Rear frame rail rust through at control arm mount locations on both driver and passenger side. In addition frame from suspension mount forward approx 2feet rust through. Vehicle was kept washed and has no other rust issues except for frame. I’ve learned that this was an issue from 2003 to 2008 model years. This issue has been checked and verified thru a reputable garage
MY GAS GAUGE READS EMPTY ALL THE TIME EVEN AFTER A FILL UP. IT NEVER MOVES. ALSO I HAVE REPLACED SHOCKS AND STRUTS ALL THE WAY AROUND THE VEHICAL BUT EVERY TIME YOU HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD IT SHAKES YOU FROM SIDE TO SIDE REALLY HARD.
I FILLED UP MY CAR AND THE FUEL INDICATOR WENT TO EMPTY. NOW, SOMETIMES IT REGISTERS SOME FUEL BUT NOT WHERE IT SHOULD BE. IT USUALLY STAYS ON E. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH FUEL YOU HAVE. AFTER READING THE COMPLAINTS SEEMS THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH MOST TRAILBLAZERS. THE WHEEL HUBS AND BEARINGS HAVE ALSO WENT GONE SINCE THIS HAPPENED THE PARTS PLACE SAYS THIS IS ALSO A PROBLEM WITH TRAILBLAZERS. *TR
I TOOK A LEFT TURN WITH MY 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT. AND FISHTAILED ON SOME ICE AND MY SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. I HAVE READ SEVERAL OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ON THE INTERNET AND GM HAS TOLD THOSE PEOPLE THAT THE BLACK BOX SAID THAT THE AIRBAG SYSTEM ANTICIPATED A ROLLOVER AND THEY HAVE NOT PAID TO HAVE THE DAMAGE FIXED. I HAVE TOLD GM THIS HAS HAPPENED AND AM WAITING TO HEAR BACK FROM THEM BUT AM EXPECTING THE SAME VERDICT THAT EVERYONE ELSE HAS RECEIVED. I DON'T SEE HOW FISHTAILING ON WET PAVEMENT, ICE, OR IN SOME INSTANCES OR AROUND SOMETHING CAN CAUSE AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY. I HAVE AIRBAGS THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED, THE INTERIOR ROOF NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, AND THE SEAT BELTS ARE ALL LOCKED UP AND CAN'T BE USED. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER LT, AND I HAVE NOTICED THIS STRANGE SOUND LATELY WHEN I START IT UP AND IT GETS LOUDER AS YOU DRIVE IT. MY FATHER SAID THAT IT IS THE BEARINGS AND THE ALTERNATOR, SO I DECIDED TO LOOK IT UP ON THE INTERNET AND SAW MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE WITH THIS PARTICULAR MODEL. I WAS TOLD TO FILE A COMPLAINT ON A SITE, AND WAS DIRECTED BY MANY OTHERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE. I AM NOT HAPPY, AND I STILL OWE ON THIS VEHICLE AND THE WARRANTY IS CONVENIENTLY UP JUST AS THIS IS HAPPENING. I WANT THIS CORRECT, AND SOMEONE CONTACTED GM AND THEY STATED THAT THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE PUMP AND THE ELECTRICAL, WELL THEN THEY NEED TO RECALL THIS VEHICLE AND FIX IT FOR FREE. *TR
TWO TIRES FAILED WITHIN A WEEK WITH SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES. THE FIRST TIRE FAILURE WAS LESS DRAMATIC THAN THE SECOND DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT OCCURRED AT NIGHT WHEN TEMPERATURES WERE COOLER AND VEHICLE STOPS WERE MORE FREQUENT. THE SECOND FAILURE WAS CATASTROPHIC. THE SIDEWALLS COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM THE TREAD ON A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY. AFTER THE FIRST TIRE FAILURE I HAD THE TIRES ALIGNED, BALANCED AND PRESSURE CHECKED BY A GM TECHNICIAN. THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE GM DEALER CLEARLY TOLD ME THAT THE TWO REMAINING TIRES WERE IN GOOD SHAPE AND HAD SEVERAL THOUSAND MILES ON THEM BEFORE I HAD TO WORRY ABOUT CHANGING THEM. FOUR DAYS LATER THE TIRE FAILED COMPLETELY. AFTER THE INCIDENT I CALLED BACK TO THE GM DEALER TO VERIFY THEIR PROCESS FOR TIRE ALIGNMENT. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE TIRES WERE INDEED VERIFIED TO BE AT 35PSI, THE FACTORY RECOMMENDED LEVEL. I RETAINED THE FAILED TIRE FOR FUTURE USE. THE TIRES WERE CONTINENTAL CONTI-TRAC P245/65/R17 WITH A DOT NUMBER OF HW8T BL5 0305. A SIMILAR REPORT HAS BEEN FILED WITH THE NHTSA. *TR
PURCHASED 2005 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS OCT.28 06. SINCE THEN, TO DATE, VEH. HAS BEEN IN SHOP (DEALERSHIP 4X). 1. BRAKE REPAIR. ALL 4 CALIPERS WERE REPLACED. THIS VEHICLE HAD ONLY 22,000. MILES. IN SHOP VERY 1ST WEEK OF PURCHASE. 2. BEEN COMPLAINING OF FLICKERING LIGHTS. WAS HANDED A GMC PRINTOUT STATING THEY DID NOT KNOW CAUSE. SO THEREFORE THE DEALERSHIP, HOOD CHEVROLET, COVINGTON LA. COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. 3. COMPLAINED OF ENGINE ACCELERATION WHILE APPLYING BRAKE, COMING TO A STOP OR A SLOW SPEED IN A PARKING LOT. FEAR THAT I MAY CRASH INTO SOMEONE. RECEIVED PRINTOUT FROM GM STATING THIS WAS NORMAL. BUT I SEE THIS IS A HAZARD. 4. COMPLAINED OF SEAT BELT "RIDING" ON THE NECKLINE, RESTRICTING BLOOD FLOW IN LEFT ARTERY ON NECK. I SEE THIS A MAJOR PROBLEM. I COMMUTE 26 MILES ONE WAY TO WORK AT A HOSPITAL. I THOUGHT I WOULD BE SAFER DRIVING MY TRAILBLAZER, NOW I FEAR FOR MY LIFE. 5. COMPLAINED OF POPPING ON FRONT END. SERVICE HAD TO ORDER SWAY LINKS AND REPLACE. DID NOT SOLVE PROBLEM, STILL HAVE FRONTAL POPPING WHILE TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT, REVERSE AND FORWARD. IT IS PROGRESSIVELY GETTING WORSE. FOUND OUT GM CERTIFIED TECH. DID NOT PROPERLY ALIGN CALIBERS WHEN INSTALLED. I HAVE PAID TO MUCH FOR THIS $23,000. LEMON. ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN. SARAH DYKES, BOGALUSA LOUISIANA. *NM
