TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL TANK GAUGE WOULD NOT INDICATE THE FUEL LEVEL PROPERLY CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STALL EVEN THOUGH THE FUEL TANK WAS FULL. THE VAPE LEAK AND ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED AND REPAIRED THE VALVE, SOLENOID AND A NEW FUEL CAP HOWEVER THE FAILURE REOCCURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 195,000.
SUB FRAME RUSTED THROUGH
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN FOR AN OIL CHANGE AT WESTGATE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM DEALER (2695 E MAIN ST, PLAINFIELD, IN 46168, (317) 839-655) IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE CRADLE WAS SEVERELY CORRODED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING, THERE WAS A RATTLING SOUND THAT WAS COMING FROM UNDERNEATH THE FRONT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AS WELL AS WHEN ACCELERATING IT FELT LIKE SOMETHING WAS LIFTING UP FROM UNDER THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE ENGINE CRADLE HAD CORRODED THROUGH AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE SLOWLY DROVE THE VEHICLE TO HER RESIDENCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS UNDERGOING STATE INSPECTION, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE CRADLE WAS SEVERELY CORRODED. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE ENGINE COULD SEPARATE FROM THE SUBFRAME DUE TO THE SEVERE CORROSION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. WHEN MOVING FROM THE HUMID EAST TO THE DESERT WEST ALL CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS AND MOTOR MOUNTS DRIED UP AND CRACKED CAUSING OVER THE COURSE OF A FEW WEEK TRACTIONS PROBLEMS MADE WORSE WHEN GETTING NEW TIRES AND AFTER FISHTAILING IN THE RAIN I BROUGHT IT TO A MECHANIC THAT FOUND THAT ALL RUBBER COMPONENTS HAD DRIED UP. I ENDED UP HAVING TO CHANGE ALL CONTROL ARMS AND MOTOR MOUNTS WHICH WHERE ALL CRACKED AND BROKEN.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 138,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED SUDDEN ENGINE FAILURE WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND WAS INFORMED THAT SHE SHOULD HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A CHRYSLER DEALER. FRED MARTIN SUPERSTORE (3195 BARBER RD, BARBERTON, OH 44203, (330) 753-4444) DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE ROD BEARING WAS DEFECTIVE. THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 06V432000 (POWER TRAIN). THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER BACK AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE REMEDY FOR THE RECALL HAD ALREADY BEEN PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE. THEY ALSO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT BECAUSE THEY FOUND NO DEFECT WITH THE VEHICLE, THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NEVER PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WHEELS BEGAN TO ROCK WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENTIRE FRONT SUBFRAME WAS RUSTED THROUGH. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 169,000.
I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT MY ENGINE CRADLE IS RUSTED BEYOND REPAIR AND WILL NEED REPLACING. CHRYSLER RECALLED 2004-2005 IN RUST BELT AREAS TO REPLACE ENGINE CRADLE. THIS ISSUE AFFECTS 2004-2008 WHICH MY CAR IS A PART OF. THIS RUST ISSUE COULD CAUSE THE MOTOR TO FALL OUT FROM THE ENGINE CRADLE AND CAUSE SERIOUS SAFETY RISK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE ALSO CHANGED FROM A HALF TANK TO EMPTY VERY QUICKLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL PUMP AND POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 06V432000 (POWER TRAIN). A LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 162,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE MADE A LOUD RATTLING NOISE AND BEGAN TO SHAKE AND SHIMMY. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC STATED THAT THE MOTOR CRADLE AND THE SUBFRAME WERE SEVERELY RUSTED AND CORRODED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WAS ABLE TO PLACE A HAND THROUGH THE SUBFRAME. IN ADDITION, THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL PROTRUDED OUTWARD AT AN ANGLE WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED DUE TO SIGNIFICANT SUBFRAME DAMAGE. THE CONTACT DESCRIBED THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL AS "ROLLING BACK ON ITSELF". MCDONALD CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM BIG RAPIDS (14061 NORTHLAND DRIVE, BIG RAPIDS, MICHIGAN 49307, (231) 796-2651) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 246,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSED, THE SPEEDOMETER DISPLAYED 20 MPH. ALSO, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED UNINTENDED ACCELERATION AND LURCHED FORWARD. WHILE BRAKING ON WET PAVEMENT, THE ABS MALFUNCTIONED AND CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SLIDE. ALSO, A BURNING ODOR WAS PRESENT COMING FROM THE AIR VENTS AND THE FUEL CAP INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TOM AHL CHRYSLER (672 KINGS AVE, LANMOR, OH) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 155,000.
