FUEL GAUGE READS EMPTY AFTER FILLING TANK, WON'T RESET ITSELF AFTER FUELING. BACK HATCH LOCK IS STUCK IN LOCK AND HAS ALREADY BEEN REPLACED ONCE. SOMETIME WHEN YOUR SETTING STILL AT A RED LIGHT OR JUST GOING SLOW IN TRAFFIC, THERE SEEMS TO BE A "SURGE" OF POWER OR FUEL TO WHERE THE VEHICLE LURCHES FORWARD. WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT THE LIGHTS WILL FLICKER OR DIM ON THERE OWN. *TR
MY GAS GAUGE READS EMPTY WHEN FULL, OR PARTIALLY FULL, I NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH GAS IS IN MY VEHICLE SO, I HAVE TO GUESTIMATE OR COUNT MILES, MY OIL PRESSURE IS THE SAME. I AM AMAZED THIS HASN'T CAUSED A MASS RECALL SO FAR AS I HAVE READ THROUGH SOME OF THE PAGES OF COMPLAINTS AND ITS LITTERED WITH THE SAME THING. I BOUGHT MY CAR USED FEB. 2012 AND HAVE HAD NOTHING, BUT ISSUES. *TR
THE FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT WORK. THE FUEL GAUGE SETS ON EMPTY REGARDLESS OF HOW FULL THE GAS TANK IS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER FAILED AND WOULD DISPLAY THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING MUCH FASTER THAN THE ACTUAL SPEED DRIVEN. THE CONTACT STATE THAT WHILE IN A PARKING LOT, THE SPEEDOMETER ERRONEOUSLY DISPLAYED THAT THE CONTACT WAS TRAVELING 30 MPH WHEN THE ACCELERATOR WAS NOT BEING DEPRESSED. THE FAILURE WOULD RECUR INTERMITTENTLY. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS WOULD BECOME EXTREMELY DIM WHEN THE FAILURE WOULD OCCUR. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 125,000.
THE FUEL GAUGE DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY I HAVE TO RESET THE TRIP METER EVERY TIME I FILL IT UP WITH GAS. I KNOW OTHERS HAVE HAD COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE JUST LIKE TO SEE GM HELP WITH THIS ISSUE WITH A RECALL ON THEM AND PAY FOR THE COSTS SINCE THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE. *JS
CLUSTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FAILED. RPM ODOMETER DOESN'T WORK, SPEED RANGES FROM 80-OFF THE CHARTS, GAS GAUGE NOT ACCURATE. APPARENTLY BIG PROBLEM W/OVER 300 COMPLAINTS YET NO RECALL. FIRESTONE JUST QUOTED ME $700 FOR A REMOVE AND REPLACE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GAUGE. $600 FOR THE GAUGE ITSELF. I CAN'T AFFORD THAT. *TR
I WENT TO GAS STATION AND FILLED UP MY GAS TANK. WHEN I LEFT THE GAS STATION, MY FUEL LIGHT WAS ON SHOWING MY GAS TANK WAS EMPTY. OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL MONTHS, THE GAS GAGE WOULD GO UP AND DOWN AND NOT SHOW THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF GAS. NOW, IT ALWAYS SHOWS EMPTY WITH THE GAS LIGHT ON. THIS IS AN ISSUE NOT KNOWING HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE AT ANY TIME. *TR
THE REAR SPOILER LOOKED LIKE SOMEONE HAD TRIED TO REMOVE IT WITH A SCREWDRIVER. EVENTUALLY IT CAME TO THE POINT THAT IT WOULD "FLAP" IN THE WIND WHEN DRIVING. WHEN DRIVING, IT CAME DISCONNECTED FROM THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 5. HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR THE ELECTRICAL CORD, IT COULD HAVE HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THE FREEWAY. I TOOK IT TO A REPAIR SHOP. THE SHOP FIXES IT, BUT IT BEGAN DOING THE SAME THING WITHIN A YEAR. I TOOK IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP AGAIN. AGAIN, THE FIX FAILED. I TOOK IT A THIRD TIME AND IT HAS JUST FAILED AGAIN, I WILL TAKE IT TO ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP AND POSSIBLY A DEALER SHOP TO LOOK AT IT. I AM READING THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH 2005 TRAIL BLAZERS. I HAVE PAID FOR A REPAIR ONCE AND FIND IT DIFFICULT TO HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN THAT IS NO FAULT OF MINE OR REPEATED TAMPERING.
