TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS TURNED IN ONE DIRECTION; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE PROCEEDED IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. IN ADDITION, VARIOUS WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING COLUMN SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 8-3390691721. THE MANUFACTURER CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V719000 (STEERING). THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNKNOWN.

INTERIOR DOME LIGHTS FLASHES DURING NIGHT DRIVING CAUSING THE DRIVER TO LOSE VISION DURING NIGHT DRIVING.
WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES MY CAR DOESN'T STOP 100% OF THE TIME. 1 TIME DURING HIGHWAY SLOW MOVING TRAFFIC, 3 TIMES BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY (FLAT SURFACE), 4 TIMES WHEN ON INCLINE/DECLINE OF ROAD. WHEN APPLYING BRAKES, HORRIBLE CHATTERING VIBRATION COMES FROM LEFT FRONT TIRE AREA, CHATTER VIBRATION IS FELT IN BRAKE PEDAL. NO MATTER HOW HARD I APPLY THE BRAKE THE CAR KEEPS GOING - IT WILL FINALLY STOP, BUT I ALMOST HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME AT THE ONE HIGHWAY OCCURRENCE, 2 TIMES CAR FINALLY STOPPED JUST BEFORE GOING OVER EDGE OF PROPERTY WHEN PULLING FORWARD & BACKWARD TO TURN AROUND IN TIGHT AREA. IN EACH INSTANCE I AM MOVING AT A VERY SLOW SPEED. I CONTACTED DEALERSHIP, THEY TOLD ME I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE CALLING ABOUT THIS HAPPENING BUT SINCE I'M OVER 36,000 WARRANTY THEY WILL CHARGE ME TO CK IT OUT,
WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD IN TRAFFIC I WENT TO PRESS ON THE BRAKES AND NOTICED THEY HAD BECOME STIFF AND HAD TO PRESS THEM AS HARD AS POSSIBLE TO SLOWLY STOP WHILE TRYING TO AVOID HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE IN TRAFFIC. NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE ON IN THE DASH UNTIL I PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED VEHICLE A COUPLE OF TIMES. THEN I GOT THE ACTIVE BRAKE ASSIST SERVICE LIGHT ON. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE NEAREST CHEVROLET SERVICE CENTER DUE TO THE VEHICLE NOT SAFE TO DRIVE.
THE AC ON MY UNIT QUIT WORKING AND RESULTED IN MY HAVING TO REPLACE THE CONDENSER AND COMPRESSOR. I WAS TOLD IT WAS DUE TO A CRACK.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WATER ENTERED THE VEHICLE THROUGH THE ROOF OF THE VEHICLE, AND VARIOUS ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS MALFUNCTIONED AFTER INCLEMENT WEATHER. THE FAILURES OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. RICHARD KAY SUPERSTORE (1935 PEARMAN DAILY RD, ANDERSON, SC) DIAGNOSED THAT THE ANTENNA ASSEMBLY AND HOUSING WERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,611.
THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND COULD NOT TURN OR MOVE PROPERLY... WAS TAKEN TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY DIAGNOSED IT AND SAID IT WAS THE POWER STEERING THAT WENT OUT. WE WERE ON A HIGHWAY GOING 75 MPH AND ALMOST FLIPPED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, THE SERVICE POWER STEERING MESSAGE DISPLAYED AND THE POWER STEERING WAS INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HUDIBURG CHEVROLET (LOCATED IN MIDWEST CITY, OKLAHOMA) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING MOTOR WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 5 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED BUT FAILED TO RESPOND WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL DEALER: COUGHLIN FORD OF CIRCLEVILLE LOCATED AT 24001 US HIGHWAY 23 S CIRCLEVILLE OH 49113 WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO HARE CHEVROLET LOCATED AT 2001 STONY CREED RD NOBLESVILLE IN 46060 WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VACUUM PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED CASE # 8-31775454 BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,000.
