SERVICE BRAKE ASSIST CAME ON AND VEHICLE IS VERY HARD TO STOP EVEN WHEN APPLYING ENORMOUS PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. THIS ACCRUES AT LOWER SPEEDS AND IS VERY DANGEROUS TO THE CONSUMER.
VEHICLE DID NOT WANT TO START WHEN COLD. WOULD TAKE 2-3 TIMES TO GET ENGINE TO TURN OVER. AFTER DRIVING, THE SMELL OF GASOLINE WAS UNDENIABLE. BROUGHT VEHICLE IN TO LOCAL MECHANIC AND HE DISCOVERED THE FUEL HOSE HAD CHAFFED AND FUEL WAS SPRAYING OUT AND PUDDLING ON TOP OF FUEL TANK. HE DROPPED FUEL TANK AND REPLACED FUEL LINE. FUEL LINE THAT WAS REMOVED HAD NO PROTECTION ON IT. REPLACEMENT PART HAD A CORRUGATED LOOM PROTECTING FUEL LINE. I AM STILL IN POSSESSION OF DAMAGED FUEL LINE IN QUESTION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT FAILED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE VACUUM PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. ELM CHEVROLET (LOCATED AT 301 E CHURCH ST, ELMIRA, NY 14901, (607) 734-4141) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN AND REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V645000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,000. *AS *AS
WHILE DRIVING WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR MY WIFE EXPERIENCED A NEAR SUDDEN DETERIORATION IN BRAKING PERFORMANCE. THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME VERY STIFF WITH LITTLE OR NO TRAVEL IN PEDAL REGARDLESS OF PRESSURE APPLIED. THIS DETERIORATION IN BRAKING PERFORMANCE BECAME CRITICAL - REQUIRING ALL THE FORCE MY 100LB WIFE COULD MUSTER TO BRING THE CAR TO A STOP. THE STIFF PEDAL WAS OBVIOUS WITH THE CAR ON AND OFF, MOVING AND STATIONARY. THOUGH THE PROBLEM OCCURRED AND WAS RECOGNIZED ONLY AFTER THE CAR WAS IN MOTION ON I84 (AT 65 MPH!!). OUR MECHANIC IDENTIFIED THE VACUUM PUMP AS THE CAUSE OF THE ISSUE.
AT LOW SPEEDS, OR IDLE, THE BRAKE PEDAL BECOMES VERY HARD TO DEPRESS. LOSS OF POWER BOOST RESULTING IN EXTREME EFFORT TO ACTIVATE BRAKING. THIS HAPPENED WHILE STUCK IN A TRAFFIC JAM TRAVELLING AT SPEEDS OF LESS THAN 10 MILES PER HOUR FOR APPROXIMATELY 15 MINUTES. PROBLEM LASTED UNTIL TRAFFIC RETURNED TO NORMAL SPEED, WHEN BRAKING RETURNED TO NORMAL. I BELIEVE I HAVE THE SAME VACUUM PUMP PROBLEM BEING CITED BY OTHER OWNERS.
MY 2015 TAHOE LTZ, WITH 73,000 MILES, STARTED RIDING ROUGH AND HAD NOTICEABLE BOUNCE AS I DROVE. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER I BOUGHT IT FROM AND THEY TOLD ME THE REAR SHOCKS WERE BAD/LOCKED OUT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED - ESTIMATE TO REPAIR IS $1700.