, I WAS APPROACHING A LINE OF CARS STOPPED FOR A RED LIGHT. THE WEATHER WAS CLEAR AND I WAS DECELERATING AND MOVING AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH. AS I BEGAN TO APPLY THE BRAKES, THEY FAILED CATASTROPHICALLY. THE BRAKE PEDAL HIT THE FLOOR,WITH NO RESISTANCE, AND I RAN INTO THE BACK OF A STOPPED PICKUP TRUCK?.WATCHING IT ALL UNFOLD BEFORE MY EYES WHILE MY FOOT FRANTICALLY PUMPED THE BRAKE PEDAL, WHICH HIT THE FLOOR WITH EACH ATTEMPT. ALTHOUGH IT WAS A FRONT END COLLISION, THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. *TR
AFTER FILLING MY GAS TANK AND EXITING GAS STATION. I NOTICED THAT MY FUEL GAUGE WAS SHOWING HALF FULL, EVEN THOUGH I JUST PUT IN 20 GALLONS OF GAS IN THE TANK. AS I DROVE FURTHER DOWN THE RODE I NOTICED THE GAUGE WOULD GO BACK AND FORTH FROM EMPTY TO FULL STOPPING AT DIFFERENT POINTS. AT SOME POINTS WOULD STAY AT EMPTY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD ERRONEOUSLY PROVIDE AN EMPTY READING WHEN THE FUEL TANK WAS FILLED TO CAPACITY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD SPORADICALLY ILLUMINATE WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED AS WELL AS THE VEHICLE EXHIBITING SPORADIC STALLING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION OR REPAIRS. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 73,000.
WHEN MY GAS GAUGE STOPPED WORKING, IT SHOWED I HAD FUEL IN MY TANK, TURNS OUT I DID NOT. I RAN OUT OF GAS WHILE ON AN INTERSTATE IN MAINE..IN THE DEAD OF WINTER, AT NIGHT, ON ICY ROADS, TRAVELING AT APPROX 35 MILES AN HOUR. AS ALL OF YOU KNOW, WHEN YOU RUN OUT OF FUEL, THE POWER STEERING & BRAKING SHUT DOWN AND THE VEHICLE CAN BE VERY DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER AS WELL AS VERY DANGEROUS... ESPECIALLY ON ICY ROADS IN MAINE IN JANUARY. I AM A YOUNG LADY AND HAPPENED TO BE ALL ALONE WHEN THIS OCCURRED AND NOT TO MENTION I WAS ABOUT 15 MILES AWAY FROM THE NEAREST GAS STATION.. SO NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS NOT HAPPY. I WASN'T ABOUT TO HIKE THE INTERSTATE, BY MYSELF IN FREEZING COLD WEATHER AT NIGHT.. I DO NOT HAVE A DEATH WISH. ALTHOUGH I HAD TO SIT IN MY VEHICLE, WHERE I HAD NO HEAT, DUE TO NO FUEL, AND WAIT FOR OVER AN HOUR FOR MY DAD TO COME RESCUE ME. THIS IS NOT RIGHT, AND IT IS NOT THE CONSUMERS FAULT, THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BY GM, BECAUSE AS YOU'VE HEARD BY ME, AND MANY OTHERS, IT'S A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE, AND THEY NEED TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. SOME OF THESE COMPLAINTS GO BACK INTO 2007, IT'S NOW 2012.. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? FATAL ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPIDITY? MAKE IT RIGHT GM. YOU HAVE NOT HEARD THE LAST OF THIS... *TR

MY FUEL SENSOR AND FUEL PUMP HAVE STOPPED WORKING ON MY VEHICLE. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THIS FIXED BUT I DON'T HAVE THE $1100.00 TO PAY FOR IT. *TR
MY SPEEDOMETER DISPLAYS AN EXTREMELY INACCURATE READING, OR DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. *TR
