I was driving on the highway going 65mph which is the legal speed limit. I got cut off by a driver and light tapped my brakes to slow the vehicle down. When I did so the vehicle then swerved to the left and started drifting sideways directly to a wall. I went head on with the wall. Then I bounced back across all lanes of traffic again still sideways and drifting hitting another wall. Which is where the vehicle ended at the stopping point of the accident. No airbags deployed in the accident. The driver behind me who witness the crash stated that the vehicle started to loose traction before I hit my brakes and me hitting my brakes caused the vehicle to them loose full control. I was in the process of buying this vehicle from Gresham Ford in Oregon. I was told the vehicle was 100% road safe and passed safety inspections. Which is false.
Airbag on drivers side deployed from the drivers seat without being hit. Opened my car door and the bag was deployed. Car was parked in my driveway.

THE DRIVER'S FACE WAS BRUISED AND A CAT SCAN WAS PERFORMED TO DETERMINE IF THERE WERE ANY BROKEN BONES, BUT THE TESTS WERE NEGATIVE. THE DRIVER ALSO TWISTED HER ANKLE AND THERE WAS A LITTLE BIT OF SWELLING ON HER KNEE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WANTED TO VISIT THE CONTACT'S HOME TO EXAMINE THE VEHICLE AND FIND OUT WHY THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 98,000.
ON DECEMBER 7, 2017, I GOT INTO MY VEHICLE AND SHORTLY AFTER STARTING THE IGNITION, BUT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STILL IDLE AND IN PARK, THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG SPONTANEOUSLY DEPLOYED WHILE I WAS PUTTING ON MY SEAT BELT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP WHERE IT REMAINS. GM CENTRAL CLAIMS UNIT WILL NOT RETURN MY VEHICLE TO ME. INSTEAD, THEY OFFERED TO PURCHASE IT FROM ME FOR $3,300. GM CENTRAL CLAIMS UNIT WILL NOT GIVE ME ANY INFORMATION REGARDING THE REASON FOR THE AIR BAG MALFUNCTION. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS CONFIDENTIAL.

I WAS INVOLVED IN A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT WHILE DRIVING MY 2002 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER DOWN A COUNTRY ROAD. DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MILES PER HOUR, WOMAN PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME TO TURN ONTO THE FREEWAY. A VEHICLE NEXT TO ME HONKED THEIR HORN AND MISSED HITTING HER BUT I HIT HER ON THE PASSENGER REAR PANEL OF HER CAR, DAMAGING HER VEHICLE AND BENDING THE REAR TIRE AT AN ANGLE. THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY AND WAS ON. I WAS TRAVELING ON A CITY STREET, GOING WESTBOUND, THE OTHER DRIVER WAS TURNING TO GO NORTHBOUND.
#1. ON 2 OCCASIONS LAST WEEK, MY TRAILBLAZER SUDDENLY LOST MOST OF ITS POWER, AND THE ENGINE LIGHT REDUCED ENGINE POWER CAME ON! I PULLED OVER, CUT THE CAR OFF, THEN RESTARTED IT, AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME. #2. THE SEAT BELTS ON THE FRONT PASSENGER AND REAR RIGHT SIDES LOCK UP TIGHTLY THE MOMENT YOU BUCKLE UP. IT LOCKS UP SO TIGHTLY THAT YOU CANNOT MOVE IF YOU WANTED. THESE PROBLEMS SHOWED WHILE DRIVING ON MIAMI STREETS. #3. ON 2 OR 3 OCCASIONS A STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE CAME INTO THE CAR WHILE DRIVING. THE SMELL SEEMED TO BE COMING FROM INSIDE THE BACK OF THE CAR, BUT I WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE ANY GASOLINE BACK THERE. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, I SMELLED GAS OUTSIDE IN THE AREA OF GAS TANK.
THE VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON CRASH INTO A TELEPHONE POLE AND THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER WAS INJURED AND THE DRIVER STRUCK THE STEERING WHEEL AND DIED AT THE HOSPITAL FROM INTERNAL INJURIES. WE ARE TRYING TO DETERMINE WHY THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE PASSENGER WAS NOT WEARING A SEAT BELT AND IT ALSO APPEARS THAT THE DECEASED DRIVER WAS NOT WEARING A SEAT BELT.

THE 2ND ROW CENTER SEAT BELT RETRACT HAS LOCKED INTO PLACE THE SEAT BELT IS FULLY REELED IN AND WILL NOT UNLOCK. I RESEARCHED THIS FOR THE LAST 24 HOURS AND COME TO FIND OUT HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE MIDDLE SEAT IN 2ND ROW NOT JUST THE FRONT PASSENGER OF CHEVY TRAILBLAZERS 2002-2004 THAT WAS RECALLED PREVIOUSLY. EITHER WAY THIS IS A MASSIVE SAFETY ISSUE! SEAT BELTS ARE MEANT TO LAST 30+ YEAR BEFORE THEY EVEN SHOW ANY KIND OF WEAR AND TEAR, NOT 11 YEARS. PLEASE ISSUE THE RECALL SO WE CAN SAFELY STRAP OUR CHILDREN INTO THE BACK SEAT AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY IF THE SEAT BELT IS GOING TO MAINTAIN ITS FUNCTION OR NOT. OUR CHILDREN'S LIVES ARE AT STAKE HERE.
