UNDER A PREVIOUS RECALL THE DEALER REPLACED A PART IN THE FUEL TANK AND TRIED TO SELL US A FUEL PUMP AT THE SAME TIME. MY WIFE NOW TELLS ME THAT SINCE THIS SERVICE SHE HAS OCCASIONALLY SMELLED GASOLINE INSIDE THE VEHICLE AND AT TIMES QUITE STRONG. AT FIRST SHE THOUGHT IT WAS THE FUMES FROM OTHER VEHICLES. I DO NOT DRIVE THIS VEHICLE ALOT, SO IT HAS NOT BEEN NOTICED BY ME. IS IT BECAUSE OF A COMPLETE FILL UP OR IS IT BECAUSE THERE IS A SEAL NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I DO KNOW IS THAT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THERE BE GASOLINE FUMES INSIDE THE VEHICLE, WHICH TELLS ME THAT ANY SPARK OF ANY KIND COULD IGNITE THOSE FUMES.
AFTER 50,000 MILES GAS TANK SENSOR STOPS WORKING. THEREFORE THE GAS LIGHT REMAINS LIT EVEN WHEN TANK IS FULL - THIS ALSO CAUSES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO COME ON (RESULTING IN A FAILED INSPECTION). PER CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP, THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND HAPPENS ABOUT EVERY 50K MILES. ONLY SOLUTION IS TO REPLACE ENTIRE GAS TANK AND SENSOR (EVERY 50K MILES). *TR
2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER FUEL GAUGE KEEPS BOUNCING BACK AND FORTH AND SHOWING EMPTY EVEN AFTER FILL UPS. FROM WHAT I READ IT IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES AND DESERVES A RECALL . *CN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE FUEL TANK WAS FULL, THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE WOULD READ BETWEEN EMPTY AND ONE-HALF FULL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE FAILURE WAS COMMON FOR HIS MAKE AND MODEL, YET THERE WAS NOT A RECALL FOR THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 51,000.
2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE GAS GAUGE SHOWS THE TANK IS EMPTY EVEN AFTER FILL UP. THE GAUGE WILL THEN GO UP AND DOWN FROM FULL TO EMPTY AND BACK AGAIN. HAVE ALREADY RAN OUT OF GAS WHEN IT FIRST HAPPENED, THE GAUGE SHOWED LESS THAN HALF A TANK AND THEN SHOWED NO GAS, BUT I WAS EMPTY AND DEAD ON THE ROAD WITH THE BABY IN THE CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, ALONE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXT LS/LT. THE FUEL GAUGE ON THE INSTRUMENT CONTROL PANEL INACCURATELY DISPLAYS THE AMOUNT OF FUEL PRESENT IN THE FUEL TANK. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE STALLED. HE WAS ABLE TO SAFELY PULL THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL REPAIR FACILITY. THE MECHANIC CONCLUDED THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO PAY $800.00 DOLLARS TO HAVE THE GAUGE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND THE FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 96,000.
