THE CAR STALLS AND SHUTS DOWN WITH NO WARNING AT ALL. HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR THE LAST 3 WEEKS. IT WAS BOUGHT USED FROM DRIVETIME IN DULUTH GEORGIA. I WAS TOLD BY NATIONAL TIRE AND BATTERY THAT THEY WERE NOT GOING TO TOUCH WHEN I TOOK IT THERE FOR REPAIR, THEY RECOMMEND THAT I TAKE IT TO A CHRYSLER DEALER, AT THAT TIME IT WOULD RANDOMLY STALL BUT WOULD START BACK UP SO I WENT TO WORK THE NEXT DAY AND THEY CAR STALLED AGAIN AND GOT REALLY SLUGGISH I WAS ABLE TO MAKE OVER TO CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN BUFORD GEORGIA. THEY SAID IT NEEDED A TIRE SENSOR AFTER THEY PUT THE TIRE SENSOR ON IT STALLED OUT ON THEM AGAIN SO THEY THEN SAID IT NEEDED A ABS MODULAR ONCE THEY INSTALLED THE ABS MODULAR TOOK IT FOR A TEST DRIVE AND IT STALLED ON THEM AGAIN THEN THEY SAID THEY FOUND SOME LOOSE WIRES NEAR THE TRANSMISSION THE FIXED AND THE CAR WAS RUNNING. I HAD THE CAR FOR 2 DAYS AND IT STALLED OUT AGAIN. DRIVETIME THEN SENT A TOW TRUCK OVER TO TAKE THE CAR BACK TO CHRYSLER IN BUFORD NOW THEY ARE SAYING THE CAR NEEDS A WIRING HARNESS AT THIS POINT TO ME THE CAR IS UNSAFE AND NOT RELIABLE AT ALL. I PICK MY GRANDKIDS UP DAILY AND I CAN NOT AFFORD TO HAVE THEM IN THE BACK SEAT AND THE CARS STALLS AND WE GET HIT. OBVIOUSLY THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT WRONG AND THEY ARE SPECULATING. I HAVE ONLY HAD THIS CAR 4 MONTH ON FEBRUARY 12TH 2020 AND IT'S BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR THE LAST 3 WEEKS AND CHRYSLER CAN'T EVEN REPAIR A CHRYSLER... THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM. DRIVETIME IS PAYING FOR EVERYTHING SO FAR EXCEPT OUR FUNERALS GOD FORBID SOMETHING AWFUL SHOULD HAPPEN. THIS ALL HAPPENED ON HIGHWAY 78 IN SNELLVILLE GEORGIA AND THEY CAR WAS IN MOTION WHEN IT STALLED OUT. THIS IS UNSAFE, WE COULD HAVE BEEN RAMMED THE CAR JUST SHUTS DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF ACCELERATING, SLOWING DOWN FOR A TURN, GOING DOWNHILL, IN THE INTERSECTION IT HAS SHUT DOWN BUT THAT TIME IT STARTED RIGHT BACK UP
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. A VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE AS A RESULT, THE FRONT DRIVER SEAT FELL FROM THE FLOOR. *DT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MULTIPLE VERTEBRAL FRACTURES AND A RUPTURED SPLEEN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH A SECOND VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. DURING THE CRASH THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT SEPARATED FROM THE FLOOR OF THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED MULTIPLE FRACTURES OF THE LUMBAR VERTEBRA AND A RUPTURED SPLEEN AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE LOCAL HOSPITAL. A POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN AT THE SCENE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER JUST BETTER CARS (901 RIVERSIDE AVE, ROSEVILLE CA) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 74,000. *DT CONSUMER RAN THE RED LIGHT AND WAS INJURED.*JB
The contact owned a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated while driving approximately 15 MPH and making a left turn, another vehicle crashed into the front passenger’s side of the vehicle. After the contact regained consciousness, he became aware that his head had struck the passenger’s side windshield and was thrown across the vehicle during the incident. The contact stated that the seat belt was still latched; however, had failed to secure him in place during the crash. The contact stated that his passenger seated on the rear passenger’s side was uninjured. The contact sustained injuries to where his left knee was fractured open, a fractured back with ten crushed discs. Medical attention was sought. There was a occupant seated at the rear passenger side at the time of the incident however they did not sustain any injuries. A police report was filed. The air bags did deploy. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.
