EVER SINCE I PURCHASED MY 2005 CHRYSLER 300 THERE HAS BEEN A RECURRING AIR BAG LIGHT ISSUE. I HAD THE SEAT SENSOR REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY AT A LOCAL DEALERSHIP, BUT THIS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I TOOK THE CAR BACK SEVERAL TIMES, BUT I WAS TOLD THAT IT HAD BEEN FIXED AND THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE THEY COULD DO. I ALSO CALLED CHRYSLER AND VOICED MY CONCERN OVER THIS ISSUE. I STATED THAT I WAS CONCERNED THAT THE AIR BAG WOULD NOT DEPLOY IF THE CAR IS IN AN ACCIDENT. CHRYSLER BASICALLY TOLD US THAT THE SENSOR HAD BEEN REPLACED SO THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE THEY COULD DO. I TOLD THEM THAT IF I WAS EVER IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE PASSENGER AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY, I WOULD FILE A LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM. I HAVE SEEN SIMILAR COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS ISSUE. WHY IS THIS PROBLEM NOT BEING ADDRESSED. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL TO FIX THIS BEFORE SOMEBODY GETS SERIOUSLY HURT! *NM
DT: THE CALLER SAID THE TIRES WERE WEARING OUT TOO SOON. THE VEHICLE HYDROPLANED IN LIGHT RAIN. HE SAID THE FRONT TIRES ARE AT 3/32, AND THE REAR ARE AT 4/32 ON THE TIRE MEASUREMENT. THERE IS ONLY 18,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. THE CALLER SAID THAT HE HAD OTHER COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS PROBLEM. THE DEALER SAID TO GET IN TOUCH WITH SEARS WHO IN TURN GOT IN TOUCH WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THEY SAID THEY WOULD GIVE THE CALLER A DISCOUNT IF HE BROUGHT ANOTHER SET OF TIRES. *AK *MR
DT: 2005 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THE HEAD RESTS FOR THE MIDDLE ROW DO NOT STAY UP. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE THE CONTACT PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY STATED IT WAS AN ENGINEERING PROBLEM. THE NOTCHES IN THE FIRST AND THIRD ROWS ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE SECOND ROW. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. *AK
4/04 MY WIFE AND I PURCHASED A CHRYSLER 300C AT RIVERFRONT CHRYSLER, WE REPORTED TO THEM ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS THE CAR STALLS OUT WHEN MAKING A LEFT OR RIGHT TURN, DEALER CLAIMS IT WAS A HOSE CAUSING STALL, WHEN CAR STALLED AGAIN DEALER CLAIMED IT WAS CONTROL MODULE WHEN CAR STALL AGAIN DEALER CLAIM TO SEE NO DUPLICATING PROBLEM THIS HAS BEEN GOING BACK AND FORTH FOR MONTHS NOW OTHER ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS ARE HAPPENING THE HORN DON'T BLOW ALL THE TIME THE BACK DRIVER WINDOW DON'T ALWAYS WORK, PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT GOES OFF AND ON, DRIVER DOOR MISALIGNED CAR BRAKES AND TIRES ARE GIVING US PROBLEMS. *JB
RAPID WEAR OF TIRES ON NEW CAR. SEVERELY CUPPED AND DOWN TO TREAD WEAR INDICATORS IN UNDER 20000 MILES. TIRE MANUFACTURER AND CAR MANUFACTURER UNRESPONSIVE IN REPLACEMENT OF TIRES. *JB
