MY AIR/HEAT ON OCCASION HAS NOT WORKED. THIS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES WHERE I WOULD TURN ON THE SYSTEM AND EVERYTHING WOULD SOUND LIKE IT WAS ON BUT NOTHING WOULD BLOW OUT AT ALL. MY VEHICLE IS OF COURSE OUT OF WARRANTY AND I WENT TO MY MECHANIC WHO SAID THIS IS AN ON GOING ISSUE WITH MANY GM VEHICLES. CURRENTLY MY UNIT IS NOT WORKING AGAIN. *TR
FIRST THE TACH QUIT WORKING AND NOW THE SPEEDOMETER AND CRUISE CONTROL ARE ERRATIC. HAVE SPOKEN WITH GM CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TAKEN IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE ARE FULLY AWARE OF THE PROBLEMS BUT UNWILLING TO STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCE OR FIX IT. *TR
I HAVE A 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER AND THE SPEEDOMETER IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY I HAVE BEEN ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND OUT THIS IS NOT THE ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM. *TR
I HAVE A 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WITH 45,000 MILES ON IT. I WAS DRIVING ALONG THE OTHER DAY AND NOTICED MY RPM GAUGE BOUNCING AROUND. FIVE MINUTES LATER I LOOKED DOWN AND WAS GOING 120 MPH IN A SCHOOL ZONE. I JUST HAPPENED TO BE SITTING STILL. ONCE I BEGAN MOVING THE SPEEDOMETER WAS BOUNCING LIKE CRAZY. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WILL BE NEXT , MAYBE FILLING FULL OF GAS AND STILL BE ON EMPTY? *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TACHOMETER AND SPEEDOMETER WERE BEHAVING ERRATICALLY ON A REGULAR BASIS. HE COULD NOT TELL IF HE WAS DRIVING 2 MPH OR 200 MPH DUE TO THE IRREGULARITY OF THE INDICATORS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY DID NOT COVER THE VEHICLE, AS WELL AS OTHER CHEVROLET MODELS THAT WERE INCLUDED IN A RECALL FOR THIS SAME FAILURE. THE COST OF THE REPAIR RANGED FROM $600-$800. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 65,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 64,000.
MY PASSENGER SIDE HEAD LAMP SHORTED OUT. ON 12.31.07 I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THE REPLACED A BURNT AND CHARRED CONNECTOR. ON APRIL3, 2008, THE HEAD LAMP AGAIN MALFUNCTIONED. DURING THE THREE MONTHS I NOTED AT LEAST 10 OTHER CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZERS WITH IN NON-OPERATING PASSENGER SIDE HEAD LAMP. THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE LOCAL DEALER ADVISED ME THAT THE HAVE SEEN THIS PROBLEM ON OTHER TRAILBLAZERS. I TRAVEL AT NIGHT AND THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
WHILE MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE REAR HATCH WINDOW SELF EXPLODED. IT WAS WITNESSED BY MANY GENERAL MOTORS EMPLOYEES. CHECKING ON THE WEB, I FOUND THAT THIS IS MORE COMMON THAN EXPECTED. HAPPENS MOSTLY IN CHEVY TRAILBLAZERS AND FORD ESCAPES. *TR
WE HAVE A 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER, THAT ORIGINALLY BEGAN WITH THE SPEEDOMETER APPEARING TO BE STUCK FOR A FEW DAYS, WOULD GRADUALLY DECREASE. FOLLOWED BY THE RPM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. TODAY, 11/28/08, ALL GAUGES LIT UP, WARNING BELLS RANG, AND THEN THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL SHUT DOWN. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE SILVERADO FOR THE SAME YEAR, BUT TRAILBLAZER OWNERS ARE REQUIRED TO PAY THE REPAIR BILL FOR A FAULTY INSTRUMENT PANEL. BEING UNABLE TO KNOW YOUR SPEED, HOW MUCH GAS YOU HAVE, OR IF YOUR RUNNING LOW ON VITAL FLUIDS SEEMS TO BE PRETTY DANGEROUS TO ME. THE FACT THAT GM WILL REPAIR THE SILVERADO, BUT NOT THE TRAILBLAZER DESPITE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE BOTH IN THE "TRUCK" CATEGORY IS RIDICULOUS. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT ANY ONE OF THESE PROBLEMS CAN LEAD TO DEATH OR INJURY OF THE OCCUPANTS OF MY VEHICLE, EITHER BY FIRE, STALLING IN TRAFFIC AND BEING HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED, OR BECAUSE OF THE INABILITY TO ENSURE THAT MY VEHICLE IS OPERATING WITH THE PROPER VITAL FLUIDS, AS WELL AS MAINTAINING A SAFE RATE OF SPEED. MY TEENAGE CHILDREN ALSO DRIVE THIS CAR ON OCCASION, AND THOUGH THEY'VE BEEN DRIVING FOR 3 & 4 YEARS, THEY DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH EXPERIENCE TO OPERATE THIS VEHICLE SAFELY. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE BRAKE LIGHTS, HOW CAN THEY JUSTIFY THAT WHEN PEOPLE ARE DRIVING AROUND WITHOUT PROPERLY WORKING INSTRUMENT PANELS? THE SOLUTION BEING OFFERED IS FOR THE CONSUMER TO PAY AT LEAST 500.00 TO REPAIR SOMETHING VITAL TO THE SAFE OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE, BUT GM WILL REPLACE THE TAILLIGHT/BRAKE LIGHT THAT COSTS PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR. *TR
SPEEDOMETER STARTED FAILING AFTER 30-45 MIN OF DRIVING THEN GOT MORE FREQUENT. I TOOK IT INTO LOCAL DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED VEHICLE IN LAS VEGAS AND THEY TOLD ME IT COULD BE ANYWHERE FROM $400-$600 TO REPAIR IT. I HAVE SINCE LEARNED IN THE LAST YEAR THAT THIS IS A HUGE GM ISSUE AND I AM GLAD I DID NOT HAVE IT REPAIRED AS OF YET. *TR
ON 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER THE SPEEDOMETER WILL GO FROM ZERO TO 60 WITH OUT MOVING. *TR
THE SPEEDOMETER IN MY 04 TRAILBLAZER STARTED ACTING CRAZY. ONE MINUTE IT WAS READING FINE, THEN SAID I WAS GOING 100 MPH. I HAVE TALKED WITH THE DEALERSHIP, BUT ALL THEY HAVE TO SAY IS THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, BUT NO RECALLS YET. I HAVE TRIED CONTACTING GM ON THIS PROBLEM BUT SEEM TO GET NO WHERE. THE SERVICE GUY AT THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY WOULD FIX IT, BUT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE HEFTY 500-600 BILL. WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS THAT ARE OUT THERE, I FEEL THAT GM SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. WHY ARE THEY BEING LAZY? SOMEONE COULD REALLY GET HURT, OR EVEN GET TICKETED FOR NOT KNOWING HOW FAST THEY ARE GOING. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING MY TRUCK LIKE THIS SINCE MARCH 08. *TR
I BUCKLED UP MY CHILD'S SAFETY SEAT AND IT DID NOT PROVIDE AN ANCHOR POINT ON THE BACK OF THE BENCH SEAT TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE HEAD SUPPORT IN AN EVENT OF A CRASH. THE REAR SEATBELT ALSO DID NOT PROVIDE A LOCK FEATURE; THEREFORE PROVIDING WHIPLASH IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH OR EVEN CAUSE THE CAR SEAT TO FALL OVER ON THE LEFT - OUT THE BACK PASSENGER WINDOW OR TO THE RIGHT TIPPING ON ANOTHER PASSENGER, CAUSING INJURY. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE MESSAGE CENTER INFORMED THE CONTACT TO TIGHTEN THE GAS CAP. WHEN HE ATTEMPTED TO TIGHTEN THE GAS CAP, HE NOTICED A THIN CRACK IN THE FILLER NECK. WHEN HE FILLS THE GAS TANK, THERE WAS SOME LEAKAGE FROM THE CRACK OF THE FILLER NECK. THE CONTACT HAS TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, BUT IT WAS NOT SERVICED BECAUSE THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 34,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 33,000. UPDATED 04/22/08. *LJ THE PIPE TO THE GAS TANK WAS COMPOSED OF PLASTIC. IT HAS A CRACK ABOUT 1/2 INCHES LONG AT THE GAS CAP AREA, THUS ALLOWING VAPORS TO ESCAPE THE TANK. UPDATED
DRIVERS SEAT ,LEFT SIDE COVER WITH POWER SEAT CONTROL, HAS BROKEN OFF 3 TIMES. WHEN GETTING IN TRUCK YOU MUST SIT ON COVER. THIS CAUSES THE COVER TO BREAK. THE WIRING IS THE ONLY THING HOLDING THE COVER ON. THIS COULD CAUSE A FIRE OR ACCIDENT. *TR
