Front driver has lifted. Took the car in to have it repaired and they have no resolution. On 9/12/2022 I attempted to exit my vehicle and the panel had lifted such that the door would not open. The only way to exit my car was to climb over the center console to exit the vehicle. Only way to get door open after was to continue to pull up on the panel so I could place the locking mechanism in it's proper place. This could have been a severe safety hazard.
The contact owns a 2018 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that the interior door panels on all four doors were unsecured and separated from the door frame. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The contact was concerned that during a collision the door panels might eject from the door frame and cause a safety hazard for occupants in the vehicle. The local dealer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 38,000.
