TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHEN OPENING THE LIFTGATE, THE POWER LIFTGATE GAS STRUTS SUDDENLY FAILED AND CAUSED THE LIFTGATE TO DROP SUDDENLY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR DIAGNOSED AS PART OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V415000 (STRUCTURE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 114,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2011 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, THE DRIVER FELL ASLEEP, VEERED OFF THE ROAD, AND CRASHED INTO A TREE. THE SIDE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, BUT THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER AND FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED WHIPLASH. TWO CHILD PASSENGERS EXPERIENCED WHIPLASH, BRUISES, AND CUTS. ANOTHER CHILD PASSENGER WAS SHAKEN UP AND EXPERIENCED LOW BLOOD PRESSURE. ANOTHER ADULT PASSENGER SUSTAINED A FRACTURED BACK AND EXTENSIVE MEDICAL TREATMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V118000 (AIR BAGS). EVEN ON THE SLIGHTEST OF INCLINES, AFTER STOPPING WHILE IN DRIVE, THE VEHICLE ROLLS BACKWARD. A FEW TIMES IT ALMOST ROLLED BACKWARD INTO THE CAR BEHIND ME. IT'S AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. OTHER TRAVERSE OWNERS HAVE TOLD ME THE SAME THING HAPPENS IN THEIRS.
POWER STEERING ASSEMBLY WAS IN PROCESS OF FAILING. WAS TOLD BY SERVICE CENTER THAT THE TEETH WERE GRINDING DOWN AND WOULD SHORTLY HAVE LOST THE ABILITY TO STEER VEHICLE. ONLY INDICATION WAS THE WHINE OF THE STEERING PUMP AS IT FAILED DUE TO THE COMBINATION OF A SEAL LEAK AND CONTAMINANTS IN FLUID FROM THE METAL SHAVINGS FROM THE STEERING GEAR. UNFORTUNATELY I DID NOT HAVE THE PRESENCE OF MIND TO ASK FOR THE PARTS OR TAKE PICTURES OF THE FAILED PARTS.
I ACCELERATED FROM ONRAMP TO HIGHWAY. I RELEASED PEDAL BUT ENGINE REVS RAPIDLY INCREASED AND VEHICLE SURGED FORWARD TOWARD VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. BRAKES DID NOT STOP MY VEHICLE . I DOWN SHIFTED TO LOW GEAR PULLED ONTO SHOULDER TO AVOID COLLISION. I APPLIED BRAKES AGAIN .I SLOWED AND SHIFTED TO NEUTRAL AND PARK . REVS RETURNED TO NORMAL AND I SHUT OFF ENGINE. VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALER.
WHILE DRIVING AT AROUND 40MPH, SERVICE STABILITRAK/ SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL WARNINGS CAME ON. WHILE MAKING A TURN, THE ENGINE CUT OUT AND I WAS JUST ABLE TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED AFTER 4 FUEL INJECTORS WERE CLOGGED REQUIRING NEW INJECTORS, NEW OXYGEN SENSORS AND DAMAGE TO ALL THREE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS. AIR BAG WARNINGS COME ON INTERMITTENTLY, AS DO THE TIRE SENSOR WARNINGS. I'M NOW FINDING OUT THAT THESE STABILITRAK ISSUES HAVE BEEN ONGOING FOR YEARS WITH VARIOUS CHEVY AWD MODELS, WHILE GM DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT. *TR
I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHY THE POWER STEERING RACK IS NOT IMPORTANT ENOUGH OF A PART ON A VEHICLE TO INSURE A SAFE RIDE? THERE ARE LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF REPORTS ON THE TRAVERSE ABOUT THIS PART GIVING OUT. THIS HAPPENED TO ME AND THEY WANT $2000.00 TO FIX IT? WHAT? IT SHOULD BE ON A RECALL LIST AND TAKEN CARE OF BEFORE A NUMBER OF DEATHS HAPPEN. VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT GM HAS MANEUVERED AROUND FIXING THIS IMPORTANT PART OF A VEHICLE.
THE DRIVE OR PROPELLER SHAFT CAME LOOSE FROM THE TRANSMISSION WHILE MAKING A LOW SPEED LEFT TURN. BOLTS WERE INTACT, BUT NUTS WERE NOT FOUND.
TIMING CHAINS WORN OUT
ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND HAD (3) DIFFERENT CODES AS SENSORS THAT HAS GONE BAD. TOOK TO DEALER WERE THEY SAID IT WAS MY TIMING CHAIN HAS STRETCH AFTER 90,000 MILES. IF THEIR CHAINS ARE STRETCHING AT 90,000 MILES IS AN ISSUE. I'M LUCKING THE VEHICLE WAS IDLE AND THE CHAINS DID NOT SNAP.