AFTER READING THE LARGE NUMBER OF SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH THE 2015 TAHOES AND AFTER SPEAKING WITH INDIVIDUALS IN THIS AREA IN BUSINESS WITH GM, I FEEL EVEN MORE UNSAFE THAN I HAVE BEFORE. I WAS TOLD THAT ALTHOUGH NUMEROUS PROBLEMS AND MULTIPLE LAWSUITS WITH THE 2015 TAHOE'S, THAT THERE HAS BEEN NO TOTAL RECALL WITH MY SPECIFIC VIN NUMBER. SHOCKING. I DID SEE SEVERAL RECALLS OF GREAT CONCERN THAT I HAD NOT BEEN MADE AWARE OF. IT'S A HARDSHIP TO HAVE MY VEHICLE IN THE SHOP MORE THAN IT IS IN MY GARAGE. IT'S A HARDSHIP TO PAY TO RENT A WORKING, SAFE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE ONE I PAY $615 MONTHLY FOR IS UNSAFE, UNRELIABLE AND A LIABILITY. IN CONCLUSION, ARE THERE STEPS AN INDIVIDUAL IS ABLE TO TAKE TO RESOLVE SITUATIONS SUCH AS THIS? OR IS THIS SOMETHING THAT ONE WOULD NEED TO SEEK ASSISTANCE OF LEGAL AIDE TO GET THE BALL ROLLING?
TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY WENT OUT AT 104,000 MILES, REQUIRING NEW TRANSMISSION. ENTIRE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM HAD TO BE REPLACED TODAY THE BRAKES STOPPED WORKING SUDDENLY- WAITING FOR DIAGNOSIS. VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED. ALMOST IN THREE DIFFERENT ACCIDENTS TRYING TO GET SOMWHERE AND GET STOPPED. CATYLATIC CONVERTOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND CURRENTLY HAS THREE CODES RELATED TO IT SHOWING. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN PROBLEM AFTER PROBLEM SINCE DAY ONE. *JS
BRAKES RANDOMLY STARTED NOT WORKING. A LOT OF RESISTANCE, UNABLE TO STOP, UNABLE TO PUSH BRAKE TO FLOOR. FINALLY GOT SOMEWHERE AND PARKED AFTER AVOIDING THREE ACCIDENTS, VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED. BRAKE BOOSTER IS BAD. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 2015 TAHOE. WHY HASN'T THIS BEEN A RECALL????
2015 CHEVY TAHOE, WE PURCHASED TWO MONTHS AGO STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY. I WAS TURNING AROUND IN THE DRIVEWAY, HIT THE BRAKES, AND THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULDN'T MOVE. IT WAS EXTREMELY STIFF, CAUSING ME TO CRASH THE VEHICLE INTO MY UTILITY TRAILER. I PUSHED AS HARD AS POSSIBLE AND NOTHING HAPPENED. THERE WAS ALMOST NO BRAKING PRESSURE AT ALL AND MY SUV JUST KEPT GOING. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE FOR MY FAMILY BUT NOW EVERYONE IS SCARED TO RIDE IN IT. I'VE FINANCED A VEHICLE FOR YEARS THAT I'VE HAD POSESSION OF FOR MONTHS, AND IT'S MOST NESSCERY SAFTEY FUNCTION HAS FAILED. I'M EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I'VE ALWAYS OWNED GM VEHICLES. AS A 31 YEAR OLD FATHER OF 3 SMALL CHILDREN, THIS WAS A VERY LARGE PURCHASE FOR OUR YOUNG FAMILY. NOW I FEEL I MAY HAVE TO LOOK OUTSIDE MY TRUSTED BRAND TO FIND A SAFE VEHICLE I CAN TRANSPORT THE MOST PRECIOUS CARGO IN. IT'S VERY DISAPPOINTING . I THEN FIND OUT THIS EXACT ISSUE HAS CAUSED MULTIPLE CRASHES INVOLVING INJURIES. GM IS AWARE THIS IS A PROBLEM, LAWSUITS HAVE BEEN FILED, YET LITTLE OR NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. I HAVE A 2015 CHEVY TAHOE.IT HAS PUT MY FAMILY IN HARMS WAY A DOZEN TIMES IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS.THE VEHICLE SHOWS A "STABILITRAK" WARNING..THEN THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS,THE ENGINE AND ALL ELECTRICAL SHUTS DOWN,AND YOU LOOSE COMPLETE CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.IT HAS ALMOST KILLED US.GM AND OUR LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP ARE DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT.THE CHEVY MECHANICS KEEP TELLING US THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT.WE ARE HONESLTY AFRAID THE VEHICLE IS GOING TO KILL US OR SOMEONE ELSE.

THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE HAS NOT YET BEEN DETERMINED THE CONTACT WAS LEFT STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND EXPRESSED CONCERNS FOR HIS SAFETY. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT PREVIOUSLY, THE DASHBOARD GAUGES HAD SUDDENLY SHUT OFF AND ON OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY START. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HERB CHAMBERS CHEVROLET (90 ANDOVER ST. DANVERS MA 01923). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000 .
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE ODOR OF FUEL WAS PRESENT INSIDE THE CABIN. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT FUEL WAS LEAKING FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HUBERT VESTER CHEVROLET(3717 RALEIGH RD PKWY W., WILSON, NC) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL LINES WERE DAMAGED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
UPON PRESSING BRAKES HEADLIGHTS FLASH, INTERIOR LIGHT FLASH, OIL GAGE AND RPMS FLUCTUATE ALL OVER. STABILITRACK SENSOR COMES ON. UPON ACCELERATING TO ABOUT 60-65THE CAR BRAKES FOR ITSELF. DOORS LOCK, LIGHTS FLASH. LOSING POWER STEERING WHEN SHIFTING GEARS
PULLING INTO GARAGE AT LOW SPEED AND BRAKES DIDN'T WORK PROPERLY. A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF PRESSURE WAS REQUIRED TO STOP. I PRESSED WITH BOTH FEET AND BARELY WAS ABLE TO GET VEHICLE TO STOP BEFORE CRASHING INTO THE HOUSE. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION.
DRIVING MY CAR TODAY AND HAD A HUGE ISSUE WITH MY BRAKES. WHEN BACKING OUT OF PARKING SPACE AND NOTICED SOMEONE WALKING BEHIND ME AND HIT THE BRAKES, IT WAS LIKE THEY WERE STUCK. AFTER A COUPLE OF SECONDS THEY FINALLY GAVE AND STOPPED, SO I JUST THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS A FLUKE. THIS HAPPENED WHILE I WAS 2 HOURS AWAY FROM HOME. THEN ON DRIVE BACK HOME, I GOT STUCK IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC BECAUSE OF AN ACCIDENT ON THE INTERSTATE. TRAFFIC CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP, SO I HIT MY BRAKES AND SAME THING, THEY WERE STUCK (WOULD NOT MOVE). AFTER ABOUT 3 SECONDS OF PUSHING THEM AS HARD AS I COULD, THEY FINALLY GAVE AND JUST BARELY MISSED HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I FINALLY SEARCHED THE INTERNET TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE HAD EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM. I WAS VERY SHOCKED TO SEE THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM! THIS IS A HUGE SECURITY RISK! I WAS ALMOST IN 2 SEPARATE ACCIDENTS TODAY BECAUSE OF A KNOWN PROBLEM! SHOULDN'T SOMEONE BE NOTIFYING TAHOE OWNERS OF THIS ISSUE TO KEEP THE PUBLIC SAFE?
HEAVY MOISTURE IS ACCUMULATING IN THE FRONT LEFT HEADLIGHT WITH NO CRACKS IN THE LIGHT. IT IS CAUSING THE LEFT FRONT TURN SIGNAL TO MALFUNCTION WITH A WARNING ON CONTROL PANEL. THIS IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVING WHEN MAKING LEFT TURNS WITH NO FRONT TURN SIGNAL AND WILL CAUSE AN ACCIDENT EVENTUALLY TO SOME OWNERS WHO CANNOT AFFORD TO GET IT FIXED. CHEVY WILL NOT TAKE OWNERSHIP OF FAULTY DESIGN, PART, OR SYSTEM AND WANTS OWNER OF CAR TO ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR REPAIR COSTS WHICH ARE VERY HIGH ON THESE FAULTY PARTS. THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WE PURCHASED DOES NOT WANT TO PAY FOR REPAIR EITHER WHY SHOULD THE OWNER WHO HAS NO CONTROL OVER THE INSTALLATION OF DEFECTIVE SYSTEM HAVE TO PAY FOR IT ? PLEASE HELP SAVE LIVES FROM POTENTIAL CRASHES.
