THE SERVICE AIR BAG JUST CAME ON
WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATE AT 75 MPH, ABOUT 80 MILES FROM MY DESTINATION, WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON. SWITCHED THE BRIGHT LIGHTS ON AND THE CRUISE CONTROL TURNED OFF, POWER LOCKS STARTED LOCKING AND UNLOCKING REPEATEDLY, HEADLIGHTS STARTED FLASHING ON AND OFF. THE WHOLE DASHBOARD INSTRUMENT LIGHTS TURNED ON (CHECK ENGINE, CHANGE OIL, ABS, BATTERY LIGHT, STABILITRAK ETC) WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO PRESS GAS ACCELERATOR IT WAS LOCKED IN PLACE AND WOULD NOT MOVE, VEHICLE STALLED IN INTERSTATE TRAFFIC WITH MY CHILDREN AND I IN CAR. WAS ABLE TO MERGE ONTO SHOULDER, PLACED VEHICLE IN PARK TURNED IGNITION TO OFF POSITION THEN RESTARTED VEHICLE. WAS ABLE DRIVE REST OFF WAY WITHOUT TURNING ON BRIGHT HEADLIGHTS OR CRUISE CONTROL. WHEN I GOT OFF INTERSTATE ONTO HIGHWAY WITH NO OTHER VEHICLES I PLACED CRUISE CONTROL ON AND FLIPPED ON BRIGHT HEADLIGHTS AND THE VEHICLE DID THE SAME THING (GAS PEDAL, HEADLIGHTS, INSTRUMENT PANEL AND LOCKS) AGAIN PULLED OVER RESTARTED CAR AND CONTINUED DRIVING WITH NO ISSUE ( NO CRUISE OR BRIGHTS USED) I THEN TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP NEXT MORNING. THE DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO REPLICATE SAID OCCURRENCE AFTER 6 DAYS IN SHOP.VEHICLE WAS SENT HOME WITH US WITH NO SOLUTION.WE HAVE HAD VEHICLE NOT QUITE 2 MONTHS.DO NOT FEEL SAFE HAVING MY FAMILY IN IT. COMPLAINT MADE TO MANUFACTURER (CHEVROLET GM) THEY STATED THEY HAD RECEIVED NO SIMILAR COMPLAINTS AND ARE UNABLE TO PROVIDE A FIX. WAS TOLD IF VEHICLE REPEATS OCCURRENCE TO TRY TO VIDEO IT AND RETURN TO SHOP. UNHAPPY WITH THIS SITUATION ALL THE WAY AROUND.
SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON, THE DASHBOARD PANEL .. TOOK MY VEHICLE TO HALEY AUTO MALL IN FARMVILLE VA . THEY DIAGNOSED AND FOUND CODE B0015 AND CHARGED ME TO FIX IT . I FEEL LIKE THIS ISSUE SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED UNDER WARRANTY OR BY CHEVROLET . SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN AN OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE FROM ME . MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE DEALERSHIP THREE TIMES FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING, WITHIN 5-10 MINUTES OF DRIVING IT WILL RUN ROUGH, BUCK AND NOT ACCELERATE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHES IN ADDITION TO THE SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT. WHEN YOU STOP AND TURN OFF THE CAR ALL OF THE SYSTEM LIGHTS TURN OFF. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY THE FIRST TIME IT WAS SERVICED THE DEALERSHIP CHANGED THE INJECTORS ON ONE SIDE, THEN FIVE MONTHS LATER IT STARTED AGAIN. WENT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. NOW AT THE FIRST DEALERSHIP THAT REPLACED THE INJECTORS AND NO SYSTEM CODES PRESENTED AND THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE.
AS THE VEHICLE WAS DRINING 50 MPH, THE CAR PULLED TO ONE SIDE AND SLOWED. AND WAS NOT EASILY CONTROLLABLE. NEARLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT I HAD TO GO OVER 3 LANES OF TRAFFIC TO SAFELY PULL OVER. THE "TRACTION CONTROL IS OFF" LIGHT CAME ON AT THE DASHBOARD AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHED SEVERAL TIMES. I HIT THE BUTTON TO TURN ON TRACTION CONTROL BUT IT DID NOTHING.