ON A RETURN TRIP BACK HOME FROM STORE LESS THAN 2 MILES FROM MY HOUSE CAR STALLED AFTER TURNING ONTO A SIDE STREET GOING ONLY A FEW MPH,ENGINE CUT OFF,RADIO WAS STILL ON. WAS ABLE TO PULL INTO THE CLOSEST PARKING LOT, "SHIFT TO P" COMES UP ON DASH, BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON. I PUT THE CAR INTO PARK. TURN IT OFF, TRIED TO RESTART IT AND IT STRUGGLED TO TURN OVER A FEW TIMES BEFORE FINALLY COMING BACK ON. STALLED AGAIN PULLING INTO MY PARKING LOT. NEXT DAY I TRIED TO GO TO THE STORE AGAIN AND SAME THING HAPPENED PULLING INTO STORE AND PULLING INTO PARKING LOT.... THIS HAPPENED A FEW MONTHS BACK, AFTER AN OIL CHANGE IT STOPPED, BUT THIS TIME I AM NOT DUE FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND OIL LEVEL IS FINE.
KEEPS CUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING
EVERY TIME I NEED TO GET SOMEWHERE, I'LL HAVE TO START MY CAR FOR A HOUR AHEAD OF TIME SO IT CAN SAFELY DRIVE WITHOUT DYING. IF I TAKE OFF FROM WHATEVER LOCATION AND NOT START IT FOR A LITTLE BIT, THEN IT WILL CONTINUE DYING ON ME AT LEAST 3 TO 4 TIMES.
AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT COMES AND STAYS ON WHILE DRIVING W/AN ALERT SOUND INDICATOR WHILE DRIVING
MY CAR HAS ISSUES WITH STALLING. IT HAPPENS AT LEAST 3 TIMES A DAY AND ITS WHEN I GO TO SLOW DOWN AT A STOP LIGHT, STOP SIGN OR MAKE A TURN. IT SLOWS DOWN THEN LOOSES POWER. IT EVENTUALLY STARTS BACK UP BUT THIS HAPPENS WITHOUT WARNING AND ALSO IN THE MODDLE OF TRAFFIC.. HATE RO SAY BUT DOES SOMEBODY HAVE RO LOOSE THERE LIFE BEFORE SOMETHING IS DONE ABOUT THIS ISSUE. I'VE COME ACROSS THIS ISSUE WITH 1 MILLION CARS OF THIS MAKE AND MODEL. I CHECKED TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL FOR MY CAR BUT OF THERE WASNT.. IM STUCK WHAT DO I DO???
THIS CAR HAS A PROBLEM WITH CUTTING OFF WITH OUT PROPER LIGHT WARNINGS. IT SHUTS OFF WHILE IN MOTION, WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS. I HAVE TAKING IT TO BE SEEN BUT NO ONE CAN FIND A PROBLEM WITH IT. I HAVE SEARCHED ONLINE AND FOUND PEOPLE OWNING THESE TYPES OF CARS ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. IT IS NOT THE BATTERY STARTER OR ANYTHING OF THAT NATURE SO ITS SOMETHING ELSE. IT HAPPENS WHILE IN MOTION ON CITY STREETS AND MOST DEFFINATELY WHILE MAKING TURNS.

