THE FUEL SENSOR OF OUR 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER HAS STOPPED WORKING. FIXING THIS WILL REQUIRE REMOVING THE FUEL TANK AND REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP. *TR
SPEEDOMETER FAILURE WHILE DRIVING 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LT ON THE HIGHWAY. NEEDLE DOESN'T MOVE AT ALL. CANNOT DETERMINE SPEED OF VEHICLE. BROUGHT TO GM DEALERSHIP. DIAGNOSED AS INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FAILURE. SIMILAR CLUSTER FAILURES HAVE OCCURRED ON OTHER GM MODEL SUV'S AND TRUCKS (TAHOE, SUBURBAN, SIERRA) AND HAVE BEEN HANDLED AS "RECALLS". GM HAS NOT ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THE SAME FAILURES WHICH HAVE OCCURRED IN CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZERS ARE A SAFETY DEFECT WORTHY OF A SIMILAR RECALL. *TR
FUEL LEVEL SENSOR ON 2005 TRAILBLAZER EXT., QUIT WORKING AFTER FILLING TANK. *TR
SPEEDOMETER ON MY 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER HAS MALFUNCTIONED AND COMPLETELY SPUN AROUND AND STUCK AT 120MPH. THIS JUST SPONTANEOUSLY FAILED AND MY GAS GAUGE IS ACTING WEIRD TOO. I HAVE SEEN THAT THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM IN THIS PARTICULAR MODEL AND GM NEEDS TO ISSUE RECALL AND FIX THIS!!! *TR
MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER IS COMPLETELY GOING CRAZY IT SEEMS EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL IS GOING WRONG WITH IT. I AM AFRAID TO LET MY WIFE OR MY KIDS DRIVE IN IT BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO GO WRONG WHILE DRIVING. MY WHOLE GAS SYSTEM IS GONE FROM FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR TO THE GAUGE. MY ENTIRE DASHBOARD IS NOT WORKING. LIGHTS ARE GOING OUT. WHAT IS CRAZY ABOUT THIS IS THAT I AM ONE OF THOUSANDS THAT THIS IS HAPPENING TO. CHEVY NEEDS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE DOES GET KILLED. WAITING FOR FATALITIES BEFORE MAKING CHEVY FIXES THERE AWFULLY MADE VEHICLES IS UNACCEPTABLE. I UNDERSTAND THE SITUATION OUR ECONOMY IS IN BUT THESE THOUSANDS OF TRAILBLAZER OWNERS THAT ARE HAVING THESE PROBLEMS SHOULDN'T BE PAYING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO BE GETTING THERE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL PROBLEM FIXED. I DO NOT KNOW ONE OWNER OF A 2006 TRAILBLAZER THAT DOES NOT HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM. IT IS UNETHICAL AND CHEVY INSTEAD OF STEPPING UP AND FIXING THERE PROBLEM ARE MAKING THERE LOYAL CUSTOMERS SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FIXING THERE MISTAKE. IT IS TRULY SAD THAT I DO NOT TRUST TAKING MY VEHICLE WITH MY FAMILY IN IT BECAUSE OF BEING AFRAID MY VEHICLE WILL FAIL TO DRIVE OR MALFUNCTION. 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER ACTUALLY MY PROBLEM STARTED ABOUT 2YRS AGO WHEN MY GAS GAUGE WENT OUT. THEN YEAR LATER I WAS SITTING IN TRAFFIC AND ONCE I GOT BACK UP TO SPEED MY SPEEDOMETER WENT OUT AND QUIT WORKIN. IT WOULD JUMP AROUND AND THEN SOMETIMES APPEAR TO BE READING CORRECTLY THEN JUMP TO ZERO OR WAY OVER PAST 90 WHICH OF COURSE I WAS NOT GOING THAT FAST. NOW MY OIL PRESSURE GAUGE AND TEMPERATURE GAUGE ARE GOING OUT AS WELL. AFTER CHECKING FOR RECALLS I SEE NOW THERE HAVE BEEN ALOT OF COMPLAINTS WITH THIS ISSUE IN THE SAME YEAR VEHICLE BUT NO RECALLS. IF THIS MANY VEHICLES ARE HAVING SIMILAR ISSUES WHY ISN'T CHEVY MAKING IT RIGHT? I KNOW MECHANICAL THINGS HAPPEN AFTER OWNING A VEHICLE BUT NOT THE SAME THING TO THIS MANY VEHICLES. *TR
2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER-GAS GAUGE STOPPED WORKING ACCURATELY. STAYS AROUND 1/4 TANK WHILE DRIVING. LOW LEVEL INDICATOR COMES ON WHEN CAR IS FIRST STARTED AND THEN MOVES BACK UP TO 1/4 TANK EVEN THOUGH THE TANK MAY BE FULL. TWO WEEKS AFTER NOTICING THE GAS GAUGE I ALSO NOTICED MY SPEEDOMETER WAS NOT READING ACCURATELY. NOTICED THIS WHEN I WAS SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT. WHILE CAR WAS STOPPED SPEEDOMETER SAID I WAS GOING 20 MPH. AFTER READING ALL THE COMPLAINTS REGARDING THESE SAME ISSUES, I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THIS IS MY FIRST CHEVY AND IM SURE IT WILL BE MY LAST. IF ITS RELEVANT MILEAGE IS APPROXIMATELY 69,000. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING, THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD INDICATE INCORRECT SPEEDS. THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS COMMON. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 118,000.
