TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAIL BLAZER. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 30 MPH WHEN SHE APPLIED THE BRAKES BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. THE CONTACT UTILIZED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS WHO STATED THAT THE FLEXIBLE BRAIDED LINE WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 82,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THIS VEHICLE WAS KNOWINGLY SOLD WITH AN EXISTING FAILURE TO A WARRANTIED PART. THE DEALERSHIP FAILED TO NOTIFY US, THE PROSPECTIVE BUYER ABOUT THE FAILED PART AND HAS ATTEMPTED TO OFFER "HUSH MONEY" TO MAKE THEIR RESPONSIBILITY GO AWAY. THE SECONDARY AIR INJECTION PUMP IS KNOWN TO BE BAD ON THE VEHICLE AND THE DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO REPAIR IT AND JUST AS STATED OFFER HUSH MONEY TO MAKE THIS PROBLEM GO AWAY. THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR NEEDS TO STOP AND DEALERSHIPS HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS. A DOCUMENT WITH THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROBLEM CAN BE PROVIDED IF NEEDED TO FURTHER INVESTIGATION.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER WAS TRAVELING BETWEEN 30 AND 40 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE HEAD ON AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE HEAD, MOUTH, CHEST, LEG, AND WRIST. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
LEAVING PARKING LOT (& WANTING TO TURN ONTO ROAD) I APPLIED MY 2005 TRAILBLAZER EXT BRAKES. MY FOOT & PEDAL WENT TO FLOOR WITH NO BRAKE AT ALL. THANKFULLY NO CARS & GOING SLOW ENOUGH OR I WOULD HAVE HIT THEM. INSTEAD OF STOPPING AT END OF PARKING LOT, I FOUND MYSELF ENTERING ROAD & SEEING TREES ON OTHER SIDE OF ROAD COMING UP QUICKLY. I GRABBED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE LEVER. SCARED ME TO DEATH!!! VEHICLE THEN TAKEN TO REPAIR SHOP. SHOP OWNER REPORT = HOLE RUBBED IN BRAKE LINE CLOSE TO DRIVER FIREWALL SEPARATING ENGINE FROM SEAT AREA. HE FURTHER SAID "BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR 30+ YEARS AND HAD NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE. SEEMS LIKE A HUGE DESIGN FLAW." RUBBING ON ANOTHER LINE & PINHOLE THERE NOW - WHICH WOULD EXPLAIN WHY MY A/C WAS NOT WORKING ON DRIVER SIDE, BUT WORKING ON THE PASS SIDE. HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAD AN ACCIDENT? HAVE ANOTHER (?)... IF GM HAS KNOWN ABOUT A PROBLEM FOR YRS ON SEVERAL MODELS: VERY WELL DOCUMENTED ON INTERNET BY HUNDREDS (IF NOT THOUSANDS OF OWNERS) - WHY WON'T NHTSA MAKE GM DO SOMETHING? PROBLEM = SPEED GAUGE, OIL PRESSURE GAUGE, & RADIO ALL OF A SUDDEN STOP WORKING ONE DAY. THEN SOME DAYS THEY ALL WORK, SOME DAYS ONLY 1 WORK, SOME DAYS 2 WORK??? AN EQUIPMENT MALFUNCTION OR COMPUTER GLITCH? HAPPENED ABOUT 75K MILES ON BOTH MY AUTO & MY DAD'S 2005 CHEVY PICKUP. I LIVE IN SE, HE LIVES IN NE. TWO AREAS OF US; YET EACH DEALERSHIP WANTED ABOUT $600.00 TO FIX IT. CALLED GM: NO HELP AVAILABLE!! SEARCHED INTERNET FOR REPAIR FIX, & NOTICED TONS OF UNHAPPY OWNERS W/ SAME PROBLEM: GM WOULD NOT HELP THEM PAY FOR THIS PROBLEM - EVEN THOUGH IT'S THEIR EQUIPMENT PROBLEM. CLEARLY IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE: NO ONE CAN TELL HOW FAST ACTUALLY GOING & LED TO MANY ACCIDENTS & SPEEDING TICKETS I'M SURE! TIME NHTSA STEPS IN DON'T YOU THINK? EXHAUST MANIFOLD DEVELOPED A LEAK WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 40 BETWEEN NASHVILLE AND JACKSON TN. DRIVER AND PASSENGERS DEVELOPED HEADACHES AND DROWSINESS BEFORE LEAK WAS DISCOVERED BY SOUND DURING STOP FOR GAS. *TR
