WHEN TRAVELING TO ANY DESTINATION UTILIZING CITY STREET OR A HIGHWAY, WHETHER TRAFFIC IS HEAVY OR MOVING FAST OR SLOW, MY VEHICLE IS ALWAYS BEING CUT IN FRONT OF , CUT OFF WITH INTENT. CAUSING ME TO APPLY BRAKES WHETHER I AM TRAVELING AT 35 MPH , 45, 55, 60, 70, EVEN IN A SCHOOL ZONE AT 15 MPH. ALSO, I HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT THE DRIVER SEAT,
CAR GOES INTO ENGINE POWER REDUCED MODE. ALMOST WAS HIT TWICE ON INTERSTATE BECAUSE HAD NO PLACE TO PULL OFF HUGHWAY. I WAS IN MOTION
RADIO STAYS ON AFTER CAR IS OFF AND COMPUTER KEEPS SAYING TIGHTEN FUEL CAP AND TACTION DRIVER SHUTS OFF ALL SUDDEN THEN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON THEN RESETS AND GOES BACCK TO NORMAL ON ITS OWN
PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN JAN/2017 CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED. AFTER ABOUT 2-3 MONTHS I WOULD NOTICE A LACK OF POWER WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. IT SEEMED AS THOUGH THE VEHICE WAS TRYING TO KEEP UP ON A 25MPH STREET. THE VEHICLE WOULD ALSO "JERK" WHEN ACCELERATING. AND JUST TODAY I GOT A FLASHING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND A WARNING THAT THE TRACTION CONTROL WAS OFF, HAS A LOSS OF ENGINE POWER, AND AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS THE WARNINGS WENT AWAY AND THE CAR BEGAN TO GAIN ACCELERATION.
All the dash lights go out. Very dangerous especially at night. sometimes turning on another electrical device will restore, sometimes shutting vehicle down and restarting will help. have tried covering/ cleaning light sensor, no help. just have to wait until it decides to work. started about 6 years ago. getting progressively worse. no warning lights. had independent mechanic check it, he says problem with instrument cluster. hard to tell as it was working when he looked at it. I need your support before this causes an accident.2014 Chevrolet Traverse. 69,200 miles
WAS DRIVING ON THE INTESTATE WHEN CAR STARTED TO PUT AND NOT WANNA MOVE STABILITRAKE AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS CAME ON CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHED AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AT ALL WITH MY CHILD IN CAR IS VERY UNSAFE AND KEEPS HAPPENING AND DEALERSHIP CAN NOT FIND ANYTHIBG WRONG THIS IS CLEARLY A PROBLEM AND NEEDS FIXED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH ON THE FREEWAY, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO VEER TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT HEARD A DING NOISE AND THE VEHICLE FELT LIKE IT WOULD STALL. IN ADDITION, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATORS FLICKERED AND THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY SENSOR AND TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE DEALER (MOUNTAIN VIEW CHEVROLET 1079 W FOOTHILL BLVD, UPLAND, CA 91786 909-985-2866) AND WAS INFORMED TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOTIFY THE DEALER AND WOULD CALL THE CONTACT BACK WITHIN 24 HOURS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON, BUT NO PROBLEM CAN BE FOUND BY THE DEALERSHIP. THE TRANSMISSION KEEPS "JERKING" OR IT EVEN FEELS LIKE IT IS FALLING OUT. I'VE READ THAT IT CAN TAKE A WHILE FOR THE VEHICLE TO "LEARN" HOW YOU DRIVE, BUT THIS DOESN'T FEEL RIGHT. ALMOST TOO SCARED TO DRIVE. I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT AND MY VEHICLE STALLED (I DIDN'T REALIZE THIS UNTIL I TRIED TO GO AT A GREEN LIGHT) AND WOULDN'T MOVE...EVEN WHEN I DIDN'T HAVE IT IN PARK. I HAD TO TURN IT OFF AND ON TWICE BEFORE MY VEHICLE WOULD MOVE. I'VE HAD ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE AS WELL. IT'S ONLY A 2014. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING!
