PURCHASED 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS OCT.28 06. SINCE THEN, TO DATE, VEH. HAS BEEN IN SHOP (DEALERSHIP 4X). 1. BRAKE REPAIR. ALL 4 CALIPERS WERE REPLACED. THIS VEHICLE HAD ONLY 22,000. MILES. IN SHOP VERY 1ST WEEK OF PURCHASE. 2. BEEN COMPLAINING OF FLICKERING LIGHTS. WAS HANDED A GMC PRINTOUT STATING THEY DID NOT KNOW CAUSE. SO THEREFORE THE DEALERSHIP, HOOD CHEVROLET, COVINGTON LA. COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. 3. COMPLAINED OF ENGINE ACCELERATION WHILE APPLYING BRAKE, COMING TO A STOP OR A SLOW SPEED IN A PARKING LOT. FEAR THAT I MAY CRASH INTO SOMEONE. RECEIVED PRINTOUT FROM GM STATING THIS WAS NORMAL. BUT I SEE THIS IS A HAZARD. 4. COMPLAINED OF SEAT BELT "RIDING" ON THE NECKLINE, RESTRICTING BLOOD FLOW IN LEFT ARTERY ON NECK. I SEE THIS A MAJOR PROBLEM. I COMMUTE 26 MILES ONE WAY TO WORK AT A HOSPITAL. I THOUGHT I WOULD BE SAFER DRIVING MY TRAILBLAZER, NOW I FEAR FOR MY LIFE. 5. COMPLAINED OF POPPING ON FRONT END. SERVICE HAD TO ORDER SWAY LINKS AND REPLACE. DID NOT SOLVE PROBLEM, STILL HAVE FRONTAL POPPING WHILE TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT, REVERSE AND FORWARD. IT IS PROGRESSIVELY GETTING WORSE. FOUND OUT GM CERTIFIED TECH. DID NOT PROPERLY ALIGN CALIBERS WHEN INSTALLED. I HAVE PAID TO MUCH FOR THIS $23,000. LEMON. ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN. SARAH DYKES, BOGALUSA LOUISIANA. *NM
2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER, HEADLIGHTS AND INTERIOR LIGHTS DIM AND FLASH FOR NO REASON WHILE DRIVING (LOOKS LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE). IF I STOP AND SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF, AND RESTART, IT STOPS. SEE SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE WHEN I SEARCH ON-LINE. DEALER CLAIMS THEY CAN FIND NO ERROR CODES. *NM
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER, FUEL GAUGE AND THE BATTERY VOLTAGE INDICATOR ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WERE ALL OPERATING ERRATICALLY. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT FALL UNDER THE AGE OR MILEAGE REQUIREMENTS TO BE REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WAS FAILING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,442 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 108,000. UPDATED 09/28/2011 *LN
I PURCHASED A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER IN 2005, IN 2006 THE GAS GAUGE WENT OUT, IT DID NOT READ THE AMOUNT OF GAS THE VEHICLE HAD IN IT. LATER THAT SAME YEAR THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD SPIN ALL THE WAY AROUND THE DIAL. AS OF 2009 IT COMPLETELY WENT OUT. THE GAS GAUGE WENT OUT WHEN THEE WAS ABOUT 80,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. THE SPEEDOMETER WENT OUT WHEN THERE WAS ABOUT 110,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. I WENT TO A WEBSITE AND THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS VEHICLE. BRAKES SQUEAL ON NORMAL BRAKING. BACK TIRES SPIN ON DRY ROAD AND SQUEAL LIKE SOMEONE IS "PEELING OUT". BRAKES SEEM TO RIDE LOW TO THE FLOOR AND BARELY STOP THE VEHICLE WHEN HAVING TO STOP QUICKLY. BESIDES THAT, THEY MAKE THE TRUCK KEEP ON ROLLING EVEN THOUGH THE BRAKES ARE BEING APPLIED . IT'S LIKE THE COMPUTER IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM