I HAVE A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE, I TOOK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A RECALL, ASK IF THERE WAS ANYMORE, I WAS TOLD NO! NOW MY A/C IS BLOWING HOT AIR. I WENT TO DEALERSHIP TO GET FREON, I WAS THEN TOLD MY A/C CONDENSER WAS CRACKED. WHEN I ASK ABOUT RECALL I WAS TOLD "NO IT IS A SPECIAL COVERAGE THAT YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR?? NOW MY TAHOE HAS 60,195 AND I WAS INFORMED IT WAS TO LATE TO GET HELP WITH.. HOW DOES THAT WORK, I HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED MY TAHOE HAS ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT BUT I HAVE TO BRING IT TO YOUR ATTENTION FIRST?? PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND THIS. I SPENT 52 THOUSAND DOLLARS ON THIS VEHICLE AND I HAVE TO TELL YOU WHAT IS WRONG YOU CAN'T TELL ME?? I LIVE IN MISSISSIPPI WHERE IT IS VERY HOT AND HUMID AND THIS TAHOE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE IN THESE CONDITIONS. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER ONE AND I HAVE PURCHASED 5 PRIOR TO NOW. THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK WITH EITHER THE KEY FOB OR THE UNLOCK BUTTON INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CHILDREN ARE NOT ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE ON THAT SIDE AND MUST EXIT ON THE STREET SIDE. THE CONCERN LIES IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY, THE PASSENGER IN THE BACK SEAT MAY NOT EXIT THE VEHICLE NOR MAY ANYONE ENTER FROM THAT DOOR AS IT IS LOCKED PERMANENTLY. I HAVE REPORTED THIS TO GENERAL MOTORS FOR WHICH THEY TOLD ME THIS IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE AND I WILL BE FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR DIAGNOSTICS AND REPAIRS INCLUDING ALL FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. I AM AWARE OF A SIMILAR PROBLEM IN AN OLDER VEHICLE RECENTLY WHERE THE PASSENGER PERISHED IN A FIRE AS THE DOOR WAS INACCESSIBLE, ALSO A GM SUV. I WAS GIVEN A CASE NUMBER BUT WAS ADVISED MY CASE IS NOW CLOSED SINCE MY VEHICLE IS PASSED THE WARRANTY. CASE # 8-4228203687.
NO POWER ASSIST WITH BRAKES, HARD PEDAL, INADEQUATE BRAKING. FOUND VEHICLES VACUUM PUMP AND LINE THAT SUPPLIES VACUUM TO THE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER FAILED.
WHEN DRIVING IN LOW SPEEDS - SUCH AS PARKING OR STOP/GO TRAFFIC MY BRAKES FAIL TO WORK. I TRY TO PUSH PEDAL DOWN AS HARD AS I CAN BUT BARELY SEEMS TO STOP. I HAVE HAD TO PUSH MY EMERGENCY BRAKE PEDAL MORE THAN ONCE TO STOP AN ACCIDENT FROM HAPPENING I ALSO HAVE A SMALL CHILD THAT I FEAR WILL BE HURT IF THE PROBLEM IS NOT FIXED. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAY THEY CAN'T REPLICATE THE ISSUE THERE FORE CAN NOT FIX.

THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP AND THE BRAKE PEDAL NEARLY WENT TO THE FLOORBOARD BEFORE THE VEHICLE FINALLY STOPPED. THE BRAKE WARNING INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED NEILSON CHEVROLET (1 US-46, DOVER, NJ 07801, (973) 366-1243) AND WAS INFORMED THAT DIAGNOSTIC TESTING WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE DEALER STATED THAT A BRAKE VACUUM WAS NEEDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
POWER STEERING FAILED INSTANTANEOUSLY WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN AT 15MPH ON A CITY INTERSECTION. LUCKILY AN ACCIDENT WAS AVOIDED. TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A DIAGNOSIS. APPARENLY THE STEERING MOTOR HAS FAILED AND IN TURN THEY RECOMMEND REPLACING THE ENTIRE "STEERING GEAR" GM # 84368394 FOR $2250. CALLED GM, THEY STATED THAT THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THIS FAILURE IS CONSIDERED NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. THERE IS AN EXISTING RECALL FOR THE 2015 TAHOE MODEL, BUT THIS VIN IS NOT INCLUDED SO THEY WILL NOT COVER THE REPAIR. THE RECALL REFERENCED IS, NHTSA CAMPAIGN # 4V719, GM RECALL 14743,

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR ACTUATOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOORS FAILED TO CLOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
I AM WRITING TO NOTIFY YOU OF THE PROBLEM I AM EXPERIENCING WITH MY 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE (VIN [XXX]). THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE POWER TILT AND TELESCOPING STEERING COLUMN POPS AND CLICKS AT LOW SPEEDS WHEN TURNING. SUSPENSION SEIZED (BECAME VIOLENTLY UNSTABLE WHEN GOING OVER THE SLIGHTEST OF BUMPS) FIRST YEAR, TOOK CAR BACK TO DEALER THREE TIMES UNTIL FINALLY DIAGNOSED AND FIXED, POWER LOCK ON REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR DOES NOT LOCK/UNLOCK EVERY TIME SINCE FIRST YEAR PURCHASED AND AT 40,000 AC STOPPED COOLING. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN TROUBLE FROM THE BEGINNING!
AIR CONDITIONER STOPPED WORKING AT 45,000 MILES ON 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE DEALERSHIP RECHARGED THE A/C UNIT AND REFILLED THE FREON. I PAID $200 AND AFTER 3 DAYS THE AIR CONDITIONER STOPPED WORKING AGAIN. I HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK FOR A SECOND REPAIR. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL THE HVAC SHOULD NOT STOP WORKING AFTER 45,000 MILES
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LIFTGATE, AFTER BEING OPERATED, WOULD INDEPENDENTLY FALL WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KLAMATH FALLS HONDA (2810 WASHBURN WAY, KLAMATH FALLS OR) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ACTUATOR AND SOFTWARE WERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 38,000.
TL* THE CONTACT CALLED ON BEHALF OF HER SON WHO WAS THE VEHICLE OWNER/DRIVER OF A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 45-50 MPH, THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE COLLISON MAY HAVE BEEN RELATED TO EXISTING RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER WAS FATALLY INJURED. THE CONTACT WAS THE MOTHER OF THE DRIVER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HER SON WAS DRIVING BETWEEN 45-50 MPH, HE LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, JUMPING A CURB, AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. DURING THE CRASH THE AIR BAGS DID DEPLOY BUT THE DRIVER WAS NOT WEARING A SEAT BELT. THE DRIVER WAS FATALLY INJURED DURING THE CRASH AND SUSTAINED TWO BROKEN LEGS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT BASED ON THE POLICE AND EMS REPORTS RECEIVED, THE MIDDLE CONSOLE HAD BEEN RIPPED OFF BY THE DRIVER DURING THE INCIDENT IN AN ATTEMPT TO BRACE HIMSELF FOR THE COLLISION. THE REPORT ALSO MENTIONED THAT NO TIRE SKID MARKS WERE PRESENT AT THE SCENE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED FROM THE SCENE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE EVENT DATA RECORDER (EDR) WAS DESTROYED. AS A RESULT, THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE VIN WAS LATER INCLUDED IN NHSTA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 18V586000 (STEERING) AND 19V645000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE INCIDENT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE RIDE. FRONT END VERY, VERY BOUNCY, I WAS JUST TOLD I NEED BOTH FRONT SHOCKS REPLACED, TRUCK ONLY HAS 60,000 MILES. COST OF REPAIR IS NEARLY TWO-THOUSAND DOLLARS. GM IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND ISSUED A BULLITIEN BUT REFUSE TO PAY FOR REPAIRS BECAUSE IT IS OUT OF ORIGINAL WARRANTY. THIS IS A COMMON AND FREQUENT COMPLAINT WITH THE LTZ MODELS, AND IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN AS THE VEHICLE IS HARD TO CONTROL.

THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED FROM AN INDEPENDENT SELLER WHO ALSO EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE AT 17,000 MILES. THE DEALER (MANASSAS CHEVROLET, 8000 SUDLEY RD, MANASSAS, VA 20109, (703) 596-3031) WAS CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER ISSUED TWO ELECTRICAL SYSTEM RECALLS, ONE RECALL FOR THE BRAKE SYSTEM, 322 TSBS FOR THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, AND 32 TSBS FOR THE BRAKE SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A MANUFACTURER RECALL FOR THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THE MANUFACTURER INDICATED THAT THEY HAD NOT DEVELOPED A PERMANENT REMEDY OTHER THAN REPLACING THE COURTESY LAMP ON THE FRONT PASSENGER AND FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,500.
I HAVE PURCHASED THIS CAR WITH CERTIFIED WARRANTY. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE RUDDER BECAME RIGID; THE CRANE TOOK HIM TO THE DEALER, THERE THEY CHANGED A COMPUTER, THAT WAS MARCH 20. THEN MARCH 27 RETURN WITH AIR CONDITIONING PROBLEMS, TODAY HE CONTINUES IN THE WORKSHOP.
TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THE ONSTAR LIGHT WOULD SWITCH BETWEEN GREEN AND RED, AND MY COMPASS NO LONGER WORKS. WAS TOLD AT THE DEALERSHIP THAT MY HIGH-FREQUENCY ANTENNA WAS OUT DUE TO OUTSIDE WATER INTRUSION (EX. RAIN, SNOW, CARWASHES...) WHEN YOU GO ONLINE THERE ARE PAGES AND PAGES OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. WITH THIS PROBLEM YOUR ONSTAR, NAVIGATION, COMPASS, AND XM RADIO MAY HAVE PROBLEMS. MY SAFETY CONCERN WITH THIS IS THE FACT THAT PEOPLE PAY FOR ONSTAR SERVICES AND WITH THE GM DEFECT WHICH WAS ACKNOWLEDGED WITH CERTAIN VIN NUMBERS BUT NOT ALL HAVING THE SAME ISSUE IS THAT IF I AM IN AN ACCIDENT OR AN AREA WHERE CELL SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RECEIVE THE HELP I NEED FOR SERVICES I AM PAYING FOR DUE TO AN ISSUE IN MANUFACTURING. GM ISSUED A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM WHERE THEY FIXED THIS ISSUES IN VINS THEY FOUND TO BE AFFECTED; I BELIEVE THEY SHOULD BE REPAIRING ALL VEHICLES THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME EXACT ISSUE. AS OF NOW, ONSTAR CANNOT LOCATE MY VEHICLE AND IF I WERE IN DANGER THEY WOULD NOT ABLE TO RESPOND TO ME NOR MY FAMILY.
I BEEN HAVING MY TRUCK FOR 2 YEARS AND BRAKES KEEP GOING OUT AND THE AIR CONDITION KEEPS GOING OUT. I HAVE TWO FRIENDS THE SAME VEHICLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS I SEE NO RECALLS ON THAT. AND I'VE SEEN ON THE REVIEWS OF THIS VEHICLE AND ITS NOT JUST ME THERE'S PEOPLE OUT THERE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM THAT I AM HAVING. THIS COULD CAUSE A REALLY BAD ACCIDENT THE BRAKES KEEP GOING OUT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE TAKE IN CONSIDERATION THAT EVERYONE HAS FAMILIES. AND ACCIDENTS COULD CAUSE US TO LOSE OUR FAMILY JUST FOR A SIMPLE BRAKES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN RECALLED. AND ALSO, WE JUST CANNOT KEEP AFFORDING TO FIX THE AIR CONDITIONING THIS TRUCK IS NOT EVEN OLD ENOUGH TO BE GIVING US THESE PROBLEM. THANK YOU
REAR SUSPENSION SHOCKS LOCKED UP WITH 48,000 MILES AND UNDER 3 YEARS. HAD TO REPLACE REAR SHOCKS CAUSING ROUGH RIDE.
