2005 EXT TRAILBLAZER REAR PLASTIC MOLDING CONTAINING THE 3RD BRAKELIGHT SEPARATED FROM THE WINDOW AT LEAST 3X SINCE I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE. ONCE EVEN FALLING COMPLETELY OFF SEVERING THE WIRES AND LANDING IN THE ROADWAY. I NOTICED THE FIRST SEPARATION LESS THAN 6 MONTHS AFTER GETTING VEHICLE BRAND NEW. IT HAS SEPARATED AGAIN AND DEALER SAYS THAT IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE IT IS CONSIDERED COSMETIC EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER LEASE FOR ANOTHER YEAR. HE ALSO INFORMED ME THAT IT HAPPENS TO EVERYONE HE HAS SEEN AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO STOP IT FROM HAPPENING THAT IT IS A FLAW IN THE ENGINEERING, BUT THEY WOULDN'T HOLD IT AGAINST ME WHEN I TURN MY LEASE IN. *TR
2005 TRAILBLAZER, JUST OUT OF WARRANTY, GAS GAUGE QUITS WORKING, APPARENTLY A FUEL LEVEL SENSOR, NO WARNINGS, JUST RUNS OUT OF GAS. VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE. HAVE TO ALWAYS FILL UP TANK AND USE THE TRIP MILEAGE TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE TO AVOID RUNNING OUT OF GAS, VERY ANNOYING AND DANGEROUS. *TR
THE LIGHTING, BOTH INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR, FLICKERS THIS CAUSES DISORIENTATION AND INHIBITS MY ABILITY TO DRIVE SAFELY. IT HAS ALSO CAUSED ME TO BE PULLED OVER BY POLICE BECAUSE HE THOUGHT THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG IN THE VEHICLE. I DO NOT EVEN LIKE DRIVING AT NIGHT ANYMORE BECAUSE I'M AFRAID THEY WILL GO OUT COMPLETELY. *TR
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE HEAD LAMPS FLICKER FROM BRIGHT TO DIM AUTOMATICALLY WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHTTIME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION. THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP PERSONNEL DETERMINED THE HEAD LAMPS WERE FLICKERING. HOWEVER, UNTIL THE MANUFACTURER HAD A SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM, THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT PERFORM ANY REPAIRS. UPDATED 024/24/06
WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT UPON DECELERATING AND BRAKING HEADLIGHTS AND GAUGES FLICKERED ON AND OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES. HOWEVER, IT DOES NOT OCCUR EVERY NIGHT. I HAVE BEEN PULLED OVER 2 TIMES BY POLICE OFFICERS IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS.*AK
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED THE VEHICLE'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS FREQUENTLY SURGING. THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED WITH THE AIR PUMP LOCATED NEAR THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. ACCORDING TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP SERVICE MANAGER, WHEN THE AIR PUMP ENGAGES, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SURGES AND RESULTS IN THE HEADLIGHTS DIMMING AND FLICKERING. THE FLICKERING LAST FOR SEVERAL SECONDS THEN THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM RESUMES NORMALLY. HOWEVER, ONCE THE AIR PUMP ENGAGES AGAIN, THE SAME PROBLEM ERUPTS. THE CONTACT HAS BEEN IN CONSTANT COMMUNICATION WITH THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER, ALTHOUGH THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN DUPLICATED NUMEROUS TIMES, THE MANUFACTURER INSISTS THE VEHICLE IS OPERATING NORMALLY. *NM
MY HEAD LINER HAS FALLEN DOWN 4 TIMES AND NEVER BEEN REPLACE, JUST REGLUED OR RE VELCROED, AND THE NOISES THAT COME FROM MY WINDOWS ARE QUITE LOUD AND IF WINDY THE FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW GIVES A WHISTLE, THIS WAS NOT THE CASE WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BUT HAS GOTTEN PROGRESSIVELY WORSE AND I AM TOLD IT IS NORMAL WIND NOISE(INCLUDING THE WHISTLE THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO DUPLICATE) AND NOTHING CAN BE DONE, MY CARPET UNDER THE MAT IN THE DRIVERS SEAT RIPPED (AFTER 6 MOS OLD) AND THE NUMBERS ON MY RADIO 1-6,EXCEPT 4, AND THE BAND BUTTON HAS STARTED TO RUB OFF AFTER ABOUT 6 MOS OLD WHICH I WAS AGAIN TOLD WAS NORMAL AND IT'S BECAUSE I CHANGE STATIONS OFTEN. INCIDENT DATE TO FOLLOW WAS LAST DATE REPAIRED. *NM