DETECTS NOTHING WHEN YOU TRY TO STOP, I'VE HAD SOME VERY NEAR MISSES AS FAR AS ACCIDENTS ARE CONCERNED. ON SEPTEMBER 28TH 2006 I WAS DRIVING MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT DOWN THE ROAD BETWEEN 55 AND 60 MPH. IT HAD STARTED RAINING ABOUT 5 MINUTES EARLIER. I STARTED UP THE HILL AND WAS APPROACHING THE OTHER ROAD I NEEDED TO TURN ON AND GENTLY APPLIED THE BRAKES. AS SOON AS I APPLIED THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE WENT OUT OF CONTROL. I TRIED TO PUMP THE BRAKES AND GET THE VEHICLE BACK INTO CONTROL BUT HAD NO LUCK. I THEN CROSSED THE CENTER LINE AND CRASHED HEAD ON INTO THE GUARD RAIL ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD. AFTER I HIT THE GUARD RAIL I BOUNCED OFF OF THAT AND HIT AN ON COMING VEHICLE IN THE PASSENGER SIDE WITH THE FRONT END OF MY CAR. I THEN PROCEEDED TO CONTINUE BACK TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD AND JUMP A 4FT DITCH AND FINALLY CAME TO A STOP ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DITCH. THE FUNNY THING IS THAT THIS ALL HAPPENED WHILE I WAS TRAVELING UP HILL!!! I TRULY BELIEVE THE SO CALLED FOUR WHEEL ANTI-LOCK BRAKES FAILED. THE AIR BAGS NEVER DEPLOYED EITHER! AFTER THE CRASH THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE HAD A HUGE HOLE IN THE SIDE WALL AND I AM NOT TOO SURE THAT THIS WASN'T PART OF THE PROBLEM. THE TORN PART OF THE TIRE IS STICKING OUT AND SEEMS LIKE IT FAILED TOO. I JUST WISH I COULD GET SOMEONE TO INVESTIGATE THIS (GOODYEAR TIRES). *NM
THE GAS GAUGE IS NOT OPERATING. IT STOPPED WORKING WITHOUT ANY WARNING. *TR
ALL OF A SUDDEN THE TRANSMISSION STARTED TO SHIFT FUNNY AFTER A LONG ROAD TRIP. IT DID THIS ONCE ON THE HIGHWAY. WE GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY AND PULLED INTO OUR TOWN AND THE CAR WAS HAVING PROBLEMS SHIFTING. WE BARELY MADE IT TO OUR HOUSE AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS LEAKING. WE WENT TO DRIVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND IT OVER HEATED LESS THAN A MILE FROM THE HOUSE. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE RADIATOR DETERIORATED AND SENT ANTI-FREEZE INTO THE TRANSMISSION WHICH DESTROYED THE TRANSMISSION. *JB
I STARTED NOTICING THAT MY GAS NEEDLE WOULD FLOAT AFTER FILLING THE GAS TANK ON TWO OCCASIONS. THE FIRST TIME I STOPPED ONE DAY TO FILL THE GAS TANK THINKING I WAS ON EMPTY. AS I PULLED OFF THE NEEDLE WENT TO E AGAIN AFTER STOPPING ON FULL BEFORE I TURNED ON THE ENGINE. A GENTLEMAN AT THE GAS STATION KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH MY CAR AS HE WAS DRIVING A CHEVROLET PICKUP AND SAID IT WAS A COMMON THING WITH CHEVROLETS. HE ALSO TOLD ME THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE GAS GAUGE WIRE. I CALLED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO FIND OUT THAT NO RECALLS WERE MADE REGARDING THIS ISSUE. IF IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM IN CHEVROLETS THEN WHY WAS THIS NOT A RECALL OR A SAFETY ISSUE..I WOULD ASSUME IF SOMEONE WOULD DRIVE AND EXPERIENCE WHAT I WAS EXPERIENCING WITH THE FLOATING NEEDLE OR WORSE RUN OUT OF GAS UNAWARE THAT THE NEEDLE WAS NOT REGISTERING PROPERLY WHILE DRIVING . DISCUSSING THE SAME PROBLEM I WAS EXPERIENCING WITH A FRIEND AND SHE INDICATE TO ME