WHILE DRIVING AT A SPEED AROUND 25-30 MPH THE VEHICLE HAD MULTIPLE ISSUES ARISE AT ONCE: 1.) THE VEHICLE STARTED SHAKING VIOLENTLY AND ACCELERATING INDEPENDENTLY WITH ENGINE RPM'S REACHING AS HIGH AS 6000. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED THIS AND WOULD JUMP FROM AROUND 2000 RPM TO 6000 RPM AND CONTINUE TO ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN; 2.) ERROR MESSAGE, FAILURE, AND COMPLETE LOSS OF THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM; 3.) ERROR MESSAGE, FAILURE, AND COMPLETE LOSS OF THE STABILITRACK SYSTEM; AND 4.) ERROR MESSAGE AND FAILURE OF THE PARK ASSIST SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND SHUT OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES. WHEN RESTARTED THE PROBLEMS REOCCURRED AND THE VEHICLE REQUIRED TOWING TO THE NEAREST CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP. THIS IS NOT A UNIQUE PROBLEM TO ONE TRAVERSE. THIS HAS BEEN A REOCCURRING ISSUE WITH MULTIPLE DOCUMENTED COMPLAINTS OVER THE YEARS AND NO RECALLS OR SERVICE BULLETINS HAVE BEEN ISSUED TO ADDRESS IT. THIS IS A HIGHLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND COULD CAUSE A MAJOR ACCIDENT WITH SERIOUS INJURIES OR DEATH.
I EXPERIENCED A LIFE THREATENING VEHICLE MALFUNCTION WITH MY BRAND NEW 2014 CHEVY TRAVERSE. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND I FELT MY STEERING WHEEL STOP WORKING. IF I TURNED TO THE LEFT OR THE RIGHT IT WOULD CONTINUE GOING STRAIGHT. THIS HAPPENED TWICE AT LOW SPEEDS ON A PAVED STREET IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD. I HAVE THE DOCUMENTATION OF HOW I TRIED TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER WITH GM/CHEVY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT WARNING. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND FAILED TO RESPOND. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO AVOID A CRASH BY SWITCHING THE GEAR INTO THE NEUTRAL POSITION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED ORE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,148.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHILE PARKED, THE LOCKS ON ALL THE DOORS UNLOCKED AND LOCKED REPEATEDLY WITHOUT ANY CONTROL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. WHILE EXITING THE HIGHWAY AT 30 MPH, THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM BECAME INOPERABLE AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS MERGED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND THAT THE FAULTY LOCK/UNLOCK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,046.
I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE SERVICED 8 TIMES FOR THE "SERVICE AIRBAG" LIGHT COMING ON REPEATEDLY. THEY HAVE REPLACED MUCH OF THE SYSTEM AND THE LIGHT IS STILL ON. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND THE PROBLEM CANNOT BE PERMANENTLY CORRECTED.
