ON FRIDAY MARCH 7, 2015 MY CAR WAS PARKED OUTSIDE OF MY HOME AND THE SUNROOF SPONTANEOUSLY SHATTERED. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER DIRECTLY ABOUT MY 300 S AND WAS TOLD TO CONTACT MY LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. ONCE I GOT IN TOUCH WITH THE DEALER THEY TOLD ME IT'S SOMETHING THEY WOULD HAVE TO CONTACT CHRYSLER ABOUT AND THEY ARE UNSURE IF MY WARRANTY WILL COVER IT. THE DEALER STATED THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING BEFORE, HOWEVER I'VE SEEN NUMEROUS REPORTS. *TR

I BOUGHT A CHRYSLER 300 ABOUT 10 MONTHS AGO AND STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS 7 MONTHS LATER. THE FIRST PROBLEM WAS I GOT IN THE CAR TO START IT AND THERE WAS NO POWER, I CALLED THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP TO FIND WHERE THE BATTERY WAS LOCATED. THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS WENT TO START IT AGAIN STILL NO POWER. I TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE AND THE BATTERY WAS REPLACE WITH A NEW ONE. A COUPLE OF WEEKS PASSED AND I RECEIVED A RECALL ON THE ALTERNATOR, ONCE AGAIN I TOOK IT IN FOR REPAIR ON MAY 2015. NOW THIS IS MEMORIAL WEEKEND GO TO DRIVE MY CAR ONCE AGAIN AND THE CAR HAS NO POWER AND NO ONE IS OPEN CAUSE OF THE HOLIDAY TO FIX MY CAR.

IN ADDITION, THE WINDSHIELD WIPER ACTIVATED INDEPENDENTLY, THE HAZARD LIGHTS FLASHED AND THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. DEATH TRAP...I AM DULY NOTICED (P60/NHTSA 14V-634) OF A DEFECT IN MY 2013 CHRYSLER 300 PURCHASED FROM BILL LUKE CHRYSLER JEEP & DODGE INC. ON 11/25/2012 IN THE AMOUNT OF $33,768.39. THE NOTICE CAME FROM CHRYSLER GROUP LLC TO SPECIFIC OWNERS. HUGE TYPE..."IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL" CHRYSLER GROUP TELLS ME THAT THEY HAVE NO TIMELINE FOR COMPLETING THE REPAIR...IN FACT THEY DON'T HAVE THE PART AVAILABLE. IT APPEARS THAT THE PART NEEDS TO BE DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED BEFORE CHRYSLER GROUP CAN BEGIN THE REPAIR PROCESS. A "REASONABLE" TIME FOR COMPLETING THE REPAIR IS NOT ON THE TABLE. BILL LUKE CHRYSLER JEEP & DODGE, INC. AND CHRYSLER GROUP LLC HAVE REFUSED TO PROVIDE LOANER OR RENTAL CARS DURING THE TIME IT WILL TAKE TO COMPLETE REPAIRS ON THE DEFECTIVE VEHICLES. I REFUSE TO OPERATE A VEHICLE THAT I HAVE BEEN DULY NOTICED IS DEFECTIVE AND MIGHT BE THE INSTRUMENT CAUSING ACCIDENTAL PROPERTY AND/OR PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH TO ME, MY FAMILY, OR THE GENERAL PUBLIC. IT APPEARS THAT NHTSA IS A WILLING PARTNER WITH CHRYSLER TO THIS CYA. NHTSA SHIELDS CHRYSLER FROM LEGAL ACTION. THIS TRAVESTY MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE. I HAVE SENT AT LEAST TWO EMAIL MESSAGES TO NHTSA STAFF AND ONE TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL IN JAN 2015 CONCERNING THE ALTERNATOR. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP 8 TIMES OVER THE COURSE OF THE LAST YEAR AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME I AM ON THE LIST AND THEY WILL GET TO ME. WE ARE NOW GOING ON 14 MONTHS AND NO ACTION. THE DEALERSHIP I HAVE BEEN CALLING IS : NYLE MAXWELL SUPERCENTER   ADDRESS: 13401 RANCH RD 620 N, AUSTIN, TX 78717 I HAVE TALKED WITH TROY AT EXTENSION 8011 ON THIS MATTER. The contact stated that on another occasion while in neutral, the vehicle failed to shift into park as intended. The vehicle was taken to a dealer twice however, the failure was not duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that years later, the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the infotainment system needed to be replaced. The failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.

IN NOVEMBER 2014 I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL P60 / NHTSA 14V-634 INDICATING THE ALTERNATOR DIODES HAVE AN ISSUE, CAUSING FAILURE TO ENGINE, OR POSSIBLE FIRE. I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO GET THE ALTERNATOR REPAIRED, OR REPLACED. THE DEALER, AND MANUFACTURE IS TELLING ME THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS, AND I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR. PLEASE ASSIST IS GETTING THIS ISSUE FIXED. *TR
WHILE DRIVING USING ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL THE CAR SEEMS TO HESITATE FOR A SECOND, DROP INTO A LOWER GEAR AND THE TOP SPEED IS LIMITED - THE CHECK ENGINE AND THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHTS GO ON. A MESSAGE ALSO APPEARS SAYING "FCW OFF", AND THE ACC WILL NOT WORK. TURNING THE ENGINE OFF AND RESTARTING REMOVES ALL INDICATIONS OF THE PROBLEMS EXCEPT FOR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, WHICH GOES OFF EVENTUALLY. WAS ABLE TO GET TO A DEALER WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON AND WAS TOLD THAT THE LIGHT WENT OUT WHILE TESTING, OTHER TIME THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY PROBLEMS, BUT UPDATED SOFTWARE AND REPLACED A SWITCH. THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN ON LONG TRIPS AND MUCH TO MY PERSONNEL CONCERNS WHEN I'M IN THE LEFT LANE ON THE INTERSTATE WITH TRAFFIC WHEN THE CAR CONKS OUT.
MULTIPLE OCCURRENCES OF DEAD BATTERY / LOSS OF POWER. CHECKED THAT NO ACCESSORIES HAD BEEN LEFT TURNED ON. HAVE TAKEN VEHICLE TO DEALER WITH EACH OCCURRENCE BECAUSE EVEN WITH CHARGING / JUMP STARTING BATTERY, BATTERY LOSES CHARGE AFTER A FEW DAYS. FOUND RECALL INFO ON NHTSA WEB SITE, PROVIDED THIS TO DEALER, DEALER CLAIMS THERE IS NO RECALL, EVEN STATED THAT THE PRINT OUT WE PROVIDED FROM NHTSA WAS FAKE, CLAIMS THEY CANT FIND ANY ISSUE WITH VEHICLE AND INFORMS US THAT IT IS OWNER ERROR.