I PARKED A 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER RENTED FROM BUDGET RENT A CAR IN THE HOTEL PARKING LOT WHERE MYSELF AND MY FIANCE WERE CHECKING IN TO. I REMOVED THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION AND WENT INSIDE. APPROXIMATELY 30 SEC LATER THE CAR ROLLED DOWN THE HILL IN A LARGE ARC (DUE TO THE STEERING WHEEL BEING LOCKED) AND COLLIDED WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CAR WAS IN NEUTRAL. AT THAT POINT I PUT THE KEY BACK INTO THE IGNITION AND FOUND THAT THE KEY COULD BE REMOVED WHILE IN NEUTRAL, WHICH CAUSED THE CAR TO ROLL. THE POLICE ARRIVED AND ALSO WERE ABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY WHILE IT WAS IN NEUTRAL. THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE POLICE REPORT. I WAS NOT CITED SINCE THE POLICE OFFICER FOUND THE CAR TO BE DEFECTIVE. BUDGET RENT A CAR REPLACED THE VEHICLE WITHOUT QUESTION, HOWEVER ARE NOW SEEKING ME TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGE, WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY BEING CONTESTED. *JB
2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER V6 LS SPEEDOMETER HAS FAILED. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. CHEVY HAS REFUSED TO ISSUE A RECALL ALTHOUGH THERE ARE HUNDREDS, IF NOT THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS. MY SPEEDOMETER OFTEN READS 0-40 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE A 3 AND 1 YEAR OLD WHO ARE WITH ME EVERY DAY IN THIS VEHICLE. THE FUEL GAUGE HAS ALSO FAILED. I HAVE TO RELY ON MY TRIPOMETER TO KNOW WHEN TO REFUEL. I CANNOT AFFORD TO RUN OUT OF GAS WITH 2 YOUNG CHILDREN, ESPECIALLY WITH THE NEW ENGLAND WINTER AROUND THE CORNER. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS ISSUE AND REQUIRE CHEVY TO TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION. WITH THE ECOMONY SO BAD, STRUGGLING TO MAKE ENDS MEET, AND THE $400+ MONTHLY PAYMENT FOR THIS VEHICLE THERE'S NO WAY I COULD AFFORD TO HAVE A DEALERSHIP FIX THESE ISSUES. THANK YOU!!! *TR
HEADLIGHTS ARE CONSTANTLY FLICKERING CAUSING OTHER DRIVERS TO REACT AS IF I'M AN EMERGENCY VEHICLE. *TR
I OWN A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. I HAVE HAD TROUBLE WITH THE REAR TAILLIGHTS. IN PARTICULAR THE BRAKE LIGHTS. IT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO HELP. THEY HAVE REPLACED THE SOCKET ASM. BUT NO REAL FIX AS IT COME AND GOES. I HAVE HEARD THE SAME FROM OTHER TRAILBLAZER OWNERS ALSO. 10155053 REFERS TO THIS PROBLEM ALSO. THANK YOU *TR
MULTIPLE GAUGES ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL STOPPED WORKING. THEY INCLUDE: FUEL GAUGE, SPEEDOMETER, VOLTMETER, AND TACHOMETER. THE FIRST TO GO OUT WAS THE FUEL GAUGE. THEN SPEEDOMETER, FOLLOWED BY THE VOLTMETER AND THE TACHOMETER ABOUT THE SAME TIME. CHEVY HAS FIXED THE FUEL GAUGE ISSUE BY RECALL. BUT HAS NOT ADDRESSED THE OTHER GAUGES ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. *TR
HEADLIGHTS DIM AND FLICKER OCCASIONALLY WHILE DRIVING MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER LS. THERE IS NO APPARENT REASON FOR THE DIMMING. WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS DIM OR FLICKER THE DASH PANEL DOES THE SAME. *NM
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT ANY WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. THE FAILURE OCCURRED SPORADICALLY. IN ADDITION, THE HEADLIGHTS UNINTENDEDLY FAILED TO ILLUMINATE WHEN ACTIVATED ON TWENTY SEPARATE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER EIGHTS TIMES FOR THE SAME FAILURES. THE ALTERNATOR WAS REPLACED THREE TIMES AND THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 300. SM.