VEHICLE STARTED OVERHEATING DUE TO LOW COOLANT. IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS A LEAK IN THE PUMP SHAFT.
2011 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE RACK AND PINION LEAK AND TIMING BELT LIGHT CAME ON. CAR IS WELL MAINTAINED, DRIVEN EASY AND HAS ONLY 93000 MILES ON IT. GM SAYS IT IS NOT COVERED...
MY SUV SIMPLY CUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I HEARD A LOUD NOISE, THEN IT CUT OFF. IT HAD TO BE PUSHED OFF THE STREET AND TOWED. HAD THIS HAPPENED 1 HOUR EARLIER WHEN I WAS ON I 85 GOING ABOUT 75 MPH, IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THAT I WOULD NOT BE HERE RIGHT NOW.
I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR A WEEK AGO AND NOW THE SERVICE AIR BAGS LIGHT CAME ON. ALSO THE TIMING CHAIN IS MAKING A WEIRD NOISE. I TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC AND SURE ENOUGH THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH AIR BAGS AND TIMING CHAIN
POWER STEERING RACK FOUND LEAKING DURING NYSI. I FEEL RACK SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY. THIS IS AN OUTRAGEOUS PRICE TO PAY FOR A VEHICLE THAT WAS JUST IN FOR AN INSPECTION WITH NOTHING ELSE WRONG.
MY 2011 CHEVY TRAVERSE HAD THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GO ON AT JUST UNDER 40,000 MILES ON ERROR P0017. A CAM SHAFT SENSOR WAS REPLACED ONLY TO HAVE THE LIGHT EMIT AGAIN 2 WEEKS LATER. NOW THE CAR IS READING 2 CODES. ONE IS STILL THE P0017 AND NOW A P0008. THE TIMING CHAIN IS A WELL KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS ENGINE AND GM STILL HASN'T ISSUED A RECALL. THERE ARE PEOPLE WITH COMPLAINTS THAT ARE OVER 2 YEARS OLD. THE CARS RUN EXTREMELY ROUGH WHILE DRIVING, USE EXCESSIVE GAS AND HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO COMPLETELY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED ON THESE ENGINES.
THE REAR LIFT GATE WHEN OPEN IS SUDDENLY FALLING. IT HAS ALREADY HIT ME AND MULTIPLE FAMILY MEMBERS IN THE BACK AND HEAD BECAUSE IT FALLS WITHOUT WARNING AND IS VERY DANGEROUS. THIS IS VERY SIMILAR TO THE PROBLEM WITH THE POWER LIFT GATE THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN RECALLED. TO QUOTE THE POWER LIFT GATE RECALL WEB PAGE: "THESE STRUTS MAY PREMATURELY WEAR AND THE OPEN LIFTGATE MAY SUDDENLY FALL. IT MAY STRIKE A PERSON, INCREASING THEIR RISK OF INJURY."
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, A LOUD SOUND EMITTED FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND PINION AND THE POWER STEERING PUMP FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE AIRBAG SERVICE LIGHT COMES ON IN THE VEHICLE. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY AS THE VEHICLE HAS 70,700 MILES ON IT. THEY SAID THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDS A PASSENGER PRESENCE MODULE AT THE COST OF $1200.00. I BELIEVE THAT CHEVY KNEW OF THIS PROBLEM AND THROUGH RESEARCH OTHER VEHICLES HAVE BEEN AFFECTED. I WOULD LIKE CHEVY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM ON THEIR DIME AS THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP ISN'T EVEN SURE IF ANY OF THE AIRBAGS WILL DEPLOY IN A CRASH.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHILE DRIVING 80 MPH, THE HEADLIGHTS AND ALL THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTING TURNED OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE BACK HOME ONLY WITH THE HIGH BEAM LIGHTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (RYDELL CHEVROLET, 18600 DEVONSHIRE ST, NORTHRIDGE, CA 91324) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHEN DRIVING ON A RAINY DAY AT 15 MPH, THE HEADLIGHTS TURNED OFF AND ALL THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS TURNED OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT WAS PARKED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SAME DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL OTHER TIMES EVEN AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. ALSO, WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE ENGINE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE SAME DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC (ULTIMATE CONNECTIONS, 9517 1/2 SEPULVEDA BLVD, NORTH HILLS, CA 91343) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CRANKSHAFT, OIL PUMP, AND ENGINE MOUNTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 800-222-1020 AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD REPLACE THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT DID NOT HEAR BACK. CASE NUMBER: 8-3184289974 WAS PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000.