THE FUEL GAUGE ON MY 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER MARKS EMPTY REGARDLESS OF JUST BEING FILLED UP. I DID A LOT OF RESEARCH ONLINE AND HAVE FOUND THAT THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM FOR MANY PEOPLE WITH THE 05 & 06 TRAILBLAZER AROUND THE 40,000 MILE MARK. *TR

DURING A ROUTINE INSPECTION A MECHANIC STATED THAT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE LEVER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER INFORMED HER THAT THERE WERE NO EXISTING RECALLS. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) MY 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXT LS HAS A FAULTY THE FUEL GAUGE/FUEL SENDING UNIT. AT FIRST IT WOULD SHOW FULL WHEN WE FILLED UP, BUT AFTER DRIVING FOR 5 MINUTES WOULD GO TO EMPTY. NOW IT NEVER EVEN REGISTERS THE FUEL LEVEL ANYMORE, AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON ALL THE TIME. I AM AFRAID OF STALLING, ESPECIALLY SINCE I HAVE CHILDREN WITH ME. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT THEY COULDN'T FIX IT BECAUSE NO RECALL HAD BEEN ISSUED. THIS PROBLEM STARTED AT AROUND 38,000 MILES. MY GAS GAUGE WAS MOVING FROM FULL TO 3/4 FULL BACK TO FULL AND ALL OVER THE GAUGE. EVENTUALLY IT HAS STAYED AT EMPTY WITH THE LIGHT ON. I HAVE TO GAGE MY GAS FILLING WITH THE ODOMETER. *TR
MY FUEL GAUGE STOPPED WORKING. THE GAUGE WOULD SHOW HALF FULL WHEN FULL-OR 1/4 WHEN HALF FULL-NOW IT DOESN'T WORK AND THE EMPTY WARNING LITE IS ON. I USE THE MILEAGE TO GAGE WHEN TO GET GAS. I TOOK MY TRUCK IN TO FIX AND WAS QUOTED 700 TO 900. *TR
2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER FUEL GAUGE WAS NEAR EMPTY WITH THE WARNING LIGHT ON. WENT TO FILL IT UP AND AFTER STARTING THE CAR, THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD STAY PINNED TO EMPTY AND THE LIGHT STAYED ON. VEHICLE HAS AROUND 52K MILES ON IT. *TR
AT 33,000 MILES THE CHEVY BOWTIE EMBLEM ON THE REAR OF THE CAR WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY, AT 35,000 MILES THE FRONT ONE WAS REPLACED. BOTH HAD DETERIORATED ON THEIR OWN. NOW AT 49,000 MILES THEY ARE DETERIORATING AGAIN. THESE SHOULD STILL BE REPLACED AT DEALERS/GM COST. *TR
STALLED ON THE ROAD DUE TO FAULTY GAS GAUGE. GAUGE HAS NOT WORKED SINCE. GAUGE CHANGES POSITION ERRATICALLY, CAUSING MY ENGINE LIGHT NOW TO BE ON. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAIL BLAZER. WHENEVER FUEL WAS ADDED TO THE FUEL TANK; THE FUEL GAUGE DISPLAYED AN INACCURATE READING. THE FAILURE OCCURRED AT VARIOUS FUEL LEVELS. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE FUEL SENSOR WHICH REQUIRED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CONTACT HAD CONCERNS OF THE SAFETY RISK INVOLVED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 27,000.

I HAVE 06 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER IN WHICH THE FUEL SENDING UNIT/FUEL LEVEL SENSOR IS BAD WHICH CAUSE THE FUEL GAUGE TO READ EMPTY ALL THE TIME,ALSO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO STAY ON, WHICH HAS CAUSED ME TO FAIL EMISSIONS SO NOW I HAVE TO GET IT REPAIRED WHICH IS GOING TO COST ABOUT $600.00 AND SINCE MY CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY THIS WILL HAVE TO COME OUT OF MY POCKET.THIS IS MONEY THAT I DON'T HAVE. FUEL LEVEL SENSOR INDICATES TANK IS EMPTY AT ALL TIME. THIS FAULT COULD RESULT IN THE AUTO RUNNING OUT OF FUEL, STALL, OR BE REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. RESULTS OF SUCH AN EVENT COULD RESULT IN MUGGING, RAPE OR DEATH. *TR
I DRIVE A 2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER. AFTER REFUELING THE TRUCK, I NOTICED THE GAS CAP DID NOT LOCK PROPERLY AND THE FUEL GAUGE STARTED TO JUMP FROM EMPTY TO FULL. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALSO CAME ON. I IMMEDIATELY REPLACED THE FUEL CAP BUT THE FUEL GAUGE CONTINUED TO READ INACCURATELY OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL WEEKS. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, THE GAUGE ALWAYS READS EMPTY EVEN WITH A FULL TANK OF GAS. A CHEVY MECHANIC TOLD ME THE PROBLEM WAS A FAULTY FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT IN THE GAS TANK. HE SAID THE REPAIRS WOULD COST ~$1,000. I CANNOT AFFORD THE REPAIRS AND IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD TO BE CONTINUOUSLY CHECKING THE MILEAGE ODOMETER TO ASSURE I DON'T NOT RUN OUT OF GAS. MY BOSS HAS A GMC ENVOY WITH THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. I QUICK SEARCH ON THE INTERNET REVEALS SEVERAL HUNDRED IF NOT THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE. I HAVE ALMOST RUN OUT OF GAS WHILE DRIVING. THIS FAULTY GAS GAUGE IS A SERIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM THAT GM SHOULD TAKE OWNERSHIP FOR AND NOT REQUIRE CAR OWNERS TO REPAIR.*TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE EXAMINIG HIS VEHICLE HE NOTICED THAT NONE OF THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS WERE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. UPON FURTHER EXAMINATION, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE DRIVERS SIDE POWER WINDOW CONTROL WIRES WERE BURNED DUE TO A SMALL INTERNAL FIRE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER AND THERE WERE NO PRIOR WARNINGS. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 28,706.