THE INTERIOR BRAKE LIGHTS CONSTANTLY FLASHING WHEN DRIVING. THE ISSUE MAKES THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTONATION CHEVROLET GULF FREEWAY (138000 GULF FWY IN HOUSTON, TX) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A COLLAPSED LIFTER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 129,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED FOR THE PAST TWO MONTHS EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN AT NIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A MANUFACTURER COMMUNICATIONS NUMBER (PI1268B) IN REFERENCE TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
SEAL AROUND FIN ANTENNA LEAKS. COMES DOWN BY VISOR DOWN SIDE PANEL INTO DRIVER SEAT. VEHICLE WAS SITTING STILL AT THE TIME. WE HAD A RAIN EVENT.
MY 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE LT WOULD NOT STOP APPROACHING A MAJOR INTERSECTION. BRAKE PEDAL BECAME HARD AND WOULD NOT COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AT A MAJOR CITY INTERSECTION, NEARLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE VACUUM PUMP WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED AT MY EXPENSE AND IT IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE ON THIS YEAR AND MODEL . NOT ONLY IS THIS A SAFETY ISSUE, ITS A COMMON PROBLEM AND A TECHNICAL BULLETIN HAS BEEN RELEASED FOR THE REPAIR. THIS VEHICLE IS OUT OF THE BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY BUT IS STILL HOWEVER UNDER THE 1000,000 DRIVE TRAIN WARRANTY. GM NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE GETS INJURED.
I OWN A 2015 CHEVY TAHOE LT 2WD. I NOTICED THE AC WAS NOT BLOWING AS COOL AS IT NORMALLY DOES, THEN I STARTED TO NOTICE A LOUD HISSING NOISE IN THE CABIN WHENEVER THE AC WAS TURNED ON. TOOK THE SUV TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THE CONDENSER HAD A PIN HOLE LEAK AND IT COULDN'T BE REPAIRED, THE WHOLE CONDENSER HAD TO BE REPLACED. I WAS QUOTED OVER 1K FOR THE REPAIR BECAUSE OF THE DIFFICULTY IN ACCESSING THE PART IN THE ENGINE BAY. I WAS TOLD THE WHOLE FRONT BUMPER AND THE FRONT SIDE BODY PANEL HAD TO BE REMOVED IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE CONDENSER. I LOOKED THE OEM PART UP ONLINE AND IT HAD A PRICE OF $140-$210. THE SUV JUST PASSED 50,000 MILES, NO ACCIDENTS OR OTHER PREVIOUS ISSUES.
ON JANUARY 14TH, 2018 I WAS DRIVING FROM TULARE, CA TO MY HOME IN PIXLEY, CA. HALF WAY HOME DRIVING ON HWY 99 I EXPERIENCED THAT MY RPMS WOULD GO DOWN AND MY VEHICLE WOULD SLOW DOWN EVERY SO OFTEN. ON DASH SCREEN I HAD A POP UP THAT READ, 'SERVICE STABILITY CONTROL' DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS. SOMETIMES NOT BEING ABLE TO SLOW DOWN (FULL CONTROL) I MADE IT TO PIXLEY. STOPPED AT MY SISTERS HOUSE, WHEN LEAVING I WAS BACKING UP AND WHILE BACKING UP I NOTICED A MAIL BOX STAND WITH 2 MAILBOXES ON A STEAL STAND. I DID NOT HAVE CONTROL ON STOPPING THE VEHICLE. I DID SOME DAMAGE ON THE REAR LEFT HAND SIDE OF MY CHEVY TAHOE. I CAREFULLY DROVE THE TAHOE TO MY HOME DOWN THE STREET, PARKED IT AND CALLED CHEVY ROAD SIDE SERVICE. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE BREAK PEDAL MOVES SIDE TO SIDE AND THE BREAK LIGHTS STAY ON WHEN IN PARK. LUCKILY NOTHING HAPPENED TO MY FAMILY AND I ON OUR WAY HOME. OBVIOUSLY THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE.
