FUEL GAUGE IN 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON HIGHWAY. WAS STRANDED ON HIGHWAY UNTIL HELP ARRIVED WITH FUEL TO REFILL VEHICLE. NOW FUEL GAUGE IN TRAILBLAZER SHOWS EMPTY AT ALL TIMES EVEN AFTER A FILL UP. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO CORRECT THE FAILURE DUE TO CAR JUST BEING OUT OF WARRANTY AND HIGH PRICE OF FIX. CURRENTLY HAVE TO GUESS ON FUEL LEVELS BY KEEPING TRACK OF MILEAGE. *KB
FUEL SENDING UNIT BEGAN SENDING INTERMITTENT FALSE READINGS, RESULTING IN RUNNING OUT OF GAS MID-INTERSECTION, WHILE ON FREEWAYS WHERE THE LOSS OF SPEED MIGHT RESULT IN AN OBSTRUCTION OF TRAFFIC, IN MID-ACCELERATION WHERE THE LOSS OF ACCELERATION MIGHT RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE DANGER TO THE OCCUPANTS AND SURROUNDING VEHICLES, OR WHILE DRIVING WHILE GAUGE INDICATOR INDICATED THE AVAILABILITY OF FUEL WITHIN THE SYSTEM TO PERFORM COMBUSTION. *TR
FUEL SENSOR DIED ON 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. *TR
THE AIR CONDITIONING ON MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT STOPPED WORKING. THE PROBLEM WAS THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR MODULE AND RESISTOR MODULE CONNECTOR. THE PARTS HAD MELTED TOGETHER, CAUSING THE WIRES TO BECOME LOOSE AT THE CONNECTION. APPARENTLY THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH MY CHEVY MODEL. THERE ARE MANY ONLINE POSTINGS INDICATING THAT THE PROBLEM COULD CAUSE A FIRE. CHEVROLET COMPANY REFUSED TO EVEN LOOK AT MY VEHICLE UNTIL I PAID A $110.00 DIAGNOSTIC FEE. THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN IMMEDIATELY KNEW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND EXPLAINED THAT IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH MY MODEL AND THE TAHOE. THE GAS GAUGE ALSO STOPPED WORKING RECENTLY WHICH I WAS TOLD BY THE TECHNICIAN THAT IT TOO WAS A COMMON PROBLEM. THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON THESE PARTS AS WELL AS THE BRAKE LIGHT CIRCUIT BOARDS, WHICH ALSO WENT OUT ON MY VEHICLE. THE TECHNICIAN ONCE AGAIN SAID THAT IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM. THESE PARTS SEEM TO BE FAILING SHORTLY AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRES. THERE ARE MANY ISSUES WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IN THIS VEHICLE. THE PROBLEMS ARE HAZARDOUS SAFETY ISSUES AND ARE KNOWN TO THE CHEVROLET CORPORATION. I WAS ABLE TO FIND THE PARTS AT NEARLY 80% CHEAPER THAN WHAT THE DEALER WANTED TO CHARGE ME, NOT INCLUDING THE LABOR AND DIAGNOSTIC FEE. SAFETY RECALLS ON THESE PARTS SHOULD BE ISSUED. *TR
I OWN A 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER AND THE GAS GAUGE HAS STOPPED WORKING. APPARENTLY CHEVY IS AWARE OF THIS AND IT SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING TO A LOT OF VEHICLES IN 2005-2006 YEARS. AT THE DEALERSHIP THEY TOLD ME THEY HAVE REPAIRED MANY AND IT WOULD COST ABOUT $800. IF THEY KNOW THE SENSOR GOES BAD AND HAVE REPAIRED IT SEVERAL TIMES - IS IT NOT A VALID RECALL PROBLEM? IF YOU GOOGLE THE PROBLEM YOU CAN SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I AM GOING TO WATCH THE MILEAGE FOR NOW AND DO FILL UPS AS NEEDED BY MILEAGE. I AM NOT IN A POSITION TO PUT OUT THAT KIND OF MONEY FOR A WELL RECOGNIZED PROBLEM. I TRAVEL THE COUNTRY BY VEHICLE AND NEED TO HAVE A DEPENDABLE VEHICLE. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE 5 MONTHS AGO AND OF COURSE IT STARTED RIGHT AFTER MY WARRANTY WAS THROUGH. OF COURSE, I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THAT IS WHEN THEY INFORMED THAT IT HAPPENS QUITE FREQUENTLY AND THAT THE GAS TANK HAS TO BE DROPPED AND THE SENSOR REPLACED - TIMELY AND COSTLY. *TR
