TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO SHIFT GEARS, THE GEAR SHIFTER LOCKED IN A PARKED POSITION. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT PART OF THE GEAR SHIFTER LEVER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT CALLED STAR CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM AT (718) 479-6200 (211-10 JAMAICA AVE, JAMAICA, NY 11428) AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO CALL NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,000. *BF UPDATED 7/27/18*JB
VEHICLE STALL WITH EVERY FUEL FILL UP. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW. SCARED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE ANYMORE.
I WAS DRIVING ONE DAY MY CHRYSLER 300 C 5.7 HEMI SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD CAR COASTED CAUSE EVERYTHING SHUT OFF I PUT IT IN PARK TRIED TO RESTART CAR WOULDN'T START DID IT A FEW TIMES CAR STARTED AND DIED IDLED ROUGH FELT LIKE I WAS RUNNING OUTA GAS WOULD STAY AT THE RIGHT ROMA KEEP STALLING OUT SO I GAVE IT GAS AND CAR STOPPED SHAKING AND RAN FINE A MONTH LATER DID THE SAME THING THIS TIME CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND SAID RANDOM MULTI MISFIRE ALL CYLINDERS I SPENT 1800 REPLACING THE COIL PACKS PLUGS AND STILL DIDN'T FIX IT TURNS OUT THE VALVE SEAT DROPPED AND CHEWED ONE PISTON UP ALL TOO HECK NEEDS A NEW MOTOR ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR $ MONTHS HAS 112,000 MILES ON IT DON'T HAVE THE MONEY FOR NEW MOTOR CARS JUST SITTING WITH HEAD OFF AND VALVE SEAT IS GONE
WHEN DRIVING MY CAR TO TAKE MY DAUGHTER TO SCHOOL IN THE MORNINGS, WHEN BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVE WAY, COMING TO A STOP AT A STOP LIGHT MY CAR WILL COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. WHEN I START IT BACK UP AND TAKE OFF THE CAR WILL SOUND LIKE IT WILL WANT TO CUT OFF AGAIN AND START JERKING. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE. SOMEONE CAN HIT ME FROM BEHIND IF CAR JUST STOPS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.
I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK ONE MORNING AND JUST OUT OF THE BLUE I HEAR THIS LOUD RATTLING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. UPON FARTHER INSPECTION THE RATTLING NOISE WAS COMING FROM THE OIL PAN AREA UNDER THE CAR. DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT THE ROD BEARINGS MIGHT HAVE BEEN DEFECTIVE COMING FROM THE FACTORY.
MY CAR WILL STALL AT ANY TIME. ON THE FREEWAY AND IN TOWN. IT HAS NO WARNINGS. I HAVE BEEN ALMOST REAR ENDED HONKED AND STUCK IN A TRAFFIC JAMS. I AM SCARED TO DRIVE IT ANYWHERE. ITS HAD NEW GAS TANK, NEW COMPUTER, THROTTLE SENSOR EGR VALVE AND HAS NO CODES TO GO BY TO FIX IT. ITS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT IT AND THEY KEEP WANTING MORE MONEY TO TRY AND FIX IT WHILE JUST GUESSING. DIFFERENT MECHANICS HAVE DRIVEN IT HOME AND IT STALLS ON THEM BUT THEY STILL CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT. ITS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR ALMOST 2 WEEKS.
IT DROPPED THE #7 VALVE SEAT AND NEVER OVERHEATED. THE VEHICLE RAN FINE, UNTIL I GOT BACK IN THE NEXT DAY AND STARTED IT. IT IMMEDIATELY HAPPENED AT THAT TIME. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS ENGINE, AND TO FIX COSTS UPWARDS OF $8000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300C. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THE GEAR SHIFTER DID NOT MOVE OUT OF PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000.