PRESSING BRAKE PEDAL CAUSES INTERIOR LIGHTS TO FLASH. HAPPENS INTERMITTENT FOR FIRST FEW MINUTES FROM START OF VEHICLE.
CRACKS ARE APPEARING IN MY TAHOE 2015 BOTH HEADLIGHTS (RIGHT AND LEFT). ON INVESTIGATING THE ISSUE BY TOUCHING THE CRACKS AND IT IS FOUND THAT HEADLIGHT IS CRACKING FROM INSIDE. MOST PROBABLY MATERIAL OR MANUFACTURING FAULT. I WENT TO THE GM SERVICE CENTER IN RIYADH TO SHOW THEM THE ISSUE AND THEY DID NOTHING TO SOLVE THE ISSUE AND EVEN SAYING THIS IS THE FIRST TIME WE (GM) RECEIVED SUCH COMPLAINT. GM DEALER EVEN CLOSED MY CASE WITHOUT NOTIFYING THE OUTCOME OF THE ISSUE AND POSSIBLE RESOLUTION. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT THAT CAUSED THIS ISSUE AND CRACKS ARE APPEARING IN THE BOTH HEADLIGHTS AND ALMOST AT SAME POSITIONS ON BOTH HEADLIGHTS.

COMPUTER MESSAGE COMING BACK AS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE VACUUM PUMP FOR THE BRAKES. VERY COMMON AND KNOWN PROBLEM THE CHEVY HAS NOT PAIR.
ALL INTERIOR LIGHTS THAT CONSIST OF, FRONT DOME LIGHTS, BOTH REAR READING LIGHT FIXTURES THAT ARE DUAL LIGHTS THAT HAVE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE LAMPS FLASH FOR A SPLIT SECOND EACH TIME THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL IS USED OR EACH TIME YOU STEP ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. VERY DISTRACTING DURING EVENING OR NIGHT TIME DRIVING. THIS HAPPENS WEATHER THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED STATIONARY OR DRIVING.
MY VEHICLE IS HAVING A PROBLEM MUCH LIKE THAT FROM RECALL NUMBER 14743 PRODUCT SAFETY - LOSS OF ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS). ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE VEHICLE HAS LOST POWER STEERING AND THE DEALERSHIP IS TELLING ME THAT MY SUV IS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY. I FEEL THAT THE SAME SAFETY CONCERNS POSED WITH RECALL 14743 APPLY IN THIS SITUATION WITH MINE AND I DO NOT FEEL THEY ARE TAKING IT SERIOUSLY. ALSO WHEN THIS OCCURRED I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY THE FIRST TIME, THE SECOND TIME I WAS TURNING ONTO THE STREET I LIVE ON, AND MOST RECENTLY I WAS IN THE PARKING LOT AT TARGET WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR WITH ME. THIS LAST TIME I WAS ACTUALLY ABOUT TO TURN INTO A PARKING SPOT WHEN I LOST POWER TO THE STEERING.
BRAKES BECAME EXTREMELY STIFF, AND POWER ASSIST WAS LOST. VEHICLE IS VERY HARD TO STOP, NEARLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT SEVERAL TIMES. TOOK VEHICLE TO A SERVICE SHOP, AND FOUND OUT THAT THE VACUUM PUMP WAS DEFECTIVE AND CAUSED OIL TO ENTER MY BRAKE VACUUM AND BRAKE LINES. HAD TO ALL BE REPLACED.
DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND CITY STREET IT HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 3 TIMES IN THE LAST COUPLE MONTHS, THE PARK ASSIT, STABILLITY TRACK AND LAST NIGHT THE STEERING ASSIST CAME ON ALONG WITH OTHER LITE LIGHTS BRAKE, ABS WHICH I HAVE RECORDED ON MY PHONE. AT THE MOMENT ITS AT THE DEALER, PER SERVICE ADVISOR THEY " HAD THE TRUCK ON DROVE IT AND HAS HAPPENED OF NOW TO THEM, REQUESTED TO KEEP ANOTHER DAY TO RECHECK TOMORROW.