I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR POWER STEERING ISSUE. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE POWER STEERING ISSUE AND WAS COVERED UNDER A "SPECIAL POLICY". WHEN I PICK UP MY VEHICLE THE STEERING WHEEL WAS LOOSE. MY HUSBAND CALLED THE DEALER AND WE TOOK THE CAR BACK. THEY ALIGNED THE VEHICLE. STILL SAME ISSUE. AFTER OVER A WEEK THE DEALER SAID IT WAS THE "GEAR" OR "WRACK". THERE IS A SPECIAL AMENDMENT TO THE SPECIAL POLICY BUT, APPARENTLY MY CAR DIDN'T QUALIFY. NOT SURE WHY? MY CAR IS WELL MAINTAINED AND TAKEN CARE OF. THIS IS A NONE ISSUE WITH GM AND WE ARE CURRENTLY FIGHTING WITH THEM THAT THEY SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THE GEAR. GM WRITES SPECIAL POLICIES FOR THE CHEAP REPAIRS BUT, WHEN IT COMES TO A MAJOR ISSUE THAT WAS NO FAULT OF MINE THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME AN ARM AND A LEG. I FIND IT RIDICULOUS THAT CONSUMERS CAN BE TREATED IN THIS WAY. I HAVE STARTED WRITING MY COMPLAINTS SINCE TRYING TO DEAL WITH GM HAS BECOME UNREASONABLE. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE! [XXX] P.S. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000.
MY CAR HAD STARTED MAKING A NOISE IN THE FRONT BEFORE I COULD GET IT TO THE SHOP THAT I TAKE IT TO I WAS GOING TO GET MY DAUGHTER HAD MY SON NEICE AND NEPHEW WAS GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE DASH FLASHED LOW ENGINE POWER LOST THE BREAKS AND COULD NOT STEER THE CAR. I LATER FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS THE TIMING CHAINS. AFTER RESEARCH AND TALKING WITH CHEVY THEY REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING ALTHOUGH THERE HAS BEEN MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS PUTTING PEOPLE IN DANGER AND THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING. THEY SAID WITH ME GOING TO A 3RD PARTY TO HAVE THE CAR WORKED ON THAT THEY WOULDN'T TOUCH MINE. MY CAR HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED I HAD JUST HAD THIS CAR OVER A YEAR WHEN IT STARTED THIS. I OWE 17K STILL ON THIS CAR AND NOT ABLE TO DRIVE IT. THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM IN SEVERAL MODELS AND CHEVY IS NOT WANTING TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKE, I HAVE ALSO HAD THIS LOOKED AT BY CHEVY THEY TRIED SAYING THAT THERE WAS NO OIL IN THE CAR BUT IT WAS CHANGED AND HAD BEEN SITTING FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS. A SINGLE MOM PAYING 400 A MONTH ON A VEHICLE THAT IS NOT MY FAULT THAT IT IS MESSED UP. I WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER CHEVY AGAIN.

AT 76,000 MILES I HAVE NOTICED THAT WHEN I TURN LEFT WITH MY STEERING WHEEL THAT IT MAKES A REVVED UP WHINING NOISE. SINCE I HAVE HAD THE CAR AT 54,961 FROM 1 1/2 YEARS AGO, I HAVE FIXED THE HEATING SYSTEM (800), WHEELING BEARING (290) AND NOW A STEERING PROBLEM. I HAVE OWNED A CHEVROLETS FOR A LONG TIME BUT THIS IS A PIECE OF JUNK. I AM SICKENED TO THINK THAT AN AMERICAN COMPANY SUCH AS CHEVROLET HAS NO INTENTIONS TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT IS VERY PREVALENT IN THESE CARS. MAYBE A COUPLE OF DEATHS AND SOME LAWSUITS WILL WAKE YOU UP! THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE BRAKE LAMP ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. ARMEN CHEVROLET (LOCATED AT 125 E LANCASTER AVE, ARDMORE, PA 19003, (610) 228-4178) WAS CONTACTED AND MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,000.