I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 2005 TB(FUEL LEVEL SENSOR REPLACED) AND THE DEALERSHIP ADVISED ME IT WOULD COST 900.00 TO FIX. I CALLED THE GM WARRANTY LINE IN DETROIT AND WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND PAY ANOTHER DIAGNOSTIC FEE AND HAVE THEM SEND THE PAPERWORK TO THEM. THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT PROMISE ANYTHING BUT AT LEAST THERE WOULD BE A RECORD OF ME TRYING TO GET THE PROBLEM FIXED. I SAY RECALL THE VEHICLES AND FIX THE PROBLEM FOR EVERYONE SINCE THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM. *TR
THE SPEEDOMETER DOES NOT RESET ITSELF WHEN THE VEHICLE SLOWS OR STOPS. INSTEAD, IT RESUMES FROM A HIGHER SPEED. FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU ARE TRAVELING AT 45MPH AND STOP AT A STOPLIGHT THE SPEEDOMETER MAY DROP TO 40MPH UPON STOPPING. THEN WHEN YOU RESUME TRAVELING IT STARTS FROM 40 INSTEAD OF 0 SO THE SPEEDOMETER SHOWS YOU ARE TRAVELING 60 WHEN YOU ARE GOING 20, 70 WHEN YOU ARE GOING 30 ETC. WHEN YOU STOP AGAIN IT WILL COME TO REST AT AN EVEN HIGHER SPEED, UNTIL EVENTUALLY THE NEEDLE SHOWS OVER 120 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE IS SITTING STILL! I HAVE DONE SOME INVESTIGATION ON LINE AND THIS APPEARS TO BE A FAIRLY COMMON COMPLAINT FROM FELLOW OWNERS. GENERAL MOTORS APPARENTLY DOPES NOT CONSIDER THIS A SAFETY ISSUE AND AS SUCH WILL NOT PAY FOR THE REPAIR WHICH IS $500 OR MORE. I'M NOT SURE HOW NOT KNOWING YOU RATE OF TRAVEL IS NOT A SAFETY CONCERN FOR THEM, BUT IT CERTAINLY IS TO ME. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED THE CONTACT ADDED FUEL AND THE FUEL GAUGE BEGAN FLUCTUATING BETWEEN EMPTY AND FULL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THERE WAS AN INVESTIGATION UNDER NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: DP10001 (FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:FUEL GAUGE SYSTEM) THAT MAY BE RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.
EVERYTIME I FILL UP MY GAUGE WON'T REGISTER. IT'S FRUSTRATING. I TRANSFERRED OUT OF STATE AND TO HAVE TO REFUEL EVERY 200 MILES ISN'T RIGHT. I AM PAYING MY HARD EARNED MONEY FOR THIS VEHICLE. I COULD HAVE GOTTEN AN OLDER VEHICLE WITHOUT THIS PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THE FLOAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I JUST PUT IN A NEW TRANSMISSION AT 76,000 MILES. I HAVE 86,000 ON IT NOW. *TR
ON WAY HOME FROM GM SERVICE GARAGE WHERE I FOUND OUT I NEED A NEW DASHBOARD CLUSTER, THE RPMS GAGE STARTED GOING HAYWIRE. WELL IT STALLED 3 TIMES ON MY WAY HOME. I WAS ON A SMALL INCLINE THE FIRST TIME AND I APPLIED BRAKES AND IT WOULDN'T STOP NEEDED TO USE EMERGENCY BRAKE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE LUCKY NOBODY WAS BEHIND ME. *TR
THE GAS GAUGE IS CONSTANTLY SHOWING THE TANK IS EMPTY - EVEN AFTER IT HAS BEEN FILLED UP.