AIR CONDITIONER STOPPED WORKING. IT IS ONLY BLOWING HOT AIR.
I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT IN THE PARKING LOT AT A SLOW SPEED (LEAS RHAN 5 MILES) PREPARING TO STOP FOR PEOPLE CROSSING. THE BRAKE DID NOT WORK AND THE CAR KEPT ROLLING ALMOST HITTING A PERSON. I PULLED INTO A SPOT TOWARDS THE END OF THE PARKING LOT AND THE BRAKES CONTINUED TO NOT WORK EVEN WHEN PRESSING WITH 2 FEET. PER CHEVY DEALARSHIP I HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP FIXED. MINIMAL EXPLANATION NEEDED WHEN I BROUGHT MY CAR IN, SERVICE GUY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT WITHOUT ASKING ANY QUESTIONS.

CONDENSATION COLLECTING INSIDE OF BOTH HEADLIGHT COVERS. I HAVE PAID $200.00 FOR A TURN SIGNAL REPLACEMENT. NOW GETTING ANOTHER FAILURE WARNING ON SAME HEADLIGHT AND THE DLR IS OUT ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF VEHICLE. I WAS TOLD DEALER IT WOULD COST 2000.00 TO REPLACE BOTH GASKETS. GM HAS ISSUED SERVICE BULLETIN STATING THE PROBLEM COULD BE CAUSED BY THE VEHICLE BEING EXPOSED TO RAIN?? OR CAR WASHING. I NOTICED CONDENSATION WHILE PARKED IN GARAGE
THE INTERIOR LIGHTS FLICKER WHENEVER THE VEHICLE'S BRAKES OR LEFT BLINDER IS USED. THE FLICKERING CAUSES DISTRACTION FOR THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS. FLICKERING HURTS EYES, IN ADDITION CAUSING HEADACHES AND POTENTIAL FOR SEIZURES. FLICKERING OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION AND WHEN THE BREAKS ARE USED AND/OR THE LEFT BLINKER IS TURNED ON. THIS IS ESPECIALLY DISRUPTIVE WITH INNER CITY DRIVING.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT HIGH SPEEDS, 70-80 MPH, STEERING BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT FOR BRIEF PERIODS. OFTEN TIMES IT WAS IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING ACTUATION OF THE AUTOMATIC WINDOW SWITCH. IT WAS ACCOMPANIED WITH A LOT OF THE LOSS OF ELECTRICAL POWER, A FLICKERING CONTROL PANEL, ABS LIGHT, STAB TRAK, BRAKE ASSIST, AND PARK ASSIST WARNINGS. A/C WOULD STOP, RADIO WOULD TURN OFF, THE DASHBOARD WOULD FLICKER, THEN I WOULD HAVE TO ACKNOWLEDGE ALL OF THE WARNINGS IN ORDER TO CLEAR THE ISSUE. STEERING WAS TOUGH, THOUGH CONTROLLABLE, BUT I QUESTION THE ABILITY OF A LESS EXPERIENCED DRIVE TO BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE SAME PROBLEM AT THOSE SPEEDS. THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE AT LOWER SPEEDS, USUALLY WHILE BACKING UP TO PARK. AT LOWER SPEEDS THE SUV WOULD CUT OFF COMPLETELY. AT HIGHER SPEEDS, THE STALL WAS RECOVERABLE, VERY FORTUNATE IN THIS MATTER. UNABLE TO GET THE ISSUE TO REPEAT AT THE DEALERSHIP AND IT IS VERY INCONSISTENT. USUALLY RESETS ITSELF ONCE THE CAR IS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED.
BRAKE PUMP FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. GM KNOWS OF THIS PROBLEM AND SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BEFORE LIVES ARE LOST, PEOPLE ARE INJURED OR PROPERTY IS DAMAGED (FROM THIS POINT FORWARD).
