SERVICE AIRBAG light came on last week. Took vehicle to dealership to fix. Parts are discontinued so airbag cannot be fixed per Ferman Chevrolet dealership. Also told me that airbag will not work if in an accident.
HIT A POT HOLE IN MY TRAILBLAZER AS AND MY AIRBAGS DEPLOYED, I BELIEVE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT THEY DEPLOYED WITHOUT AN IMPACT OF ANY KIND, BODY PANELS ARE ALL FINE AND IN GOOD SHAPE BUT THE BUMP JARD THE AIRBAG SENSOR ENOUGH THAT IT DEPLOYED THEM. THIS IN MY EYES IS A HUGE PROBLEM AND COULD BE A BIG RISK FOR SOMEONE BECAUSE THE AIRBAGS ARE MALFUNCTIONING.
I HAVE HAD MY SUV SINCE 2011 HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH IT UNTIL ABOUT FEB. 25,2019. I HAD MY BRAKES REPLACED FTONT AND BACK ALONG WITH THE ROTORS. A WEEK AFTER THAT I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY COME UP TO A RED LIGHT WAS SLOWING DOWN AND WHEN I GOT TO 10 MPH IT STARTED TO PAULSATE AND WASN'T FOR SURE IF I WAS GOING TO STOP COMPLETELY. I FINALLY DID. I TOOK IT BACK TO MY MECHANIC HE CHECKED THE ABS TO SEE IF THE WHEELS WERE SPINNING AT THE SAME SPEED AND THEY WERE. WHEN I GO DOWN MY DRIVEWAY WHICK IS A HILL I'M NOT FOR SURE IF IT'S GOING TO FULLY STOP OR GO ON OUT IN THE ROAD, WE ARE ON A BLIND CURVE AND IT'S RATHER SCARING. ALSO I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE STABLILITY AND TRACK LIGHT COMING ON AND STAYING ON, I JUST RESTART MY SUV AGAIN FOR IT TO GO OFF. IT'S BOTH OF THE LIGHTS ON THE TRACK AND STABLITITY. MY DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT IS FRILLY ON ONE SIDE AND GETTING THINNER.
AROUND 2019, I NOTICED THAT EACH TIME I STARTED MY TRAILBLAZER, THE "SERVICE AIR BAG" LIGHT WILL FLASH FOR A MINUTE, THEN GOES OFF, THEN COMES RIGHT BACK ON AND STAYS ON. THERE HAVE BEEN SOME DAYS WHEN IT ONLY FLASHED THEN WENT OFF, BUT AFTER ABOUT A FEW MONTHS, THE "SERVICE AIR BAG" LIGHT REMAINS ON. HAVE TAKING IT TO THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP TO GET A DIAGNOSIS. THE LIGHT REMAINS ON AT ALL TIMES. AFRAID THAT IF I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, THE AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY!
I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET WHEN MY SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED ON BOTH SIDES
TAKATA RECALL MY AIR BAG LIGHT WAS COMING ON AND OFF. THEN IT STAYED ON FOR GOOD. WHEN I HAD IT INSPECTED. THEY SAID IT WAS A SENSOR LOCATED WITHIN THE STEERING COLUMN. I'M WONDERING IF MY VEHICLE WAS OVER LOOKED UNDER THIS RECALL AND WOULD LIKE TO MAKE SURE ME AND MY FAMILY IS SAFE. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED BACK IN JULY 2017. I NEVER HAD ANY ACCIDENTS IN THIS VEHICLE. ITS AWKWARD FOR AN AIRBAG LIGHT TO COME ON. I'VE BEEN DRIVING GM VEHICLES FOR SOME TIME AND NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS.
SERVICE AIR BAG WITH WOULD PERIODICALLY COME ON AND GO OFF DEPENDING ON SPEED AND TURING THE STEERING WHEEL. IT FINALLY STAYED ON FOR GOOD. WAS TOLD BY ONE DEALERSHIP THAT IT WAS A LOOSE CONNECTION AND THAT IT WAS STILL SAFE TO DRIVE. DROVE IT LIKE THAT FOR A WHILE AND FINALLY HAD A CHANCE TO TAKE IT TO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP. SAID THERE WAS A FAULTY PIECE IN THE STEERING COLUMN AND THAT IF I HAD BEEN INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, THE AIRBAGS WOULD NOT HAVE DEPLOYED.
I FILED A COMPLAINT ON 5/1/2017 TRACKING NUMBER 10981579 CANNOT FIND A REPLY ON YOUR SITE. I TOOK MY SUV TO DEALER HAD IT CHECKED OUT IT SAID THAT THE SELT BELT PRETENSIONERS NEED TO BE REPLACED THAT THEY CONNECT TO AIRBAGS. WE HAVE NOT BEEN IN A ACCIDENT SO IT WOULD SEM THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THEIR BELTS. CHEVORLET GM STILL SAY THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR REPAIRS SINCE THERE ISN'T ANT WARANTY ON SUV. BUT IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO MALFUCTION WITH THEIR BELTS .TO HAVE HAPPENED TO TWO SEATBELTS IT HAS TO BE IN MY OPINION. AND I DO NOT WANT SOMEONE TO GET HURT BECAUSE THEIR SEAT BELT CAN NOT UNLOCK AND THEY ARE TRAPPED IN THEIR CAR.