DURING DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT SPEED 65 MPH THE POWER WAS TOTALLY LOST. "STABILITRAK, TRANCTION CONTROL, REDUCED ENGINE POWER" SHOWED UP ON THE DISPLAY OF THE DASHBOARD. I WAS LUCKY TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF HIGHWAY. *TR
I HAVE A RECARO PERFORMANCE SEAT. I PURCHASED THIS SEAT ABOUT 4-5 MO. AGO SO ITS FAIRLY NEW. THE ISSUE THAT IM HEAVING IS THE ADJUSTER LEVER( WITCH IS THE RELEASE LOCATED BETWEEN CHILD'S LEGS) HAS A NOTCH ON THE SIDE TO SUPPORT THE SPRING. THIS NOTCH ( WHICH IS BY DESIGN NOT A DEFECT) IS CATCHING THE STRAP AND ONCE THE CHILD IS SECURE IT IS DIFFICULT TO RELEASE. ITS EQUIVALENT OF A WRECHERING STRAP FOLDING OR TWISTING OVER WILE TIGHTENING. ALSO ONCE I DO MANAGE TO GET IT TO REALIZE I DID NOTICE THAT THE STRAP IS BEING FLAILED BY THIS NOTCH. IT DOESN'T HAPPENED ALL THE TIME WITCH MAKES IT WORSE, BECAUSE SOMETIMES ITS JUST THE VERY CORNER, OF THE STRAP, THAT GETS PINCHED. IT REALLY MAKES U QUESTION IN AN ACCIDENT IM I GOING TO BE ABLE TO GET MY KID OUT? I CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURE THEIR REPLY WAS TO PULL THE STRAP OPPOSITE TO THE NOTCH. THIS SHOULD SOLVE MY PROBLEM. I HAVE TWO KIDS, TWO CARS AND FOUR CHILD SAFETY SEATS, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I ENCOUNTERED THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM. IT IS LAUGHABLE THAT RECARO WOULD TREAT IT THIS WAY. WAS DRIVINGON GARDEN STATE PARKWAY, DOING ABOUT 65 AND ALLOF A SUDDEN MY CAR STARTED TO SHIMMY AND THE TRACTION CONTROL WAS FLASHING AND THE ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON. I TRIED TO KEEP THE CAR IN CONTROL AND STARTED TO PULL OVER TO THE SHOULDER, BY THE TIME I GOT OVER THE CAR WENT BACK TO NORMAL. IT LASTED ABOUT 2-3 MINUTES. I GOOGLED ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND SAW THAT I AM ACTUALLY LUCKY THAT MY ENGINE DID'NT SHUT OFF BECAUSE APPARENTLY EVERYONE ELSE WHO THIS HAPPENED TO, THEIR ENGINES ACTUALLY SHUT OFF. I AM BRINGING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO BE EVALUATED TODAY. I AM TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THIS CAR AGAIN!! *TR
I WAS DRIVING IN SLOW TRAFFIC ON THE EXPRESSWAY AND THE CAR SHUT OFF. I WAS ABLE TO RESTART IT. THIS IS A NEW VEHICLE, WITH LOW MILEAGE. *TR
I WAS DOING ABOUT 50 MPH ON EXPRESSWAY AND CAR STARTED TO SLOW DOWN WITH LOTS OF JERKING. THEN AN ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF (MANY TIMES) AND SAID SOMETHING ABOUT TRACTION CONTROL / STABILITY BAR (??). AT THIS POINT I HAD NO CONTROL OF MY SPEED/JERKING MOVEMENTS (SPEED DWINDLED DOWN). (ROAD CONDITIONS WERE GOOD, NO RAIN OR BAD WEATHER, NO CURVES, NO HILLS - STRAIGHT STRETCH OF ROAD) IT LASTED FOR ABOUT A MINUTE OR TWO. NEXT IT WAS OK. I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING. THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN A FEW WEEKS AFTER THAT - OUT OF STATE - GOING DOWN INTERSTATE - SAME THING, (ROAD CONDITIONS PERFECT) LASTED A LITTLE LONGER THIS TIME. BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AFTER WE HAD GOTTEN BACK HOME - IT (SHOP'S COMPUTER) SHOWED THAT A LIGHT HAD COME ON - BUT IT DID NOT RECORD ANY INFORMATION. THIS IS A SCARY SITUATION.