I WAS DRIVING DURING SUMMER TIME AND MY FUEL GAGE WENT FROM FULL TO EMPTY FOR NO REASON. I HAD JUST FILLED UP, SO I KNEW THERE WAS GAS IN THE TANK. IT HAS SINCE GIVEN ME RANDOM READINGS. IF I LET THE GAS LEVEL FALL BELOW 3/4 OF A TANK. IT WILL GO TO EMPTY EVEN IF I FILLED THE TANK. IT DOES WORK RANDOMLY SOMETIMES. *TR
UNCOMMENTED ACTUATION OF DOOR LOCKS, LOCK / UNLOCK SEVERAL TIMES, BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATED, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, DRIVE GEAR INDICATOR SHOWN 1ST GEAR REGARDLESS OF GEAR SELECTED ON GEARSHIFT, ENGINE HAVING TROUBLE MAKING POWER, OPERATING VERY ROUGH. ALARM BELL ENUNCIATING FOR SHORT TIME. INTENTIONALLY SHUT CAR DOWN, RESTART NO CHANGE. FUEL GAUGE, OIL PRESSURE GAUGES, TEMP GAGE READ NORMALLY. *TR
SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING STAYS POINTING AT 60 MPH AND WILL RISE FROM THERE AFTER STOPPING VEHICLE. *TR
WENT FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND MY TRANSMISSION DIPSTICK HANDLE WAS RUSTED OFF (KIND OF HARD TO REMOVE IT). I CAN'T FIND ANYWHERE THAT REPLACES THEM EITHER.... *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE BRAKES FAILED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY FOR THREE YEARS. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000. THE WINDOW REGULATOR, BATTERY CABLE, TANK LEVEL SENSOR, CLUTCH FAN, SERPENTINE BELT, TIGHT OUTER TIE ROD, HOOD LATCH,WATER PUMP, WERE ALL REPLACED. ALSO, THE ROTORS WERE WARPED, DUE TO RUST BY CLIMATE, THE REAR BRAKES PADS WERE WORN AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE FRONT ROTORS WERE MACHINED. THERE WAS AN INTERMITTENT SURGE AFTER ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. THERE WAS A SQUEALING NOISE COMING FROM THE BRAKES. THE PASSENGER SIDE BRAKE LIGHTS WERE BLOWING OUT. THE TAIL LIGHT CIRCUIT BOARD WAS REPLACED. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED, DUE TO A FAULTY EMISSION VENT VALVE AND HOSE ASSEMBLY. THE ABS WAS ENGAGING, WHEN COMING TO A STOP. UPDATED 10/01/14

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LOW FUEL SENSOR AND THE FUEL GAUGE FAILED.THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LOW FUEL SENSOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WHILE THE VEHICLE HAD A FULL TANK OF GAS AND THE FUEL GAUGE WAS SHOWING THE INCORRECT FUEL LEVEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH THE THIRD TAIL LIGHT DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MOLDING AND THE FOAM AROUND THE LIGHT HAD COME UNDONE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 120,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
THE FUEL SENSOR LEVEL IS OUT. IT IS GOING TO BE QUITE EXPENSIVE TO FIX....AFTER SEARCHING THE INTERNET IT APPEARS SEVERAL PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. WHY IS THERE NOT A RECALL??? *TR
VEHICLE HAS 145,000 MILES. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE DASHBOARD'S GAS GAUGE HAS STOPPED WORKING. FIRST TIME OCCURRED AROUND 50,000 MILES AND IT WAS REPLACED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT WAS TRAVELING 45 MPH WHEN HE CRASHED AGAINST THE STREET MEDIAN, A UTILITY POLE AND THEN INTO A BUILDING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NONE OF THE AIR BAGS IN THE VEHICLE DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED LESIONS TO THE FACE, A CONTUSION TO THE RIGHT EYE AND CONTUSIONS TO THE CHEST AND LOWER ABDOMEN AREA. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED HOWEVER, THE FINDINGS WERE NOT DISCLOSED TO CONTACT. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 118,000.
FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT ACCURATELY SHOW THE RIGHT LEVEL OF FUEL IN THE CAR. FUEL LIGHT COMES ON WHEN TANK IS FULL. FUEL GAUGE SHOWS FULL TANK WHEN EMPTY. THIS HAS CAUSED TWO CASES O CAR BREAKING DOWN AND BEING STRANDED. ONE INCIDENT ALMOST CAUSED CAR TO BE REAR ENDED ON BUSY HIGHWAY. *TR
ON, 6/17/12, MY DAUGHTER AND I WERE DRIVING EAST BOUND I-96 AND INVOLVED IN A NON-FATAL INJURY ACCIDENT BTWN BEECH DALY & INKSTER. THE ACCIDENT STARTED IN THE FAR RIGHT LANE AND ENDED WITH SUV FACING OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF TRAFFIC, LEFT LANE OF HWY. I HIT A POTHOLE, APPROXIMATE DIAMETER OF A YARD STICK, FILLED WITH WATER AND IT SEEMS LIKE I LOST CONTROL OF THE STEERING; ALMOST AS IF THE VEHICLE HAD INSTANTLY SHUT DOWN. THE VEHICLE EASILY COMPLETED AT LEAST A 360 SPIN OUT. WE WERE ABLE TO WALK AWAY WITH MINIMAL INJURIES DUE TO CLIPPING ANOTHER SUV TAIL END INSTANTLY BEFORE GOING STRAIGHT INTO THE CEMENT HIGHWAY DIVIDER! I DIDN'T REALIZE HOW MUCH MUSCLE STRENGTHENING WOULD BE INVOLVED IN MINE AND MY DAUGHTERS' HEALING PROCESS. I HAVE BEEN IN TO SEE AN INTERNIST, NEUROLOGICAL SURGEON, PHYSICAL THERAPIST, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST, MASSAGE THERAPIST, NOT TO MENTION ALL OF THE CAT SCANS, MRIS, ETC. PERFORMED AT MULTIPLE HOSPITAL LOCATIONS. MY VEHICLE INSURANCE CARRIER WAS NOTIFIED OF MY HEALTH INSURANCE RESTRICTIONS PRIOR TO SIGNING WITH THEM AND PRIOR TO THE MVI. THE REDFORD, MI POLICE REPORT INDICATES NO INJURIES BECAUSE NEITHER MYSELF NOR MY DAUGHTER WERE TAKEN AWAY BY AMBULANCE SINCE THE INJURIES WERE NOT LIFE THREATENING AND WE WERE BOTH IN FORMAL ATTIRE, BOTH BRIDAL PARTY MEMBERS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND TOTALED BY INSURANCE, LOAN PAID IN FULL; HOWEVER, APPARENTLY CONCERNS HAVE AROSE TO, PERHAPS, TO THE EXTENT OF OUR INJURIES SO NO MEDICAL PROCEDURES HAVE NOT BEEN PAID TO ANY OF THE SERVICE PROVIDERS, AS OF TODAY'S DATE (11/15/14). MY DAUGHTER AND I WERE PICKED UP BY ANOTHER GUEST ATTENDEE SO WE WEREN'T HOLDING UP PROGRESS, BEING IN THE WEDDING PARTY AND CARRYING ALL DECOR FOR AFTERWARD FESTIVITIES. NONE OF THE VEHICLE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND WE WERE GOING 60-65MPH (FRONT, SIDE, REAR, NO WHERE)! THANK YOU, GM, MDOT AND CURRENT EMPLOYEES FOR STAYING TRUE TO USA & MI! *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT NOTICED A BURNING ODOR AND SMOKE COMING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTICS WHERE THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THAT THE POWER WINDOW MODULE WAS MELTED AND WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THERE WAS AN INVESTIGATION UNDER NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: EA12004 (VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) FOR THE 2006-2007 MODELS THAT COULD POSSIBLY HAVE BEEN RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ALSO EXPERIENCED A FAILURE WITH THE REAR DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT. THE PASSENGER BECAME TRAPPED BY THE SEAT BELT WHEN IT WOULD NOT UNLOCK. THE CONTACT HAD TO CUT THE SEAT BELT IN ORDER TO RELEASE THE PASSENGER. THE SEAT BELT WAS REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PARK, SHE ACCIDENTALLY APPLIED THE ACCELERATOR AND THE CRASHED INTO SOME CONCRETE STEPS,LEADING TO A BUILDING. THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE CHEST AND BACK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL BODY SHOP BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE OTHER DAY MY GAS GAUGE IN MY 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER SHOWED THAT MY GAS TANK WAS IN BETWEEN HALF AND QUARTER TANK OF GAS. I WAS GOING APPROX 60-65 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE VEHICLE STALLS DUE TO BEING OUT OF GAS!!!! I GET IT TOWED TO A GAS STATION AND FILL IT UP WHEN I START MY CAR NOW IT SHOWS THAT THERE IS NO GAS IN THE CAR WHEN I JUST FILLED THE TANK. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM AS I HAD MY YOUNG CHILD IN THE VEHICLE WITH ME WHEN THE STALL ON THE HIGHWAY OCCURRED. NOT A HAPPY PERSON THESE DAYS!! *TT
FUEL GAUGE WAS SHOWING LOW FUEL LEVEL, I FILLED UP THE TANK AND THE GAUGE WENT TO EMPTY AND SAID FUEL LEVEL LOW WARNING. *TR
I WAS APPROACHING A TRAFFIC SIGNAL. I HIT MY BRAKES WHEN REALIZING THE LIGHT WAS RED. THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES LOCKED UP AND I SLID THROUGH THE LIGHT HITTING A TURNING CAR. THIS RESULTED IN A FRONTAL IMPACT, BUT THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE IS TOTALED. *JS
AFTER FILLING UP MY 2005 TRAILBLAZER, MY GAS NEEDLE WENT TO EMPTY AND THE LIGHT CAME ON. THE NEXT MORNING MY GAS GAUGE WAS ON FULL BUT THEN IT STARTED MOVING INTERMITTENTLY AND HAS NOT STOPPED SINCE. I AM NEVER SURE HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE AND DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY FOR REPAIRS. AFTER READING ALL THE COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER PEOPLE WHO ALSO HAVE A 2005 TRAILBLAZER, IT SEEMS THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL FROM GM. THEY ARE OFFERING A "DEAL" AS THEY CALL IT WHERE THEY WILL REPLACE THE FUEL SENSOR IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 120,000 MILES BUT YOU STILL HALF TO PAY FOR HALF OF THE REPAIR AND GM WILL PAY THE OTHER HALF. THIS IS NOT A "DEAL", IT SHOULD BE COVERED BY GM AT 100%!