I WENT TO STORE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK. WHEN I WENT TO UNLOCKED MY SEAT BELT IT WOULD NOT UNLOCK. I TRIED SEVERAL TIMES AND MY HUSBAND ALSO TRIED.THE BELT WOULD NOT LOOSE UP SO THAT I COULD PULL OVER MY HEAD TO GET OUT IT JUST GOT TIGHTER. ANYWAY WE CAME BACK HOME AND ONE OF MY NEIGHBORS TRIED TO GET ME OUT.HE HAD TO UNDO BOLT TO BELT AND CUT WIRE.TO GET ME OUT. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT CAUSED THIS PROBLEM. THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY HUSBAND SEAT BELT LAST YEAR AND HE HAS TO PULL OVER HEAD TO GET IN AND OUT. I AM A HANDICAP PERSON AND WORRIED ABOUT THIS HAPPENING TO SOMEONE ELSE AND SOMEONE GETTING HURT.
BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED FOR NO REASON.WAS STOPPED AT TRAFFIC LIGHT PROCEEDED TO MAKE EASY RIGHT TURN ACCELERATED AND BANG THOUGHT I HAD BEEN BROADSIDED. PULLED OVER INSPECTED CAR NO OUTSIDE DAMAGE ROAD WAS SMOOTH DIDN'T HIT ANYTHING .
NOT EXACTLY WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MY 2007 TRAILBLAZER LT 5.3, THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT ISSUE THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON THE DASH AND SAYS AIRBAG FAULT, IT'S NOT EVERY DAY BUT MOST OF THE TIME, I'M WORRIED BECAUSE WHAT IF I GET INTO AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIR BAGS NEVER HAD AN ISSUE TILL NOW. MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING ABOUT 40 MPH ON A COUNTRY PAVED ROAD WHEN HIS SIDE AIRBAGS WENT OFF. HIS RADIO AND LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING. HE WAS ABLE TO GET HOME THE MILE OR SO, PARKED THE CAR AND SHUT IT OFF. WHEN HE WENT TO START IT THE NEXT DAY NOTHING WORKED. HE WAS STARTLED BY THIS HAPPENING AND WAS LUCKY HE DIDN'T CAUSE AN ACCIDENT OR GET HURT. HE COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT VERY EASILY DUE TO THE VISIBILITY. NOT SURE WHAT CAUSED THIS TO HAPPEN. - UNKNOWN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A CHEVY DEALER BUT THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO DIAGNOSIS IT SO AT THIS POINT WE ARE NOT AWARE OF EXACTLY ALL THAT WAS EFFECTED WITH THE VEHICLE. I HAD MY CRUISE SET ON 55 MPH AND WAS HIT HEAD ON BY VW JETTA PULLING OUT TOWARD MY VEHICLE, THEN FORCED TO LEFT INTO A TELEPHONE POLE. AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY, AND RECEIVED BROKEN STERNUM. DON'T KNOW IF SEATBELT INJURED ME, OR IF THE SEATBELT DIDN'T LOCK ON 2ND IMPACT AND POSSIBLY HIT THE STEERING WHEEL.
SWERVED TO AVOID HITTING A DEER ALMOST HIT MAILBOXES SO SWERVED TO AVOID THEM. I SWERVED TO MUCH THAN IN MY CORRECTION HIT THE GAS INSTEAD OF THE BRAKE. I THAN HIT A TREE BETWEEN 45 - 50 MPH. MY AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED.
A VEHICLE WAS STOPPED IN FRONT OF ME AND I REAR ENDED THEM. I WAS GOING AROUND 44-55 MPH. AFTER I HIT THE OTHER CAR FROM BEHIND I CROSSED 2 LANES OF TRAFFIC AND WENT THRU A PRETTY DEEP DITCH. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AT ALL. I SUSTAINED A CONCUSSION., SEVERAL HEAD LACERATIONS AND A FRACTURED LUMBAR SPINE.
OUR SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED WITHOUT US HITTING ANYTHING. THERE WAS NO POTHOLE OR ANY CURB OR ANYTHING OBSTRUCTING OUR PATH. WE WERE JUST DRIVING ALONG AND THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED ALL ON THEIR OWN. WHY HAS THE 2007 CHEVY TRAILBLAZER NOT BEEN RECALLED. WE SPENT $8,000 GETTING THE CAR REPAIRED.