I WAS DOING ABOUT 70 ON XWAY AND CAR STARTED TO SLOW DOWN AND JERKING AND ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND SAID SOMETHING ABOUT TRACTION CONTROL OFF AND ALSO STABILITY CONTROL. IT LASTED FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS AND THEN WAS OK. I TOOK IT IN AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING. NOW THIS HAPPENED AGAIN YESTERDAY AS I WAS GETTING ONTO THE XWAY AT ABOUT 55 MPH. NOW 29700 MILES AS I TAKE AGAIN TOMORROW AND SEE IF THEY CAN FIND ANYTHING THIS TIME. *TR
I WAS DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AND INSTANTLY ALL POWER WAS CUT OFF. WHEN I CAME TO A STOP I PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND TRIED TO START ONLY TO HAVE FAILED TO START QUITE A FEW TIMES. AFTER A MINUTE OF SITTING, THE CAR STARTED AGAIN. THE CAR STALLED A FEW MORE TIMES AFTER ON THE WAY HOME. THE DASH SAID STABILITRAK NEEDS TO BE SERVICED AND THE ENGINE POWER WAS REDUCED. THIS COULD REALLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT! THIS PROBLEM SEEM TO HAPPEN WHEN I WAS SLOWING DOWN OR COMING TO A STOP.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS A SUDDEN INCREASED IN ENGINE RPMS AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO MOVE. THE VEHICLE WAS MERGED TO THE SIDE OF ROAD AND TURNED OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 11,000.
WHEN I AM DRIVING THE CAR WILL ALL OF A SUDDEN JERK LIKE IT LOOSES POWER AND THEN PULLS REALLY BAD. TAKEN IT IN SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY SAY THAT THEY DONT KNOW WHAT IT COULD BE. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES AND NOTHING.
THIS LETTER IS IN REGARDS TO A COMPLAINT I HAVE FOR A RECALL ON BELTS FOR MY 2014 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. I WENT TO THE LOCATION, FRIENDLY CHEVROLET LOCATED ON 35HWY AND INWOOD RD. THE SERVICE ADVISORS AT THIS LOCATION DECLINED TO GIVE ME ANY PAPERWORK IN REFERENCE TO TAKING/INQUIRING TO GETTING THE RECALL RESOLVED. THIS LOCATION DECLINED TO FIX AND RESOLVE THE RECALL CONCERN. THEY STATED, DUE TO NOT HAVING THE PART AND DIDN'T KNOW THE TIME FOR DELIVERY FOR THE PART AND NOT HAVING A CAR RENTAL THEY DENIED THE SERVICE. HE ALSO FAILED TO OFFER OR REVIEW ANY OTHER OPTIONS TO RESOLVE THE RECALL. RECALL- 14187 THANK YOU! *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY FOB FAILED TO UNLOCK AND LOCK ALL THE DOORS. ALSO, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE DISPLAYED THE INACCURATE FUEL LEVELS. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RETRACT. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT, IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT WOULD FAIL. THE FAILURES RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER AND REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURES PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,500.
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 35-45 MPH INCREASING SPEED AND THE ENGINE ON THE CAR STARTED TO DIE, GAUGES ALL FLASHED AND WARNING LIGHTS WENT ON ALL OVER DASH. THE GAUGES ALL CRASHED TO ZERO, AS IT WAS DYING DUE TO RUNNING OUT OF GAS BUT AT THE TIME IT WAS BETWEEN 1/2 A TANK AND 1/4 OF A TANK. GAVE IT SOME GAS AND IT REENGAGED. SECOND NOT ON A 2015 NEW ONE, I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR A RENTAL, 356 MILES, DRIVING AT 75 MPH AND ENGINE COMPLETELY TURNED OFF, I HAD TO MAKE MY WAY COASTING TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT POWER STEERING OR ANYTHING TURN THE KEY OFF AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE AND IT REENGAGED. BUT THIS IS TWO OF THE SIMILAR ISSUE ON TWO DIFFERENT TRAVERSES THAT DON'T CURRENTLY HAVE THE RECALLS OFFICIALLY ON THEM,. THEY ARE UNSAFE YET I HAVE TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE AROUND WITH MY FAMILY AND CHILDREN IN THE CAR AND HOPE IT DOESN'T OCCUR OR CAUSE US TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT. *TR
THE DASH BOARD DISPLAY SHOWS A MESSAGE: SERVICE ALL-WHEEL DRIVE. IT SHOWS UP OUT OF THE BLUE USUALLY WHEN I START THE CAR AND BEGIN TO DRIVE AWAY. IT ALSO GOES AWAY ON ITS OWN.I WAS UNABLE TO OBSERVE A PATTERN OF ANY SORT.

