Driving down highway 86 AZ going south on mile marker 89 there was loose gravel/rock as it hit my windshield it cracked it.
I PULLED INTO MY DRIVEWAY... THE ENGINE SPEED STARTED INCREASING AND SIMULTANEOUSLY THE BRAKE PEDAL SUNK INTO THE FLOOR AND BRAKING ABILITYWAS LOST. THIS HAPPENED ABOUT 4 FEET FROM MY GARAGE DOOR AND THIS CAUSED MY TRUCK INTO THE GARAGE DOOR. I HAVE A DRIVEWAY VIDEO OF ME ON THE PHONE AND THEN THE CAR BEING ACCELERATED THROUGH THE GARAGE DOOR.

THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 69,000.
FRAME RUSTING
HAVING ISSUES WITH BRAKING. OCCASIONALLY AT HIGH SPEEDS, BUT MORE OFTEN DURING LOWER SPEEDS. THE BRAKE PEDAL BECOMES VERY HARD TO DEPRESS AND MEANWHILE THE VEHICLE IS STILL MOVING, NOT ALLOWING YOU TO STOP. HAPPENS ALSO GOING IN REVERSE. HAD A COLLISION, HIT THE REAR END OF ANOTHER VEHICLE YESTERDAY MORNING DURING RUSH HOUR, 3/18/2019. I WAS SLOWING DOWN TO 15 MPH, DUE TO A RED LIGHT, BUT BRAKE PEDAL WOULD NOT BRAKE, BECOMING VERY STIFF, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO BRAKE, AND STOPPED DUE TO THE COLLISION. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS HURT. FRONT BODY SEVERE DAMAGE TO MY TAHOE. POLICE REPORT HAS BEEN FILED. WE BOUGHT THIS TAHOE IN FALL OF 2017, AND FEBRUARY 2017, TOOK INTO THE DEALERSHIP DUE TO THE BRAKING ISSUES, NOTHING WAS FOUND OR DONE TO THE BRAKE SYSTEM. TAHOE IS BACK AT DEALERSHIP AS OF TODAY, AND NOTHING HAS BEEN FOUND, ACCORDING TO CHEVY TECHS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR FAILED TO CLOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR ACTUATOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOORS FAILED TO CLOSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
THE EXTERIOR SIDE PANEL THAT SEPARATE FRONT AND BACK OF TAHOE THREATENS TO FLY OFF DURING DRIVING. IT'S PRIMARILY ON HIGHWAY DRIVING FROM 50+ MILES PER HOUR. IT'S AS IF WIND IS GETTING UNDER THEM AND ITS ALWAYS A CONCERN THEY ARE GOING TO FLY OFF. WE OFTEN ARE STOPPING AND HITTING IT BACK IN PLACE. IF IT COME OFF IT WILL BE A $130-180 PIECE EACH SIDE AND COSMETICALLY UGLY FOR OUR VEHICLE AND A DANGER TO OTHER MOTOR VEHICLES AS A FLYING OBJECT. PLEASE RECALL THIS AS WE ARE HEARING FROM DEALERSHIPS IT IS A COMMON PART COMING OFF OF THE TAHOES. IT IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE. IT DIDN'T HAPPEN JUST ONCE.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 70 MPH AND MY WIFE LOOKED IN THE PASSENGER SIDE MIRROR AND SAW THE APPLIQUE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR BEHIND THE WINDOW (WHERE THE B PILLAR IS) WAS LOOSE AND FLAPPING IN THE WIND. I HAD SOME TAPE IN THE VEHICLE SO I PULLED TO THE SIDE, TAPED IT DOWN, AND CONTINUED DRIVING. I TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE CHEVROLET DEALER THE NEXT DAY AND THEY SAID IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE TAHOE. THE DEALER SAID THE DESIGN OF THE APPLIQUE ATTACHMENT WAS POORLY DONE AND WHEN THEY REPLACE THEM THEY NOW USE A STRONGER ATTACHMENT. THE DEALER FOUND 2 OTHER APPLIQUES LOOSE AND RECOMMENDED REPLACING THEM AS WELL BEFORE THEY FLEW OFF WHILE DRIVING AND POSSIBLY CAUSING A SAFETY ISSUE TO SOMEONE BEHIND MY TAHOE.
THE LIFTGATE MALFUNCTION IS BOTH BIZARRE AND DANGEROUS. WHEN OPENED IT PROCEEDS TO DROP ABOUT A FOOT QUICKLY, ENOUGH TO CREATE SERIOUS HEAD CONTACT. IT THEN PROCEEDS TO CLOSE WITHOUT USE OF SENSORS, REPEATEDLY PINNING THE OPERATOR AGAINST THE BACK OF THE CAR. ONLY WITH STRENGTH AND AGILITY DID MY WIFE MANAGE TO SLIDE OUT THE SIDE. WE ARE THANKFUL THAT THE ONLY DAMAGE WAS A BRUISE ON HER LEG. IT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE FOR AN OLDER, LESS AGILE PERSON. IT HAPPENS WHEN VEHICLE IS STATIONARY, ON OR OFF. THE DEALER PLANS TO REPLACE THE LIFTGATE ACTUATOR, BUT IT WILL BE AT OUR EXPENSE. CHEVY HAS DECLINED COVERAGE BECAUSE WE ARE NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER, WE DID NOT BUY IT FROM A CHEVY DEALER AND WE DID NOT PURCHASE EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERAGE. THERE IS NO RECALL OUTSTANDING SO THEY HAVE NO OBLIGATION TO HELP US. HAD MY WIFE GONE TO A DOCTOR FOR THE BRUISE ON HER LEG CHEVY'S DECISION WOULD HAVE GONE TO A DIFFERENT SUPERVISOR, BUT WE DO NOT ACT THAT WAY. WE ARE JUST GRATEFUL THAT SHE HAD THE WHEREWITHAL TO ESCAPE FROM A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I HAVE A VIDEO OF THE PROBLEM, BUT IT IS NOT IN A FORMAT (IMOV) THAT CAN BE UPLOADED HERE. I WILL HOLD ON TO IT.
MY TAHOE JUST STARTED TO HAVE A VIBRATION ISSUES AT SPEEDS FOR 60 TO 75MPH THE WHOLE CABIN SHAKES AND ALSO A WIND NOISE COMING FROM THE ROOF AT SPEEDS AT 80 MPH OR HIGHER MY MILEAGE IS 21000 I GET HEADACHES WHEN DRIVING MY CHEVY TAHOE. *TR