AT SLOW SPEEDS CAR DIES SHUTTING OFF ALL ELECTRIC POWER AND LOCKING US IN THE CAR. STEERING WHEEL JERKS AND CAR DIES. BACKED OUT INTO HIGHWAY AT NIGHT TWO NIGHTS AGO AND CAR DIED IN MIDDLE OF ROAD WITH NO LIGHTS. THERE WAS ENOUGH OF A HILL TO LET THE CAR ROLL OFF OF HIGHWAY OR MY FAMILY COULD HAVE DIED. CAR HAS AROUND 60K MILES ON IT. HAVE READ OTHER ISSUES SIMILAR TO THIS. NO EVIDENCE ON COMPUTER WHEN WE TAKE IT TO DEALER. WE HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE HAPPEN AT LEAST FIVE SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE LAST ONE WAS THE WORST AND MOST DANGEROUS.
MY WIFE'S 2015 TAHOE HYDROPLANED SLID BACKWARDS INTO THE MEDIAN, HIT A GUARD RAIL AND ROLLED 3 TIMES. ALL SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED BUT NOT THE FRONT AIRBAGS. THIS WAS ON 8/4/2017. THEN 2 WEEKS LATER WE RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FOR THE SDM SOFTWARE WHICH CONTROLS THE FRONTAL AIRBAGS AND SEATBELT PRETENSIONERS.
MY A/C CONDENSER WENT OUT ON JULY 21, 2017 WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT. MY 2015 TAHOE LTZ ONLY HAS 21,000 MILES ON IT. IT'S COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, BUT I'VE BEEN GIVEN NO ESTIMATE ON THE PART DELIVERY. DRIVING A COURTESY VEHICLE, CHEVY MALIBU, FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL. I WAS TOLD BY GM THAT THIS IS NOT A WIDESPREAD ISSUE. I'VE READ OTHERWISE.
AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR. I HAD TO REPLACE THE A/C COMPRESSOR ON MY 2015 TAHOE ABOUT DURING JULY 2015. MY VEHICLE HAS ABOUT 65,000 MILES. THIS WAS UNUSUAL IN THAT I HAVE NEVER HAD TO REPLACE THIS PART IN ANY VEHICLE I HAVE OWNED OVER THE LAST 40 YEARS. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT THEY ARE USING AFTER MARKET REPLACEMENT PARTS BECAUSE THE GM SUPPLY CHAIN IS OUT OF A/C COMPRESSORS BECAUSE THEY ARE REPLACING SO MANY OF THEM IN TAHOE/YUKONS, SILVERADO PICKUPS AND CADILLAC ESCALADES. THE PART COST ME ABOUT $1,400 TO REPLACE THE PART. I CONTACTED GM CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO BECAUSE I WAS BEYOND WARRANTY. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT MY SITUATION IS NOT AN ISOLATED CASE BUT PART OF LARGER SYSTEMIC ISSUE IN GM MANUFACTURING. IF GM SUPPLY CHAIN CANNOT KEEP COMPRESSORS IN STOCK BECAUSE THEY ARE REPLACING SO MANY DEFECTIVE PARTS, THIS RISES TO THE LEVEL OF BEING A RECALL.
THERE IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE A/C CONDENSER IN THE CHEVROLET TAHOE 2015. THE AC WILL JUST STOP WORKING AND BLOW HOT AIR. THEY HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH A LEAKING CONDENSER FOR QUITE SOME TIME BUT HAVE NOT ISSUED A RECALL. THE WAIT TO GET THE PART IS 8-12 WEEKS WHICH MAKES THE CARS UNUSABLE IN THE SUMMER MONTHS. THE COST FOR REPAIR IS $1200. THEY KNOW THIS IS A PROBLEM YET THEY CONTINUE TO SELL THEIR USED TAHOES WITH THESE FAULTY CONDENSERS. I BELIEVE IS THIS IS FRAUDULENT. I AM STILL WAITING TO GET MINE FIXED. THEY REDESIGNED THE PART TO FIX THE PROBLEM BUT THE BACKLOG IS SO LONG AND THEY ARE USING THEM TO MANUFACTURER THEIR NEW CARS VERSUS SERVICING THEIR EXISTING CLIENT BASE. IF YOU GOOGLE IT, YOU WILL FIND CRAZY STORIES OF PEOPLE TRYING TO GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED FOR MONTHS AND DEALING WITH NO AC IN STATES WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES SUCH AS TEXAS AND NEVADA. I BELIEVE THEY USE THESE IN THEIR 2015 SILVERADOS AND 2015 SUBURBANS. CALLS TO CORPORATE CHEVY DID NOTHING TO HELP. HE JUST TOLD ME HE HANDLES THESE CALLS ALL DAY LONG FOR AC ISSUES. I WOULD HAPPILY JOIN A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT TO PUSH THEM TO DO THE RIGHT THING.
