, IT IS OBVIOUS THAT IT IS A DEFECTIVE PART. I HAVE A CRACK IN THE CENTER AND 1 OVER THE DRIVER SIDE GAUGES.
STARTED WITH A #4 MISFIRE AND NO ENGINE POWER AND DEALER SAID TRUCK WAS FINE. FINALLY AFTER 4 CYLINDER MISFIRING, DEALER AGREED TRUCK HAD AN ISSUE AND IS NOW SAYING I NEED A VALVE JOB DONE FOR # 1800.00 BUT IT LOOKS LIKE I SHOULD TELL THEM THAT ITS THE LIFTERS.. 74,000 ON MY 2007 TAHOE FOR A 25,000.00 TRUCK NOT ONLY THAT BUT THEY ARE SAYING IF THAT DON'T FIX IT THEN I NEED TO PAY 3500.00 FOR A CAM SHAFT. ITS RUNNING BUT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON.
DASHBOARD CRAKED FROM ONE END OF THE PASSENGER SIDE TO THE OTHER END OF THE DRIVERS SIDE. ITS BEING GOING ON OVER TIME, I CAN ONLY THINK IT HAPPENED WHEN IS STATIONARY. HOWEVER, IT MIGHT OF CRACKED WHEN DRIVING ASWELL.
VEHICLE DASH HAS STARTED CRACKING AROUND THE AIR BAG AND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. THIS CAN AND WILL AFFECT THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG AND COULD SEND FLYING DEBRIS INTO THE VEHICLE OR CUT THE AIR BASE UPON DEPLOYMENT. SOME ESTIMATES ARE THAT 80% OF THE 2009 MODEL YEAR HAVE CRACKED. DEALERSHIP STATES THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE AND HAVE REPAIRED SO MANY THEY HAVE IT DONE TO HALF A DAY. COST TO REPAIR IS 1200 DOLLARS. GM WAS CONTACTED AND STATE THEY CANNOT HELP US DUE TO THE FACT WE ARE SECOND OWNERS. VEHICLE HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED AND HAS NOT BE OFF ROAD NOR HAS IT HAD ANY CHEMICALS PLACED ON THE DASH. CRACKS ARE IN THE SAME PLACE AS EVERYONE ELSE'S. SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH SHOWS THE MASSIVE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE. IN MY WIFE'S CASE, HER VEHICLE, IN MY OPINION, IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. AFTER CALLING GM AND THE DEALERSHIP REPEATEDLY, THEY HAVE OFFERED NO HELP EXCEPT TO CHARGE ME FULL PRICE FOR THE REPAIR. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE TO SELL THESE VEHICLES KNOWING THE DASH WON'T LAST AND THEN TAKE NO ACTION TO CORRECT AN OBVIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. I WOULD BE CURIOUS TO SEE ONE OF THESE CRASH TESTED WITH A BIG PIECE OF BROKEN PLASTIC IN THE FLIGHT PATH OF AN AIRBAG.
THE DASHBOARD CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES ALTHOUGH THIS CAR HAS ALWAYS GARAGED AND THE SUN SHIELD USED CONSISTENTLY. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THIS AFFECTING SAFETY THROUGH AIRBAG PERFORMANCE OR SHARP PIECES OF DASH FLYING DURING AN ACCIDENT.
WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE I STARTED TO HEAR THIS CRACKING SOUND IN WHICH I NOTICED THAT THE CRACK WAS COMING ACROSS MY DASHBOARD. IT STARTED ON THE PASSENGER FRONT SIDE FROM THE AIRBAG AND CAME ALL THE WAY ACROSS TO THE DRIVER SIDE AND UP TOWARDS STEERING WHEEL. NOW IT JUST FLAPS WHILE DRIVING AS IT IS OPEN AND EXPOSED AND I AM VERY CONCERNED IN REGARDS TO AIRBAG SAFETY AT THIS POINT. MY TAHOE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION MIGHT I ADD. IRONICALLY MY SISTER HAS THE EXACT SAME CAR AS ME AND SHE HAS THE EXACT SAME CRACK IN HER DASHBOARD AS WELL STARTING AND ENDING IN THE SAME PLACE.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V381000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED THE LOCAL DEALER (BILL BUCK CHEVROLET, 2324 SOUTH TAMIAMI TR., VENICE, FL 34293, (941) 584-8688) SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,939. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE. *TT
PURCHASED VEHICLE FEB 2012. THE DASH BECAME CRACKED ABOVE STEERING WHEEL WITHIN A YEAR OF OWNERSHIP, HAD DASH REPLACED AT CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP IN MAY 2013. WITHIN 3 YEARS THE NEW DASH STARTED TO CRACK ALSO AND HAS CONTINUED TO CRACK IN MULTIPLE PLACES; ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL AND AROUND PASSENGER SIDE DASH AIRBAG. WE LIVE WITHIN CITY LIMITS ON PAVED ROADS, WE ALSO HAVE A PAVED DRIVEWAY.