THE CONTACT STATED THE SPEEDOMETER SHOWED HE WAS DRIVING 100 MPH WHEN HE WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45-55 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SEEN BY THE DEALER OR A LOCAL MECHANIC. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 106,000.
FILLED THE GAS TANK UP, FUEL LIGHT STAYED ON. CHEVY TRAILBLAZER 2005. *TR
THE GAS GAUGE STOPPED WORKING FIRST FOLLOWED BUY THE SPEEDOMETER AND THEN ENGINE LIGHT GOES OFF AND ON. I COMPLAINED TO GM WAS TOLD THIS IS NATURAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE VEHICLE. I NOW HAVE 110,000 MILES ON IT BUT STARTED SOON AFTER EXTENDED WARRANTY RAN OUT AT 65,000 MILES. I WILL HAVE TO CONTINUE DRIVING WITH THESE DEFECTS DON'T HAVE $550-$600 FOR EACH ITEM. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT IT. *TR
MY SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING AROUND SIX MONTHS AGO AND NOW THE OIL LEVEL GAUGE HAS STOPPED WORKING. FROM WHAT I'VE BEEN READING IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE FUEL GAUGE GOES OUT. THIS IS ABSURD THAT THIS HASN'T BEEN RECALLED SINCE THERE ARE COUNTLESS COMPLAINTS CONCERNING THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. *TR

MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING. THIS STARTED AS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM AND HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN WORSE. THERE SEEMS TO BE NO CORRELATION BETWEEN OUTSIDE TEMPS AND WHEN IT WORKS. WHEN IT DOES WORK IT DISPLAYS INACCURATE SPEEDS. THIS SEEMS TO BE A CONSISTENT PROBLEM IN 2005 TRAILBLAZERS BASED A AN INTERNET SEARCH FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
THE GAS/FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT SHOW CORRECT AMOUNT OF FUEL IN THE TANK. IT SHOW VERY LITTLE GAS ( AND MILEAGE AVAILABLE) WHEN THE GAS TANK IS FULL. OR IT SHOW NO GAS AT ALL - AND THE "LOW FUEL " LIGHT COMES ON EVEN IF THE TANK WAS JUST FILLED UP. *TR
2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER FUEL LEVEL SENSOR MALFUNCTION. THE FUEL GAUGE DOESN'T INDICATE THE RIGHT FUEL LEVEL, AND REPORTS FUEL LEVEL LOW EVEN JUST 10 MINUTES AFTER I HAVE REFILL MY TANK. *TR
AT APPROXIMATELY 60,000 MILES MY FUEL GAGE STARTED MALFUNCTIONING, IT WOULD REMAIN ON "E" IMMEDIATELY AFTER FILLING UP. AT APPROXIMATELY 70,000 MILES MY SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC CHECK AND WAS TOLD THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $600. I CONTACTED GM AND INQUIRED ABOUT A RECALL AND WAS TOLD THERE HAD NOT BEEN ONE AND THERE WAS NONE PLANNED IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

SPEEDOMETER FAILURE IN 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. SPEEDOMETER WORKS ERRATICALLY. VEHICLE HAS ALMOST 90,000 MILES. PROBLEM BEGAN AROUND SEPTEMBER 28, 2010, AND HAS BECOME MORE FREQUENT, OCCURRING DAILY NOW. SPEEDOMETER WILL GRADUALLY SHOW A DECREES IN SPEED WHEN VEHICLE IS NOT DECELERATING, EVENTUALLY DISPLAYING ZERO OR BELOW ZERO MPH. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN AND SHOULD BE RESOLVED BY CHEVROLET. *TR

THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH WHEN THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE MOMENTARILY DROPPED TO EMPTY, BEFORE GOING BACK UP TO THE CORRECT FUEL LEVEL READING. WHILE THE FUEL GAUGE WAS DISPLAYING AN EMPTY READING THE FUEL SENSOR LIGHT BEGAN ILLUMINATING ON THE DASHBOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE EXAMINED FOR THE CAUSE OF FAILURE, BUT AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND HE WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS A KNOWN FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE .THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