ADDITIONALLY, ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE REAR BACK UP CAMERA ACTIVATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN A FORWARD GEAR. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE RADIO WAS INOPERABLE AND ALSO THAT THE FAN REMAINED IN OPERATION CONSTANTLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE PETERSON CHRYSLER/JEEP/RAM, 4395 FAYETTEVILLE RD, LUMBERTON, NC 28358, WHERE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
THE OTHER DAY I JUST DRIVING DOWN A HILL AND MY CAR JUST SHUT OFF, WHICH WAS VERY SCARY , I PUSH THE START BUTTON A FEW TIMES AND IT STARTS AND DRIVES FINE, TIL TODAY I'M TAKING MY KIDS TO SCHOOL AND IT SHUTS DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC, AND I HAD TIL SIT FOR A COUPLE CAUSE IT WOULDN'T START, FINALLY AFTER PUSHING THE START BUTTON IT STARTED AND THEN A FEW HOURS LATER I STOP AT THE STORE AND THE CAR SHUTS DOWN ONCE AGAIN AS I'M PARKING MY CAR. THIS IS A SERVER HAZARDOUS DRIVING THIS CAR
SO IT ALL STARTED WHEN MY CAR RADIO SHORTED OUT AND WASN'T WORKING AND MY ODOMETER STARTED FLASHING. AFTER ABOUT A WEEK OF DRIVING WITH THE RADIO UNPLUGGED, THE CAR BATTERY STARTS DRAINING ITSELF TO A DEAD BATTERY. NOW THE CAR SITS AND DOESN'T HOLD A CHARGE FOR MORE THAN 1 HOUR. MY DASH LIGHTS UP ON ITS OWN WHEN THE KEY FOBS ARE NOT IN OR NEAR THE CAR. I'VE CHANGED THE BATTERY'S TO THE KEY FOBS AND WHEN I ATTEMPT TO START THE CAR IT STATES THAT THE KEY FOB IS NOT DETECTED.
ENGINE TENDS TO STALL OUT WHEN MAKING SHARP RIGHT TURNS. HAS HAPPENED 2 TIMES NOW, LUCKILY I WAS NEAR A VACANT PARKING LOT TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND RESTART. ONCE STOPPED AND IN PARK, ENGINE HESITATES TO START THEN DRIVES AS IF NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. NO ENGINE CODES, WARNING LIGHTS, OR AURAS TO GIVE SIGHT TO A POTENTIAL PROBLEM.
WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF LEAVING MY HOUSE THE DASH LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING SAYING "ENGINE TEMP HIGH" AND THEN "SERVICE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL" BUT THE BARS THAT LIGHT UP TO SHOW THE ENGINE TEMP WERE GONE. BEFORE THE WARNINGS CAME ON THE CAR SHOWED 2 BARS IN THE TEMP PANEL (FULLY HEATED UP IS NORMALLY 4 BARS). I PULLED OVER AND SHUT THE CAR OFF FOR 15 MINUTES AND NOTHING CAME ON WHEN I STARTED IT. THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON A FEW DAYS AGO AND WHEN IT WAS READ ON THE COMPUTER IT SAID SOMETHING ABOUT THE TEMPERATURE. I'VE CHECKED ONLINE FORUMS AND FOUND AT LEAST 30 OTHER CARS, SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL, HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.
MY CAR RECENTLY JUST STARTED TO JUST TURN OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I JUST BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY AT AUTOZONE WITH A 2 YEAR WARRANTY AND I'M SURE THE BATTERY ISN'T THE ISSUE. IN 2016 I HAD TO HAVE THE ENGINE REPLACED AT MY OWN COST BECAUSE THEY SAID THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE ENGINE. I WAS SO ANGRY BECAUSE I HAD JUST LEASED THE CAR. I DON'T KNOW WHY MY CAR JUST TURNS OFF. I DO THE OIL CHANGES EVERY 4 MONTHA
THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT GOING INTO GEAR WHEN THE KNOB IS TURNED THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS I WAS TOLD THERE WHERE NO OPEN RECALLS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. I FEEL IF THE AUTO MAKER KNOWS ABOUT THIS THEY SHOULD ADDRESS MY CONCERN WITH OR WITHOUT A RECALL.
YOU CAN BE DRIVING AND THE CAR WILL CUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC ALL THE LIGHTS FLASH AND U WILL HAVE TO RESTART IT MAY START THE FIRST TIME IT MAY TAKE MULTIPLE TRY'S BUT I DO HAVE A VIDEO THIS CAR HAS CUT OFF MULTIPLE TIMES ON ME. A BATTERY LIGHT WILL FLASH AFTER THE CAR CUT OFF.