MY DASHBOARD HAS A CRACK IN IT....I AM AFRAID IT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PROTECT ME IN A CRASH (MAY EFFECT AIRBAGS).
MY 2009 CHEVROLET TAHOE HAS DEVELOPED NUMEROUS CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD INCLUDING AROUND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. MY BIGGEST CONCERN IS THAT IS I GET INTO AN ACCIDENT, ARE PIECES OF THE DASH GOING TO BE SHOT AT/INTO PASSENGER AND/OR DRIVER/ I HAVE TRIED TO GET GM/CHEVROLET TO REPLACE AND THEIR OPTION WAS FOR ME TO SPEND $800 TO REPLACE THEIR DASHBOARD THAT HAS MATERIAL DEFECTS. THAT DOES NOT SEEM ACCEPTABLE AND I AM SURE IS NOT PRACTICAL CONSIDERING I HAVE READ THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME ISSUE. CAN THE NHTSA HELP?

WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED, THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE ELEVATED, THE TIRE PRESSURE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED CONTINUOUSLY, AND THE AIR CONDITIONER ACTIVATED AS THE VEHICLE REMOTE LOCKED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
THE DASH IS CRACKED IN 2 PLACES NEAR THE PASSENGER DASH AIRBAG AND DIRECTLY UP THE DASH WHERE THE SPEEDOMETER IS LOCATED. I'M CONCERNED THIS COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT.
MY DASH IS CRACKING AND GETTING WORSE EVERY DAY. I'VE SEEN HUNDREDS OF PICTURES OF SIMILAR GM VEHICLES THAT HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. I'VE BEEN DEALING WITH MY INSURANCE ON THIS ISSUE FOR OVER A YEAR AND HAVE CONCLUDED THAT THIS IS A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. MY ONE OF MY CRACKS HAS REACHED THE PASSENGER AIRBAG AND MAY BECOME A HUGE LIABILITY FOR THE MANUFACTURER. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS ON MOVING FORWARD?
TAHOE LOOSES ALL ELECTRICAL POWER WONT CRANK, RADIO GOES OFF WHILE DRIVING, DOOR LOCKS GO UP AND ENGINE GOES INTO LOSE OF POWER VOLT GAUGE DROPS BELOW 14V ,STOP. TRUCK GO TO CRANK NO ELECTRICAL POWER, GO TO TOUCH BATTERY CABLES THEN IT WILL START HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CORRECT PROBLEM, INTRARNATE IS FULL OF SAME PROBLEM
THE BATTERY LIGHT TURNS ON. UT READS CHECK BATTERY SYSTEM.
IN OCTOBER OF 2015, I WAS DRIVING MY 2009 CHEVROLET TAHOE ON A CITY STREET DURING NORMAL WEATHER CONDITIONS. AS I WAS SITTING AT A RED LIGHT, I HEARD A LOUD "POP" NOISE THAT I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT CAME FROM AN OBJECT HITTING THE WINDSHIELD. UPON FURTHER REVIEW, I NOTICED MY DASHBOARD HAD INEXPLICABLY CRACKED IN 2 PLACES. THE CRACKS ARE RATHER LARGE AND I AM CONCERNED THIS WILL JEOPARDIZE THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAGS. I CONTACTED THE LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THEY WERE NOT AWARE OF ANY RECALLS REGARDING THIS MATTER.
LIGHT COMES ON ABS TRACTION CONTROL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS CRACKED IN FOUR PLACES AND THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS EXPOSED. IN ADDITION, THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATORS FAILED ON ALL FOUR DOORS AND THE RUNNING BOARDS FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
THE DASHBOARD IS CRACKED IN TWO PLACES .