I'VE HAD MY TRAILBLAZER FOR TWO YEARS NOW ABOUT 4/2010 THE WINDOWS WOULD GO UP AND DOWN ON THEIR OWN AND THE POWER LOCK STOPPED WORKING SO CHEVY REPLACED THE MAIN CONTROL SWITCH THEN ABOUT 6/2011 I HAD TO REPLACE THE WHEEL BEARINGS AND THE SENSOR TWICE AND ABOUT 01/2012 THE WIPERS AND WASHER FLUID WOULDN'T SHUT OFF GOT A NEW WIPER MOTOR PUT IN AND NOW THE TRUCK HAS BEEN SITTING SINCE 4/2012 HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED FROM ALBANY BECAUSE THE TRUCK JUST ALL OF A SUDDEN SLOWED DOWN EVEN WITH MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL AND NOW I HAVE TEN DIFFERENT CODES THAT CAME UP TWO FOR THE CAMSHAFT SENSOR AND SOLENOID THE KNOCK SENSOR THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR AND A FEW OTHER ONES... WE CALLED CHEVROLET AND THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON NOR WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. *TR
GAS GAUGE SHOWS ON EMPTY EVEN WHEN FULL ON A 2006 TRAIL BLAZER TOOK TO DEALER WOULD NOT FIX COUSE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED ONLY HAVE 37,000 MILES. RAN OUT OF GAS IN FREEWAY ALMOST GOT HIT TRYING TO PULL TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER. *TR
I HEREWITH REQUEST THAT NHTSA OPENS AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE PERFORMANCE/RELIABILITY OF THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR INSTALLED IN MODEL YEAR 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER VEHICLES. IN CASE THE FUEL TANK LEVEL SENSOR IS OR BECOMES DEFECTIVE IT COULD RESULT IN A SUBJECT VEHICLE RUNNING OUT OF FUEL, STALL, AND BEING REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CURRENTLY OWNED CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER 2006 HAS ALREADY THE THIRD FUEL SENSOR. THE FIRST REPLACEMENT TOOK PLACE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS 6 MONTHS OLD, THE SECOND REPLACEMENT TOOK PLACE IN SPRING 2010. GM CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE CHEVROLET REPAIR SHOP DENIED A MALFUNCTION OF THE INVOLVED FUEL SENSOR. I AM STILL IN POSSESSION OF THE THIRD (OLD) SENSOR. COMPLAINTS TO ADELCO, THE SUPPLIER OF THE FUEL SENSOR DID NOT LEAD TO AN RESULT EITHER. NEVER RECEIVED A SATISFYING ANSWER FROM GM NOR FROM ADELCO. IN THE INTERNET I FOUND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER TRAILBLAZER OWNERS REGARDING THE FUEL SENSOR. SINCE MY VEHICLE HAS THE FOURTH FUEL SENSOR I DO HAVE PROBLEMS AGAIN (FUEL CAP NOT PROPERLY CLOSED WARNING LIGHT COMES ON SOMETIMES, ENGINE/EMISSION FAILURE LIGHT COMES ON SOMETIMES). GM CUSTOMER SERVICE IN DETROIT TOLD ME TO GO TOMY LOCAL CHEVY DEALER AND ASK THEM TO REVIEW THE PROBLEM AND ESTIMATE THE COST. I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD AFTERWARDS MAKE A DECISION TO REIMBURSE ME FOR THE COST. AFTER THE REPAIR SERVICE GM AND THE DEALER DECLINED THE REIMBURSEMENT REQUEST AND CLAIMED THE PART FAILED BECAUSE OF THE HIGH MILEAGE. THE REPLACED SENSOR WAS FOR ONLY 40000 MILES IN THE VEHICLE. THE SECOND FUEL SENSOR WAS INSTALLED BEFORE I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM A GM DEALER (WAS NEVER TOLD ABOUT THAT PROBLEM). *TR