ON 10/11/18 I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO A MECHANIC FOR A STATE INSPECTION AND WAS INFORMED BY THE MECHANIC THAT SUB FRAME WAS RUSTED TO THE POINT THAT ITS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION. I WAS ADVISED THAT THERE WOULD A BE A RECALL ON THIS AND I CONTACTED A CHRYSLER DEALER AND I CALLED CHRYSLER AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NOT. DOING RESEARCH I FOUND THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THAT HAS BEEN REPORTED HUNDREDS OF TIMES. THE ESTIMATED COST TO REPAIR THIS WOULD BE BETWEEN $2000-$4000 AND CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF THIS VERY UNSAFE PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR. I WAS ADVISED THAT I CANNOT DRIVE THIS CAR ANYMORE DUE TO THIS ISSUE. I AM THE SOLE PROVIDER AND TRANSPORTATION FOR THREE YOUNG CHILDREN AND CANNOT AFFORD TO BE WITHOUT THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE SPOKEN TO A LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER AND ALSO SPOKE TO CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE ABOUT THIS. THE TOLD ME THAT THE POTENTIAL DANGER WOULD BE MY ENGINE FALLING OUT WHILE DRIVING.
THE CRADLE AND FRAME IS COMPLETELY RUSTED OUT. MY MOTOR CAN DROP OUT ANY SECOND. IT IS A HAZARD TO BE ON THE ROAD. I CANNOT DRIVE IT. THE CAR IS AT A SHOP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC NOTICED THAT THERE WAS EXTENSIVE RUST AND CORROSION TO THE POINT THAT THE ENGINE CRADLE COULD FRACTURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED BY A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT NOTICED AN ABNORMAL FUEL ODOR INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE ODOR WAS MAKING THE CONTACT ILL AND IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO CONCENTRATE WHILE DRIVING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IF THE FUEL TANK WENT DOWN TO A HALF A TANK, THE FUEL GAUGE AUTOMATICALLY DISPLAYED EMPTY. ALSO, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED OFTEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC AND REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 181,000.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT AN UNKNOWN PART FELL FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FRED MARTIN CHRYSLER (3195 BARBER RD, BARBERTON, OH 44203, (330) 753-4444) WHERE THE RUST ON THE SUBFRAME WAS CONFIRMED. THE DEALER MADE REPAIRS, BUT THE RUST WAS STILL CRUSTED ON THE SUBFRAME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS REPORTS REGARDING THE CHRYSLER PACIFICA HAVING UNDER BODY FRAME DAMAGE. MY MECHANIC INSPECTED THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF MY VEHICLE WHEN PERFORMING AN OIL CHANGE RECENTLY AND NOTICED THAT BOTH SIDES OF THE FRAME ARE SEVERELY RUSTED AND HAVE HOLES IN THEM. HE ADVISED THAT IT WILL NOT BE SAFE FOR DRIVING IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. HE ADVISED THAT THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE UNDER RECALL! PLEASE ADVISE.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE A WEEK AGO, TOOK IT TO WAL-MART TO HAVE FRONT TIRES REPLACED SO I COULD HAVE FRONT STRUTS REPLACED AND AN ALIGNMENT. WAL-MART COULD NOT DO THE JOB BECAUSE OF SUB FRAME ROT.

THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE LOCAL DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 132,000.
