TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK, THE GEAR DID NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JACK WOLF CHRYSLER JEEP (815-544-9211, LOCATED AT 1615 N STATE ST, BELVIDERE, IL 61008) WHERE THE TRANSMISSION INTERLOCK LEVER WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 127,000.
THE VEHICLE IS STUCK IN PARK WITH NO OTHER ISSUES. CAR WILL TURN ON, REAR LIGHTS WORK, STEERING WHEEL TURNS. CONSISTENT WITH ISSUES REALTED TO DAMAGES TO THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER INTERLOCK LEVER.
DRIVING DOWN HWY AT 65 MPH AND CAR STALLS NO LIGHT TO WARN. ALL OF A SUDDEN NO CONTROL OVER SHEARING NOT KNOWING CAR WAS OFF. PULLED OVER REATART CAR TO ONLY HAVE IN LIMP MODE. HAPPENED TWICE. CAR ALSO SAYS THROTTLE BODY CODE. CHANGED THROTTLE BODY STILL WONT GO OVER 5 MPH NOW. UNABLE TO TELL WHAT WRONG. AFTER 4.MECHANICS..I GIVE UP. CHRYSLER SHOULD FIX THIS FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE WITH OTHER 2005 CHRYSLER 300 OWNERS.
R25/NHTSA 15V-313 RECALL. I TOOK THE CAR TO LOCAL DEALER 2016. I WAS TOLD THAT THE PART WAS BACK ORDERED. AS OF 2019 I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THE DEALERSHIP
ON THIS CHRYSLER 300 2005 THE CURRENT SAFETY PROBLEM IS AN INABILITY TO MOVE THE GEAR SHIFT LEVER (FLOOR SHIFTER) OUT OF THE "PARK" POSITION. THE CAR'S ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF, PARKED IN DRIVEWAY OF THE HOME, STATIONARY. THE CAR WAS TURNED ON WITH KEY, STARTED THE ENGINE TO ON, AND COULD NOT MOVE THE SHIFT LEVER OUT OF THE "PARK" POSITION. CAR'S ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. CAR WAS LEFT IN DRIVEWAY STATIONARY. THIS HAPPENED AROUND 2:30PM IN THE AFTERNOON ON 04-24-2019, WEDNESDAY.

TAKATA RECALL . MY 2005 CHRYSLER 300C 5.7 STARTED SMELLING LIKE GAS EVERY TIME I FILLED UP THE TANK.TIME PAST TILL I DECIDED TO TAKE A LOOK WHY IT SMELLED LIKE GAS.FURST THING TO CHECK WAS THE FUEL PUPMS.FINDING THST THE PASSENGER SIDE HAD A BUDLE OF GAS ONTOP OF THE FUEL PUMP HOUSING .I REPLACED THE RUBBER GASKET BUT THAT DIDNT HELP AT ALL .SO NOW I NEED TO REPLACE THE FUER PUMP BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE IT MIGHT HAVE A CRACK SOMEWHERE .
STALLS AFTER GETTING FUEL BOTH STATIONARY AND IN MOTION 109000 MILES
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION GOT PULLED OVER ON WAY HOME FROM WORK FOR TAIL LIGHTS BEING OT. OFFICER GAVE ME A VERBAL WARNING AND BROUGHT INTO DEALERSHIP FOLLOWING DAY.