WHEN SITTING IN PARK AND CAR RUNNING IT SURGES UP AND DOWN. WHEN IN DRIVE AND SITTING AT A RED LIGHT, STOP SIGN OR ANYTHING THAT U HAVE TO STOP FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME, MEANING SECONDS, THE CAR WILL HESITATE AND SHUT OFF OR STALL. IT DOES IT ALL THE TIME, ANY TIME. YOU HAVE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK, TURN THE KEY TO THE OFF POSITION AND RESTART IF YOU DON'T DO IT THAT WAY IT WILL START AND SHUT OFF IMMEDIATELY. I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR ON 9/22/2017 AND IT HAS HAPPENED EVERYDAY SINCE. I'VE LEARNED THAT IF I PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL WHILE SITTING FOR JUST A FEW SECONDS IT WILL NOT SHUT OFF.
SHIFTER STAYS STUCK IN PARK. WHEN APPLYING BRAKE, CAN'T SHIFT.
VEHICLE COMPLETELY STALLS AND SHIFTS INTO LOW GEAR DUE TO A KNOWN ISSUE TO CHRYSLER WITH WATER ENTERING THE TRANSMISSION THROUGH THE DIPSTICK TUBE. CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND WAS INFORMED ABOUT A SERVICE BULLETIN WITH OVER 1100 COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND THEY OFFER NO ASSISTANCE WITH REPAIRS OR ISSUE A RECALL ON THIS MATTER WHICH MAY COST CONSUMERS UP TO 2500 TO GET FIXED.
VEHICLE IS STUCK IN PARK AND WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF IT. CHRYSLER IS AWARE A PROBLEM EXISTS BUT CONVENIENTLY SAYS THIS CAR IS OUT OF THE BUILD DATE FOR BEING AFFECTED THEREFORE I'M CRAZY AND IT SHOULD BE AN OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE FOR ME.
VEHICLE WILL NOT RELEASE FROM PARK INTO DRIVE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS CRASHED INTO AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACTS RESIDENCE AND THEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE REPAIRS DIAGNOSED WERE UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
DRIVERS SIDE TIRE SUSPENSION COLLAPSED WHILE BACKING UP, HAD CAR TOWED TO DEALER ACROSS STREET FOR EVALUATION.
RIGHT AFTER REFUELING THE CAR IT ENDED UP STALLING AT A RED LIGHT. THE ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF SO I HAD TO RESTART THE CAR IN ORDER TO DRIVE AGAIN. THE ENGINE CONTINUOUSLY SHUT OFF AT EVERY STOP. IT EVEN HAPPENED IN THE MIDDLE OF A U-TURN, SO I WAS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET UNTIL RECRANKING THE CAR. I DID RESEARCH AND NOTICED THIS WAS A FUEL TANK PROBLEM DO TO A FAULTY VALVE PLACED IN THE FUEL TANK. THEY EXTENDED THE WARRANTY FOR SOME 2006 CHRYSLER 300 OWNERS, BUT NOT ALL. LEAVING ME WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND NO HELP GETTING THE PROBLEM FIXED. EVEN THOUGH IT IS THERE FAULT FOR BUILDING A FAULTY VALVE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONTACT STARTED THE VEHICLE AND ATTEMPTED TO SHIFT THE GEAR FROM PARK INTO DRIVE, BUT THE GEAR SHIFTER FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND INFORMED HER HOW TO GET THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE PARK POSITION. IN ADDITION, THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT HER VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 180,000.
WHEN TANK IS FULL THE CAR SHIMMIES AND FEELS LIKE IT IS GOING TO STALL. WHEN TANK IS ONLY HALF FULL NO ISSUES.