MY VEHICLE HAS EXTENSIVE CRADLE ROT UNDERNEATH THE CARRIAGE WHICH CAUSES THE CAR TO SHAKE AND HAS THE POSSIBILITY TO HAVE THE MOTOR DROP OUT OF THE CAR, I WAS HAVING ROUTINE MAINTENCE COMPLETED ON MY CAR WHEN I FOUND THIS OUT. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND ALTHOUGH HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN FILED NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED ON THIS MATTER.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO FIELDS CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM GLENVIEW (2800 PATRIOT BLVD, GLENVIEW, IL 60026, 847-446-5100) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE DEFECT WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE CONTACT WAS GIVEN A QUOTE FOR THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
THE FRONT SUBFRAME IS RUSTED THREW WITH A FIST SIZE WHOLE .. NOW I HAVE TO PAY LABOR AND BUY PIECE CHRYSLER REFUSES TO HELP KNOWNING THE ISSUE THEY CAUSE COULD HURT MY FAMILY AN KIDS DRIVING IN THIS TRUCK IS UNFAR
CAR ENGINE SOMETIMES SHUTS OFF WHEN DOING LEFT HAND TURNS, THE ENGINE LOOSES COMPLETE POWER WHEN THIS HAPPENS. I HAVE TO SHIFT THE CAR INTO PARK TO TURN IT BACK ON. THERE ARE EVAP CODES ON BUT THE CHECK ENGINE DOES NOT TURN ON FOR THESE CODES, SMELL OF UN-BURNT FUEL SOMETIMES MAKES IT IN THE CABIN. THANKFULLY THE STALL HAS NOT HAPPENED WITH CARS COMING TOWARDS ME. THE GAS CAP WARNING ON CONTINUOUSLY EVEN THOUGH I HAVE PURCHASED MANY NEW OEM GAS CAPS. THIS MAY BE RELATED TO: NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 04V113000, 06V432000, NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: EA06013, I INFORMED CHRYSLER BUT THEY SAID MY VIN IS NOT IN THE CURRENT RECALLS AND WAS REFERRED TO CONTACT NHTSA. MY PACIFICA HAS ALSO DEVELOPED A TICKING NOISE THAT HAS REDUCED THE GAS MILEAGE AND ENGINE POWER WHICH I BELIEVE THIS TO BE PART OF AN INTERNAL RECALL WHICH AGAIN CHRYSLER SAYS MY VEHICLE IS NOT PART OF EVEN THOUGH MY VIN MATCHES THE SPECIFICATIONS BELOW: CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION F35 ENGINE CONNECTING ROD BEARING DEBRIS EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, ALL REPAIRS ON INVOLVED VEHICLES ARE TO BE PERFORMED ACCORDING TO THIS NOTIFICATION. RAPID RESPONSE TRANSMITTAL RRT #06-025 HAS BEEN CANCELLED. MODELS 2006 LX CHRYSLER 300, DODGE MAGNUM AND CHARGER 2006 CS CHRYSLER PACIFICA NOTE: THIS NOTIFICATION APPLIES ONLY TO THE ABOVE VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A 3.5L ENGINE ('G', 'V' OR '4' IN THE 8 TH VIN POSITION) WITH ENGINE BUILD DATE CODES FROM 900586 THROUGH 900766. IMPORTANT: THOSE VEHICLES THAT HAVE ALREADY HAD THIS REPAIR PERFORMED, AS DETERMINED BY OUR WARRANTY RECORDS, HAVE BEEN EXCLUDED FROM THIS NOTIFICATION IMPORTANT: SOME OF THE INVOLVED VEHICLES MAY BE IN DEALER VEHICLE INVENTORY. DEALERS SHOULD COMPLETE THIS REPAIR ON THESE VEHICLES BEFORE RETAIL DELIVERY. DEALERS SHOULD ALSO PERFORM THIS REPAIR ON VEHICLES IN FOR SERVICE. FUEL EVAPORATOR FAILED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL VIBRATION COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE SUPPORT WAS RUSTED, AND IT WAS A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION WOULD SEPARATE FROM THE SUBFRAME OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. COURTESY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (440 28TH ST SE, GRAND RAPIDS, MI 49548, (616) 452-2143) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 185,000.
THE CAR STALLS WHILE IN MOTION ON AN INCLINE, MAKING A LEFT OR RIGHT TURNS UP AN INCLINE, AND MAKING U-TURNS ON FLAT SURFACE. THE ENGINE WOULD JUST DIE, THEN I WOULD HAVE TO PUT IT IN PARK AND IT WOULD RESTART. THIS HAPPENED IN CITY STREETS IN SPEEDS UNDER 25MPH. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER A DOZEN TIMES, 3 TIMES THIS MONTH. MECHANIC CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM.