THE DASH ON MY TAHOE HAS BROKEN RIGHT NEXT TO THE PASSENGER AIR BAG. IT HAS ACTUALLY BROKEN A PIECE OF IN THE AIR BAG. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES AS THE DASH IS NOT STRUCTURALLY SOUND. MY FEAR IS THAT IF THE AIR BAG IS DEPLOYED THAT SHARDS OF PLASTIC WILL BE EMBEDDED IN THE PASSENGER. THIS IS THE ONLY DEFECT ON THE DASH AND IT APPEARS TO HAVE HAPPENED AT THE WEAKEST POINT.
MY DASH IS CRACKED ACROSS HUMP OVER SPEEDOMETER GAUGES AND CRACKED ON SIDE OF PASSENGER AIRBAG. JUST GOT IN MY CAR ONE MORNING TO NOTICE THE DASH CRACKED IN TWO PLACES. WORRY ABOUT IT CRACKING MORE AND IF PASSENGER AIRBAG GOES OFF, POSSIBLY SOME PIECES BREAK OFF AND FLY WITH AIRBAG.
THE DASH BOARD IS CRACKED IN THREE DIFFERENT SPOTS AND ONE IS RIGHT AT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG. THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT FIX CAUSE IT'S NOT UNDER WARRANTY. I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND GM NEEDS TO FIX THIS ISSUE.

THE DASH IS CRACKING IN 2 PLACES. ONE AT THE AIRBAG WHICH IS A CONCERN IF IT CAUSES A MALFUNCTION WITH THE AIRBAG AND THE OTHER IS OVER THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WHERE I AM SURE WHEN DUST AND DIRT GETS DOWN IN IT, THERE WILL BE MORE DAMAGE CAUSED

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DASHBOARD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.

THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000.
THE DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED AND REPOSITIONED ITSELF. THESE CRACKS OCCURRED OVER A PERIOD OF 3 WEEKS UNTIL THE DASH REPOSITIONED ITSELF. THESE CRACKS OCCURRED IN THE NORMAL COURSE OF DRIVING AND PARKING THE VEHICLE. THIS REPOSITIONING IS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE CRACKS. THE PASSENGER AIRBAG APPEARS TO BE AFFECTED BY THIS CONDITION POSING A SAFETY RISK TO ANY FRONT SEAT PASSENGER. THESE RISKS INCLUDE IMPROPER DEPLOYMENT OF AIRBAG PREVENTING PROPER PASSENGER PROTECTION IN A COLLISION AND PIECES OF THE DASH BECOMING SHARP PLASTIC PROJECTILES IF THE AIRBAG DOES DEPLOY CAUSING SERIOUS BODILY INJURY AND POSSIBLY DEATH.
DASH CRACKING AND CAUSING IMPAIRED VISON
THE DASH HAS CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES. WHAT IS ALARMING IS THERE ARE CRACKS AROUND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG AND IF IT EVER DEPLOYS I'M AFRAID THERE WILL BE EXPLODING PIECES OF THE DASH GOING EVERYWHERE. THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT GETS TIGHT AND WILL NOT RELEASE UNTIL FULLY RETRACTED.