GAS GAUGE FAILS. AFTER COMPLETELY FILLING GAS TANK, GAUGE STILL SHOWS BELOW EMPTY AND LIGHT STAYS ON. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS TWICE - ONCE AT A BUSY INTERSECTION AND WAS FORTUNATE TO COAST THRU THE INTERSECTION AND MAKE IT TO THE SIDE. I NOW TRACK MY GAS USAGE VIA MILEAGE BUT THIS IS NOT ACCURATE AND CAUSES ME TO HAVE TO STOP AND PUT GAS IN EVERY OTHER DAY FOR FEAR OF BREAKING DOWN AGAIN WITH MY FOUR YEAR OLD SON IN THE CAR. I HAVE A COUPLE OF FRIENDS THAT ALSO OWN 2005 TRAILBLAZERS AND THEY ARE ALSO HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE FOUND NUMEROUS ONLINE FORUMS DISCUSSING THIS AN I AM SURPRISED CHEVROLET HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL. IF THEY HAVE, I HAVE NEVER BEEN NOTIFIED. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE AND CHEVROLET SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE AND RESOLVE THIS BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY HURT BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM. *TR

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER, BATTERY AND TEMPERATURE GAUGES WERE PROVIDING ERRONEOUS READINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 63,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAIL BLAZER. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 65 MPH WHEN SHE NOTICED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER WAS PROVIDING AN INACCURATE READING OF 100 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BUT PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 82,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
ON DECEMBER 21, 2011 MY FUEL HAD A HALF TANK OF GAS. I WENT INTO THE STORE AND CAME OUT MY FUEL REGISTERED EMPTY LIGHT CAME ON. I RUSHED TO THE GAS STATION TO PUT MORE GAS IN AND THOUGHT SOME ONE STOLE MY GAS OUT OF MY TANK. THIS HAPPENED WITH THE AMOUNT OF FUEL IN MY TANK NOT REGISTERING FOUR TIMES SINCE THE FIRST INCIDENT. THAN ON JANUARY 01, 2012 MY FRONT WIND SHIELD WIPERS WILL NOT STOP. WHEN I TURN OFF THE VEHICLE THEY STOP, WHEN I TURN ON THE VEHICLE THEY CONTINUE TO WIPE MY WINDOWS UNTIL I TURN MY VEHICLE OFF. *TR
THE TRAILBLAZER STALLED WHILE IN TRAFFIC. THE CAR'S GAS GAUGE DID NOT REPORT THE CORRECT AMOUNT OF FUEL IN THE TANK. THE GAUGE WENT OUT PERMANENTLY A SHORT TIME LATER. *TR
THE GAS GAUGE NO LONGER WORKS. I FILLED MY SUV UP WITH GAS, THE GAUGE READS EMPTY. WHILE DRIVING THE GAUGE WILL BOUNCE FROM 1/2 TANK TO FULL TO EMPTY. I NEVER REALLY KNOW HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE OR WHEN I WILL RUN OUT. LOOKING ON THE INTERNET I SEE THAT THIS HAS BEEN A VERY COMMON ISSUE FOR A BUNCH OF PEOPLE. *TR
GAS GAUGE IS READING WRONG. ONCE I FILL UP THE TANK WITH GAS, IT'S READING EMPTY AND THE GAS LIGHT IS ON. IT FLUCTUATES ALL OVER THE PLACE WHILE DRIVING IT. *TR

GAS GAUGE STOPPED WORKING THEN WOULD OPERATE INTERMITTENTLY ALTHOUGH INCORRECTLY. RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR 2005 TRAILBLAZERS. CONTACTED DEALERSHIP AND FOUND THERE IS A SPECIAL "SECRET" POLICY COVERING THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE INCLUDED THE RESPONSE FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT: "I HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A GREAT DAY. I DO SEE THAT YOUR VEHICLE DOES FALL UNDER THE SPECIAL POLICY 10054 WHICH EXTENDS THE WARRANTY WITH A 50/50 SPLIT UNTIL 3/30/2016 OR 120,000 MILES ON THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR. IF THE ISSUE YOU ARE EXPERIENCING IS BEING CAUSED BY THE SENSOR GM WOULD PAY FOR HALF THE REPAIR AND YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OTHER 50% OF THE COST WHICH YOUR PORTION WOULD BE AROUND $200-$250.00. WE WOULD HAVE TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE FIRST BUT IF THE CAUSE IS THE SENSOR COVERED BY THE SPECIAL POLICY YOU WOULD ONLY OWE THE AFOREMENTIONED 50% OF THE REPAIR. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SET AN APPOINTMENT YOU CAN EITHER REPLY TO THIS EMAIL OR CALL US DIRECT AT 414-425-7180. SPEEDOMETER NOT WORKING GETS STUCK. *TR