THE VEHICLE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP AFTER HITTING THE CURB. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000.
WHILE ACCELERATING TO 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STARTED VIBRATING FOLLOWED BY STABILITY CONTROL AND TRACTION ERROR MESSAGES, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, A BURNING SMELL DUE TO RANDOM BRAKING AS PART OF THE CONTROL AND AN ENGINE DOWN POWER. THIS INCIDENT IS SIMILAR TO MANY OTHERS REPORTED OVER A PERIOD OF YEARS AND IS UNACCEPTABLE FROM A SAFETY STAND POINT WHEN MY ENTIRE FAMILY IS WITHIN THE VEHICLE. I WILL NOT ACCEPT A RIDICULOUS EXPLANATION FROM THE DEALER. HONESTLY, I WANT ANOTHER VEHICLE. I KNEW CHEVY WOULD BE TROUBLE. WHILE PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT, I APPLIED THE BRAKE AND CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. PUT THE VEHICLE INTO PARK AND THEN REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE PEDAL, AS SOON AS I DID THIS THE CAR BEGAN TO MOVE FORWARD, I REAPPLIED PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE AND THEN SLOWLY LET IT BACK OFF AGAIN AFTER VERIFYING THAT IT WAS IN THE PARK POSITION (WHICH IT WAS). THE CAR CONTINUED TO MOVE FORWARD DRIVING OVER THE CEMENT CURB STOP AND STRAIGHT TOWARDS THE GLASS WALL OF THE BUSINESS I HAD PULLED INTO, AND SO I IMMEDIATELY APPLIED THE PARKING BRAKE AND REMOVED THE KEYS FROM THE CAR. I THEN TRIED TO RESTART THE CAR BUT IT WOULD NOT TURN ON, ONLY THE ENGINE LIGHT WOULD COME ON, THE BRAKE PEDAL AT THIS POINT WAS SEIZED AND I COULDN'T PRESS IT DOWN, NOR WAS I ABLE TO MOVE THE CAR OUT OF THE PARK POSITION. AFTER CALLING A TOW DRIVER HE CHECKED THE TRANSMISSION LINKAGE AND WE WERE ABLE TO GET THE CAR STARTED AGAIN HOWEVER NOW THE CAR IS RUNNING, IN THE PARK POSITION BUT THE REVERSE CAMERA IS ON AND WHEN I TAPPED THE GAS IT BEGAN TO BACK UP. THE CAR HAS NOW BEEN TOWED TO MY LOCAL CHEVY DEALERSHIP WHO ARE INVESTIGATING BUT THEY CLAIM THERE IS NO RECALL'S OR NOTIFICATIONS FOR A 2014 AUTOMATIC TRAVERSE (WHICH THERE IS!!). I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR LAST MONTH (AUG) AND I SEE THE NOTICE WAS ISSUED IN FEB. *TR
THE SERVICE STABILITRAC; TRACTION CONTROL IS OFF, PARK ASSIST IS OFF, AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALONG WITH EBS WARNING LIGHTS ALL COME ON ALONG WITH LOSS OF POWER; THE CAR WON'T GO OVER 25. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES; THE FIRST TIME IT WAS WET, ALONG WITH HAPPENING SEVERAL OTHER TIMES WHEN IT WAS WET; THEN IT HAPPENED LAST WEEK WHEN IT WAS COMPLETELY DRY AS I GOT OFF THE INTERSTATE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC; WITH THE ACCELERATOR TO THE FLOOR IT WOULD ONLY GO APROX 15-20 MPH, ALONG WITH ALL THE LIGHTS ONCE AGAIN COMING ON. THE DEALER DID NOT DOCUMENT THE FIRST TIME WE TOOK IT IN FOR THIS PROBLEM, THE JUST TOLD US THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT IT