2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. I HAVE BEEN TOLD SEVERAL TIME BY THE MECHANIC AT CHEVY THAT THE IDLER PULLEY IS CONSTANTLY A PROBLEM. *TR
I HAVE A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS. THE GAS GAUGE STOPPED WORKING OVER A YEAR AGO. AFTER CHECKING WITH THE CHEVROLET DEALER, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON, WELL KNOWN PROBLEM. GM NEEDS TO RECALL THESE VEHICLES AND FIX THIS PROBLEM. *KB

I PURCHASED A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER BACK IN OCT 2009, WITHIN THE PAST 3 MONTHS I HAVE NOW HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE FUEL LEVER SENSOR. MY GAS GAUGE WILL REMAIN ON EMPTY EVEN AFTER I FILL UP THE TANK AND CAUSES THE ENGINE LIGHT TO STAY ON. I HAVE RESEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND THAT IT IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH MY VEHICLE HOWEVER NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED. I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN WHO ARE IN MY CAR MOST OF THE TIME. I AM VERY AFRAID THAT I WILL RUN OUT OF GAS AND STALL ON THE FREEWAY. THIS CAN CAUSE A HUGE ACCIDENT IF I STALL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY GOING 65 MPH. I HAVE BEEN TRACKING THE MILEAGE ON MY OWN BUT IT IS VERY HARD TO BE ACCURATE AS TO HOW MUCH GAS IS REALLY LEFT. *TR

GAS GAUGE READS EMPTY, EVEN AFTER I FILL IT UP. CAUSE ME TO RUN OUT GAS TWICE, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD!!
3 WEEKS AGO, PER THE FUEL GUAGE HAD 1/4 TANK, NO 'LOW FUEL' LIGHT INDICATOR. HOWEVER, MY VEHICLE RAN OUT OF GAS, LEAVING ME TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD ON A CORNER. I WAS STRANDED. I HAVE NOT LET THE TANK GET THAT LOW SINCE, OUT OF FEAR THE GUAGE WAS NOT READING IT PROPERLY. LAST NIGHT, I FILLED THE VEHICLE. APPORXIMATELY A MILE FROM THE GAS STATION, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON & THE GUAGE REGISTERED EMPTY WITH THE LIGHT INDICATOR. DURING MY 10 MINUTE DRIVE IT CONTINUED TO FLUCTUATE BETWEEN EMPTY & FULL. I AM AFFRAID OF THE VEHICLE CUTTING OUT AGAIN WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC OR MANUEVERING THROUGH CORNERS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS.
FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT RANDOMLY REPORTS FUEL LEVELS FROM FULL TO EMPTY, OR DOES NOT WORK AT ALL.
ON MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT, THE GAS GAUGE HAS BEGUN TO WORK ERRATICALLY. IT HAS JUST LESS THAN 40,000 MILES ON IT AND IS OUT OF WARRANTY. IN SEARCHING THE INTERNET, IT APPEARS THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WITH THIS ISSUE. *TR
MY FUEL LEVEL SENSOR WAS REPLACEMENT INTERNET SHOWING DEFECTS WITH PART ON THE TRAILBLAZER AND GM IS NOT DOING A RECALL BUT THEY KNOW THIS IS A DEFECT. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE ADDING GASOLINE TO THE VEHICLE, THE FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR WOULD NOT MOVE FROM THE EMPTY POSITION. IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE CONTACT STATED THE FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR CONTINUED TO READ INACCURATE FUEL LEVELS. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,871 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 30,500.