THE SPEEDOMETER IN MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHOWS OVER 120 MPH NO MATTER WHAT SPEED I AM TRAVELING. I HAVE FOUND THIS TO BE A COMMON COMPLAINT. THE FUEL GAUGE IS ALSO VERY INACCURATE NEVER SHOWING MORE THAN 1/4 TANK OF FUEL REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH I PUT IN. *KB
FUEL GAUGE WILL READ WRONG. THE GAUGE WILL SUDDENLY DROP DOWN TO EMPTY AND THEN WILL SLOWLY START TO RISE BACK UP AFTER SITTING ON EMPTY FOR A WHILE. ALSO MY VEHICLE WILL JUST STALL OUT AT RED LIGHTS OR WHEN I AM STOPPED IN TRAFFIC. I WILL HAVE TO PUT MY CAR INTO PARK AND RESTART IT QUITE OFTEN. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A MAJOR PROBLEM AND THERE SHOULD BE SOME RECALLS ON THIS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE READ OF PEOPLES CARS STALLING OUT WHILE THEY ARE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND AM PERSONALLY SCARED OF THIS HAPPENING TO ME WHILE I AM TRANSPORTING MY CHILDREN AROUND. *TR
GAS GAUGE WENT TO EMPTY WHILE TRAVELING DOWN A STEEPER HILL. LOW FUEL LIGHT CAME ON AS WELL, EVEN THOUGH THE GAUGE HAD BEEN READING APPROX. 1/4 TANK REMAINING. STOPPED AND FILLED THE TANK BUT GAUGE DID NOT MOVE FROM EMPTY AND FUEL LIGHT STAYED ON EVEN WITH A FULL TANK OF GAS. NO LONGER ABLE TO GAUGE FUEL LEVELS AND HAVE TO TRACK IT USING TRIP MILEAGE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE MULTI-FUNCTION UNIT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000. ..UPDATED 12/19/12 *BF .
THE SPEEDOMETER AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT WILL GO HAYWIRE. WILL READ OVER OR UNDER WHAT SPEED YOU ARE ACTUALLY DRIVING. THIS IS CAUSED BY A FAULTY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. SAFETY CONCERN IS THAT YOU DO NOT NOTICE RIGHT AWAY THAT THE SPEEDOMETER IS OUT OF WHACK SO YOU DON'T KNOW HOW FAST YOU ARE ACTUALLY GOING, LEAVING YOU VULNERABLE TO DRIVING TOO FAST FOR ROAD CONDITIONS AND POTENTIALLY CAUSING A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM IN THE 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER AND GM WILL DO NOTHING TO REPAIR THIS. *KB
AT APPROXIMATELY 11:00 AM JUST AFTER PARKING THE VEHICLE IN AN INCLINED HOME DRIVEWAY AND AFTER TURNING THE ENGINE OFF FOR 2-3 MINUTES AND WITH THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IN THE PARK POSITION, THE VEHICLE ON ITS OWN STARTED TO ROLL DOWN THE CONCRETE DRIVEWAY AND INTO THE RESIDENTIAL STREET. NO ONE WAS INJURED OR RUN OVER, THOUGH THE POTENTIAL WAS GREAT SINCE MY WIFE AND I WERE BOTH UNLOADING THE CAR FROM THE REAR SIDE DOORS AND THE TAILGATE, BUT WE WERE NEITHER IN THE DOORWAYS OR BEHIND THE VEHICLE. APPARENTLY THE PARK TRANSMISSION LOCK FAILED OR BECAME DISENGAGED - A SERIOUS DEFECT. THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. I RESTARTED THE CAR AND HAVE DRIVEN IT OVER 100 MILES WITHOUT INCIDENT SINCE YESTERDAY. I HAVE USED THE PARK POSITION WITHOUT INCIDENT SINCE THAT TIME, THOUGH I HAVE NOT PARKED THE VEHICLE ON AN INCLINED SURFACE.
