I am having power steering issues. I reached out to Chevrolet and they said in their system the recall was performed in 2019 prior to me purchasing the vehicle in 2021. I should not have to pay for an issue that was recalled. I’m unaware of what was done prior to my purchase of the vehicle in 2021
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 MPH, the braking system's failure message was displayed. The contact stated that the vehicle had stopped independently. The vehicle was turned off and restarted and continued driving, but stated that the warning light was illuminated while driving downhill. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V761000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Service Brakes, Electronic Stability Control (ESC). The contact was advised by the dealer that the recall repair had been completed in June 2020. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 134,916.
Either the transmission or torque converter went out, one or both completely failed.
The failure is believed to have originated in the fuel delivery system, specifically the check valve in the low-pressure fuel feed jumper line at the engine. This valve failed to seat properly, allowing high-pressure pulses to travel back into the low-pressure side of the system. This malfunction caused the S-shaped portion of the fuel feed line near the tank to vibrate excessively against its mounting clip. This constant friction wore through the line, resulting in an active fuel leak. All damaged components remain on the vehicle and are available for inspection upon request. The safety of the driver, passengers, and the public is at immediate risk due to a severe fire hazard. Because the leak is located near the fuel tank and undercarriage, gasoline is being released where it could be ignited by road sparks, static electricity, or exhaust heat. A fuel leak of this nature threatens a catastrophic fire that could result in vehicle loss or personal injury. The problem has been confirmed via a physical inspection that matches the symptoms documented in a GM Service Bulletin (Recall - High Pressure Fuel Pump Leakage). While the vehicle has not yet been subjected to a formal tear-down by a dealer due to the danger of driving it with a leak, the visual evidence at the exact location specified in manufacturer documentation confirms the failure. To date, the vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. Prior to the leak, the primary symptoms were an audible rattling and ticking noise from the engine bay and underside, characteristic of the pressure pulses described in the TSB. There were no warning lamps or dashboard messages, as the mechanical wear on the exterior of the fuel line occurred outside the scope of the vehicle’s onboard diagnostic sensors.
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and attempting to depress the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to slow down or stop as intended. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with vacuum pump and brake booster failure. The vehicle was later towed to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with brake booster failure. The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V645000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the warranty had expired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 135,436.
My transmission just randomly went out. I had my car evaluated in December of 2025 and nothing was reported on the transmission at all and as Jan 2026 my transmission went out.
The brakes have stopped working properly. I have to use my entire force and press the brakes so hard to stop.
Vehicle cranked longer than usual, noticed slight smell of fuel. After arriving home noticed fuel smell was very strong and a puddle of raw fuel under vehicle. Fuel line appears to have rubbed/vibrated against the frame of the vehicle causing the line to rupture. Date of incident 12-26-2025. No MIL or warning messages were present. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than myself for this incident. I feel this issue could have resulted in serious injury or death of my entire family and possibly others on the road. The vehicle has not been modified in anyway and is in OEM configuration. We will have to have the vehicle repaired but will document as best we can. I would like to add that after a quick internet search I found this to be a common issue so I was amazed there was no recall on our Tahoe. Thank you.
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle hesitated and the temperature gauge failed to function as needed, with an abnormally loud sound coming from the cooling fans. The check engine warning light illuminated, and a message about the battery was displayed, and a warning light about the battery was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the thermostat housing had failed and the wiring to the fan had failed. The vehicle was repaired. Several days later, the contact stated that on a separate occasion, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined that the catalytic converter had failed. The vehicle was repaired; however, the same day the vehicle was picked up from the independent mechanic, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the timing chain had failed. The vehicle remained at the dealer unrepaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 165,880.
Had to have motor replaced due to faulty lifters which in turn damaged the motor. No, I didn’t check with dealers, independent service centers. However, it was inspected by an independent individual who handles these type of issues on Tahoes, Suburbans, etc. Lifter issues happened in November of 2025. My vehicle is still in the shop at this writing having a new motor installed. I have never been notified of any recall for this type of issue for my particular vehicle which seems to be a common issue. Also had issues with sensors and a/c.
The park assist enabled flashed and when I brake it studders or I have to slam on my brakes because my car won’t stop. I see this is a recall on other tahoes but not mine!