I BOUGHT THIS SUV TO GO OFF ROAD, MOSTLY RIDING IN THE SAND ON THE BEACH. THE FIRST TIME ON THE SAND IT DID NOT WANT TO GO AND I THOUGHT MY HUSBAND OR I DID SOMETHING WRONG. HOWEVER THE SECOND TIME IT WENT A SHORT DISTANCE AND THEN SANK UP TO THE AXLES AND WE HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED OFF THE BEACH. IT WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, AND ACTED LIKE THIS WAS THE FIRST COMPLAINT ON THIS PROBLEM, HOWEVER MY ACCOUNTANT HAS THE SAME SUV SAME YEAR MODEL AND SAME PROBLEM, TOOK IT TO THE SAME DEALERSHIP AND WAS ALSO TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH HIS TRAILBLAZER. *JB
NIGHT DRIVING UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES THE VEHICLE A CHEVROLET TRAILBLZER LS 2005 HAS A PROBLEM THAT RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF THE HEADLIGHTS AND DASHBOARD LIGHTS. THE TRAILBLAZER DECIDES TO DO THIS TOTALLY ON ITS OWN AT RANDOM. THIS CAUSES A POTENTIALLY DEADLY SITUATION WHEN ON THE INTERSTATE AND YOUR HEADLIGHTS GO OUT AND DECIDE TO COME BACK ON AT RANDOM INTERVALS MAYBE APROXIMATELY 15 TO 20 SECONDS APART. SEVERAL ATTEMPS HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP TO GET THE PROBLEM REPAIRED. THEIR COMMENT IS THAT THEY EITHER CANNOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM OR THEIR IS A SERVICE BULLETIN THAT EXPLAINS THE ISSUE. I HAVE DONE THE PROCEDURES THAT THE DEALERSHIP DESCRIBED IN THE SERVICE BULLETINS WITH NO SUCCESS. CURRENTLY MY TRAILBLAZER IS BEING REPAIRED ONCE AGAIN AT TERRY LEE CHEVROLET AS OF 12-19-06. THE LAST TIME THAT THE VEHICLE WAS IN FOR REPAIR TERRY LEE CHEVROLET REPLACED WHAT THEY HAD THOUGH WAS A FAULTY BODY CONTROL MODULE. REPLACING THIS MODULE OBVIOUSLY DID NOT RECTIFY THE PROBLEM AND ON THURSDAY 12-14-06 THE PROBLEM ONCE AGAIN RETURNED. SINCE THE VEHICLE IS USED TO TRANSPORT MY CHILDEREN AND WIFE WHO HAVE BEEN DRIVING PRIMARILY AT NIGHT. I HAVE BECOME SKEPTICAL ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT THE VEHICLE IS SAFE TO ACTUALLY DRIVE AT NIGHT BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN THE LIGHTS WILL DECIDE TO TURN OFF BY THEMSELVES AND POTENTIALLY CAUSE THEM TO BE IN AN ACCIDENT. *NM
THE REAR VIEW MIRROR W/ONSTAR ON THE WINDSHIELD BLOCKS YOUR VIEW TO THE RIGHT, THIS HAS HAPPENED TWO TIMES TO ME IN THE PAST 60 DAY I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE. *NM
I HAVE HAD MY WATER PUMP REPLACED TWICE IN THAT LAST 1.5 YEARS. THE FIRST TIME WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT THE NEXT TIME ABOUT 10 MONTH THE DEALERSHIP CLAIM IT DIDN'T WORK AGAIN. JUST TODAY 12/12 I WENT TO DRIVE TO WORK AFTER LETTING MY CAR WARM UP FOR 5 MINUTES I DECIDED TO TURN THE HEAT ON AND NOTHING CAME OUT NOW I HAVE TO CALL AND SEE IF ANYONE CAN LOOK MY AUTO. WORSE BRAND NEW AUTO THAT I HAVE HAD. *TR
DT: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING ON A SLIGHTLY WET PAVED ROAD ANOTHER VEHICLE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF CONTACT'S VEHICLE WHO MANEUVERED THIS VEHICLE TO KEEP FROM HITTING THE OTHER VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE STALLED, CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND SLIDING OFF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN DRIVEN TO THE DEALERSHIP TO INVESTIGATE WHAT CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.*AK