THAT A COWORKER WAS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.. THE SECOND TIMEI HAVE RAN OUT OF GAS WAS WHILE TRAVELLING IN HIGH RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC DUE TO THE NEEDLE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. CHEVROLET SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THIS DANGEROUS ISSUE WITH ITS CUSTOMERS. A RECALL SHOULD BE MADE BEFORE SOMETHING TERRIBLE OCCURS. I KEEP TRACK OF MY MILEAGE AS I DID NOT BELIEVE THIS WAS AN ISSUE I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY TO FIX. THIS APPEARED TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM FOR THIS MANUFACTURER. *AK
HEADLIGHTS AND DASH LIGHTS DIM FOR NO APPARENT REASON. HEADLIGHTS FLICKER, USUALLY ONLY MOMENTARILY BUT ON OCCASION HAS LASTED FOR UP TO 10 MINUTES. I FEEL IT IS ILLEGAL AND UNSAFE TO DRIVE. GM SAYS IT IS "NORMAL" *JB
NO HORN ON VEHICLE. DEALER ATTEMPTED 5 TIMES TO REPAIR BUT HORN CONTINUES NOT TO WORK. *NM
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE LOADING LUGGAGE INTO THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, BOTH STRUTS ON THE TAILGATE FAILED SIMULTANEOUSLY, AND THE DOOR SLAMMED SHUT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A SERVICE DEALER, WHERE THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE REASON FOR THE FAILURE. THE REPLACEMENT PARTS WERE ORDERED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE.
2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER BRAKING SYSTEM FAILURE...DURING NORMAL DRIVING WITHOUT ANY INDICATION THE BRAKE PEDAL WILL GO TO THE FLOOR WHEN DEPRESSED AND THE BRAKES ARE NOT APPLIED...AFTER SEVERAL PUMPS (7-10)THE PEDAL COMES BACK AND THE BRAKING SYSTEM STARTS WORKING AGAIN. THIS IS THE SECOND BRAKING FAILURE EVENT OF THIS TYPE FOR THIS VEHICLE. AFTER THE FIRST EVENT THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER, CLAIMING THE MASTER CYLINDER LEAKED. *JB
I BOUGHT AN 05 TRAILBLAZER EXT I HAVE HAD IT 9 MONTHS , I WENT TO START IT AND IT WOULD NOT TURN OVER NOTHING, IT WAS ALSO STUCK IN THE PARK POSITION, DEALERSHIP SAID I HAD A BAD BATTERY, I HAD IT CHECKED THROUGH AUTO ZONE WAS FINE , HAD IT TOWED THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER GOT IT OUT OF PARK AND WAS ABLE TO START IT. THE DEALERSHIP PROCEEDED TO SAY IT WAS THE BATTERY SO THEY CHANGED IT. I PICKED IT UP BROUGHT IT HOME AND PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY LIKE BEFORE. THE NEXT MORNING IT WOULD NOT START AGAIN HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH IT STUCK IN PARK AGAIN, THEY NOW HAVE SAID THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS BAD , WHICH WOULD CAUSE IT NOT TO START AND BE STUCK IN PARK, SO I GUESS WE WILL SEE IF IT IS FIXED OR IF IT WILL GO BACK FOR THE THIRD TIME IN ONE WEEK. *JB

CRUISE CONTROL SHUT DOWN. IT WAS SET AT 70 MPH. VEHICLE WAS GOING UPHILL AND IT FELT LIKE THE ENGINE HAD DIED. THE SPEED DROP WAS SUDDEN AND DRASTIC, LUCKILY THERE WERE NO VEHICLES FOLLOWING WHEN IT OCCURRED. IT WOULD NOT RESUME NOR RESET BY TURNING CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH OFF AND ON. VEHICLE DID ACCELERATE USING FOOT PEDAL. STARTED VEHICLE UP NEXT DAY TO TAKE IT TO DEALER AND THE CRUISE CONTROL WORKED FINE. CONTACTED DEALER AND WAS TOLD HE NEVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM BEFORE AND MAYBE IT WAS JUST A FLUKE HAPPENING. *NM