OUR 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER SPEEDOMETER JUST QUIT WORKING. WE CAN BE SITTING AT A COMPLETE STOP AND THE SPEEDOMETER WILL READ 50MPH. IT WILL RANDOMLY CHANGE AND LATER WILL EVEN DROP BELOW THE ZERO MARK. WE HAVE NO IDEA HOW FAST WE ARE TRAVELING WHEN THIS OCCURS. YESTERDAY, WHILE DRIVING FROM OH TO IN, I HAD TO GUESS HOW FAST I WAS GOING ON THE FREEWAY. THE SPEEDOMETER STARTED OUR READING 45MPH, SO I ESTIMATED THAT I HAD TO TRAVEL AT 110 MPH TO GO 65MPH. THE PROBLEM BECAME WORSE WHEN I NOTICED THAT MY SPEEDOMETER WAS JUMPING FROM ONE SPEED TO THE NEXT, NOT GRADUALLY CLIMBING LIKE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN. THIS PROBLEM IS A RANDOM OCCURRENCE. I NEVER KNOW WHEN TO EXPECT IT. OBVIOUSLY, THERE ARE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES THAT CAN ENSUE. SPEEDING TICKETS, ENDANGERING OTHERS' AS WELL AS OUR OWN LIVES BY DRIVING TOO FAST OR TOO SLOW, OR CAUSING ACCIDENTS IN GENERAL. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM SINCE THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND I AM UNDEREMPLOYED AND WE CANNOT AFFORD TO REPLACE THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AT THIS TIME. *LN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THE FUEL SENSOR FAILED. THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD DISPLAY THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS EMPTY WHEN THERE WAS FUEL IN THE VEHICLE. WHEN HE TRIED TO ADD FUEL IT WOULD SPILL BACK OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE CHEVROLET MANUFACTURER STATING THEY WOULD REPLACE THE FUEL SENSOR FOR $600 AND THEY WOULD PAY FIFTY PERCENT OF THE COST. THE CONSUMERS CAN ONLY TAKE THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED CHEVROLET DEALER TO BE REPAIRED. THERE WAS NO NHTSA RECALL LETTER FROM THE CHEVROLET MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE OR DETAILS REGARDING WHY THEY HAD TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED CHEVROLET DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 118,000.
OVER THE PAST YEAR I HAVE A VARIETY ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH MY BLAZER. THE GAS GAUGE HAS STOPPED WORKING, INDICATING THAT IT IS LOW ON FUEL OR EMPTY AND MY SPEEDOMETER IS NO LONGER FUNCTIONING. I HAVE HAD TO PUSH ALL THE WAY ON THE GAS PEDAL AT TIMES TO GET THE CAR TO GO. VERY DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY WHEN MERGING ONTO HIGHWAYS/FREEWAYS. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHEVY AGAIN! *TR
SPEEDOMETER FREEZES AND WON'T MOVE AT ALL OR IT GOES UP TO 120 MPH. THIS IS REALLY DANGEROUS WHEN DRIVING ESPECIALLY ON THE HIGHWAY! *TR
MY GAS GAUGE ALWAYS READS EMPTY EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS FULL. ENGINE LIGHT ALWAYS GOES ON AND OFF BETWEEN A MATTER OF DAYS. RECENTLY MY HEAT WENT OUT IN MY CAR WE CHANGED THE RESISTOR AND FOUND OUT ONE OF THE PRONGS WERE BURNT OUT. A WEEK LATER THE HEAT WENT OUT AGAIN. LOOKED AT THE RESISTOR AND THE SAME PRONG WAS BURNT OUT!! I'M GETTING REALLY FED UP WITH THIS VEHICLE! *KB