HEADLIGHTS ABRUPTLY DIM AND VOLTAGE DROPS WHILE DRIVING. DOES NOT OCCUR EVERYTIME IT IS DRIVEN. OCCURRED TWICE TO ME, JUNE 05 AND DECEMBER 05. CREATES DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITION. DEALER UNABLE TO FIND PROBLEM OR DUPLICATE PROBLEM AFTER BOTH OCCURRENCES. *NM
THE HEADLIGHTS/DASH LIGHTS STARTED FLICKERING. THE BATTERY VOLTAGE METER WAS JUMPING BACK AND FORTH. THE HEADLIGHTS WOULD GO OUT AND THEN COME BACK ON. I WAS NOT ABLE TO DUPLICATE THIS PROBLEM. THERE WERE NO CODES STORED IN THE COMPUTER FROM THE INCIDENT. IT HAS HAPPENED SINCE 11/23/05 AT LEAST TWICE. *JB
HEADLIGHTS FLICKERING COMPLETELY OFF AND ON IN THE DARK AND DAYLIGHT HOURS AS WELL AS COMPLETELY QUITTING. HAD IT TO DEALERSHIP 2 TIMES FOR THIS MATTER AND THEY COULD NOT FIND THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. I FELT IT WAS A HAZARD DRIVING IT THIS WAY BEING. IT ALSO HAPPENED AT NIGHT. THIS STARTED IN NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2005. HAVEN'T HAD IT A YEAR YET AND ALREADY THE DRIVESHAFT HAS BEEN REPLACED . IS THIS A LEMON ?*AK

CHEVY TRAILBLAZER HAS A WHISTLING SOUND THAT IS NOT ABLE TO BE LOCATED TO BE FIXED, THE SEALS ON THE DOORS HAVE BEEN REPLACED AS WELL AS THE WEATHER STRIPPING. THE LIGHTS ON THE VEHICLES INTERIOR AS WELL AS HEAD LIGHT GO DIM WHEN THE GAS PEDAL IS NOT PRESSED. THE HEAD LIGHTS FLICKER CAUSING A DISTRACTION TO THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE AS WELL AS ON COMING CARS AS IT APPEARS THAT SOMEONE IS FLASHING THEIR LIGHTS TO ON COMING CARS. *NM
DT: THE CONTACT'S BOY FRIEND WAS TRAVELING AT 78 MPH WHEN HE LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND IT WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONTAL IMPACT. THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER SIX TIMES. UPON IMPACT, THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT AND PASSENGER SUSTAINED INJURIES. MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. *AK
WHEN I BROUGHT THIS CAR IT STARTED TO GIVE ME PROBLEMS. WHAT TYPE OF PROBLEMS YOU ASK PROBLEMS WITH THE MOTOR AND INJECTIONS. I CALLED MANY TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP I TALKED TO A GUY NAMED HENRY PALACIOS AND HE NEVER GAVE ME A SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM. I HAD FULL COVER ON MY VEHICLE BUT THEY TOLD ME THAT IT DIDN'T COVER THE PROBLEMS THAT MY CAR HAD. THE SAME DATE THAT I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE I WENT OUT OF TOWN AND THE CAR COMPLETELY STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. *NM
HEADLIGHTS AND INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS ARE GOING DIM TO BRIGHT WHILE DRIVING. DOES NOT HAPPEN WHEN SITTING STILL, SO DO NOT KNOW IF REAR LIGHTS ARE DOING THE SAME. *JB
2 GAUGES IN IPC HAVE MALFUNCTIONED: THE SPEEDOMETER AND THE FUEL GAUGE. THE SPEEDOMETER NEEDLE BEGINS TO "STICK" AT 60 MPH MARK AND DOES NOT RESET BACK TO ZERO AFTER TURNING THE IGNITION OFF. IN FACT, WHILE ON THE FREEWAY, THE SPEEDOMETER WILL OFTEN GO PAST 120 MPH MARK. THE FUEL GAUGE NEEDLE STICKS AT THE "EMPTY" MARK. COMMON SENSE DICTATES THAT DRIVING A VEHICLE WITHOUT ANY CLUE AS TO HOW FAST OR HOW MUCH FUEL YOU HAVE IS HAZARDOUS. MY RESEARCH HAS DETERMINED THAT GM HAS RECALLED THE IPC FOR OTHER 2003, 2004 & 2005 CADILLAC, CHEVROLET AND GMC MODELS BUT NOT THE 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. *TR