WHILE DRIVING MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER THE HEADLIGHTS GO OUT MOMENTARILY AND I ALSO NOTICE A FLICKERING ON THE DASH LIGHTS. THIS NORMALLY HAPPENS WITHIN THE FIRST 5 MINUTES OF DRIVING AND CONTINUES FOR THE 15 MINUTE COMMUTE. SO FAR I ONLY NOTICE THIS HAPPENING AT NIGHT. I NORMALLY DRIVE ABOUT 10 MILES EACH WAY TO WORK. I WORK 12 HOUR SHIFTS BOTH DAYS AND NIGHTS. AS A RESULT, I TEND TO HAVE TO DRIVE TO WORK AND HOME IN THE DARK. I AM WORRIED THAT THE SYSTEM WILL TOTALLY FAIL. FURTHERMORE, WHEN I AM DRIVING BEHIND PEOPLE AND THE HEADLIGHTS KEEP FLASHING AT THEM IT CAUSES ME TO WORRY THAT THEIR ATTENTION IS NOW FOCUSED ON MY HEADLIGHTS INSTEAD OF THE ROAD. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I HAD MY RADIO, REAR-DEFROST AND HEADLIGHTS ON. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE BATTERY/CHARGING GAUGE DROPS BELOW 10V WHEN THIS HAPPENS. HOWEVER, THE SAME CONDITION HAS BEEN REPEATED WITH ONLY THE NECESSARY EQUIPMENT RUNNING. FOR EXAMPLE, HEADLIGHTS, TAILLIGHTS, AND DASH LIGHTS, ALL OTHER EQUIPMENT OFF. I CURRENTLY HAVE BEEN DOING A SOME READING ON-LINE AND HAVE FOUND THAT MANY PEOPLE WHO OWN THE 2005 TRAILBLAZER HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH THEIR HEADLIGHTS. I HAVE NOT REPLACED ANY PARTS YET. THE VEHICLE IS UNDER WARRANTY UNTIL 36K; THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS 24K MILES. *JB
MY HEADLIGHTS DIM WHILE DRIVING ,FIRST NOTICED WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 25 MI. FROM HOME AND THEY WOULD GO DIM AND THE GAGE WOULD DROPBELOW 14 AND THEN THEY WOULD BRIGHTEN UP AND THE GAGE WENT ABOVE 14, HAS DONE THIS ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS DEALER TOOK IT HOME OVER NIGHT TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON AND OF COURSE IT DIDN'T DO IT , HE SHOWED ME A PRINT OUT THAT SAID NOT TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH IT, IT CONTINUES TO DO THIS AND IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM BUT UNTIL THEY SEE IT I'M JUST STUCK WITH IT , ANY SUGGESTIONS!. *AK

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 72 MPH THE TREADS ON THE DRIVER REAR TIRE SEPARATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS MANEUVERED OFF THE ROAD. DAMAGED WAS CAUSED TO THE REAR BUMPER AND QUARTER PANEL ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THE DEALER HAS BEEN ALERTED.
IN 2006 WHILE DRIVING THE HEADLIGHTS WOULD FLICKER. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THIS IS NORMAL. NOW WHEN DRIVING THE HEADLIGHTS WILL CUTOFF FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES AND WILL THEN CUT BACK ON. IT CAN BE AFTER DRIVING FOR 2 MINUTES OR 30 MINUTES. THE HIGH BEAM LIGHTS WORK FINE WHEN THE "REGULAR" HEADLIGHTS WILL NOT. FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS THE GAS GAUGE, SPEEDOMETER, AND OIL PRESSURE GAGE DO NOT WORK PROPERLY. I CAN BE STOPPED AND THE SPEEDOMETER WILL SHOW I AM GOING X MPH. IT VARIES ON THE AMOUNT OF MILES THE SPEEDOMETER IS OFF. THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE ALWAYS SITS BELOW THE LOW LINE. THE GAS GAUGE IS NOT CORRECT BUT DOES MOVE. THIS VEHICLE IS A PEACE OF JUNK.