ON JUNE 16, 2015, I SLOWED TO GET OFF A HIGHWAY IN MAINE AND IMMEDIATELY NOTICED THAT THE BRAKES WERE NOT SLOWING PROPERLY. SOON AFTER I HEARD A CLUCKING NOISE AND THOUGHT I RAN OVER SOMETHING THAT SOUNDED LIKE METAL. I CHECKED BUT SAW NOTHING, BUT I NOTICED THAT THE BRAKES LOOKED VERY BLUE LIKE THEY HAD BEEN RUNNING HOT. A SHORT DISTANCE DOWN THE ROAD THE SOUND GOT WORSE. I CONTACTED A CHEVROLET DEALER. FORTUNATELY THEY WERE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE ME THE NEXT MORNING. I DID NOT USE MY CAR FOR THE REST OF THAT DAY. UPON INSPECTION OF THE FRONT NOISE THEY SHOWED ME THAT THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL WAS ABOUT TO FALL OFF AND THE LEFT FRONT WAS GRINDING AND READY TO FAIL. THE ROTORS HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO THE HIGH HEAT, AND BLUING WAS CAUSING CHIPPING OFF AND BRAKE FAILURE. I SHOULD MENTION THAT THIS 2009 VEHICLE ONLY HAD 48,793 MILES ON IT, AT THE TIME OF THE FAILURE. THE BEST PART IS THAT THE VEHICLE HAD A FULL INSPECTION ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. SO, THE END RESULT WAS THAT BOTH FRONT WHEEL HUB BEARING ASSEMBLIES HAD TO BE REPLACED, ALONG WITH THE BOTH FRONT ROTORS, BRAKES AND CALIBERS. THE DEALER TRIED TO TELL ME THAT THE CALIBERS WERE STILL GOOD, HOWEVER I HAD THEM REPLACED BECAUSE THEY WERE ALSO OVERHEATED. ANYONE WHO KNOWS MECHANICS SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT IN THIS SITUATION AFTER RUNNING HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THAT THERE WOULD BE OVERHEATING OF THE CALIBERS ALONG WITH ROTORS AND BRAKES WHEN THE WHEEL HUBS ARE NOT RUNNING SMOOTH. I QUESTION WHY THESE WHEEL BEARING FAILED AT SUCH LOW MILEAGE. I TAKE EXCELLENT CARE OF MY VEHICLES. ON 12/31/2013 AT 40,126 MILES I HAD NEW BRAKES AND ROTORS INSTALLED, AND HAD THE BRAKE FLUID CHANGED. STILL GM DOESN'T THINK THAT THEY HAVE ANY RESPONSIBILITY TO REIMBURSE ME FOR THE CALIBERS, ROTORS, AND BRAKES THAT WERE DAMAGED BECAUSE OF THE PREMATURE FAILURE OF MY FRONT WHEEL HUBS.

THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
CRACKS ON DASH AND CORNER OF PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG ON DASH
CRACKED DASHBOARD AND SPREADING - MY 2009 DASHBOARD HAS LARGE CRACKS IN SEVERAL PLACES AND IS NOW EXPOSING THE ELECTRICAL UNDERNEATH. NOT ONLY DO I FIND THIS VERY ALARMING SEEING AS THE AIRBAGS ARE UNDERNEATH BUT THE PROBLEM IS ONLY GETTING WORSE , IN MOTION OR NOT , AND THE RATTLING SOUNDS OF ALL THE PIECES HAVE BECOME SUPER ANNOYING. GM THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AND FIXED! TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!!
I HAVE 2 LARGE CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD OF MY 2009 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ. I HAVE ALWAYS KEPT A SUNSHIELD IN THE WINDOW TO REDUCE INTERIOR HEAT AND DAMAGE TO DASH. BUT, THIS DIDN'T WORK. THE DAMAGE HAPPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN FRONT OF MY HOME. I BELIEVE THAT THE PROBLEM COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THE MANUFACTURER HAD USED A THICKER MATERIAL (PLASTIC) FOR THE DASH. I LOVE THE VEHICLE. BUT, HATE TO LOOK AT THE CRACKS EVERY TIME I GET IN. I INQUIRED INTO REPLACEMENT OF THE DASH AND WAS GIVEN A ROUGH ESTIMATE OF $1500-1800.
THE DASHBOARD ON MY 2009 TAHOE CRACKED JUST TO THE LEFT OF THE AIRBAG ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND THEN SEVERAL MONTHS LATER CRACKED ABOVE THE GAUGE CLUSTER. I CONTACTED GM, ALONG WITH MANY OTHER OWNERS WITH THIS ISSUE, AS I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY - SINCE IT WAS SO CLOSE TO THE AIR BAG.
I HAVE TWO CRACKS IN MY DASH BOARD RIGHT BY WHERE MY AIR BAGS ARE. ONE IS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND THE OTHER IS ON THE DRIVER SIDE. I VIEW THIS HAS A SAFETY HAZARD, IF FOR SOME REASON I AM IN A WRECK I DO NOT KNOW HOW THIS WOULD AFFECT MYSELF OR MY DAUGHTER OR EVEN IF THIS WOULD PREVENT THE AIR BAGS FROM DEPLOYING. I HAVE CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM THEM WHAT GM WILL DO ABOUT THIS SITUATION..REPLACE..REPAIR ETC.