THE A/C COMPRESSOR FAILED FROM A MELTED CLUTCH. I TOOK MY TAHOE IN FOR A ALIGNMENT AND THE A/C WAS WORKING FINE 2 DAYS LATER I HAD TO TAKE THE TAHOE BACK TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THE ALIGNMENT FELT OFF. THE DEALERSHIP CHECKED THE ALIGNMENT AND DIDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. I PICKED UP THE CAR AND NOTICED THE A/C WAS NO LONGER WORKING. I TOOK THE TAHOE TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT BECAUSE THE PREVIOUS DEALERSHIP ASSURED ME THEY DIDN'T CAUSE THE ISSUE EVEN THOUGH IT HAPPENED RIGHT AFTER I PICKED UP THE TAHOE, AND THE A/C WAS WORKING WHEN I BROUGHT THE TAHOE INTO THE FIRST DEALER SHIP TO HAVE THE ALIGNMENT CHECKED AGAIN. OUR TAHOE ONLY HAS 50K MILES AND THIS ISSUES SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. I HAVE READ ONLINE AND THERE HAS BEEN MANY A/C ISSUES WITH THESE MODEL YEAR TAHOE AND GM EVEN ISSUES AND EXTENDED WARRANTY ON CERTAIN ISSUES WITH A/C, BUT THERE HAVE BEEN MANY COMPLAINTS SIMILAR TO MINE AND GM HAS YET TO ADDRESS THEM
STRUT LEAKING (FRONT DRIVER/ PASSAGE SIDE) AND SHOCKS MALFUNCTIONED (REAR). DRIVING ON A FAIRLY SMOOTH HIGHWAY, DOING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH WHEN I NOTICED THAT MY SUV WAS BOUNCING AND EXPERIENCING A ROUGH RIDE. PULLED OVER AT THE NEXT GAS STATION AND NOTICED THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE WAS A LITTLE HIGHER THAN NORMAL. IMMEDIATELY TOOK THE SUV TO THE CLOSEST REPAIR SHOP (FIRESTONE). THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS BOTH STRUTS WERE LEAKING AND THE SHOCKS APPEARED TO BE EXTENDED. THIS VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN OFF ROAD OR TOWED ANYTHING (EXCEPT A BIKE RACK). TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A CHEVY DEALERSHIP (THIS WAS SATURDAY). THE DEALERSHIP COMFIRMED BOTH FRONT STRUTS WERE LEAKING AND ESTIMATED THAT IT WOULD BE APPROXIMATELY $1700.00 PLUS A FRONT END ALIGNMENT (DIAGNOSTIC COSTED $138.00). THE ISSUE WITH THE REAR SHOCKS WAS NOT DIAGNOSED AND I WAS ASKED TO BRING THE VEHICLE BACK ON MONDAY MORNING BUT I WAS IN ROUTE TO A YOUTH SOFTBALL GAME IN ANOTHER CITY. SO MY FAMILY AND I SUFFERED THE ROUGH RIDE AND RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP, WHICH DIAGNOSED THE REAR SHOCK ISSUE AS A MALFUNCTION AND BOTH SHOCKS NEED TO BE REPLACED WITH A COST OF $1700.00. NOW, THAT IS A TOTAL REPAIR EQUALED $3600.00. GM SHOULD LOOK INTO THE SUSPENSION ISSUE WITH THE TAHOE. IT IS A 2015 TAHOE LTZ. IT IS DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE THAT THE ENTIRE SUSPENSION SYSTEM WOULD GO OUT ON A VEHICLE WITH THAN 62K MILES. GM LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 19V761000 (ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC, SERVICE BRAKES) AND 19V645000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). WHILE PULLING INTO A DRIVEWAY, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP. THE FAILURE RECURRED WHILE AT A STOP SIGN, WHICH CAUSED THE CONTACT TO DRIVE THROUGH THE STOP SIGN. THERE WERE NO CRASHES REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TEAM ONE CHEVROLET BUICK GMC (888-518-1576, LOCATED AT 12899 GARRETT HWY, OAKLAND, MD 21550) WHERE IT WAS STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL DUE TO THE HIGH MILEAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,696.
