FUEL / GAS GAUGE READING INACCURATE. USUALLY SHOWS AS EMPTY... BUT CONSTANTLY MOVES FROM FULL TO EMPTY. *TR
1. NOT SURE WHAT CAUSED THE ORIGINAL FAILURE, BUT I WOULD SAY IT STARTED AFTER I FILLED MY CAR WITH GAS 2. IT WAS EVERY TIME I FILLED WITH GAS FOR THE FIRST FEW MONTHS, NOW IT IS CONSTANT AND EVERY TIME MY CAR IS IN MOTION. 3. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM AS THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND COST IS WELL OVER $800, ALSO THEY ARE UNSURE OF THE EXACT PROBLEM. DETAILS: MY FUEL LIGHT ON MY CAR REPORTS THAT THERE IS NO GAS IN THE CAR EVEN AFTER FILLING UP. THE ENGINE LIGHT ALSO COMES ON BECAUSE OF THIS AND CAUSES ISSUES WITH THE CAR. IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THE DEAL SAYS IT IS COULD BE ANY NUMBER OF PROBLEMS WITH THE FUEL SYSTEM THAT WOULD COST OVER $800. IT IS VERY SCARY BECAUSE OF THE WARNINGS THAT COME ON THE CAR. IT STARTED AFTER FILLING WITH GAS AND BEFORE WOULD BE NORMAL AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 20 MILES. NOW IT IS CONSTANT. WHEN I FIRST START THE VEHICLE IT WORKS FINE AND TELLS ME THE RANGE, BUT AS SOON AS THE CAR IS IN MOTION IT GOES BACK TO EMPTY. HAVE REPLACED GAS CAP AND OTHER THINGS AS SUGGESTED, BUT THE PROBLEM IS NOW CONSTANT AND AT TIMES WHILE DRIVING I CAN SMELL GAS VERY STRONG. IT LASTS FOR A ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES AND IS FRIGHTENING, THE DEALERSHIPS SAYS IT COULD BE THE PRESSURE IN THE GAS TANK. IT IS VERY SCARY AND VERY EXPENSIVE FOR AN ISSUE THEY ARE UNSURE OF. I REQUEST YOU INVESTIGATE THIS BECAUSE IT APPEARS TO BE A PROBLEM THAT THE DEALERSHIP KNOWS ABOUT AND REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT UNLESS WE SPEND THE MONEY FOR THEM TO FIX SOMETHING THEY ARE NOT SURE OF AND HAVE BEEN GIVEN ABOUT A 50% CHANCE THE PROBLEM RETURNS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE FUEL GAUGE ON THE INSTRUMENT CONTROL PANEL DISPLAYS INACCURATE READINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. HE WAS ADVISED THAT THE REPAIR COST $900.00, SINCE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000
AFTER CHANGING THE VEHICLE'S BATTERY, THE FUEL SYSTEM, AIR SYSTEM AND 4X4 SYSTEM HAVE ALL FAILED. GMC IS AWARE OF MY ISSUE AND HUNDREDS OF OTHERS. THEY REFUSE TO FIX THIS KNOWN ISSUE, THIS VEHICLE IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. *TR
2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZERS GAS GAUGE FAIL. GAS GAUGE STOPS WORKING AND STAYS ON EMPTY. YOU HAVE TO KEEP UP WITH THE MILES OR SPEND MAJOR MONEY JUST TO HAVE IT WORKED ON. I HAVE RESEARCHED IT AND LOOKS LIKE IT IS A MAJOR PROBLEM. CHEVROLET SEEMS TO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PROBLEM. *TR

2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. GM IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL. WHEN FILL UP VEHICLE IT READS EMPTY AT FIRST AFTER USING SOME GAS IT REGISTERS (IN BEGINNING). NOW IT BARELY WORKS AT ALL. I HAVE TO USE THE TRIP ODOMETER TO MEASURE APPROX GAS REMAINING. *TR
I HAVE A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. EVERY TIME I FILL UP WITH GAS, THE GAS GAUGE FLUCTUATES AND THE EMPTY LIGHT STAYS ON. I HAVE SEARCHED THE INTERNET AND THERE ARE LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WITH THIS PROBLEM. MY TRAILBLAZER HAS ABOUT 75,000 MILES AND IT AND HAS BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM FOR ABOUT A MONTH. GM NEEDS TO FIX THESE FUEL GAUGES, ETC. SINCE IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY! THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING! PLEASE HELP THE CONSUMERS! *TR
THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR WENT OUT AND SAID THERE WAS NO GAS IN THE CAR WHEN THERE WAS WHEN IT WAS STILL PRETTY NEW. SOMETIME DURING THE TRIP, IT WOULD SAY IT WAS FULL WHEN PREVIOUSLY IT SAID IT WAS NEAR EMPTY. UNFORTUNATELY FOR ME I WAS TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE AND I HAD NO IDEA HOW MUCH GAS I HAD OR HOW MUCH TO PUT IN THE CAR. I COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN STRANDED ALONE ON THE INTERSTATE AND PUT IN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I ALSO COULD NOT RENEW MY LICENSE TAG WITHOUT GETTING IT REPAIRED IN THE STATE OF GA. I THOUGHT THE $400 EXPENSE AFTER HAVING A NEW CAR FOR LESS THAN 2 YEARS FOR AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE WAS RIDICULOUSLY UNRELIABLE QUALITY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE FUEL GAUGE DISPLAYS INACCURATE READINGS ON THE INSTRUMENT CONTROL PANEL. USUALLY IT DISPLAYS FUEL WHEN THE FUEL TANK WAS EMPTY. HE WAS ADVISED THAT THE REPAIR COST $600.00. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE. HE HAS NOT BEEN PROVIDED WITH ANY ASSISTANCE BY THE GM MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
MY 2006 TRAILBLAZER LS 4WD GAS GAUGE HAS BEGUN TO MALFUNCTION AFTER JUST 57K MILES. WHEN I FILLED UP THE GAS ON 7/23/2009, THE GAS GAUGE REGISTERED IT TO BE EMPTY AND A WARNING LIGHT APPEARED. *TR
TRANSMISSION COOLING LINES CORRODED AND FAILED CAUSING A CAR FIRE. THE TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKED ON TO THE CATALYTIC CONVERTED IGNITING A FIRE THAT MELTED THE WIRING HARNESS AND ELEMENTS OF THE ELECTRICAL/COMPUTER SYSTEM. *TR
2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER RUNS OUT OF FUEL. THE LOW FUEL LIGHT FAILS TO WORK. THE GAUGE IS OFF SLIGHTLY. VEHICLE HAS 52,000 MILES, THIS FIRST START IN 2009 WITH 42,000 MILES. *TR
I BOUGHT A 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER IN JANUARY 2009. ONCE I REACHED ABOUT 40,000 MILES, I STOPPED TO GET GAS AND AFTER I FILLED UP, MY LIGHT INDICATING I NEEDED GAS CAME ON (IT WAS NOT ON PRIOR TO GETTING GAS). I KNEW I HAD GAS SO I KEPT DRIVING; MY ENGINE LIGHT THEN CAME ON. BOTH OF THEM HAVE NOW BEEN ON FOR OVER A YEAR. IN ORDER TO REPLACE THE SENSOR, I NEED A $500 PART! I KEEP TRACK OF MY MILEAGE AND FILL UP EVERY 250 MILES. LAST WEEK, MY CAR JUST SHUT DOWN, WHILE TRAVELING DOWN A HILL WITH MY TWO CHILDREN, I WAS APPARENTLY OUT OF GAS. WE NEARLY CRASHED INTO MULTIPLE VEHICLES! I HAVE SEEN THAT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF THE SAME PROBLEMS IN THIS VEHICLE AND I BELIEVE IT SHOULD DEFINITELY BE RECALLED. I LEARNED WHAT CAN HAPPEN WHEN SOMEONE THINKS THERE IS GAS IN THE TANK AND THERE IS NOT... I HAD TO TURN ON MY 4 WAYS AND HONK THE HORN BECAUSE I HAD NO BRAKES, NO STEERING, ETC... I HAD TO USE MY EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP AND HAD TO TELL MY 10 YEAR OLD TO HANG ON AND COVER HIS 2 YEAR OLD BROTHER!!! THE FACT THAT CHEVY HAS BEEN MADE AWARE OF THIS AND DONE NOTHING MAKES ME SICK! MY 2006 BRAND NEW CHEVY TRAILBLAZER ODOMETER COMPLETELY FAILED IN 2009. I DID NOT THINK MUCH ABOUT IT UNTIL MY BROTHER, AND SISTER BOTH COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE ON THEIR NEW VEHICLES WHAT MAKES IT SO BAD IS THAT THE GAUGE IS IN THE TANK, AND THE COST TO FIX THE PROBLEM AT THE DEALERSHIP WAS $700. WHEN I SAW THAT AN INVESTIGATION WAS ONGOING, I WANTED TO LOG MY COMPLAINT. THIS CANNOT BE A COINCIDENCE. *TR