CAR LOST THROTTLE CONTROL. ENGINE REMAINED RUNNING, BUT CAR JUST LOST POWER WITH NO THROTTLE RESPONSE. HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES NOW AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. DEALERSHIP CLEANED THROTTLE BODY AND RESET CPU, BUT IT HAPPENED AGAIN THE NEXT DAY, TURNING VEHICLE OFF LETTING IT SIT FOR A MINUTE DOES REMEDY THE PROBLEM TEMPORARILY, BUT EVENTUALLY HAPPENS AGAIN WITH NO WARNING WHICH COULD BE VERY DANGEROUS ON THE HIGHWAY. DATE BELOW WAS THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED, I WOULD HAVE TO LOOK FOR THE FIRST TIME WHICH WAS OVER A YEAR AGO AFTER WE HAD THE BREAK BOOSTER REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON WHEN THIS HAPPENS.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE GOING 65 MPH AND THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOSS POWER THEN COMPLETELY SHUT OFFF. IT DISPLAYS SEVERAL MESSAGES SAYING LOSS ENGINE POWER, LOSS OF TRACTION CONTROL. ONCE I GOT THE TRAVERSE TO THE MEDIAN, IT RESTARTED AND SOUNDED LIKE A VERY OLD PICK UP TRUCK. I RESTARTED IT AGAIN AND IT SOUNDED NORMAL. I CALLED FOR A TOW TRUCK , THAT TOWED IT DIRECTLY TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY KEPT IT TWO DAYS AND SAID THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND CHARGED ME $100 DIAGNOSTIC FEE. THIS HAPPEN 2 MORE TIMES AFTER THIS ON THE INTERSTATE (65MPH AGAIN) AND WHILE I WAS PARKING IN A PARKING LOT (2 MPH) AGAIN, IT WAS SENT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATED THE SAME THING ...COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. NOTE, IT WAS SENT TO 2 SEPARATE CHEVY DEALERSHIP IN DIFFERENT COUNTIES. I CONTACTED GENERAL MOTORS AND THEY HAVE NOT ISSUED A RECALL, ANY ADVICE ON HOW TO FIX THIS OR ANY COMPENSATION. SIMPLY GAVE ME A CASE NUMBER .
THERE ARE A LOT OF PAINT DINGS. SOME VERY SMALL SOME LARGER. MOSTLY IN THE FRONT HALF OF THE VEHICLE. MY DRIVING HABITS AND DESTINATIONS HAVE NOT CHANGED OVER THE YEARS AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE EVER SEEN THIS MANY DINGS IN ONE VEHICLE IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. I DID MENTION IT TO THE DEALERSHIPS SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND OF COURSE THERE ARE NO KNOWN ISSYES WITH THE PAINT FAILING. ITS BEEN APPROXIMATELY 3 MTHS. SINCE I WAS TOLD THIS AND IT STILL SITS VERY UNEASY WITH ME!!!! SOONER OR LATER THINGS DINGS WILL START RUSTING. I STILL HAVE JUST OVER 5 YRS. LEFT TO PAY FOR THIS VEHICLE!
THE AIR BAG SERVICE LIGHT WENT OFF ON 3/27/17 AFTER GETTING NEW TIRES. ALSO A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO THE CAR WENT OUT OF PARK WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS IN THE PASSENGER SIDE, I RAN OUT TO STOP IT!
WHILE DRIVING THIS CAR I WILL GET THREE AUDIBLE "BONGS" THEN I WILL GET ERROR MESSAGES "SERVICE STABILITRAK", TRACTION CONTROL OFF", ENGINE POWER REDUCED". AT THIS TIME I HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE SPEED OF THIS VEHICLE. I CAN DEPRESS THE GAS PEDAL AND GET AN INCREASE IN ENGINE RPM BUT NO MORE FORWARD SPEED (MPH). MY FORWARD SPEED WILL CONTINUE TO DECREASE. I WILL HAVE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND TURN THE ENGINE OFF. WAIT TWO OR THREE MINUTES THEN RESTART THE ENGINE. IF I AM LUCKY THE VEHICLE WILL OPERATE NORMALLY BUT WILL DISPLAY A SERVICE LIGHT ON THE DASH BOARD. THIS VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS. I HAVE CONTACTED MY AUTO DEALER AND PARTS WERE INSTALLED. I ASKED ABOUT THE CAUSE OF THIS PREDICAMENT AND THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID THE SAME SITUATION COULD BE CAUSED BY A HUNDRED DIFFERENT SENSORS IN THE VEHICLE. I NOW HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. 17K MILES AND 12 MONTHS LATER. AGAIN; THIS VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS. IF THIS HAPPENS WHILE PASSING ANOTHER VEHICLE ON A COUNTRY ROAD OR IF THESE ERRORS OCCUR WHILE DRIVING DOWN AN ON RAMP TO HI-WAY TRAFFIC THE DANGER INCREASE. I UNDERSTAND THE NEED FOR ERROR MESSAGES TO WARN OF ENGINE PROBLEMS BUT THE CONTROL OF FORWARD SPEED SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN AWAY FROM THE DRIVER.