A COUPLE MONTHS BACK THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN GOING DOWN THE ROAD, COMPUTER CHECKED SHOWING THE HEAT SENSOR WENT BAD ,HAD IT REPLACED AND ALSO INSTALLED A NEW THERMOSTAT JUST IN CASE. YESTERDAY 12/6 2018 TOOK THE CAR OUT AND WENT TO THE OUTLETS ROUGHLY 25 MILES AWAY CAR RAN GREAT . STOP FOR GAS ON THE WAY BACK A MILE FROM HOME, LEFT THE STATION WENT A 1/4 MILE THE CAR SHUT DOWN AGAIN,STARTED RIGHT BACK UP WENT ANOTHER 1/2 MILE AND IT SHUT DOWN AGAIN, STARTED RIGHT BACK UP AND WENT 1/4 MILE TO THE HOUSE. HAD MY SON IN LAW WHO IS A MECHANIC DO A COMPUTER CHECK AND NOTHING SHOWS UP. CAR HAS 38777 MILES ON IT AND GARAGE KEPT, LITTLE DANGEROUS SINCE U LOOSE THE STEERING AND BRAKES WHEN IT SHUTS DOWN, FORTUNATELY FOR ME I HAD A PLACE TO PULL OVER TO GET OFF THE HIGHWAY. CHECKING WITH THE DEALERSHIP TOMORROW TO SEE IF OTHERS HAD THIS PROBLEM. HAD A VERY SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH MY CHRYLER CROSSFIRE YEARS BACK WHERE THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE HAD SOME CLOSE CALLS AT STOP SIGNS HAD TO REPLACE THE COMPLETE ACCELERATION UNITE HAD LESS THAN 4000 MILES ON THE CAR BUT THE CAR WAS OUT OF WARRANTY COST ME OVER $300 BUT THE ENGINE DIDN'T SHUT DOWN LIKE THIS ONE.WAS ON A TOWN STREET WHEN IT SHUT OFF
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300C. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO COAST THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TWO INDEPENDENT MECHANICS, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. FAILURE CODES APPEARED AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS RETRIEVED. LITHIA CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT OF SANTA FE (4470 CERRILLOS RD, SANTA FE, NM 87507, (505) 629-0746) STATED THAT THERE APPEARED TO BE AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE AND WERE CHECKING ALL THE WIRING ON THE HARNESS WITH MULTIPLE CODES APPEARING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
AFTER FILLING GAS TANK, WHEN WEATHER IS BELOW 40 DEGREES F, VEHICLE STUMBLES, STALLS AND IS HARD TO RESTART WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC.
HOOD PROP BOTH SIDES, SAME FOR THE TRUNK, DRIVER SIDE DOOR HANDLE, STRUTS AND ROTORS! HIT IN THE HEAD FROM TRUNK. THIS CAR HAS BEEN SERVICED AND HAS 157,000 MILES2005 HEMI. THIS IS A RECALL ON PROPS FOR SURE! LOOKING TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON!!!REPLACED TIRE RODS AND THE DEALERSHIP SAID I SHOULD HAVE CALLED AND FILED FOR RECALLS.
WAS BACKING OUT OF PARKING SPACE. HAD FOOT ON BRAKE PUT CAR IN REVERSE THE MOTOR REVVING FLEW BACK WHILE FOOT WAS STILL ON BRAKE. I PURCHASED IT IN 2013 THE ENGINE REVS IN BOTH REVERSE AND DRIVING. HAVE TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP THEY STATED COULD NOT FIND ANY REASON. MY FOOT WAS NOT ON GAS AS A MATTER OF FACT I HAD BOTH FEET ON THE BRAKE TRYING TO STOP THE CAR.
THIS CAR HAS A PROBLEM EVERY TIME ITS TIME TO FILL GAS TANK CAR IS RUNNING FINE ONCE I'M DONE WITH THE FILLING UP AND I AM LEAVING THE GASOLINE STATION THE CAR STALLS WITH NO WARNING OR ANYTHING IT HAS HAPPEN EVERY TIME I FUEL UP ONE TIME I CAME TO A RED LIGHT WHEN IT WAS TIME TO GO ON GREEN IT SHUT OFF ON ME AND DID NOT WANT TO TURN ON AFTER LIKE THE 5TH TRY. I HAVE TRIED CALLING CHRYSLER DEALERS BUT SAID MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT ON THE RECALL CARS.
STEERING BINDS AND HAS TO MANUALLY TURNED TO BRING THE SPRING LOADED STEERING BACK TO CENTER POSITION AFTER MAKING LEFT OR RIGHT TURNS AND WHILE DRIVING. POWER STEERING PUMP APPEARS TO BE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY, BUT THE STEERING WHEEL STILL BINDS UP WHEN DRIVING ON ROADWAYS AND WHEN ATTEMPTING TO PARK IN PARKING SPACES.