DT: THE ALIGNMENT WAS OFF ON THIS VEHICLE AND CAUSED EXCESSIVE WEAR TO THE TIRES. THIS OCCURRED ON ALL TIRES, HOWEVER, THE DRIVER'S LEFT DT: FRONT TIRE WAS SHOWING THE WEAR INDICATORS. THE VEHICLE HAD ONLY 16,000 MILES ON IT, AND WAS DRIVEN ON HIGHWAY ROADS. CALLED DEALER, WHO SAID IT WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM, IT WAS THE TIRES AND NOT COVERED BRAND ON THE CAR. NO REPAIRS OR CORRECTIONS HAVE BEEN MADE. CONSUMER TOOK TO A TIRE SHOP DEALER WHO NOTED THIS WAS NOT A TIRE PROBLEM BUT AN ISSUE WITH THE ALIGNMENT. THIS IS STILL A PROBLEM AT THIS TIME. CONSUMER FELT THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ALIGNMENT AS WELL. NO NOTICEABLE PULLING OR STEERING ON THE VEHICLE WITH THE ALIGNMENT ONLY THE WEAR ON THE TIRES. THIS TIRES WERE THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT ON THE VEHICLE, BUT CONSUMER BELIEVED THIS WAS AGAIN A PROBLEM WITH ALIGNMENT. *AK
DT: THE CONSUMER WAS DRIVING IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC AT 50-55 MPH AND WHEN APPLYING BRAKE PRESSURE THE BRAKES DID NOT WORK WHATSOEVER. THERE WERE NO SKID MARKS, THE CONSUMER DID NOT FEEL THE VEHICLE WAS SLOWING DOWN. THIS RESULTED IN AN ACCIDENT. THE CONSUMER'S VEHICLE STRUCK ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM BEHIND. THE CONSUMER BELIEVED THE BRAKES NEVER ACTIVATED. THIS WAS THE FIRST AND ONLY INCIDENT WITH THE BRAKES. NO PREVIOUS BRAKE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED MODERATE DAMAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND EXAMINED IT. A FACTORY REPRESENTATIVE CAME AND INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. THE REPRESENTATIVE FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE BRAKES. THE DEALER DID NOT PERFORM ANY REPAIRS OR CORRECTIONS TO THE BRAKES. THE CONSUMER CONTACTED CHRYSLER, AND THEY SAID THEY FOUND NO PROBLEMS, AND THAT THE CONSUMER COULD HIRE A LAWYER. THE CONSUMER DID NOT WISH TO HIRE A LAWYER BUT ONLY WANTED HIS FAMILY TO BE SAFE IN THIS VEHICLE. *AK
DT: ALL FOUR TIRES WORE OUT AT 19,000 AND 20,000. THEY ARE ALL WORN UNEVENLY AND THE WIRING IN THE TIRES WERE COMING THROUGH. THE CONSUMER CONTACTED CONTINENTAL, THEY COULD NOT ASSIST CONSUMER BECAUSE HE HAD TO PURCHASE TO TIRES FOR AN EMERGENCY TRIP. THIS HAPPENED ON AUGUST 23, 2005. HAD TO ROTATE THREE TIMES IN THE 20,000 MILES. PURCHASED FOUR CHRYSLER 300 SINCE 2000. *AK
DT: THE CONTACT STATED UPON ROUTINE MAINTENANCE OF VEHICLE THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE TIRES EEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED HE SHOULD NOT NEED TO HAVE NEW TIRES BECAUSE THE TIRES ONLY HAD 20,000 MILES ON THEM AT THIS TIME. THE DEALER STATED THERE WERE WIRES COMING THROUGH ON TWO OF THE TIRES. THE CONSUMER DID HAVE THE TIRES REPLACED ON HIS VEHICLE. THE TIRES WERE THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT ON HIS VEHICLE WHEN PURCHASED. THE TIRE MANUFACTURER IS CONTINENTAL. THE CONTACT HAS NOT CONTACTED THE TIRE MANUFACTURER, BUT HAS CONTACTED THE DEALER OF THE VEHICLE. AND THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WAS THE ONE WHO WOULD WARRANTY THE TIRES. THE CONTACT STATED HE DID HAVE THE TIRES ROTATED 3 TIMES BEFORE THE DEALER INDICATED THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.*AK THE CONSUMER DID CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY WERE NOT WILLING TO ASSIST. *JB