INTERMITENT POWER LOSS IN RADIO AND DASHBOARD
MY CAR WILL LOSE POWER AS I AM DRIVING. I HAVE TO STOP AND SHUT IT OFF THEN RESTART THE CAR AND IT DRIVES FINE. ALSO VALVE COVER GASKET LEAKING OIL. THE SHOP GUYS SAID HE USE TO WORK FOR CHRYSLER AND THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE IN CHRYSLER 200 & 300. ALSO A FEW OTHER CHRYSLER VEHICLES. IF THIS IS A PROBLEM IT SHOULD BE FIXED AND NOT CONTINUE TO USE THE SAME PARTS
AFTER STARTING CAR AND DRIVING FOR A FEW HUNDRED FEET, BATTERY LIGHT WILL FLASH AND THEN ENGINE WILL STALL OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD THE MESSAGE "SHIFT VEHICLE TO PARK (P)" WILL ALSO APPEAR ON THE DASH. AFTER SHIFTING TO PARK AND TURNING OFF, THE ENGINE WILL NOT TURN OVER FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. THE BATTERY LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON ANY OTHER TIME AND THE BATTERY WAS RECENTLY CHANGED.
LOSS OF POWER WHICH CAUSES VEHICLE TO STALL WITHOUT WARNING. 30% OIL AND FULL TANK OF GAS. THE BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON AND THE CAR STALLS AS I APPLY THE BRAKE TO SLOW DOWN AT A STOP. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 SEPARATE OCCASIONS.
MY 2015 CHRYSLER 200 IS SAYING IT CAN'T DETECT THE FOB. THE FOB IS IN THE CAR WITH ME. NOW I HAVE TO START MY CAR BY PUTTING THE FOB AT THE VENT NEAR THE STEER COLUMN. THE BRAKES WAS HARD AND WOULD NOT RELEASE WHEN I PUSH START TO START THE CAR.
I BOUGHT A 2015 CHRYSLER 200C ABOUT 2YEARS AGO. A FEW DAYS AGO MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND HAD IT CHECKED AND THEY SAID THAT MY ENGINE HAVE A DEFECT IN IT WHICH CAUSED THE CYLINDER HEADS TO MALFUNCTION. I WAS TOLD THIS IS COMMON WITH THE V6 ENGINES IN THESE VEHICLES. I WAS TOLD THAT CHRYSLER PUT A EXTENDED WARRANTY ON 2011 MODELS THRU 2014. MY 2015 ALTHOUGH ITHAS THE SAME ENGINE DIDN'T MAKE THE CUT. EVERYONE I CALL SAY MY WARRANTY EXPIRED AND THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO NOW I'M STUCK WITH A CAR THAT I'M PAYING FOR THAT'S PRACTICALLY NO GOOD

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS MORE EVIDENT DURING COLDER WEATHER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE CONTACTED OR INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 101,757.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS AS THE SHIFT TO PARK WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE GEAR SHIFTER DISLODGED IN PARK. THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER PUMPED THE BRAKE PEDAL MULTIPLE TIMES FOR THE SHIFTER TO ENGAGE CORRECTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC FAILED TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. WHILE PERFORMING A VIN SEARCH, THE CONTACT WAS MADE AWARE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V090000 (POWER TRAIN) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000.
TWO TIMES IN THE LAST WEEK MY CAR HAS STALLED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE FIRST TIME I WAS TURNING ONTO A BUSY STREET AND WAS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE AND THE SECOND TIME I WAS ON RAILROAD TRACKS. NO LIGHTS CAME ON TO INDICATE A PROBLEM BEFORE IT SHUT OFF. IT TOOK MULTIPLE TRIES BEFORE THE CAR TURNED BACK ON. NO CODES COME UP WHEN CHECKING FOR A PROBLEM SO MECHANICS HAVE TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO FIX THE ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE RESIDENCE AFTER THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART. THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER WAS THEN ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH THE TRANSMISSION NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED 30 DAYS AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 133,000.
WHEN I ATTEMPT TO TURN MY CAR ON, I RECEIVE A MESSAGE THAT SAYS ENGINE WARMING PLEASE WAIT TO START. I WAIT A FEW MINUTES AND IT'S TURNS ON. WHILE DRIVING TODAY IT TURNED OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AND WHEN I WOULD ATTEMPT TO START IT I WOULD GET THE SAME MESSAGE. CAR WOULD NOT START AT ALL.