I HAVE 2015 CHEVY TAHOE THAT NEEDS A NEW AC CONDENSER. I HAVE READ HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ONLINE REGARDING THIS ISSUE AND THE DEFECTIVE PART WHERE THE SEALS CRACK REQUIRING REPLACEMENT. ON TOP OF ALL THAT, ITS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND THE PART IS BACK ORDERED UNTIL SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2017. SO NO AC IN THE SUMMER TIME. BRILLIANT. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL. THE PART IS FAILING WITH NO FIXABLE ALTERNATIVE. PLEASE INVESTIGATE. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING WITH 1 AND 2 YEAR OLD VEHICLES. THE DEALER IS CHARGING CLOSE TO $2000 TO REPLACE ON TOP OF ALL ELSE. PLEASE RESEARCH THE PROBLEM AND HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE.
MY A/C CONDENSER STOPPED WORKING ON 07/03/2017. I TOOK MY TRUCK IN TO THE DEALER WHERE I LEASED THE TRUCK, AUTO NATION OF PEMBROKE PINES, FL. I WAS PROMISED THE PART WILL BE IN 3-7 DAYS, IT IS NOW 3 WEEKS, I HAVE SPOKEN TO UPPER LEVEL MANAGEMENT AND I CALLED THE MANUFACTURE GM. I MUST SAY, CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS BEEN PISSED POOR. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL FROM SENIOR MANAGEMENT AT GM. I WAS TOLD BY MY SENIOR ADVISOR AT THE DEALER THAT THE CONDENSER WAS SHIPPED BUT IT IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. THIS IS A TRUCK I ONLY HAD FOR TWO YEARS. I JUST FOUND OUT THE 2015 TAHOE IS THE WORSE MODEL YEAR WITH COMPLAINTS. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH GM.
EVERY TIME I PRESS MY BRAKE OR USE MY LEFT TURN SIGNAL, MY INTERIOR DOME LIGHTS FLASH. IT IS VERY ANNOYING AND A SAFETY ISSUE AT NIGHT.
I GOT A MESSAGE ON MY MESSAGE CENTER TELLING ME THAT MY LEFT TURN SIGNAL HAD A FAILURE. IT WOULD START BLINKING FAST. I TOOK IT TO A PARTS STORE TO GET A BULB TO REPLACE UR BUT WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. TOOK IT THERE AND WAS TOLD THAT THE SOCKET HAD MELTED AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE ASSEMBLY. I JUST READ WHERE OTHER OWNERS WHO HAVE CHEVROLET SAID EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEM.

WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOORBOARD, THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO DRIVE OFF THE HIGHWAY AND FINALLY STOPPED THE VEHICLE WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (RYDELL CHEVROLET IN NORTHRIDGE, CALIFORNIA) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE ASSIST FAILED. THE VACUUM PUMP AND THE BELT KIT WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT AN INVESTIGATION WOULD BE CONDUCTED TO DETERMINE THE ACTUAL CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,871. UPDATED 09/20/17*LJ *CN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE DIGITAL INSTRUMENT PANEL WOULD DISPLAY INCORRECTLY. ALSO, THE AIR CONDITIONER AND REMOTE START FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WASHINGTON CHEVROLET (1 RAYMOND BLVD, WASHINGTON, PA 15301 (724) 222-2800), WHERE A SOFTWARE MALFUNCTION WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE SOFTWARE WAS UPDATED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE CONTACT INADVERTENTLY SWERVED TO THE LEFT AND STRUCK A UTILITY POLE AND FENCE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY AND THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED HEAD INJURIES AND BRUISING THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT DID NOT ASSIST. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V651000 (AIR BAGS, SEAT BELTS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 24,000.