SEAT/MIRRORS, PEDAL,RADIO & STEERING COLUMN REMOTE MEMORY SETTINGS DO NOT OPERATED WHEN PRESSING THE OPEN BUTTON ON KEY. DOES WORK WHEN USING BUTTONS ON LEFT DOOR. DEALER UNABLE TO REPAIR. DEALER CONTACTED MFG REP. STILL UNABLE TO REPAIR. DEALER REP SAID THEY CHECKED MEMORY SETTINGS ON FOUR OTHER NEW VEHICLES IN STOCK. MEMORY WOULD NOT WORK ON ANY MODEL 300 VEHICLES. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IMMEDIATELY AFTER REFUELING AND DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE. HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS UNSURE ABOUT WHAT PART NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
DT: THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300. THE VEHICLE STALLED AND IT WOULD NOT RESTART, VEHICLE WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED ON AUGUST 10, 2005. THE DEALER SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED WHILE VEHICLE ACCELERATED. THE SPEED AT TIME OF INCIDENT WAS 30-35 MPH.*AK

DT: THE CONTACT STATED HEARD CLANKING SOUND FROM THE REAR END. CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP, AND THEY SAID THE TRANSMISSION WAS GOING OUT. AFTER THEY FIXED THE TRANSMISSION 2000 MILES LATER IT WENT OUT AGAIN. HE ASKED THE DEALERSHIP FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION. AFTER THE INITIAL TIME OF FIXING THE TRANSMISSION THEY DIDN'T CLEAN THE TRANSMISSION WITH A LINT FREE CLOTH SO IT CAUSED THE TRANSMISSION TO CLOG UP, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STALL. THE SECOND TIME TO REPAIR THE TRANSMISSION THE PARTS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL NOVEMBER 2005. THE BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY. . A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN WAS ISSUED CONCERNING STEERING. THE VEHICLE PULLS TO THE RIGHT, AFTER BEING FIXED IT PULLED TO THE LEFT. T HE TALKED TO THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THE AIR BAG LIGHT COMING ON. THEY PUT IT ON A MACHINE. HE WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A SENSOR THAT HAD TO BE REPLACED. THEY HAD TO GET THE PARTS OFF THE ASSEMBLY LINE BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX THIS VEHICLE.*AK
RAPID WEAR OF TIRES ON NEW CAR. SEVERELY CUPPED AND DOWN TO TREAD WEAR INDICATORS IN UNDER 12000 MILES. TIRE MANUFACTURER AND CAR MANUFACTURER UNRESPONSIVE IN REPLACEMENT OF TIRES. *JB
2005 CHRYSLER 300 KEY WILL NOT UNLOCK HAS BEEN LIKE YEAR AFTER THE CAR WAS BROUGHT. *TR
(1)THE REAR SEATS ON THE CHRYSLER 300 C CAME FORWARD IN A HEAD ON ACCIDENT. THE WEIGHT OF THE LUGGAGE IN THE TRUNK PUSHED AGAINST THE SEAT, BROKE THE LATCH AND PUT EXCESSIVE PRESSURE AGAINST A 9 AND 11 YEAR OLD HELD IN BY THE SEAT BELT. IT CAUSED THEIR BACKS TO BREAK AND CAUSED MAJOR INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THEIR ORGANIC. (2)ON IMPACT (WHICH WAS A HEAD ON) THE CAR LOST ALL ELECTRICAL POWER MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE DOORS AND TRUNK TO BE OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE. THIS CAUSED A MAJOR DELAY IN REMOVING THE BOYS FROM THE REAR OF THE CAR. (3)EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A FRONT END COLLISION A FIRE BROKE OUT IN THE TRUNK DESTROYING EVERYTHING. THE CAR IS RAPPED IN PLASTIC AND STORED UNDER COVER. *JB