THE LIGHT TO GET AIRBAG SERVICED KEEPS COMING ON AND GOING OFF. IT HAS STARTED STALLING RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING OR COMING TO A STOP. NOTICED THAT IT DIDN'T DO IT AS BAD ONCE CAR WAS WARMED UP, BUT THEN IT DROPPED POWER WHILE WE WERE IN TRAFFIC ON A BRIDGE OVERPASS AND WE HAD TO LIMP IT HOME. LOOKED UP THE WARNING LIGHT MEANINGS AND IT SAID WE SHOULD NOT DRIVE IT AS IT WILL EITHER LOSE POWER WITHOUT WARNING AND HAVE TO BE LIMPED OR IT WILL ACCELERATE AND WE WOULD HAVE NO WAY TO STOP IT. SO I HAVE A CAR THAT CANNOT BE DRIVEN AND I HAD SEEN THAT THERE WERE RECALLS FOR SIMILAR PROBLEMS HOWEVER, WHEN I PUT MY VIN NUMBER IN, IT SAID THERE WERE NO UNREPAIRED RECALLS FOR THIS VIN NUMBER.*DT CONSUMER'S HUSBAND AND SON-IN-LAW REPAIRED THE VEHICLE.*JB
WHILE DRIVING THE POWER STEERING. GOES OUT AND IT GIVES "POWER STEERING UNAVAILABLE" PLUS TRACTION CONTROL AND OTHER WARNING LIGHTS COME ON. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES ALL OF WHICH THE VEHICLE WAS MOVING, INCLUDING SEVERAL TIMES WHEN DRIVING ON FREEWAY. I HAVE ALSO HAD THE CAR SUDDENLY LOSE ALL POWER AND I HAD TO RESTART THE CAR. THIS HAPPENED AS EXITING THE FREEWAY. HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO GET AN ANSWER AS TO WHAT IS CAUSING THIS TO OCCUR.
I GOT MY CAR BACK IN MAY OF 2018 AND A COUPLE MONTHS AFTER GETTING IT I ENDED UP NEEDING TO GET A NEW BATTERY I UNDERSTAND THAT BATTERIES ARE NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR FOR ANY VEHICLE BUT I JUST RECENTLY HAD TO GET ANOTHER NEW BATTERY ON JAN 2, 2020 I WAS TOLD THAT MOST 'NEW' BATTERIES LAST ABOUT 3-5 YEARS SO I FIND IT PRETTY ODD THAT I'VE ONLY HAD MY CAR FOR A YEAR AND IT HAS HAD TWO BRAND NEW BATTERIES.
INTERMITTENT TROUBLE BREAKING. SOMETIMES THE PEDAL GETS STIFF, SOMETIMES THE PEDAL CLICKS WHEN TRYING TO BRAKE, SOMETIMES IT FEELS LIKE THE PEDAL IS GOING TO FALL THROUGH THE FLOOR OR BREAK OFF AND ALSO FEELS LIKE THE ENTIRE STEERING COLUMN (STEERING WHEEL AND AXLE CONNECTING THE FRONTT TIRES IS GOING TO BREAK! ALSO FEELS LIKE THE BRAKE PEDAL IS SINKING SOMETIMES AND THAT I CAN'T STOP AND WILL CRASH!! I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP LOOK AT IT BECAUSE IT HAS THROWN SOME SERV AWD CODE TO ME TWICE NOW WHEN PUTTING THE CAR IN DRIVE BUT THEN GOES OUT AND NO CODES ARE ABLE TO BE READ BUT THIS HAPPENS CONCURRENTLY WITH SUDDEN BRAKING ISSUES IT SEEMS LIKE! HAPPENS USUALLY WHEN SLOWING DOWN QUICKLY BUT CAN HAPPEN AT ANYTIME AND HAS VARIED IN CONDITIONS AS TO WHEN THE PROBLEM FLARED UP.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that the driver’s side air bag warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the contact was informed that the wiring harnesses in the driver’s and passenger’s side air bags needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V114000 (Air Bags, Seats). The contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
MY CAR FREQUENTLY SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING AND IT'LL STALL. MOST OF THE TIME IT STARTS BACK UP AND RUNS LIKE NOTHING HAPPENS WITH NO LIGHTS WHEN I GOT IT CHECKED IT WAS NO FOUND ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE REGARDING THE ENGINE, POWER TRAIN ETC. IT'S IN GOOD CONDITION AND WELL MAINTAINED. I'M NOT SURE OF THE ISSUE I DID RESEARCH THAT OTHER VEHICLES HAVE BEEN RECALLED DUE TO THIS ISSUE AND WHEN I LOOKED AT THE COMPLAINTS IT'S EXACTLY WHAT MY CAR DOES