THE GAS GAUGE ON MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER READ INCORRECTLY. THE PROBLEM JUST STARTED HAPPENING. THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN LIKE NORMAL AND NO WORK HAD BEEN DONE ON THE CAR. THE PROBLEM IS STILL OCCURING BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE THE $800 DOLLARS I WAS TOLD IT WOULD TAKE TO FIX THE PROBLEM OTHER PROBEM WAS NOTICED IN DECEMBER OF 2010. THE HEATER STOPPED WORKING. PRIOR TO THE HEATER STOP WORKING THE BLOWER STOPPED WORKING ON 5 THEN STOPPED WORKING ON 4 THEN IT JUST COMPLETLY STOPPED WORKING. I PULLED THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR OUT OF THE CARR AND NOTICED THAT THE CONNECTOR TO THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR PACK WAS MELTED TO THE CONNECTOR. I REMOVED SOME OF THE MELTED PLASTIC AND TRIED THE HEATER AGAIN AND ONE OF THE WIRES WAS GLOWING ORANGE WHEN THE HEATER WAS RUNNING. I REPLACED THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR AND MELTED CONNECTOR. ON APRIL 22, 2011 SPEED 5 ON THE BLOWER STOPPED WORKING. I PULLED THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR ON APRIL 27 2010. I NOTICED THE SAME PROBLEM WAS STARTING TO OCCUR AGAIN. THE TWO OF THE WIRES LEADING INTO THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR WERE MELTED TOGETHER. THIS CAR IS NOT DIVEN VERY FAR, PUTTING LESS THAN 5,000 MILES A YEAR ON IT. IS THE MELTING WIRES A PROBLEM THAT I SHOULD WORRY ABOUT? IS THIS CAR SAFE TO LET MY WIFE DRIVE WITH THE KIDS IN THE BACK? *TR
I HAVE 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE FUEL GAUGE. I LOOK UP INFO ON LINE AND I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS KIND OF PROBLEM ON CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. EVEN WHEN I FILL UP ON GAS IT STILL READS EMPTY. EVERYONE THAT HAS THIS PROBLEM SAID IT HAPPENS WHEN YOU REACH 40,000 MLIES. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS.
BOUGHT 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER EXT USED FROM THE DEALER IN 2009 FOR COMMUTE TO AND FROM WORK. UPON REACHING 63,000 MILES BEGAN TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH FUEL GAUGE READING HALF FULL THEM EMPTY EVEN AFTER JUST HAVING FILLED UP THE TANK AT THE STATION. AS A RESULT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ACTIVATED AND WHEN IT CAME TIME TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE NO ONE AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIPS WERE WILLING TO DROP THE GAS TANK AND FIX THE PROBLEM SO I COULD PASS INSPECTION. PENNA STATE EMISSIONS WOULD NOT PASS THE VEHICLE UNTIL THE FUEL SYSTEM WAS REPAIRED, HENCE CANNOT PASS INSPECTION. I WILL NO LONGER USE THE VEHICLE ON LONG TRIPS WHERE I HAVE TO GUESS HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE IN THE TANK, OR TAKE IT ON BUSY HIGHWAYS LIKE 95 OR 83 NEAR WASHINGTON CLOSE TO WHERE I LIVE. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION SEEMS TO BE CONSISENT WITH THIS MODEL YEAR. WHILE I WAS WILLING AND ABLE TO PAY FOR MY REPAIR THE FIRST TIME, IT IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY TO ACCOUNT FOR A SHODDY PRODUCT. GM HAS ALREADY ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT ME AND COVER 50% OF THE REPAIR VIA MAIL. THIS IS AN INSULT TO MY INTELLIGENCE AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO FORK OVER ONE RED CENT TO GET THIS FIXED GIVEN THE MASSIVE AMOUNT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM ON THE SAME VEHICLE. IGNITION SWITCH ALSO FAILED AT 60,000 MILES. YET ANOTHER ITEM I AM FINDING IS A RECURRING PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL, MAKE AND YEAR. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS WITH THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ON THEY WOULD NOT STOP FUNCTIONING WHEN THEY WERE DEACTIVATED. THE ABS LIGHT WAS ALSO ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