ON MY 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER, THE FUEL GAUGE IS NOW STUCK ON EMPTY, EVEN AFTER A TANK FILL-UP. THERE ARE NUMEROUS TRAILBLAZER OWNERS WHO HAVE POSTED IDENTICAL ISSUES ON ONLINE BLOGS. THE DEALERSHIP WILL CHARGE $800 FOR THE REPAIR, WHICH INCLUDES DROPPING THE FUEL TANK. WITH SO MANY INSTANCES OF THIS, GM SHOULD ISSUE A RECALL. IF TRAILBLAZER OWNERS WITH STUCK FUEL GAUGES ARE NOT DILIGENT ON THEIR FUEL USAGE AND DON'T HAVE THE MEANS TO PAY $800 FOR A REPAIR, THEY COULD END UP STUCK SOMEWHERE, OUT OF GAS WHICH IS A SAFETY/LIABILITY ISSUE IN MY VIEW. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, THE BRAKE LIGHT COVER ASSEMBLY ABOVE THE REAR HATCH FRACTURED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE LIGHT COVER ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000.
I LEFT MY WINDOW DOWN ON MY 2006 CHEVY BLAZER. THE DOOR/LOCK CONTROLER GOT WATER IN IT, SHORTED OUT AND STARTED ON FIRE. *TR
IN MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER, THE GAS SENSOR DOES NOT WORK AND CAUSED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON INTERMITTENTLY AS WELL AS CAUSING THE FUEL GAUGE TO REMAIN ON EMPTY REGARDLESS OF THE ACTUAL FUEL LEVEL. I HAVE HAD THE CAR DIAGNOSED AND WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS THE SENSOR IN THE GAS TANK AND THE REPAIR WOULD COST ME $500 TO REPLACE A PART THAT WOULD ULTIMATELY FAIL AGAIN. GM HAS REFUSED TO COVER PARTIAL EXPENSES OF THIS REPAIR EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE AWARE OF SAID PROBLEM. I FIRST NOTIFIED GM ON 6/23/2009 AND THEY HAVE YET TO ISSUE A RECALL. THERE IS CURRENTLY AN OPEN INVESTIGATION :ACTION NUMBER DP10001. *TR

FUEL GAUGE READ EMPTY AFTER FILLING UP THE GAS TANK. CONTINUED TO READ EMPTY WHILE DRIVING. THEN IT READS FULL THEN BACK TO 1/2 TANK . IT READS ALL OVER THE PLACE. SO NOW I HAVE TO GO BY MILEAGE INSTEAD OF THE FUEL GAUGE. MY MILEAGE IS AT 58,000 MILES ON A 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS!!!! WE RAN OUT OF GAS ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, DESPITE THE GAUGE INDICATING FUEL WAS LEFT IN THE TANK. WE DRIFTED TO A STOP ON THE SHOULDER AND I HAD TO OBTAIN FUEL FROM THE NEAREST SERVICE STATION 5 MILES AWAY AND THEN RETURN TO THE VEHICLE, LEAVING MY WIFE AND 3 YOUNG CHILDREN UNATTENDED. AFTERWARD, THE FUEL GAUGE ONLY PERIODICALLY FUNCTIONED FOR THE NEXT 2-3 FILL-UPS AND NOW DOES NOT WORK AT ALL - THE GAUGE CONSTANTLY READS "EMPTY" AND THE FUEL LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON. WE RAN OUT OF GAS ON ONE ADDITIONAL INSTANCE BECAUSE OF THIS MALFUNCTION ON A BUSY FREEWAY OFFRAMP AND NOW MUST CONSTANTLY CAREFULLY CHECK OUR MILEAGE EVERYTIME WE FILL THE TANK. *TR
I HAVE A 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. SINCE MY VEHICLE HIT 69000 MILES MY FUEL GAUGE HAS BECOME INOPERABLE. I HAVE TRIED TO GET IT FIXED BUT IT IS $1300 AND NO GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN SINCE THE PART HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED. IT STALLS ON MANY OCCASIONS AS IF I HAVE NO GAS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHEN THE CONTACT SHUT THE REAR LIFTGATE, THE GLASS EXPLODED AND SHATTERED. HE SUFFERED MINOR INJURIES AND LACERATIONS TO THE HANDS. THE MANUFACTURER REFERRED HIM TO THE LOCAL DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE DEALER WOULD NOT ASSIST OR ASSUME LIABILITY FOR ANY REPAIR COSTS. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO LOCATE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER 070852003, BUT THERE WERE NO RECALLS. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE LESS THAN 60,320.