THE CHASSIS THAT CONNECTS UNDER THE ENGINE FROM LEFT FRONT TIRE TO RIGHT FRONT TIRE , WAS DIAGNOSED BY A CERTIFIED AUTO REPAIR SHOP. THAT THE METAL WAS NOT TREATED PROPERLY TO STOP THE METAL FROM CORRODING AND THE POSSIBILITY OF THE ENGINE FALLING OR STEERING COMPROMISED ,I WAS INSTRUCTED BY CHRYSLER IN DETROIT MICHIGAN TO TAKE THE AUTOMOBILE TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP ZIEGLERS IN SCHAUMBURG IL 60172 , TO HAVE A DEALER LOOK AT IT , AND THE DEALER WANTS TO CHARGE ME ALMOST $150.00 BECAUSE THEY WANT A CASE # FIRST BUT THE PEOPLE WE TALKED TO AT CHRYSLER IN DETROIT , NOELOYN AND ANGELICA AT 1-800-247-9753 SAID THEY WERE JUST GOING TO MAKE A NOTATION OF IT . THIS PROBLEM BECAME KNOWN TO MYSELF WHEN THE TEMP DROPPED BELOW 20 DEGREES AROUND NEW YEAR DAY , DRIVING . I HEARD AND FELT LIKE SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE SUSPENSION . I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC , WHO THEN REFERRED ME TO A BODY SHOP ,ELMARS ON NORTH AVE IN GLENDALE HEIGHTS ,IL 60139 WHO SAID THE CHASSIE PART UNDER THE ENGINE WAS NOT COATED TO STOP IT FROM DETERIORATING, BUT IT IS SO BAD , TO NOT DRIVE IT . THE ENGINE MIGHT FALL OUT AND THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL FOR PACIFICAS FROM THE YEARS BEFORE FOR THE SAME DEFAULT

THE CONTACT CALLED A LOCAL DEALER (PUTNAM CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP, 157 PROVIDENCE PIKE, PUTMAN, CT 06260) AND WAS INFORMED TO SCHEDULE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 183,340.
MY CAR HAS 93000 MILES AND EVERYTIME I DRIVE IT IT SHUTS OFF WHEN I COME TO A STOP UNEXPECTEDLY AND THEN I HAVE TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND THE CAR WILL START BACK UP AND I HAD TOOK IT TO CHRYSLER AND THEY SAID THAT THEY WILL CHARGE ME TO LOOK AT IT AND TO EXPECT IT I FEEL LIKE IT'S UNSAFE AND I DON'T KNOW WHEN THE CAR WILL TURN OFF I RESEARCHED IT AND OTHER CARS LIKE MINDS WAS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AND THEY WAS ISSUED OR RECALL AND MY VIN ISN'T POPPING UP UNDER THE RECALL LIST BUT I THINK I'M HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AS THE OTHERS AND SOMETIMES WHEN I DRIVE OR WHEN I'M AT A STANDSTILL MY VEHICLE TURNS OFF

I HAD THE OIL CHANGED ON DECEMBER 20TH, 2017, AND WHEN I PICKED UP THE CAR, THE MECHANIC TOLD ME THE ENGINE WAS READY TO FALL OUT. HE SAID THE SUB FRAME THAT SUPPORTS THE ENGINE WAS ROTTED OUT AND READY TO FAIL. I WAS ADVISED NOT TO DRIVE THE CAR IN THIS CONDITION.I WAS GIVEN A QUOTE OF AROUND $3,000.00 TO FIX IT. I'VE BEEN DRIVING FOR OVER 50 YEARS AND NEVER HEARD OF ANY CAR EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM.
CAR MILEAGE 59,698. IN DECEMBER 2017 TOOK MY CAR FOR A TIRE ROTATION AS THE 2 FRONT TIRES ARE SHOWING VISIBLE WEAR AND WAS TOLD BY MECHANIC THAT MY SUB FRAME BELOW THE ENGINE IS ROTTED OUT. AND YEP SAW IT FOR MYSELF. BOTH SIDES OF FRAME ROTTED OUT WITH VISIBLE HOLES. WAS TOLD SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF THERE ARE CRACKS OR SEAMS WHICH ALLOWED WATER AND JUNK IN BUT NO WHERE FOR IT TO EXIT. WAS QUOTED $1600 TO REPLACE. VERY UPSET AS WE HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS OUT OF POCKET AND VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE OTHER THEN VERY SHORT DISTANCES UNTIL WE CAN AFFORD TO FIX IT. ALSO WE ARE THINKING 2 FRONT TIRES ARE OUT OF TREAD AND NEED REPLACED WAS/IS CAUSED FROM THE SUB FRAME BEING DEFECTIVE AND THROWING VEHICLE TIRES OUT OF BALANCE. SO AS WELL, WE HAVE TO PURCHASE 2 NEW TIRES. FIX I
TOOK VEHICLE IN FOR EXHAUST REPAIR. WHEN HOISTED UP THE MECHANIC INFORMED ME OF ENGINE CRADLE ROT. HE SAID THE DRIP HOSE IS DRIPPING ONTO THE ENGINE CRADLE. CALLED CHRYSLER CUSTOME ASSISTANCE, THEY SENT ME TO ROSEVILLE CHRYSLER IN ROSEVILLE, MI FOR INSPECTION, UNDER CASE #32879012. SERVICE ADVISOR BRYAN COLLINS TOLD ME THE SAME THING ENGINE CRADLE ROT DUE TO DRIP HOSE DRIPPING ON ENGINE CRADLE. CHRYSLER CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE SAID NO RECALL ON VEHILCLE AND IT IS OUT OF WARRENTY. MY RESPONSIBILITY FOR REPAIR. I EXPLAINED THAT IT WAS AN ENGINERING DESIGN ERROR AND THE DRIP HOSE SHOULD HAVE BEEN LONG ENOUGH TO ROUTE IT PAST THE ENGINE CRADLE.