ENGINE WILL START, CAR WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK. JUST CALLED CHRYSLER. THEY WILL TOW AT A COST OF $50.00 TO ME. CHRYSLER WILL TOW TO THE DEALER TO FIX THE PROBLEM THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF PER TSB K39, AT A COST TO ME TO FIX, TO BE REIMBURSED AT SOME MYTHICAL DATE CHRYSLER DEEMS ACCEPTABLE. I WILL RIDE MY UNICORN TO WORK TOMORROW...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300. UPON ENTERING AND STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO SHIFT INTO DRIVE, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE AM SHIFTER TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC INFORMED THE CONTACT OF A CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION (K39-TRANSMISSION SHIFTER INTERLOCK LEVER), BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE CONTACT CALLED ZEIGLER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF DOWNERS GROVE (2311 OGDEN AVE, DOWNERS GROVE, IL 60515 (877) 747-4059) AND THE MANUFACTURER WHO CONFIRMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,849....UPDATED 08/29/17 *BF UPDATED 10/06/2017*JS ...UPDATED 11/14/17 *BF UPDATED 11/16/2017*JS
WOULDN'T SHIFT OUT OF PARK. HAD TO GET TOWED.
WIFE WAS DRIVING CAR AND TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS POURING OUT WHEN PUT ON A RACK AND ADDING FLUID UNNECESSARILY THERE WAS NO LEAKAGE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE DID A TRANSMISSION SERVICE RUNS GREAT BUT THERE IS STILL WATER IN TRANSMISSION FLUID BECAUSE IT IS STRAWBERRY COLOR CAR WAS DROVE TWO MILES WITH FLUID IN TRANSMISSION.
CAR OVERHEATED AND I SHUT IT OFF. TRIED TO START IT AFTER IT COOLED DOWN AND IT WOULD NOT START. CHECKED CYLINDERS FOR COMPRESSION AND FOUND 6 WITH O COMPRESSION SO SEEMS TO BE A VALVE SEAT FAILURE.
THE CHRYSLER START WITH NO PROBLEM DRIVE AROUND STOP PARK AND GET OUT THE CAR. RETURN IN A MINUTE NO CRANK START WAIT 15 OR 20 MINUTE THE CAR WILL START. THIS PROBLEM ACCURED 2 OR 3 TIMES A DAY AFTER I PARK. FUSES OK, NEW STARTER, NEW BATTERY, NEW TRANMISSION NOTHING DISPLAY ON DISHBROAD OR DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE SEVERAL MACHANIC UNABLE TO DETERMENT THE PROBLEM NO READING THE CAR IS OK BUT CAR CONTIUE NOT TO CRANK START I ONLY HAVE LESS THAN 50,000 MILES AFTER I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION FROM A BRONX NEW YORK DEALERSHIP?
FOR THE YEAR EVERY TIME I FILL MY CAR UP WITH GAS THERE IS AN OVERWHELMING FUEL SMELL INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE CAR. THE SMELL IS SO BAD THAT WE ROLL THE WINDOWS DOWN IN ORDER TO BREATH FOR AT LEAST 4DAYS. IT IS NOW 115 DEGREES OUTSIDE AND IF THE AIR IS ON, MY KIDS AND I GET NAUSEOUS. I TOOK IT INTO 2 DIFFERENT MECHANICS AND THEY CAN'T SEEM TO LOCATE THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE SMELL IS EVIDENT BEING STATIONARY AND MOVING.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO ORLANDO CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE IN ORLANDO, FL WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VALVE SEAT DROPPED, WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO OVERHEAT. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED ONCE BEFORE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 149,000.
2006 CHRYSLER 300C | ENGINE STALL WHILE DRIVING | POSSIBLY TIPM-RELATED I PURCHASED MY 2006 CHRYSLER 300C JUST SHORT OF 6 MONTHS AGO. WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK, AS I WAS TAKING A LEFT HAND TURN THE IGNITION COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. WHILE THE POWER WAS STILL ACTIVE, I COULD NOT DRIVE THE CAR UNTIL I TURNED OVER THE VEHICLE TO RESTART THE CAR. THINKING IT WAS POSSIBLY A FRINGE ISSUE I IGNORED TO ISSUE. FAST FORWARDING TO TODAY, MY WIFE AND I HAVE EXPERIENCED ROUGHLY 25-50 OCCURRENCES OF THE VEHICLE SHUTTING OFF WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. I HAVE BEEN PAYING FOR A VEHICLE THAT ONLY SEEMS TO WORK WHEN IT FEELS LIKE IT AND WHAT CONCERNS ME MOST IS THAT EVERY DAY I DRIVE THIS VEHICLE I AM ENDANGERING THE LIVES OF MY WIFE AND FIVE CHILDREN.