COULD BE UNLESS THEY COULD SEE IT HAPPENING. UNFORTUNATELY IT RESETS ITSELF USUALLY AFTER BEING TURNED OFF FOR A WHILE AND IT DOES NOT HAPPEN ON A PREDICTABLE WAY THERE IS NO WARNING IT JUST HAPPENS. THE 2ND TIME WE TOOK IT IN THEY ONLY DOCUMENTED THAT IT WAS A FORWARD & REVERSE PROBLEM; THE ONLY PART OF THAT THAT'S TRUE IS THAT THE 1ST TIME IT HAPPENED IT WAS AFTER I STOPPED THEN IT WOULD ONLY GO IN REVERSE FOR ABOUT 20MINS THEN IT WAS FINE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYED ON UNTIL THEY SHUT IT OFF. THE LAST TIME IT HAPPEN THE DEALER WANTED ME TO PAY THEM A $95 DIAGNOSTIC FEE BEFORE THEY WOULD EVEN LOOK AT IT. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD; IF THIS PROBLEM WOULD GET FIXED I LOVE MY CAR; BUT AS IT STANDS I'M AFRAID I'M GONNA END UP IN AN ACCIDENT; I AM SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING TRADING IT IN ON A SAFER VEHICLE, EVEN THOUGH I HAVEN'T HAD IT QUITE 2 YRS YET. I HAVE CONTACTED CHEVY VIA THE INTERNET TO EXPRESS MY CONCERNS; THEY JUST TOOK MY INFO AND THE PROBLEM AND SAID THE WOULD RESEARCH WHAT WAS GOING ON; I STILL HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM & THAT WAS OVER A WEEK AGO.
DRIVING NORMALLY AT 55 MPH. CAR SLOWED TO 35 MPH AND ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, AND DASH READ STABILITRAC SERVICE NEEDED ENGINE POWER SLOWED. I COULD NOT GO OVER 35 MPH ON FREEWAY AND VERY DIFFICULT TO BRAKE. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY, MY NEW 2014 CHEVY TRAVERSE LOST ALL ENGINE POWER. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IN SEVERAL MONTHS. MY VEHICLE LOST POWER, LIGHTS WENT OFF AND I NEARLY ESCAPED A CAR ACCIDENT WHILE STEERING WITHOUT ANY ENGINE POWER! THERE WAS NO WARNING- NO LIGHTS WARNED US, NO SOUNDS, NO SPUTTERING- JUST LOST ENGINE POWER. I NEARLY WAS KILLED AND AVOIDED AN ACCIDENT ON THE HIGHWAY. SEVERAL LIGHTS WENT OFF: "TRAK CONTROL OFF, CHECK STAB TRAK." GM HAS ANOTHER VEHICLE ON THEIR HANDS THAT MUST BE RECALLED. I DO NOT WANT TO PUT MY YOUNG CHILDREN BACK IN THIS VEHICLE. IT WILL KILL SOMEONE. THIS IS THE 2ND EVENT WITH THIS "COMPUTER GLITCH." SEVERAL MONTHS AGO, AS I DROVE THE CAR OFF THE LOT - THE LIGHTS WENT OFF AND GM DEALER SAID IT WAS A COMPUTER GLITCH. TO DRIVE A NEW CAR, AND WITHOUT ANY WARNINGS - NO WARNINGS WHEN THE ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN IS A DANGER TO THE PUBLIC. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I DON'T WANT A NEW COMPUTER PART. I WON'T DRIVE THIS VEHICLE, IT WILL KILL SOMEONE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,000.

SINCE BUYING THIS VEHICLE, MY SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN ON. I'VE TAKEN IT IN THREE TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED IT FROM AND ONCE TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP TO NO AVAIL. MY TIRE LIGHT /WARNING ALSO CONTINUES TO SHOW DESPITE THE DEALERSHIP NOT FINDING A PROBLEM.