THE ENGINE CRADLE IS RUSTING OUT DUE TO CHRYSLERS INABILITY TO WANT TO FIX THE PROBLEM. MIGHT HAVE TO SEND THE CAR TO THE JUNKYARD
CRADLE THAT SUPPORTS THE ENGINE, FRONT SUSPENSION AND DRIVELINE IS RUSTED THROUGH. THE VEHICLE IS IN OTHERWISE VERY GOOD CONDITION AND ONLY HAS JUST OVER 42,000 MILES OF USE. I WAS TOLD TODAY THAT IT WILL NOT PASS NEW YORK STATE VEHICLE INSPECTION DUE TO THIS ROT. I AM NOW IN THE PROCESS OF PAYING FOR THE REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR. INTERNET SEARCH NOTES THAT CHRYSLER HAS KNOWN OF THIS VERY IMPORTANT SAFETY DEFECT FOR YEARS! NO NOTIFICATION TO OWNERS AND NO RESOLUTION IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE
SUBFRAME IS RUSTED TO THE POINT OF DANGEROUS DRIVING. WAS TOLD TO PARK THE CAR UNTIL REPAIRS MADE. WAS HAVING BRAKES INSTALLED WHEN MECHANIC NOTICED THE SEVERE RUST..INCLUDING STRUTS. I REPLACED ENTIRE EXHAUST SYSTEM RELATED TO SEVERE RUST
ENGINE CRADLE/SUB-FRAME ROTTED COMPLETELY DUE TO RUST, ONE SIDE BROKE FREE YESTERDAY, LEAVING THE ENGINE ONLY SUPPORTED BY ONE SIDE OF A STILL INCREDIBLY RUSTED AND ROTTED ENGINE CRADLE. THE VEHICLE IS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE, AND IS MY ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION ALONG WITH A NECESSITY FOR ME TO DO MY JOB AND EARN MONEY. I HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS, AND I AM NOW WITHOUT A CAR I VERY MUCH NEED. CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE, BUT ONLY ISSUED A RECALL FOR PACIFICAS MANUFACTURED IN MARCH-APRIL 2004 THAT ALSO WERE SOLD IN SALT-BELT STATES. I LIVE IN WISCONSIN, SO IT IS A SALT-BELT STATE. HOWEVER, MY PACIFICA WAS MANUFACTURED IN OCTOBER 2005 SO IT IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE RECALL. MY FINAL PAYMENT OF A 48-MONTH AUTO LOAN IS DUE IN 2 WEEKS, AND MY CAR IS A TOTAL LOSS. I NEED A SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM.