FUEL GAUGE MALFUNCTIONS. NEEDLE DOES NOT MOVE FROM THE EMPTY POSITION ON A 2006 TRAILBLAZER OCCURRING AT APPROX 52000 MILE READING ON THE ODOMETER. *TR
2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR MALFUNCTION. FUEL GAUGE SHOWS "EMPTY" AND LIGHT APPEARS AND SOUND GOES OFF INDICATING THAT TANK IS EMPTY. DRIVER NEVER KNOWS IF THERE IS FUEL OR NOT WHICH CAN LEAD TO A HIGHWAY BREAKDOWN. THERE IS ONLY 22,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. PROBLEM IS ONGOING. *TR
WAS DRIVING CAR WITH QUARTER TANK OF GAS AND SUDDENLY FUEL GAUGE DROPPED TO EMPTY. FILLED TANK WITH GAS AND GAUGE BEGAN TO FLUCTUATE BETWEEN LEVELS THEN BEGAN TO READ CORRECTLY FOR SEVERAL DAYS. AT A QUARTER TANK IT DROPPED TO EMPTY AGAIN. FILLED WITH GAS AND IS NOW FLUCTUATING AGAIN. THIS COULD BE A REAL HAZARD IF I RUN OUT OF GAS ON THE INTERSTATE. AFTER ALL THE COMPLAINTS I'VE READ ABOUT THIS PROBLEM I DON'T THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO USE MY EXTENDED WARRANTY AND PAY A DEDUCTIBLE FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE A RECALL. *TR
MY GAS GAUGE QUIT WORKING AROUND 48,000 MILES. IT GOES UP AND DOWN. I RAN OUT OF GAS THIS MORNING. DID RESEARCH ON LINE AND IT LOOKS LIKE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES. WAS WONDERING IF THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL? I KNOW THERE WAS ONE FOR THE 04/05 MODELS. EVERYONE THAT I READ SAID IT COST THEM ABOUT $800. 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. 5.3 LITER V8 ENGINE. TAPPED BRAKES LIGHTLY AND TOOK FOOT OFF BRAKE PEDAL. BRAKES CONTINUED TO ACTIVATE ON THEIR OWN AND CONTINUED BRAKING HARDER AND HARDER UNTIL VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP ON IT'S OWN WITH THE BRAKES LOCKED UP. HAD TO SHUT OFF VEHICLE AND RESTART TO RELEASE BRAKES. CALLED RYAN CHEVROLET IN BUFFALO, MN AND MILLER CHEVROLET IN ROGERS, MN. THEY SAID THEY HAVE NOT HEARD OF ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKES DOING THIS. COULD HAVE BEEN BAD IF ON THE HIGHWAY OR FREEWAY SINCE THE BRAKES WOULD HAVE COMPLETELY LOCKED UP. ONLY HAPPENED ONCE...AND THAT'S ENOUGH! *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHENEVER FUEL WAS ADDED TO THE FUEL TANK, THE "EMPTY FUEL" INDICATOR WOULD APPEAR ON THE FUEL GAUGE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED AT ANY FUEL LEVEL CAPACITY AND WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY STATED THAT THE SENDING UNIT FAILED. CURRENTLY, THE VEHICLE IS BEING REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,900 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 33,493.