FUEL GAUGE ON MY 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER HAS STARTED WORKING ERRATICALLY OR NOT AT ALL. EVERY TIME I FILL MY TANK, THE GAUGE STAYS AT EMPTY AT FIRST, THEN EVENTUALLY STARTS WORKING, BUT SOMETIMES ERRATICALLY. IT CAN GO UP OR DOWN FOR NO APPARENT REASON, SHOWING THE TANK AS BEING COMPLETELY EMPTY WHEN IT IS, IN FACT, FULL. I HAVE NOT REPLACED IT TO THIS POINT AS MY VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY, INSTEAD USING THE ODOMETER TO TRACK ACTUAL MILEAGE AND FILLING THE TANK ACCORDINGLY. BASED ON RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET, THIS APPEARS TO BE AN EXTREMELY COMMON PROBLEM WITH CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZERS BUILT SINCE 2004. THE AVERAGE COST TO REPAIR, AGAIN ACCORDING TO INTERNET RESEARCH IS $500-$700. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IT COULD RESULT IN RUNNING OUT OF GAS IN AN INCONVENIENT OR DANGEROUS LOCATION, SUCH AS WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS ON AN EXPRESSWAY, OR IN A SECLUDED OR INACCESSIBLE AREA. GIVEN THE EXTENT OF THIS PROBLEM, WHY HAS THERE NOT YET BEEN A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE? *TR
ON SEPT. 12TH, THE BATTERY ON MY 2006 TRAILBLAZER DIED. WHILE TRYING TO JUMP THE BATTERY, SPARKS FLEW AND THE CHARGE WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED THAT DAY WITH A NEW ONE. ON SEPT. 16TH, THE DOOR CONTROL MODULE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE STOPPED WORKING AND THE FUEL GAUGE WAS ERRATIC. ON SEPT. 22ND, THE ENTIRE CONTROL INSTRUMENT PANEL STOPPED WORKING. NONE OF THE GAUGES OR DISPLAYS WORK. ON SEPT. 24TH, REPLACED THE DOOR CONTROL MODULE WITH A USED PART TO SAVE MONEY. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL STILL DOES NOT WORK, AND FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, BOTH ISSUES (DOOR CONTROL MODULE AND INSTRUMENT PANEL) ARE COMMON PROBLEMS WITH TRAILBLAZERS. CHEVROLET HAS NOT PUT EITHER OF THESE ON THE RECALL LIST. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL IS NOT EXACTLY A WEAR AND TEAR ITEM, AND I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PART GO OUT ON ANY OTHER CAR I'VE DRIVEN. THE FIX IS $400-600 AND THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST ALONE IS $100. I CANNOT AFFORD TO GET THIS FIXED, AND NOT HAVING A SPEEDOMETER, TEMPERATURE OR FUEL GAUGE IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE FOR A SINGLE MOM AND 2 YOUNG KIDS! *TR
2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER'S FUEL GAUGE FAILED AT 40,000 MILES. SHOWS EMPTY ALL THE TIME. THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW HOW MUCH FUEL IS LEFT IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE MAY RUN OUT OF FUEL WITHOUT WARNING, STRANDING THE DRIVER AND OTHER OCCUPANTS. REPAIR WAS QUOTED AT OVER $500.00. I HAVE NOT REPAIRED, I WAS ADVISED THE REPLACEMENT PART WOULD FAIL WITHIN A FEW MONTHS. WAS TOLD THE SYSTEM WAS DEFECTIVE AND THE MANUFACTURER IS AWARE OF THE DEFECT BUT WILL NOT ADDRESS THE PROBLEM. *TR
