was driving and pulling in next to garage heard a loud pop and brake pedal when hard and could not stop the car and hit the side of the garage . safty issue is if i was at a higher speed and light turns red would not have been able to stop the car and would have hit another car or person , there was no warning lights on till after the pop when the red brake light came on, and said service eltric brakes it has been looked at by me and it has the same iisues that the dodge dart had for the recall r63 with the brake booster geting oil in it from the vacuum tube assembly have called chrysler and they said it is not and issue but it is a safty issue
2 weeks ago on approximately May 14th I was backing out of my drive way and my brake pedal was hard and I was barely able to stop my car. It takes approximately 3 to 4 car lengths to fully stop at 10 mph. I replaced the brakes and bled the brakes properly but I have come to the conclusion that the brake booster has gone bad. My safety and others is at risk due to the length of time it takes to stop and the lack of stopping power. I am unable to take it to a dealer as it doesn't run at the present time. The abs and park brake lights were on and the dash says to service electronic braking system. I am trying to get this fixed asap as I need transportation to and from work and I am not trying to put my wife or son in any danger.
My emergency brake deploys while driving. I’ve almost died 3x. Have proof of reporting and photos .. now my car is wrecked. I need help.
SO I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE TO PUNCH IN A NUMBER AT THE CAR WASH AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE BRAKE DID SOMETHING BUT MY CAR STARTED ROLLING WHILE IT WAS IN DRIVE WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE SO AND THEN THE BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON AND I HAD TO LIKE LITERALLY PUSH THE BRAKE ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOORBOARD AND I WOULD TAKE IT OUT OF GEAR AND IT WOULD JUST ROLL WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE SO I TAKE IT TO THE MECHANIC THE SERVICE CHRYSLER CENTER WHERE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED AND THEY SAY IT'S THE BRAKE BOOSTER I WENT AND GOT A SECOND OPINION BECAUSE THE BRAKE BOOSTER RARELY EVER SOMETHING THAT NEEDS REPLACED ESPECIALLY ON A 2016 VEHICLE AND IF IT DOES IT'S ONLY ON VEHICLES THAT ARE OVER 150,000 MILES OR AN OLDER VEHICLE SO I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER MECHANIC TO GET A SECOND OPINION AND THEY SAID THAT IT WAS THE VACUUM LINE TO BRAKE BOOSTER NEEDED TO BE UPGRADED BC OIL IS LEAKING INTO BOOSTER AND THE DEALERSHIP SHOULD'VE DID THAT BEFORE IT WAS SOLD TO ME AND THAT IT SHOULD BE A RECALL AND IT'S GOING TO COST $717 WHICH I CANNOT AFFORD ESPECIALLY DURING THIS PANDEMIC BECAUSE I'M NOT AN ESSENTIAL WORKER AND I DO NOT RECEIVE UNEMPLOYMENT AND THERE'S ONLY 29,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ABS INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND WENT OFF. THE FAILURE RECURRED RANDOMLY. LATER, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE WHILE THE ABS INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED, AND THE VEHICLE DID NOT START. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,854.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE TRAFFIC CAME TO A STOP DUE TO CONSTRUCTION. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED TO THE FLOORBOARD. THE CONTACT MERGED TO THE ROAD SHOULDER IN ORDER TO AVOID A CRASH. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED AT LEAST FIFTEEN OTHER TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HOOMAN CHRYSLER IN INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA THREE TIMES AND TWO OTHER TIMES TO SAN LEANDRO CHRYSLER IN SAN LEANDRO, CALIFORNIA WERE THE VEHICLE WAS EVALUATED BY A MASTER FIELD MECHANIC. ADJUSTMENTS WERE MADE TO THE FRAME BOLTS AND THE ROTORS WERE ADJUSTED BECAUSE THE WEAR WAS UNEVEN; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 30790480. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000.
MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING IN TRAFFIC AS THE FOOT BRAKE GAVE OUT. HE HAD TO STEP AS HARD AS HE COULD WITH BOTH FEET ON THE BRAKE IN ORDER TO GET IT TO STOP. AT THE SAME TIME THE PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED ITSELF AND MADE DRIVING ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. YOU COULDN'T TURN IT OFF. AFTER TURNING OFF THE CAR, THE BRAKES STILL WON'T WORK, BUT THE PARK BREAK WAS BACK TO NORMAL. IF YOU GET THE CAR TO A HALT AND PUT IT IN PARK, IT KEEPS ON DRIVING, AS SOON AS YOU DARE TO SLIGHTLY LET GO OF THE BRAKE. YOUR ONLY WAY TO STOP THIS CAR IS TO ENGAGE THE PARK BRAKE AND HOPE THAT IT GRABS. CAR IS AT THE DEALERSHIP WITH NO INFORMATION AVAILABLE, CHRYSLER IS CONTACTED. THIS IS FOR SURE SCARY, GIVEN THAT MY SON WAS IN THE CAR AS WELL.
EMERGENCY BRAKE HAS COME ON TWICE WITHOUT ME ACTIVATING IT----I SLOWED DOWN AT RED LIGHT, WENT TO PULL OUT AND COULD NOT BECAUSE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS ON.