HEAVY MOISTURE IS ACCUMULATING IN THE FRONT LEFT HEADLIGHT WITH NO CRACKS IN THE LIGHT. IT IS CAUSING THE LEFT FRONT TURN SIGNAL TO MALFUNCTION WITH A WARNING ON OUR INSTRUMENT PANEL. THIS CAUSES A DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN WHEN MAKING LEFT TURNS AS THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL IS INOPERATIVE. CHEVROLET IS NOT ACCEPTING OWNERSHIP OF THE FAULTY DESIGN, OR PART, OR SYSTEM AND WANTS US TO ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE QUOTED $1200 IN REPAIR COSTS JUST TO REPLACE ONE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WE PURCHASED ALSO WON'T COVER IT. I'M FINDING OUT THROUGH RESEARCH THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON THIS VEHICLE. JUST OVER 50K MILES ON THE VEHICLE! THESE SHOULD BE RECALLED!
ALL OF THE DOME LIGHTS IN MY TAHOE FLASH WHEN I BRAKE OR PUT ON THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL. A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH SHOWS THAT THIS SEEMS TO BE A FAIRLY COMMON PROBLEM WITH SPECIFICALLY THE 2015 TAHOE.
LOST ALL BRAKE BOOST WHILE BACKING A BOAT DOWN A STEEP BOAT RAMP. WAS ABLE TO STOP, BUT I'M SURE A SMALLER PERSON (LIKE MY WIFE) WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO. THE REPAIR SHOP REPLACED THE VACUUM PUMP. I NOW UNDERSTAND THIS IS A COMMON, KNOWN GM PROBLEM.
WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES THE TRUCK WILL SHUT OFF .ALL POWER WILL CUT OFF ( TRUCK WILL CUT OFFF, NO LIGHTS , ALL POWER SHUTS OFF . I WILL POP THE HOOD MOVE THE BATTERY POST IT HI THE BATTERY AREA AND THE POWER COMES BACK ON
POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING AND GM WON'T REPLACE UNDER OTHER POWER STEERING RECALLS HAD TO PAY 3K TO FIX, ALSO STEERING ASSIST OUT AS WELL AND WON'T FIX UNLESS PAID FOR.
AT AROUND 59,000 MILES THE REAR SUSPENSION WAS VERY BOUNCY AND A HARD RIDE. TOOK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY ADVISED THE REAR SHOCKS HAD EXTENDED OUT AND STUCK. STATED THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH THIS YEAR MODEL OF VEHICLE 2015 TAHOE LTZ. THE LEFT FRONT STRUT WAS ALSO LEAKING. WAS ADVISED THIS SYSTEM IS CONTROLLED ELECTRONICALLY TO ADJUST THE RIDE AND HAVE ALL FOUR STRUT/SHOCKS WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH EACH OTHER TO LEVEL OUT FOR A SMOOTH RIDE. WELL $1900.00 DOLLARS FOR THE REAR INSTALLED AND ABOUT $1000.0 FOR THE FRONT. SO $3000.00 DOLLARS LATER NO COVERED UNDER WARRANTY ON A VEHICLE WITH LESS THEN 60K MILES IS NOT GOOD. HELL MY FIRST SET OF FACTORY TIRES OUT LASTED THE MECHANICAL SHOCKS/STRUTS. IT APPEARS CHEVY HAS A ISSUE THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO FIX OR DO A RECALL NOTICE ON. THIS COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE IN VEHICLE HANDLING IN CURVES AND HILLS?