DT: THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL TRANSMISSION PROBLEM . WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE, AND THE TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT INTO THE LOWEST GEAR. THE SERVICE DEALER MADE FOUR ATTEMPTS TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THEY DID MENTION A SERVICE BULLETIN IN REGARD TO THIS PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP AND THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED HIM TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE UNTIL IT HAPPENED AGAIN SO THAT THEY COULD DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IF HE CONTINUED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE IT WOULD PUT HIM AT A SAFETY RISK.*AK
DT: CONTACT PURCHASED A 2005 CHRYSLER 300 LIMITED EDITION SEDAN ON 7-27-05. HE DROVE IT HOME. THE NEXT DAY HIS WIFE PARKED VEHICLE IN THE PARKING LOT WHERE SHE WORKED. 30 MINUTES LATER, THE MANAGER OF THE BUILDING CALLED CONTACT WIFE'S OFFICE INFORMING HER THERE WAS A CAR ON FIRE IN THE PARKING LOT. FLAMES CAME OUT OF THE ENGINE BLOCK. THE CAR WAS TOTALLY DESTROYED IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER PURCHASING IT. THE CAR PARKED NEXT TO CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED, AS WELL AS 2 OR 3 OTHER CARS WERE DAMAGED. HE CONTACTED DAIMLER/CHRYSLER, AND THEY WERE GOING TO SEND SOMEONE TO LOOK AT THE CAR. THE DEALER AGREED TO GIVE CONTACT A LOANER VEHICLE. CONTACT DID NOT NOTICE ANY DEFECT WITHIN THE CAR PRIOR TO THE FIRE. THIS WAS REPORTED TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND POLICE DEPARTMENT. CONTACT HAD PICTURES OF THE CAR. HE SAID THAT DEALER INSTALLED A PASSIVE ALARM SYSTEM WITH AN IGNITION KILL, A REMOTE START FEATURE, COULD START THE CAR WITHOUT THE KEY. A LO-JACK ANTI THEFT SYSTEM WAS INSTALLED. ALSO, THE CAR INCLUDED A NAVIGATION SYSTEM, POWER ADJUSTED GAS AND BRAKE PEDALS, SELF SEALING TIRES, AND SIDE/CURTAIN AIR BAGS . HE PURCHASED A AN EXTENDED WARRANTY OF 7 YEARS,100,00 MILES BUMPER TO BUMPER. *AK
2005 CHRYSLER 300M/C, ENGINE FAILS AFTER GASOLINE TANK IS FILLED. HAS OCCURRED THREE TIMES IN THE PAST 30 DAYS. DEALER STATES THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM. CAR HAS PRESENTLY BEEN AT THE DEALER FOR MORE THAN A WEEK, AND THEY ADVISED THEY ARE GOING TO REPLACED THE GAS TANK.