I recently purchased this vehicle about five months ago. I took it to Riverside Chevrolet to get a diagnostic on it because my steering wheel is locked all the lights on the dashboard are on in the vehicle is not drivable almost a month and a half of Riverside Chevrolet and they could not get a diagnostic on it. Apparently the technicians there were not able to figure out what’s wrong with it. The vehicle is not drivable and it is a safety hazard

I am leaking fuel from the fuel lines connected to the fuel tank. I can smell the fumes inside of the cab. I also can see the fuel leaking under the driver seat.
I really don't know what happened I was coming from okmulgee Oklahoma I went to turn my signal on to get in left lane and my truck just put itself in accessory mode and I couldn't steer causing my truck to keep straight instead of switching lanes causing me to run into a construction merge sign that damaged my truck my insurance wouldn't cover the damages cause they said it sounds like a malfunction with my truck that I need to contact dealer
Fuel line leak. After researching it appears there was a safety recall for this in the 2015 Chevy Tahoe.
The passenger seat belt won’t click in sometimes or it will click in and get unclicked on it own. After multiple tries it clicks in most times
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 169,000.
The 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe seems to be known for thermostat failure. My thermostat gauge while driving would drop from 210 to 160 and stay pinned on 160 and the fans would turn on. I was told by an auto body shop that it seemed to be electric issues. I also had a wire under the car catch fire and the auto body shop said that is why my standing lights would not work in the rear but my brake lights would work. It’s very dangerous that the electrical failure caused a fire to start under the car. Then, I ran into another issue just this week where the vehicle has a cracked AC condenser and is slowly losing coolant. It’s a manufacturing issue because all of them seem to crack and we’re not made with a proper seal. Another electrical issue I have is when I turn the wheel all the way to the left or right, even when the key is in and engine is on, the engine will shut off. The car completely shuts off and then I have to turn the key to the off position and then it will turn right back on. The steering wheel is also losing power steering and gets very tight when I have to make a turn. The fuses for my radio are blown and when you put new ones in, it blows immediately and doesn’t turn on. I have MANY issues with this vehicle and it’s obviously a manufacturer issue. This is not ok for a vehicle to all around have such horrible electrical issues. I have had issues driving over a pothole and I lose my radio screen or my whole dash screen and then the dealer and auto body shops say the electrical work is too in depth for them.
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the pre-tensioner cable for the driver’s side seat belt snapped, and the contact was no longer able to drive the vehicle due to the seat belt failure. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed, and the contact was advised that the pre-tensioner cable was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 230,000.
The transmission out of no where started to hard shift from 2nd to 3rd gear then making noises. Spoke with a mechanic who specializes in transmission he had 2 other tahoes same year same problem that are in front of mine to work on.
I have a 2015 Chevy Tahoe LTZ I bought used 10/12/2024 with 100,000 miles on it. I purchased it from a family member that took great care of it. Always garaged and kept up with all the maintenance's regularly. In March of 2025, we noticed how uncomfortable and terribly bumpy it was riding. I looked it up and discovered that many people with this "Magnetic Ride Control" installed on many other vehicles had to replace them. I thought for sure this would have a recall. And to my disappointment, it was not a recall. I had to pay over $3000 dollars to repair this, which I don't have. Can you please look into this and make the manufacture or someone accountable for such a terrible design. Thank you bumpy it was riding. I’ve had to have the fuel line replaced 3 times because of fuel leaks.
My truck Keeps Shutting off and steering locks up
The audio system changes radio stations on its on. It also attaches or disconnects Bluetooth devices on its on. This has affected the video player and it no longer works.
Vacuum pump and vacuum pump belt replacement. Experiencing increased brake pedal effort, hard brake pedal, and increased stopping distance. Confirmed by an auto shop and mechanic that this is the issue. There was special coverage given by General Motors to this vehicle to address this issue that expired in November (but I did not know that this existed). The vehicle has not yet hit 150,000 miles. Request to have my Tahoe special coverage warranty extended to address this issue.
Service Trailer Brake system message is appearing.