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE PLASTIC MOLDING AROUND THE FRAME OF THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR AND TENDED TO PULL OUT APPROXIMATELY THREE INCHES OFF THE FRAME, WHICH CAUSED A DISTRACTION FOR THE DRIVER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MOLDING ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR FRAME WAS REPLACED A YEAR AGO. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (K & J CHEVROLET, CARLYLE, IL, 618-594-3113) WHERE THE MOLDING WAS REPLACED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR FRAME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 34,000. *TT UPDATED 8/14/18*JB
ALL 4 PIECES OF DOOR PILLAR TRIM HAVE COME OFF OR LOSE AND BANGING AGAINST VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET TAHOE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LIFTGATE SENSOR BECAME INOPERABLE WHENEVER THE SENSOR WAS TOUCHED. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE LIFTGATE INDEPENDENTLY OPENED OR CLOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FOOT SENSOR COULD NOT BE DEACTIVATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE CONTACT WANTED THE SENSOR DEACTIVATED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 4,400.

WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED TO A CURB, THE PLASTIC WIND DEFLECTOR WAS PLACED TOO LOW (APPROXIMATELY EIGHT INCHES FROM THE PAVEMENT), MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO PULL AWAY FROM THE CURB WITHOUT PULLING OUT THE FRONT FENDER. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE FRONT FENDER WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,702. BAD VIBRATION AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 60 TO 75 MPH ( GM DEALER HAS HAD CAR 3 TIMES AND REPLACED TIRES, ROAD FORCED BALANCED, CHECKED ALIGNMENT WITH NO SUCCESS ) ; WIND NOISE AND BUFFETING INSIDE CAR WITH ALL WINDOWS IN THE UP POSITION AT SPEEDS FROM 35 MPH AND UP CAUSING DIZZINESS AND NAUSEA ON LONGER RIDES. EXTERIOR DOOR PLASTIC FASCIA BECOMES LOOSE AND FALLS OFF DUE TO METAL CLIP BREAKING OFF AT THE ATTACHMENT POINT.