THERE IS A RECALL #K39 ISSUED BY CHRYSLER FOR 2005 TO 2007 MODEL YEAR VEHICLES REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION GEAR SHIFT LEVER INTERLOCK AND MY VEHICLE IS STUCK IN PARK AS THE DESCRIPTION OF THE RECALL STATES BUT CHRYSLER MAINTAINS IT IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM
CAME HOME FROM WORK PARKED MY CAR. TEN FIFTEEN MIN LATER I TRIED TO GO TO THE STORE, CAR STARTED & DIED WOULD NOT RESTART. HALF AN HOUR LATER I GOT IT STARTED, BUT IT MAKE A CRUNCHING NOISE & RAN WITH A MISS FIRE. I LIMPED IT TO MY MECHANIC, THE CAR WAS BLOWING OIL SMOKE OUT THE TAILPIPES LIKE I HAD OVERFILLED IT. MY MECHANIC FOUND THAT THE VALVE SEAT ON # 6 CYLINDER HAD DROPPED RUINING BOTH PLUG, CYLINDER HEAD & PISTON. AFTER HE TOLD ME WHAT HAD HAPPENED I STARTED RESEARCHING THIS, LOOKS LIKE ANY 5.7 HEMI & OTHER MOTORS MADE BEFORE 2009 CAN BE EFFECTED. I'VE TRIED TALKING TO CHRYSLER ABOUT THIS ISSUE & WHEN THE HEAR MY CAR WAS NOT @ A DEALER I WAS STONEWALLED.
MODULE TRANSMISSION WAS INSTALLED IN MY CAR WHICH HAVE ONLY 51661 MILES THIS IS AN ON GOING PROBLEM IN THESE CARS CAUSING THEM NOT TO SHIFT AND I COULD ONLY GO 20MPH IN HEAVY TRAFFIC CREATING A SAFETY HAZARD. I WAS CHARGED $1919.58 FOR REPAIRS. MY TRANSMISSION WAS SERVICED IN OCT.2016 . I FEEL THAT THIS PROBLEM SHOULD BE ON THE RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE LOSE THERE LIFE. THE PROBLEM COMES WITH NO WARNING. THE CAR WAS IN MOTION. ON A CITY STREET.
GEAR SHIFTER ON MY 2006 CHRYSLER 300C GOT STUCK IN PARK ON 6/25/17 AT ABOUT 98,400 MILES. LUCKILY CAR WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY WHEN PROBLEM OCCURRED AND I WAS ABLE TO LOOK UP THIS ISSUE ONLINE AND FOUND OUT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH CHRYSLER VEHICLES. APPARENTLY THERE WAS A K39 RECALL RELATING TO THIS SAME GEAR SHIFT PROBLEM. BUT FOR SOME REASON, THAT RECALL ONLY COVERED THE 2005-2007 300 LX MODELS, NOT THE 300C MODEL. I FOUND A YOUTUBE VIDEO ON HOW TO TEMPORARILY GET MY CAR OUT OF PARK GEAR WITH A SCREWDRIVER. AND ANOTHER VIDEO TO SHOW PEOPLE HOW TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION GEAR SHIFT LEVER INTERLOCK RETURN SPRING HOOK THEMSELVES. WITH THE EXISTENCE OF THESE YOUTUBE VIDEOS, THIS SHOULD BE A GOOD INDICATION THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH SOME CHRYSLER MODELS. BUT WHY DID THEY NOT RECALL THE 2005-2007 300C MODELS??? TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300C. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS OR WHILE PARKED, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR LIGHTING FLICKERED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC OR DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO ZIMMER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (1086 BURLINGTON PIKE, FLORENCE, KY 41042 (859) 525-1344) TO BE SERVICED FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 16V352000 (AIR BAGS) AND 15V313000 (AIR BAGS) AND NOTIFIED THEM OF THE FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,373.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2006 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND A LOUD ABNORMAL NOISE CAME FROM THE FUEL TANK AREA. THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE UNDERNEATH THE HOOD AND UNDERCARRIAGE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED AND TOWED TO A JUNKYARD. THE MANUFACTURER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND CUT A PIECE OF WIRE FROM THE FUSE BOX; HOWEVER, THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO ASSIST. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 180,000.