2006 TRAILBLAZER LT, PURCHASED GM CERTIFIED USED, 32,000MILES, AT 39,000 I FILLED THE GAS TANK, RESTARTED MY CAR AND THE GAUGE READ E WHICH CONTINUED UNTIL IT FINALLY GOT TO 3/4. THIS WAS NOT CONTINUOUS DRIVING. OK UNTIL I FILLED IT AGAIN AND I EXPERIENCED THE SAME THING, CALLED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND WAS TOLD THEY COULD FIND NOTHING AND BRING IT IN THE NEXT TIME IT HAPPENS WHICH I PLAN TO DO. FOR NOW I WRITE DOWN THE MILEAGE. MY FEAR WILL THIS PROBLEM OF REGISTERING WRONG MAKE MY CAR THINK IT'S OUT OF GAS ON THE HIGHWAY AND STOP IN TRAFFIC!! *TR
MY 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXT LT HAS A FAULTY FUEL GAUGE. IT WILL READ EMPTY AND THE LOW FUEL LIGHT WILL COME ON, THEN IT WILL GO BACK TO FULL, CONTINUALLY FLUCTUATING BACK AND FORTH. AT FIRST IT WILL SHOW FULL WHEN WE FILL UP, BUT AFTER DRIVING FOR A FEW MINUTES WOULD GO TO EMPTY. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON ALL THE TIME. I AM AFRAID OF STALLING. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE WOULD CONTINUOUSLY READ INACCURATE FUEL LEVELS. ON ONE OCCASION, THE CONTACT RAN OUT OF GASOLINE ,YET THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE DID NOT DISPLAY THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS EMPTY. IN ADDITION, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF GASOLINE, THE HORN WOULD NOT OPERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL SENDING UNIT WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 51,000. UPDATED 11/11/10 *BF UPDATED 11/18/10

THIS IS IN ADDITION TO THE CURRENT INVESTIGATION REGARDING THE 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER FUEL SYSTEM. ON A DAILY BASIS MY FUEL GAUGE MOVES FROM FULL TO EMPTY AND BACK AND ANYWHERE INBETWEEN. I HAVE TO KEEP TRACK OF THE MILES DRIVEN SO I HAVE AN IDEA WHEN THE TANK NEEDS TO BE REFUELED. GM WANTS UPWARDS OF $1,000 TO FIX THEIR ERROR AND FROM WHAT I HAVE READ ON WEBSITES SUCH AS TOPIX.COM, IT SEEMS THAT AN OVERWHELMING NUMBER OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM, DATING BACK TO 2008. *TR

THE ENGINE SHUT OFF A MONTH AGO BECAUSE THE FUEL TANK WAS EMPTY AND THE FUEL GAUGE DID NOT INDICATE THAT. THE DRIVER DID CONTACT A MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP. A MECHANIC STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS COMMON FOR TRAILBLAZERS AND THE IT WOULD COST BETWEEN $400-$750 TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 81,000.

DEAR SIR/MADAM, FOR SEVERAL DAYS I DO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATOR OF MY CHEVORLET TRAILBLAZER 2006. THE INDICATOR SHOWS FULL AFTER A GAS STATION STOP AND WITHIN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES IT INDICATES EMPTY. SOMETIMES IT BOUNCES UP AND DOWN AND THEN IT GETS STUCK AT EMPTY. IN THE MEANTIME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON PERMANENTLY. THIS IS A VERY FRUSTRATING SITUATION SINCE I TRAVEL A LOT FOR BUSINESS AND PRIVATE WITH MY CAR. I NEVER KNOW WHEN SUFFICIENT GASOLINE IS IN THE TANK AND CONSIDER THIS SITUATION DANGEROUS, THE ENGINE COULD STOP ANY MOMENT AND LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND I FOUND SEVERAL COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER 2006 OWNERS ALL OVER THE INTERNET. IT LOOKS LIKE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL. BACK IN FEBRUARY 2010 THE FUEL GAUGE ON MY GOVERNMENT ISSUED 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER STARTED TO ACT IN A STRANGE WAY. UPON FUELING UP IT WOULD READ FULL, THEN GO TO EMPTY IN A MINUTE, THEN GO BACK TO 1/2 FULL, THEN BACK TO EMPTY AND THEN AFTER 20 MINUTES IT WOULD STAY ON EMPTY FOR A DAY OR SO, THEN GO BACK TO A "NORMAL" READING. DURING THE TIME THIS HAPPENED, AND UNTIL IT WAS REPAIRED AT A GOV AUTHORIZED REPAIR GARAGE, I HAD TO USE APPROXIMATE MILAGE TO CONFIRM HOW MUCH FUEL REMAINED. IT TURNED OUT, ACCORDING TO THE REPAIR FACILITY, THAT A PUMP IN OR AT THE FUEL TANK HAD TO BE REPLACED. HAVE NOT HAD THAT ISSUE SINCE THE REPAIR. REPAIR WAS DONE OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY AND COST $457 ($300 IN LABOR, $157 FOR THE GAUGE UNIT) TO HAVE IT FIXED.