I BOUGHT MY 2005 TRAILBLAZER IN AUGUST 2008. IN OCTOBER 2008, THE REAR WINDOW HINGE ADHESIVE WAS SEPARATING CAUSING THE HATCH TO NOT CLOSE PROPERLY. THIS WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALERSHIP. NOW IN SEPTEMBER 2010 THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING. THE REAR WINDOW ADHESIVE HAS COMPLETELY DISCONNECTED FROM THE HINGE AND THE WINDOW DOES NOT CLOSE PROPERLY AND HAS A POSSIBILITY OF COMPLETELY FALLING OFF. WHEN THE ENTIRE REAR DOOR IS OPENED NOW THE HINGE 'POPS' UP AND HITS THE GLASS. THE DEALERSHIP IS TRYING TO FIND AN APPROPRIATE ADHESIVE TO MEND THIS PROBLEM AND THEY SAY CHEVY WILL NOT PAY FOR ANOTHER GLASS REPLACEMENT. THE FIRST REPLACEMENT CAME FROM THE FACTORY WITH THE HINGE CONNECTED TO THE GLASS. THIS SEEMS LIKE A FACTORY DEFECT. I KNOW THERE ARE OTHER CHEVY VEHICLES OF DIFFERENT YEARS THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM AND WORSE WHEN THE DOORS DID FALL OFF OR THE GLASS SCATTERED DUE TO THE POOR ADHESIVE ON THE HINGE. THIS WILL COST OVER $800 TO REPLACE IF THIS CANNOT BE RESOLVED AND THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THE ADHESIVE ON THE NEW GLASS WILL HOLD AND I WILL HAVE NO RECOURSE. *TR
THE SPEEDOMETER GAUGE ON MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER STARTED ACTING UP A MONTH AGO. THE FIRST PROBLEM I NOTICED WAS THAT THE NEEDLE OF THE SPEEDOMETER HAD FALLEN BEYOND THE 0 MPH MARK AND NEVER CHANGED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE NEXT TIME I DROVE IT STARTED WORKING CORRECTLY AGAIN. THE FOLLOWING WEEK, AS MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING, IT READ THAT HIS SPEED WAS 60 MPH WHEN HE WAS ONLY GOING 30 MPH. THE VERY NEXT DAY I DROVE IT AND THE SPEEDOMETER WORKED FINE. THEN AGAIN, A WEEK LATER IT MALFUNCTIONED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY! IT COMPLETELY FREAKED ME OUT! I TRIED TO STAY WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC BUT HAD NO IDEA HOW FAST I WAS REALLY GOING. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED MY CHEVY DEALERSHIP'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND ASKED ABOUT THE PROBLEM. SHE INFORMED ME THAT I WAS NO LONGER COVERED BY A WARRANTY (MY CAR ONLY HAS 58,000 MILES ON IT) AND THAT GM HAS ISSUED RECALLS ON THE GAUGE CLUSTER FOR THE 2003 AND 2004 TRAILBLAZERS BUT NOT THE 2005. SHE THEN TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD COST $450 TO $500 TO FIX THE PROBLEM BUT THAT GM WOULD 'MOST LIKELY' REIMBURSE ME IF/WHEN THEY ISSUE A RECALL. THE SPEEDOMETER IS CURRENTLY MISREADING ABOUT ONCE A WEEK. SO I NEVER KNOW WHEN I GET IN MY CAR IF IT IS GOING TO WORK CORRECTLY OR NOT. I DID SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AND FOUND THAT THIS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM FOR OWNERS OF THE 2005 TRAILBLAZER. I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE SO I CONTACTED GM DIRECTLY AND SPOKE TO A SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE ON THE PHONE THIS MORNING. SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE WAS SORRY ABOUT THE PROBLEM BUT GM HAS NO RECALL FOR THIS SO I SHOULD GO GET IT FIXED ON MY OWN DIME TO AVOID ANY FURTHER PROBLEMS. MY MECHANIC ADVISE TAKE TO DEALER FOR FAULTY SYSTEM, SINCE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY (3 MO. WARRANTY). THEY REPLACED THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER CABLE, STILL NOT OPERATING PROPERLY, DISCOVERED AFTER READING OWNERS MANUAL THAT GAS GAUGE SHOULD ALWAYS REGISTER AT GAS LEVEL, NOT RETURN TO EMPTY WHEN TURNING OFF IGNITION. NOW THE GAS GAUGE IS NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY AS REPORTED IN PREVIOUS COMPLAINT. AT PURCHASE NOTICED AC NOT COOLING, JOYCE BUICK ADDED COOLANT AND SUPPOSEDLY PERFORMED DYE TEST PRIOR TO TAKING POSSESSION, REPORTED NO LEAK IN SEPT. 2010. BY APRIL/MAY 2011 AC NOT WORKING AGAIN. FOUND LEAK AND REPLACED HOSE THAT RUNS TO BACK OF VEHICLE, (PRE-EXISTING CONDITION.) I FEEL THAT THIS VEHICLE WAS NOT PROPERLY SERVICED PRIOR TO RE-SALE. SOME