MY CAR HAS 52,000 AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY TELL ME THE TIMING CHAINS NEED TO BE REPLACED. REASON IS BECAUSE OF YOUR OIL CHANGE INDICATOR CAUSES YOU TO BURN TO MUCH OIL AND YOUR RUNNING YOU CAR ON LOW OIL LEVELS. EVEN THOUGH THE CAR LETS YOU GO 5,000 MILES BEFORE AN OIL CHANGE, YOU STILL SHOULD CHECK YOUR OIL LEVELS ONCE A MONTH BECAUSE YOU ARE BURNING OIL. HOW ARE WE SUPPOSE TO KNOW THAT. BECAUSE I FOLLOW THE OIL LIFE INDICATOR I NOW AM STUCK WITH A $3200 REPAIR BILL. CHEVY EVEN HAS A SPECIAL TECHNICAL BULLETIN ASSOCIATED WITH MY ENGINE FOR THE PROBLEM THAT EXTENDS WARRANTY COVERAGE TO 10 YEARS / 120,000 MILES BUT MY VIN NUMBER DOESN'T QUALIFY.

SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON FOR PASSENGER SEAT. SEAT PRESSURE SENSOR MALFUNCTIONING, DOESN'T RECOGNIZE PASSENGER.
LEFT LIFT GATE SUPPORT MALFUNCTIONED. IT LEAKED ALL THE GAS OUT AND AND SLAMMED SHUT NEARLY MISSING ME. I GOT AN ABRASION ON MY KNUCKLE ON MY RIGHT INDEX FINGER. CASHIER AT AUTO PARTS STORE SAID TO CHECK FOR A RECALL ON FAULTY GAS STRUTS AKA LIFT SUPPORTS.
GM DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOUND "WHINING" NOISE CAUSED BY POWER STEERING LEAK. REPLACED POWER STEERING GEAR AT A COST OF $1781. A "SERVICE BULLETIN" WAS ISSUED BY GM REGARDING THIS ISSUE IN 2014. IT PROMISED REIMBURSEMENT FOR THIS REPAIR FOR 10 YEARS FROM DATE CAR WAS PLACED INTO SERVICE, BUT ONLY UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2015. CLEARLY, THIS IS A KNOWN DEFECT IN THE TRAVERSE.

MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AT 95000 MILES CODE POOO8. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT NEEDED TRIMMING CHAINS. MY GUYS TOLD ME IT MIGHT BE COVERED BUT AFTER CHECKING MY BIN IT WAS NOT COVERED. HE TOLD ME IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH WITH THESE MOTORS BUT MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AND IT WOULD BE 2500 DOLLARS TO FIX A FOUR YEAR OLD CAR. GM WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING TO HELP ME.
FOR THE PAST MONTH OR SO, I KEPT ON HEARING A HUMMING NOISE FROM THE ENGINE. THE STEERING SEEM TO BE VERY STIFF. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THAT IT NEEDS A NEW POWER STEERING RACK AND PUMP. THE CAR JUST ROLLED 62,000 MILES WHICH IS TOO EARLY FOR THOSE TYPE OF ISSUES

FOR SOME REASON THE RUBBER SEALS ON ALL THE DOORS SEEM TO FAIL AT DIFFERENT POINT. I HAD THE DEALER REPLACE THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOOR SEAL 2-3 TIMES (WHILE THE CAR WAS UNDER THE 36,000 MILE MARK). THE BACK DOOR WHERE ONLY REPLACED ONCE EACH. NOW THAT THE CAR IS AT 62,000 MILES, IT LOOKS LIKE 2 DOOR SEALS ARE FALLING APART. THIS CREATES A MASSIVE WIND NOISE IN THE CAR. I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS FAILURE ON ANY CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED. I HAVE A JEEP WRANGLER WITH 100,000 MILES SETTING NEXT TO MY CHEVY ALL THE TIME WITH NO ISSUES
THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ARE INCONSISTENT AT TURNING ON WHEN NOT IN THE OFF POSITION. IF THEY TURNED ON, THEY WOULD STAY ON UNTIL THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. THE ONLY WAY TO ENSURE THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS CAME ON (AND STAYED ON) AT ANY REQUESTED WIPER SPEED WAS TO HAVE YOUR HIGH BEAMS ON. IF YOU TURNED YOUR HIGH BEAMS ON, THE DASHBOARD LIGHT WOULD COME ON. IF YOU TURNED YOUR WIPERS ON, THE HIGH BEAM DASHBOARD LIGHT WOULD GO OUT (YET THE HIGH BEAMS WOULD STILL REMAIN ON).