GEARS SWITCH TO NEUTRAL FROM OTHER GEARS AUTOMATICALLY
SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING MY CAR THE ENGINE HAD COMPLETELY SHUT OFF STOPPING ME IN TRAFFIC. ONCE I WAS TRYING TO MAKE A TURN, TWICE I WAS STUCK IN A BUSY INTERSECTION, I TURNED ON MY HAZARD LIGHTS EACH TIME. EVERYTIME THE LIGHTS FOR THE GEARS WAS FLASHING BACK N FORTH BETWEEN THE GEARS.. I TURNED THE CAR OFF WAITED AWHILE, EVERY-TIME I BECAME A SITTING DUCK. I'M AFRAID I'M GOING TO BE KILLED IN THIS CAR. HOPEFULLY THIS CAR IS A RECALL. BELOW I LISTED THE MOST RECENT DATE.
The seals on the bottom of the oil filter adapter housing failed, causing oil and coolant to leak out of the engine. The safety of myself and others is put at risk because if enough oil or coolant leaks out, engine overheating or failure will occur, possibly while the vehicle is in motion. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. It is a widely known issue with the 3.6L Pentastar engine and is well documented in 100s of videos on youtube by third party mechanics, dealer mechanics, and DIYers. My vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, as it is out of the warranty period. Warnings include low coolant and low engine oil. The skid plate under the front of the car was also soaked, causing puddles of oil and coolant to form underneath the car onto the ground.
I PURCHASED THIS CAR BRAND NEW AND I'VE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM TO THE CURRENT DATE. THE CAR ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF WHILE I AM DRIVING. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WAS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM AND THEY UPDATED THE SOFTWARE. THE CAR WORKED FINE FOR A WHILE AND THEN STARTED TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I TOOK THE CAR BACK AND THE DEALERSHIP SAID THERE WAS NO PROBLEM FOUND WITH THE CAR. NOW THE CAR IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND I'M STUCK WITH THIS PROBLEM AND A PAYMENT FOR THIS DEATH TRAP. THIS PAST WEEK THE CAR HAS STALLED MULTIPLE TIMES. IT WILL SHUT OFF AND THE "D" LIGHT WILL BLINK. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK, SHUT IT OFF, AND THEN TRY TO RESTART. IT STRUGGLES TO RESTART, AND THEN WILL FINALLY START. THIS HAPPENED WHILE I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN AND LEFT MY FAMILY AND I COASTING IN FRONT OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I HAVE MADE A RIGHT HAND TURN AND THE CAR ENGINE SHUT OFF CAUSING THE CAR BEHIND ME TO SLA. ON BRAKES AND DRIVE UP ON THE SIDEWALK. THIS ISSUE IS VERY DANGEROUS. MY CAR IS NOT LISTED UNDER A RECALL, BUT IT IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS CHRYSLER 200'S THAT ARE BEING RECALLED. TRADING THIS CAR WILL ONLY SET UP ANOTHER BUYER BECAUSE THIS ISSUE IS NOT DETECTABLE. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR ANY OTHER CAUTION LIGHT COMES ON.
I HAVE BEEN NOTICING THAT THE PASSANGER SIDE INTERIOR OF THE CAR IS SOAKED. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A WHILE NOW AND I CAN NOT FIGURE OUT WHERE THE LIQUID IS COMING FROM. IT GETS SOAKED FROM THE FRONT ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK.