OUR TAHOE HAS HAD AN ISSUE OVER THE PAST 9 MONTHS. THE ENGINE UNEXPECTEDLY STALLS. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE WHILE PULLING OUT ON TO A BUSY HIGHWAY. VERY FRIGHTENING. WE FIRST TOOK THIS TO THE DEALER ON 8/15/17. THEY SPENT HOURS TRYING TO DIAGNOSE AND FOUND NOTHING. THE STALLING CONTINUED TO HAPPEN OCCASIONALLY. EARLY DECEMBER THE STALLING OCCURRED WHILE PULLING IN TO OUR GARAGE. WE LOST ALL POWER MOMENTARILY AND IT WOULD NOT RESTART THIS TIME. I DISCONNECTED THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE AND THEN RECONNECTED IT AND EVERYTHING WORKED FINE AGAIN. WE TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER ON 12/8/17. IAFTER RESEARCHING THIS MORE IT SEEMS NUMEROUS PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. TRACTION CONTROL WARNING COMES ON WHEN THE STALL OCCURS. THIS TIME I WAS MORE INSISTENT THAT THEY FIX THIS AND EXPLAINED MY WIFE WAS SCARED TO DEATH TO DRIVE THIS. THIS TIME THE DEALER SAID THAT THEY HAVE CHANGED THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE ON OTHER CUSTOMERS VEHICLES AND THAT HAS FIXED THE PROBLEM. MY REACTION WAS WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US THIS LAST TIME AND WHY ISN'T THERE A RECALL? SO FAR THIS HAS FIXED THE PROBLEM. I CONTACTED GM AND THEY DID NOT GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER ON THIS PROBLE. BASICALLY THEY SAID WE MAY HAVE HAD A DEFECTIVE PART.

MY PASSENGERS IN THE REAR HAVE ALSO BEEN COMPLAINING THAT IT IS PHYSICALLY STRESSFUL TO THEM WHEN THE INTERIOR LIGHTS FLASH WITHOUT THEM EXPECTING THEM TOO.

PROBLEM STARTED AS BRAKES EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO ACTIVATE WHEN TRAVELING IN REVERSE AT LOW SPEED (I AM APPROX 200 LBS AND HAD TO STAND ON BRAKES WITH EFFORT TO GET VEHICLE TO STOP). PROBLEM ALSO APPEARED IN LOW SPEED STOP AND GO OPERATION AS WELL AS WHEN BACKING AT A MODERATE SPEED OF APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES PER HOUR. WE HAVE HAD AT LEAST ONE OTHER VEHICLE IN OUR FLEET EXPERIENCE THIS ISSUE. IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE A FAILED VACUUM PUMP ON THAT VEHICLE. THIS VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE ISSUE. I UNDERSTAND THERE IS A GM TECHNICAL BULLETIN INVOLVING THIS ISSUE BUT NO OIL WAS FOUND IN VACUUM LINES. THE VEHICLE IS OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY SO THERE IS CHARGES EACH TIME WE BRING VEHICLE BACK. I WAS TOLD TO BRING VEHICLE BACK IF PROBLEM BECOMES WORSE. I FEEL A FAILURE OF BRAKES IS AN EXTEREME SAFETY CONCERN IN NORMAL OPERATION AND ESPECIALLY IN HIGH SPEED EMERGENCY OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE. A SEARCH OF THE NHTSA SITE AS WELL AS INTERNET HAS REVELED NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS EXACT ISSUE. IT APPEARS THE COMMON REPLACEMENT IS THE BRAKE ASSIST AND VACUUM PUMP.

