TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STATED AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED FOR A WHILE AND SHE ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE IT THE GEAR SHIFT WOULD NOT ENGAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO ADVISED HER THAT THE SHIFT MECHANISM FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE SHIFT MECHANISM WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 43,730.
SHIFTER-TRANSMISSION PART # 68091341AA BROKE. THEREFORE I COULD NOT BACK THE CAR OUT OF MY GARAGE ABD HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER. HE SAID PART IS NOT A RECALLED ITEM FOR MY CAR, BUT IT IS FOR LOTS OF OTHER CARS LIKE MINE, BUT IT WAS NOT BUILT IN A DEFECTIVE PLANT!. I GOT CHARGED $269.01 PLUS ABOUT $100 FOR TOWING COSTS. I ALSO GOT CHARGED ANOTHER $15.00 FOR TWO VISOR CLIPS. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THEY HAVE FAILED. *KB
2005 CHRYSLER 300 WAS PARKED IN GARAGE OVER NIGHT WHEN WE WENT TO START VEHICLE IT STARTED JUST FINE BUT IT WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK TO REVERSE TO GET OUT OF GARAGE. THIS HAPPENED ON JUNE 18 2011. COME TO FIND OUT IT WAS A SPRING THAT HAD BROKE OFF FROM A PIECE OF PLASTIC DOWN IN THE SHIFTER THAT HAD BROKE. *KB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS STUCK IN THE PARK POSITION. THE OVERRIDE SWITCH TO MANUALLY SHIFT THE GEAR FROM PARK, WAS ALSO DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER, WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT DID NOT ASSIST THE CONTACT WITH THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 117,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
I I HAVE TWO CHRYSLERS AND BOTH OF THEM HAD THE SHIFTERS FREEZE ON THEM THEY RECALLED THE COVERTABLE BUT NOT THE 300C MY FRIEND CALLED ME YESTERDAY HE HAS THE MAGNUM AND HIS SHIFTER FROZE FROM WHAT I IS THAT ALMOST ALL THE SHIFTERS ARE FREEZING AND CHRYSLER IS NOT RECALLING THEN BUT CHARGING THE CUSTORMERS TO REPLACE THEM BESIDES THE TOWING FEE BECAUSE YOU CANT MOVE THE CARS ONCE THE SHIFTER FREEZES. *TT

MY CAR IS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300 WITH 72000 MILES I'VE READ SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ON YOUR SITE EVEN WITH ONE BURNING THE ELECTRICAL HARNESS IS DEFECTIVE AND THE BOX IN THE TRUNK NET TO THE BATTERY IS WHAT STARTED SMOKING IT STARTED WITH MY KEY LESS ENTRY I CONTACTED DODGE THEY GAVE ME A CASE NUMBER 20919841 THE REPAIR WILL BE 3700 WITH THEM WILLING TO PAY PART THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS I'M 62 AND DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY I REALLY THINK IT SHOULD BE A RECALL FROM ALL I'VE READ ON YOUR SITE HOW MANY COMPLAINTS DO
AFTER REFUELING NORMALLY, VEHICLE STALLS RANDOMLY AND WITHOUT WARNING FOR APPROXIMATELY THE NEXT 10-20 MILES DRIVEN. CHRYSLER INTERNET FORUM MEMBERS CITE A BAD VALVE IN THE FUEL EMISSIONS SYSTEM AND THE CORRECTIVE MEASURE IS TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE FUEL TANK FOR A COST OF $700. I THINK THIS SHOULD BE COVERED BY CHRYSLER UNDER THE FEDERAL EMISSIONS WARRANTY AND BECAUSE THE VEHICLE STALLS WITHOUT WARNING, IT CAN BE QUITE DANGEROUS, THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED. WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHER SPEEDS THE VEHICLE WOULD LUNGE FORWARD. NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 04V334000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:BATTERY:CABLES) MAY ALSO BE