2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EX. BOTH BRAKE LIGHTS WERE NOT WORKING. THE CENTER HIGH BRAKE LIGHT WAS WORKING. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THE REPAIR WOULD BE COVERED UNDER MY PRIVATE EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT I PURCHASED WITH THE VEHICLE. I STATED I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE COVERED UNDER A RECALL OR SPECIAL POLICY EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE SERVICE PERSON SAID THAT HE WOULD CHECK. 1) THERE WAS RECALL NHTSA ACTIONS # EA04021 THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE THIS YEAR VEHICLE. 2) I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A GM SPECIAL POLICY THAT WOULD COVER THE RIGHT TAILLIGHT CIRCUIT BOARD. I WAS TOLD THIS FAILURE CAUSED THE BULBS IN THE LEFT BRAKE LIGHT TO FAIL. THERE IS NOT POLICY TO REPLACE THE LEFT CIRCUIT BOARD. IF IT FAILS THERE IT WILL BE COVERED FOR 6 YEARS OR 75,000 MILES. MY ISSUE IS IT THERE IS SOME SORT OF DEFECT THAT IS CAUSING BOTH BRAKE LIGHTS TO FAIL BUT THERE IS NOT A RECALL FOR THIS YEAR MODEL. *TR
THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IN MY 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER FUNCTIONS ERRATICALLY IF AT ALL. THIS BEHAVIOR BEGAN A FEW WEEKS AGO WHEN THE TACH WENT CRAZY AND EVENTUALLY JUST QUIT, THE NEEDLE NOW JUST SITS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE INSTRUMENT AND WIGGLES OCCASIONALLY. THE SPEEDOMETER IS ERRATIC IN THAT AT TIMES IT WILL JUST QUIT AND READ O -10 MPH WHEN I KNOW I AM GOING A LOT FASTER THAN THAT (FREEWAY SPEEDS). THE CRUISE CONTROL IS SO UNPREDICTABLE I DON'T DARE USE IT ANYMORE. IT SPEEDS UP FOR NO APPARENT REASON AND I AM AFRAID I WON'T BE ABLE TO TURN IT OFF. WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THESE ISSUES. ALL IN ALL OTHERWISE WE LIKE THE VEHICLE BUT THE PROBLEMS WITH THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ARE MAKING US THINK ABOUT GETTING RID OF IT. *TR
THE ODOMETER AND RPM GAUGE STOP FUNCTIONING. WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING THE ODOMETER STOPS BELOW THE ZERO AND STAYS STUCK, IT WILL STOP AT 50 AND STAY THERE, IT WILL STOP ON 120 AND STAY THERE. THE ODOMETER GAUGE SOMETIMES WILL STOP BELOW THE 120 RIGHT ABOVE THE DIGITAL MILEAGE GAUGE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL NO LONGER WORKS. SHE DOES NOT KNOW WHEN TO PLACE FUEL IN THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY RESET THE ELECTRONIC OIL GAUGE; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. IN ADDITION, THE SPEEDOMETER DISPLAYED INACCURATE READINGS WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 75,000. I WAS DRIVING MY TRAILBLAZER TO MINNEAPOLIS AND THE TURN SIGNALS WERE WORKING FINE, I STOP AND WHEN I STARTED DRIVING AGAIN I WENT TO USE MY LEFT TURN SIGNAL AND THE FLASHERS WENT ON INSTEAD. IT CONTINUED TO DO THIS EVERYTIME I USED IT. I HAD TO GO AND GET THE FLASHER MODULES REPLACE AT THE COST OF 200.00. I SEE THAT THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS BUT MY VIN # IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. *TR
TWO YEARS AGO MY WIFE AND I WERE DRIVING OUR 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN OUR SPEEDOMETER, OIL GAUGE, TACHOMETER,AND VOLTMETER WENT OUT. WE COULD NOT SEEM TO FIGURE OUT WHY EVERYONE WAS PASSING BY US SO QUICKLY WHEN WE WERE GOING THE SPEED LIMIT ACCORDING TO THE SPEEDOMETER. THANKFULLY WE HAD GPS AND WERE ABLE TO FIGURE OUT QUICKLY WHAT WAS HAPPENING. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. IF WE DIDN'T HAVE GPS WE WOULD HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO WAY OF KNOWING HOW FAST WE WERE GOING. SOON AFTER THIS HAPPENED, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND WE WERE HAVING ALL KINDS OF ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH SENSORS GOING BAD. I HAVE RESEARCHED THESE PROBLEMS AND IT SEEMS AS THOUGH WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES WITH THIS PROBLEM. GM HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL ON THIS MODEL FOR THIS PROBLEM, YET THEY DID FOR THE SUBURBAN LINE FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. PLEASE, IF YOU CAN, DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. WE HAVE YET TO FIX THESE PROBLEMS HOPING FOR A RECALL BUT HAVE HAD NO LUCK. WE ARE NOW IN THE PROCESS OF FIXING THESE PROBLEMS SO WE CAN PASS INSPECTION. THANKYOU VERY MUCH. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS COMMON BUT OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 87,000.