A NUMBER OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES IN SOUTHERN ARIZONA ARE EXPERIENCING ONGOING PROBLEMS WITH 2011-2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE POLICE PURSUIT PACKAGES ON HIGH TEMPERATURE DAYS. THIS ISSUE MANIFESTS ITSELF IN TEMPERATURES ABOVE 100 DEGREES AND FREQUENTLY WHEN THE TAHOE IS ENGAGED IN A LEFT TURN MOVEMENT. THE TAHOE STUTTERS AND/OR STALLS, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ACTIVATES, AND IF THE TAHOE WILL RESTART IT CONTINUOUSLY BACKFIRES, MISSES, AND WILL NOT RUN ABOVE 15MPH FOR A PERIOD. CHEVROLET HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THE ISSUE AND STATES THE SOLUTION IS A HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL LINE WHICH IT DOES NOT HAVE IN STOCK. AT PRESENT, THE PIMA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT HAS AT LEAST 10 VEHICLES OUT OF SERVICE FOR THIS ISSUE. ANOTHER LOCAL AGENCY, THE ORO VALLEY POLICE DEPARTMENT, HAS HALF OF ITS FLEET AFFECTED. OTHER AGENCIES EXPERIENCING THESE ISSUES INCLUDE THE PHOENIX POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE SCOTTSDALE POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE MESA POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE MARANA POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND THE MARICOPA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE. CHEVROLET HAS BEEN SLOW TO RESPOND TO THIS ISSUE WHICH DATES TO 2011. CHEVROLET'S STRATEGY APPEARS TO BE ONE OF PACIFYING LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES UNTIL THE HOT SEASON IS OVER AND THEN THE PROBLEM IS IGNORED FOR ANOTHER YEAR. THIS ISSUE IS A SAFETY CONCERN FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS FACING THE RISK OF A STALLING VEHICLE WHILE TURNING LEFT IN THE FACE OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I HAVE PERSONALLY EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE ON TWO OCCASIONS.
2015 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ: CONDENSER AND COMPRESSOR WENT OUT STOPPING ANY COOL OR COLD AIR FLOW IN MIDDLE OF A JUNE. MUST ORDER PARTS DIRECTLY FROM GMC. PARTS ESTIMATE $3,500+ LABOR ESTIMATE $780. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE? IT'S A LEASED VEHICLE. CHEVROLET WON'T COVER. SAME 2015 CHEVY TAHOE- AT 111K, 4,5,AND 6 GEAR FAILED. TRANSMISSION FAILED GOING UP HILL WITH MY 2 YEAR OLD IN THE VEHICLE! CHEVY ONLY COVERED A PORTION LEAVING ME A $2K BILL IN APRIL 2017. JUNE 2016- I HAD TAKEN MY TAHOE (LEASED) ONLY TO ONE DEALERSHIP WHEN NEEDING ANY MAINTENANCE. MY RECORDS SHOW I STARTED COMPLAINING ABOUT SUNROOF BELLOWS AT 20K MILES AND THE APPLIQUS ON BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE DOORS. JUNE @68K MILES I HAD TO REPLACE SUNROOF, DVD PLAYER, BELLOWS, AND INTERNAL WIRING. ALSO, DRIVERS SIDE STRUT. I SPENT OVER 2K ON MY TAHOE, ONLY TO NOTICE THE DVD PLAYER IS NOT WORKING.... AGAIN.
GM CONDENSER ISSUE. GM HAS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH 2014-2016 MODELS USING A DEFECTIVE CONDENSER. THEY HAVE A NEW PART # THAT IS ON NATIONAL BACKORDER AND ARE UNWILLING TO DO ANYTHING FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS WAITING FOR THE PART. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY, KIDS IN TOW, ON A RAINY MUGGY DAY IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST LAST WEEK. MY WINDSHIELD BEGAN TO FOG AND WITH NO CONDENSER TO RUN THE AC I WAS UNABLE TO DEFROST MY WINDOWS. UNABLE TO SEE A THING I HAD TO PULL OVER, ON THE FREEWAY, CAREFULLY, AND FIND A CHILD'S COAT IN THE VERY BACK TO WIPE DOWN THE WINDOWS TO CREST VISIBILITY. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND CLEARLY NEGLIGENCE ON GM'S PART AND THEY WOULD BE HELD LIABLE IF/WHEN THIS CREATES A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
RE:AC CONDENSER. IM WAITING NOW 5 WEEKS AND STILL NO PART DUE TO A NATIONAL BACK ORDER OF THIS FAULTY CONDENSER. AC STOPPED WORKING ON A ROAD TRIP WITH MY KIDS AND DOG LAST MONTH AND I NEED TO GET HOME. IT'S UNSAFE TO DRIVE IN 120 DEGREE WEATHER. THE DEALER TOLD ME A FEW WEEKS AGO 50K PEOPLE WERE WAITING FOR A REPLACEMENT. THE SPECIFIC PART IS FAULTY AND GM NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

INTERIOR LIGHTS BLINK WHEN BRAKES ARE TAPPED AND WHEN USING LEFT TURN SIGNAL. HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR 2.5 YEARS AND I NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP BUT REPAIR WOULD HAVE BEEN MY COST.