WHEN STARTING VEHICLE USING KEY REMOTE, GASOLINE LEAKS FROM STATIONARY VEHICLE FROM UNDERNEATH.
I BOUGHT MY 2014 TRAVERSE USED IN FEBRUARY 2015 WITH APPOX 25,000 MILES. HAD NO PROBLEMS UNTIL DECEMBER 2016 WITH APPOX 58,000 MILES. THE SAME PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES BETWEEN 12/28/16 AND 2/9/17. EACH TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS DRIVING ON CITY STREETS AND IT WAS A FEW DAYS AFTER IT RAINED. I ONLY BRING UP THE RAIN BECAUSE THE FIRST TIME I TOOK TO DEALER, THE SERVICE ADVISER IMMEDIATELY LOOKED TO SEE IF I HAD A SUNROOF BECAUSE HE SAID THE DESCRIPTION OF MY PROBLEM WAS SIMILAR TO A TRAVERSE SUNROOF PROBLEM WHERE WATER WAS GETTING IN THE VEHICLE. WHEN AT A STOP OR REDUCED SPEED THE VEHICLE VIBRATES, LOSS OF TRACTION CONTROL MESSAGE FLASHES, LOSS OF STABILITY FLASHES, ENGINE POWER REDUCE FLASHES AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GOES ON. THE FIRST 3 TIMES THIS HAPPENED, MY FIRST INSTINCT WAS TO PULL OVER AND TURN VEHICLE OFF. EACH TIME I DID THIS IT STARTED UP WITH NO PROBLEM BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED ON. I TOOK IT TO A DEALER EACH TIME WHO COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. AFTER THE 3RD TIME, I CALLED GM AND A CASE NUMBER WAS OPENED. I WAS ADVISED TO PURCHASE ONSTAR (NOT AN ACCEPTABLE SOLUTION) AND TOLD THAT IF IT HAPPENED AGAIN TO DRIVE DIRECTLY TO A GM DEALER WITHOUT SHUTTING THE VEHICLE OFF. IT HAPPENED AGAIN ON 2/9/17 WHILE DRIVING APPOX 25 MPH IN MORNING TRAFFIC. I DROVE STRAIGHT TO A GM DEALER AT A SPEED OF 20 MPH IN A 50 MPH ZONE. I FELT VERY UNSAFE. ON 2/14 A DIAGNOSIS WAS MADE - REPLACE THE ENGINE COMPUTER (COVERED UNDER WARRANTY) AND THE UNDER HOOD FUSE BLOCK (NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND A $725 REPAIR). AS OF 3/1/17, I WAS TOLD BY MY DEALER'S SERVICE ADVISER THAT THE UNDER HOOD FUSE BLOCK IS ON A NATIONAL BACK ORDER AND HE IS UNSURE WHEN THE PART WILL ARRIVE. I LEFT A VOICEMAIL FOR A GM CALIFORNIA REP THAT HAS BEEN IN CONTACT WITH ME SINCE A CASE WAS OPENED UP. I LEFT A MESSAGE AFTER BUSINESS HOURS BUT IT'S NOW 1 PM AND HE HAS NOT RETURNED MY CALL.
SERVICE AIR BAG WARNING. TRACTION STABILITRAK SERVICE AND ABS LIGHT ARE ON CUTTING ENGINE POWER TO WHEELS. IN MOTION HIGHWAY SPEED.
THE AIRBAG SERVICE NEEDED LIGHT WENT ON. I'VE ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 2 AND A HALF YEARS. THE LIGHT IS ON WHEN I'M DRIVING OR WHEN I TURN ON THE CAR. *TR
MY SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON, AND MY MECHANIC ALSO NOTED THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH MY PASSENGER SEAT BELT ANCHOR PRETENSIONER DEPLOYMENT LOOP. THIS CAR HAS BEEN IN NO ACCIDENTS, AND THESE ISSUES SHOULD BE RECALLED, BUT MY DEALER SAYS THERE IS NO RECALL.