MY CAR HAS SHUT DOWN WHILE IDLING AT A STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT. THE FIRST TIME WAS IN 2006, BUT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE THEN. I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, BUT THEY SAID THAT THEY COULDN'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE. I BELIEVE THAT MY FUEL GAUGE IS INACCURATE. IT SHOWED EMPTY, AND, THEN 1/4 TANK. THE REAR WIPER SWEEPS WITHOUT BEING TURNED ON. *TR
7/8/06, WHILE TRAVELING HIGHWAY 31 IN NILES, MICHIGAN, SPEED LIMIT OF 70 MPH, WE HIT A DEER HEAD ON WITH OUR 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER LS, S/N. WE HAD NO TIME TO EVEN BRAKE PRIOR TO THE IMPACT. THE IMPACT TOOK OUT THE FRONT END OF THE CAR, PUSHING THE RADIATOR BACK INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. NEITHER AIR BAG DEPLOYED. THERE WERE 4 PASSENGERS IN THE VEHICLE, INCLUDING AN 11-YEAR OLD BOY, AND A 14-YEAR OLD BOY. *JB
PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT NOT WORKING AND COMING ON WHEN NO PASSAGE. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS BEEN ON SINCE 2006. SEAT BELTS IN 2ND ROW SEATING DON'T LOCK. RADIO BROKE 2006 REPLACED AFTER FIXED CD PLAYER WILL NOT PLAY OR EJECT. AIR CONDITIONER ONLY BLOWS OUT HOT AIR AFTER HUNDREDS DOLLARS TO FIX IT. BOTH HEAD LIGHTS BLOW OUT AT LEAST EVERY 2 MONTHS THEY NEED REPLACED. DRIVERS SIDE BREAK LIGHT N TAIL LIGHT KEEP BLOWING WENT TO AUTO STORE GET MORE BULBS AND THE TAIL LIGHT CAUGHT ON FIRE EMPLOYEES HELPED ME AND SAID THEY SEEN THE TRAILBLAZERS DO IT BEFORE DUE TO WATER BUILDING UP IN IT AND THAT THAT'S THE REASON THE BULBS BLOW. PAID OUT 300$ IN TICKETS CUZ OF THEM BLOWING N NOT KNOWING. THE HOT AND COLD AIR IN SECOND ROW DON'T BLOW OUT AT ALL. A BIKE PARKED BY ME AND MY BACK WINDOW EXPLODED. WINDSHIELD VISION IS CLOUDY. GAS GAUGE, SPEED AD TEMP GAUGE STOPPED WORKING HAD REPLACED NOW BATTERY GAUGE BROKE. ONLY 1, AND 2 WORKED ON HEAT CONTROL AND 2 VENTS WORKED. BOTTOM OF BOTH SIDES OF CAR RUSTED 2 YEARS AGO. I HAD IT PAID OF IN 3 YEARS AND WISH THESE PROBLEMS WERE MADE AVAILABLE BEFORE I DID. I'VE ALREADY PUT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN IT AND THE SAME THING BREAKS AGAIN AND WINDOWS IN FRONT BROKE TOO.MY BLAZER HAS BEE IN THE GARAGE SINCE JANUARY CUZ AS SOON AS MY HUSBANDS GETS IT OUT THE SHOP IT NEEDS TO GO RIGHT BACK AND WE CANT AFFORD TO FIX IT NOMORE I LOVE MY BLAZER AND DON'T WANT HIM SELLING IT OR TRADING IT IN S IF YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE THAT WOULD HELP PLEASE TELL ME. I'VE BEEN KEEPING IT HOPING TO GET IT FIXED AGAIN BUT I ALSO HAVE A DISABLED GRANDSON AND CUSTODY OF A 2 YEAR OLD THAT HAVE APTS N THERAPY 4 TIMES A WEEK AND NEED A CAR BUT I LOVE IT AND CANT PART WITH IT. I PURCHASED A 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER LESS THAN A YEAR AGO. SINCE THAT TIME THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SERVICE CENTER FOUR DIFFERENT TIMES. EACH TIME THE VEHICLE HAS FAILED TO START. THE DEALER STATES THAT THE REAR HATCH MODULE CONTINUES TO SHORT OUT. THIS MODULE CAUSES THE ENTIRE VEHICLE TO SHORT OUT. I HAVE EXPRESSED MY CONCERNS WITH THE SAFETY OF THIS VEHICLE WITH THE DEALER AND HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANYWHERE. I AN A SINGLE MOTHER OF A TWO YEAR OLD. I AM ONLY INTERESTED IN THE SAFETY OF MY CHILD. JACK SCHMITT CHEVROLET OF O'FALLON ILLINOIS WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THE VEHICLE THAT THEY