While driving multiple times the vehicle has completely lost power or almost died in the middle of the roadway. It has been taken to the dealership multiple times and they are reporting transmission and catalytic converter issues, however these issues were present at 20,000 miles and taken back to the dealership to be fixed. This is now a reoccurrence of issue and the dealership refused to warranty or fix the reoccurring issue. Loss of power while driving and random acceleration have occurred and almost caused accidents on multiple occasions
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while stopped and attempting to make a left turn, the vehicle started jerking, failed to accelerate as intended, and lost motive power. The check engine and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and turned off. The vehicle was restarted, and the warning lights remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the #7 valve lifter had collapsed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was scheduled to be repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.
The vacuum pump has failed once again and it was repaired via a recall in 2019.
Fuel pouring from underneath the truck
While driving at low speeds, I am experiencing difficulty with braking. The brake becomes very hard to press down and it takes me longer to stop. I researched this and came across a recall for a vacuum pump issue. I believe this is exactly what is wrong with my vehicle. However, when I input my VIN into the recall website, it says my vehicle is not included in the recall. How can I get this issue covered without having to pay out of pocket (we were quoted over $700). I fear that I may cause an accident if I am unable to stop.
The trailer brake system continues to alert due to a wire control harness that’s defective. I’ve spent a ton trying to repair it but it continues to damage other parts of my car like the alternator and battery this week
Trailer brake system alert pop up a lot. With no reason.
Transmission delays in shifts. Whine coming from transmission as well. New torque converter and thermal bypass installed with new transmission fluid and filter. Truck was diagnosed and it’s okay in Chevrolets computers. This is a scary and unsafe way of feeling scared if transmission will fail.
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was an abnormally strong odor inside the vehicle. The contact stopped the vehicle to complete an inspection of the vehicle. The contact became aware that there was a large fuel leak on the ground. The contact stated that when the vehicle was turned off the fuel leak stopped. The contact stated that fuel only leaked out when the vehicle was running. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact researched and discovered TSB: 17-NA-304; however, the contact was informed that the repair could not be covered under the TSB. The failure mileage was approximately 220,000.
The vehicle information system, Radio, Maps, Phone goes uncontrolled, Changes volume, radio station changes randomly and sometimes won't allow the driver to even turn off the radio; makes calls from phone contacts while driving randomly and there's NO WAY to hang up! Unable to change time on screen, plus other random electronic actions. This distracts the driver in numerous ways, diverting attention from driving while trying to manage the issue; unable to hang-up a random phone call while driving.
The high pressure fuel pump may leak resulting in fuel odor and increased evaporative emissions. The engine may also fail to start or provide less power when driven due to insufficient fuel pressure. Recall came out on February 2015 Bulletin No.: 14858 Part Number: 12626354 Description Intake Manifold Gasket 12618337 Intermediate Fuel Feed Pipe 8/V8 Engine 12625817 Fuel Pump SERVICE PROCEDURE
Brakes shutter in reverse. Sometimes don’t work when backing out. Almost as if brakes go limp or no connection
Keeps saying service trailer brake system and does not stop ringing in the dashboard it’s very distracting while driving .
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle shuddered. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed with a high-pressure fuel pump leak. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V837000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the model year was not included in the recall. The dealer confirmed that the vehicle was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and also confirmed that the vehicle was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
the radio, the vehicle will just completely shut down, and stop in the middle of driving. the vehicle has been to repair person, who can't seem to find out what is happening. I have not taken it to a Chevy dealership this time, nothing has been inspected by police or insurance. no crash has happened, yet!!!!!! just before the engine would cut off, the stabilitrack would light up, but that is because of no steering during the time the engine shut down. It take the vehicle about 3 seconds to 1 minute for the vehicle reset and restart. this is very dangerous because I could get into an accident. the mechanic I took my SUV to couldn't find a code to repair the issue. there is definitely something wrong with my SUV
When trying to brake the Tahoe seems to not want to stop. The Tahoe comes to a rolling stop or like it is in sand trying to stop. It eventually stops but not when you want it to. Happens more at low speeds then high speeds.. no lights have indicated a problem. And doesn’t do it all the time but you as a driver can’t trust the brakes! I have had my mechanic look at it he can’t find a problem because when he drives it the Tahoe won’t do it for him. Hasn’t been in an accident yet
Car seat straps are fraying at the hip level on both sides after only 3.5 months of normal/light use. Company will only offer replacement of exact same seat/model even after expressing concerns over safety of this seat.