HEATER, DEFROST DOES NOT WORK. BLOWER WILL NOT BLOW. ALL COMPONENTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. *TR
BLOWER FAN STAYS ON CONSTANTLY EVEN WHEN IS CUT OFF. ONLY WAY TO CUT OFF FAN IS TO PULL OUT MODULE IN FUSE BOX UNDER HOOD.:( *TR
DRIVING DOWN MAIN ROAD IN TOWN AND THE VEHICLE JUST STOPPED RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LANE - NO WARNING OR ANYTHING. WE WERE ALMOST REAR ENDED. I HAD MY 3 CHILDREN WITH ME AND HAD TO PUSH THE VEHICLE UP THE ROAD TO THE NEAREST TURN IN AND CALL MY HUSBAND FOR HELP. I CONTACT CHEVROLET AND WAS TOLD THAT SINCE I WAS NOT THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THE VEHICLE THAT THEY WOULD ONLY COVER 1/2 OF THE COST TO REPAIR THE FUEL GAUGE PROBLEM AND THEY COULD NOT GUARANTEE IT WOULD NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. I TOLD THEM THAT I PAID MY 1/2 WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. I'VE BEEN FIGHTING THIS FOR 3 YEARS WITH NO AVAIL. I HOPE YOUR AGENCY CAN HELP. *TR

I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70MPH WHEN MY ENGINE SUDDENLY CUT. I LOST POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. LUCKILY, TRAFFIC WAS CLEAR ENOUGH AND AN EXIT RAMP WAS ACCESSIBLE; HOWEVER, I HAD A VERY DIFFICULT TIME STEERING TO THE SIDE AND THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BE UNABLE TO BRAKE. I WAS STRANDED ON THE OFF RAMP FOR HOURS BY MYSELF IN 40 DEGREE WEATHER AND NO HEAT. MY GAS GAUGE HAS NOT WORKED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS (SEE MY FIRST COMPLAINT 10408603). I HAVE BEEN GUESSING AT AMOUNT OF FUEL BY MILES DRIVEN. I SHOULD HAVE HAD AT LEAST 30 MILES MORE OF GAS. OBVIOUSLY, THIS IS NOT A SAFE WAY TO GAUGE FUEL LEVEL. IT WILL COST $600 TO HAVE THE FUEL SYSTEM FIXED. BECAUSE THIS IS AN OBVIOUS PROBLEM WITH TRAILBLAZERS, I FEEL THE COMPANY SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 35 MPH WHEN THE ABS WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE BRAKES MALFUNCTIONED. THE CONTACT HAD TO PUMP THE BRAKES AND SHIFT THE VEHICLE INTO A LOWER GEAR TO SLOW THE VEHICLE DOWN. THERE WAS ALSO AN ABNORMAL INCREASE IN STOPPING DISTANCE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER WHERE THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AS HAVING A FAULTY ABS MODULE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE ABS MODULE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
THE FUEL GAUGE REGISTERS EMPTY WHEN THE TANK HAS JUST BEEN FILLED. IT NEVER RECOVERS TO AN ACCURATE READING AND HAS NEVER SINCE THIS INCIDENT INITIALLY OCCURED. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE MALFUNCTIONED DUE TO A FAULTY FUEL SENSOR AND THE CONTACT WAS NOT ABLE TO READ THE CORRECT FUEL LEVELS IN THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND OFFERED TO COVER FIFTY PERCENT OF THE REPAIR COSTS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
MY 2005 TRAILBLAZER HAS BEGUN TO HAVE SEVERAL PROBLEMS AND IN SPEAKING TO OTHER CHEVY OWNERS THE SAME PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN FOUND IN OTHER MODELS AND YEARS OF CHEVY TRUCKS AND SUVS. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED TO SEE THAT CHEVY CHOOSES NOT TO RECALL, WHICH IS WHY I'LL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER CHEVROLET. BEGINNING A FEW MONTHS AGO MY GAUGES BEGAN TO BE ERRATIC. STARTING WITH MY SPEEDOMETER STICKING AT ZERO AND THEN LATER STICKING AT 60MPH EVEN WHILE SITTING STILL. SOMETIMES IT WORKS AND SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T. NEXT WHILE SITTING AT TRAFFICE LIGHTS OR STOPS SIGNS MY ENGINE BEGAN TO SURGE FORWARD WITHOUT APPLYING THE GAS. WHEN THE VEHICLE SURGES THE RPM GAUGE ALSO JUMPS UP. I ALREADY REPLACED ONE TRANSMISSION AT 50K MILES AND NOW SINCE PASSING 100K MILES HAVE BEGUN TO HAVE ROUGH SHIFTING AGAIN IN MY VEHICLE. I DO NOT DRIVE MY VEHICLE IN A ROUGH MANNER, SPEED, OR HAUL A TRAILER, SO THERE IS NO REASON TO BE GOING THROUGH TRANSMISSIONS. NOW MY FUEL GAUGE HAS STOPPED WORKING AND I'M HAVING TO TRACK MY MILEAGE WITH MY ODOMETER. I'VE NEVER SEEN A VEHICLE WITH SO MANY PROBLEMS AND NO HELP OFFERED FROM THE MAKER. * TR
