THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE STARTED APPROXIMATELY FIVE MONTHS AGO. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 188,000.
1. MY DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW AND DOOR LOCK IS SHORTED OUT AND WONT OPERATE AT ALL. WHILE DRIVING CAUSING THE WINDOW TO REMAIN DOWN DURING A RAIN STORM AND IMPEDING MY VISIBILITY. I SEE THEY HAVE RECALLS ON OTHER YEARS FOR THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM. 2. MY SEAT BELT CATHES REALLY TIGHT AND WONT RELEASE CASUSING ME PAIN. 3. MY HEADLIGHTS REGULAR BEAMS KEEP COMING LOOSE AND BLOWING OUT.IVE HAD TO FIX THIS THREE TIMES AND I HAVE ONLY OWNED THE VEHICLE FOR A WEEK. TWICE DURING DRIVING AT NIGHT ONCE I AM NOT SURE WHEN IT BLEW. 4. THE FRONT SUSPENSION IS HAVING PROBLEMS AND I BELIEVE MAY BE A RECALL ISSUE. I WAS DRIVING ON HIGHLAND AVE. IN SOUTH PORTLAND MAINE , WHEN, SUDDENLY, THE CAR SEEMED TO LURCH AND TRY TO GO IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. WHEN I EXAMINED THE STEERING I FOUND THAT THE FRONT WHEELS WERE INDEED POINTED OUTWARD. I CALLED AAA AND HAD THEM TOW IT TO BLACK POINT AUTO, WHERE IT STILL SITS WAITING FOR REPAIRS. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DEEMED AS DESTROYED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM BRACKET FRACTURED, WHICH CAUSED THE CRASH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 01V126000 (SUSPENSION:FRONT:CONTROL ARM:LOWER ARM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.
I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND STARTED HEARING THE TRUCKS UNDERCARRIAGE START TO RATTLE AND GRIND ON THE BUMPS OF THE ROAD. I HAD A SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER ON ENGINE AND IT WOULDNT RESPOND TO MY PRESSING ON THE GAS. I BELIEVED THAT I HAD GAS IN THE TRUCK BECAUSE THE GAUGE READ HALF FULL AND APPARENTLY I WAS OUT OF GAS. SO I PROCEEDED TO PULL INTO A GAS STATION AND AS SOON AS WE FILLED UP, THE TRUCK WOULD NOT START! I SAW THAT MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND HAD TO ASK FOR A JUMPSTART TO GET IT STARTED AGAIN. AT ANOTHER TIME AND DATE AGAIN THE TRUCK WENT DEAD, I ASKED FOR A JUMPSTART AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESPOND. I NOW HAD TO BUY A NEW BATTERY BECAUSE THE CAR DAMAGED THE ORIGINAL BATTERY AND NOW WITH THE NEW BATTERY INSTALLED MY CAR STARTS BUT WILL NOT STAY ON WITHOUT ME PRESSING ON THE GAS WHILE IN PARK GEAR. I BELIEVE SOMETHING MAY BE DEFECTIVE WITH THE ELECTRICAL GAUGES, FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM, AND SUSPENSION. *TR

SOMETIMES IT WILL NOT GO MORE THAN 20 AND 10 MPH. I'VE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY CLEANED THE THROTTLE AND CHANGED SOME FILTERS AND 2 DAYS LATER....THE SAME LIGHTS COME ON AND THE ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED. THE DEALER DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS SO THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO DO THIS AND HAS BEEN DOING THIS FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE CONTROL ARMS IN 2001 THAT AFFECTED THE 2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. I PURCHASED MY TRAILBLAZER IN 2002 SO I DIDN'T RECEIVE ANY RECALL INFORMATION. I HAVE A 2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER 4WD. THE CLUTCH FAN IS BAD. FROM WHAT THE AUTO PARTS SERVICE CENTER ADVISED ME, ALL CLUTCH FANS ON THE 2002 TRAILBLAZERS SHOULD BE RECALLED. THE VEHICLE RUNS HIGH RPM'S WHEN FIRST STARTING. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARDS THAT THE GOV. SHOULD ADDRESS WITH CHEVY. DON'T WAIT UNTIL SOMEONE LOSES A LIFE, THEN ACT ON THIS COMPLAINT. YOU WOULD THINK AFTER THE FIRESTONE TIRE INCIDENT YOU PEOPLE WOULD WORK ON THE SIDE OF THE CONSUMER, AFTER ALL, WE DO PAY FOR YOUR AGENCY TO OPERATE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 165,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.