THE DEALERSHIP NOTIFIED ME THAT THERE WAS A FAULTY BRAKE VACUUM PUMP, AND BRAKE BOOSTER, AND THAT IT FAILED BECAUSE OF MOISTURE PENETRATION. FURTHER, GENERAL MOTORS HAS ISSUED TECHNICAL BULLETIN PIT 5361A/B/C TO ADDRESS THIS KNOWN ISSUE. MY TAHOE HAS 59,000 MILES ON IT. AFTER FURTHER RESEARCH, THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE BY GM AT THE TIME OF MY VEHICLE PURCHASE IN DECEMBER 2014 AND FURTHER, HAS BEEN ACKNOWLEDGED THROUGH TECHNICAL BULLETINS TO THE GM DEALERS. FURTHER, THERE ARE DOCUMENTED CASES WHERE INJURIES/WRECKS HAVE OCCURRED DUE TO THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE. THE GENERAL MOTORS COMPANY HAS BEEN NEGLIGENT IN ITS HANDLING OF THIS IMPORTANT SAFETY (NOT COSMETIC) ISSUE.
A/C CONDENSOR: CRACK IN CONDENSER THAT CAUSED REFRIGERANT TO LEAK OUT. A/C STOPPED COOLING AND WAS MAKING A HISSING SOUND WHEN ON. HAD TO HAVE ENTIRE CONDENSER REPLACED BECAUSE LEAK WAS IN A LOCATION THAT COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. I KNOW THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND HAS BEEN RECALLED ON SOME VIN'S FOR THE VERY SAME MAKE, MODEL, ETC., BUT MY PARTICULAR VIN HAS NOT RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE.
I WAS DRIVING IN TRAFFIC GOING ABOUT 5MPH AND WHEN I APPLIED MY BRAKES THEY WERE NOT WORKING 100% I HAD TO PUSH THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AND THE TRUCK KEPT ROLLING. I HAD TO HAD TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO SAFELY MOVE TO THE SHOULDER OF THE FREEWAY TO AVOID ACCIDENTS. I WAITED ON THE SHOULDER OF THE FREEWAY FOR ABOUT A HOUR FOR TRAFFIC TO STOP. I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO GET OFF THE FREEWAY SO I COULD CHECK THE BRAKE FLUID IT WAS FULL. I KNEW THERE WASN'T A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKES BECAUSE THEY HAD JUST BEEN REPLACED THE PRIOR MONTH. I KNEW THE VEHILCE WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE HOME SO I LEFT THE TRUCK AT DAVIS CHEVROLET AT THEIR NIGHT DROP. I TALKED TO A SERVICE TECHNICIAN AND HE INFORMED ME THAT HE HAS SEEN THIS ISSUE A LOT WITH 2015 TAHOE'S, AND INFACT 3 2015 TAHOE'S WERE BROUGHT IN THE SAME DAY NOVEMBER 3,2017. BEFORE LOOKING AT MY VEHICLE THE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME IT WAS THE VACUME PUMP BUT HE WOULD CALL ME BACK TO LET ME KNOW FOR CERTAIN. ONCE THEY LOOKED AT MY TRUCK HE SAID IT WAS THE VACUUM PUMP THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND IT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW GM KNOWS ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND STILL DOES NOT RECALL IT, THIS CAN CAUSE MAJOR ACCIDENTS AND POTENTIALLY CAUSE A LIFE. IT'S OBVIOUS THERE IS A ISSUE WITH TJE VACUUME PUMPS IN TJE 2015 TAHOE'S AND GM NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND DO A RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE DIES BECAUSE THEIR BRAKES FAIL DUE TO A VACUUM PUMP NOT WORKING.

WHILE REVERSING IN SLOW SPEEDS INTERMITTENTLY IN FORWARD MOTION, THE BRAKE PEDAL BECOMES VERY HARD AND WILL NOT STOP THE VEHICLE. THE BRAKE PEDAL HAS TO BE DEPRESSED VERY HARD AND THERE IS A VIBRATING MOTION. THE MASTER CYLINDER HAS ALREADY BEEN REPLACED BY THE DEALERSHIP AT AN EXPENSE OF NEARLY $600, BUT THE ISSUE PERSISTS.