A/C CONDENSER. THE A/C IN MY 2015 CHEVY TAHOE HAS GONE OUT TWICE IS THE PAST TWO-AND-A-HALF WEEKS. THE FIRST TIME THEY FOUND THAT THE FREON WAS GONE. THEY CHECKED AND COULD NOT LOCATE ANY LEAKS. THE RECHARGED THE SYSTEM AND REPLACED FREON, ADDING DYE TO THE SYSTEM TO IDENTIFY FUTURE LEAKS. TWO-AND-A-HALF WEEKS LATER, MY FREON WAS COMPLETELY GONE AGAIN AND THE DYE REVEALED THAT THE LEAK WAS DUE TO A FAULTY A/C CONDENSER. THE INTERNET IS FULL OF THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS SAME ISSUE ON THIS SAME YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL OF VEHICLE, BUT GM\CHEVROLET REFUSES TO ISSUE A RECALL TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM. THE PART IS ON A NATIONWIDE BACKORDER, AND EVEN MY LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP CANNOT GET THE PART. THEY CAN'T EVEN GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE ON WHEN THE PART WILL BE AVAILABLE. OTHERS ARE REPORTING WAIT TIMES IN EXCESS OF 60 DAYS TO SECURE A REPLACEMENT A/C CONDENSER. I CANNOT DRIVE MY VEHICLE UNTIL MY A/C FUNCTIONS, GIVEN THE EXTREME HIGH TEMPERATURES IN MY AREA. WHEN SO MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM THAT YOU CAN'T EVEN GET A PART TO FIX IT, THIS SEEMS LIKE AN ISSUE WIDESPREAD ENOUGH TO JUSTIFY A MANUFACTURER RECALL. MY DEALER HAS LOOKED FOR OEM, AFTER-MARKET, USED, AND REBUILT A/C CONDENSERS NATIONWIDE, AND CAN'T LOCATE A SINGLE ONE TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE. OTHERS ONLINE ARE REPORTING THE SAME. FORCE CHEVY TO ISSUE A RECALL AND FIX THIS SITUATION!
THE EXTERIOR SIDE PANEL THAT SEPARATE FRONT AND BACK OF TAHOE THREATENS TO FLY OFF DURING DRIVING. IT'S PRIMARILY ON HIGHWAY DRIVING FROM 50+ MILES PER HOUR. IT'S AS IF WIND IS GETTING UNDER THEM AND ITS ALWAYS A CONCERN THEY ARE GOING TO FLY OFF. WE OFTEN ARE STOPPING AND HITTING IT BACK IN PLACE. IF IT COME OFF IT WILL BE A $130-180 PIECE EACH SIDE AND COSMETICALLY UGLY FOR OUR VEHICLE AND A DANGER TO OTHER MOTOR VEHICLES AS A FLYING OBJECT. PLEASE RECALL THIS AS WE ARE HEARING FROM DEALERSHIPS IT IS A COMMON PART COMING OFF OF THE TAHOES. IT IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE. IT DIDN'T HAPPEN JUST ONCE.