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTICS. THE MANUFACTURER ISSUED A SPECIAL COVERAGE PROGRAM THAT COVERED HALF OF THE REPAIR EXPENSES FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE FUEL SENSOR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH ATTEMPTING TO AVOID IMPACTING A DEER ON THE ROAD, HE CRASHED OFF A 9 FOOT EMBANKMENT AND NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT BECAME UNCONSCIOUS AFTER HIS HEAD CRASHED INTO THE STEERING WHEEL. ALSO, THE CONTACT SUFFERED SEVERE NECK INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY THE DEALER BUT THE RESULTS WERE INCONCLUSIVE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 108,429. MY SPEEDOMETER QUIT WORKING ONE DAY, AND HASN'T WORKED SINCE. WHILE DRIVING IT WILL SAY I'M GOING THE SPEED LIMIT AND ALL OF A SUDDEN ITS DROPS TO 0 MPH, OR SAY I'M DRIVING 30 MPH. MY SPEEDOMETER IS NEVER ACCURATE. I WENT HAD IT CHECKED WITH THE CHEVROLET DEALER SHIP AND THEY STATED I NEED A NEW SPEED INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND IT WOULD COST ME $518.00 JUST FOR THE PART, NOT INCLUDING THE LABOR. *TR
MY MECHANIC IS TELLING ME THE LEFT UPPER AND LOWER BALL JOINTS NEED REPLACED.....WHAT ELSE CAN GO WRONG THIS CAR! *TR
LOWERED THE DRIVER'S POWER WINDOW & IT DIDN'T GO BACK UP. OPENED & CLOSED DOOR & TRIED BUTTON A FEW MORE TIMES, THEN IT WENT UP. UNSURE OF BURN SMELL AS I WAS ON HIGHWAY. CHECKED AGAIN WHILE STATIONARY & WINDOW BUTTON NON FUNCTIONAL. NOTED THAT INTERIOR DOME LIGHT DID NOT LIGHT WHEN DOOR OPENED & ALL POWER BUTTONS IN DRIVER'S DOOR (WINDOWS, LOCKS, MIRRORS) RENDERED NON-FUNCTIONAL. ALSO NOTED THAT THIS DOOR DOES NOT RESPOND TO REMOTE KEYFOB FOR LOCK/UNLOCK, AND DOOR BY-PASSES ALARM SYSTEM. ALARM CAN BE SET, DOOR OPENED WITH KEY AND ALARM WILL ONLY TRIGGER WHEN KEY IS PUT INTO IGNITION, BUT UNARMS WHEN IGNITION CRANKS. IT SHOULD ALSO BE NOTED THAT THE DRIVER'S DOOR IS THE ONLY DOOR THAT HAS A KEY LOCK MECHANISM. THE REST OF THE VEHICLE RELIES ON REMOTE OR DOOR SWITCHES. APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR LATER I OPENED THE DOOR (AS I COULD NOT PUT THE WINDOW DOWN) AND THE INTERIOR DOME LIGHT LIT, SO I TRIED THE POWER LOCK BUTTON AND IT WORKED. TWICE. THE ENTIRE DOOR AGAIN WENT DEAD/NON-RESPONSIVE. WITHOUT WINDOW ACCESS, THE DOOR MUST BE OPENED ON HIGHWAYS WITH TOLL BOOTHS. THE LACK OF INTERIOR LIGHT, INABILITY TO READILY ACCESS THE DOOR LOCKS, AND THE ALARM BY-PASS CREATES A SECURITY ISSUE. THE INABILITY TO ADJUST THE MIRRORS CREATES A SAFETY ISSUE, AS THE WINDOW CANNOT BE LOWERED.THE DRIVER'S DOOR NO LONGER LOCKS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PUT INTO DRIVE. THE SCARIEST THING IS THAT THE CONTROLS SIMPLY STOPPED. WHY? A SHORT IN THE SYSTEM IS A VERY LOGICAL POSSIBILITY, ESPECIALLY WITH THE RANDOM FUNCTIONING JUST A YEAR LATER. I HAVE NOTED MULTIPLE ISSUES ON REPAIR SITES REFERENCING THIS PROBLEM WITH 2005 TRAILBLAZERS, AND AS OF TODAY (6/15/13) SAW A RECALL FOR A SHORT IN THE DOOR FOR 2006/7 TRAILBLAZERS. IF THE SAME ISSUE IS OCCURRING WITH OTHER YEARS, WOULDN'T IT FOLLOW THAT IT WAS A FLAW THAT SHOULD BE REVIEWED IN ALL TRAILBLAZERS OF THE SAME BODY STYLING? *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE TRYING TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF THE KEY BECAME SEIZED IN THE IGNITION. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT IT TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 84,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
SINCE I GOT THE VEHICLE APPROX 5 YEARS AGO I BEGAN HAVING ISSUES ABOUT A YEAR LATER. IT STARTED WITH MY SPEED ODOMETER GAUGE STOPPED WORKING THEN OVER THAT FOLLOWING YEAR EVENTUALLY ALL THE GAUGES STOPPED FUNCTIONING. LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT THIS WAS THE BEGINNING OF MY ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE. MY BREAK LIGHTS WILL WORK OFF AND ON, MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOWS WORKS OFF AND ON, MY BLOWER STOPS WORKING WHEN EVER IT FEELS, A DIAGNOSTIC TEST SHOWED MY THROTTLE ON HAS PEDAL NEVER CLOSES SO I AVERAGE 9 MILES PER GALLON IN GAS MILEAGE, THE INTERIOR LIGHTS DECIDE WHEN TO WORK AND NOT, AND THE LOCKS ON THEIR ON CAUSING ME TO GET LOCKED OUT OF MY CAR AT TIMES. THIS TO ME IS CLEARLY A ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND HAVE SPOKE TO GM BECAUSE I CAN'T EVEN TRADE THE VEHICLE IN TO GET A SAFER VEHICLE BECAUSE NO ONE WANTS IT. I FILLED UP MY GAS TANK COMPLETELY AND THE GAS GAUGE REGISTERED "EMPTY." THE TRUCK HAS ALSO STALLED A FEW TIMES IN BOTH DRIVE AND REVERSE. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AS I WAS BACKING INTO TRAFFIC WHEN IT STALLED. I HAD TO QUICKLY RE-START IT TO AVOID BEING HIT BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC. SINCE MY FUEL GAGE SENSOR BROKE I HAVE BEEN WATCHING THE NEEDLE GO FROM "FULL" TO "EMPTY" ALL WITHIN A MINUTE. I'VE DONE SOME RESEARCH ON THIS MATTER AND HAVE FOUND THAT CHEVROLET USED A CHEAPER FUEL SENSOR MANUFACTURER (DELCO) IN ORDER TO SAVE MONEY. THE CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY OF THE COST TO REPAIR THE FUEL SENSOR. PLEASE ADVISE CHEVROLET TO RECALL THIS FAULTY PART AT THEIR EXPENSE. THANK YOU. *TR

WHILE DRIVING TO WORK MY CRUISE CONTROL SHUT DOWN AND MY SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING. TODAY, 02/28/2012, I NOTICED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE ON MY 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXT WAS FLUCTUATING BETWEEN HALF FULL AND FULL AFTER ADDING 19 GALLONS OF GAS TO THE TRUCK. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE NOTICED THIS PROBLEM AND AM AWARE THAT MANY OTHER INDIVIDUALS HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM ON THEIR TRAILBLAZERS. I AM HOPING THERE WILL BE A RECALL IN THE NEAR FUTURE. *TR

THERE WAS AN INVESTIGATION UNDER NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: DP10001 (FUEL TANK FUEL SYSTEM, OTHER:STORAGE:FUEL GAUGE SYSTEM) THAT COULD POSSIBLY HAVE BEEN RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 175,000.