2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. GAS LEAK WHERE THE FILLER NECK CONNECTS TO THE TANK. I HAVE SEEN MANY, MANY OF THESE ON THE FORUMS. GM HAS A BAD DESIGN HERE. *TR
I HAVE A 2004 TRAILBLAZER WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH THE RECALL THAT IS GOING ON WITH GM. THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER IS DOING THE SAME EXACT THING AS THE TAHOE, AVALANCHE, AND I FORGOT WHAT THE OTHER THE CAR WAS. THE FUEL, WATER, AND BATTERY GAUGES, THE AIRBAG LIGHT, A LONG WITH THE BATTERY LIGHT STAYS ON. WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO FIND OUT WHY THERE WASN'T A RECALL AND THEY COULDN'T GIVE ME A ANSWER. I FEEL THAT IF GM IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH THE OTHER CARS AND HAVEN'T LOOK TO SEE IF THERE IS COMPLAINTS ON THESE, WHY HAVEN'T THEY ADDED THEM TO THE RECALLS. PAYING FOR THE REPAIRS AND HAVEN'T TO WAIT FOR GM TO SEND OUT A RECALL ON A VIN TYPE SPECIFIC CAR IS RIDICULOUS. IF THEY ARE HAVING THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM THEY NEED TO CHECK THE OTHER CARS. I CALLED THE CORPORATE OFFICE AND THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT I HAVE TO WAIT TO SEE IF THERE IS A LOT OF COMPLAINTS BEFORE THEY CAN DO ANYTHING. IF THEY STAND BY THERE QUOTE OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION THEN THEY ARE NOT SATISFYING THE CONSUMERS AND MAKE THEM GO THROUGH A WHOLE ORDEAL, ON FINDING A SOLUTION. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 3 DAYS FOR A PART AND FILL MY GAS TANK UP EVERY OTHER DAY TO MAKE SURE I DON'T RUN OUT OF GAS. PLUS, SINCE I CAN'T LOOK AT MY INSTRUMENTS TO TELL IF MY CAR IS GOING TO OVERHEAT AND MAKE IT INTO A BIGGER PROBLEM. SO, SINCE I CALLED THE CORPORATE OFFICE WE WILL IF THE PEOPLE WHO SPEND MONEY ON THERE PRODUCT WILL MAKE GOOD ON CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. *TR
2004 EXT TRAILBLAZER CLUSTER INSTUMENT PANEL. NON WORKING RPM, SPEEDOMETER, VOTLAGE METER, OIL GAUGE, AND TEMPATURE GAUGE. AT LEAST I KNOW HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE...I THINK!! *TR
SPEEDOMETER DOES NOT RETURN TO 0, STOPS AT 20 TO 35. AT OTHER TIMES IT DOES NOT LT STOPS ALL TOGETHER. SEEMS TO BE MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL YET NO RECALL. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE CONTACT REAR ENDED A SCHOOL BUS. THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY DESTROYED AND NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. TWO PASSENGERS WERE INJURED AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, SHE NEVER EXPERIENCED ANY AIR BAG FAILURE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAS PICTURES. THE VIN AND ENGINE SIZE WERE UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 44,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE SPEEDOMETER FAILED. THE CONTACT OWNED A PREVIOUS 2003 TRAILBLAZER THAT HAD THE SAME FAILURE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC UNIT WAS FAULTY AND THEY REPLACED THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD AT THE COST OF $1,500 ON THE 2003 TRAILBLAZER. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THESE UNITS CAN ONLY BE PURCHASED FROM A CHEVROLET DEALER. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 75,000.