WIND BUFFERING INSIDE CABIN AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 30-45MPH. THIS IS ACCRUING WITH ALL 4 WINDOWS UP. FEELS LIKE A BOOMING SENSATION THIS IS CAUSING MAJOR HEALTH ISSUES, EAR PRESSURE, DIZZINESS, NASUSA.
POOR LIGHTING FROM LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS. LIGHTS DON'T ILLUMINATE HIGH ENOUGH TO SEE MORE THAN 40-50 FEET IN FRONT OF A VEHICLE WHICH IS DANGEROUS IN PURSUIT SITUATIONS.
DRIVER SEAT SHAKES/MOVES. IT WAS FIXED WHILE ON WARRANTY BUT IT STARED TO MOVE AGAIN, SPECIALLY WHEN MAKING A TURN. DEALER TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING WRONG. BUT I DON'T THINK IT'S NORMAL AND MUST BE A SAFETY ISSUE.

VEHICLE IN FRONT STOPPED QUICKLY FROM 40 MPH. TRIED PRESSING BRAKE PEDAL ON 2015 TAHOE TO STOP, PEDAL WAS EXTREMELY HARD AND VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP.
I LIVE IN A FAIRLY ARID CLIMATE, WHERE RAIN DOESN'T OCCUR FREQUENTLY. A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO, AFTER MY TAHOE HAD BEEN SITTING IN THE RAIN, I NOTICED WATER DRIPPING FROM THE INSIDE DOOR PILLAR WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR. I JUST ASSUMED IT WAS WATER THAN CAME IN FROM THE OUTSIDE WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR. THEN ABOUT NINE DAYS AGO, WHILE DRIVING IN THE RAIN, WATER BEGAN DRIPPING FROM THE TOP CENTER CONSOLE AREA, IN A STEADY STREAM. WHEN I TOOK IT INTO THE CHEVROLET DEALER THEY SAID THAT THE SEAL ON THE HI-FREQUENCY ANTENNAE (SHARK FIN ANTENNAE), OVER THE DRIVER'S SIDE WAS FAULTY, AND THAT WATER WAS LEAKING IN THROUGH IT. SINCE THERE WAS NOT A RECALL FOR MY VIN, AND SINCE RAIN WAS PREDICTED TO CONTINUE FOR SEVERAL DAYS, I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO PAY $452.32 TO HAVE A NEW ANTENNAE INSTALLED. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT DID WHAT THEY COULD TO DRY THE AREA OUT IN BETWEEN THE ROOF AND THE CEILING AND LEFT THE COVER OFF THE SIDE DRIVER'S AIRBAG SO IT WOULD DRY, TELLING ME TO RETURN IN A WEEK SO THEY COULD REPLACE THE COVER ON THE AIRBAG. IN ADDITION TO BEING OUT A LOT OF MONEY, I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE SIDE AIRBAG POSSIBLY MALFUNCTIONING AFTER BEING WET OVER A PERIOD OF TIME.
AS I WAS SITTING IN THE VEHICLE IN PARK, I PLACED MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND NOTICED THAT THE BRAKE ASSIST HAD ACTIVATED WHILE IN PARK. I WAS UNABLE TO PUSH THE PETAL DOWN. I WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE SHIFTER INTO DRIVE WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE, BUT THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY PLUNGED FORWARD. AS I CONTINUED TO TRY AND DEPRESS THE BRAKE PETAL, THE VEHICLE FINALLY SLOWED TO A STOP. BEFORE I COULD GET OFF THE ROAD AND OUT OF TRAFFIC, THE BRAKE ASSIST CONTINUED TO BE LOCKED UP AND THERE WAS NO BRAKES IF I SHIFTED INTO REVERSE. I WAS EXTREMELY CONCERNED FOR MINE AND MY CHILDREN'S SAFETY AS THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THE BRAKES DID NOT STOP THE VEHICLE AND WERE DEFECTIVE DUE TO THE VACUUM PUMP "GOING OUT". THE VEHICLE IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD AND HAS 49K MILES.