NHTSA THROUGH MAIL ADVISED US TO TAKE CAR TO A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND HAVE THEM CHANGE AIRBAGS. WE DID. JUNE 14,2018. ON NOVEMBER 3,2018 WHEN PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT THE AIRBAG ON THE STEERING WHEEL BLEW UP IN MY FACE INJURING ME AND BURNED ME AND CUT ME. PARAMEDICS CAME AND I WENT TO EMERGENCY ROOM. NOT LIFE THREATENING BUT 2 WEEKS IN PAIN AND NOT ABLE TO WORK AND RINGING IN MY EARS FOR A WEEK. MY CAR INSURANCE CAN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THERE WAS NO COLLUSION, IT WENT OFF ON ITS OWN, AND IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE REPLACED AS DEALERSHIP SAID. THE AIRBAG WENT OFF WHEN CAR WAS TURNING INTO A PARKING SPOT SLOWLY IN MOTION.
WHEN DRIVING THE CAR ON THE CITY STREET (OR ANYWHERE), IT JERKS VIOLENTLY AS IT SHIFTS FROM FIRST GEAR INTO SECOND GEAR. ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP, THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT REQUIRES A SOFTWARE UPDATE THAT WAS RELEASED BACK IN 2006. BUT OF COURSE, NO RECALL WAS ISSUED AND I WAS NEVER MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE BY THE MANUFACTURER OR THE DEALERSHIP (EVEN THOUGHT I'VE OWNED THE CAR FOR 11 YEARS).
VEHICLE STALLS EVERY TIME AFTER FILLING UP GAS TANK. STALLS WHEN DRIVING SLOWLY OR AT IDLE WHEN TURNING EX. WHEN TURNING AT INTERSECTION OR TURNING INTO DRIVEWAY. THIS IS A DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE AS THE CAR CAN SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERSECTION AND COULD POSSIBLY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. VEHICLE CAN SOMETIMES BE TURNED ON RIGHT AFTER IT HAS SHUT OFF OR CAN TAKE UP TO 10 MINUTES FOR IT TO CRANK UP. 10 MINUTES IN A BUSY INTERSECTION IS A LONG TIME WAITING FOR A VEHICLE TO CRANK UP.
THE MAIN GROUNDING WIRE PASSENGER-SIDE ENGINE BLOCK CONTACT POINT HAD CORROSION(RUST) LIMITING ELECTRICAL CURRENT FLOW TO THE WIRING HARNESS. THIS CAUSED TOO MUCH CURRENT TO FLOW TO 2 SMALLER 16 GAUGE GROUNDING WIRES ATTACHED TO THE REAR OF EACH HEMI CYLINDER HEAD TO FRY. THIS DIRECTLY AFFECTS THE CCN BUS COMMUNICATIONS TO THE CPU. ANY DEVICE, MODULE, OR SENSOR ATTACHED TO THE CCN BUS CAN HAVE INTERMITTENT BEHAVIOR. EXAMPLES OF VERY BAD BEHAVIOR IN MY CAR: 1. THE ALARM RANDOMLY GOING OFF WHILE PARKED OR WHEN DRIVING THE CAR. 2. WHILE PARKED AND THE ALARM SET THE SUNROOF DECIDED TO OPEN UP DURING A RAINSTORM FILLING MY CAR WITH 3 INCHES OF RAIN. 3. THE 300C DOESN'T USE A THROTTLE CABLE. IT UTILIZES A THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR THAT COMMUNICATES WITH THE CPU OVER THE CCN BUS. JUST TOUCHING THE GAS PEDAL WAS THE SAME AS PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR. IT'S A GOOD THING THAT WHEN THIS HAPPENED TO ME THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC ON THE ROAD AND I WAS CLOSE TO HOME. SINCE THIS IS CCN 2-WIRE TWISTED PAIR BUS COMMUNICATION ISSUE ANYTHING THAT COMMUNICATES WITH THE CPU CAN HAVE A RANDOM INTERMITTENT PROBLEM. SINCE THESE CARS ARE GETTING OLDER I HAVE TO THINK THAT THERE ARE OTHER CARS THAT ARE OR WILL HAVE SIMILAR ISSUES. PRAY TO GOD THAT YOUR THROTTLE DOESN'T STICK WIDE OPEN LIKE MINE DID. I HAD TO KEEP MY FOOT BURIED ON THE BRAKE WHILE I WAS SCREAMING DOWN THE ROAD UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO TURN OFF THE IGNITION. HAVE FUN COMING TO A STOP OR DRIVING HOME AFTER THAT HAPPENS. FORMALLY I WAS AN I2C BUS COMMUNICATIONS(2 WIRE BUS) EXPERT AT BOTH INTEL CORP AND CISCO SYSTEMS. I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. TODAY I TALKED WITH A BREMERTON CHRYSLER/DODGE/JEEP TECHNICAL SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE ABOUT THIS ISSUE. BOTTOM-LINE OVER $3000 TO FIX. THERE MAY HAVE BEEN SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE THAT IS DEAD BECAUSE OF THIS FACTORY DEFECT AND NO ONE IS THE WISER. WHY NOT A FACTORY RECALL ISSUE?