DT: CONTACT WENT TO DEALERSHIP TO HAVE INSPECTION DONE AND THE CAR. HOWEVER,IT DID NOT PASS INSPECTION BECAUSE THE TIRES WERE UNSAFE BECAUSE OF THEIR CONDITION. THIS WAS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THE OWNER'S MANUAL ADVISED THE ROTATION TIRES EVERY 3,000 MILES UP TO 72 MONTHS. SHE HAS DONE THAT, BUT THE TIRES WERE WORN OUT. SHE CALLED CONTINENTAL TO GET THE TIRES FROM THE WAREHOUSE. THE WARE HOUSE DID NOT HAVE ANY OF THE CONTINENTAL, CONTOURS PLUS TIRES. SHE PLACED AN ORDER FOR NEW TIRES, BUT IT WILL BE APPROXIMATELY 2 WEEKS BEFORE THEY WILL BE IN. SHE TALKED TO A REPRESENTATIVE AT CONTINENTAL, AND HE TOLD HER THE TIRES WERE GOOD UNTIL 60,000 MILES. HER CAR HAD 20,000 MILES. SHE FELT THAT PEOPLE WERE BEING MISLEAD BY OWNER'S MANUAL AS TO HOW LONG TIRES WILL LAST.*AK
DT: CONSUMER PURCHASED A 2005 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. AT 3,500 MILES THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR TIRE BLEW OUT ON THE SIDEWALL. THE JACK THAT WAS INCLUDED WITH THE VEHICLE DID NOT HOLD IT. DEALERSHIP STATED THE TIRES WERE NOT UNDER WARRANTY. THE TIRE DEALER STATED IT WOULD HAVE TO BE INVESTIGATED, AND IF IT WAS DUE TO ROAD HAZARD, IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED. THERE WERE NO HAZARDOUS ROAD CONDITIONS WHEN THE TIRE BLEW OUT. THE WARNING LIGHT DID NOT COME ON UNTIL THE TIRE BLEW OUT. THEN, IT CAME ON IMMEDIATELY. THIS WAS A BBRIDGESTONE TIRE WHICH CAME WITH THE VEHICLE. *AK
DT: THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 CHRYSLER 300C. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A REAR END ACCIDENT ON JULY 22, 2005 WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE FRONT END WAS DAMAGED, LIGHTS AND RADIATOR WERE PUSHED INTO THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT WAS THE ONLY OCCUPANT IN THE VEHICLE, AND WAS WEARING SEAT BELTS. THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT WAS NOT ON PRIOR TO THIS ACCIDENT. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES. . THE ACCIDENT WAS REPORTED TO THE POLICE AND THE POLICE DID COMMENT ABOUT THE AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOYING. THERE WAS PROPERTY DAMAGE IN EXCESS OF $8000. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER BECAUSE IT WAS NOT DRIVABLE. WHEN HE CONTACTED THE DEALER THE FOLLOWING MONDAY THE DEALER TOLD THE CONTACT THAT THE AIR BAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. HE CONTACTED CHRYSLER TO LAUNCH AN INVESTIGATION. CHRSYLER DID SENT AN INDEPENDENT INVESTIGATOR. HE RECEIVED TWO LETTERS, ONE STATED THAT THEY WHERE NOTIFIED, AND THE SECOND SAID THAT THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH DAMAGE TO THE CAR, AND THAT THE CONCLUSION WAS THE COMPUTER BECAUSE IT DISCLOSED NO CODES. THIS WAS THE SECOND CAR OF THIS MODEL THAT HE OWNED. THE FIRST CAR HAVD PROBLEMS WITH THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATING, BUT AT THE DEALERSHIP IT DISPLAYED NO CODES. *AK
DAY AFTER PURCHASE NOTICED LOAD ROAR AND STEERING WHEEL VIBRATING WHEN THE COMPRESSOR FOR THE AIR CONDITION KICKED ON AND OFF, CALLED DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD TO KEEP DRIVING MAYBE IT WILL WORK ITSELF OUT, MAYBE A KINK. I AM NOW ON MY FOURTH VISIT AND THE PROBLEM IS PROGRESSING. THE VEHICLE NOW STUTTERS AND ALMOST DIES EACH TIME THE COMPRESSOR KICKS ON AND OFF. THE DEALERSHIP LOCATED IN CRYSTAL CITY, MO IS STILL FIGURING OUT HOW TO HANDLE THE PROBLEM, WHICH STARTED THE DAY AFTER PURCHASE.