OUR 2004 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER HAS HAD A FAILURE OF IT'S INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND THE FUEL GAUGE, SPEEDOMETER, VOLTMETER, OIL PRESSURE GAUGE AND TACHOMETER HAVE FAILED AND NOW THAT WE CAN NOT KNOW HOW FAST WE ARE GOING WE HAVE HAD 3 SPEEDING TICKETS AND THE OFFICERS HAVE SAID THAT'S NOT AN EXCUSE BUT WE THINK IT'S A GOOD EXCUSE. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE AND MANY PEOPLE (AT LEAST A HUNDRED ON EACH SITE) HAVE HAD THIS COMPLAINT ABOUT THE TRAILBLAZER AND CHEVY JUST DOESN'T SEEM TO CARE ABOUT THE PROBLEM. NOTHING HAPPENED LEADING UP TO THIS EVENT IT JUST STARTED FAILING ONE AFTER THE OTHER. *TR
2004 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER WITH 41000 MILES, SPEEDOMETER AND TACH HAS STOPPED WORKING. *TR

THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER; HOWEVER, THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE LIGHT HAS BEEN ILLUMINATING EVER SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED, BUT THE FAILURE CANNOT BE LOCATED OR REPAIRED. CORRODED (LEAKING) METAL ELBOW FROM THE FUEL PUMP MODULE TO THE GAS LINES. FAILURE OF THE METAL ELBOW CAUSED GAS TO BE PUMPED ONTO THE TOP OF FUEL TANK AND SURROUNDING AREAS WHILE DRIVING WITH JUST A HINT OF A GAS SMELL INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE DEFECTIVE FUEL MODULE WAS REPLACED AT AN INDEPENDENT AUTO REPAIR SHOP. THE TECHNICIAN SHOWED ME THE OLD PART AND WHERE IT WAS LEAKING. CORROSION WAS VERY HEAVY ON THE ELBOWS. *TR

I OPENED THE REAR ACCESS TO MY TRAILBLAZER AND WAS ABOUT TO SHUT IT I REACHED MY HAND UP AND STARTED TO PULL THE HATCH DOWN. I HAD MOVED IT ABOUT AN INCH WHEN THE BACK WINDOW "EXPLODED" SENDING A SHOWER OF GLASS DOWN OVER ME AND MY FIVE YEAR OLD SON. IT SHOT GLASS FRAGMENTS 10 FEET. I HAD GLASS IN MY HAND AND MY HAIR. SON WAS BEHIND ME AND LUCKILY HE DID NOT RECEIVE ANY INJURIES. PEOPLE HEARD IT NOISE INSIDE THE BUILDING. THE VEHICLE WAS CLEAR OF ICE AND SNOW AND IT WAS 20 DEGREES OUT, ( NOT TERRIBLY COLD COMPARABLY). I HAD NEVER HAD TROUBLE WITH THE GLASS OR THE REAR ACCESS BEFORE.