MY TRANSMISSION JERKS VERY BAD IN BETWEEN EVERY GEAR. ONE MORING I WAS DRIVING OUT OF MY HOUSE AND I HEARD A LOUD POP FROM UNDER THE CAR AND SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING I SEE EVERY OTHER 200 IS ON THE RECALL FOR THE TRANSMISSION BUT THIS ONE I REALLY WISH SOMEONE WOULD LOOK IN TO IT . THE DEALER SAID IT'S NORMAL FOR THE CAR TO SHAKE AND JERK I WORK ON CARS THAT'S NOT TRUE.
OVER THE LAST 3-4 DAYS MY 2015 CHRYSLER 200 HAS BEEN VERY UNPREDICTABLE, LEAVING MY SELF AND MY FAMILY AFRAID AND UNABLE TO DRIVE IT. OBVIOUSLY, I HAD STARTED AND SHIFTED TO DRIVE TO GET FROM POINT A TO MY "SHUT DOWN" LOCATION, WHICH LEAVES ME CONFUSED ON WHY IT WOULD SAY I WAS IN PARK ALL OF THE SUDDEN. NO, MY EMERGENCY BREAK WAS NOT ON. ALSO, IT ALSO SEEMS AS IF IT WAS TRY STICKING IN EITHER D3 OR D4 GEARS RANDOMLY FROM TIME TO TIME OVER THE LAST WEEK. I WAS HELPED BY 3 OFFICERS TO GET MY VEHICLE PUSHED AND MOVED BACK TO MY RESIDENCE. THIS LAST INCIDENT OCCURRED WHILE TRYING TO BREAK AT A STOP LIGHT. I AM UNSURE OF THE COMPONENTS CAUSING THESE PROBLEMS SO I AM LISTING THEM AS UNKNOWN. I HAVE REVIEWED 8 RECALLS PERTAINING 2015 CHRYSLER 200S BUT AM UNSURE OF A RECALL NUMBER I WOULD LIST.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MCHUGH CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT (740-868-1719, LOCATED AT 3420 MAPLE AVE, ZANESVILLE, OH 43701) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ADAPTER HOUSING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,723. THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE WARRANTY WAS NOT HONORED. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THERE WAS NO WARRANTY.*JS.
AS I ENTERED ONTO THE FREEWAY, MY CAR TURNED OFF. LIGHTS BEGAN TO BLINK REPEATEDLY. I LOST TOTAL CONTROL OF STEERING. I COULD NOT PULL OVER OR STOP IMMEDIATELY. ALL THIS WHILE STILL IN DRIVE. I WAS ABLE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK. I ATTEMPTED TO ATART THE ENGINE, IT TOOK SEVERAL SECONDS BUT STARTED. I WAS TERRIFIED.
AS I AM DRIVING THE PARKWAY GOING ABOUT 60 MPH MY CAR WITH OUT ANY WARNING STARTED WITH FLASHING RED ON THE DASHBOARD. THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE STARTED GOING FROM HOT TO COLD AND THE ENGINE SYMBOL FLASHED ON DASH BOARD. I WAS IN THE LEFT HAND LANE WITH A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC PASSING ME. WITHIN 2-3 MINUTES AS I STARTED TO GO DOWN HILL THE DASH FLASHED STEERING WILL BE DISABLED, THEN AUTOBRADING WITH BE DISABLED. THE RADIO AT THIS POINT SHUT OFF AND IT WAS DIFFICULT TO STEER THE CAR. THERE WAS LITTLE ACCELERATION WHEN I TRIED TO GIVE IT GAS TO KEEP WITH THE PACE OF THE OTHER VEHICLES ATTEMPTING TO MOVE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I PUT MY HAZARDOUS FLASHERS ON BUT BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE A DASH BOARD SCREEN I WAS SURE THEY WERE WORKING EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL SEEMED TO BE OFF. I FINALLY MADE IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE CAR WENT ABOUT 3 FEET AND STOPPED. I WAS NOT ABLE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK ONCE I GOT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. IT WAS DIFFICULT FOR THE TOW COMPANY TO PULL THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE WHEELS WERE LOCKED AND THEY HAD TO USE SPECIAL EQUIPMENT.

THE EMERGENCY BREAK CUTS ON FOR NO REASON. THE CAR STALLS AFTER STOPPING. THE CAR CUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING ONE TIME. MY CAR WOULD NOT START (LIGHTS, ALARM WERE ON) BUT THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START.