PEDAL BROKE OFF THE CAR DURING OPERATION
ENGINE STALLING, LIGHTS IN DASH FLICKERING, INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DISPLAYS ABS,EPS,CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER ACTUATE ERRATIC AND SOMETIMES INOPERATIVE.
The contact owned a 2006 Chrysler 300. The contact was driving at 60 mph was coming from the engine compartment. The contact was able to pull over when the vehicle caught on fire. The contact sustained an infection in her chest and sought out medical assistance. The fire marshals were called and the vehicle was extinguished and a police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the sheriff's department, where it was determined to be destroyed. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with, NHTSA Campaign Number: 06V149000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) however the VIN was not included. The contact informed the manufacturer of the failure and told the contact that there was no recall on her vehicle. The mileage was approximately 70,000.

MY 2006 CHRYSLER 300C SRT8 6.1L ENGINE STALLS RANDOMLY WHEN STOPPED, COMING TO A STOP OR CRUISING SPEED. SOMETIMES IT'LL TAKE MONTHS FOR REOCCURRENCE THEN OUT OF NOWHERE IT HAPPENS WHILE, ENGINE STALLED. HAPPENS WHILE MAKE A TURN AT A LIGHT ALSO. STARTS BACK UP AND SOMETIMES STALLS INSTANTLY. AFTER LIKE THE THIRD STALL CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND THE ONLY FAULT CODE IS P0700. BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2015 AND LESS THAN TWO MONTHS LATER IS WHEN I EXPERIENCED MY FIRST OCCURRENCE. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THREE TIMES THAT YEAR AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM OR FIGURE OUT WHAT'S WRONG. ABOUT FIVE MONTHS LATER (2016) IT HAPPENS AGAIN, ENGINE STALLS OUT OF NOWHERE ON THE FREEWAY. THIS TIME IT WOULDN'T START SO I HAD IT TOWED BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. AFTER TWO MONTHS OF THEM HAVING MY CAR THEY SAID IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE SO I AGREED TO REPLACE IT. TWO MONTHS LATER SAME THING AGAIN SO OBVIOUSLY THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WASN'T THE PROBLEM. MIGHT I ADD THAT RANDOMLY WHILE DRIVING THERE IS A HARD "BUCK" FROM THE TRANSMISSION, LIKE IT WANTS TO LOCK UP. I'VE BEEN IN AND OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP WITH THIS PROBLEM FOR TWO YEARS NOW AND CHRYSLER CLAIMS TO NOT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. I AM TERRIFIED EVERY TIME I'M IN THIS VEHICLE. I FEEL IT IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. I'M STILL PAYING FOR THIS CAR BUT NEED TO KNOW WHAT THE ISSUE IS AND HOW TO SOLVE IT. DEALERSHIP SAYS THERE IS NO RECALLS OR UPDATES AVAILABLE FOR MY CAR.