2006 TRAILBLAZER EXT; FUEL LEVEL SENSOR, SENDING UNIT, ETC. AT 34,000 MILES AROUND SEPT, 2009 RIGHT AFTER FILLING UP, THE FUEL GAUGE WENT TO "EMPTY' AND THE LIGHT WENT ON WITH THE WARNING BELL SOUNDING 5 TIMES UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALSO ILLUMINATED, BUT DID GO OFF BY ITSELF AFTER 1 DAY. THE GAUGE STAYED AT EMPTY FOR APPROXIMATELY 50 MILES AFTER WHICH IT BEGAN TO FUNCTION PROPERLY, AND THEN BELOW ABOUT A THIRD OF A TANK IT WENT TO ZERO AGAIN. OVER TIME THE PORTION OF TIME THE GAUGE FUNCTIONS PROPERLY HAS DECREASED. NOW IT REGISTERS ABOUT A QUARTER TANK FOR ONLY ABOUT 25 MILES WORTH OF DRIVING, TYPICALLY FROM 50 TO 75 MILES AFTER FILLING IT UP. I'VE BEEN AWARE OF THE PREPONDERANCE OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS, AND HAVE PUT OFF GETTING IT FIXED...JUST USING THE ODOMETER...SO FAR THE ODOMETER STILL WORKS. A LOCAL CHEVY DEALER WOULD NOT COMMENT ON THIS AS A COMMON ISSUE, BUT WANTS A $49 MINIMUM TO LOOK AT IT, WHICH IS MORE LIKELY TO BE A FULL HOUR AT $99, JUST TO DIAGNOSE. I'M NOT INTERESTED IN HAVING A DEALER LOOK AT IT SINCE IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY, BUT WILL PUT UP WITH IT UNTIL I FIND A TRUSTWORTHY MECHANIC WHO WILL NOT FLEECE OUR FAMILY. THIS CONSTITUTES A SAFETY PROBLEM IN MY OPINION, BUT BEYOND MY OPINION THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT REMAINS UNRESOLVED BY GM TO MY KNOWLEDGE. THIS IS MY FIRST GM VEHICLE IN 20 YEARS, AND I CAN SAFELY SAY THAT UNLESS GM SHARES SOME RESPONSIBILITY IT WILL BE MY LAST. *TR
AFTER OUR BATTERY MANIFESTED A DEAD CELL FOR THE SECOND TIME IN 3 YEARS I DECIDED TO DO ONLINE RESEARCH TO SEE IF ANY OTHER 2006 TRAILBLAZER OWNERS HAD SIMILAR ISSUES. I FOUND A RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 06V417000 CONCERNING PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR AND AFTERMARKET LEATHER UPGRADE I CONTACTED GM ONLY TO BE TOLD OUR VIN WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. I PROCEEDED TO ASK HOW A VIN COULD TELL IF WE HAD AFTERMARKET LEATHER ADDED BY THE DEALER THEY SAID OUR VIN WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL NOTHING MORE. AFTER CALLING ANOTHER DEALER I LEARNED THE 794 SUV'S HAD THE LEATHER UPGRADES DONE BY GM, NOT THE DEALERS WHO SENT THEM OUT TO GET LEATHER INSTALLED. THE REMEDY FOR THE VEHICLES GM UPGRADED WAS GM PURCHASED THEM BACK AS NO AFTERMARKET LEATHER WAS OR IS AVAILABLE THAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE SENSOR IN THE PASSENGER SEAT FOR THE AIRBAG. IF THIS IS SUCH A SAFETY CONCERN WHY WEREN'T THE OTHER TRAILBLAZER OWNERS WHO GOT AFTERMARKET LEATHER FROM THE DEALER NOTIFIED OF THIS ARE THEY LIABLE SHOULDN'T WE GET A NOTICE OF THE SAFETY CONCERNS AS WELL? STILL LOOKING FOR ANSWERS AND A RESOLUTION WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE MY VEHICLE SAFE FOR THE FRONT PASSENGER?? *TR