I OWN A 2015 TAHOE AND LIVE IN THE PACIFIC NW (AC USED THREE MONTHS OUT THE YEAR, MAYBE). EIGHT MONTHS AGO (END OF LAST YEAR WARM SEASON) THE AC STOPPED WORKING, OF COURSE IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY PAID OVER $850 AT LOCAL CHEVY DEALER TO PUT IN NEW CONDENSER. GO TO USE AC FOR FIRST TIME THIS SEASON AND IT STOPS WORKING, SAME THING. TAKE IT TO SAME DEALER AND I AM TOLD THAT NOW THE COMPRESSOR IS LEAKING AT A TUNE OF $960!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY CRAZINESS, THE AC IS A NEW VEHICLE SHOULD NOT BE GOING BAD. NO ACCIDENTS OR ANY REASON THIS IS HAPPENING. I BOUGHT CHEVY BELIEVING I WAS BUYING QUALITY. AIR CONDITIONER HAS BEEN MESSING UP FOR A LONG TIME NOW. I BOUGHT IT NEW AND IT'S BEEN A RECURRING ISSUE. IT FINALLY STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. OF COURSE I'M RIGHT PAST MY WARRANTY. IT'S BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR FIVE DAYS NOW. THEY CALLED TODAY AND SAID IT'S FIXED. WE GOT IN AND BOOM, STILL NOT WORKING.
I WAS INFORMED THAT THE AIR CONDENSER IS A FAULTY PART AND IS NOT WORKING ON MY VEHICLE. ALSO, GM HAS KNOWLEDGE OF THIS ISSUE, FOR IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE PART TO FIX THIS PROBLEM IS ON BACK ORDER, AND THERE ARE NO PARTS IN PRODUCTION, FOR THEY HAVE NOT COME UP WITH A REMEDY TO REPLACE THE FAULTY PART. THEREFORE, I DO NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING WITHIN MY VEHICLE. THUS, CAUSING A SAFETY ISSUE, FOR IT IS 90 DEGREES WHERE I LIVE, AND I HAVE INFANT TWINS THAT ARE TRANSPORTED WITH MY VEHICLE.
AC WENT OUT IN MID-MAY. DEALERSHIP STATES IT'S A CONDENSER ISSUE. NATIONAL BACK ORDER BECAUSE SO MANY HAVE HAD SAME ISSUES. BAD WELD ON PART AND OEM IS NOW OUT OF BUSINESS. BEEN WAITING FOR ALMOST 2 MONTHS FOR PART TO COME IN. VEHICLE OUT OF WARRANTY, GM RECOGNIZES ISSUE WITH PART BUT WILL NOT ISSUE RECALL. I DRIVE A TON FOR WORK (IN A SUIT) AND HAVE MY 3 YEAR OLD SON RIDING AT ALL OTHER TIMES. GM WILL NOT OFFER COURTESY VEHICLE AND WANTS TO STICK ME WITH $1200 BILL. THEY KNOW THERE'S A PROBLEM AND WILL DO NOTHING ABOUT IT.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 70 MPH AND MY WIFE LOOKED IN THE PASSENGER SIDE MIRROR AND SAW THE APPLIQUE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR BEHIND THE WINDOW (WHERE THE B PILLAR IS) WAS LOOSE AND FLAPPING IN THE WIND. I HAD SOME TAPE IN THE VEHICLE SO I PULLED TO THE SIDE, TAPED IT DOWN, AND CONTINUED DRIVING. I TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE CHEVROLET DEALER THE NEXT DAY AND THEY SAID IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE TAHOE. THE DEALER SAID THE DESIGN OF THE APPLIQUE ATTACHMENT WAS POORLY DONE AND WHEN THEY REPLACE THEM THEY NOW USE A STRONGER ATTACHMENT. THE DEALER FOUND 2 OTHER APPLIQUES LOOSE AND RECOMMENDED REPLACING THEM AS WELL BEFORE THEY FLEW OFF WHILE DRIVING AND POSSIBLY CAUSING A SAFETY ISSUE TO SOMEONE BEHIND MY TAHOE.
A/C CONDENSER FAILED ON A 2 YEAR OLD CHEVROLET TAHOE. PART IS ON NATIONAL BACKORDER AS SO MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE ISSUE. I WAS TOLD 1-2 WEEKS FOR THEM TO GET THE PART BUT IT HAS NOW BEEN 2 MONTHS WITH NO ETA AVAILABLE. HEAT INDEX HAS NOW REACHED 105-110 MULTIPLE DAYS IN HOUSTON AND IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH NO A/C IN THIS CONDITION. CHEVROLET CUSTOMER CARE HAS BEEN CONTACTED MULTIPLE TIMES AND WILL NOT PROVIDE RENTAL CAR, COMPENSATION, OR ANY SOLUTION TO THE ISSUE AND STATED THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THE PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO RESTART AND THE DOORS WOULD NOT OPEN. AFTER APPROXIMATELY THIRTY MINUTES, THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE PREVIOUSLY OCCURRED AND THAT THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE AMPERAGE FROM THE BATTERY WAS INSUFFICIENT, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO VERIFY IF THE FAILURE WAS FULLY REMEDIED AND IF THE VEHICLE WAS SAFE TO BE DRIVEN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,500.