ON MY CAR WHEN THE GAS TANK IS AUTO FILLED ALL THE WAY, UNTIL IT CLICKS, THEN IT STALLS OUT WHILE DRIVING AND IS VERY HARD TO RESTART SINCE THE VEHICLE HAS TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP BEFORE YOU CAN ATTEMPT TO RESTART.THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 10 TIMES. THE LAST TIME WAS WHILE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN ONTO ROUTE 29, WITHIN MINUTES OF HAVING LEFT THE GAS STATION, AND I LOST CONTROL OF MY STEERING DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE CAR WAS NOT RUNNING ANY MORE. I WAS LUCKY I WASN'T HIT BY ANOTHER CAR WHEN COASTING IT PARTLY OFF THE ROAD. SINCE THEN, I HAVE LEARNED, AS LONG AS I DON'T FILL THE TANK ALL THE WAY FULL THE STALL OUTS DON'T HAPPEN.
RECALL R25 AND S43. ARE GOOD RECALLS. THE PROBLEM IS THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT BELONG TO ME AND FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS I HAVE BEEN GETTING THE RECALL INFO SENT TO ME. THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME I HAVE CONTACTED FCA ABOUT THIS ISSUE, THRU E-MAILS, AND PHONE CALLS, AND STILL IT HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED.
THE CHRYSLER JUST CUTS OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY MAKING A LEFT TURN WITHOUT WARNING OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DUE TO ENGINE FAILURE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HILLTOP CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (3291 AUTO PLAZA DRIVE, RICHMOND, CA 94806) WHERE THE GEAR SHIFT ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300C. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE CONTACT REFUELED THE VEHICLE, IT STALLED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE EVENTUALLY OPERATING NORMALLY. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED REGARDLESS OF THE AMOUNT OF FUEL INSIDE THE FUEL TANK. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
TRANSMISSION INTERLOCK SHIFTER IS AFFECTED IN MY CAR HOWEVER ITS NOT SHOWING ON MY RECALLS PLEASE HELP

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO PARKWAY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (21560 HALL RD, CLINTON TWP, MI 48038, (586) 465-7210) TO BE REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V352000 (AIR BAGS) AND NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V313000 (AIR BAGS). AFTER THE REPAIRS, THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE DEFROSTER DID NOT WORK. THE SAME DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD HAVE TO BE DIAGNOSED TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 116,540.
THE TRANSMISSION GEAR SHIFT LEVER INTERLOCK RETURN SPRING HOOK IS BROKEN CAUSING AN INABILITY TO MOVE THE GEAR SHIFT LEVER OUT OF THE PARK POSITION. THIS IS DANGEROUS AS VEHICLE CAN NOT BE MOVED. CHRYSLER HAS ISSUED A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION K39 FOR SOME VIN'S BUT NOT ALL - EVEN THOUGH UNLISTED VIN'S HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT BECAME STUCK AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT HAD TO PHYSICALLY REACH DOWN AND PULL THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL UP. THE DEALER (CULLMAN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM, 300 BENCHMARK WAY, CULLMAN, AL 35057) STATED THAT AN APPOINTMENT HAD TO BE SCHEDULED FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED, BUT WAS UNABLE TO ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 88,000.