WINDSHIELD HAS CONSIDERABLE DISTORTION AND CAUSES VISIBILITY PROBLEMS WHILE DRIVING (ESPECIALLY IN TRAFFIC). GM CLAIMS THIS IS NORMAL AND WILL NOT REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD. THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY CONCERN. *NM
BRAND NEW 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER TRANSMISSION WONT DOWNSHIFT BACK INTO LOW GEAR UPON COMING TO A STOP. DEALER SAID THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED (AT 600 MILES) BY REPLACING A SENSOR. IT HAS JUST NOW STARTED HAPPENING AGAIN (AT 2,100 MILES). *NM
CHEVY TRAILBLAZER ('05 OR '06) REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE AT A SPEED FAST ENOUGH TO TOTAL THE TRAILBLAZER. THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE DRIVER SUSTAINED CHEST AND HEART INJURIES. *NM
HEADLIGHTS AND DASH LIGHTS FLICKER, AND HEATER FAN SLOWS DOWN OCCASIONALLY. SEEMS TO HAPPEN MORE ON DAMP DAYS. ONLY SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN THE GAS PEDAL IS RELEASED AND VEHICLE IS COASTING. *NM
DT: THE CONSUMER STATES THAT THE TAIL PIPE IS TO SHARP ON THE 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONSUMER'SSON HAD FELL AND SLID UNDER THE TRUCK AND CUT HIS LEG ON THE TAIL PIPE. HE HAD 18 STITCHES IN HIS LEG. THE CONSUMER HAS NOT CONTACTED GM ABOUT THE DESIGN OF THE TAIL PIPE. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN CONTACTED , AND THEY TOLD HIM TO LOOK IN THE BACK OF THE OWNER'S MANUAL AND CALL THEM.*AK
WHEN WE FIRST GOT THE TRUCK MY HUSBAND AND I WERE DRIVING AT ABOUT 55 MPH AND WENT TO BRAKE SUDDENLY AND THE TRUCK WOULD NOT STOP, IT MADE A GRINDING SOUND AND I HAD TO PUMP THE BRAKES A FEW TIMES BEFORE THE FINALLY STOPPED. AFTER THAT WE CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT IS BECAUSE THE TRUCK WAS NEW.. IT IS 2014 AND STILL HAVE THE TRUCK AND STILL DOES THE SAME THING. LAST WINTER I HAD A BAD INCIDENT WHERE THE CAR DID THE SAME THING AND ALMOST GOT INTO A VERY BAD ACCIDENT, THANK GOD I WAS ABLE WALK AWAY WITH NO INJURIES. WE HAVE REACHED OUT TO THE DEALER NUMEROUS OF TIMES TO SAY THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE BRAKE MECHANISM OF THE TRUCK AND THEY SAY THAT THERE ARE NO RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE. I DON'T KNOW WHY THE DEALER JUST WONT TAKE THE TRUCK FOR A TEST DRIVE AND SEE WHY WE ARE SO CONCERNED. THEY WANT TO CHARGE US ALMOST $300 TO RUN A DIAGNOSTICS ON THE TRUCK WHICH WE REFUSE TO PAY FOR. WE TOOK THE CAR TO A MIDAS AND THE MECHANIC SAID THAT THESE TRUCKS ARE KNOWN FOR HAVING BAD BRAKE SENSORS, WHICH MAKES ALL THE SENSE. I JUST DON'T GET IT.. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE, WHICH RESULTED IN A THREE CAR PILE UP. THE FRONT END OF HER VEHICLE WENT UNDERNEATH THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. SHE WAS UNABLE TO RECEIVE ASSISTANCE FROM ON STAR DUE TO THE AIR BAG FAILURE. THERE WERE NO PRIOR FAILURES WITH HER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT AND THREE CHILDREN IN SAFETY SEATS SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 76,000.