HAVE BEEN HAVING MAJOR TROUBLE WITH THE FRONT END. HAD IT CHECKED MULTIPLE TIMES AT THE DEALER AND AT A LOCAL MECHANICS SHOP AND THE BALL JOINTS AND BUSHINGS HAD TO BE REPLACED. EVEN THE THE WARRANTY WAS FINISHED, THE DEALER DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR THIS, BUT UNFORTUNATELY I THOUGHT THAT THIS WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE NOISE ON THE FRONT END, BUT IT IS STILL THERE!! ALSO YESTERDAY, APRIL 24, 2007, I HAD TO HAVE THE FAN CLUTCH REPLACED. THIS VEHICLE ONLY HAS 35,000 MILES. I HAVE ALSO HAD THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT COME ON AND STAY ON SEVERAL TIMES AND AFTER READING OTHER COMPLAINTS, I SHOULD CHECK OUT THE GAS TANK FOR ANY CRACKS. THE CAUSED THE RADIO TO SHORT OUT AND THE SPEAKERS TO BLOW. THE RADIO AND SPEAKERS HAD BEEN REPLACED SEVERAL TIMES. THE AMPLIFIER ALSO HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE MIDDLE SEAT BELT IN THE SECOND ROW LOCKED UP AS SOON AS IT WAS FASTENED INTO THE BUCKLE. WHEN THE DEFROSTER WAS USED THE CONSUMER HEARD A CLICKING NOISE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE MODE ACTUATOR AND MODE VALVE PER TSB 04-01-38-002. THE QUARTER PANEL ON THE ROOF SEAM SEALER CRACKED AND WAS RUSTED. THE PULL DOWN STRAP ON THE REAR HATCH BROKE. THE SWAY BAR BROKE. A GRINDING NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL WHEN MAKING SHARP LEFT TURN. THE DEALER DETERMINED THAT SUSPENSION WAS MISALIGNED AND CAUSED SHIELD TO TOUCH ROTOR. THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GAUGE WAS INOPERATIVE. THE REAR WIPER DID NOT TOUCH THE REAR WINDSHIELD. THERE WAS A HIGH PITCHED NOISE COMING FROM THE RIGHT SIDE TIRE WHENEVER IN MOTION. THE DEALER INDICATED IT WAS IMPROPERLY SEALED. *NM

TOOK CAR TO A CHEVY REPAIR SHOP AND THEY STATED THAT THE PART THAT CAME LOOSE SHOULD NOT HAVE DO SO WITH THE AGE AND USE OF THE CAR. TRANSMISSION CASE WAS PIERCED AND NEEDED REPLACED, AXLE BENT AND ADJACENT PARTS NEEDED REPLACED. OLD PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. COMPLETE WRITE UP ON DAMAGE AVAILABLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED SINCE I WAS IN SOMEONE'S FRONT YARD IT WAS CONSIDERED AN ACCIDENT.*JB
2002 TRAILBLAZER LS BEGINS TO SHAKE AT SPEEDS OVER 60 MPH. THE TIRES HAVE BEEN CHANGED AND HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. THIS PROBLEM IS NOT UNCOMMON IN THIS MODEL. ON 12-720-04 SHE STARTED HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. IT STARTED GRINDING WHEN SHE PUT IN FOURTH GEAR. WHEN SHE TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALER ,THEY TOLD HER THAT GEARS WERE FAULTY. WHEN SHE PUT VEHICLE IN 4-WHEEL DRIVE, IT BROKE. SHE HAD IT REPAIRED, AND THEN THE HEADLIGHTS WENT OFF BECAUSE THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH BURNED OUT. THEN SHE HAD A NEW ACTUATOR PUT ON IT AND A MONTH LATER, SHE HAD TO HAVE ANOTHER ACTUATOR PUT IN. ON 7-20-05 WHILE DRIVING, THE 4-WHEEL DRIVE SWITCH CAME ON, AND WAS SWITCHING BETWEEN 2-WHEEL DRIVE AND 4-WHEEL DRIVE. VEHICLE STOPPED, AND SHE PUT IT IN 4-WHEEL DRIVE. WENT BACK TO THE DEALER, WHO TOLD CONSUMER DIFFERENTIAL FAILED. BEFORE SHE COULD DRIVE HOME THE TRANSFER CASE MODULE WENT OUT. THE NAME OF THE DEALER WHERE SHE HAS BEEN TAKING THE CAR WAS GILLELANDS AT 3019 DIVISION STREET, ST. CLOUD, MN 56301.*AK IN ADDITION TO ALL THE VEHICLE'S PROBLEMS, THE SUNROOF WAS BROKEN AND THE SWAY BAR LINKS WERE LOOSE. *TT
I JUST HAD AN ALIGNMENT DONE ON OUR 2002 TRAILBLAZER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE RIGHT FRONT TIE ROD IS GOING TO NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE MECHANIC SHOWED ME HOW MUCH PLAY WAS IN THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE AND WHEEL. IT WAS ATLEAST ONE HALF INCH. THERE ARE NO GREASE FITTINGS ON THE 2002 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER BECAUSE THEY ARE SEALED. THE MECHANIC SAID THAT FOR THIS TO HAPPEN IT WOULD OF NOT HAD ENOUGH GREASE PUT IN AT THE FACTORY. HE ALSO SAID THAT THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THE WHEEL CAN BREAK AT THE TIE ROD AND THE FRONT WHEEL WILL NOT BE CONTROLLABLE.*AK