BRAKE VACUUM PUMP LOSES PRESSURE WHEN BRAKES PRESSED REPETITIVELY. WHILE IN TRAFFIC I REAR ENDED ANOTHER MOTORIST DUE TO BRAKE PRESSURE LOSS. CAUSING DAMAGE TO BOTH VEHICLES. NO INJURIES DUE TO LOW SPEED BUT EVEN AT HIGH SPEEDS BRAKE PRESSURE IS LOST, IF THE BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED REPEATEDLY YOU LOSE ALL BRAKE ASSIST. VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT IN FOR RECALL REGARDING ABS SOFTWARE UPDATE BUT BRAKES STILL FEEL HORRIBLE. TSB WAS ISSUED TO VEHICLES UNDER 72000 BUT ONLY BEGAN THIS YEAR. CURRENT TSB DOES NOT COVER MY VEHICLE. I CONTACT THE GM REGARDING THIS ISSUE AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WILL NOT COVER MY VEHICLE ONE MAKE EXCEPTIONS.THIS NEEDS TO BE A FULL RECALL OF THE VACCUM PUMP, VACUUM LINE AND MASTER CYLINDER LIKE STATED IN THE TSB. SOMEONE CAN DIE FROM THIS ISSUE IF GOING DOWN HILL AT SPEED.
VACUUM PUMP FAILED ON FREEWAY AT LOW SPEED. CHEVROLET HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THERE IS A PROBLEM BUT ONLY OFFERS REPLACEMENT FOR UNDER 70,000 MILES. I AM AT 80,000 MILES AND HAD TO PAY $800 ON MY VACATION TRIP.

SUSPENSION SUDDENLY BECAME VERY BOUNCY WHEN DRIVING ON A CITY STREET. SEARCHED THE WEB AND THIS ISSUE SEEMS TO AFFECT ALL TAHOE, ESCALADE AND YUKON MODELS ALONG WITH CHEVY AND GMC TRUCKS WITH THE MAGNERIDE SUSPENSION.

I PURCHASED MY 2015 TAHOE LTZ IN AUG. 2018 WITH 59,582 MIKES ON IT. MY MILEAGE IS NOW AT 73,504 & HAS RECENTLY STARTED BOUNCING SO BAD WHEN I AM DRIVING ON A RELATIVELY SMOOTH HIGHWAY. DON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WITH IT BUT I SUSPECT IT'S A SUSPENSION PROBLEM. IT SEEMS TO GET WORSE EVERY TIME I DRIVE SINCE I FIRST NOTICED IT IN MAY, 2019. I PAID A LOT FOR THIS CAR & EXPECT IT TO LAST LONGER THAN 4 OR 5 YEARS. I'VE JUST READ THAT THIS CHEVROLET VEHICLE HAS HAD 13 RECALLS WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY NOT ACCEPTABLE. I WOULD LIKE FOR GM TO RECALL THESE VEHICLES & REPAIR THE PROBLEM WITH THE SUSPENSION SINCE IT COULD BE HAZARDOUS.

WHILE DRIVING SUSPENSION SYSTEM ALLOWS CAR TO BOUNCE BADLY, AS IF ALL SHOCKS ARE NOT WORKING, LTZ MODEL HAS MAG RIDE ACTIVE SUSPENSION. THIS PROBLEM IS FOUND TO BE COMMON ON 2015 TAHOE AND SUBURBANS. MANY FORUMS ON WEB HAVE REPORTS OF THIS SYSTEM FAILURE AT LOW MILAGE. MY TAHOE WAS PURCHASED NEW AND HAS ONLY 71K MILES, NO COLLISIONS OR ACCIDENTS. ALL MAINTAINED CE PERFORMED AS NEEDED.

OCCASIONALLY, THE WARNING LIGHTS FLASH WHEN MAKING AN ADJUSTMENT LIKE CHANGING TO BRIGHT LIGHTS OR ACTIVATING THE TURN SIGNAL. LEFT TURN SIGNAL DISENGAGES CRUISE WHEN ACTIVATED. GM HAS UPDATED THE SOFTWARE TWICE DUE TO SERVICE OVER THE ABOVE COMPLAINTS. FIXES PROBLEM FOR SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME.
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS MY CARE HAS GIVEN ME A WARNING OF STABILITY RACK ISSUES AND IT WILL THEN JUST SHUT DOWN. THIS HAS HAPPENED IN THE MIDDLE OF TURNING INTO PARKING LOTS AS WELL AS BACKING INTO PARKING SPOTS. I THEN HAVE TO ROLL DOWN AND UP MY DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS BEFORE I CAN RESTART MY VEHICLE.