THE 2009 CHEVROLET TAHOE AUTOMATIC LIFT GATE BECAME A SIGNIFICANT DANGER TO THOSE ACCESSING THE REAR COMPARTMENT OF THE VEHICLE. TYPICAL OPERATION OF THE AUTOMATIC LIFT GATE IS THAT THE REAR HATCH OPENS COMPLETELY AND REMAINS OPEN WITH A SINGLE BUTTON CLICK. THE SAME AUTOMATIC LIFT GATE TYPICALLY CLOSES AND REMAINS SHUT WITH A SINGLE BUTTON CLICK. ON OR AROUND MAY 28TH, 2015, MY SON WAS PLACING SEVERAL ITEMS IN THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE WHEN THE LIFTGATE BEGAN SHUTTING ON HIM. IN AN ATTEMPT TO HOLD THE LIFTGATE OPEN, IT CONTINUED TO CLOSE FORCEFULLY WITHOUT RAISING BACK UP. THINKING QUICKLY I WAS ABLE TO PULL HIM AWAY FROM THE LIFTGATE AS IT CONTINUED TO CLAMP ANYTHING IN ITS PATH. MY SON RECEIVED A BUMPED HEAD AND SCRATCHES AS THE DOOR SHUT ON HIM. THE ISSUE APPEARED TO BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE THAT CAUSED THE LIFTGATE TO CLOSE FORCEFULLY AND CLAMP SHUT WITHOUT CONSIDERATION OF ANYTHING IN ITS PATH. I ALSO WAS NOT ABLE TO PREVENT THE LIFTGATE FROM CLOSING AS IT JUST CLAMPED SHUT, CRUSHING ANYTHING IN ITS PATH. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN AND WE FEAR THAT OTHER PEOPLE MAY BE INJURED OR KILLED AS A RESULT OF THIS MALFUNCTION. THERE IS NO RAPID FUNCTIONALITY TO OVERRIDE THE THE MOTOR (SWITCHING TO MANUAL) THAT CONTROLS LIFTGATE OPERATIONS. THIS COULD VERY WELL HAVE CRUSHED MY CHILD IF I HADN'T BEEN STANDING NEXT TO HIM. OTHER ISSUES THAT OCCURRED AT THE SAME TIME WITHIN THE VEHICLE INCLUDED: 1) A SINGLE EVENT WHERE THE RADIO STAYED ON ONE CHANNEL AND WOULD NOT CHANGE WITHOUT RESTARTING THE CAR WAS WHEN THE ISSUE BEGAN; 2) XM SATELLITE RADIO BEGAN WORKING WITHOUT A SUBSCRIPTION; 3) THE AUTOMATIC MEMORY POSITION OF THE DRIVER SEAT DID NOT REMAIN IN POSITION AS TYPICAL; AND 4) THE LIFTGATE WOULD AUTOMATICALLY OPEN ABOUT 18 INCHES AND IMMEDIATELY CLOSE, CRUSHING ANYTHING IN ITS PATH.
THE DASHBOARD ABOVE THE STEERING COLUMN AND GAUGES PANEL IS CRACKED ON TWO PLACES AND JUST KEEPS GETTING BIGGER. IT RATTLES LOUDLY AS I DRIVE DOWN THE STREET.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I PULLED OVER AND THERE WAS NO OIL. IT HAS BEEN USING OILEVER SINCE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE, IT WILL USE ANYWHERE FROM A 1 1/2 TO 2 QUARTS OF OIL IN BETWEEN OIL CHANGES

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DOOR LOCKS FAILED TO OPERATE. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR LOCKS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. AT APPROX. 60K MILEAGE IT WAS NOTICED THAT THE DASHBOARD TOP LEFT CORNER OF THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WAS CRACKED. VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO A GM DEALERSHIP AND IT WAS REPLACED. AT 113K MILEAGE, THE CRACK IS NOW IN THE SAME EXACT PLACE ON THE PASSENGER AIRBAG AS WELL AS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. BECAUSE WE ARE OUT OF THE 100K WARRANTY GM REFUSES TO PAY. WE ARE OUT OF POCKET $950 TO REPLACE WITH NO ASSURANCE IF LEFT CRACKED IT WILL NOT CAUSE A SAFETY HAZARD IF AIRBAG IS DEPLOYED. THIS IS THE 4TH GM VEHICLE WITH THE EXACT CRACK. *TR