RELATED TO THE RECENT FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000. I FIRST HAD PROBLEMS ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO WHEN I COULD NOT GET MY CAR OUT OF PARK. THIS HAPPENED PERIODICALLY. I WAS ALSO HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION. I TOOK IT INTO A TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST. THE TWO PROBLEMS WERE UNRELATED. THE TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST SAID MY SHIFTER HAD TO BE REPLACED. I WAS OUT OF TOWN AT THE TIME, SO I TOLD THEM TO REPLACE IT. LATER, I HAPPENED ON CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION K39 TRANSMISSION SHIFTER INTERLOCK LEVER ISSUED BY CHRYSLER. CHRYSLER COULD NOT PROVIDE ME WITH THE DATE OF ISSUE OF THIS NOTIFICATION. THE NOTIFICATION STATES IT APPLIES TO "SOME 2005 THROUGH 2007 MODEL YEAR DODGE CHARGER, MAGNUM AND CHRYSLER 300 EQUIPPED WITH A FLOOR SHIFTER." IT REFERS TO AN "INABILITY TO MOVE THE GEAR SHIFT LEVER OUT OF THE ''PARK'' POSITION." IT FURTHER STATES "IF YOU HAVE ALREADY EXPERIENCED THIS CONDITION AND HAVE PAID TO HAVE IT REPAIRED, PLEASE SEND YOUR ORIGINAL RECEIPTS...ONCE WE RECEIVE AND VERIFY THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS, REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE SENT TO YOU WITHIN 60 DAYS." I SENT IN THE REQUESTED MATERIALS. I WAS INFORMED CHRYSLER WOULD NOT REIMBURSEMENT ME BECAUSE MY CAR WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. I FIND THIS HARD TO ACCEPT. THERE WAS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM WITH SHIFTER INTERLOCK LEVERS, BUT FOR SOME REASON CHRYSLER IS ONLY RECALLING SOME OF THE PROBLEMS, NOT ALL OF THEM. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300C. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH WHEN THE TRANSMISSION FAILED TO RESPOND AND THE ENGINE RPMS BEGAN TO INCREASE RAPIDLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE THEY DETECTED THAT THE TRANSMISSION DEEP STICK WAS COMPLETELY RUSTED AND MELTED ONTO THE TRANSMISSION. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED. THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 05V460000 (POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION) BUT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 47,000.
WE ARE A USED CAR DEALERSHIP AND WE HAVE SOLD A NUMBER OF CHRYSLERS. RECENTLY WE HAVE BEEN HAVING COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME PROBLEM; THE SHIFTER GETS STUCK IN PARK AND RENDERS THE VEHICLE INOPERABLE. ONE OF THE VEHICLES THAT HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM IS VIN# [XXX] (2005 CHRYSLER 300). THE ENTIRE SHIFTER ASSEMBLY MAY NEED TO BE REPLACED. AFTER FILL UP, THE CAR STALLS AT SLOW SPEED 3 - 4 TIMES BEFORE STAYING RUNNING. THIS HAS HAPPENED FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOT DEPENDENT ON TYPE OF GAS, WEATHER, OVERFILL, ETC. VERY DANGEROUS. CONSEQUENTLY WE ONLY FILL THE CAR TO 3/4 FULL. *JS
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET WHEN THE CAR SLOWED DOWN EVEN THOUGH THE RPM'S WENT UP AS I TRIED TO ACCELERATE. I BROUGHT THE CAR IN AND THE VALVE PUMP IN THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACE. ONE WEEK LATER THE CAR FAILED AGAIN IN THE SAME MANNER. THE SECOND TIME I HAD TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED. HAD THE TRAFFIC BEEN DIFFERENT OR SOMEONE WITH LESS EXPERIENCE BEEN DRIVING, IT COULD HAVE EASILY RESULTED IN A FATALITY OR INJURY. THERE WAS NO WAY A DRIVER COULD AVOID AN ACCIDENT FROM THE REAR AT THAT POINT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 10 MPH WHEN A BANGING NOISE WAS HEARD FROM THE FRONT SUSPENSION. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO NOTICED A DEFECT IN THE TENSION STRUT ARM, WHICH WAS DETACHING AT THE BALL JOINT. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT IF THE TENSION STRUT ARM DISCONNECTED FROM THE BALL JOINT, THE FRONT TIRES WOULD BECOME INOPERABLE. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE TENSION ARM STRUTS WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT DID NOT REPLACE THE TENSION STRUT ARMS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AS WAS 70,000. FORM RETURNED NO CHANGE UPDATED 04/30/12 *BF
AFTER FUELING THE CAR, IT STALLED UNEXPECTEDLY. THIS WAS ABOUT 30,000 MILES AGO. THE PROBLEM HAS GOTTEN MORE FREQUENT. NOW, AT 137,000 MILES, THE CAR ALWAYS STALLS OR TRIES TO STALL AFTER FUELING. I HAVE ADAPTED TO THE PROBLEM BY ALWAYS FUELING UP AT A STATION THAT IS ADJACENT TO AN ONRAMP. I GET THE CAR ONTO THE FREEWAY RIGHT AWAY AND RUN IT AT 65 OR SO MPH.... TO FAST FOR THE CAR TO STALL. IT JUST RUNS ROUGH FOR A FEW SECONDS EVERY FEW MINUTES FOR 5 OR 10 MINUTES, THEN RUNS FINE. IT IS PROBABLY UNWISE TO PUT A CAR ON THE ROAD WITH A KNOWN STALL PROBLEM, BUT I COULD SAY THE SAME THING ABOUT THE PEOPLE AT CHRYSLER. *TR

THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAG WAS DEFECTIVE, BUT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHAT CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT RECENTLY RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V313000 (AIR BAGS). THE RECALL REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED; HOWEVER, IT FAILED TO ADDRESS THE INITIAL FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
WHEN FILLING UP THE CAR, WHEN I COME TO AN IDLE...THE CAR DIES. HAPPENS EVERY TIME WE FILL UP THE CAR AND HAPPENS MULTIPLE TIMES AFTER IT'S FILLED. WHEN WE DON'T FILL UP THE CAR, IT NEVER HAPPENS. DRIVING AT NIGHT ON A RURAL DIVIDED HIGHWAY AT APPROX 65MPH ALL EXTERNAL LIGHTS GO OUT. ALL DASH, NAVIGATION, AND WARNING LIGHTS TURN ON FULL BRIGHTNESS. COULD NOT SEE OUTSIDE. HAD TO COME TO AN IMMEDIATE STOP. RESTARTED VEHICLE AND LIGHTS OPERATED NORMALLY. HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE. SEEMS TO HAPPEN OFTEN MORE WHEN COLD OUTSIDE. *TR

EVERY TIME THE CAR IS REFUELD, IT STALLS. ALSO, IT HESTITATES WHILE DRIVING FOR A FEW MILES. THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED, IT ALSO WOULD NOT ENGAGE INTO DRIVE. IT TOOK NUMEROUS SHIFTS FROM PARK TO DRIVE TO GET IT TO ENGAGE.
WHEN I FILLED UP MY 2005 CHRYSLER WITH GAS ON JAN. 9TH WITH THE TANK JUST 1/2 FULL AT THE TIME, I DIDN'T EVEN MAKE IT OUT OF THE GAS STATION AND IT KILLED ON ME. THEN I RESTARTED IT AND WITHIN 2 BLOCKS IT KILLED AGAIN LOSING ALL POWER TO THE CAR. I HAVE FILLED UP TWICE SINCE THEN, WITH THE GAS TANK BEING AT 1/4-1/2 FULL EACH TIME. IT HAS STALLED OUT EACH TIME, TWICE WITHIN 2 BLOCKS OF EACH OTHER. RIGHT BEFORE IT KILLS, IT CHUGS AND LURCHES AND THEN JUST QUITS RUNNING. THE LAST TIME WAS YESTERDAY, JAN. 18TH. THIS TIME I WAS ALMOST HIT FROM BEHIND AS I PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND PUT ON MY HAZARD LIGHTS. *TR

THE CONTACT WAS ASSISTED BY A PERSONAL MECHANIC WHO WAS ABLE TO TEMPORARILY REPAIR THE VEHICLE BY RELEASING A SPRING FROM THE GEAR SHIFTER. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE SHIFTER TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,800.