WHEN I HIT ABOUT 50,000 MILES ON MY 2006 TRAILBLAZER, MY GAS TANK SENSOR STOPPED WORKING. NOW MY GAS GAUGE ALWAYS SHOWS EMPTY. WHEN I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND OTHER BODY SHOP, THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM ON THESE VEHICLES. I AM OUT OF WARRANTY AND THE DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE ME $600 TO $700 TO REPAIR SOMETHING THAT IS A DEFECT ON THEIR VEHICLE. *TR

I HAVE A FAULTY FUEL LEVEL SENDER. IT STARTED AS READING EMPTY WHEN I FIRST FILL UP. AND THEN AFTER THE FUEL LEVEL WOULD GO DOWN SOME, IT WOULD FUNCTION NORMALLY. NOW IT SHOWS EMPTY ABOUT 90% OF THE TIME NO MATTER HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN THE TANK. NO CORRECTIVE MEASURES DONE AT THIS TIME. *TR
2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER 65,000 MILES, LOST POWER ON THE INTERSTATE AT 70 MPH RESULTING IN A NEAR CRASH. GAS GAGE READ 1/2 TANK WHEN LEAVING HOME, CAR STALLED AFTER 5 MILES. TRIED TO RE-START ENGINE AND THE LOW FUEL WARNING LIGHT AND CHIME CAME ON. VEHICLE WOULD NOT RE-START. FAMILY MEMBER BROUGHT A CAN OF GAS FOR THE VEHICLE AT IT RAN FINE. SINCE THAT TIME THE GAS GAGE HAS BEEN MORE SPORADIC. IF I FILL THE TANK, IT MAY READ FULL, IT MAY READ EMPTY. IT SOMETIMES READS FULL, THEN DROPS TO 1/2 THEN TO E IN LESS THAN 5 MILES. CALLED CHEVROLET DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT IT. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT STATED IT WAS THE FUEL SENDING UNIT, WITHOUT EVER SEEING THE VEHICLE. SERVICE MANAGER STATED IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLE. *TR
ON FRIDAY, MAY 22, 2009, I HAD MY 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER SERVICED AT THE CLASSIC CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP IN GRAPEVINE FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE FUEL TANK SENSOR (WHICH APPEARS TO BE A MANUFACTURER DEFECT AS WELL). AT APPROXIMATELY 6:00 P.M., I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE AT THE DEALERSHIP. WHEN MY DAUGHTER AND I GOT INTO THE VEHICLE, THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS SET TO THE HIGHEST FAN SETTING WITH THE TEMPERATURE SET TO 60 DEGREES. I REDUCED THE FAN SETTING TO 'AUTO' AND RAISED THE TEMPERATURE SETTING TO APPROXIMATELY 70 DEGREES. LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES AND APPROXIMATELY ONE (1) MILE FROM THE DEALERSHIP, THE REAR GLASS WINDOW OF THE VEHICLE SPONTANEOUSLY EXPLODED. AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT, I WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 15 ' 20 MILES PER HOUR AND THERE WAS NOT A VEHICLE IN FRONT OR BEHIND ME. THE NOISE AND MESS SCARED MY DAUGHTER IN THE BACK SEAT AND LUCKILY, THE GLASS DID LAND ON HER. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER THE VEHICLE TO EXAMINE THE DAMAGE AND CHECK THE STREET FOR ANY OBJECTS THAT MAY HAVE CAUSED THE DAMAGE. UPON FINDING NONE, I RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP PRIOR TO THERE CLOSING AT 6:30 P.M. UPON RETURN TO THE DEALERSHIP, THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN OFFERED TO PROVIDE A QUOTE THE NEXT MORNING FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE GLASS, AND COULD NOT PROVIDE ANY POSSIBLE REASON FOR THE INCIDENT. UPON LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP, I RETURNED TO THE SCENE OF THE INCIDENT IN ORDER TO EXAMINE THE AREA MORE CLOSELY FOR A POSSIBLE CLUE TO THE REASON FOR THIS OCCURRENCE. AFTER EXAMINING THE STREET, THE SHOULDER OF THE STREET AND SURROUNDING AREA CLOSELY, THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF THE GLASS SHATTERING FROM AN EXTERNAL OBJECT. PIECES OF GLASS WERE ON THE STREET AND SURROUNDING AREAS UP TO TWENTY FEET FROM THE LOCATION OF THE INCIDENT. THE NEXT MORNING, I REMOVED ITEMS STORED IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AND REMOVED THE BROKEN GLASS, PIECE BY PIECE. THERE WAS NOT A SINGLE OBJECT IN THE VEHICLE THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THE WINDOW EXPLOSION. THIS HAS OCCURRED IN OTHER GM VEHICLES OVER THE YEARS. *TR