THE SUV WAS GOING ABOUT 40 MPH WHEN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL SHOWED 120 MPH ... IT WILL NOT GO BACK TO NORMALL ... IT DOES NOW SHOW 100MPH EVEN WITH THE CAR OFF. *TT
WAS DRIVING OTHER DAY AND LOOKED DOWN AT MY SPEEDOMETER AND IT SAID I WAS DOING 70MPH, AND I THOUGHT WELL MAYBE THE WIND WAS BEHIND ME. THIS IS MY FIRST CHEVY THAT I GOT FOR MY BIRTHDAY LAST YEAR WELL IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN A YEAR SINCE I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE WORSE BIRTHDAY GIFT (TO MYSELF) EVER. WHY ARE ALL THE OTHER 2005 MODEL VEHICLES BEING RECALLED FOR THESE THINGS BUT NOT THE TRAILBLAZER? THIS IS NOT MY FAULT AND GM SHOULD MAKE IT RIGHT. *TR
MY GAS GAUGE SUDDENLY DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. EVEN IF I KNOW THE TANK IS FULL WHEN I FIRST START THE ENGINE THE FUEL LIGHT GOES ON AND GIVE THE AUDIBLE SIGNAL THAT IT'S LOW ON FUEL. AS I BEGIN TO DRIVE THE GAUGE WILL EVENTUALLY MOVE A LITTLE BIT SO THE LIGHT WILL GO OFF. I HAVE A FULL TANK TODAY AND AFTER DRIVING ONLY 13 MILES IT REGISTERS LESS THAT HALF A TANK. I GOT A LETTER FROM GM ACKNOWLEDGING THAT THIS PROBLEM PERSISTS BUT WILL ONLY OFFER TO PAY FOR HALF OF THE REPAIR??? WHAT? DIDN'T WE JUST BAIL THEM OUT? "TOO BIG TO FAIL"??? SPEEDOMETER JUMPS TO DIFFERENT SPEEDS . WHEN YOU SHUT OFF THE TRUCK IT WILL STAY STUCK 110MPH, OR WHEN YOU RESTART THE CAR IT WILL JUST JUMP DOWN A LITTLE 100MPH. OTHER CHEVY MODELS HAVE HAD RECALLS ON THE SAME PROBLEM BUT NOT CHEVY TRAILBLAZER? WHY *TR
WE RAN OUT OF GAS ON THE HIGHWAY 20 MILES FROM A GAS STATION WITH KIDS IN THE CAR. THE GAS GAUGE IN OUR 05 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WAS WRONG AND INDICATED WE HAD GAS IN THE TANK. *KB
I HAVE A 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER THE GAS GAUGE HAS STOPPED WORKING. IT IS ALWAYS ON EMPTY EVEN WHEN I FILL IT UP. I RECEIVED A LETTER THAT GM WOULD PAY FOR HALF ONLY IF IT HAD LESS THAN 100,000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE SEEN THIS IS A CONSTANT PROBLEM BUT STILL NO RECALL. *TR
MY GAS GAUGE LIGHT CAME ON TODAY RIGHT AFTER I FILLED MY TANK AND FUEL SHOWS EMPTY. LIGHT WENT OFF AND FUEL GAUGE MOVED TO HALF MARK, THEN LIGHT CAME BACK ON AND WENT BACK TO SHOW EMPTY. I RESEARCHED AND FOUND OUT THAT OVER 895,000 OWNERS HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND OVER 600 HAVE REPORTED IT TO THE NHTSA. I HAVE NOT HAD AN ACCIDENT, BUT HAVE READ REVIEWS OF MANY THAT HAVE DUE TO THIS PROBLEM. MANY HAVE ASKED TO RECALL THIS PROBLEM AND I AGREE DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF VEHICLES THIS HAS HAPPENED TO, INCLUDING MINE. SOME FIXED IT AND THE SAME PROBLEM RECURRED THE NEXT YEAR. MY EXTENDED WARRANTY ENDED IN JUNE SO I'M NOT COVERED AND THE COST IS VERY HIGH. PLEASE MAKE THIS A RECALL SO WE ALL CAN FIX THIS PROBLEM AND NOT GO BROKE. THE DEALER SHOULD FACE UP AND TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX THE FUEL GAUGE PROBLEM BY RECALLING THIS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS IN A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. *TR