I BOUGHT A 05 TB-EXT LAST JUNE, I NO SOONER GOT 5 MILES DOWN THE HIGHWAY (8 MILE TOTAL ON OD) WHEN I STARTED TO FEEL SOMETHING FUNNY, I WAS PUSHING ON THE GAS, BUT IT WAS LOOSING SPEED TRAFFIC WAS BACKING UP BEHIND ME AS I PULLED OFF THE ROAD. I HAD IT TOWED TO BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I WAS ASSURED THAT IT WAS A TRANNY LINE THAT WAS NOT PROPERLY SECURED AT THE FACTORY. NOW 3 MONTHS LATER, (5300 TOTAL ON OD) MY KIDS AND I WERE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY YESTERDAY AT 65 MPH WHEN THE RPM'S SHOT UP TO 4500-5000, AND IT WAS LOOSING SPEED. THERE WAS NOT ANY WARNING SIGNS GOING OFF. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF A 5 LANE FREEWAY (I-580 WEST) I PULLED OVER ON THE SHOULDER AND CHECKED THE FLUID LEVEL, IT WAS FINE. I PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE I STARTED TO GET BACK ON TO THE FREEWAY, 1ST AND 2ND ENGAGED JUST FINE, BUT AS SOON AS I GOT UP TO AROUND 35 MPH THE RPM SHOT UP AGAIN AND IT WOULD NOT SHIFT TO THIRD. I HAD TO USE THE ON STAR FOR THE SECOND TIME IN 3 MONTHS TO HAVE IT TOWED. *JB
ON AUGUST 27TH I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN BLUE SMOKE CAME OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD WHICH SMELLED LIKE PLASTIC/COPPER BURNING THE CRUISE CONTROL ALONG WITH THE BACK WINDSHIELD WIPER STOPPED WORKING IT WAS TAKEN TO CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP BUT NOT THE ONE WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED I WAS TOLD THEY COULDN'T FIND THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM AFTER HAVING MY CAR A TOTAL OF 3 DAYS NEEDLESS TO SAY ON THE WAY BACK HOME MORE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS OCCURRED SINCE THE DEALERSHIP FAILED TO FIX IT NOT ONLY DID SMOKE COME OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH/RADIO WOULD FLASH FROM BRIGHT TO DIM THE BATTERY GAUGE WAS MOVING BACK AND FORTH THE RADIO STOPPED WORKING THE CAR IS BACK IN THE SHOP WHEN HOOKED TO THE COMPUTER AT THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED IT SHOWED SOME ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE CRUISE/WINDSHIELD WIPER. *NM
MY SEAT BELT COMES ACCROSS THE LOWER PART OF MY NECK WHEN DRIVING. TWO DEALERS AGREE THE SEAT BELT DOES NOT FIT ME PROPERLY, SO I CALLED GM THEY SAID THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. IF I AM IN A ACCIDENT I WILL SUSTAIN MORE INJURIES DUE TO THE SEAT BELT. I AM 5FT 8IN AVARAGE SIZE PERSON. I AM A PARAMEDIC AND FEEL UNCOMFORTBLE WEARING THE SEAT.

WHEN THIS HAPPENED NONE OF THE BRAKE LIGHTS CAME ON. THEREFORE, CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS ALMOST HIT BY AN 18 WHEELER. SHE CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AT THE LOW SPEED. WHILE DRIVING ON I-93 NORTH IN MA I HAD TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY STOP TO AVOID AN A REAR END COLLISION THERE WAS NO CONTACT WITH ANYTHING ABOUT A MILE OR TWO BEYOND THAT POINT THERE WERE PEOPLE BLOWING HORN AND YELLING I WAS ON FIRE I WENT FROM THE LEFT TRAVEL LANE TO THE BREAKDOWN LANE AND STOPPED UPON EXITING THE VEHICLE THE PASS SIDE HAD FLAMES SHOWING FROM UNDER THE CAR I WALKED AROUND THE FRONT OF THE CAR AND SAW FLAMES AND DRIPPING FIRE FROM THE INSIDE OF THE RIGHT WHEEL .THE CAR "MELTED " DOWN TO THE STEEL FRAME. *NM
WE RENTED A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER FROM ALAMO RENTAL IN CLEVELAND OHIO ON JULY 7, 2005. ON JULY 10 WE PARKED THE VEHICLE IN A VALET ZONE AND MY WIFE AND I STEPPED OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE TO REMOVE OUR DAUGHTER. I TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE BUT LEFT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. WHEN WE CLOSED OUR DOORS THE DOORS AUTOMATICALLY LOCKED BEFORE WE COULD OPEN THE DOOR TO REMOVE OUR CHILD. WE WERE FORCED TO CALL 911. WHEN THE OFFICER COULD NOT UNLOCK THE VEHICLE AND A FOLLOW UP CALL TO THE LOCKSMITH REVEALED THAT THEY WERE STILL 30 MINUTES AWAY WE WERE FORCED TO BREAK THE REAR WINDOW TO GAIN ENTRY AND REMOVE OUR CHILD. WHEN WE RETURNED THE VEHICLE THE RENTAL AGENT WAS AWARE OF SIMILAR LOCKOUTS. WE HAVE OWNED BOTH TOYOTA'S AND VOLKSWAGENS THAT WILL AUTOMATICALLY LOCK THE 3 PASSENGER DOORS BUT REQUIRE THE DRIVER TO MANUAL LOCK THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR OR TO USE THE KEY FOB WHILE STANDING OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. CONSEQUENTLY, WE ARE FURIOUS THAT GM WOULD INSTALL A SYSTEM THAT COULD INSTANTLY ENDANGER A CHILD ESPECIALLY ON A HOT SUMMER DAY.
