I got the recall letter in June but there still aren't parts to fix it they say , it's the only vehicle I drive but it is terrifying that the airbag is dangerous! I just want it fixed before it hurts or kills one of us, the service airbag light comes on once in a while and stays on longer each time it comes on.
I received a recall notice back in June about a problem with my car's airbag inflator. To this date I still haven't heard from GM or anyone else about getting this potential deadly problem fixed. They indicated that the part to fix the issue isn't available. How can that be?! They issue a recall but don't have the part even months later?! I'm worried about this issue as, according to their own letter, that if the airbag deploys I can possibly be injured or killed! Why don't they have the part?! When am I going to be able to get this issue rectified? I do a lot of driving & on major highways & places where there are many careless dangerous drivers & chances of animals crossing the roadways. GM is putting my life at risk more by not having their safety features be safe! They may be the ones to cause a death. That is simply by not having their safety devices in proper working order & not having the part to correct the device so that this issue can be promptly taken care of! Please let me know asap what can be done so I can get this issue fixed & be safe driving my car without at least this defect to worry about.

There's is an open recall on my vehicle that is unable to be repaired. It is unsafe to drive and may cause death or serious injury if the air bag opens up during a crash. There have not been any warning lights or sounds notifying me of the recall. I received an email about the recall from the dealership and was told there is no fix.

We received a notice from Chevrolet in May of 2023 that our vehicle has been recalled for an issue with the air bag. Manufacturer Recall Number N232404980 NHTSA Recall Number23V334 I have tried Chevrolet and all local dealers so many times and keep getting brushed off that they can't do it. I can't rent the car, I can't use it for Uber/Lyft, I can't sell the vehicle. All because there is an open recall against it for a full year. My airbag light has now been on for several months and I dont want to drive it because of the fear that it might explode. So I pay taxes on a vehicle that mostly sits. I plan to drop it off with the local Cheverolet dealer and make them look at the error again (did it last year too). One year and no fix is unacceptable.
WHILE DRIVING ON VACATION SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND OFF. LATER ON IT CAME BACK ON AND HAS STAYED ON. RAN DIANOGSTICS AND NO CODES AVAILABLE. SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT STILL COMES ON AT EVERY START UP. IS THE VEHICLE SAFE TO DRIVE, WILL THE AIR BAG DEPLOY WHEN NEEDED OR NOT NEEDED???
Chevrolet recalled the airbag in my 2014 Chevrolet Traverse in May due to faulty mechanisms that may release shards of metal during airbag deployment: Takata airbag inflators. After multiple phone calls to both my local Chevrolet dealer and corporate, noone is able to assist me with this matter. The replacement part is unavailable, and they cannot say when it will be available. They are offering no remedy in the interim, e.g. no rental car, etc. I also inquired about the order in which owners would be eligible for replacement when the part is ready, and no information was available. In my last phone call to Chevrolet Customer Service, I was read a statement in which they claimed that customer safety was their first concern, however, it has been three months since the recall and my family is still at risk of serious injury/ death driving in our vehicle.
Automobile suddenly starts trembling while reducing velocity on its own and turn on trac off light, check engine light is on.
I am filing a complaint as the recall for the air bag module was first issued in May 2023. It's been10 months and there is still no remedy to fix the air bag issue. I drive with kids in my car everyday. I fear of getting into an accident and possible metal fragments come out of the airbag and into the interior of my car.

GM had informed about a safety recall on 2023-05-10 (almost an year ago) - NHTSA ID - [XXX] . I have been following up with GM as well as the Chevy Service Dealer and have been informed that a remediation is not available yet. I am not able to sell my car at the price it deserves due to the recall. Also I have not been driving my car long distances due to the Safety Risk Description: An inflator rupture may cause metal fragments to pass through the airbag and into the vehicle interior, which may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants. Can you please direct the manufacturer GM to remediate the issue at the earliest. I dont believe 1 year is a reasonable time to fix a safety issue which has the potential of driver death or permanent disablement. I had purchased this traverse about a year before this recall came out. Well the Recall is over a year old with no solution and everyone refuses to do anything about it. It is unsafe for my family to be in this vehicle with a potential bomb in the steering wheel that will shoot metal at my family and I if the airbag goes off. I need someone to do something about this recall. Fix it, buy the car back, provide a loaner or something. I am tired of taking a gamble on my family's lives because I am stuck with this vehicle.

Nothing has happened yet but it's been on recall for over a year and says my air bag could have metal pieces in air back that can hurt or kill someone. There is no solution to this and it's been on recall since may of 2023
Recall #: 23V334 or N232404980 still shows as incomplete, no remedy available. This recall was announced in May of 2023. We're almost a year and a half out with no solution from GM. I do not feel comfortable driving my vehicle in another Minnesota winter without this fixed. I am a parent of 4 young children who I also drive around daily. This is unacceptable to have a defect with the airbags that is life threatening, and GM has not offered ANY solution.

I have been to two dealerships and there is no remedy for this recall. I asked to have the airbag on the driver side deactivated but was told that this was not possible " legally" because it would put the dealership at risk for liability. Well, GM is at risk for liability if I'm in a crash where this airbag might deploy. Can I have this airbag deactivated while I wait for a remedy? What are my options?
My daughter's safety is at risk driving this car because the airbags have a malfunction and there was a recall in May 2023 and there is no remedy available. This is not acceptable and causing significant financial burden and stress on our family since we can no longer safely drive this vehicle.
I have been receiving warning messages on my dashboard regarding Service The Stabilitrak, followed by Traction Control Off message and then vehicle shaking, losing steering power and engine shutting down for over a year. The issue occurs randomly making it difficult to repair. I have had it serviced multiple times by different mechanics and no one has been able to find a solution due to the random nature of the issue. This poses a risk to the vehicle occupants safety because when unexpectedly and suddenly losing engine power, steering and traction control all at the same time, it is very difficult to safely merge to the shoulder of a roadway. I have been left stranded in many locations including out of town. Due to my research this is a common issue with this vehicle that can be caused by multiple issues. I also have a recall on my air bag and warnings have appeared on my dashboard that has no remedy yet. The vehicle is not safe to drive and I depend on this SUV to transport my family of 7. I am also still financing, making it difficult to keep up with payments while trying to diagnose/ repair.