DUE TO THE FAILURE, THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND WAS UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR A DEALER. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 05V460000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ELECTRIC POWER SWITCH TO LOCK AND UNLOCK THE DOORS ONLY WORKED TO UNLOCK THE FRONT DOORS. ADDITIONALLY, THE KEY FOB ONLY UNLOCKED THE FRONT AND NOT THE REAR DOORS. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER FAILED TO FUNCTION AS DESIGNED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
MY CAR STALLS WHILE DRIVING PERIODICALLY STALLS WHEN THE CAR IS AT IDLE. IT EVEN STALLLS GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT SPEEDS 65. WE HAVE CHANGED EVERYTHING POSSIBLE EXCEPT THE ENGINE. THE CAR STARTS RIGHT UP AFTER STALL BUT WILL STALL IN TRAFFIC. I HAVE LOOKED AT MANY FORUMS AND THEY ALL SAY THE SAME THING NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS OF CAR SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE CHECKED ALL RECALLS. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. THIS HAPPENS EVERYDAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2005 CHRYSLER 300. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE, SMOKE EMERGED FROM THE AIR VENTS AND FLAMES APPEARED FROM THE DASHBOARD. THE VEHICLE DOORS FAILED TO OPEN. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED AND THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 126,000.
THE SHIFTER IS STUCK IN PARK? THIS STARTED OFF HAPPENING ON OCCASION. BUT NOW HAS PROGRESSED TO ALMOST A PERMANENT SITUATION. THIS CAUSES A HAZARD BECAUSE IN ORDER TO NOT BEING ABLE TO AVOID BEING STRANDED. I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AND PUT ON THE PARKING BRAKE. RUNNING THE RISK OF THE CAR ROLLING AND CAUSING A COLLISION. CRYSLER NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS SITUATION. AS I'M AWARE THAT IT'S A DEFECTIVE PLASTIC PART CAUSING THIS PROBLEM. IT IS ALSO A PROBLEM THAT SPANS FOR SEVERAL YEARS OF THIS SHIFTING SYSTEM.
TAKATA RECALL - SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID, IT'S PLASTIC AND BREAKS, CAR WAS STATIONARY.
THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER LEVER WAS STUCK IN PARK AND WOULD NOT MOVE. THE DEALER SAYS I NEED A NEW SHIFTER. THIS PROBLEM SEEMS IDENTICAL TO RECALL K39 TRANSMISSION SHIFTER INTERLOCK LEVER BUT FOR SOME REASON MY CAR IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECAL. I SUSPECT THIS IS AN OVERSIGHT. I WILL UPDLOAD THE DOCUMENTATION FROM THE DEALER WHEN I GET IT BUT AT THE MOMENT THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BILL LUKE CHRYSLER (2425 W CAMELBACK RD, PHOENIX, AZ 85015, (602) 249-1234) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR BAGS NEEDED REPLACEMENT, BUT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,100.
CHRONIC ODOR OF RAW FUE BOTH WITHIN AND AROUND THE VEHICLE .. DIFFICULT TO ISOLATE. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN AN ENCLOSED SPACE THE FUMES ARE OVERPOWERING AND EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE. I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE SOURCE TO A CONNECTOR ON THE FUEL LINE.. THIS IS CLEARLY A POOR ENGINEERING DESIGN WHICH, WHILE EXPEDIENT IN MANUFACTURING IS HAZARDOUS TO OWNERS AS FUEL IS EXPELLED ONTO THE ADJACENT EXHAUST SYSTEM
THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON TOOK TO DEALER WAS TOLD MY AIR BAGS WOULD NOT WORK BECAUSE SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH WIRING THIS CAR HAS ONLY 85085 MILES ON IT WHEN I GOT IN CAR AND STARED IT THE LIGHT DID NOT GO OUT WOULD LIKE TO IF OTHER PEOPLE HAS REPORTED ON THIS THEY DID REPLACE BOTH AIR BAGS WHEN RECALLED
MY CHRYSLER 300C HAS 114,805 MILES ON IT. I DROVE IT TO THE GAS STATION BEFORE GOING HOME. FILLED IT UP WITH GAS. WENT TO START IT UP AND IT WOULDN'T. I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE SHOP. THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE LAST NIGHT WAS 63. THE ENGINE TEMPERATURE WAS NORMAL. THERE WERE NO WARNING SIGNS. THE CAR DROVE FINE ALL THE WAY FROM MY OFFICE TO THE GAS STATION WHICH IS 33 MILES. MECHANIC SAYS THE VALVE SEAT HAS DROPPED AND THE ENGINE IS COMPLETELY RUINED NOW. I NOW HAVE TO PAY ALMOST $7,000 TO GET MY CAR DRIVEABLE AGAIN.