THE CAR JUST DIED ON ME IN FULL TRAFFIC, TRAVELING AT 45 MILES PER HOUR. CARS SPEEDING ALL AROUND ME, AND MINE JUST DIED. DEALER CLAIMED THAT THE COMPUTER DIED AND IT FRIED THE 2 FUEL PUMPS FOR A TOTAL EXPENSE TO FIX OF MORE THAN $2000. THIS IS SUCH A TERRIBLE DESIGN ON CHRYSLER'S PART THAT IT COULD DO THIS. IT SHOULD BE A RECALL AND GET PAID FOR BY THE MANUFACTURER. THE DEALER THAT DID THE WORK WAS PERFOMANCE CHRYSLER AT 95 LOOP RD, DAYTON, OH 45459

INITIALLY THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHUT OFF AND RESTART AT VARIOUS SPEEDS RANGING FROM 45-65 MPH, MILEAGE ON THE VEHICLE WHEN THE PROBLEM SURFACED WAS APPROX .138,000. IN 2016 AFTER REPLACEMENT OF THE PCM ,FUEL TANK, ALTERNATOR, SOLENOID, BATTERY, AND CAM SHAFT SENSOR THE PROBLEM SPORADICALLY REOCCURRED EVERY 300 MILES, AND FAILURE HAS INCREASED IN FREQUENCY AND NOW OCCURS REGULARLY BUT SPORADICALLY AT LOW SPEEDS OF 1-20 CAUSING A FULL STALL WITH NO RESTART. THE FAILURE IS TYPICALLY AT A LIGHT AND WHEN TEMPTING AA TURN. IT HAS BEEN OBSERVED DURING THE HIGH SPEED INCIDENTS,ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS ARE IN FAILURE- DASH LIGHTS GO OFF, THE ANALOG RPM AND SPEEDOMETER GAUGES SPONTANEOUSLY DROP TO ZERO, AND THEN THE ENTIRE SYSTEM RESTARTS AND GAUGES RESUME NORMAL READINGS, ALL OCCURRING WITHIN A FEW SECONDS AT MOST. ADDITIONALLY THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START AFTER SITTING FOR 3 HOURS, THE ELECTRICAL WORKS BUT ENGINE WILL NOT TURN OVER. AFTER EACH INCIDENT CAR WAS TAKEN FOR A DIAGNOSTIC READING AND EITHER NO FAULT CODE WAS REGISTERED, OR AN ENGINE COMMUNICATION FAILURE CODE OCCURS. THIS HAS BEEN AN ON GOING ISSUE FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS.

MILEAGE 44398, FIRST START OF THE DAY (COLD START) IDLES ALL OVER THE PLACE AND STALLS AT TIMES WHEN IN REVERSE, COMING TO STOPS. IF I PLACE IN NEUTRAL OR SLIGHTLY PRESS GAS PEDAL IT WILL STAY RUNNING. WHEN DRIVING IF I NEED TO HIT THE GAS PEDAL TO PASS OR SPEED UP THE CAR JUST DOES NOT REACT AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE, LIKE IT WANTS TO SHUT OFF UNTIL I LET OFF THE PEDAL. NO LIGHTS ON, NO CODES. AT TIMES WHEN IT HAS STALLED IT RESTARTS AND SURGES UP AND DOWN. SOMETIMES THE CAR DRIVES PERFECT, THEN OUT OF NOWHERE THE PROBLEM IS BACK. NOW ONE THING I HAVE NOTICED IS WHEN I FILL THE TANK ABOVE HALF WAY IT SEEMS TO BE FINE, BUT ONCE IT GETS TO HALF WAY MARK AND BELOW IS WHEN I NOTICE THIS PROBLEM AND IT STAYS UNTIL ABOUT THE EMPTY MARK NOT SURE WHY THAT IS, EITHER THE TANK, PUMP, FILTER NOT REALLY SURE BUT DEFINITELY CAN BE A DANGEROUS CONDITION IF NOT ADDRESSED. IF EVER ONE DAY I WAS TO NEED THE POWER TO BE THERE FOR SOME REASON THE CAR JUST FALLS ON ITS FACE WHEN THE PEDAL IS APPLIED.