CAR STALLS ABOUT 1 MILE AFTER FILLING UP WITH GAS. HAS STALLED GOING LOW AND HIGH SPEEDS, LEAVING ME WITH VERY LITTLE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE .A MECHANIC RECOMMENDED THAT I FILL UP BEFORE ITS UNDER HALF FULL BUT THAT DOESN'T SEEM TO HELP ANY. NOW I FILL UP BEFORE I GO INTO A NEARBY GROCERY STORE AND AFTERWARDS I START THE CAR A FEW TIMES AND IT SEEMS TO PREVENT IT FROM STALLING. LAST WEEK MY HUSBAND DECIDED TO DRIVE IT TO WORK (LONG DRIVE) AND DIDN'T TAKE MY ADVICE DURING FILL UP AND IT STALLED SHORTLY AFTER GETTING ON THE HIGHWAY. *TR

SHE STATED THAT SHE SUSPECTED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXPERIENCING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. AFTER FILLING THE GAS TANK THE CAR WILL STALL WHEN DRIVING. THIS HAPPENS FOR SEVERAL MILES AND WHILE IN TRAFFIC. I HAVE COME CLOSE TO GETTING INTO AN ACCIDENT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. I HAVE LOOKED ON LINE AND I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WITH THIS PROBLEM. *TR
CANNOT USE SIDE MIRRORS. THE MIRROR LOOKS LIKE IT HAS SOMETHING GROWING INSIDE IT. IT APPEARS TO BE A GLASS FAILURE. I CANT SEE CARS BEHIND ME USING THESE MIRRORS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE HEADLIGHTS AND THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTING BEGAN TO FLASH ON AND OFF UNTIL THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED COMPLETELY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTICS BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

I DROVE MY CHRYSLER 300 HOME A PARKED IN MY GARAGE. THE NEXT DAY I COULD NOT SHIFT IT OUT OF PARK. 11/18/10, I HAD IT TOWED TO A CHRYSLER DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE GEAR SHIFT ASSEMBLY. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE DEALER REPLACE FOUR TO FIVE PER WEEK AND THAT THE TOWN OF 7000 PEOPLE 12 CHRYSLER 300 HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND THAT ONE LADY WAS ON HER THIRD REPLACEMENT. THE CLOSEST DEALER IS 40 MILES AND THE TOW CHARGE IS $125. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE HAS NOT BEEN ENOUGH PROBLEMS FOR A RECALL. APPARENTLY THEY DON'T LOOK AT THE INTERNET. *TR
AFTER FILLING THE CAR UP WITH THE CORRECT GASOLINE THE CAR STALLED AND TURNED COMPLETELY OFF AFTER SPUTTERING FOR THE NEXT TEN MILES OR SO. UPON STARTING IT UP IT TAKES TIME FOR THE TRANSMISSION TO ENGAGE. SINCE THAT TIME IT HAS STALLED EVERY TIME FOR THE NEXT TEN MILES OR SO AFTER FUELING. IT HAS SHUT COMPLETELY OFF ONCE WHILE TURNING IN AN INTERSECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFTER KEY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS AFTER THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000.
WITH NO WARNING CAR WILL NOT GO INTO REVERSE, CAR DOES START AND WHEELS MOVE BUT WILL NOT GO INTO GEAR. RESEARCHED ON LINE AND FOUND THAT SEVERAL PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM. PROBLEMS WITH THE PINK RELEASE LEVER TO GET THE CAR IN GEAR. *TR

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,850 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 93,859.
2005 CHRYSLER 300C W/ 5.7L WHILE DRIVING @ APPROX 35MPH, VEHICLE WOULD DROP OUT OF GEAR AS IF IN NEUTRAL, CHECK ENG LIGHT CAME ON, SETTING P700 & P701 PLUS EGR PROB. IF CAR WAS STEERED TO SAFE AREA AND TURNED OFF THEN RE-STARTED, PROB WOULD MOMENTARILY RESOLVE ITSELF BECOMING INTERMITTENT @ VARIOUS SPEEDS OR ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS. R&R OF EGR ASSEMBLY AND CLEANING, THEN CLEARING OF CODES SEEMS TO HAVE RESOLVED THE PROB. PROBLEM STARTED ON OCT 16, 2010, REPAIR PERFORMED ON OCTOBER 19, 2010 AND HAS NOT RETURNED. MY CHRYSLER 300 GEAR SHIFT STICKS IN PARK. *TR
ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO, MY GEAR SHIFT STARTED "STICKING" IN PARK. WOULD NOT GO INTO REVERSE WITHOUT A LOT OF COAXING. WHAT I DID WAS TO KEEP PUMPING THE BRAKES AND AFTER ABOUT 10 OR SO PUMPS, THE GEAR SHIFT WOULD RELEASE. MORE RECENTLY, MY CAR WILL JUST DIE EVEN WHEN I AM GOING OVER 40 MPH. MOST OF THE TIME, I CAN JUST SHIFT IT INTO NEUTRAL AND RESTART IT. I AM NOT SURE OF WHAT THE OUTCOME WOULD BE IF I WERE PERHAPS GOING AROUND A CORNER SINCE THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT WHEN THIS OCCURS. ACTUALLY AS I THINK ABOUT IT, IT ALSO DID THIS WHEN IT WAS BRAND NEW, WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THERE WAS NO RECORD OF IT ON THE COMPUTER THEREFORE THEY COULD NOT FIX IT. *TR
EARLY BUILD 2005 300C WITH LOW MILES PURCHASED USED 3/11. DRIVEN PRIMARILY AS A HIGHWAY CAR RECENTLY WE STARTED USE MORE IN TOWN. I HAD READ ALL THE VARIOUS PROBLEMS HAD WITH WINDOWS (NOT WORKING) AND PULLING TO THE RIGHT AND HAD BOTH OF THOSE ISSUES BUT NOT THE ENGINE STALL ISSUE UNTIL OCTOBER. I READ ABOUT NOT FILLING ONE OUNCE BEYOND WHEN THE PUMP SHUTS OFF BUT MY OBSERVATION IS EVEN THAT NOW IS TOO MUCH. WHENEVER THE CAR IS FILLED UP, IT WILL STALL/SHUT DOWN 3-6 TIMES IN THE NEXT 2-3 MILES OF CITY DRIVING. NO STUTTER, JUST SHUTS DOWN COMPLETELY. I'VE TRIED SHIFTING TO NEUTRAL AND RACING THE ENGINE WHEN PULLING UP TO STOP SIGNS TO KEEP IT FROM STALLING, WITH LIMITED SUCCESS. NOT THAT I AM RECOMMENDING THAT BUT BETTER THAN DYING WHEN YOU EXPECT IT TO ACCELERATE. A SOMEWHAT SIMILAR EXPERIENCE WHEN GETTING ONTO THE ON-RAMP BUT MORE OF A STUTTER SITUATION THAN ACTUALLY STALLING. FROM WHAT I'VE READ IT IS TOO MUCH GAS GETTING INTO THE ENGINE VIA EMISSIONS HOSE FROM TANK SO COMPUTER DOES NOT COMPENSATE WITH MORE AIR (ENGINE RACING WOULD BE THE RESULT) SO IT FLOODS OUT AS IN CHOKING OUT A LAWN MOWER FROM DECADES AGO TO GET IT TO STOP RUNNING. I'VE OWNED 50 CARS AND THIS IS THE MOST DANGEROUS VEHICLE I'VE EVER OWNED BECAUSE OF THIS REASON. EVEN KNOWING IT IS LIKELY TO HAPPEN DOES NOT HELP SO I WON'T LET ANYONE ELSE DRIVE THE CAR.... IF THEY WERE TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN IN TRAFFIC AFTER FILLING THE TANK IT WOULD BE A FIREBALL WAITING TO HAPPEN. IT'S A VERY NICE CAR TO DRIVE ONCE YOU GET THE STEERING (CRADLE SHIFT AND WEIRD CAMBER SETTINGS) ACCOMPLISHED BUT WE ARE LEAVING IT PRETTY MUCH ONLY FOR HIGHWAY DRIVING AND MANUALLY CALCULATING HOW MUCH GAS HAS BEEN USED AND SO AS TO LEAVE THE TANK 2-3 GALLONS SHORT OF FULL WHEN FILLING IT UP. PAIN IN THE REAR TO BE SURE BUT BETTER THAN MAKING A LEFT TURN IN FRONT OF SOMEONE AND HAVING THE ENGINE DIE... ALONG WITH YOU. *TR
DURING A ROUTINE TIRE ROTATION I WAS ADVISED THAT THE SEAL BETWEEN THE TIRE AND WHEEL WAS FAILING ON ALL 4 WHEELS AS A RESULT OF CORROSION OCCURRING ON THE MAG TYPE WHEEL. THE FAILURE WAS TEMPORARILY REPAIRED BY SANDING THE WHEEL AND RESEALING. COMMENT WAS MADE THAT THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED. IT IS LIKELY THIS WILL CONTINUE TO OCCUR AS DUE TO BRINE SOLUTION AND ROAD SALT USED DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. THE PERSON DOING THE ROTATION STATED THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE ON THIS VEHICLE WITH THIS TYPE OF WHEEL. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE LIGHT SWITCH WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED AND WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER A SECOND TIME AND THE IGNITION SWITCH WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED A THIRD TIME AND THE CLOCK SPRING WAS REPLACED AND THE CODES WERE RESET. THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.

I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY CHRYSLER 300 UP UNTIL THIS MORNING AS I STARTED MY CAR FOR WORK. MY CAR WAS STUCK IN "PARK". I CALLED MANY CHRYSLER DEALERSHIPS AND FOUND THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN REPAIRED ON A NORMAL BASIS. MY COMPLAINT IS THERE IS NO RECALL ON THIS DEFICIENCY AND THIS IS COSTING CONSUMER TOO MUCH MONEY THAT WE DON'T HAVE TO SPEND ON THIS.