ENGINE POWER REDUCED, STABILITY TRACK LOSS LIGHTS CAME ON AND MY VEHICLES ENGINE POWER CAME TO A STOP WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR WITH MY WIFE ON THE HWY. COULD NOT MOVE THE VEHICLE. DEALERSHIP CAN NOT FIGURE OUT THE ISSUE, ONLY FOUND MULTIPLE CODES FROM THE PAST AND STILL COULD NOT SOLVE THE ISSUE. GM NEEDS TO STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT AND REPLACE THESE VEHICLES ASAP OR FIX THIS ISSUE. LAWSUITS WILL BE FILED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
CAR LOST POWER ON HIGHWAY DUE TO SERVICE STABILIZER MESSAGE. THEN THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME THAT MY POWER STEERING WAS LEAKING AND NEEDS A 2400 REPAIR WHICH I SEE IS COVERED BY SERVICE BULLETIN SB-10052379-9767 BUT THEY SAY MY VIN NUMBER ISN'T COVERED. *TR
THE SEAT BELT ANCHORS ON THE 2ND ROW BENCH SEAT HAVE INJURED SEVERAL OF MY PASSENGERS, INCLUDING MYSELF AND MY CHILDREN. I'VE ONLY OWNED CAR FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR A LOVE IT, EXCEPT FOR THIS HUGE PROBLEM. THE ANCHORS ARE NON-BENDABLE AND ARE JUST TOO LONG AND RIGID. WHEN PEOPLE TRY TO SIT OR SCOOT OVER, THEY HAVE BEEN INJURED AND COMPLAINED TO ME ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. I DON'T THINK ITS AN ISSUE WITH THE PERSONS SIZE, BECAUSE BOTH SLIM AND LARGE FRAMED PEOPLE HAVE BEEN INJURED BY THESE ANCHORS IN MY CAR. MY SON IS ONLY 120 LBS AND GOT A HUGE BRUISE FROM ACCIDENTALLY SITTING DOWN TOO QUICKLY. JUST RECENTLY, WE RECENTLY TOOK A ROAD TRIP AND HE BRUISED HIS TAILBONE FROM THE ANCHOR PRESSING UP AGAINST HIM WHILE HE SLEPT. MY NIECE WAS IN HER CAR SEAT IN THE MIDDLE OF 2ND ROW SO HE ONLY HAD SO MUCH ROOM. I HAVE PERSONALLY INJURED MYSELF WHEN CLEANING OUT MY CAR. AT LEAST 8-10 PEOPLE (KIDS AND ADULT FRIENDS) HAVE BEEN INJURED (TEMPORARILY) AND COMPLAINED TO ME ABOUT THESE SEAT BELT ANCHORS BEING A NUISANCE AND UNCOMFORTABLE FOR THEIR TRAVEL. THIS MAKES ME FEEL BAD BECAUSE I CHOSE THIS SPECIFIC TYPE OF VEHICLE SO I COULD TRAVEL WITH MORE PEOPLE, BUT KNOWING THAT THEY ARE UNCOMFORTABLE DEFEATS THE PURPOSE, ESPECIALLY FOR LONG TRIPS. THIS SEEMS LIKE A HUGE DESIGN FLAW THAT SOMEHOW FELL THROUGH THE CRACKS AND IS DEFINITELY AND ISSUE PER THE VARIOUS COMPLAINTS FOUND ONLINE. EITHER THE ANCHORS NEED TO BE SHORTENED OR THEY NEED TO BE DESIGNED LIKE THE MAJORITY OF OTHER CARS WHERE THE ANCHOR IS MOVABLE AND MORE FLEXIBLE. IM INCLUDING PICTURES OF THE 2ND ROW AND 3RD ROW ANCHORS SO THE DIFFERENCE CAN BE SEEN. THE 3RD ROW ONES ARE NO PROBLEM AND I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED COMPALINTS ABOUT THEM. I THINK THE 2ND ROW ANCHORS SHOULD BE DESIGNED SIMILAR TO THE 3RD ROW ONES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. WHILE STATIONARY, THE VEHICLE SLIPPED OUT OF GEAR AND ROLLED BACK INTO A SWAMP AREA. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7,800. UPDATED 01/04/17*LJ CONSUMER STATED WHILE ROLLING BACKWARD, THE BRAKES AND STEERING WERE UNRESPONSIVE. COULD NOT GET IT TO STOP. TRUCK WAS RUNNING THE ENTIRE TIME, BUT UNRESPONSIVE TO DRIVER. SINCE WE BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE IT HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. WE HAVE HAD PROBLEM WITH SEAT BELT, INSTRUMENTAL PANEL (RESET) AND ONE MORE THING THAT WE DO NOT REMEMBER WHAT IT IS. AT THIS TIME WE ARE EXPERIENCING PROBLEM WITH ALL BREAK LIGHTS NOT OPERATIONAL WHICH WAS RECALLED DECEMBER 26, 2014 FOR THE REASON THAT THE CHASSIS ELECTRONIC MODULE MAY BE INTERNALLY CONTAMINATED, RESULTING IN AN ELECTRICAL SHORT..VERY DANGEROUS HOWEVER, I WAS TOLD THAT OUR VEHICLE WAS NOT RECALLED AND YET COULD NOT CONVINCE ME WHY WE ARE HAVING SAME PROBLEM WITH RECALLS. WE HAVE APPOINTMENT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE IN ON TUESDAY, NOV 28,, 2016. WE NEED HELP TO MAKE SURE THAT CHEVY FIXES THIS CAR AT NO COST TO US..IT IS SHAMEFUL THAT A 2YRS OLD AR WILL DEVELOP THESE PROBLEMS WHILE YOUR ARE STILL PAYING CAR NOTE. WE BELIEVE THERE WAS A MISTAKE WHEN RECALLS WERE MADE THAT APPARENTLY MOST CARS THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE COVERED WERE MISSED UNLESS WHY SUCH A COINCIDENCE. WHILE DRIVING NORMALLY AT A SPEED OF 35MPH, A MESSAGE SAYING "SERVICE AIR BAG" BEGAN APPEARING IN THE DIC AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT BEGAN COMING ON AND OFF ON THE DASH AND OVER THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS OCCURRED MORE OFTEN UNTIL NOW IT STAYS ON CONSTANTLY. I HAVE READ MULTIPLE OTHER COMPLAINTS STATING EXACTLY THE SAME THING OR SOMETHING VERY SIMILAR. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A MANUFACTURING ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. INSTEAD, NOW I GET TO SCHEDULE SERVICE AND PAY FOR A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT OUT OF POCKET.
AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT INDICATOR CAME ON TODAY, 10/25/16. NOTHING HAPPENED TO CAUSE THE LIGHT TO COME ON AND THE DEALERSHIP STATES THAT THE AIRBAG HAS BECOME INOPERABLE. SEEMS LIKE A LOT OF ISSUES REPORTED AND EVEN A RECALL ON EARLIER MODELS. WIFE WAS ABOUT 2 MILES FROM HOUSE WHEN INDICATOR CAME ON DRIVING 55-60 DOWN HIGHWAY. UNKNOWN WHAT THE ISSUE IS AT THIS TIME BUT DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE FOR THE AIRBAG TO BECOME INOPERABLE. HAS TO BE A FAULTY PART AS NO ACCIDENTS TO CAUSE A ISSUE. *TR
SLIGHTLY IN MOTION ABOUT 5 MPH AND SOMETIMES AROUND 50 MPH, THE DIC WILL RESET WITHIN A SPLIT SECOND, THE RADIO WILL CUTOFF AND ALL DASHBOARD SIGNS WILL COME ON MOMENTARILY LIKE A RESET. THIS IS A POSSIBLE ELECTRICAL ISSUE DUE TO FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH, FAULTY ENGINE CONTROL MODULE, IGNITION SWITCH HARNESS SHORTED OR EVEN POOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTION CAUSING VOLTAGE DIFFERENCE