RETURNING FROM AN 80 MILE TRIP FROM WASHINGTON DC WHEN I APPROACHED A STOP LIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY. BRAKE PEDAL WENT COMPLETELY TO THE FLOOR WHEN I TRIED TO ENGAGE. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO STOP SHORT OF HITTING CAR AHEAD OF ME. I PROCEEDED THROUGH LIGHT ONLY TO EXPERIENCE THE SAME ISSUE WHEN I PULLED OFF THE HIGHWAY INTO A CONVENIENCE STORE AND CALLED MY HUSBAND. HE IMMEDIATELY DROVE TO THE DEALER AND DID HAVE BRAKES AT THAT TIME. THEY FOUND OIL IN THE BRAKE LINE. HAD TO REPLACE THE PUMP, PIPE, BOOSTER, CYLINDER AND BRAKE FLUID. IT WAS REPORTED TO ME THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES TO SAME MODEL. WHY NOT A RECALL? VERY UNSAFE! MY CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.

MY 2015 CHEVY TAHOE A/C IS NOT WORKING. THE CONDENSER PART IS ON BACK ORDER FOR 6 MONTHS OR MORE FROM THE GM FACTORY PLANT. MEANWHILE, I CAN'T DRIVE THE CAR BECAUSE I HAVE BREATHING PROBLEMS. GM TOLD ME ALL THERE TAHOES HAVE THIS PROBLEM AND THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PART AVAILABLE YET.

SO GM EXPECTS MY FAMILY OF 5 WHICH INCLUDES 3 KIDS UNDER THE AGE OF 8 TO DRIVE A VEHICLE FOR AN ENTIRE SUMMER IN SOUTH CAROLINA WITH NO AC.

PART IS ON BACK ORDER WITH NO DELIVERY DATE AVAILABLE DUE TO THE HIGH NUMBER OF 2015 TAHOES THAT ARE WAITING FOR THIS PART. WENT ONLINE TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE IS HAVING THIS PROBLEM WITH THE SAME MAKE/MODEL/YEAR AND THE NUMBER IS ASTONISHING. THIS WAS A BRAND NEW MODEL AND FIRST YEAR OFFERED FROM CHEVY SO THERE IS OBVIOUSLY A MANUFACTURING ISSUE. CAR WARRANTY IS EXPIRED AND WAS TOLD PART WOULD BE OVER $2000!
THE LIFTGATE MALFUNCTION IS BOTH BIZARRE AND DANGEROUS. WHEN OPENED IT PROCEEDS TO DROP ABOUT A FOOT QUICKLY, ENOUGH TO CREATE SERIOUS HEAD CONTACT. IT THEN PROCEEDS TO CLOSE WITHOUT USE OF SENSORS, REPEATEDLY PINNING THE OPERATOR AGAINST THE BACK OF THE CAR. ONLY WITH STRENGTH AND AGILITY DID MY WIFE MANAGE TO SLIDE OUT THE SIDE. WE ARE THANKFUL THAT THE ONLY DAMAGE WAS A BRUISE ON HER LEG. IT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE FOR AN OLDER, LESS AGILE PERSON. IT HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS STATIONARY, ON OR OFF. THE DEALER PLANS TO REPLACE THE LIFTGATE ACTUATOR, BUT IT WILL BE AT OUR EXPENSE. CHEVY HAS DECLINED COVERAGE BECAUSE WE ARE NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER, WE DID NOT BUY IT FROM A CHEVY DEALER AND WE DID NOT PURCHASE EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERAGE. THERE IS NO RECALL OUTSTANDING SO THEY HAVE NO OBLIGATION TO HELP US. HAD MY WIFE GONE TO A DOCTOR FOR THE BRUISE ON HER LEG CHEVY'S DECISION WOULD HAVE GONE TO A DIFFERENT SUPERVISOR, BUT WE DO NOT ACT THAT WAY.