I AM THE UN-PROUD OWNER OF A 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. THE GAS GAUGE QUIT WORKING AFTER GETTING GAS ONE DAY. THE GAS LIGHT AND MY SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT NOW STAY ON CONSISTANTLY. I WAS TOLD IT WILL COST ME AROUND $800 TO REPAIR - $600 FOR LABOR AND $200 FOR PARTS. I LIVE IN A RURAL AREA AND A SNOWY PART OF THE STATES AND HAVE A SMALL CHILD - THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ISSUE. IT IS NOT SAFE TO "GUESS" HOW MANY MILES YOU CAN GO ON A TANK OF GAS. *TR
I HAVE A 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER, AND THE FUEL GAUGE NO LONGER WORKS. WHEN I FILL UP THE GAS TANK, THE GAUGE STAYS ON EMPTY AND THE LOW FUEL LIGHT STAYS ON. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON RIGHT AFTER I FILL UP AND IT WILL GO OFF AT ABOUT 50 MILES. IT COMES ON AGAIN AROUND 270 MILES. I HAVE RAN OUT OF GAS TWICE, BECAUSE THE MILEAGE WASN'T RESET AFTER GETTING A FEW GALLONS OF GAS (SOMEONE ELSE HAD PUT FUEL IN MY TRAILBLAZER). I HAVE NOT HAD IT FIXED, SINCE IT WILL COST OVER $800.00. SO FAR THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANY WRECKS OR INJURIES BECAUSE OF THIS SAFETY ISSUE. I HOPE SOMETHING CAN BE DONE BEFORE THERE IS AN ACCIDENT. *TR
A/C WIRING BURNT. FAN BLOWER REPLACED 13 MAY 09, DIDN'T WORK ON ANY SPEED. TURNED IN TO GET FIXED AT CASTROL CAR CARE CENTER, HINESVILLE, GA. TWO DAYS LATER NOT WORKING, SO RETURNED. WIRES FRIED AT PIG TAIL. ALL PARTS WERE FACTORY RECOMMENDED. *TR
THE FUEL GAUGE ON OUR 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER HAS FAILED ALONG WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON RESULTING FROM NUMEROUS CODES. THE ENTIRE FUEL PUMP/FILTER/SENDING UNIT HAS TO BE REPLACED AND THE VEHICLE WONT PASS AND INSPECTION WITHOUT IT. GM NEEDS TO RECALL THIS VEHICLE FOR THIS PROBLEM AND REFUND OWNERS WHO HAVE SPENT MONEY FIXING THE PROBLEM. *TR
THE GAS GAUGE IN MY 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LT SIMPLY STOPPED WORKING. IT ONLY READS EMPTY AND IT IS CAUSING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON NOW WHICH WILL IN TURN CAUSE MY VEHICLE TO FAIL STATE INSPECTION THIS YEAR. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD PROVIDE INACCURATE FUEL LEVEL READINGS SPORADICALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 73,000.
FAULTY GAS GAUGES IN 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZERS GAUGE ONLY READS EMPTY ALL THE TIME. VEHICLE IS 4 YRS OLD WITH 33K MILES. I FILLED A COMPLAINT WITH CHEVROLET AND MY DEALERSHIP. COMPLAINTS ARE ALL OVER THE INTERNET ON THIS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. *TR

MY 2006 TRAILBLAZER IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THE FUEL READS EMPTY WHEN YOU FILL IT UP, I HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS AMOUNT OF TRAILBLAZERS WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. WHY DOES GM NOT STAND BEHIND IT, ITS TRULY A DEFECT TO HAVE SO MANY WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER HAS A DEFECTIVE FUEL TANK LEVEL SENSOR. *NJ THE CONSUMER STATED AFTER THE TANK WAS FILL UP WITH GAS, AND THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, A MESSAGE DISPLAYED LOW FUEL READING AND THE GAS GAUGE READ EMPTY. THE GAS GAUGE ALSO FLUCTUATED AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONSUMER STATED THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR COST OVER 400.00 DOLLARS TO REPLACE. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED TOO MUCH SULFUR WAS IN THE FUEL WHICH CAUSED THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR TO FAIL. *JB

I AM CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING FOR THE SECOND TIME A POWER STEERING HOSE ISSUE AND AFTER RESEARCHING, I SEE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZERS WITH THIS ISSUE, HOWEVER MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT LISTED. WILL MY VEHICLE BE ABLE TO BE COVERED UNDER THIS RECALL TOO? *TR