THE CAR NEVER SEEMS TO HOLD AN ALIGNMENT. IT GIVES THE FEELING THAT IT WANTS TO DRIFT OVER THE ROAD (BEYOND THE GEOMETRY OF THE ROAD.) AND SOMETIMES SUSPENSION SHUDDERS OVER TRANSITION JOINTS IN ROADS. *JB
DT: CONTACT STATES HE BOUGHT A NEW 2005 CHRYSLER 300 M TOURING ON APPROXIMATELY 1-04. ON 6-23-05 HE TOOK THE CAR IN TO THE DEALER WHERE HE BOUGHT IT;(SPARSEST CHRYSLER) TO LET THEM FIX A PROBLEM HE WAS HAVING WITH THE BUTTON THAT ALLOWS HIM TO SEE THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE THE CAR AND ALSO ALLOWS HIM TO SEE THE MILEAGE HE HAS DRIVEN. THE BUTTON WOULD NOT WORK; SO HE ASKED THE DEALER TO FIX IT. ON THE SAME DAY, HE GOT THE CAR BACK FROM THE DEALER AND HE NOTICED IT WAS DOING THE SAME THING BUT AFTER A WHILE IT DID START TO WORK. ON 7-13-05 WHILE THE CAR WAS PARKED IN HIS GARAGE, THE CAR CAUGHT ON FIRE. HE IS NOT SURE WHERE THE FIRE ORIGINATED FROM BUT HE DID SAY THE CAR HAS A BIG HOLE IN THE DASH. HE CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY TOLD HIM THEY WOULD HAVE TO INVESTIGATE IT. HIS INSURANCE ADJUSTER HAS LOOKED AT IT AND DETERMINED THAT IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL FIRE. THE ADJUSTER ALSO GAVE HIM A RECALL #04V334000 .THE RECALL APPLIES TO THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; BATTERY CABLES. THE DEALER DENIED THAT WAS THE PROBLEM THAT CAUSED THE FIRE.*AK

WHEELS ON CHRYSLER 300C ARE CORRODING AND PROTECTIVE COATING IS PEELING. DAIMLER CHRYSLER ADMITS PROBLEM BUT BELIEVES IT RELATED TO CORROSIVE CARWASHES DESPITE THE FACT THAT I WASH MY CAR WITH WATER. AS CORROSION CONTINUES IT WILL LIKELY COMPROMISE THE INTEGRITY OF THE WHEELS.
2005 CHRYSLER 300 WOULD NOT COME OUT OF A TURN, STEERING MECHANISM AND BRAKES BECAME INOPERABLE. VEHICLE HIT MAILBOX, PHONE BOX, FENCE AND A RESIDENCE. VEHICLE HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE CONCERNING THE BRAKES BUT SERVICE DEPT COULD NOT FIND ANY PROBLEMS. *JB
2005 CHRYSLER 300 TOURING SEDAN SHIFTED INTO REVERSE WITH NO OPERATOR ACTION WHILE TRAVELING FORWARD. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE. THERE HAS BEEN NO ACCIDENT BUT THE POTENTIAL FOR SERIOUS ACCIDENTS EXIST IF THIS IS A GENERIC PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO DEALER FOR REPAIR.
DT: THE CONTACT STATED VEHICLE STALLED AT STOP SIGNS AND RED LIGHTS, AND WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH. THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND THEN THE CAR DIED. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE FOR STALLING. THE DEALER DID A DIAGNOSTIC AND COULD NOT FIND THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM SEEMED TO BE INTERMITTENT. SHE CONTACTED CHRYSLER, AND THEY SAID THAT SHE NEEDED TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE AT HER DEALERSHIP; THEY COULD NOT BE ANY HELP WITH ANY INFORMATION. IF THE PROBLEM CONTINUED SHE WOULD HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER. THE STALLING HAPPENED FIVE TIMES.*AK
THE RIM OF MY CHRYSLER 300C CAR HAS CRACKED WITH NO APPARENT IMPACT. THE CRACK THEN MAKES THE TIRE LOSE PRESSURE. THIS HAPPENED NOT ON ONLY 1 WHEEL BUT ON 2 WHEELS AT 2 DIFFERENT TIMES. HAD TO REPLACE THE RIMS BOTH TIMES.
AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON AND STAYED ON AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE AIRBAG SENSOR WAS FAULTY WHICH MEANS IT COULD GO OFF AT ANYTIME FOR NO REASON OR IF IN AN ACCIDENT IT COULD NOT GO OFF AT ALL. *JB
DT: THERE WAS A COMPLAINT FILED ON THIS VEHICLE ODI 10125270 CONCERNING THE AIR BAG LIGHT COMING ON AND STAYING ON. THE DEALERSHIP FOUND OUT IT WAS THE CLOCK SPRING, AND THEY HAVE REPLACED IT 3 TIMES , BUT IT KEPT FAILING. CURRENTLY, THE VEHICLE IS AT THE DEALER, THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS INFERIOR WIRES USED ON THE WIRE HARNESS. DEALER WAS TO REPLACE ENTIRE WIRE HARNESS UNDER DASH BOARD. THERE WAS GOING TO BE A WEEK OR TWO DELAY IN GETTING THE PARTS. THEN THERE WAS CONCERN THAT IF THERE WAS INFERIOR INSULATION INVOLVED WITH THE WIRE HARNESS THIS COULD CAUSE SEVERE PROBLEMS SUCH AS A FIRE. *AK *JB THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE FILLED THROUGH THE FUEL PIPE TO THE GASOLINE TANK AND THE FUEL GAUGE WAS STUCK ON FULL. UPON EXAMINATION BY THE DEALER, IT WAS FOUND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT TAKE ANY GAS. THE DEALER DECIDED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A KIT TO BE PLACED ON TOP OF THE FUEL TANK. *JB
I NOTICED THAT WHEN I DRIVE MY CAR IT PULLS TO THE RIGHT. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER TO HAVE IT FIXED AND THE SERVICEMAN SAID THAT THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED IT JUST NEEDED AN ALIGNMENT. I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP AND DROVE DOWN THE HWY AND IT BEGAN TO PULL TO THE RIGHT AGAIN. I WENT BACK TO THE REPAIR SHOP AND THEY SAID TO ME THAT THE ALIGNMENT MACHINE SAID THAT IT WAS ALIGNED JUST PERFECT. SO I TOOK THE REPAIRMAN ON A TEST DRIVE AND AGAIN IT PULL TO THE RIGHT. SO BACK TO THE REPAIR SHOP WE WENT AND THEY REPLACE A BOLT OR SOMETHING TO THAT EFFECT(TSB) AND IT STILL PULLS TO THE RIGHT. I NOTICE A LOT OF THE 05 MODELS HAVE THAT PROBLEM, BUT IT SEEMS AS THOUGH CHRYSLER HAS FIXED THE PROBLEM ON THE 06 AND NEWER MODELS. WHEN YOU HIT DIVOT IN THE RD. THE FRONT END SHAKES AND BASICALLY THE FRONT TIRES ACTUALLY LEAVE THE RD. FOR A BRIEF SECOND. THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED YET AND ALL THAT THE SERVICEMAN TELLS ME IS THAT IS THE WAY THE CAR WAS DESIGN.(WHICH I DOUBT SERIOUSLY) IF THAT WAS THE CASE THEN I AND A LOT OF OTHER OWNERS OF THE CHRYSLER 300 WOULDN'T HAVE PURCHASE THE VEHICLE. *TR

THEY ORIGINALLY STATED THE PAN WAS DEFECTIVE. THE DEALERSHIP NOW STATES THERE IS A HOLE IN THE CRANK CASE. THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT OBTAIN A NEW CRANK CASE, SO THEY ARE REPAIRING THE PROBLEM. THE FLOORS IN THE FRONT ARE NOT SOLID UNDERNEATH THE CARPET. THERE'S NO "BOTTOM". THERE'S 7" OF SPACE BETWEEN THE CARPET AND THE BODY OF THE CAR. I TOOK IT IN TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT'S THE WAY THE CAR WAS MADE AND THEY ARE NOT SURE OF WHY IT WAS DESIGNED LIKE THAT.

MGR AND A CHRYSLER ENGINEER BOTH WOULD NOT ACKNOWLEGE THE PROBLEM FULLY TTHIS CONDITION MAKES THE CAR DIFFICULT TO CONTROL AND UNSAFE TO OPERATE IN THE RAIN AND SNOW . CHRYSLER SEEMS UNWILLING AND/OR UNABLE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM . ARE WE TO WAIT UNTIL SOMEONE GETS HURT OR KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THESE DEFECTS?