CAR SHUTS OFF AFTER FILLING, WAS JUST EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE STARTING 2 YEARS AGO, BUT NOW IT SHUTS OFF AFTER EVERY FILL UP, AND WHEN IT SHUTS OFF THEN THERE IS NO POWER STEERING. WILL SHUT OFF AS SOON AS I LEAVE THE GAS STATION, AND WILL CONTINUE EVERY TIME I SLOW DOWN, FOR APPROX.10 MILES. AFTER BEING REAR ENDED IN TRAFFIC AT A STOP LIGHT, DUE TO I STARTED TO MOVE AND THE CAR SHUT OFF, BUT THE PERSON BEHIND ME DIDN'T REALIZE MY CAR QUIT AND LIGHTLY HIT ME. I HAVE LEARNED THAT I CAN NO LONGER FILL UP AT ANY GAS STATION, I HAVE TO FILL UP WHERE I KNOW I CAN JUST DRIVE WITHOUT SLOWING DOWN FOR ABOUT 10 MILES. THE CAR WILL STILL SHUDDER LIKE IT ISN'T GETTING GAS, BUT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO KEEP IT FROM SHUTTING OFF TOTALLY AND TRYING TO AVOID BEING REAR ENDED AGAIN. I WORRY WHAT DAMAGE IS BEING DONE TO THE REST OF MY CAR WHEN IT SHUDDERS LIKE THAT THOUGH. I SEE THAT THERE IS A LOT OF OTHER 2005 300C OWNERS HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM, BUT NO RECALL HAS HAPPENED YET. HOPE THE RECALL HAPPENS BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED DUE TO THIS MALFUNCTION.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 154,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MARINO CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE (5133 W IRVING PARK RD, CHICAGO, IL 60641, (773) 777-2000) AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEY NO LONGER MANUFACTURED THE PART. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 600,000.
THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING RENDERING IT UNCONTROLLABLE AND WITH NO POWER ON THE HIGHWAY WITH SPEEDS OF 55 AND OVER WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT STARTED SINCE THE ONSET OF THE ISSUE. AFTER MANY COSTLY REPAIRS, MY MECHANIC HAS LABELLED THE ISSUE AS A BAD/MALFUNCTIONING POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE. THE FUEL PUMP, SENDING UNIT, AND CRANK SENSOR HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH NO CHANGE. THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE FOR THIS SPECIFIC MODEL. IT HAS NOT STARTED SINCE NOVEMBER OF LAST YEAR.
THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME THE CAR JUST SHUTS DOWN WHEN U FILL THE GAS TANK ALL THE WAY UP. I FILLED THE TANK AND PROCEEDED TO DRIVE AND MERGE ON TO HIGHWAY AND WITHOUT ANY LIGHTS OR WARNING THE CAR JUST SHUTS OFF ON THE HIGHWAY WHILE DOING 65. I LOST POWER AND THE VEHICLE IS HAD TO CONTROL. IT TOOK A SECOND TO START BACK UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN I FILL THE TANK ALL THE WAY UP. IT'S AN ISSUE WITH THE GAS TANK OR A VALVE GETTING STUCK OPEN/CLOSED IN THE TANK. I FILLED THE TANK AGAIN AND JUST WAITED AT THE GAS STATION TO SEE IF IT WOULD HAPPEN AGAIN AND IT DID. I WAITED ABOUT 2 MINUTES AND THE CAR SHUT OFF WHILE SITTING AT THE GAS STATION.. I LEFT THE GAS STATION AS SOON AS I TURNED OUT OF THE GAS STATION THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF 2 MORE TIMES. I HAVE TO EITHER FILL MY TANK TO 3/4'S A TANK OR PURPOSELY BURN GAS WHEN ON FULL TO NOT HAVE THIS HAPPEN AGAIN.

AFTER THE DEALER PROVIDED THE MANUFACTURER RECALL REMEDY, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR KEPT ILLUMINATING. THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NEED TO BE DIAGNOSED TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE RECALL REMEDY FAILED TO PROVIDE A SOLUTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