I OWN A 2006 CHRYSLER PACIFICA WITH A RUSTED, ROTTED, AND BROKEN SUB-FRAME & ENGINE CRADLE WHICH COULD HAVE RESULTED IN CATASTROPHE HAD IT GIVEN OUT AT HIGH SPEEDS & THE ENGINE FELL OUT OF THE CAR OR HIT THE GROUND. THERE HAVE BEEN MANY, MANY REPORTS OF THIS ISSUE - JUST THE ONES THAT I'VE FOUND, BUT THERE'S BEEN NO INVESTIGATION THAT I CAN FIND. THERE ARE NO RECALLS EXCEPT THE ONE RECALL ISSUED FOR CHRYSLER PACIFICAS IN SNOW-BELT STATES THAT WERE BUILT DURING A 6-WEEK PERIOD IN 2004, THIS ONLY COVERS THE 2004-05 MODELS. EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A WELL-KNOWN PROBLEM IN ALL 2004-2008 CHRYSLER PACIFICAS, NOT JUST THE ONES BUILT IN THAT SMALL WINDOW OF TIME FROM FEBRUARY-MARCH 2004. MY CAR WAS MANUFACTURED IN OCTOBER 2005. THERE IS NO RECOURSE FOR OWNERS, EXCEPT TO PAY $4,000-$5,000 OUT OF POCKET TO REPAIR IT, IF IT'S REPAIRABLE. MINE IS NOT. I LOST ANY VALUE THAT WAS IN MY CHRYSLER PACIFICA, WHICH ASIDE FROM THIS MAJOR STRUCTURAL ISSUE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I WASN'T ABLE TO TRADE IT IN ON A NEW VEHICLE, I WAS SIMPLY OUT A CAR I TOOK CARE OF AND PAID GOOD MONEY FOR. I EVEN WASHED AND WAXED THE CAR OFTEN DURING THE WINTER MONTHS TO PREVENT RUST, AS I DO WITH ALL MY CARS LIVING IN NORTHERN WISCONSIN. THIS IS NOT SIMPLY A RUST ISSUE, IF IT WAS THEN THIS WOULD HAPPEN TO ALL OTHER MAKES AND MODEL OF CARS, TOO. THERE ARE 80 YEAR OLD CARS WITH BETTER SUB-FRAMES THAN MY 12 YEAR OLD CAR. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT THIS. AND I'M NOT ALONE. THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ABOUT THIS FILED IN OHIO BUT IT WAS DISMISSED BY A FEDERAL JUDGE. THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHER COMPLAINTS ONLINE, I'M SURE A LOT OF THEM ARE ON YOUR OWN WEBSITE. SO PLEASE HELP US OUT WITH THIS!!!! WE CAN'T AFFORD TO HIRE LAWYERS THAT ARE WILLING TO TAKE ON CHRYSLER!!! WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! THERE ARE A LOT OF THESE CARS STILL ON THE ROAD TODAY! PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!!!!
SUBFRAME ROT. TOLD MUST BE REPLACED NOW AS IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND A POT HOLE COULD CAUSE A LACK OF STEERING CAUSING A CRASH.
TOOK CAR IN FOR ROUTINE OIL CHANGE. TECH CAME BACK AND SAID THAT THE ENGINE IS ABOUT READY TO FALL THROUGH DUE TO THE FRAME AND ENGINE CRADLE RUSTING THROUGH.
CAR IS STALLING WHILE DRIVING AND FUEL PUMP AND SYSTEM HAVE HAD TO BE REPLACED TWICE! HEAD LIGHTS AND TURNING SIGNALS ARE HAVE TO BE REPLACED OFTEN AS WELL!
TAKATA RECALL I WAS TOLD AT 118,963 MILES THAT MY PACIFICA IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF A NEW SUBFRAME.
FRAME ROTTED OUT UNDER ENGINE, GARAGE SAID ENGINE COULD FALL OUT. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL YEARS AGO JUST TOOK IT IN FOR AN ALIGNMENT AND THEY TOLD ME THE CAR WASN'T SAFE TO DRIVE.
THE CROSS MEMBER THAT SUPPORTS THE DRIVE TRAIN IS RUSTED AT THE JOINTS WHERE IT MEETS THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE. THIS AFFECTS BOTH STEERING AND SHIFTING, AS THE MOTOR WILL ACTUALLY SHIFT ON INITIAL PULL OFF; AND BECAUSE THE STEERING IS ANCHORED ON THE SAME MEMBER, LOOSENESS IN THE STEERING WHEEL CAN ALSO BE FELT. I NOTICED THE RUSTING ABOUT A YEAR AGO WHEN I WENT TO DO MY FIRST OIL CHANGE AS THE CAR OWNER. ON 9/12/2017 I WAS RIDING HOME AND HEARD A METALLIC CLANK, AS IF SOMETHING HAD FALLEN OFF OF THE VEHICLE. UPON ARRIVING AT HOME, I LOOKED UNDER THE VEHICLE. YOU CAN SEE THAT THE CROSS MEMBER IS RUSTING AND TWISTING UNDER THE LOAD OF THE ENGINE. I AM LEARY ABOUT DRIVING THE VEHICLE, BUT IT IS MY ONLY MODE OF TRANSPORTATION.
THE SUBFRAME HAS ROTTED. THE ROCKERS ROTTED. MY ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS FAILING. I HAVE ONLY OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR 7 MONTHS.