CONDITIONS COVERED UNDER 3 MO. WARRANTY OR PRE-EXISTING CONDITION AND NOW MORE ISSUES CONTINUE TO ARISE AFTER WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED, IE GAS GAUGE NOT PROPERLY REGISTERING FUEL LEVEL AND THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GAUGES STILL FLUCTUATING. GAS GUAGE STOP WORKING. I RECENTLY RECEIVED A LETTER FROM GMC AKNOWLEDGING A SENSOR PROBLEM WITH THEIR 2005 GMC CARS BUT ONLY WILLING TO REIMBURSE 50% OF WHAT APPARENTLY IS THEIR FAULT. THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT NEED TO BE FIX 100% BY GMC. STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCTS! *KB
OUR 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER'S LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED, THE WIRES WERE REPLACED AND WORKED LONG ENOUGH FOR ME TO GO OUT AT NIGHT. THE FIRST NIGHT I DID GO OUT, THEY STOPPED WORKING. I WAS STUCK OUT OF TOWN WITH MY LITTLE GIRL. THANK GOODNESS I WASN'T DRIVING OR IN A PLACE WHERE I DIDN'T HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE(WHICH I DON'T HAVE CLOSE TO MY HOME). MYSELF AND MY DAUGHTER WAS VISITING MY PARENTS IN VIRGINIA AND I TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE RIGHT TO GO AROUND A CURVE AND THE STEERING WHEEL DIDN'T TURN. I LOOKED AY MY DAUGHTER AND SAID "OH _ _ _ _" AND SHE ASK ME WHAT 'S WRONG? I SAID THE STEERING DIDN'T TURN AND IT WASN'T BUT SECONDS LATER, WE SLAMMED INTO THE SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND WE ROLLED TWO OR THREE TIMES AND ENDED UP ON THE ROOF. I IMMEDIATELY WENT UNCONSCIOUS BECAUSE OF THE IMPACT. I HAD A BIG GASH ON MY HEAD AND WAS BLEEDING PROFUSELY AND I WAS HAVING TROUBLE BREATHING BECAUSE BOTH OF MY LUNGS WERE PUNCTURED. ALL THE WINDOWS BURST OUT SO MY DAUGHTER WAS ABLE TO CRAWL OUT THE PASSENGER WINDOW TO ASK SOMEONE FOR HELP BUT MY SEAT BELT WOULD NOT UNBUCKLE SO THERE WAS AN ISSUE GETTING ME OUT. I WAS VERY LUCKY THAT SOMEONE THAT STOPPED HAD A POCKET KNIFE AND CUT THE SEATBELT TO GET ME OUT. I HAD A BAD CONCUSSION AND I KEPT GOING IN AND OUT . I HAD THREE BROKEN RIBS, THREE PELVIC FRACTURES, A BAD CONTUSION ON MY ELBOW AND I STILL HAVE A SWOLLEN KNOT ABOUT TWO AND A HALF INCHES ON MY LEFT LEG. I ALSO HAVE ISSUES WITH MY BACK AND I AM IN CONSTANT PAIN AND ON IMPACT, MY SEAT BELT JERKED AND CAUGHT MY BREAST AND I NOW HAVE FIVE CYST WITH THE LARGEST ONE BEING ONE INCH AND THEY ARE VERY PAINFUL. I HAVE TO WATCH IT VERY CLOSELY BECAUSE OF A CANCER RISK CALLED INFLAMMATION CANCER. I WAS HOSPITALIZED FOR THREE DAYS AND I HAVE TO CONTINUE RECEIVING MEDICAL CARE BECAUSE OF THESE INJURIES. MY DAUGHTER IS YOUNG AND NOW SHE HAS BACK PROBLEMS AND PTSD AND SHE ALSO CONTINUES TO RECEIVE MEDICAL CARE . THIS HAS REALLY IMPACTED AND CHANGED MY LIFE AND MY DAUGHTERS LIFE AND I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF YOU WOULD TAKE THE TIME TO INVESTIGATE THESE ISSUES. A FEW MONTHS AFTER THIS THE FUEL GAUGE STOPPED WORKING AND HAD THE REPAIR CENTER INSPECT THE VEHICLE AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT IN BOTH INSTANCES THE FUEL SENDING UNIT HAD GONE BAD. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE WHOLE UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF APPOXIMATELY $600. I OPTED TO REPLACE THE UNIT MY SELF AFTER PURCHASING THE UNIT FROM A CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP FOR HALF THE PRICE. NOW MY FUEL GAUGE HAS GONE BAD FOR A THIRD TIME AND NOW HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE UNIT. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THAT THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