SOLD OR ADMIT THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM. THE LAST TIME I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN FOR THIS PROBLEM THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS THE IGNITION. WHEN I CAME TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE AFTER THEY HAD "FIXED" IT, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THEY ADMITTED THAT IT WAS IN FACT THE REAR HATCH MODULE AGAIN AND THAT THEY HAD MADE AN EDUCATED GUESS THE FIRST TIME IN ORDER TO SAVE TIME. I WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO HOLD THIS DEALERSHIP RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEFECT IN THIS CAR AND TO STOP GIVING CONSUMERS THE RUN AROUND. *JB

THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE BODY CONTROL MODULE, CLEANED THE GROUND WIRES AND INSERTED A SNAP SHOT IN ATTEMPT TO REMEDY THE FAILURES. UPDATED 07/11/06. *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, THE HEADLIGHTS DIM AND FLICKER ON AND OFF. THIS OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE FRONT PASSENGER POWER WINDOW RUBS AGAINST THE DOOR FRAME AND INTERMITTENTLY FAILS TO CLOSE. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR; HOWEVER NO FURTHER INSPECTIONS HAVE BEEN MADE. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN ALERTED.
WITH CRUISE CONTROL SET GOING DOWN HILL. THE VEHICLE DOESN'T HOLD THE SPEED YOU SET IT AT. DEPENDING ON THE SIZE OF THE HILL IT WILL GAIN BETWEEN 5 AND 15 MPH. *NM
THE LIFT GATE ON MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT LIFT ALL THE WAY IN LATE IN 2005 AND WOULD ONLY LIFT UP TO 1/4 OF ITS ACTUAL OPENING. WHILE ON THE INTERSTATE RECENTLY, IT COMPLETELY FELL OFF FLYING INTO TRAFFIC. *JB

ENGINE WARNING LIGHT FLASHES OCCASIONALLY. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING WITH THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. REPEATED VISITS TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIPS HAVE RESULTED IN NO REPAIR. THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED TOTAL ENGINE FAILURE TO WHICH THE DEALERSHIP STATED IT WAS A COOLING FAN. EVEN UPON REPLACING THIS FAN, THE LIGHT CONTINUES TO FLASH ON/OFF. AT ONE POINT THE LIGHT STAYED ON TO WHICH ONSTAR REPORTED AN ENGINE COOLING/AC ISSUE. THIS WARNING WAS REPORTED TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY STATED THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED BUT THE LIGHT WILL CONTINUE TO FLASH EVERY COUPLE OF DAYS. THIS IS ABNORMAL AND HAS BEEN ADDRESSED MULTIPLE TIMES BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO FIX THE ISSUE. *TR

AT THIS TIME THE SPEEDOMETER STARTED MISREADING AND CONTINUES THROUGH TODAY. THEN THE FUEL GAUGE STOPPED READING AND AFTER THAT THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE & AMP GAUGE STARTED MISREADING. I TALKED TO THE LOCAL CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. *TR
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE TRAVELING 55 MPH, THE DRIVER FELL ASLEEP AND THE VEHICLE VEERED OFF THE ROAD HITTING A TREE. THE IMPACT WAS IN THE CENTER OF THE FRONT END, WHEN THIS OCCURRED, THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES, ALTHOUGH THE SEAT BELT WAS WORN. A POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN AT THE SCENE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP AND THE TECHNICIAN DETERMINED THE FENDER CUT THE WIRES FOR THE AIRBAG SENSOR. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN ALERTED.