MY LIGHTS ON THE DASH AND RADIO DIMS AND THE RADIO CUTOFF AT ANY GIVEN TIME. THIS IS VERY SERIOUS PROBLEMS BECAUSE THE VEHICLE CAN CUT OFF WHILE I AM DRIVING. I ALSO EXPERIENCE WATER POURING INTO TO MY TRAVERSE RIGHT OVER MY FRONT OVER HEAD LAMPS INSIDE. THERE WAS SO MUCH WATER IT FILLED THE CUP HOLDER AND THE SHIFT WAS WET. THE FRONT WINDSHIELD HAS NEVER BEEN CHANGED AND I DON'T HAVE ANY CRACKS ON MY FRONT WINDOW. I HAVE NO CLUE HOW THE WATER IS COMING INTO MY TRAVERSE FROM THE TOP AND LEAKING IN THROUGH THE FRONT OVER HEAD LAMPS. I HAVE BROUGHT IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP, 1 DAY AGO I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM ANYONE. I ASKED IF IT WAS COMMON, WITH THE TRAVERSE AND I WAS TOLD NO. I OBVIOUSLY THEY LIED, BECAUSE I HAD TO COME ON THIS WEBSITE TO SEE THAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEMS. SO THE WATER MUST BE COMING IN SOMEWHERE FROM THE ROOF AND STAYING RESERVED IN A PARTICULAR AREA UNTIL IT POURS OUT. THE WATER MAY BE THE REASON I AM HAVING THE OTHER ISSUES, AND MAY BE EACH PROBLEMS IS NOT RELATED AT ALL. THIS REPORT IS RELATED TO A KNOWN AND WIDESPREAD COMPUTER GLITCH IN LATE MODEL GM CARS. THE GLITCH SEEMS TO BE TRIGGERED BY OTHER SYSTEM FAULTS WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION CAUSING MULTIPLE FAILURES RENDERING THE CAR UNABLE TO MAINTAIN SPEED OVER 20 MPH OR SO AND ALSO AFFECTING THE BRAKING SYSTEM. OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS 10 MONTHS I HAVE LOST THE COOLANT IN MY AIR CONDITIONER. THEY HAVE FILLED IT SEVERAL TIMES, ADDING DYE, BUT HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE LEAK EVEN THOUGH THEY ACKNOWLEDGED IT WAS LOST. SINCE THE WARRANTY WAS RUNNING OUT WE TOOK IT IN AGAIN AFTER DYE HAD BEEN ADDED AND THEY FINALLY STARTED TO LOOK AT THE EVAPORATORS. THEY COULD NOT THOROUGHLY INSPECT THE FRONT EVAPORATOR SINCE A FULL INSPECTION REQUIRES REMOVAL OF THE DASHBOARD. THEY LOOKED AT THE REAR EVAPORATOR AND FOUND SOME CORROSION (WITH A MIRROR) AND A PINHOLE LEAK.. WHEN THEY WENT TO ORDER A NEW PART AND GM HAD A FOOTNOTE THAT IF THEY WERE ORDERING A REPLACEMENT EVAPORATOR THEY SHOULD ALSO ORDER AND REPLACE THE BLOWER MOTOR SINCE THE COPPER IN THE MOTOR BRUSHES WAS ATTACKING THE ALUMINUM EVAPORATOR. (THE MORE YOU USED THE AC, THE SOONER IT WOULD SHOW UP AND CAUSE THE CORROSION. THIS IS WHY EACH TIME IT TOOK ABOUT 8 MONTHS FOR THE COOLANT TO LEAKED OUT.) BOTH REAR AC PARTS WERE REPLACED BUT THE BLOWER MOTOR FOR THE FRONT EVAPORATOR WAS NOT REPLACED AND THIS MAY ALSO BE GOING BAD. WE WON'T KNOW FOR A WHILE SINCE WE WON'T BE USING THE AC DURING THE FALL AND WINTER MONTHS. ALSO, IF THESE MOTORS CORRODE THE ALUMINUM EVAPORATOR, IT COULD EASILY ATTACK OTHER ALUMINUM PARTS IN THE CAR AND OF COURSE THE COOLANT HAS BEEN LEAKING INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR, BOTH OF WHICH WHICH MAY BE A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN.CHEVROLET WAS AWARE OF THE ISSUE BUT DID NOT TO RECALL THESE CARS SINCE GENERALLY THE ISSUE MAY NOT SHOW UP UNTIL THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY. I HAVE E-MAILS FROM JOHN THORNTON CHEVROLET'S SERVICE MAN ALONG WITH A PICTURE OF THE EVAPORATOR BUT HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO ATTACH THEM TO THIS COMPLAINT FORM.