GENERAL MOTORS IS AWARE OF A BRAKE PEDAL RUBBING NOISE ISSUE, HOWEVER THEY DO NOT INFORM OWNERS ABOUT A REMEDY. THE SQUEAKY/RUBBING BRAKE PEDAL NOISE IS A KNOWN ISSUE AS I HAVE BEEN TOLD FOR THIS MODEL AS WELL AS SEVERAL OTHERS ON THE GM LINEUP. I AM ASKING GM TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY BY DOCUMENTING MY CONCERN AS WELL AS ISSUING A RECALL SO IT MAY BE ADDRESSED BEFORE IT CAUSES SOMETHING TO GO WRONG AND POSSIBLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
AS WE PULLED UP IN THE 2014 CHEVY TRAVERSE AROUND 2 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING MY FATHER SHIFTED INTO PARK AND TRIED TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND PULL THE KEY AS HE DID THAT THE KEY WOULD NOT COME OUT THE IGNITION AND WE TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES THEN WE CALLED ON STAR THEN THEY TRANSFERRED US TO CHEVY ROADSIDE, THEY COULDN'T FIND A SOLUTION SO THEY TOLD US TO REMOVE THE KEY FOB AND COVER THE DASHBOARD WE TOOK IT TO THE SHOP THE NEXT DAY AND WE WERE SUPPOSED TO GET IT BACK YESTERDAY BUT GUESS WHAT, THE [XXX] KEY GOT STUCK AGAIN, WHEN HE WAS TRYING TO SHOW US THE REMOTE START. ON JUNE 18TH, 2014 I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL INDICATING THAT RECALL PARTS WERE READY TO BE INSTALLED DESPITE THAT I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY NOTICE FROM THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE VEHICLE I PURCHASED HAD A KNOWN SAFETY DEFECT THAT HAD NOT BEEN FIXED. THE SALE OF THE VEHICLE WITH THIS SAFETY DEFECT IS IN DIRECT CONTRADICTION WITH THE STOP DELIVERY ORDER (DCS 3238) ISSUED BY GM ON MAY 18TH, 2014. *TR
UPON DELIVERY OF VEHICLE HAD NUMEROUS ELECTRICAL ISSUES, RADIO OFF FOR NO REASON, LIGHTS OFF FOR NO REASON. U-HAUL DEALER FOUND THE FUSES IN FUSE BOX WERE FLOATING AND NOT STABLE IN CONNECTORS, WHOLE FUSE BOX WAS THIS WAY. IF YOU RAN YOUR FINGER ACROSS THE FUSES THEY WOULD MOVE, SWAY AND WERE NOT STRONGLY HELD IN THE CONNECTORS. I TOOK TO DEALER SHOWED MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD VEHICLE COULD NOT BE DRIVEN "AS IS" DUE TO FIRE HAZARD. FUSES WERE ALL LOOSE >20. FUSE BOX WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER I STILL EXPERIENCE SHIFTING PROBLEMS, FUEL GAUGE ISSUES, DEALER UNABLE TO RECREATE LOUD THUMP NOISE IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, DEALER HAS RECODED SHIFT POINTS, SAYS TRANSMISSION "WILL LEARN", THIS FIXES PROBLEM FOR SHORT PERIODS, BUT ONCE AGAIN WHEN VEHICLE IS IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, VEHICLE HESITATES AND LOUD "BANG" NOISE.PROBLEM MAY BE IN AXLES OR WHEEL WELL, DRIVE SYSTEM. DEALER UNABLE TO REPLICATE, SAYS NOTHING CAN BE DONE! *TR

ON FOUR OCCASIONS I HAVE LOST BRAKES WHILE DESCENDING A HILL. THE BRAKE PEDDLE GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. ONLY AFTER PUMPING THE BRAKES DOES PRESSURE RETURN AND THE CAR SLOWS. THE DEALER INDICATES THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE AND CONTINUES TO DENY THERE IS A PROBLEM. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V614000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IN ORDER TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100.
RADIO WILL GO TO A BLANK SCREEN CAUSING LOSS OF BLUETOOTH FUNCTIONS AND FORCING THE DRIVER TO USE HIS OR HER CELL PHONE WHICH IS NOT EASILY ACCESSIBLE, DEALERSHIP HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM AND THERE IS NO WAY TO TURN THE SYSTEM BACK ON UNTIL IT DECIDES TO DO IT ON ITS OWN. *TR