THE CONTACT TOOK VEHICLE TO 4 TIMES , AND THE LAST TIME WAS TOLD THAT HIS AIR PUMP WAS THE CAUSE OF THIS MALFUNCTION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE STILL HAD NO RESOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM WITH HIS HEADLIGHTS. THE CONTACT HAS CALLED GENERAL MOTORS, AND THEY TOOK HIS COMPLAINT. HE WAS TOLD BY GENERAL MOTORS THAT THEY WERE WORKING ON THIS FAILURE DUE TO OF THE NUMBER OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS. THE CONTACT STATED THT HE HAD NO RESOLUTION FROM GENERAL MOTORS, AND HE HAS CONTACTED THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. ONE WEEK AFTER PURCHASING MY NEW VEHICLE, I DROVE AT NIGHT. WHILE DRIVING, MY HEADLIGHTS WENT DIM UPON DECELERATION. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT FIXED. THEY SAID THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND COULD NOT FIX IT. NOW, I AM TAKING IT BACK AGAIN AND HAVING THEM DRIVE IT AT NIGHT. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT I AM NOT WILLING TO LIVE WITH AND WANT IT FIXED. *JB
FOR THE 3RD TIME THE CLUSTER HAS GONE OUT. THIS RESULTS IN THE SPEEDOMETER, TEMPERATURE GAUGE AND OTHERS TO STOP WORKING. EACH TIME I AM EXPECTED TO TAKE MY VEHICLE TO A CHEVROLET MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS AND PART REPLACEMENT AT $700.00+ EACH TIME. THIS MODEL HAS NO RECALL. I AM FED UP WITH PAYING THIS MUCH EVERY 3-4 YEARS FOR A DEFECTIVE PART. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ANY SIGN BEFORE IT GOES OUT.
WHILE I DO NOT OWN A CHEVY TRAILBLAZER, I FREQUENTLY AM DRIVING BEHIND THESE VEHICLES AND NOTE THAT THE BRAKE LIGHT ON ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER IS OFTEN BURNT OUT. SEEMS THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM OF SOME KIND OR MAYBE TRAILBLAZER OWNERS ARE JUST PRONE TO NOT CHECKING THEIR LIGHTS. *NM

OUR NEW SUV (GSA VEHICLE) HAS A WINDSHIELD THAT SLOPES AT TO STEEP OF AN ANGLE. THE REARVIEW MIRROR IS STUCK ON THE GLASS ALMOST IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WINDSHIELD SEVERELY COMPROMISING MY FORWARD TO RIGHT SIDE VISIBILITY. WHAT WERE THE ENGINEERS THINKING? ALSO, THE VEHICLE LACKS POWER WINDOW SAFETY SWITCHES THAT COULD CHOKE A CHILD IF THEY STOOD ON THEM WITH THEIR HEAD OUT THE WINDOW. I THOUGHT THESE SWITCHES WERE OUTLAWED YEARS AGO? *NM
I BOUGHT A 2005 TRAILBLAZER IN 2006. THERE WAS ALOT OF HISSING FROM THE SPEAKERS, WHICH THEY REPLACED BUT IT NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM. I ALREADY FIXED THE OXYGEN SENSOR AND NOW I NOTICE THE LIGHTS GO DIM AND BRIGHT AND IT SEEMS TO LOSE POWER. IT ONLY HAS 36,000 MILES ON IT.