FUEL GAUGE GOES BACK AND FORTH FROM EMPTY TO OVER HALF A TANK TO A 1/4 TANK. THIS WILL BE THE THIRD TIME WE WILL HAVE TO TAKE IT IN FOR THE FUEL SENSOR. IT IS COSTLY AND I FEEL GM SHOULD PAY THE FULL REPAIR BILL OR REPLACE THE VEHICLE. THE TRAILBLAZER HAS ALSO TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING FOR NO APPARENT REASON AND NO LIGHTS COME ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT THREE TIMES WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN YOU ARE OUT ON THE ROAD. ANY HELP WE CAN GET TO REPAIR WOULD HELP BEING THAT THIS HAS PROVED TO BE VERY COSTLY. *JS
DON'T HAVE THE EXACT DATES AND MILES BUT I HAVE HAD 2 INSTANCES WHERE MY GAS GAUGE STOPPED WORKING AFTER FILLING UP. FIRST TIME I HAD THE ISSUE FIXED AT THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP WHILE UNDER WARRANTY, THEN MAYBE A YEAR LATER IT BROKE AGAIN. I HAVE NOT GONE TO FIX IT. DUE TO THE GAUGE NEVER SHOWING GAS IN THE VEHICLE MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. I DRIVE ABOUT 200 MILES UNTIL I GO AND FILL WHICH WOULD BE AROUND 1/2 A TANK. I CANNOT GO ON LONG TRIPS AS I WOULD NEVER KNOW WHERE I AM ON GAS. ONE TIME BREAKING I CAN SEE SINCE THIS APPEARS TO BE A WELL KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE, BUT A 2ND TIME AFTER THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED IT SEEMS LIKE REALLY FAULTY PARTS OR DEALERSHIP ERRORS. I HAVE BEEN QUOTED BETWEEN $300-$500 TO FIX THE PROBLEM BUT NOT BY A CHEVY DEALERSHIP. I HAVE MANY ISSUES WHERE I PURCHASED THIS TRAILBLAZER. I DON'T KNOW IF CHEVY WOULD FIX THIS AGAIN AT THEIR COST AND I WOULD HOPE THIS BECOMES A RECALL AFTER NEARLY 1,000,000 COMPLAINTS. *TR
I HAVE A 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER LS. SEPTEMBER 2009 IS WHEN IT HAPPENED. THE FUEL SENSOR WENT OUT ON MY VEHICLE AND NOW I HAVE TO GET IT REPAIRED POSSIBLY TO PASS MY FUEL EMISSIONS INSPECTION. FUEL GAUGE NOT WORKING. PROBLEM OCCURRED AT APPROXIMATELY 59K MILES. RAN OUT OF GAS IN MIDDLE OF HIGHWAY AND WAS NEARLY REAR ENDED BY VEHICLES TRAVELING OVER 65 MPH. BASED ON COMPLAINTS LISTED ACROSS THE INTERNET, IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. DEALERSHIP SAYS "NOT MUCH WE CAN DO EXCEPT REPLACE FUEL SYSTEM - STILL WON'T FIX PROBLEM AS IT WILL LIKELY OCCUR AGAIN." ALSO TOLD ME "GOOD LUCK WITH GETTING RECALL PARTICULARLY SINCE US AUTO STRUGGLES = NO BAD PRESS FOR US AUTOMAKERS." HE THEN POINTED ME TO THIS SITE AND TOLD ME TO NOTICE THAT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ON