I WAS SITTING AT A LIGHT AND HEARD CHIMES. THE VEHICLE DISPLAY SHOWED SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, SERVICE STABILITRAK AND TRACTION CONTROL TURNED OFF. WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGED THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE. THERE WAS SOME KIND OF ENGINE LOSS BUT IT DID NOT STALL OUT. THE RADIO AND THE AIR WERE ON AND WORKING FINE. I TRIED MANY ATTEMPTS MULTIPLE TIMES TO GET THE CAR TO MOVE BUT IT WOULD NOT MOVE. THIS INCLUDED PUTTING IT IN PARK AND ALSO TURNING IT ON AND OFF. THE WARNINGS CONTINUED TO FLASH. THEN AFTER ONE ATTEMPT I FELT IT START TO MOVE AT AN EXTREMELY LOW RATE OF SPEED. AS I WAS TURNING INTO A PARKING LOT I FELT SOMETHING CATCH AND THE VEHICLE STARTED MOVING AT A NORMAL SPEED. I TURNED THE VEHICLE ON AND OFF AGAIN ONCE I WAS IN THE PARKING LOT. THE ENGINE LIGHT APPEARED BUT THE SERVICE STABILITRAK AND SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL DID NOT DISPLAY AGAIN. I KNOW FOR A FACT THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS NOT ON WHEN I WAS UNABLE TO MOVE THE VEHICLE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THERE WAS NOTHING DONE TO THE VEHICLE AND I WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAVE TO DUPLICATE IT. I WAS ALSO TOLD THIS WILL OCCUR AGAIN, THE PROBLEM WILL NOT GO AWAY BUT GET PROGRESSIVELY WORSE OVER TIME AND HOPEFULLY THE NEXT TIME THE VEHICLE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO START. I CHECKED NHTSA WEBSITE AND THERE SEEMS TO BE A NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS MADE FOR THE EXACT SAME THING WITH MANY MAKES AND MODELS. THIS IS A LEASE VEHICLE AND I DID CONTACT GM AND HAVE A CASE NUMBER. I UNDERSTAND CARS BREAKDOWN BUT WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS THAT A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUES NEEDS TO BE DUPLICATED BEFORE A PART CAN BE REPLACED. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THERE IS NOT A RECOMMENDED FIX FOR THIS.
3 INSTANCES, SAME PATTERN AT 2000, 19000, AND 31,000 MILES. WHILE IN MOTION, THERE IS A SOUNDING OF WARNING FROM THE DASHBOARD, FOLLOWED BY A LOSS OF VEHICLE ACCELERATION. DASHBOARD READS "SERVICE STABILITRAK, TRACTION CONTROL OFF, AND ENGINE POWER IS REDUCED." THE VEHICLE THEN CANNOT SEEM TO ACCELERATE MORE THAN 10-15 MPH. AFTER TIME, OR IN THIS CASE THE TOW TO THE DEALERSHIP, THE PROBLEM CEASES. THE DEALERSHIPS HAVE ALL QUESTIONED THE LEGITIMACY OF THE INSTANCE, CLAIMING THEY CAN FIND NO REPEAT AND REFERENCING "CARBON BUILD-UP." THE MOST RECENT EVENT WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY FREEWAY WITH CHILDREN IN THE CAR. IT WAS VERY FRIGHTENING AND DANGEROUS.

THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SHUT OFF, CAUSING THE POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES TO STOP FUNCTIONING. AFTER THE INCIDENT, THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT YET DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 29,000.
OUR VEHICLE ONLY HAS 15000 MILES ON IT. I WAS DRIVING OT NORMALLY IN A 35 ZONE ON A CITY STREET AND MY CAR STARTED TO SHAKE AND NOT ACCELERATE. ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS AND BELLS AND WHISTLES STARTED GOING OFF. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK IT INTO MY CHEVY DEALER TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG. AFTER HAVING IT LESS THAN 24 HOURS THEY GAVE IT BACK TO ME SAYING THEY SAW THE WARNING ON THE COMPUTER AND THEY DID NOTHING CAUSE THE CAR ISN'T DOING IT ANYMORE. AFTER DOING RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET, I SEE IT HAS BEEN A PROBLEM WITH THE TRAVERSE SINCE 2011 MODELS. THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP DOES NOTHING TO FIX THIS. I AM TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THIS CAR WITH MY FAMILY AND HAVE US GET IN AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR 1.5 YEARS AND BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS.. MY SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON, AND THEN WOULD GO OFF AND BAG ON AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THAT DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG WAS BAD AND I BOUGHT MY CAR ABOUT 18 MONTHS AGO BRAND NEW. I WAS 10,000 MILES OVER WARRANTY, SO THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT IT WAS NOT COVERED AND I HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. AN AIRBAG ISSUE IS NOT A WEAR AND TEAR ISSUE! NOW 3 WEEKS AFTER HAVING IT SERVICED MY SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AGAIN! I HAVE 3 SMALL KIDS IN MY CAR EVERY DAY AND I AM WORRIED TO BE DRIVING IT. I THINK THAT GM SHOULD TAKE CARE OF THIS ISSUE!!