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL FLUID LEAK....LOSS OF POWER STEERING AT SPARATIC TIMES VERY DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY ON ICY ROADS. THIS COMPLAINT IS THE SAME AS HUNDREDS OF TRAVERSE OWNERS. I HAVE OWNED NOTHING BUT CHEVY MY WHOLE LIFE AND WOULD EXPECT THAT THEY WILL STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT.

INQUIRES IF WAS ISSUE IN WHICH LETTER DATED IN NOVEMBER 2015 AND WAS NO. TOOK VEHICLE TO LOCAL REPAIR SHOP AND WAS TOLD IT IS THE ISSUE STATED IN LETTER. HAVE DEALERSHIP LOOK AT VEHICLE TO HAVE IT CO WEED UNDER WARRANTY.CALLED DEALERSHIP BACK AND WAS TOLD CLOSE TO $500.00 FOR REPAIRS AND NOTHING CAN BE DONE BECAUSE NOW VEHICLE IS OUTSIDE MILEAGE. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF THE PART WAS CHANGED AFTER LETTER WAS RECEIVED IN NOVEMBER 2015. VEHICLE WOULD HAVE BEEN UNDER 120,000 MILES. HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH VEHICLE SINCE WE BOUGHT I IT. AIR CONDITIONING,WATER PUMP,WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP NOW THROTTLE BODY. HOW DOES THE DEALERSHIP EXPECT THE CAR NOTE AS WELL AS THE REPAIR BILL TO BE PAID WITH ALL OF THE PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE???
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK EARLY JANUARY 18,2016 MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON, NOT A MINUTE LATER MY STEERING WENT OUT AND I HIT A ROAD SIGN. I HAD TURNED OFF THE TRACTION CONTROL BEFORE LEAVING MY HOUSE AS INSTRUCTED BY MY SERVICE ADVISOR AT THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP. I BELIEVE GM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE. TOOK MY 2011 TRAVERSE TO THE DEALERSHIP THAT SAME DAY. LIGHTS STILL ON, AND BY THE TIME I GOT IT THERE THE VEHICLE WAS SHAKING TERRIBLY, THEY DIAGNOSE IT AS THROTTLE BODY CODES PO221-PO121 & PO300. THEY FIXED THAT PROBLEM, BUT TOOK NO RESPONSIBILITY GM TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS PROBLEM. I WANTED A SAFE VEHICLE FOR MYSELF AND MY FAMILY, NOW I AM NOT SURE IF IT IS SAFE EVEN WITH THE REPAIRS THAT WERE DONE.
IN JANUARY 2016, MY VEHICLE STARTED HAVING STABILITY TRACK ISSUES. IT GOT SO BAD I HAD THE CAR SIT UP FOR A MONTH THEN CALLED A MECHANIC OUT TO DIAGNOSIS THE CAR. THEY SENT ME TO THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP AND THEY FIXED SOMETHING WITHIN THE STEERING, BUT THAT DID NOT STOP MY STABILITRAK FROM MALFUNCTIONING. WHILE DRIVING THE STABILITRAK LIGHT TURNS ON AND SAYS IT NEEDS SERVICING. THEN IT MAKES THE ENGINE SLOW DOWN AND IT STARTS STALLING SO WE HAVE TO PULL OVER AND TURN THE CAR OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON FOR IT TO DO THE SAME THING AGAIN WITHIN MINUTES. IF THE CRUISE CONTROL IS ON IT TURNS IT OFF STARTS TO STALL AND PUTS MY FAMILY AND I IN DANGER, I JUST THANK GOD WE'VE BEEN ABLE TO ALLEVIATE MAJOR ACCIDENTS. IT'S BEEN ONE MINOR ACCIDENT BUT BECAUSE WE WERE ALREADY GOING SLOW IT DIDN'T AFFECT EITHER CAR, SO WE LET IT GO ESPECIALLY BECAUSE OUR VEHICLE WAS AT FAULT NOT THE PEOPLE BEHIND US.

THE CAR GAVE A MESSAGE ON THE DASH STATING "SERVICE STABILITRACK, REDUCED ENGINE POWER". I DROVE THE CAR TO THE DEALER FROM WHICH IT WAS PURCHASED, AND THEY CLEANED THE THROTTLE BODY. THE CAR RAN OK UNTIL 1/14/16, WHEN THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED- I WAS DRIVING MY CHILDREN TO SCHOOL AND THE CAR REDUCED SPEED TO 20MPH WITH THE SAME "SERVICE STABILITRACK, REDUCED ENGINE POWER" MESSAGE. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, AND IS CURRENTLY THERE WAITING FOR THE THROTTLE BODY TO ARRIVE AND BE REPLACED.