THE INVESTIGATION FRONT SINCE JANUARY 2010 DESPITE THE PROBLEM BEING REPORTED SINCE BASICALLY MAY 2007. INTERESTING...BUT I HAVE FAITH THAT THIS IS NOT THE CASE AND THAT THIS ISSUE WILL BE ADDRESSED. OUR CAR WAS PARKED, THE ENTIRE BACK HATCH WAS OPEN (NOT JUST THE GLASS WINDOW) AND I WAS UNLOADING BAGS AND BOXES FROM CAR. THE REAR WINDOW EXPLODED INTO TINY PIECES OF GLASS THAT RAINED DOWN ON ME. GETTING EMBEDDED IN MY HEAD, BACK AND ARMS. NEIGHBORS CAME RUNNING THE SOUND WAS SO LOUD. THE CAR HAD NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY KIND OF COLLISION AND THERE WAS NOTHING THAT HIT THE WINDOW. I HAD BEEN TO THE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES SINCE THE DOOR HAD BEEN OPENED BECAUSE I HAD LOTS OF ITEMS TO UNLOAD. NOW I HAVE BEEN NOTICING MANY OTHER TRAILBLAZERS THAT HAVE MISSING COMPONENTS FROM THE REAR WINDOW LEADING ME TO THINK THAT THEIR WINDOWS HAVE HAD TO BE REPLACED ALSO. HAD WE BEEN DRIVING THAT DAY WHEN THIS HAPPENED, WITH THE FORCE IN WHICH THE GLASS FLEW, I AM SURE THAT THE CHILDREN IN THE BACK SEAT WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT WITH THE GLASS. *KB

2006 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER, FUEL GAUGE LIGHT AND FUEL INDICATOR ACTIVATES WHEN THERE IS STILL PLENTY OF GAS IN THE VEHICLE. ONCE THE GAS GETS DOWN TO 1/2 OR 1/4 TANK OF GAS IT WILL ACTIVATE THE EMPTY FUEL LIGHT. THIS IS A MAJOR CONCERN AND SAFETY PROBLEM AS IT IS MISLEADING. I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH FUEL IS ACTUALLY IN THE TANK. IT COULD RUN DRY AND LEAVE A PERSON STRANDED. WE DO A LOT OF NIGHT DRIVING AND I CERTAINLY WOULDN'T WANT MY PREGNANT WIFE RUNNING OUT OF FUEL IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR "NOT SO SAFE" CITY WHICH BY THE WAY HAS ONE OF THE HIGHEST MURDER RATES IN THE STATES. I WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 20 HEADING TOWARDS NORTH CAROLINA. I WAS ABOUT 5 TO 10 MILES FROM MERIDIAN, MS AND I WAS DRIVING INTO A DOWN POUR OF RAIN. TWO SEMIS PASSED ME SPLASHING WATER AND AFTER THE SECOND SEMI PASSED ALL I KNEW WAS MY VEHICLE SPINNING OUT OF CONTROL AT A RAPID SPEED BOUNCING UP AND DOWN FOR ABOUT 30 TO 50 YARDS AND FINALLY SLAMMING INTO A TREE ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I MYSELF SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES ALONG WITH MY OLDEST SON. MY TWO YOUNGER SONS WERE IN THE BACKSEAT BUT I HAD A BASKET NEXT TO THE DRIVERS SIDE PASSENGERS DOOR WHICH MADE ONE OF MY SON'S SIT IN THE MIDDLE AND MY OTHER SON TO THE RIGHT OF HIM. *TT

FUEL PUMP REGISTERS EMPTY ALL THE TIME, INTERMITTENT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT (ESPECIALLY JUST AFTER REFUELING). AUTO WILL NOT PASS EMISSION INSPECTION DUE TO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.
