The vehicle only has 145,xxx miles and I experience a "shudder" which could be caused by torque converter issues, often felt at highway speeds (approx. 40-60 mph).
There is an open recall on my 2016 Chevrolet Traverse that I have been trying to get resolved for almost 2 years. I finally opened a case with GM (#{XXX]) back on February 15, 2026 in an effort to escalate the repair. I received a call from a GM rep who has been less than helpful telling me the recall was completed in February of 2024 at a dealership in South Carolina. I explained to him that my vehicle is housed in Florida and has never been to South Carolina. It is clear he is not interested in finding a resolution to my issue. He calls once a week to inform me he's working on it and will get back to me next week. This has been going on for a month. My grandchildren are often passengers in this vehicle and I have major concerns for their safety. It should not take 2 years to get this issue resolved. Front lights started dimming about the middle of April 2025 and now both back lights are out at the same time on June 3rd 2025.The car makes a rough grinding noise as it switches gears.
I had to replace the timing chain. I had to replace the Torque Converter. New issues: Interior lights on the dash and radio have been going out while driving. Message center warning has been not working sometimes when using remote start in winter. Sometimes it just goes blank while driving.
The blindspot modules are put behind the wheel well in the bumper exposed to the elements. Water gets in these modules and cause them to swell and fail. Each module is sold at the dealer for $340 a piece and gm recommends you replace both along with the wiring harness. This job if done at the dealer is costing consumers $1300-$1600. If you replace the modules yourself then the dealer charges you a programming fee of $195-$215 in my area. This is a design flaw and other GM vehicles like the Acadia have a recall. Why doesn’t the Chevrolet Traverse have the same?

My vehicle has had issues starting off and on with in the last year of having the vehicle. I replaced the battery and alternator. and now we think it's the neutral safety switch. I went to go check the recalls and I see that I had a recall on the front air bag module needs replaced too. I have not received anything in the mail by the dealership or calls.

Nothing has happened currently but I have reported this issue to have it serviced and was told that since the status is stuck in limbo there is nothing I can do, this isn’t safe for me nor my family taking that risk every day as a every day driver.
We had breaker replaced in May of 2023 and less then a year later we had to have our front breaks replaced again. Only to have to replace them again 3 months later. We have been told the brake system on the Chevy traverse that they are the size of a Honda accord why that is a car size? What the heck this should not be allowed something needs to be done.

Concerned that the airbag recall has been a known death threat for over a year with still no replacement parts. If the parts can't be procured I should be provided a new equivalent car, shouldn't I? It's anxiety inducing to know I could be killed by supposed safety features in my vehicle.
I would like the recall defect fixed on my vehicle. It’s been a year since the recall came out. It’s a serious recall involving possible loss of life and no consumer should be exposed to this deadly risk. Make GM move forward and quickly fix this defect in its cars.

Car seat will not lock into rear facing mode consistently. It slides right through the lock and requires me to turn it back into the lock again. It just spins on the base and I’m worried in a crash the locking mechanism will cause his seat to fly off. I have a video showing what it does.

The big problem when I drive is that it is not safe, it jerks when I start to accelerate. I took it to the nearest dealer to have the problem fixed. And they do not want to fix the problem and now I just want to get this vehicle off the roads. I do not want to cause an accident and put my family at risk.

There has been a recall regarding the airbags for a year now and there's still no remedy available. This is a safety recall that they say could result in death of driver if the airbag module were to explode. This needs to be repaired.
Recall was reported 5/10/2023. I have brought my vehicle to Chevy dealership. Remedy still not available. I am driving with risk of air bag inflator rupture and metal shrapnel. I feel as if this is an unsafe situation and Chevy is not offering any solution.

WE HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO GET A NEW AIRBAG INSTALLED. IN FACT, WE HAD AN EARLY MORNING APPOINTMENT WITH CONCORD CHEVROLET TO HAVE NEW AIRBAGS INSTALLED THAT WERE RECALLED. SOUNDS DANGEROUS TO US IF WE SHOULD BE IN AN ACCIDENT THAT THEY WOULD FIRE METAL PARTS AT US RISKING OUR LIVES. MY HUSBAND TOOK THE CAR IN AS PROMISED, AND WHEN HE GOT THERE THEY SAID THEY DIDIN'T HAVE THE REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS. WHAT IS GOING ON? IT'S BEEN MONTHS NOW. WE DRIVE THE CAR AND PRAY THAT WE DON' GET IIN AN ACCIDENT NEEDING AIRBAGS. CHEVROLET HAS GOT TO FURNISH THEM SOON! NO MORE WAITING AROUND. IS THERE ANY OTHER PLACE WHERE WE CAN FIND THEM???

June 2023 I received notice of a recall. As of today the parts for recall are still unavailable with no ETA. This is taking too long while putting me, a driver, at risk of injury or death if airbag goes off.