1.- DURING THE LAST QUARTER OF 2015, THE VEHICLE STARTED FAILING, SHUTTING DOWN ITSELF ON ROAD OR PULLED OVER (RANDOM FAIL) 2.- AFTER SEVERAL DAYS OF 'ANALYSIS', THEY DETERMINED THAT A 'MODULE' WAS DAMAGED AND HAD TO BE EXCHANGED ZERO COST, SINCE THE VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. 3.- AFTER SEVERAL DAYS OF THE CAR ON THE WORKSHOP, THE FINALLY PROVIDE US THE CAR AGAIN, STATING THAT EVERYTHING WAS PROPERLY FIXED AND RESOLVED. 4.- ON JANUARY 2016, VEHICLE SHUTDOWN SURPRISINGLY ON A ROAD AT HIGH SPEED. VEHICLE WAS SOLD IN MEXICO AND DEALERSHIP HAS NOT PROVIDED SATISFACTORY SERVICE
WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN OPERATION IN ANY DRIVING CONDITION THE AIRBAG SERVICE INDICATOR WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON. THIS WAS INTERMITTENT AT FIRST AND THEN STAYED ON AFTER A FEW DAYS. DEALER WILL NOT COVER THIS KEY SAFETY COMPONENT FAILURE. THIS SEEMS TO BE RELATED TO THE LAST RECALL FOR AIRBAG FAILURE ON THE 2009-2013 TRAVERSE MODEL VEHICLES MADE THIS YEAR. THE RECALL FIXES THE YELLOW WIRE HARNESS CONNECTOR FAILURE BY CUTTING IT AWAY AND SPLICING THE WIRES TOGETHER. THERE ARE NOW TECHNICAL BULLETINS OUT FOR THE 2014 TRAVERSES THAT SEEM TO HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. *JS
DEALER HAS TOLD ME THAT THE VEHICLE REGISTERS AN ERROR CODE OF B0022. ACCORDING TO THE DEALER, GM TELLS THEM TO CHECK FOUR WIRES ON THE CONNECTORS TO THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT WIRING HARNESS THAT CAUSES THE CHECK AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE. SPECIFICALLY, GM TELLS THE DEALER TO SOLDER THE CONNECTIONS ON THE FOUR WIRES ON THE CONNECTOR. THE DEALER HAS ALSO TOLD ME THAT IF THE WARNING LIGHT FOR THE AIR BAG SYSTEM IS ILLUMINATED, NONE OF THE AIRBAGS WILL DEPLOY. IN MY OPINION THIS IS A SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW. IF THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT IS ILLUMINATED AND YOU HAVE AN ACCIDENT BEFORE THE PROBLEM IS CORRECTED THIS COULD RESULT IN MAJOR INJURIES. ALSO, A CONNECTOR TERMINATION PROBLEM IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND SHOULD BE CORRECTED BY THE DEALER, ESPECIALLY IN A CRITICAL SAFETY SYSTEM SUCH AS THE AIRBAG SYSTEM.
WHILE IN MOTION, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SPUTTER, THE DASHBOARD AND RADIO WENT BLANK, THE LOCKS IN THE DOORS WENT UP AND DOWN SEVERAL TIMES. I PRESSED THE BRAKE AND WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE CAR AS I WAS APPROACHING A STOP SIGN. I HAD TO ROLL THROUGH THE STOP SIGN AND NARROWLY MISSED BEING HIT AT THE INTERSECTION. WITHIN A FEW SECONDS, THE VEHICLE REGAINED POWER AND I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON 2 OTHER OCCASIONS WHERE THE CAR HAS LOST ELECTRICAL POWER FOR SEVERAL SECONDS WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I ALSO WENT OUT TO MY STATIONARY PARKED CAR AND TRIED TO START IT ONE MORNING. THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY DEAD, LIKE IT HAD A DEAD BATTERY, BUT THE IGNITION WOULD NOT RELEASE MY KEY OR LET ME TURN THE KEY BACK TO THE OFF POSITION. SO I STARTED TO TRY TO GET TO THE BATTERY TO JUMP TH E VEHICLE OFF, BUT BY THE TIME I GOT READY TO DO THIS, I OPENED THE CAR DOOR AND ALL THE LIGHTS CAME BACK ON AND THE CAR STARTED RIGHT UP (BUT WITHOUT A WORKING RADIO THIS TIME). THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS PROBLEM. WE HAVE ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR A FEW MONTHS AND WE HAVE NOW HAD OUR CAR IN A CHEVY DEALERSHIP FOR 15 DAYS AND THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND SO THEY ARE TRYING TO SEND THE VEHICLE HOME WITH US WITHOUT ANY OTHER SOLUTION OTHER THAN TO KEEP DRIVING IT (PUTTING MY FAMILY IN DANGER) AND TRY TO RECORD IT WHEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN (SO I CAN PROVE I'M NOT CRAZY OR JUST MAKING THIS STUFF UP).
